Gucci Mane LaFlare: I also enjoyed Anne Maria and Dakota rivalry, so I'm glad you did too. I'm glad you're liking Scott too.
AnonBrowser: Thanks for being a consistent viewer and reviewer, Dakota being voted off was never really a shock to everyone, considering how she's an early boot in every AU fanfiction. Hopefully you'll grow to like Anne Maria through this, considering how there is multiple episodes to develop rather than being voted off every episode.
Picochu: Yes, Dakota's elimination was sad, but now to Scott. I had a slight idea that he would try to be somewhat like Heather considering how there is only one season, his strategy would still be unexpected, but he would try to throw challenges when he has the chance.
Challenge Vacation
All rights to Total Drama belong to Fresh TV, and this is fan work by me, a person who doesn't own anything.
It's been three days since Dakota's elimination, and a new challenge wasn't really going to help with a certain somebody. Sam woke up with a big yawn, and he scratched his back, already getting out of bed for the challenge. "Hey buddy, what are you doing?" Mike asked, seemingly very tired.
Sam sighed. "I have never been in the best mood since Dakota left." The gamer said. "I felt like we were really getting along, and then she just left."
Mike thought. "I know, that must be hard. I too would be pretty sad if Zoey was voted-" Brick's military alarm went off, causing Mike to cover his ears.

In the girl's trailer, Jo jumped out of bed. "Well, I'm up thanks to Puddle Pant's alarm." The tomboy complained. "I'm going on my mourning run, see ya!"
"See ya Jo!" Zoey rubbed her eyes tiredly. The indie chick pulled off the covers to her bed, and stepped out. "Good mourning Anne Maria!"
"Yeah yeah, just let me sleep." She grunted, shifting back to bed. Zoey shrugged and dug into her clothing drawer, putting on a pair of clothes, and head outside.

Way outside of where the trailers were, Brick and Jo were having a competitive run. "Struggling to keep up Private Wet Pants?" Jo teased.
Brick breathed heavily. "No, I can go on just as fine." The soldier panted heavily, slightly slowing down in pace.
After a long run, Brick and Jo were getting closer to the cast trailers. Eventually, they had arrived, and Jo had won the mini competition. "Yes! I win again!" The victor jumped up and down in excitement from winning.
"You know Jo." Brick took deep breaths with every breath. "Not everything needs to be a competition."
Jo just shrugged. "I don't care about that." She said. "I'm gonna go to the craft service tent to get breakfast, meet you there."
Brick sat down for a moment, needing a second to catch his breath.

"The taunting that Jo does really annoys me." Brick said. "It's hard to be on good terms with everybody when the person you want to be on good terms with doesn't even want to be on good terms with you!"

Anne Maria opened the door to the girl's trailer, taking a big stretch as she absorbed the mourning sunlight. "Rise and shine ma'am." Brick told his teammate.
"Oh yeah, it's nice out today." Anne Maria commented. "I like having the trailer to myself, it helps me get away from all those weirdos. Too bad we have a challenge today to ruin that good mood of mine."
"I'm not exactly sure what you're talking about." Brick questioned. "I love challenges! They're always pushing me to my limit, and it's fun to guide my team." The friendly army man explained. "I do see how they can be draining to people though, even people like me have a limit."
Anne Maria just huffed. "Alright, you do you."

"I never really get how Brick is in this super good mood all the time, but that's good for him." The jersey girl explained. "I'd love to stay in this confessional all day and share my thoughts on everyone, but I'm sure Lightning's waiting for me in the craft service whateva."

At the craft service tent, Brick and Anne Maria had finally arrived, Lightning ran up to greet the two. Well, at least Anne Maria. "Hey hottie, want some breakfast?" The jock asked.
"Well duh, I'm hungry." She said, taking the plate. "Thanks, I'm glad to have you around here." The two went to sit down at a table, while Brick went to go talk to Chef.
"Mourning Mr. Hatchet." Brick saluted. "May I have some food?"
"Yeah, that's my job and all." Chef grumbled, pouring some slip onto Brick's plate.
Over on the Killer Grip's table, Jo leaned back on her seat, and put her feet on the table while being very relaxed. "Well, I'm in a good mood today." The jockette said. "I won against Brick on my mourning run, again, and we haven't even lost a single challenge yet. Today will be no different."
B was about to say something, but Dawn interrupted him. "We haven't lost a teammate yet is what you mean. We've lost a challenge before."
Zoey looked away awkwardly. "My bad, sorry about that one challenge."
"Hey don't blame yourself for that Zoey, it wasn't exactly your fault." Mike told the girl.
Jo went back to sitting on the bench normally. "Ok, we'll at least you know what I meant." Meanwhile, Sam was just sitting on the bench, looking gloomily at his food.

"Dakota was hot, what can I say?" Sam confessed. "I just wish I could've gotten to know her first, or even say goodbye."

