Rewriting due to extended leave from writing. Many apologies and thanks.

You can skip the book parts as it is in Bold Italics. Easy no?

Also I gave up on actively writing out Hagrid's accent

DIAGON ALLEY (Shopping)

Once Hagrid had pulled Harry to outside he stood blinking in the sunlight outside Gringotts finally letting go of Harry's shoulder. Upon being released Harry moved as far away from Hagrid that he could without being noticed.

"Might as well get yer uniform," said Hagrid, nodding toward Madam Malkin's Robes for All Occasions.

"Harry, you head to get your uniform while I go get myself a pick-me-up, I hate them Gringotts carts."

He did look a bit pale, however Hagrid had told Harry that he was to take him shopping. Harry felt that Hagrid was not very trustworthy or reliable as he entered Madam Malkin's shop alone, feeling nervous.

Madam Malkin was a smiling witch dressed in mauve.

"Hogwarts, dear?" she said, when Harry started to speak. "Got the lot here - another young man being fitted up just now, in fact."

Madam Malkin led Harry to the back of the shop where a boy with a paleface was on a footstool while another witch pinned up the cloth on the boy into long black robes. Madam Malkin situated Harry on a stool next to the boy slipping cloth over his head, and began to pin it to the right length.

"Hello, first year at Hogwarts, too?" The pale boy Started

"Yes," said Harry replied quietly.

"Well my father is next door buying my books, and mother is up the street getting my trunk." He continued. He had a bored voice that didn't suit him.

"Then I'm going to look at racing brooms. The rule against first years can't bring their own brooms to school is ridiculous, I've been flying for years. I think I'll have father look into getting the rules changed somehow."

Harry was not sure how to respond to the boy. His parents were dead, his aunt and uncle would never do anything for him, and the one that is to be taking him shopping had left him to get his robes himself.

"Have you got your own broom?" the boy asked.

"No, I've never flown either."

"Follow Quidditch at all?"

"No," Harry said again, wondering what on earth Quidditch could be.

"I do - Father says it's a crime if I'm not picked to play for my house, and I must say, I agree. Know what house you'll be in yet?" The boy boasted.

"No," said Harry, out off his depth for not knowing anything about the magical world.

"Well, no one really knows until they get there, I just know that I'll be in Slytherin, all of my family have been.

I can't imagine being in Hufflepuff, I think I'd leave due to embarrassment, wouldn't you?"

"I'm not against any house, I'm sure that they all have their benefits." said Harry quietly.

"I suppose you're correct. I say, look at that man!" He nodded towards the front window where Hagrid was standing grinning at Harry and holding up two large ice creams to show he wouldn't come in.

"That's Hagrid, he works at Hogwarts and today his job is to take me shopping for my school things." Harry was relieved that he knew something.

"Ah, I've heard of him. He's a sort of servant, isn't he?"

"He's the gamekeeper, though depending on how you think of it he could be classified as a servant."

"Yes, exactly. I heard he's a like a savage, he lives in a hut on the school grounds, and every now and then he gets drunk, tries to do magic, and ends up setting fire to his bed. He's not supposed to do magic at all as he was expelled from Hogwarts when he was in school, I don't know how he's still working at Hogwarts!" The boy said.

"He was expelled?" Harry was worried about why this man was chosen to take him shopping when there are rumours about him like this.

"Yes, I don't believe that I ever heard as to why though." He shrugged.

But before Harry could continue, Madam Malkin interrupted. "That's you done, my dear," and Harry, stepped down from the footstool.

"Oh dear, I've forgotten my manners. Merry Met. My name is Draco Malfoy. Well, I'll see you at Hogwarts. Merry Meet, Merry Part and Merry Meet Again." The boy now named Draco said.

"M-merry Met. My name is Harry-"

"Dear the total for your robes is 50G, 1S, and 7K, would you like to have your robes delivered by owl?." Madam Malkin interrupted again.

"Yes Ma'am." Harry replied and counted out the correct amount of coins and paid the witch.

They next stopped to buy parchment and quills.

