Reginald directed the group to an extremely large, courthouse-looking building and even more than that, the stairs on this one were even higher than the last ones, much to their chagrin.

"This is the Courtasium Courthouse," said Reginald.

It was an even longer and more exhaustive upstairs trek. So much so that Rapunzel had to literally carry the other princesses up the stairs with her hair.

"What is with these people and stairs?!" Tiana said, desperately trying to catch her breath with each word.

After the group had finally managed to make it to the top, Reginald brought them inside.

The group awed in disbelief at the cheer massive interior. Sure, they lived in big castles, but nothing like this. The gold and white arched ceilings, floor tiles, and furniture was amazing to them as they followed Reginald through the building.

"This is where we maintain the law and order and in here in Courtasium. Every rule and law is made here and is approved and governed by our ruler," said Reginald before he brought the group to a pair of large doors that read, 'Courtasium High Judge.'

He then opened the doors to reveal yet another pair of stairs even higher than the previous ones which made the exhausted princesses faint.

Miraculously, they once again managed to make their way up and as they did, Reginald stood in front a large judge's booth and introduced them to the High Judge of Courtasium.

The high judge was a large, muscular man with short black hair and sideburns and a goatee.

Flora flew before the honorable judge. "Hello, sir. It is an honor to make your aquaintain-"

Just then, she was cut off by the hard pounding of the judge's gavel.

"ORDER ORDER! Stand up straight! And introduce yourselves by order of the law!" the judge shouted.

With that, the good fairies and the princesses quickly stood straight and one by one, they introduced themselves.

"Flora!"

"Fauna!"

"Merryweather!"

"Snow White!"

"Rapunzel!"

"Ariel!"

"Cinderella!"

"Tiana!"

"Mulan!"

"Pocahontas!"

"Jasmine!"

"Aurora!"

"Belle!"

"Feemer!"

"Nice to meet you, sir!" they all said with a bow.

"Present your IDs!" the judge said.

The group quickly displayed their cards.

"Very good," the judge said to the relief of the group. "Now, to what do I own the pleasure of this visit?"

Flora once again flew up to the judge. "Well, Your Honor, we have come here because we are searching for 11 crystal scepters. We have found one and we have reason to believe that your island may have the next one we are looking for," she said.

"A crystal scepter you say," the judge pondered as he stroked his beard. "Well we here on Courtasium have amassed a large number of treasures over the centuries, but we have never heard of these 'crystal scepters.'

Just then, Ariel walked up to the booth. "Um, Your...Honor, I was just wondering...why do you have so many rules?" she asked.

The judge glared at the red haired princess who did not take a step back. "Here on Courtasium, we value law and order above everything else" he said as he banged his gavel hard on the desk.

Unbeknown, a mysterious figure in a dark robe watched intently.

Just then, Feemer started to glow extremely bright, much to the delight of the group.

The suspicious judge as well as Reginald noticed this.

"What is that? And why is it glowing?" the high judge asked.

"This is Feemer," said Snow White. "When he glows like this, it means-"

The judge cut off Snow White in mid-sentence. "Confiscate it!" he ordered to Reginald.

In obedience, Reginald snatched Feemer out of Jasmine's hand.

"Hey!" Jasmine shouted.

"I say, what are you doing?! Unhand me, this instant!" Feemer sad before Reginald dropped him in a white bag and handed it to two guys who took him away.

"What are you doing?!" asked Tiana.

"Rule #16, Amendment #47, Section #3, Subsection #9 states, 'no strange, glowing objects allowed in Courtasium.' This will be taken to the Confiscation Chamber," said Reginald.

"But he's our friend, you can't do that!" said Ariel.

"Sorry, but those are rules," said the high judge.

"You can't do this!" said Pocahontas.

"Reginald, take it to the chamber," said the high judge.

"But Your Honor," said Flora.

"Feemer is not an 'it,'" said Ariel.

"That will be enough out of you, young lady," said the high judge.

"But Your Honor, we need him!" Ariel continued.

"ENOUGH! You will not question our laws! Is that understood?!" said the high judge.

"But this isn't fair!" said Ariel.

"Our laws are nothing but fair and while you are on this island, you will adhere to them!" the high judge bellowed.

Ariel stood firm, prepared to protest again, but once again, Flora stepped in. "Ariel, calm down. We'll get Feemer. Why don't you go wait in the ship with Merida while I talk to the judge," she said.

Obediently, Ariel turned and walked out while Flora conversed with the judge.

"Your Honor, isn't there some way that you could give Feemer back to us?" Flora asked.

"No! We do not go back on our laws! We must maintain order here in Courtasium and such order is kept within our book," the high judge said before he snapped his fingers to Reginald.

In response, Reginald pulled out a large brown book with golden words that read, "Book of Courtasium." The high judge grabbed it from out of his hand and presented it to the remaining members of the group.

"Within this book is written all the laws on the island. Everyone in Courtasium is required to follow them without question. Failure to do so will result in severe consequences," said the high judge.

"What kind of consequences...um...dear..." Fauna asked.

"...execution..." the high judge said with an ominous tone in his voice.

The group gasped in shock.

