Pov third person
the Silverwings continued their flight despite the fall of the two, but when Ariel saw Mercury return he approached him "where are they?" the male with a look full of guilt said "I'm sorry Ariel, I can't get them back"
Ariel, panicked, fly down but was stopped by Mercury "Ariel is too late!"
"no I can still save them, I can still put them back!"
Mercury prevent her from passing "let me go Mercury!"
"this is not a suicide, I will not let you die too"
"you cannot say that they are dead!" the female growls with rage
"Ariel I know you're in pain but it's your pain that makes you deny the evidence, you're just trying to give yourself a false hope" "no, don't .." Ariel said with eyes starting to redden
"it's late and you know it too, I'm sorry, but they're gone"
Ariel could if she felt the tears flowing from her eyes, she knew how things were but she couldn't believe it, she had lost her son and Frisk who had become like a daughter for her, Mercury came close to her
"I know I'm sorry, but we have to go on" Ariel replied between sobs
"yes, let's go" Ariel as he flew felt his heart in pieces, the tears that fell from his heals were mingled with the rain hiding them.
Batsheba watch Ariel for a second and then look down, a cruel smile dyed on his face "now that both the human and that lawbreaker are gone, things will get better for the colony" she said to himself and if I keep flying to the land .
Pov Frisk
I was resting like a baby bat upside down in the hut, when you hear someone shake me "Frisk wake up" recognized Shade's voice, but I snorted and plunged into my wings "come on and time to get up" insisted "another five minutes Shade" "we have to get back on the road, reach the colony, remember?"
at that moment my head goes back to place, it was true we had to find the colony, you came out of my wings and you unroll my arms "aah" I yawned "finally you are awake" Shade exclaimed "yes, where is Marina?" I asked noticing his absence
"she went on, she's waiting for us on the beach" he replied, without wasting any more time I got up from the roost and flew out of the hut with Shade in front of me.
Marina was on the spur that was waiting for us on a rock, we landed near her "you woke up eh sleepy sleeper" she said, I blushed I scratched my head
"sorry" "well are we ready to go?" Shade asked with a smile, there was no need to ask.
We left in the meantime flying high above the sea, I smiled at the idea of leaving that place, not that I don't like tropical islands, but I don't intend to live there like Robinson Cruso
"i never thought i'd leave that island" said Marina excited as much as we are
"you do remember what an island, is right guys, body of land surrounded by water"
"it would surprise me if you didn't remember it since you lived there for years" Marina smiled at my joke, Shade in the meantime, flew panting from the fatigue of stand behind it
"keep it up Shade you're doing great, for a Silverwing"
"hey I'm a silverwing too" I said smiling, she replied "now who is it that forgets things? Were you human? " smiles at his joke it was true, meanwhile Shade continued to struggle to keep up
"is everything okay Shade?" I asked approaching me a little
"yes, don't worry about me, i'ma join this" he said before each word that said "come on guys, i'll soon be sunrise"
"yeah thanks for the update" Shade sarcastic exclaim
I pushed further towards Marina, while Shade kept fighting to get closer to us "Marina, listen we can't slow down a bit so Shade can rest?"
"if we slow down again we won't reach never the shore in time "she was right but Shade was still in the back and was moving her wings with great effort, but in that moment one sound caught our attention, it was like many whistles almost like laughter coming from above the clouds, we looked at the top and we saw a shadow, which was approaching us, I watched her carefully her figure with each step became clearer and clearer until it took shape, it was a seagull who approached us laughing with that whistle, who was watching with a smile as if he was letting go of laughter,Shade upset by the bird asked him
"what'so funny"
"you guys are working, where heat you hard" he replied in a shrill voice, while filming to laugh, after having had enough fun, went back, climbed to the top of the clouds.
I looked at him with an angry look, thinking of more than one swear word that I could have yelled at him.
Marina at that moment launched an echo wave towards the clouds, she had touched some house, it was a moment but I managed to distinguish three silhouettes of birds
"come on guys go up" exclaims Marina starting to climb on the clouds, I flew to Shade and said
"come on Shade let's fly up"
"yes" he exclaims
together we pushed ourselves towards the clouds to reach the sky. The clouds were indeed hazy and cold but not too much to freeze, out of the cumulus of clouds we reached the clear sky, a few steps from us was Marina with three seagulls flying around her, Shade pushed towards them and I followed him without much effort. the three gulls kept making that shrill little snort like whistles as they circled us, flapping their wings once or twice maximum
"you brought me here to watch fievel bird tricks" Shade asked Marina with a frown "no just hold your wings out" replied Marina, at that moment Shade stopped and fell, but immediately resumed Flying
"Shade I have an idea, we imitate these birds "

