The waters of the Realm of Alatar were mysterious waters indeed. The waters flowed gently amidst its thousands of islands. However, at the far reaches of the realm, a series of waves ebbed and flowed. And from beneath the waters of the mysterious realm, the silhouette of a large creature could be seen.
It was none other than Ursula's monstrous creation. The beast traveled through the waters of Alatar, its large, wide fangs dripping, its huge snout snorting in its search for the crystal sceptres. It picked up a large scent coming from the northwest direction and could automatically tell that was where most of the sceptres were. And with that, the deadly monster breached its way to the northwest, seeking to find the sceptres and bring them back to its master.
Back at Kettlepot, Ibby, along with the gang, rushed to his home near the city.
Ibby lived in a small, circular house. From the outside, electrical antennas and dishes stuck out like sore thumbs.
"This is your house?" asked Tiana.
"Yep. Isn't it grand?" Ibby said.
"That's one word for it," Merida said.
The gang followed Ibby to the inside of his house which was much less subtle than the outside. Blueprints littered the floor; and all sorts of mechanical devices could be found around the place; from robots, to different kinds of inventions.
"Ibby, did you make all these?" Belle asked.
"Yes. But they're far from perfect," Ibby said before he pointed to one of his inventions.
It looked like a backpack, but had a long, thin, cylindrical funnel attached to it.
"What's that?" asked Snow White.
"That is a portable shower," answered Ibby. "It's so people who are far away from home can take a shower instantly without having to make a trip."
Tiana went over, put on the device, and gave it a try, pushing a tiny red button on the side which made water spout out and rain on her. At first it was rather comfortable with the warm water, but shortly after the water got scalding hot.
"Yeah, it has a tendency to do that," said Ibby as Tiana flailed around in pain.
Cinderella had her eyes on an invention on a table at the far left of the room. "Ibby, what's this?" she asked.
"That is an automated pancake maker. Makes making pancakes much easier," said Ibby.
Intrigued, Cinderella tried out the invention and watched in amazement as the machine took a box of pancake mix and a bottle of water and mixed them together. The machine then added what looked like sugar into the mix before it quickly poured the mix onto a skillet and in no time at all, made a seemingly perfect stack of pancakes. Cinderella tried them, but then cringed her face at the taste.
"These pancakes taste um...salty?" she said.
"Yeah, for some reason, it always puts salt into the mix," said Ibby.
Still recovering from the scalding, Tiana noticed another invention on the table. "I'm afraid to ask, but what is this thing?" she asked reluctantly.
"That is my fast-acting rock-polisher! It quickly cleans any rock or fossil that is placed into it," said Ibby. "I think that one is actually the only perfect one I've made so far."
Snow White was intrigued by this and grabbed Feemer out of Rapunzel's hands and placed him into the machine and pressed the button.
The machine actually seemed to work pretty well as it thoroughly polished the rock-encased wizard. In fact, he actually seemed to enjoy it.
"I have to say this is quite relaxing," said Feemer. "I'm very impressed with your mechanical knowledge."
However, Feemer's impression with Ibby's invention would be short-lived as a giant pick came out of it started picking at him.
Feemer panicked for his life before Snow White rushed in and pushed the button.
"What on earth was that?!" Feemer asked to Ibby.
"That's the Amber Pick," Ibby answered.
"Amber Pick?" Ariel asked.
"It's for picking the rocks for important elements like amber," Ibby said. "But I obviously did not account for magic talking rocks."
So yeah, as good as Ibby's inventions were, they wern't quite perfect. The same case was with all of Kettlepot. The cars had limited gas supplies; the walkways, while convenient, were very slow; even the ships couldn't travel too far in the water without potentionally sinking.
"What about that railcar we rode on? That seemed to have no flaws on it," asked Rapunzel to Ibby.
"Yeah, but the automated toenail clippers on them are not working properly," said Ibby.