"Execution? For breaking even the most trivial of laws?" asked Flora.

"Our laws are not trivial! A person who breaks the law is a person unworthy to live. Only those who abide by the rules truly deserve to exist! We live by this book and this book alone!" said the high judge.

"So much so that one of our laws is that whoever is in possession of the book is the high judge of Courtasium," said Reginald.

With open ears, the mysterious figure listened and upon hearing this news, he left the conversation.

Meanwhile, the two guards took Feemer to a small room and the lower reached of the courthouse. On the door read, 'Confiscation Chamber.' Inside the room was filled with many unique and strange objects that must've been accumulated over the years.

After taking Feemer out of the bag, the guards just dropped him in the room and left.

"Oh, the inhumanity! I bet Merlin never had to suffer this much humiliation," said Feemer.

In the midst of his sulking, Feemer began to glow again. He looked around the room and made a rather shocking discovery.

Back at the ship, Ariel and Merida moped in frustration. To ease herself, Ariel preceded to brush Merida's hair forcefully and fiercely, much to Merida's chagrin. Each stroke Ariel took was harder and harder as she thought more and more about the high judge.

"Oooh! Can you believe that judge!? I have never seen such a boisterous, arrogant, pushy, overbearing man in all my life!" Ariel said.

"Not since your father, anyway. No offense," said Merida.

"None taken," Ariel said before she gave another hard stroke.

Merida winced in pain as Ariel contemplated Merida's words and went to the outside of the ship.

It was true. The high judge in a sort of ways did remind her of her father, King Triton. She looked back to the days when her father banned music from the kingdom after her mother died. Courtasium reminded her of what Atlantica was during that time. As Ariel looked out to the island, Merida joined her.

Seeing that her friend wasn't in the best of moods, she attempted to cheer her up by giving her a tiny punch on the arm.

Although it hurt a little, Ariel smiled as she rubbed her arm before looking out to the island again.

"Merida? Have you ever thought about falling in love?" Ariel asked.

Merida retreated slightly. "Woah! Where did this come from?" she asked.

"Well it's just that me and Belle and Tiana, and the other princesses have husbands. Have you ever thought about having a boyfriend or the day you get married?" Ariel asked.

"No. Well...maybe a little, but..." Merida slightly stammered.

"You do!" Ariel exclaimed.

"No I don't!" Merida protested.

"Yes you do," Ariel said.

"Look, I've better things to think about than a guy. For example, the crystal scepters, remember those?" Merida said.

"No, but still, you need a boyfriend," said Ariel as she poked at Merida.

"I don't need a boyfriend. I'm perfectly happy the way I am," said Merida.

The Scottish princess turned away from Ariel and continued talking about how having a boyfriend would interfere with her responsibilities as a princess. But when she turned around again, she discovered that Ariel had left the ship.

"Hey! Where are you going?" Merida asked.

"I'm going to talk to the judge so he will release Feemer," said Ariel.

"Good luck," said Merida. As Ariel walked off, Merida noticed tea cups circled around a teapot and out of curiosity, decided to take a sip. "Mmmm, jasmine with a hint of lemon."

Ariel made her way to the courthouse when she heard a sound nearby. She turned to see a little girl with an ice cream cone in her hand and saw that she was rather nervous and actually quite scared, so she went over to see what was wrong.

"Hey, what's wrong?" she asked to the shaking little girl.

"I got ice cream on my uniform!" the little girl said.

Ariel looked and saw a small spot of ice cream and just shrugged. "So?" she asked.

"Rule #23 Amendment #67 Section #100 Subsection #44 of the 'Casual Uniform Clause' of Courtasium states, 'No spots, messes, stains, slobber, or any filthy substance on uniforms.' I'm gonna be in big trouble!" said the little girl.

"Trouble? But why?" asked Ariel.

"Well, my mom says that any rule that's broken will result in...execution," said the little girl.

"Execution?! For a small stain?! That's not right!" Ariel said.

The little girl held down her head in shame. "Well, I guess I'll go take my punishment," she sighed.

Ariel stopped her before she could go. "No, I'll take care of it," Ariel said before she took her dress and rubbed off the stain. "There, all better. Now no going to the judge, right?"

"Right, thank you, pretty lady," said the little girl.

"Call me Ariel," Ariel said.

"Thank you, Ariel. I'm Judy. Bye!" the little girl said before she ran off.

Ariel waved to Judy as she ran off and then thought about the things she just said. Would they really execute a little girl just for staining her shirt? Even when her father banned music, he wasn't that cruel.

"Hello," said a soft, whispering voice.

As Ariel felt the breath running down her neck, she turned to see that it came from a white gentlemen with short black hair and a goatee who slightly resembled the judge.

"Oh! Hello. Um...have I seen you somewhere before?" Ariel asked.

"Probably at the big desk...or at least my twin. My name is Robert. You've already met my twin brother, the high judge, or Adam," the man said as he kissed Ariel on the hand. "I take it the rules here are not to your liking."

"Well not really," Ariel answered. "It's just that there are so many and execution? For little things like stains?!"

"I agree with you," said Robert.