"Hey Sam, is there something wrong?" Dawn asked, catching the gamer off guard.
"Woah!" Sam yelled. "Oh hey, I didn't see you there. How are you doing?"
"I'm doing well thanks, but I'm more concerned about you." Dawn said. "You're aura shows a state of distress, is everything alright?"
"I guess so." Sam shrugged. "I just miss Dakota is all."
"Good morning film stars!" Chris burst in, disturbing everybody who was eating breakfast. "I'm sorry but I have bad news to deliver, we don't have a challenge today." The entire cast cheered at the news, Chris just looked annoyed. "The network has decided to start up an aftermath show, and unfortunately, they're not gonna let me host." Chris complained. "Go ahead and just do something else, today is a day off after all."
"Well, that's some good news huh?" Sam said. "Now I've got more time to think about things."
"Indeed, and I shall help you with that." Dawn insisted. "Come on, let's finish up breakfast and I'll help you with your problem."
/
"This isn't good Chef." Chris monologues. "If they make Cameron host that aftermath show, that must mean they're willing to replace me with somebody else, meaning no paycheck!"
Chef rolled his eyes. "Come on man, you're overreacting to this stuff. They just wanna change something up you know?"
Chris just chuckled. "Right, I know they wanted Blaineley to host this show before me. The only reason they had me in here was because she said no, and had to host the puppy bachelorette, all that."
"Whatever you say dude, I'll just be ramping up the excitement and difficulty of these challenges." The host said. "I'll let you host one again, I'll make those teens eat disgusting food, whatever makes those viewers from the original have enough nostalgia to come back." Chris explained.
Chef Hatchet sighed and just left the recording room. "You got issues Chris, do whatever you want, I'm not gonna stop you."

Back at trailers, it seemed like everybody was having a good time outdoors, but Sam and Dawn were nowhere to be found. One quick check later, and they appeared to be inside the boy's side of the trailer. "Ok, when you feel sad, what's one thing you do to cope?" Dawn asked.
Sam thought for a moment. "Well normally I just bash some zombies in Garden Combat, but I can't really do that here can I?"
"You know, why don't you go ask other people for help? That would work." The aura reader suggested.
"Hey you're right!" Sam said. "I'm sure there's someone who can help me with this." Sam grabbed Dawn by the wrist. "Come on Dawn! We have a quest to fulfill!" Sam ran out of the trailer, dragging Dawn out with him.

Outside the trailers, Dawn and Sam were out on a walk when they came across Lightning. "Hey Lightning, do you ever feel like you don't do well enough in sports?" Sam asked, Lightning dropped the basketball he was shooting for a moment.
"What? Never! Lightning always succeeds in what he does, always! What right do you have to say otherwise?" The jock interrogated.
"Calm down man, it was a harmless question." Sam said with a salty tone.
"Besides, I'm sure you'd know something given your issues with your father." Dawn told the jock.
"Now that's just a plain lie! Lightning gets along great with pops!" Lightning insisted, he stormed off after he was finished.
"Well, it was worth a try." Sam said.

"Maybe I should stop bringing up secrets about others." Dawn questioned. "People tend to get creeped out by me when I do that."

Mike was reading through a book under a tree, seeming to like the silence in the moment. "Hey Mike, what are you reading?" Sam asked out of the blue, making Mike jump for a moment.
"Sam you scared me for a moment there! It doesn't matter though, this is just a book with ideas to help me calm down and feel better about myself." Mike explained.
Sam scratched his head. "That's cool. Say, do you think I could borrow it? I'm kinda in a tight spot right now." The gamer asked.
"Sure man, just make sure you give it back to me." Mike closed the book and handed it to the couch potato.
Sam smiled, looking pleased. "Thanks man, I'll make sure to pay you back later."
Mike just shrugged as Sam ran off. "Well you're welcome I guess?"

In the boy's trailer, it was now night, and Sam was still reading through the book. Flipping from page to page, Sam had finally stopped. "Write about your thoughts?" Sam asked himself. The gamer scratched his chin before getting out of bed. He turned on a lamp very silently, and pulled out a piece of paper from the drawer. "Dear Dakota." He thought as he wrote on a piece of paper. "Hello, it's me, Sam. I just want you to know-" he continued to write, as a montage of clips feathering Sam writing was shown, finally ending with him putting down the pencil and feeling his fingers.

"Well that's it, I feel a little better about myself, all I have to do now is give it to her." Sam said. "I feel like I'm forgetting something though, eh, probably nothing."

Instead of being in some kind of film lot, the scene was located in some kind of studio, showing a big stage with three couches. "Well I have to say Cameron, you did a good job hosting that." Dakota complimented.
"Thank you." Cameron said. "I was upset that I wasn't able to prove myself on Total Drama, but it's actually nice to be hosting this show. Hopefully Chris doesn't freak out about not getting to host."
"Yeah that's true." Dakota said. "Could you imagine having to work for him? On another note though, I'm going to go try and rejoin the show, see you then."
Remaining contestants:
Killer Grips: Jo, Mike, Zoey, B, Dawn, Sam.

Author's Note:
Well this episode was hard to write, and I'll explain why. The original version of this chapter uploaded was an aftermath, but I took it down and replaced it with this. It was hard to write and make ideas because I was unable to make any new plots without interfering with what I've written beforehand. Next break day won't be like that, but this one wasn't so good. Also don't worry, because I've archived the original in another story.
