"this is the main Ballroom." Celestia introduced the large room in castle as I looked at it in amazement. I heard about how it looked from Twilight when she came home from the Gala. "there are several smaller ones around the castle but this one is used for the largest of gatherings."
"like the Gala?" I asked her as she turned her head towards me and smiled and nodded.
"that is correct. The second largest hall was where the wedding for my niece and Twilight's brother occurred. Ever since its now been used in many weddings among the nobles in the hopes that their love will forever be... its even been renamed to the Altar of Love by some ponies." I giggled at her small explanation as we entered the hall to find quite a few pink wedding decorations everywhere. I also felt... strange when I walked into the room...
"it feels... strange in here..." Celestia simply smiled as I walked around the large hall.
"you most likely feel the magic my niece and her newly made husband at the time gave off to save Canterlot."
"i heard something happened but was to busy with mail duties to ask... what happened?" I asked her.
"a creature known as the Changeling had abducted my niece and taken her place..."
"changeling?" I asked confused as I never heard of them before. She gave me a grim nod as I walked over and joined her on the balcony as we looked over the city of Canterlot.
"Changelings are beings with a close relationship with insects. They work with a hive mind mentality. The changeling that replaced my niece was the queen on the hive." she told me as I was confused.
"but why? And how?" I asked.
"they have this uncanny ability of taking the shape of a pony that is well loved and gain power through feeling the love that the pony they are resembling are receiving. At the time of the wedding was when the switch occurred... when I noticed how my niece had changed I simply put it off thinking that the stress of the wedding finally occurring was finally catching up with her... I didn't even listen to my precious student saying that she wasn't her... nopony believed her... that was my worst mistake..." she looked away from me and looked back out over the city as I tried to figure out what she meant by worst mistake... before it popped into my head.
"wasn't your niece Twilight's foal-sitter when she was younger?" she turned to me with a look of surprise and smiled with a nod of her head. "then wouldn't Twilight be the one to know if there was something wrong with her or not? She has known her for the longest time... besides you of course." she looked at me with amazement.
"I'm surprised by your sudden logic... what else have you been hiding from me I wonder?" I gave a small blush as I looked away.
"its... been a while since I had a major crash... usually when I crash into things it makes it harder for me to think and see things through..." she gave me a saddened gaze as I quickly then added something. "but I've grown used to it! Its become like its another part of myself!" she game me a small smile.
"then I am glad... although I would have to call myself selfish for saying that." I looked at her confused. "if you didn't have your crash that broke your wing..." she pulled me next to her with her massive wing as I blushed even worse at the sudden contact. "then I wouldn't of found the one pony I knew I would love for the rest of my life..." she pulled me into a massive kiss as she began to pull me inside... my own body shutting down temporarily until I began to walk with her side by side trying to get the massive blush off of my face.