both I and Shade made a maneuver and we cleared Marina, but we crashed into each other, we regained the balance immediately "uh" I sighed "you guys should watch where you fly" answered Marina passing us "hey it doesn't end here" Shade replied flying after her, I giggled and joined them.
third person Pov
meanwhile in the city.
two pigeons a male and a female after a long day walking around the city decided to rest for a while on the roof of a building, near the air vent, the female ruffles her feathers from exhaustion and begins to relax, the male approached her and pretending to yawn I raise her left wing which I slowly lower to wrap the female with it, but she shook at that action and said
"no Hank, I told you I don't feel ready for this yet" she said offense
"oh come on Debby, why do you keep being difficult, I like you, you like me, why wait any longer?"
she snorted and said "how do you say i like you? just because i spend time with you i dont say i love you and i am actually dating other males" when she said this the male goes pale
"you see other males besides me !? "
she just blushed brightly without giving an answer
"who do you see! you're meeting with Freg, right! With that crow's face!"
but she stopped him and said "calm down, I'm not interested in Freg or other males, I just wanted to be sure not to be foolish to choose you, like my husband"
the male feels his heart pounding when his girlfriend said the word " husband "stammering said
" do you want to marry me? " she replied
"yes"
he felt in heaven at the sound of "yes" he start fantasizing about their marriage and their life together.
the two, however, did not imagine that that gigantic figure with his hand stopped the fan and came out of it and slowly approached them while they were talking

Frisk pov
we had spent the day in a cave near the sea, we had flown all night and reached the mainland before dawn.
I slowly open my eyes, my vision is blurred but gradually it began to clear up, I yawned freeing myself from the last residues of sleep in me, I stretched my wings to free myself from the feeling of numbness.
once fully awake I got off my roost and flew near Shade and Marina who were still sound asleep, a sly smile dyed on my face, I thought you have a funny way of making them wake up, I landed on a stalagmite next to them , I approached with a fluid and silent step, finding myself in the middle between them, I spread my wings and clapped my hands with force creating it was strong
"Blat !"
that frightened the two making them wake up suddenly, they began to burst their wings as if they were about to chase something away, while they said confused words on their faces there were funny and strange expressions, they calmed down as soon as the shock ended , confusion, but looking at them I could only smile and laugh
"ah ah good night guys" I said laughing lightly
Marina came down from the roost and approached me
"Frisk, you gave me a heart attack" Marina said frowning
"sorry guys, but you have to admit, that it was fun at least a little "
Shade thought about it for a moment, remembering the foolish moves they had made for the fright and a light laugh slips from his mouth, in a few minutes It become an amused laugh, Marina seeing him laugh begins to think about it too and even though she hated doing it, she admitted that it was actually funny uan laugh It begin to form from her too, ending up laughing out loud
"yes it was fun, but Frisk will pay for this, I'll scare you sooner or l ater "Marina said, still laughing.
we returned serious and tried to think of a way to locate the colony, Marina was the first to speak
"it's not a big problem, let's check the map and reach a point of the colony map and wait for them",
but Shade replied "I've never used the sonar map, I don't know how to do it"
"yeah right quit playing games" Marina said smiling, but as soon as she saw Shade's serious expression her smile disappeared
"you ' re not kidding are you? "Marina asked, Shade nodded
"Holly sunlight Shade, now you tell me this"
I answered "but Marina is the first migration of his life and it is natural that he is not an expert in this"

I closed my eyes and started playing it in my head, I began to visualize images, the forest and the city, a nuclear power plant ... but everything was cut short by the figure of Brutus surrounded by pigeons in a sort of abandoned building, then I saw some huge bat figures ... a stone Gargoyle statue, and a voice "my name and Zephyr", a jolt of energy take me back to reality, my eyes snapped open, my head hurt like if I hit her against a wall, the pain lasts for a minute and then disappears completely, I shake my head to fully recover, when I turned my gaze to Shade and Marina I noticed that they looked at me with a look mixed between fear and confusion
"guys everything good ?" I asked with concern
Shade Pon
Frisk starts to ring the map in his head, she was squirming and moaning surely she was feeling the same pain I felt, but then she stops ... both Marina and I watched her for a moment, her arms were going to fall limp on her hips, she remained with her eyes closed in a straight posture for more than 20 seconds which worries us,
"Frisk, are you ..." Marina exclaims coming up to her, but suddenly Frisk's eyes widened inside them there was the same fading blue light that I saw when Tree Haven caught fire

I closed my eyes and started to use the sonar map again, as before I saw those blurry images vibrating in my head, but this time I concentrated and tried to focus on the point after the sea, after the coast and a dense bush I saw a city full of lights that covered it. I reopened my eyes and turned to the girls
"I saw a city and one catheter and tower , that's where the colony will go" "then that's where we'll go ... now .. let's see who comes first" he said Marina flying out of the cave "hey" I exclaimed flying after him with Frisk next to me.