When they'd gone to get Harry's school books in a shop called Flourish and Blotts, Hagrid of course would not let Harry buy anything not on the school list. He was very harsh to Harry when he kept catching Harry in the history, traditions, laws, and etiquette sections.

"You don't want to go wasting what your parents left you when you'll learn all you ever will need to know at Hogwarts." Hagrid kept repeating this to Harry while pulling Harry away from the shop after they paid for the books.

When they visited the Apothecary, Harry ordered double the amount of the ingredients on the school list when Hagrid was not paying attention. He wanted to be able to do practice studying before going to classes.

Outside the Apothecary, Hagrid checked Harry's list again.

"Just your trunk and wand left to buy"

As they walked into a shop called Enchanted Luggage where they were greeted by the clerk.

"Just the standard Hogwarts trunk." Hagrid grunted to the man.

"Would you like to have the shrinking, expanding, locking, anti-theft, extension, and feather weight charms added to the trunk for 75G and 18K?" The clerk asked.

"N-"

"Yes please!" Harry cut Hagrid off and quickly counted out the correct amount of coins as the clerk went into the back of the shop.

"Harry you're going to be in Griffindor, you don't need those charms."

"I want the charms just in case, you never really know if anything will happen."

"Nothing like that would ever happen in Griffindor!" Hagrid raised his voice at Harry.

"I still want the charms on my trunk." Harry responded meekly.

"I told you not to waste what your parents left you and you're spending the money on something you won't need in Griffindor." Hagrid responded hotly.

For the next few minutes the front of the shop was quiet as Harry was scared of Hagrid. He was too much like his uncle to be comfortable on his presence.

The door opened to reveal the clerk. "I've started working on your trunk, I will have it delivered this evening."

"Thank you." Harry said holding out the coins to the clerk to pay for his trunk.

As soon as the clerk had taken the money from Harry, Hagrid roughly grabbed Harry's shoulder and started leading him out of the shop. Harry quietly followed doing his best to relieve the amount of pain his back was in from the harsh treatment.

Hagrid gruffly said. "Just Ollivander's left now - only place fer wands, Ollivander's, and yeh gotta have the best wand."

Harry said nothing so as to not agitate the man any further.

Hagrid released Harry as they stepped into the shop and a tinkling bell rang from somewhere in the depths of the shop as they stepped inside. Harry felt as though he had entered a warm and friendly chaotic energy, it swirled around him and playfully swirled around what Harry knew to be his own magic. For some reason the intertwined magic prickled the hairs on the back of his neck, someone was coming up from behind him. The very dust and silence in here seemed to tingle with some secret magic.

"Good afternoon," said a soft voice. Hagrid must have jumped because there was a crunching noise from the chair he'd sat on.

Harry turned around to see an old man was standing behind him, his, pale eyes shining like moons through the gloom of the shop.

"Hello," said Harry tentatively.

"Ah yes, Harry Potter. Your mother's eyes, it seems like only yesterday she was in here herself, buying her first wand. Ten and a quarter inches long, swishy, made of willow. Nice wand for charm work." The man trailed of in thought.

He moved closer to Harry, those silvery eyes unblinking.

"Your father however had a mahogany wand. Eleven inches. Pliable. A little more power and excellent for transfiguration. The wand that chooses the wizard, of course." He continued

The man had come so close that their noses were close to toughing. Harry could see himself reflected in those misty eyes. There was a feeling of magic that left Harry feeling open and exposed.

"And that's where..."

The man reached out and touched scar on Harry's forehead with a finger, send a jolt through Harry's body. The scar was now prickling.

"I'm sorry to know that I'd sold the wand that did it," he said softly. "Thirteen-and-a-half inches. Yew. Powerful wand, very powerful, and in the wrong hands the devastation that it brought."

He shook his head and then turned to Hagrid.

"Rubeus! Rubeus Hagrid. Oak, sixteen inches, rather bendy, wasn't it?"

"It was, sir, yes," said Hagrid.

"Good wand, that one. But they snapped it when you got expelled." He said suddenly sounding upset.

"I've still got the pieces, though," Hagrid added brightly.

"But you don't use them?" said Mr. Ollivander sharply.

