Pocahontas searched the island in pursuit of Samuel. She began her search from atop the rooftops, however, she didn't see any sign of him, so she decided to continue her search from the ground. She was joined by her friends who questioned as to why she would want to find him considering the way he had treated her and them previously. Despite his attitude, Pocahontas believed there was a good side to him and that there was a way to reach out to him.
Although they believed her efforts were somewhat futile, Pocahontas' friends were prepared to stay with her to the end and help her find where Samuel was.
The group searched every corner of the island, but so far, none of them were able to find him.
Suddenly, Pocahontas heard a very familiar voice around the corner of a house. She quietly snuck to the corner and peaked out to see none other than Samuel having his way with a guard who was bullying a man for not paying his taxes.
Samuel taunted the guard as he stomped away at him until the guard grabbed him by his shirt and threw him into the wall. With Samuel down, the guard grabbed his spear and went in for the attack, however, Pocahontas jumped in at the last second and speared Samuel at the last second, knocking him out of the way of the attack.
"You again?!" Samuel said, shoving Pocahontas off of him.
Pocahontas requested that the guard cease his attack on Samuel. Much like the previous guard, this one was at odds end. Realizing the king's affection for her, the guard decided to acquiesce to her request and walked off.
The annoyed Samuel brushed himself off as he glared at Pocahontas. "I didn't need you to bail me out!" he said.
"I don't know what that means, but I was only trying to help," said Pocahontas.
"I don't need help from a barbarian," Samuel snapped.
"I'm not a barbarian, I'm trying to free these people," Pocahontas said.
"What do you want in return?" asked Samuel.
"Nothing," said Pocahontas. "Why would I want anything?"
"Because someone like you does not do decent acts unless there's some kind of reward," said Samuel.
"Are you always this way with people who are different from you?" Pocahontas asked.
Samuel didn't respond, he just turned his back to the Indian princess.
At that moment, Pocahontas once again couldn't help but think of John Smith when she looked at him.
Meanwhile, the other princess, while still tracking down Samuel, now lost track of Pocahontas as well and began searching for her as well.
Merida and Rapunzel, who were part of one search group, looked around the beach for any sign of Samuel or Pocahontas.
"Great, now we've lost Poca," said Rapunzel.
Merida, feeling tired, decided to take a seat in the warm sand. "You know, I don't even know why we are bothering with that jerk, Samuel. What does Honta even see in him?" Merida asked to Rapunzel.
"Probably, her old boyfriend," Rapunzel answered to which she and Merida chuckled.
So the two princesses decided to take a rest before continuing their search. In the meantime, Rapunzel and Merida engaged in another one of their arguments, this time, it was over Merida's nickname for Pocahontas. Rapunzel thought that 'Honta' was a pretty weird nickname, but Merida retaliated by saying that 'Poca' was just as weird. As the debate continued, Rapunzel failed to notice a crab crawling out of the sand towards her bare foot. It wasn't until the crab pinched her on the toe that she finally noticed. Merida laughed hysterically as Rapunzel screamed in pain, wiggling her foot, trying to get the crab off. Eventually, she flicked it off into the air. Merida was so busy laughing that she didn't notice the crab fall into her hair. Rapunzel laughed as Merida tried to get it out.
"Rapunzel! You got the crab in my hair!" Merida shouted.
"Now Merida, don't be so crabby," Rapunzel said teasingly.
"Just get it out!" Merida shouted.
Rapunzel searched through Merida's hair as she flailed around frantically, reaching for it. It was a mighty big chore searching through Merida's mess of hair, but eventually, she was able to feel the hard shell of the crab and began pulling. After pulling and tugging, she finally got the crab out. Rapunzel laughed again as the crab held in its claws some of Merida's hair. Annoyed by Rapunzel's humor at her expense, Merida grabbed a handful of sand and gradually poured it on her head.
Elsewhere, Pocahontas stayed close to Samuel, following him as he leapt across the houses and buildings. More and more, he reminded her of her former love which was a driving force of her staying on his tail.
"Will you please quit following me?!" Samuel said, annoyed.
"Not until you listen to me," Pocahontas said.
"Why don't you worry about your life instead of mine?! Why don't you go steal from someone...on some other island?!" Samuel said.
"I don't steal and neither do my friends. That's what I'm trying to tell you," Pocahontas said.
As the Indian princesses attempted to get through to the young rebel, from a distance, one of Gregory's men observed from a pair of binoculars. He took out an arrow, carefully aimed his bow, took a deep breath, and fired.
Meanwhile, Samuel and Pocahontas were still at odds ends with each other. Samuel questioned as to why she should trust her, but before Pocahontas could answer, the arrow struck him in the arm, causing him to hold it in pain and roll down the side of the roof of the house they were on.
"Samuel!" Pocahontas shouted.
On the ground, Pocahontas gasped in horror as Samuel wriggled in pain, trying to pull the arrow out of his arm, which only hurt worse the more he tugged on it. Pocahontas walked over and observed the arrow, which was embedded pretty deep; and the fact that blood was dripping from his arm didn't help. She leaned in close to try and pull it out, but Samuel pushed her away.