The riders gave more than enough complaints about the toenails clippers gving them cuts to their feet. Suffice to say, even with the advanced technology, Kettlepot did have its fair share of problems. But these problems was presumably soon be over for the island as Ibby looked with pride at what he had referred to as the Mecha Orb and placed it on the table.
The gang was rather curious as to what this 'Mecha Orb' was. After taking a book from a nearby shelf, Ibby returned to the table, eager to answer the gang's curious minds as he rapidly turned the pages until coming upon a page that had an illustration of the Orb.
Ibby iformed the gang that the Mecha Orb was a rare device that had the ability to improve the performance of any mechanical device it fused with. Even more so, the device was a combination of technology and magic which mostly surprised the Good Fairies, because if it involved magic, they most likely would've known about it.
This was a great discovery for the young inventor, because with a device like this, he could improve every machine on the island. All he needed to do was figure out a way to make more than one.
Omerian returned to her husband and relayed the important news to him about Ibby discovery of the orb.
"Excellent work, my metallic mistress," Zentar said, stroking her cheek.
This was the moment and the opportunity he had been waiting for. If he could get his hands on the Mecha Orb and replicate it, he would have the most unstoppable robot army in the world. For you see, Zentar was one of the many things created on Kettlepot and all of his creations were from the same material, which meant that they were near perfect, but still had some flaws. During his time on the island years ago, Zentar was told about the Mecha Orb and made it his goal in life to find it and use it to create a perfected robot army. And now it was within his grasp.
Zentar and his wife stood at the balcony overlooking the massive hoard of troops and shared a laugh for their seemingly inevitable victory. Tankana laughed too, but his was much less enthusiastic.
"OK, we need to work on your victory laugh," Zentar said to Tankana before oil spurt out of his butt. "Honey! HONEY! I'M SPURTING AGAIN! GET THE FLIPPIN' SPONGE!"
The gang looked around Ibby's house and observed many more of his creations. Belle was especially impressed.
Ibby meanwhile was tweaking one of his mechanical suits with a wrench. He seemed to have gotten some of the bugs out, but then he was suddenly blasted in the face with smoke.
Belle quietly giggled and the more she looked at him, the more he reminded her of her father; an aspiring inventor who had a lot of potential but occasionally had some slip ups.
"Do you need some help?" Belle asked as she walked over to Ibby.
"Thank you, but I don't think you fully comprehend this kind of technology," Ibby answered.
"Hey, my dad happens to be an inventor," Belle said.
"But that doesn't mean you are," Ibby said.
"Well you're not fully comprehensive yourself from the looks of it," Belle said in retaliation. "But it wouldn't hurt if you could maybe show me some things."
The two shared a smile before Ibby showed her his blueprints. From there, he gave her a plethora of information about Kettlepot's technology and mechanics. He showed the kinds of tools that he used and showed her how to use them.
For the next couple of hours, Belle learned everything, from robotics, to gears, tools, electronics, she even learned how to make an automated back waxer. Ibby even demonstrated it, much to her disgust.
The gang just watched as the two seemed to form a bond between one another. Even though they often argued, they also had a somewhat mutual respect for each other; for their intelligence at least.
Belle also felt the same way as her relationship with Ibby felt very reminiscent of her early relationship with Adam back when he was known as the Beast. She and him had their disagreements at first but as time went by, she saw a different side of him that she never thought existed and the same was with Ibby.
The two looked over some more blueprints, particularly ones that could utilize the use of the Mecha Orb. Belle continued to be impressed by Ibby's genius.
But the Good Fairies eventually pointed out that they had to get going soon and Belle agreed, having lost track of time. But before she could say her goodbyes, the sounds of screams echoed through the windows of Ibby's house.
"What's going on?!" Snow White said.
"I don't know, but let's find out!" Jasmine said.
Ibby and the gang rushed outside to discover lasers and missiles being fired in all directions, destroying buildings, cars, and even the robotic message and therapy building, much to the dismay of the robotic cats and dogs.
