Five.
Alph reinforced his cloaking systems.
Four.
Amber tightened her grip on her sword.
Three.
3 watched the indent grow bigger as Billy's fists smashed the wall.
Two.
Simon released a small prayer, under his breath.
One.
The captain pointed his gun.
The wall burst open and Billy in a hulking Omega suit strutted in.
"Hellooooooo, MVPs!" He chimed, "I see we're doing fine today… All fortified and all."
He gave the whole room a glance. "And you've poised every existent unit to attack me. All to protect one man… You guys are some kind of loyal, you know that? I admire you guys. Not really, I just hear too many villains say that… it's stupid. Why should I respect you? Ew."
"Billy, step down. You can't win this." The captain called.
"Why? Why can't I win? Because you're some sorta 'main character?'" Billy paused to chuckle, "Those aren't exempt from death. YOU. Aren't exempt from death."
"And neither are you." The captain quipped.
Billy smirked.
"You're so cock-sure of yourselves. It's cute. But it's time we got serious. Someone's gonna die today. And it's not gonna be ME. So load your guns, steel your fists, sharpen your swords, it's not gonna help. It'll only contribute to a slower death. But please, do fight back. I do enjoy a good scuffle."
"On three. One."
Billy, seemingly ignoring the countdown, let his chrome arms out and they began to control another pair of bulky suit arms.
"That's better-"
"THREE! GET HIM!"
"What?"
Billy turned and a whole horde of MVPs came at him.
He tossed one out of his way, plowed several more into the wall. He picked them up, slammed them down. Bullets bounced off and swords clanged against his shields.
He caught Amber sneaking towards him and went to pound her into the floor. She dodged and came at him.
"What are you gonna get out of killing my brother, hm?"
"Everything I want!" Billy hissed, before flinging Amber away and continuing beating up the army coming at him.
Alph threw a huge mine and the mine fastened itself to Billy's back. It exploded into a laser-y light show that bypassed all MVPs and knocked Billy to the floor.
Right as he looked up, Billy's face caught a three-star punch.
"Ha-HAH! How'd you like THAT?!" 3 jeered.
"Shield Integrity: 99%"
Billy cackled. "All of that for one percent."
A missile hit the back of Billy's head.
"Shield Integrity: 98%"
"Dammit." He groaned.
Billy kicked everyone away from him and began dropping MVPs again.
30. 30 whole minutes later.
The captain looked around. His legs ached and he felt himself trembling.
Everyone was on the floor. Billy paced the room until he reached the captain.
"Listen, bud. I'm sorry. But you got in my way. You'll have to walk it off in heaven."
Right as he went to crush the captain and end this, a masked figure dashed past and sliced off one of Billy's mech arms.
"WARNING, Lost Contact with Arm #3! Shield Integrity: 77%"
Billy dropped the captain and whirled around, fuming.
"YOU."
Shallows held his Master Sword out in front of him.
"The one and only."
Billy twitched and seethed.
"You're gonna pay for that." He hissed.
"You're gonna pay for all of this. Spoiler alert," Shallows pointed his sword, "it's gonna cost you an arm and a leg."
Billy charged in, wildly.
Shallows dodged a wild fist and grabbed Billy's spare arm.
He went to cut it off, but Billy's shields blocked the swing and Billy tossed Shallows across the room.
"How'd you like that, huh, masked piece of-"
A bullet bounced off of the back of Billy's head. A very small "oops" came from behind him.
"BILLY!" Cleats called, "Your time is UP."
"Aw. Cute. You're ganging up against me?"
The team of four all drew their weapons. Sam, who sat in the background, held a laser sniper and fixated the lens on Billy's neck.
"Yes." Cleats answered.
"Well, you aren't gonna be able to do anything! I'm far too powerful for you to mess anything up." Billy stopped talking trash to think. "Though it would be nice to see you try."
Meanwhile, in the not-far distance, Simon began to crawl toward Shallows' sword.
The team jumped Billy. Cleats successfully wedged a blade into the unshielded part of Billy's arm, but got thrown off before he could cause damage.
Arris and Marco double-teamed him. Arris stood in the back, firing huge laser guns, while Marco actually took swings with her bare fists. She got a nice shot in with her axe, but Billy recovered quickly and tossed Marco into Arris.