"Keep your hands off me! I don't need your help!" said Samuel, wincing in pain.
"You may not care about me, but I care about you!" Pocahontas said as she grabbed the arrow and started pulling.
Just then, she heard the sound of one of Gregory's men rushing to where they were and immediately, she grabbed Samuel and the two hid behind a barrel, out of his sight. With the guard gone, Pocahontas continued to pull away at the arrow, making sure to pull slowly and carefully.
"Why are you helping me?" Samuel asked.
"You remind me of a friend I know," Pocahontas said as she continued pulling. "He's a lot like you. Strong, adventurous, noble, kinda arrogant, pig-headed, little stuck up..."
"OK, I get it," Samuel said, cutting her off.
"But the thing is he didn't me by the way I looked, he accepted me and we became close friends and eventually, we fell in love," Pocahontas said.
Samuel took a moment to keep his sense of disbelief. Could she possibly be talking about a white man? Falling in love with her? He had never heard of something like that before. At least not since...that time...
Finally, Pocahontas managed to pull out the arrow. To prevent more of the blood from flowing out, she ripped a part of her dress and wrapped it around his arm.
"He even risked his life to save my father," she continued.
With his arm wrapped up, she placed his good arm around her and the two got up.
"I could've taken him if I wanted to," Samuel said.
"I'm sure," Pocahontas said sarcastically. She looked around and found no signs of Gregory's men. "I have to get you to our ship."
And with that, Pocahontas and Samuel headed off, making sure to get to the ship as fast as possible before they could be spotted.
Meanwhile, in her throne room, the mind-controlled Maleficent contacted Ursula from Atlantica.
"Ursula, I need you to come to the Forbidden Mountain at once," she said.
"Oh can't it wait?! I'm doing my tentacle aerobics," Ursula said.
While wearing a sweatband, Ursula was lifting weights with her tentacles in while Flotsom and Jetsom were doing crunches in Triton's palace.
"That's right, my little poopsies, work those gills!" Ursula said.
But Maleficent was firm and demanded that Ursula come to her castle. After she finished contacting her, Ursula noticed something unusual about her. She just didn't seem like herself, I mean, yeah, she was bossy and somewhat impatient, but she when she looked at her face, it seemed like something was up with her.
Next, Maleficent contacted Dr. Facilier from New Orleans Square who was looking at Bon Jovi music videos and upon seeing Maleficent, quickly turned off the TV in embarrassment. She demanded that Facilier also come to the Forbidden Mountain as well.
Elsewhere, Gothel was continuing her shopping escapade. From an extensive library of jewelry, she tried on a set of toe rings which were very much to her liking. She asked the opinions of the Shadow Goblins. Most of them nodded in approval. One of them gave an 'eh' response.
On the next chapter of her shopping adventure, Gothel browsed through a number of fur coats ranging from zebras to tigers, etc. One coat in particular that interested her most was a bright yellow one.
"Oooh, this one is gorgeous," Gothel said as she tugged on the coat.
It seemed like the fur coat was stuck pretty tight as Gothel had a hard time yanking it from where it was hanging from.
Just then, a voice suddenly emerged from the fur coat.
"Let go of my fur coat at once!" the voice shouted.
"Your fur coat?! It's mine!" Gothel shouted back.
Just then, the fur coat turned, revealing none other than Cruella De Vil.
The two femme fatales eyed each other with repulsion, curling their lips upward.
"Oh, it's you...Ms. 'Brothel'" Cruella said.
"The name is 'Gothel!' 'Cru-smella'" Gothel said.
"It is 'Cruella De Vil' to you," Cruella said.
"Well, 'Cruella De Vil To You,' I lied about that coat, it looks like something you picked up off the road," Gothel said.
"Oh! I wouldn't expect you to appreciate the beauty of a fine fur coat such as mine. What, with that unruly skunk on your head," Cruella said.
"Looks who's talking, Ms. Chessboard," Gothel said, pointing to Cruella's hair.
That last comment was all Cruella could stand. The two villainesses balled their fists and prepared for a good old fashioned Disney Villain cat fight. However, once they got to fighting, they just slapped each other on the hand really hard, it was basically a hand slap fight.
Pocahontas managed to bring Samuel to the ship. Once there, he placed him on a nearby bed and used some of the first aid supplies on his arm, wrapping it up with band aids. She also made some tea for him; which she had learned from Aurora.
As she tended to him, there were a hundred and one insults that he had concocted in his mind, but upon taking the time to look at her now that he was in a rather venerable position, there was something about her that just seemed familiar to him. And for the first time since he had met her, Samuel actually cracked a smile. He couldn't explain it or understand it, but just being with her made him feel comfortable, because at that moment, Pocahontas reminded him of someone he knew.
As the Indian princess approached him with the tea, he quickly removed is smile and took it. "Um...thanks..." he said.
"You're welcome," Pocahontas said.
With Samuel apparently taken care of, Pocahontas went to the outside of the ship. She suspected that the attack with arrow must've come from one of King Gregory's men. But why would he do this when she had asked him to let her handle things herself? One thing was for sure, she was gonna find out. She exited the ship and headed towards the castle.