"What's happening here?" Ariel asked.
"I have no idea! But I'm gonna put a stop to it!" Ibby exclaimed before he rushed back into his house.
He returned in his robotic suit and advised the gang to stay back while he handled things.
"He can't handle all those things on his own! We've got to help him!" Belle said.
"No way, girl! There are too many of those things! We can't take on those things! Besides, Ibby can take care of it," said Tiana.
"Well we have to try!" Belle exclaimed.
The frightened citizens hid wherever they could. What was once the peaceful sounds of turning gears and traffic was replaced with the loud, unpredictable sounds of explosions and screams.
In large, black, metallic, robotic suits, Zentar and his wife, Omarian terrified the citizens as they rampaged through the streets of the city in search of the Mecha Orb. But they had to search fast for their robotic suits only had a limited energy supply.
However, in the midst of their search, they were confronted by Ibby in his suit whom he immediately recognized.
"Zentar?" Ibby asked.
"Hello, Ignatius, it's been a while, hasn't it?" Zentar said before he struck Ibby."Have you met my lovely wife?"
"Why no I haven't. Pleasure to meet you, Ms.," Ibby said politely.
"Pleasure to meet you as well," Omerian also said politely.
"I must say that is a lovely coat of metal that you're wearing," Ibby said, which made Omerian blush.
Zentar was quick to cut off the introduction. "I know you have the Mecha Orb, hand it over!" he said.
Ibby wasn't sure how Zentar found out about him possessing the orb, but he knew he could not let the wicked robot get his mechanical hands on it.
"It will be a cold day in December before I ever give the orb to you!" Ibby exclaimed.
"We'll just see about that!" Zentar retorted.
And with that exchange, the two engaged in a one-on-one robotic brawl. Ibby started off with a hard series of punches to the face. Zentar retaliated with a few strikes of his own.
During the fight, Zentar figured if Ibby did have the orb, it must've been back at his house and sent his wife to go get it. Before Ibby could stop her, Zentar cut him off and the two continued with Zentar wailing on him and firing a barrage of missiles. Ibby grabbed Zentar and slammed him to the ground, then went for a stomp, but Zentar got out of the way and hit him with an uppercut.
Meanwhile, Belle insisted that she and the gang go and help out Ibby and eventually, they all conceded and agreed. Tiana was reluctant, but she realized nothing was gonna stop Belle from going. The gang prepared to head out, but as they approached the door, the house began to shake. They looked out the window to discover Omerian.
"Out of the way, pitiful humans!" Omerian shouted.
"Who is she?!" Cinderella asked.
"I don't know but she's got a serious attitude problem!" Tiana said.
The gang didn't know why she was here or what she wanted, but whatever it was, it must've been something real important.
"Give me the Mecha Orb!" she exclaimed.
Belle could tell Omerian was bad news, so giving her the orb was not an option. She looked around the house and discovered a round black ball. From this, she got an idea. From out of Ibby's drawer, she pulled out a white scarf and wrapped it around the ball. She then took the real orb.
"I'll head over and give the orb to Ibby," Belle said.
"Me and Merida will take care of Ms. Bucket of Bolts. You go on ahead," said Mulan.
As Belle made her way out of the house, Omerian attempted to go after her, but Merida distracted her.
Mulan and Merida engaged the robotic woman while the rest hid safely in the house. Merida swung away with her sword while Mulan used martial arts; however their attacks were not very effective. All they could do at this point was dodge.
"Sorry, ladies, but it looks like I'll have to put my FOOT down!" Omerian said before she attempted to stomp on the two.
"Man! I wish Mushu was here. He would charbroil this mechanized witch!" Mulan said.
Merida tried using her arrows, but once again, it didn't work. "Nothing is working! She doesn't seem to have any kind of weakness!" Merida said in frustration.
Just then, Omerian, after breaking Merida's bow, grabbed Merida and squeezed her tight.
"Merida!" Mulan shouted.