the colony continued its journey towards their first stop the city, meanwhile Ariel kept looking back hoping that his boys would return, his heart was inconsolable but in the depth he felt that they were still alive somewhere but alive and would return , Bathsheba approached the poor mother and said in a serious voice she said
"for your own good, you should forget about your boy and human there's no way they survived that storm"
but Ariel replied "you're wrong they are still out there, I can hear it "
Bathsheba snorted and said with a slight growl
" a mother's faith touching but foolish "
Frida stepped in between and said
" we will continue this once at the catheter "
Bathsheba grimaced in anger as Frida kept talking
" where we can wait for one more night together "
Ariel gave a slight smile
" as an alder you have to think about what's best for the entere colony "
replied Bathsheba
" we are well ahead of schedule, we c an afford a little extra time in the city "
" fine but if they doesn't show by there we move on "
Bathsheba growled, moving away from the two, Ariel turned to Frida and said "thanks Frida"
"i think your faith in Shade and Frisk are well-placed but Ariel, a word of caution, wacth what you say to Bathsheba" Ariel hearing his words he could only nod and continue on his way.
Frisk Pov
we reached the city in just an hour by flight. the city lights were dazzling but strangely attractive, I was wondering what city it was? it was very big and very bright, I saw the street the shops and many cars passing by
"wow it's so cool" said Shade happy to see a human city for the first time
"it is beautiful, but there is too much light and you can't see much "Marina eclaim
" why do humans need so much light? " Shade wondered
"why we can't see in the dark like you do and so we light up our cities to see" I replied, the two smiled lightly when I said
"you must greatly emphasize the lack of night vision" Marina said
"no to the truth , but I have to admit it would be handy to have it and not just when I'm a bat, "I replied with a light chuckle.
while we were flying we paid attention to where we were going but because of the light it was difficult to concentrate on where the tower of the cathedral we were looking for was

at that precise moment the hands of the clock marked the new time and the clock began to play its companion, the sound waves hit us sending us into confusion causing a strong headache to all three, we lost our balance and we fell , but luckily the stun hard only for a moment so we were able to regain control and fly back to the top

before we could do anything, a pair of wings sprouted from the boards and grabbed us and pulled us inside.
they threw us to the ground violently, before I could get up I felt a heavy body crushing me under it and with me my friends were caught in the same way, I looked up and a pigeon face above me, no it was a full flock of pigeons , just like in my vision
"pigeons!" Marina said.
they grabbed us with their beaks and moved us and then crushed us again, a pigeon with dark plumage got off its axis and approached us
"Kempton here are the three renegades , some kill our friend"
what! kill , but what are they talking about !?
"silence! give me more light!" order the pigeon with the dark plumage
some pigeons moved a sheet that reveals a hole in the wood from which the light of the city came, the light illuminated the area revealing us to the pigeon, he approached us and gave us a look, with his beak he pull Shade's hair from making him moan a bit, then with his wing he hit Marina's head "hey enough!" she said in irritation, then touch me, looked at me and then with your beak he hit my forehead making me moan in pain

"what if the giant bats come back their wings ..."

at those words I went back in my memory remembering the giant bats that kidnapped Chara
"wait! these bats had a sturdy body, long hair and huge wings, with a long muzzle and very pointed teeth"
the pigeon said with shock "yes they are exactly so "I shook myself at those words, are they back? what they want ? What if they're looking for me? all these questions scared me

Brutus walked away slightly from us and said "wasn't breaking the law enough for you bet you and your colony have now graduated to murder" he said, approached his face towards Shade
"murder!" Shade exclaimed "my colony would never murder" Shade roared furiously
"so you admit it was just you and your friends here" answered Brutus
"we didn't do anything" Marina retorts,
the pigeon said "sir, my sentry described them as giant bats unlike these three "Brutus raised his head and roared
" preposterous! the silverwings are obviously killing innocent pigeons as retribution for our burning of Tree Haven "
I at that point said"it not sense, the bats can't kill pigeons "
" no a single bat, but an ambush of an entire colony yes, and it gives a sense to the question, and for this I will make sure that it never happens again "
"this is the stupidest thing I've ever heard" Shade growled
"Shade shut up" Marina exclaims

Marina replied "they are not criminals!"