"Oh, no, sir," said Hagrid quickly. Harry noticed he gripped his pink umbrella very tightly as he spoke.

This just confirmed what the boy, Draco, from the robe shop was saying. Why was this the man chosen to take him shopping for his school supplies.

"Mr. Potter, let me see." He pulled a long tape measure with silver markings out of his pocket. "Which is your wand arm?"

"Well I'm able to use both hands equally." Harry said.

"Interesting. Tell me, do you feel anything?"

"What I feel?"

"Yes Mr. Potter, where is it that you wish to go in the store? Let your magic lead."

The entire time Harry's magic and the magic in the store had been playing. When Harry focused on this feeling he realized that it was trying to lead him to something.

"Go on Mr. Potter, go to what is calling out to you."

Harry went towards where he was being lead to. As he walked past a shelf on of the boxes floated off of the shelf into Harry's hands, Harry lead the shop owner to a table in the back where 2 blocks of wood were floating towards along with 7 feathers, wings/feathers, fangs, and hairs.

He took the box that was in Harry's hands and remarked, "I must say Mr. Potter that you are my most curious customer. Needing 3 wand cores and 8 cores will make for a powerful wand. Now please extend your arms." He then measured from shoulder to finger, then wrist to elbow, shoulder to floor, knee to armpit and round his head. As he measured, he said, "Every Ollivander wand has a core of a powerful magical substance, Mr. Potter. We use unicorn hairs, phoenix tail feathers, and the heartstrings of dragons. No two Ollivander wands are the same, just as no two magical creatures are quite the same."

"Right then, Mr. Potter 12 and 1/4 will be the length. Come." The man lead Harry back to the front of the shop.

"The total for your wand Mr. Potter will be 50G, I will owl you when the wand is finished being constructed."

Harry took out his money pouch and started counting out the correct amount. Handing the money to the man.

"Thank you, sir"

"It's Garrick Ollivander Mr. Potter. Merry Meet, Merry Part and Merry Meet Again Mr. Potter."

"Merry Meet, Merry Part and Merry Meet Again Mr. Potter." Harry repeated back, this was a common parting goodbye in the magical world it seems.

"You don't have to be so formal Harry, Griffindor doesn't follow all of those stuffy rules." Hagrid reminded Harry of his presence

Mr. Ollivander looked at Harry with his pale stare.

Harry swallowed.

"Hurry up Harry. I got lots to do so we need to get you home." Hagrid puffed up proudly for having other things to do. It just made Harry feel like a burden, he did not want to continue being around this man. He was too much.

It was in the late afternoon sun as Harry and Hagrid made their way back down Diagon Alley after leaving Ollivander's. Harry was wondering just what Mr. Ollivander had meant by telling him all of those things.

Harry didn't speak at all as they walked down the road, and sat quietly on the Underground into Paddington station; Harry only paid attention to what was going on when Hagrid patted him on heavily on the shoulder, causing yet more pain and discomfort to Harry.

"You all right, Harry? Yer very quiet," said Hagrid.

Harry was not going to tell Hagrid what was going on as he wasn't particularly fond of the man. "I'm alright, it's just been a long day." He responded quietly which earned him a painful back slap from the man.

"You will be needing to get used to it. You're famous after all, and being in Griffindor like you no doubt will be, will be running amok the castle in no time." Hagrid chortled.

"Don' you worry, Harry. You'll learn fast enough. Everyone starts at the beginning at Hogwarts, you'll be just fine. Just be yerself. Yeh've been singled out, an' that's always hard. But yeh'll have a great time at Hogwarts - I did - still do, 'smatter of fact." He boasted.

"Now come on I don't have much time and I need to see you off to the train home."

Hagrid got Harry on to the train that would take him back to the Dursley's, then handed him an envelope. "Yer ticket fer Hogwarts, " he said. "First o' September - King's Cross - it's all on yer ticket. See yeh soon, Harry."

As the train pulled out of the station Harry pondered on him needing to go back to the Alley to complete his shopping without Hagrid. He needed to learn about this new world he was going to be a part of.