Mick's disappearing act let him get in a surprisingly high number of cheap shots. None actually amounted to anything until he jammed a kunai in the unshielded machinery, which shut off the whole shield. Mick was thrown into the pile of unconscious people as well.
Sam stopped firing the gun when Billy's gaze jerked their way. Right before Billy attacked Sam, a voice called from behind.
"You missed one!"
Billy turned to see Simon, trembling to stand but wielding the master sword.
"H...hahaha! What the hell are you gonna do with THAT?"
"I'm gonna shove that trash-talking mouth so far up your ass, you'll taste what you ate earlier." Simon spat.
"Oh! He speaks! Listen, buddy, I don't even think you'll survive anything else! So, if you lay down now, I won't crush your bones and kill you!"
Simon scowled.
"If you don't stand down now, I won't have to do this."
"You act as if you aren't shaking."
"You act as if weakness is the reason I'm shaking."
Billy chuckled.
"What mysterious magical power haven't you shown me then, bucko-"
Simon exhaled. Billy's talking faded out. In the span of three seconds, Simon now stood behind Billy and all of the mechanical arms were on the floor.
"Wh….what?"
Simon toppled to the floor and fainted.
Billy opened the entrance to the mech suit and slowly climbed out.
"How in the… whatever. The MVPs are done for, nobody can stop me now!"
A laser sniper shot landed itself right beside Billy's foot.
"Oooooh my goodness. Kid, give it up. I can just k-"
Billy felt someone jump on his back.
"Stop right there, pal!" Amber demanded.
"Can you guys just stay dead?!"
Amber wrestled Billy to the floor, where she then pinned him down in a headlock.
Alpha carefully entered the room and waltzed toward Billy.
"Well then. It seems you've been subdued."
Billy stopped resisting.
"N-no. T-this can't b-be! You MVPs CAN'T win!" His tone descended into hopeless weeping.
"Billy, you're under arrest for Gamma affiliation, terrorist acts, resisting arrest and escaping containment. You'll be with us for a long time." Alpha announced.
Billy didn't answer. He mindlessly agreed to arrest, as if he knew it were coming. Nobody questioned that.
MVPs slowly began to stand, even though most of them weren't in any shape to walk or even stand.
They slowly surrounded the Rejected.
"Wait… what? But we helped!" Cleats pleaded, realizing he wasn't in any shape to negotiate.
"A criminal is still a criminal." Alpha sighed, "Maybe you should have stayed out of this."
Shallows, seeing how this went down, slid on out before the MVPs saw him, leaving behind his sword to haul his tail out.
Everyone marched out.
1 month of cleaning up later..
Alpha held a celebration, for the MVPs stopping Billy.
"You guys did it. After all of that...you beat him." Alpha congratulated the crew.
"Yeah… even though it felt… bitter. Like we weren't supposed to win…" The captain pondered.
During the chat with Alpha, Simon slowly walked into the cells.
Billy trembled in his cell. He repeated some phrase Simon couldn't understand.
"Get out of here." Marco demanded.
Simon batted an eyebrow.
"What?"
"He's going to do something horrible- get out of here, NOW." Marco repeated.
"I can't just leave. If he's gonna do something horrible, he's gonna have to escape that cell. He can't escape that cell." Simon replied.
"He's done it before. Don't be so sure he won't do it again."
Simon gave Billy a glare. Billy glared back with bloodshot eyes and a menacing smile.
"I'll tell the manager to double security. He's not getting out." Simon mumbled.
"Don't say I didn't warn you." Marco huffed, before going back to staring at the wall.
"Heh," Simon scoffed, "he's not escaping."
Simon slowly ascended the stairs to the main room, ignoring all warnings.
A few minutes passed. Alpha disappeared halfway through the celebration.
Right when Simon began to notice this, the manager of the cells ran in.
"The adversary's gone!" He cried.
"Which one?!" People demanded.
"B-Billy's escaped!"
Everyone flew into a fit of panic, beginning to search the whole facility.
Someone finally sent the message.
"He's in the reactor room!"
Simon made it there nearly last.
Billy held Alpha in a headlock, with a gun pointed at his head.
"Hah… If I can't win… neither can YOU!"
Billy slowly chuckled. "Yes… How about we end this debate… with a bang!"
He pointed the gun at the reactor. Every MVP in the room sprang forward, but they weren't fast enough.
