Well, my dear beloved readers! I know it took me such a long time to write another chapter of this fan fiction, but unfortunately there were a lot of bumps and stress in the last months. I'm really sorry but now my muse is back like it had never disappeared. I want to thank all of you for your support, faith and loyalty in me. I'll try my best to post on a more regular basis :)

"That was one of our best parties ever. Thanks, guys," Logan grinned as he sat in the living room with his best friends. It was around 9:30 in the evening as the men lounged with a big bowl of munchies and a good glass of scotch. "We're glad to hear that. We've been thinking for a long time about how to get you alone for an evening. That's when Rory's help came in handy. She was the one who had the idea with the baby party. Who would have ever thought that you would be the first one of us to have a child? You are fortunate to be the father of Cami. I can already see the boys lining up when Cami is older," Finn grinned, raising his glass and toasting Logan.

"Here's to you and fatherhood, Logan..." Colin joined in.

"Thank you, and I don't even want to think about that yet. But thank God Cami thinks all boys are stupid except for her best friend David from daycare," Logan said, paused for a moment, and then laid the small black box on the living room table. "And by the way, I'm going to ask Rory to marry me. However, I've been wondering a lot the last few days if it's too soon. I know she loved Jamie in her way, but I don't want to scare her off. So what would you do in my place Col, Finn?" asked Logan, opening the jewelry box and his grandmother's wedding ring sparkled at them.

Colin and Finn looked at Logan in surprise. "Well, if I were you, I wouldn't worry too much about it. Rory loves you and is crazy about you. I'm sure she's waiting for her happy ending with you," Finn tried to encourage him.

"I agree with Finn; you are written in the stars, Logan. Do you have any plans for the proposal?" Colin agreed and looked at him, waiting.

"I haven't thought about that at all. But, for now, I would like to ask Chris and Lorelai for their permission to marry Rory since I know that Ace has a close relationship with her parents. Especially with her mom," Logan explained, picking up his scotch glass and swirling it thoughtfully back and forth.

In the end, his friends were right, but he still wondered how Rory would react. But he didn't want to waste any more valuable time. In his imagination, he saw two or three children running around here in the living room or playing with their toys while he and Rory lay together on the couch and watched the lively activity of their children. A dreamy smile spread on his lips.

"That's a good idea, mate, and I would have done the same with Lu's parents, but unfortunately, she has no contact with them anymore, which I can understand, of course. But I'm sure you'll find a right moment where you can ask her the questions," Finn nodded, and together, they spent another entertaining evening.

While Logan spent a pleasant evening with his best friends, Rory was with her mother in the living room with a cup of coffee and Pop-Tarts. Cami was already sound asleep next to her on the couch.
The Disney movie night was a highlight for Cami. She wasn't used to watching two of her favorite Disney movies at a stretch with her mom and grandma. Usually, Cami chooses a movie once a week with her mom and dad to watch in the afternoon on the weekends. A marathon with her favorite people was an exciting treat.

Gently, Rory ran a hand through her sleeping daughter's dark curls, and a tender smile appeared on Rory's face. "I still can't quite believe that Cami will be four years old in just a few months," she mused. She heard Lorelai sigh. "But how are you, mom? You look pretty tired," Rory noted.

"Oh, don't worry about me. Dad and I have a lot of appointments in the next few weeks. However, we've been talking for a while about taking an extended vacation and finally spending more time with our parents," Lorelai smiled and looked at her daughter.

A lot has happened in the last six months. Jamie's death was one of the darkest chapters of her daughter's life. Of course, the death of her son-in-law also left its mark on her and Chris. They had welcomed James into their family as a son.

The last days before James died were hard for everyone, especially Rory. Lorelai still admired her daughter for her strength. She didn't know if she could ever be as strong if Chris had been as sick as James. But then Logan re-entered Rory and Cami's lives after Jamie's funeral. He had managed to tear down the protective wall their daughter had built up before her husband's death to show her that life was worth living no matter what adversity life might hold.

"I can understand that Mom, I've been thinking about going on vacation with Logan and Cami for a long time. Logan works so hard and doesn't get much rest," Rory replied with a nervous smile on her face.

"I know that all too well from your father. It's best to talk to Logan about it in a quiet moment. Logan probably doesn't even notice that he's working too much because he doesn't want to disappoint his dad," Lorelai speculated, taking her daughter's hand in hers and squeezing it gently.

"You're probably right about that. It's pretty important to Logan that his dad has a good opinion of him, and you know what I've been thinking about for weeks?"

"No, what, Rory?"

"I'm wondering when Logan finally asks me to marry him. I'm even toying with the idea of asking him myself, mom, or do you think that's ridiculous?" Loralai turned towards Rory with a surprised look on her face. The surprise quickly turned into a sly smile when she realized her daughter was serious. It seemed out of character for Rory, but Lorelai was pleased to see Rory was confident enough to go after what she wanted. And she made up her mind right then and there to help Rory get what she wanted.