Omerian proceeded to pound Merida onto the ground hard multiple times. Mulan tried to stop her, but she just swated her away.
Tiana, Snow White, and the other just looked on in horror as their friend were being beaten up.
"Oh my, what will we do?!" Snow White said.
"I don't know what we can do, Snow. That robo-wench is just too much for them," said Tiana.
Holding a weakened Merida in her hand, Omerian laugh as she turned to the beaten up Mulan. "Let this be a lesson to you; your will may be strong, but your flesh is weak, and that is the cold, hard truth," she said before she went for the finishing blow.
But as she did, from out of nowhere, Aurora landed on top of her, blocking her vision and causing her to let go of Merida. Aurora held on for dear life as Omerian violently shook around, trying to get her off of her.
In the house, the others were deeply concerned for Aurora's safety.
"We have to help her!" Jasmine said.
"I know, but how?!" Tiana said.
Suddenly, Pocahontas noticed a rope hung on the wall near the table and she got an idea as she grabbed the rope and headed outside. With Omerian distracted, she tied the rope around her feet a good several times. When Omerian finally got Aurora off of her, Pocahontas tied the rope in place which caused her to fall.
With Omerian temporarily incapacitated, the others joined Pocahontas as she tended to the wounded Merida and Mulan.
Suffice to say, the two were hurt pretty bad, but nothing the Good Fairies couldn't fix.
Flora tended to Merida while Fauna and Merryweather tended to Mulan. Using their magic Flora healed Merida and repaired her bow while Fauna and Merryweather healed Mulan.
Witnessing this, Omerian quickly freed herself from the rope and grabbed the three Good Fairies before heading into the house. Once inside, she got out of her suit and searched the house, immediately finding the 'orb' on the table. Upon holding and feeling it, she realized that the orb was in fact, a fake.
"Where is the orb?!" she said as she angrily turned to the Good Fairies.
"We'll never tell you, you metallic she-devil!" said Merryweather.
Although angered by the fairies' insolence, Omerian realized that having a trio of magical creatures was a good enough consolation prize and returned to her suit. After exiting the house, she was met by the healed Merida and Mulan.
"Stop!" Merida proclaimed.
"Release Flora, Fauna, and Merryweather now!" said Mulan.
"I'd really love to stay and chat, but I've gotta blow," Omerian said before she released a smokescreen and fled.
When the smoke cleared, the gang discovered Omerian and the fairies gone.
"No!" Aurora shouted before she dropped to her knees. "This is all my fault...I couldn't save them!"
"It wasn't your fault," Cinderella said as she went to console Aurora.
"I was right, I'm completely useless!" Aurora said.
Meanwhile, Ibby and Zentar continued their fight in the city with Zentar gaining the upper hand until Ibby caught him with a kick to the gut followed a punch to the midsection. He then tackled him to the ground, but Zentar quickly shoved him off. Zentar got Ibby with few shots to the head and midsection, but Ibby retaliated with a few shots of his own. The two then got into a lock up.
"Give it up, Zentar! You will never get the Mecha Orb!" Ibby said.
Just then, Belle suddenly came in, holding up the Mecha Orb, much to Zentar's delight and Ibby's chagrin.
"Belle, what are you doing?!" Ibby said before Zentar knocked him to the side and grabbed the orb from Belle.
A smile came across Zentar's face as the one thing he had been seaching for so long was now his.
Omerian soon came in with the captive Good Fairies. "My digital darling, I couldn't find the Mecha Orb!" she said.
"It's OK, Honey Gears, I have it and soon, Kettlepot will be ours!" Zentar said with a boastful laugh before he and his wife took off.
What Aurora had done previously, Belle did now herself as she fell to her knees at what she perceived as her failure. It wasn't made any better by Ibby who emerged from his robot suit and eyed her with a look of disappointment. It was at that moment that she doubted herself and began to lose her confidence for it was because of her that now, Zentar had what he needed to take over the island.