at that point I snapped and said "ignoble! you are talking about you ,who did the most ignoble thing I have ever seen, set fire to the Silverwing nest for a stupid look at the sun, you fucking bastard! "
everyone looked at me in shock, as if I was crazy for saying what I said
"how dare you say .." the pigeon was about to say, but Brutus stopped him and with a dark look they came to me and said "you, you think you are so brave to come up with the big words, I have not forgotten what you did and believe , you will pay dearly ,disgusting creature "having said that, he left not before telling the captain of the pigeons to guard us and order the capture of the colony
"oh and captain, torture these three prisoners until they reveal the colonies were about" the three of us watched the pigeons approach with fear about what they would do to us

meanwhile in the city, the two giant bats consumed the carcass of a pigeon, when the plumper bat saw the colony and alerted his mate, the latter obsessed with the colony and a malicious idea passed through his mind.
Frisk Pov
we had to escape somehow but the pigeons were watching over us all the time and it didn't help that we were in a pigeon hole
"what do we do Shade?" Marina asked
"get out of here a fast as possible" Shade said, what to do there had to be a way "hey Shade, Frisk" Marina called us and spoke in a low voice, the two of us turned to her to hear what she had to say " pigeons can't see in the dark "she said pointing at the crack" it's true but how can we cover it? "asked Shade, an idea flashed in my mind and a sly smile painted on my face
" Shade I have a softly when they are distracted you fly "he nods.
I took a breath and let out a fake scream of pain
"ah my chest! my chest hurts!" I kept screaming pretending to feel bad
"what's wrong with you?" said the pigeon that was holding me firm
"my chest hurts a lot, aaah! I think I'll die if it doesn't end aaah !"
the pigeon hearing me scream is frightened he did not know what to do to stop me screaming, my plan was working, he let me go thinking that I was not able to escape with my "chest pain", the others turned to look to understand what it was happening, Shade seeing them distracted got up and started pulling to free himself, he succeeded but his wing tore in doing so.
Once he freed, Shade flew to the crack and covered it with that piece of cloth obscuring the area, all the pigeons began to fidget they could not see us but with the night vision we saw very well, I saw that I was free I got up in flight and Marina freed herself by biting the paw of the pigeon that blocked her. we both reached Shade "let's go" "soon " we flew to the exit while some pigeons tried to stop us. we were on the way out when a pigeon grabbed my wing with its beak "let me go!" I yelled pulling the wing to free myself, but to do it for a while it came off, but I didn't care in that moment I just thought about flying away from there.
Shade Pov
we had come out of the pigeons' lair luckily when I saw that Frisk was left behind, I was about to go back when I saw her come out with a wing that was missing a piece "Frisk are you okay?" asked Marina
"yes it's just a scratch I'm fine" she said
"are you two all right?" Frisk asked us
"uh pigeons, I hate them almost as much as i hate those stupid owls!" I said angrily "Shade revenge is not the answer, now we have to find the colony and warn them" Frisk said
"she is right your colony is in danger we must warn them now" Marina concluded, at that moment we heard a loud sound coming from the cathedral that I had seen in the sound map
"Shade the cathedral!"
"I see the tower will be near there" I said, I approached me with Frisk, we were close to it when Marina stopped us and we move away from it, we land on a nearby building, she didn't understand why she did it
"hey what's wrong with you?"
"shiu silence!" she said gesturing to us to get closer, Frisk and I went near and we saw three apostate pigeons on the perches of the cathedral "damn what do we do?" asked Frisk, but Marina looked at us with a smile and said
"follow me" together we flew to the light attached to the cathedral and we stopped there
"if they are afraid of giant bats then we will show them the giant bats" explain Marina, I looked at the light and then I looked at Frisk who smiled understanding what she meant, a smile appeared on mine too, I can't wait to do it
third person pov
Hank was in shock from what had happened to his beloved Debby he went back and forth in fear that the giant bats would return, raised his face frightened at the sight of one of the stone Gargoyles
"what happens to you Hank, you really are a coward. "said a female pigeon
" these statues look like the monsters I saw "he said looking at the statue the female took advantage of it and I touch it with my wing making it jump in fear" ah ah " laughed at the two pigeons
"you can make fun of me if you want, but I know what I saw and I don't feel safe out here" he said shaking
"come on stop this story there are no giant bats!" but just at that moment a hoarse voice said "are you really sure" the three when they heard it were scared "behind you" continued the voice, the three turned and saw two huge shadows "aaah!" yell Hank "now fly, if you care about life!" scream the voice the three in terror ran away flying as far as possible from there.
Frisk Pov
I couldn't help but laugh, those three were frightened by the shadows, Shade and Marina laughed with me amused by that scene "you saw them they believed that ... they really thought that .." Marina said between the laugh "nice move the frightening voice Frisk "I put my hand over my mouth and said " thanks for the compliment, you were great too with the shadows "playing the scary voice, while we were still laughing, we flew to the ledge where the gargoyles were, but at that moment Shade stopped laughing and groaned in pain, his severed wing starting to burn
