(Sonic's POV)
The next morning, I was at the Speed Gravity area to compete against Jet since he's been so impatient to have a rematch. Only this time, I'm doing this race without my hoverboard. He knows I have super speed, literally. But there's no way he can match against my speed.
"Don't get so cocky, speedster! I fly like a bird that are fast flyers!" Jet said, getting ready for the countdown.
"You may be fast like a bird but I am fast as the wind." I said, stretching my legs and hopping up and down to get the blood flowing.
"This time I'll win for sure!" Jet said.
"Jet, life is not a competition! Everyone is all equal and you know that. So, don't always think you're better than anyone." I said, slightly annoyed that he can't let go of trying so hard to be on top of everyone else.
"We shall see this time. I am not gonna be second best." Jet scoffs.
"You can't beat anyone that is the best, Jet." I criticized him as the countdown begins.
"3...2...1...GO!" The alarm was set off and we both speeded off.
I ran beside Jet in the tracks as he stood up on his hover board. "My speed can travel through space and time and I see things very slow in my perspective!" I laughed and passed by him.
"DAMN YOU!" He flipped out and increased his board's speed.
Oh shit. If he goes way too fast, he'll get hurt for sure. I gotta stop him. "YEEEEEHAWWWW!" He glides on the tracks.
"Jet, stop! You'll get hurt!" I yelled at him to stop.
"This is my race, I get to-…WOAAAAH!" He fell off the board not paying attention to the tracks.
I went lightspeed to try to save him from hurting himself. He was gonna land on the side of the track with a head concussion but with my speed, I saved him in time and I ran to the goal placing him down. He looked confused to what just happened because I went too fast.
"I warned you Jet." I told him.
"Hmph! You're so out of racing! There's no point challenging you." Jet replied in anger.
"Hey I saved your life!" I shouted at him.
"That's my problem, not yours!" Jet argued back.
"Jet, winning doesn't make a person win, it's about having fun. You can't always prove yourself to win all the time." I said, I just hate it when he doesn't mature enough.
"Right." He left in a huff.
Damn it he's so insensitive with himself. I don't like it when a person is insensitive to themselves. I left him alone and sped around in the city in my lightspeed to see everything going slightly slow in my perspective.

I stepped aside from one citizen dropping cards and then I ran down a street, seeing a truck going slowly I grinned excitement and jumped over it. I came to a stop and saw some people like an alien boy's ice cream about to fall off. A biker about to get cupcakes onto his face from a girl tripping over as well a red-haired girl with a blue vest about to get soda onto herself from another girl.
I first put the ice cream back in place and before then I cracked my fingers and cocks my neck to get prepared. I ran and moved the cupcakes back on the plate the baker held, then scooped the soda back into the mug to the redhead and even moved a dog aside from the street with a cat.

I was born to break free
I just love running so fast as the wind can carry me. Then I stopped by at the chili dog stand; I'm not the patient guy around here but I simply saw the price of the chili dog and put my change to the guy and grabbed a chili dog and sped away. No one can see me in the blink of an eye because I'm too fast. Especially how I'm able to keep my chili dog in my hand from getting blown away from my speed.
What's really crazy is that from the beginning I wasn't used to my speed because my stomach flips up and down like it won't keep my lunch down but now that I'm adapted, I can finally get the hang of it without throwing up. And best of all I don't have to worry about my weight either.

I ate my chili dog while running and gave out a loud belch as I came back inside the academy and sped into the training room.
I see from slow motion of Amy about to hit her head on the high beam while doing a clumsy backflip in midair. Silver looks like he's doing fine with lifting weights physically and Shadow just punching the punching bag. Looks like I got a damsel in distress to save, even if she'll get upset that she got this. I ran and jumped up and grabbed her, putting her into a safe spot. And everything from my perspective went to normal speed.

"What the?" Amy was confused at first but then realized, "Saved me again, huh?"
"Yup. I never get tired of that, milady. I'm like the spirit of the wind." I said with my cocky tone.
"A lady can fight her own battles." Amy rolled her eyes.
"And a lady has her man as her knight in shining armor. Don't forget that, young lady." I smirked and jumped on the high beam to do my speed of balancing myself.
"Of course." Amy chuckled.
"I may have sharp reflexes in gymnast but I am more of a man with a fighter in my passion." I said, doing flips on the high beam.
"A sweet passion, yes." Amy said.
"Does being sexy mean alot to you or is your beauty more attractive?" I teased her did a back flip.
"I'd say my beauty is more attractive." Amy giggled.
"Especially with your ears and tail; your tail is wagging a little because you find me attractive." I teased her and jumped off the high beam.
"Nope, I'm just feeling what I need to feel whenever my tail wags." Amy said.
"Okay then, gorgeous." I teased her but she only brushed it off and kissed my cheek. "My sweet rose." I blushed from the kiss.

A while later, we were called by Espio that he has a mission for us to investigate the jungle bioluminescent planet that Shadow sent Starline to.
"No problem, master. My teammates and I don't need a ship because I can create portals. Perhaps that crazy lunatic went primal." Shadow said.
"Be careful when you arrive there. The dangers there are unpredictable." Espio said.
"Our badass ears will warn us if there's danger lurking around." I said, point at my ears.
"Good. Find if Starline is alive." Espio said.
"And if he's turned into a wild man, we'll just leave him be." Shadow said.
"Yes, but if you find him bring him back to the academy." Espio said.
"And if he's beyond psycho?" Silver asked.
"Do whatever it takes." Espio replied.
