You and Me Chapter 12: The Final Task: He's Back: Cedric's Death
Alright guys my goal for this story is to make it to 20,000 words so please bear with me this is going to be one long chapter. I also wanted to let you all know that I now have a updated voting list for you

And I just started a Harry/ Fleur story keep leaving me your suggestions on possible pairings Harry does not have to be involved if you don't want him to be.
Continuing from where we left off last time:
"Wow Mione I never thought I would hear you say the words don't worry and relax together"
"Well don't get used to it Ronald Weasley"
Everyone laughed "don't worry I won't"
"So seriously guys what do you think this final task is going to be like?" Ron asked everyone
"Well if it is going to be anything like the other two then I don't want to know I barely survived them"
Cedric kissed Harry "you did great love. Don't forget you are tied with me for first place"
"thanks love but that doesn't make me feel any better. But seriously guys I'm really worried that something else is going to happen here"
Viktor looks at him concerned "what do you mean love?"
Harry looks at Draco and Draco nods in understanding "I think my life is going to get a whole lot more complicated than it already is"
Ron looks at Draco "Dray is there something you know that we don't"
Draco shakes his head "I don't know any specific details because my father doesn't want to put me in harm's way but something is definitely going to happen and soon"
Hermione shudders and Fred puts his hands on her shoulder's "that really doesn't sound good should we tell Dumbledore?"
"No"
Everyone just looks at Harry "why not"
"I don't really trust him right now. I feel like he is holding important information back from me and I don't like it. If I'm going to tell anyone it will be Moony and Siri no one else. Even then I'm not sure if I really do want to say anything"
Draco is the first to speak "Harry this concerns everyone's safety you have to tell someone and I'm sure Snape knows more than my father does"
"Yeah you are probably right but is it worth the risk"
Seamus speaks up next "it absolutely is Harry no one wants to see you get hurt again"
"Thanks Seamus. Alright I will tell Moony and Siri but after I have had some rest I am really tired" everyone agrees that a real rest is in order and they all go to their appropriate places. Only Harry is unable to sleep at all he just keeps tossing and turning and sweating a lot. Ron comes over and shakes him "Harry wake up you need to wake up" but Harry isn't able to wake so Ron panics and grabs Mione "hey I need your help Harry is tossing and turning and sweating really bad but he won't wake up"
"We need to get professor McGonagall and now" Ron nods and rushes to get their head of house. A couple of minutes later Ron returns with Professor McGonagall "what happened here?"
"I'm not sure he has been like this for at least 20 minutes maybe more"
She sends her patronus to Poppy and to Severus "bring them both here as fast as you can". 10 minutes pass when two concerned adults come rushing through to the common room where Harry is laying on the couch.
Severus speaks first "I think he is having a very bad dream and he can't get out of it."
Poppy comes to the same conclusion "he is not a harm to himself but in order to get him out of it we should fetch his boyfriends to see if they can free him from this"
Again Ron leaves to find Cedric and Viktor and he runs into Draco on the way "we need to find Cedric and Viktor now"
Draco nods "I will get Viktor you go and get Cedric and we will meet back here" Ron nods and kisses Draco quick before going off to find Cedric. 10 minutes later all four of them arrive in the Gryffindor common room and Cedric and Viktor walk over to Harry.
Snape looks at them "you should start talking to him one at a time and see if he responds. Let him know that everything is okay and that you are both right here with him" they both nod and Cedric goes first "Harry love its me Cedric it is okay to wake up I'm right here with you and so is Viktor"
"Harry I promise I am here too don't worry you can wake up now love everyone is safe" Harry starts to open his eyes and immediately starts to cry. "love what happened?"
Harry shakes his head "I saw Ced die right in front of my eyes and there was nothing that I could do about it"
"Love I'm not going anywhere and you know it I love you too much to do that to you" Harry just tells them about the rest of the dream and everyone just listens to him not saying a word and after Harry feels a lot better about everything and that Cedric and Viktor aren't going anywhere anytime soon.
The next month flies by and before anyone knew it the final task had arrived.
Dumbledore walked to the center of the stage "champions gather around please. Now things are not going to appear as they seam and many challenges will be there waiting for you all. Use caution and never put your guard down. Now go back to your places and get ready" the champions all turn to their places "now since Harry and Cedric are tied for first place they will enter the maze first followed by Mr. Krum and Miss. Delecour. On the sound of the cannon you may start"
The cannon sounds and Harry and Cedric enter the maze and it closes behind them. A couple minutes later both Viktor and Fleur have entered the maze and the games began. So far nothing was out of the ordinary until Harry hears Fleur screaming and sends up red sparks so someone can come retrieve her and bring her to safety. All of the sudden the maze starts to collapse and Harry starts to run for his life to a safer place in the maze. Then he sees curses flying in two different directions "Harry get down" Cedric yells at him and he does as he is told. Cedric and Viktor are throwing curses at each other and Harry can't take it anymore so he stands up and throws one at Viktor causing him to return back to normal.
"Harry where did you learn that spell?
"I don't know I read it in one of the books I received for my birthday. Now we need to figure out where the end of the maze is and finish this thing already I can't take it."
Cedric and Viktor nod in agreement and the three of them start searching for a way out of the maze. About an hour later they finally spot the cup and the three make a sprint for it until vines start coming up from the ground trying to grab them and bring them down. They all manage to escape the vines and then they stop in front of the cup and start to argue about who should take it
"Guys I don't feel right about this something feels really off to me. I mean I had the easiest time finding this thing what about you two?"