"You do?" Ariel said.

"Yes, I don't like these rules either. I've tried a number of times to convince my brother to stop, but he's too stubborn and just doesn't understand," said Robert.

"I know that feeling," said Ariel. "My father was the same way."

Robert preceded to tell her about the Book of Courtasium and how whoever possessed would be the ruler of the island. He then suggested to the mermaid princess that she help him take the book in order to change the laws of Courtasium. At first, she seemed hesitant to do so as she believed it wouldn't be right to just take something that rightfully belongs to someone. But then Robert told her of all the times when people were executed for breaking even the smallest of laws. Of how many people were killed just to maintain the idea of law and order; even children. Ariel was shocked and somewhat disgusted and then she thought about Judy. Sure, she had only just met the girl, but the very thought of an innocent girl like her being killed terrified her. Robert told her that this could be her chance to help him bring some sense to this madness. Ariel thought over the issue some more and in her heart, she felt this was probably wrong, but at the same time, she thought that maybe this could help for a better cause.

"So...will you help me?" Robert asked.

Ariel paused, then looked up to the courthouse with resolve "...yes..." she finally said.

Late in the night, while her friends were asleep, Ariel quietly tiptoed out of the ship and to the town square of the island where Robert was waiting for her. He had given her the details of the plan prior and the two were set to put it in motion.

At the courthouse, a group of Courtasium guards stood guard. Robert told Ariel that they were the nightly guard; it was their job to guard the courthouse all night long. However, Robert had a plan to get rid of them that would enable Ariel to get the book. He advised Ariel to hide while he took care of the first pair of guards.

From out of his pocket, he took out a small, spherical device and threw it across from the area where the guards were. From out of the device came a bright light. The two guards took notice.

"What's that?!" the first guard said.

"Someone is breaking Rule #21, Amendment #3, Section #90, Subsection #73, 'No bright lights between the hours of 11:00pm and 9:00am," said the second guard.

As the two guards ran off, Ariel was ready to go, but Robert stopped her and went further to the courthouse.

Four more guards stood inside. Robert pulled out another device and threw it in the middle of the room which released a purplish-pink smoke that made them all woosy.

"Uh...that's Rule #724, Amendment #1, Section #1, Subsection #16," one of the guards said before he passed out.

'No use of...knock-out gas...' another guard said before he fainted.

Two more guards stood near the entrance to the high judge's quarters. From behind one of the pillars, Robert threw his voice and made it sound like a girl.

"Mmm, mmm, this gum is sure tasty," Robert said in his girly voice.

"Gum?!" on of the guards said.

"That's a violation of Rule #406, Amendment #70, Section #13, Subsection #109, 'no gum chewing in or around the courthouse!' another guards said.

Robert carried his voice further to go outside. The guards followed the voice and ran off.

Those appeared to be the last of the guards. As they ran further out, Robert continued carrying his voice.

"Ariel, now is your chance. Go!" Robert said before he continued distracting the guards.

With that, Ariel rushed into the courthouse as Robert threw her the key to the high judge's quarters and went inside.

Once inside, she looked around until she discovered the book underneath the desk. With the book in her possession, she ran out of the courthouse as fast as she could and met up with Robert near the entrance who was elated when she presented him the book.

"Good work, Ariel," said Robert. "You've truly done something that will change this island for the better."

"I hope you're right," said Ariel.

"Oh I am and believe me, first thing tomorrow, I will order to have your friend, Feemer released," said Robert.

"Oh thank you! That means so much to me and my friends!" Ariel said with joy as she turned from him.

But little did she know that would be her mistake for after she turned her back, Robert had her hard in the back of the head with the book, knocking her out.

"And that meant everything to me," Robert said as he gave a Cheshire cat grin.

Minutes later, as she regained consciousness, Ariel felt like she had been hit with a hammer. But that was the least of her problems when she discovered she was in a metal cage.

"What? Where am I?" Ariel asked herself.

As her eyesight improved, to her surprise, she saw Robert, standing in front of her, outside the cage, grinning a wicked grin.

"Robert? Ariel said.

"Hello my dear. Enjoy your nap," Robert said mockingly.

"What? What's going on?" Ariel asked.

"Oh nothing much, just reveling in the fact that you are the most idiotic and gullible twit on the face of the earth!" Robert exclaimed. "I used you to help me get the book and you fell for it, hook, line, and sinker! And now that I have the book, I will control all of Courtasium!"

"You tricked me," Ariel said.

"You are correct, milady, let's tell her what she's won; an all expense paid stay in the Iron Bar Hotel! And now if you'll excuse me, I'm gonna take a well deserved nap and when I wake up tomorrow, I will officially be the new High Judge of Courtasium!" Robert said.

As Robert walked off, Ariel was wrought with guilt at what she done. She had handed the entire island over to a power-hungry psychopath who was no doubt going to enslave everyone in it. This situation couldn't have been any worse for her and the group. Feemer was gone as well as their hope for finding the next crystal scepter, and now because of her, all of Courtasium was doomed. As the overwhelming fact sunk into her, Ariel sat down and cried for she knew that on this night, she had indeed let everyone down.