Billy shot the reactor. The laser flew in, hit the power cords, and then things went to hell.
Every ventilation system, every powered object, every wire that led to that room, all of them began to explode. The reactor began to implode. Everything began to explode.
Everyone instantly began to run. Walls caved in, ceilings came down.
Everyone scrambled to the pods. Pods generally held a lot of MVPs in the case of any emergency. This being that emergency.
MVPs piled through the halls. Some were even trampled under the others trying to haul their tails out.
Simon found himself being the first into one pod. His teammates piled in shortly after.
"Count everyone, before you set off, who's missing?" L yelled, over the chaos.
"It's gonna blow and we're going to be caught in it if we don't SCRAM!" 3 yelled back.
"Yes, but the captain's missing… and Alph! Where are they?!" Simon yelled at the both of them.
Mick shoved his way into the same pod.
"Sam, you'll be fine, just breathe… HEY, get us outta here, before this place blows!" He demanded, trying to calm down an injured Sam also.
"We can't leave without Michael!" Amber insisted.
"He's long gone by now!" L cried, reaching to shut the door, "We have to go! NOW."
A loud explosion set off near them. A bunch of MVP bodies flew.
"See?! We can't stay here any longer!" L yelled.
Right as they went to shut the door, Shallows swiftly jumped in, holding Alph as well.
"Come on, fellas, we gotta go!" Shallows demanded.
"Not without Michael, I'm not!" Amber demanded, ready to leave the pod and look.
"You WILL die if you go out there! This place is going DOWN. Set off, NOW." Shallows snapped, to which L obeyed and slammed the door shut. The pod began to shake.
"Michael's probably in another pod, there's hope yet." Simon reassured Amber, as she rocked back and forth.
During their departure, L cut on his comms and began to speak.
"Does anyone copy? Anyone?" He repeated until he finally got an answer.
"Yes. This is the Northwest Wing pod. We made it out and have spoken to the others. How many are in your pod?"
"..." L counted the people. "Eight."
The person on comms didn't stir for a second.
"There aren't even a hundred MVPs left. We have barely over 30."
"What about Alpha, was he in any of the pods?" L asked.
"If he's not in yours…"
Everyone went silent.
"Listen. Drop off everyone at their respective universes immediately." The person demanded. "We'll get back to you once we work out what we're gonna do. You got that?"
"..." L turned to everyone else. "Yes. We're on it." And he ended the transmission.
"There were several thousand people in that building before the explosion." Amber mumbled, "And barely over 30 after."
"Billy won." Mick shot a glare at Simon, "And we warned you. How did you not understand it when we said he was gonna do something?!"
Simon ignored the question as they shot off into space to drop everyone off.

Our friends returned to their respective galaxies.
Amber and Simon were forced to live together, as the MVP bases weren't intact and Amber lived in one. Her mentality took a turn for the worse. Simon was the only thing that stood between her and the end of her life.
3 went back home to try and ignore it. She acted so nice, but something on the inside got in the way. Everything she did, it didn't help that empty feeling inside. And she couldn't help it. And she didn't even notice the stalking pair of eyes on her 24/7.
Alph went home and got several people asking him why he looked so gloomy. Eventually, he cheered up and went back to continue his work… until one fateful day, where he mysteriously disappeared from society. And nobody knows where he went.
Luigi returned home and dropped that stress on the backburner… Because Mario needed assistance and he couldn't leave his bro hanging. After they saved the princess again, Luigi went to sleep. He confronted the captain's family and forced himself to tell them the news: he didn't make it out.
Mick and Sam went back home. Mick started putting together a rescue mission to find where the heck his wife went. He and Sam stopped their search when they found that it was a lot more than they bargained for… and because someone behind the scenes stopped them. A very familiar someone.
Nobody knows where the hell Shallows went. And frankly, nobody wanted to know. Some say he went back to his home… wherever that was.
And there's the end of Season 2. It all ended with a bang.
...can things even be fixed?
They've come so far, but Billy just made it worth nothing. Absolutely NOTHING. What are they gonna do now?
...You'll never know, it seems. Until some time later this year or possibly next year when you see them again for season 3 LESS GOOOOOOO
Anyway, I have the same name on Reddit. I might answer a question or two if asked...
Thank you, kind soul, for reading this. We've come far, you and I. Adios, until season 3!