Cedric shakes his head "no it was aweful everywhere I turned something new was thrown my way"
Viktor nods "I agree it was the same for me then all of the sudden I lost control. I have this feeling that someone only wants Harry to find this cup and finish and that I'm not okay with because it could be danagerous"
"Then lets all take it"
Cedric shakes his head "no one of us should stay behind in case something does happen then someone can warn the others"
"That is a good idea Ced I think Viktor should stay behind because I'm sorry to say this but Ced you are the smartest one of all of us."
"No offense taken love you two do it I will wait outside the maze"
Harry and Cedric grab the cup and then they suddenly disappear. 'oh that is not good I better warn everyone' Viktor sends up red sparks and he is retrieved and his dad comes up to him "Viktor where are Cedric and Harry"
Viktor is still in a state of shock but then he gets himself out of it "we all got to the cup at the same time but we all decided that someone should stay behind in case anything happened. As soon as they touched the cup they disappeared I think someone bewitched the cup and turned it into a portkey"
Snape looked shocked "that's impossible the only one that knew where the cup was in the maze was Mad eye and where is he?"
All of the sudden Severus' arm starts to burn "oh no this is not good they are in serious danger he is coming back"
Back with Cedric and Harry "Ced I have been here before it was in some of my dreams you need to get out of here please"
Cedric looked at Harry and he saw the pain in his eyes but refused"I'm sorry but I cannot leave you here alone, if something happened to you I wouldn't be able to live with myself" he kisses Harry and grabs his hand and gives it a little squeeze. Harry looks at him and knows that this will be a losing battle for him and doesn't say anything else about it. Then all of the sudden they see a man coming toward them and Cedric asks "Harry who is that?" but before Harry could answer Wormtail comes toward them carrying something in one arm and a wand in the other hand and he throws Harry up against a tombstone with a spell and before Cedric can do anything "Ava Kadava is thrown at him and hits him square in the chest. Harry screams and watches in horror as he sees the light leave his beloveds eyes "CEDRIC! No" tears are now streaming down his face. He watches Wormtail drop whatever it was that he was holding into a giant black kettle and continue to throw more things into the pot. While he is there he hears a little voice inside of his head 'this is very important that you listen to me they need blood from you but it has to be unwillingly given so you need to make sure that you willingly give it to them'
Harry doesn't know where the voice is coming from but he feels safe so he does what he is told to do. Voldy cannot come back at full strength because of this. Lucius appears and before any harm can be inflicted on Harry and takes him and at Harry's request they also bring Cedric's lifeless body and escapes. He then brings him back to Hogwarts where he is swarmed by hugs from all of his friends and he is also swarmed by a thousand more questions. However something is wrong because Lucius steps away from Harry's trembling body shaking with his head on top of another. Viktor knows who it is and immediately rushes over to Harry and he tries to get him to let go. "NO! Its all my fault"
Dumbledore comes over "please give him some space. Harry what happened?"
"He's back he hit him with the curse and there was nothing that I could do headmaster Voldamort is back!"
He looks at him and Lucius speaks up "it is true that he is back however he is still not at full strength since Harry willingly gave him blood instead of unwillingly and unfortunately Wormtail was the one to kill the boy"
"why would he do that?"
"Because I told him to that's why. I knew what was needed so I whispered in his ear and told him what to do and as for the other matter I am not entirely sure" everyone in the audience is standing up at this point watching in shock. Cedric's father runs down shouting "that's my boy!" over and over again.
Viktor managed to get Harry to let go and he looks up at Lucius "thank you for saving him" Lucius nods "your welcome I am just sorry that I could not save them both"
Sirius and Remus come running and stop dead in their tracks. Sirius gets down on his knees "Harry pup, look at me please" Harry looks up at him "this is not your fault none of it is" Harry shakes his head "No! you stop that right now young man I will not allow you to destroy yourself over something that no one could have predicted or been able to stop."
Remus looks at them "lets get these two out of here and somewhere more private." Sirius agrees and the four of them leave to go somewhere with more privacy.
"Does anyone know where Mad eye went off too?"
Severus looks up at them "I really don't think that is the real Mad eye I could smell something coming from that flask he kept drinking from and I knew that it smelled familiar but I couldn't put my finger on it until now. It's the polyjuice potion so whoever it really is they are the one's who wanted Harry dead"
"Well we need to find him and fast" before they all race to find him Cedric's body is moved to the infirmary. The gang they stand there still shell shocked. Finally Luna speaks up "
We need to make sure they were all here for Viktor and especially Harry"
Ron and Hermione agree along with the twins.
Back with Sirius, Remus, Viktor, and Harry in the room of requirements.
Harry just screams "Why wouldn't that stubborn bastard listen to me! If he had he would still be here right now" Viktor holds him and Harry is trying to fight him but he is to strong and finally Harry breaks down in his arms.
Remus "I can't believe this happened, what is Amos going to do without his only child?"
Sirius replies "I'm not sure but his wife is one strong cookie she will keep them together and they have another son"
"Oh that's right I forgot he went to another school." He looks at Viktor and Harry "if you two need anything at all don't be afraid to ask"
Harry finally calmed down "who will be next?"
They look at him puzzled and confused. Sirius looks at him "what do you mean who will be next?"
"I mean which one of you will be taken from me next, it seems that everyone I love gets taken away" Viktor just squeezes him "I promze you I vont be going anywhere" "And neither will we!"
Harry slightly smiles "there it is that smile I love so much" Viktor kisses him "we will get through this but we will do it together"
