"I'm going to I be learning magic?!" I then yelled all excited about the prospect of learning magic as the doctor began to chuckle.
"Certainly…" before he got a serious look on his face. "Because your magic will be a danger even after these next two months are up." That instantly killed my excitement. "Your magic will react to your emotional level a lot these next two months and will only start equalizing with your normal self-afterwards which could take an unknown amount of time. Although it can be determined with monthly checkups which you will need."
"So… I'm still going to be a danger to everypony?" I then asked saddened as he gave me a sympathetic look before nodding.
"I am sorry to say but yes. Granted your magic makes you a lot more volatile these next few months you will need to learn at least the basics and some other exercises to help you control it. It might be some time before you can use it in everyday life." He then explained as I couldn't help but agree with his logic. "Your magic is simply going to be much harder to contain these next 2 months. I'm honestly surprised you haven't caused any magical incidents recently."
"Do I need to stay in the castle?"
"It would be for the best. At least until everything is confirmed and ready for your move in 3 days. Once I leave from here ill be going over all those who I wish to send with you and making sure they will be able to go with you. Now do you have any questions relating to your isolation?"
"Can I ask… about what I will need to learn?" he nodded.
"of course. You will first need to learn the basic magic's that being levitation, minor teleportation, minor shield, and a minor offensive spell. During this you will also be learning some breathing control exercises as well to help your emotional state. Ill be coming out to see you every two weeks for an evaluation to see how you are adjusting as I have been made your primary. Although you will have a couple of doctors and nurses on standby."
"Am I really so important…" I muttered but her heard me despite it being basically whispered.
"Yes… you are." I looked at him in slightly shock as I wasn't expecting to be answered. "You are becoming an alicorn which is royalty on its own, you are the princess's lover, those alone make you one of the most important ponies in all of Equestria. To the princess even more so, and unfortunately…" he trailed off slightly. "It appears I am going to have to get you a therapist to speak with you as well."
"No! I don't need a-" I was quickly interrupted.
"When the princess herself is worried about you I am obliged to agree with everything I have seen and heard… please don't fight this decision Miss Hoove's." I tried to come up with reasons to not need a therapist…
…
…
But I couldn't come up with anything as I very quickly realized he was right.
"By having a therapist, it will help you with your confidence."
He's once again right with that.
"Having one will help you feel much more confident in yourself."
He's right…
"Somepony to always confide in… when you don't think you can confide in the princess of course."
…
"Do you see at least some of my reasoning about this?"
"Yes… I do…" I answered quietly. "I'm just… scared." He gave me a worried look. "There are things I know I forgot that I wanted to forget that I'm afraid of remembering. I'm worried about other things as well." He got a thoughtful look on his face.
"How about this." I turned to look at him. "I can contact a few ponies concerning a couple things going about this. You will see a normal therapist during your stay but when you return you will have the opportunity to have a meeting at any time with just a simple message with another therapist. If possible, I will try to make it, so they are one and the same, so you won't need to worry about adjusting. I will also make sure they will allow you to bring others with you should you desire." I stayed silent as I finally realized I was breathing a bit heavily. Taking a few deep breaths to calm myself down I found the doctor once again looking at me with worry. "Are you alright?"
"Yeah just… a bit overwhelmed…"
"Completely understandable… a lot has happened recently and quite honestly; I feel awful for wanting you to get yourself a therapist… but that's quite what you need right now. Besides the princess of course." I gave a blush at his ending comment as he chuckled. "But you do need this. I cannot say this seriously enough or explain just how fully important this is with words right now. I just hope you can fully understand this."
"Yes… I do."
"Excellent." He stated with a nod. "Now then let's return to our previous discussion as we got off chat for a bit. Going back to our discussion concerning magic-" he was interrupted by a knock at the door. "Yes come in." the door opened up to reveal a guard.
"The princess has sent me to notify you that something has come up during her discussion with princess Luna. She will be gone for longer than expected." He then stated.
"Do we need to continue our meeting at another time?" Doctor Surge then asked.
"She states she will be gone until dinner." Doctor Surge then brought a hoof to his chin as if in thought before answering.
"Very well. Please notify the princess, if possible, to send me a message to meet up tomorrow at some point." The guard left soon after as he turned and looked at me. "Let us discuss a couple more things before I leave shall we." I nodded as I finally wrapped my head around the fact that I needed this to happen… all it would take would be my own motivation to fix my broken life.
