Ash and his friends were continuing their journey. They were closing in on the Valley Wind Works and Marnie had the biggest smile on her face. She was thrilled she was going to be seeing her family again. She had been getting her Pokemon ready to meet everyone for a while.

"So we will be seeing your mum and dad soon?" Asked Hop.

"Yeah! Though in a way you have already seen my mom."

He chuckled knowing the family resemblance was a thing. "I guess I have."

"Will we see your other Pokemon again too?" Ash asked.

"Yeah! I am sure they will be happy to see you also."

"Sounds good. Shame we can't see the "Other one"." Ash said.

"Well, maybe we will be lucky."

Hop seemed confused by what they were talking about. "What other one?"

Ash told him the story about Suicune and about how it helped them. He was in awe of the story and thankfully believed him about it. Still, he got disappointed when he was told they have not seen it in a very long time and we're not sure if it was even in the area anymore.

"Here we are!" she said as she ran up and opened the door. "I'm home!"

Strangely there was no answer. Marnie was confused by this as at this time her mother and sister would be home. Her father would be out at the Valley Windworks working so him not being home was not all that strange

"Hello? Page? Dad? Anyone?"

"Hey! It's us! And Marnie is with us!" Ash yelled.

"I don't think anyone is home right now," Hop said.

"Strange, mom and Page should be home right now."

Ash looked around and ended up in the kitchen. He recalled being beaten by Page when he walked in. He chuckled at the memory and continued to look around. He saw Marnie walk into the living room and Hop was checking the Medical room. He opted to look around elsewhere.

"Hello? Anyone here?" He noticed Marnie and Page's room. Perhaps Page took a nap? He started to knock. "Page? Are you here?"

Marnie walked up. "It's alright Ash, you can walk in." She pushed it open.

The room was split right down the middle with Marnie's stuff on one side and Pages on the other. Marnie's was pretty neat and mostly had books. Page was fairly messy and had all kinds of toys on it. Sadly Page was not present.

"Huh, nice room." He said as he looked around. A book caught his eye. "Wow! Is that a Dungeons and Dragonites book?"

Marnie nodded. "Yeah, I enjoy playing with my friends."

"Wow, it has been a long time. I have not played since I left on my journey."

Marnie smiled. "Well I will take it with us and maybe we can get Hop in."

"Pika Pika! Pikachu!" Pikachu yelled.

They walked over to see a single Pokeball.

"Hey, that's my Drifloon!" Marnie said as she picked it up. "But the other two are missing..."

"Hey, guys! I was able to find the Chansey here." Hop said as he walked in. "I do not speak Chansey but she seems to not know where anyone is... You all find anything?"

"We found my Drifloon," Marnie said as she let it out.

The Pokemon looked around. It was instantly delighted to see Marnie and went up to her. Pikachu ran up to it and started talking to the ghostly balloon. The two conversed for a while before Pikachu went up to Ash and performed a series of Pika's and motions. While Hop and Marnie were confused Ash got it right away.

"I think Pikachu said they are at the Windworks." He said.

"Is that true Drifloon?" Marnie asked, the Baloon nodded at her. "Odd mom would leave the center."

They walked over to where the Chansey was. They saw her helping a Pokemon a trainer left. Marnie seemed to confirm that her mother left for the Windworks. She seemed confused at the news that Page was gone. She must have been busy and did not see her leave.

"I guess mom went to give dad something and Page snuck off while Chaney was busy," Marnie said.

"Well, let's go then," Ash suggested.

The three started to the Valley Windworks. Marnie told them more about life at a Pokemon Center. Ash recalled his times helping at the centers. Hop expressed a desire to see what working in one was like.

It took a bit longer than she was used to. Without her Drifloons to help she had to walk there instead of flying. But the trip was nicer with Ash and Hop to talk to. She was pretty sure if it was just her and her Drifloon she would start overthinking things a bit. She was a bit worried about Page but odds are she was fine. Her other Two Drifloon were pretty good at taking her to the Wind Works.

After walking a bit they made it to the Windworks. To their shock, they saw Team Rocket hiding behind a bush watching the factory. Ash noticed that there seemed to be a few members guarding the front of the Wind Works also. All three ran up to Jessy, James, and Meowth.

"Team Rocket! What are you up to?" Ash demanded to know.

"SHHHHHHHH!" They said as they pulled them in and peeked out.

"Quiet! Do you want them to notice us?" James asked after checking.

"What are you doing?" Ash asked again.

"What did you do to my family?" Marnie asked now panicked.

"We didn't do anything," Jessy said.

"They are that group of Team Rocket pretenders!" Meowth said.

They all peeked out at the guards outside. They looked just like Team Rocket grunts save for the R on them that were now a rainbow color. Ash did recall back when they saw Team Rocket last. They did help them get Pokemon back from similar-looking members.

"My Parents and sister might be in there," Marnie said.

"Then I propose we work together," Jessy said.

Ash narrowed his eyes. "How can I trust you three?"

James spoke up. "As we said before stopping them is our entire assignment. We are not allowed to do anything else. Remember we could have taken the other Pokemon before but we did not."

They had a fair point. It would have been very easy for team rocket to grab a few of the Pokemon this "Fake" group had. Yet they did not, just took the members and left. They did not have much time as a certain blue Pokemon popped out.

"Wobbuffet!" It yelled out.

"Hey? Whos down there?"

"Wobbuffet you moron!" Jessy said to it in anger.

"What do we do now?" Ash asked.

"We really have no choice but to trust them right now," Hop said. "How about me and Jessy stay here and keep them busy. You Marnie, James, and Meowth go in and look for her parent."

"Jessy I think that's the best idea," James said to a rather irritated Jessy.

"Fine! But I take the lead!" Jessy said. Hop agreed to it.

Jessy and Hop jumped out of the bush with Wobbuffet.

"Alright, you found us! Now prepare for trouble, you pretenders!" Jessy said as she pulled out her Pokeball.

"Oh, just the "Weak" team rocket." The grunt said pulling out a Pokeball. "Come on guys, this will be quick."

As the grunts went over to fight them the others ran to the building. They got in quickly and Marnie took the lead. They started down the halls trying to be as quiet as they could. it seems the place was empty at the moment, though they figured they were all being held in another room.

"Marnie, why would they take over this place?" Ash asked,

"I don't know. This is not really anyplace special."

James spoke up. "This place researches ways to improve the Windworks. Some would increase the power output by a lot. Perhaps they are after that to improve operations."

Marnie now looked even more scared. "My father was heading that research."

They picked up their pace as they ran down the halls.

Meanwhile, Jessy and Hop were battling the grunts outside. Seviper and Rookidee were fighting several other Pokemon. Jessy was mostly carrying the fight but Hop found ways to help now and then.

"How many Pokemon do they have? I don't know how long Rookidee can hold out."

"Then stay out of the way!" Jessy responded to him. "Serviper can deal with this on his own."

"No need to be so mean..." Hop said.

"This is serious!" Jessy said.

Just as she finished a Haunter got a cheap shot in and knocked Serviper off his game. Rookidee tried to help but was being knocked away with ease. Serviper was now on the defense as the Pokemon started to overwhelm it.

"No, no! This is not good!" Jessy said. Her only other Pokemon was Wobbuffet and even with its Counter and Mirror Coat, it could not handle this fight.

Hop was starting to panic. His other Pokemon were about as strong as Rookidee and he was being knocked around. He couldn't let it end this fast if they needed to keep them from finding out the rest were inside.

"Rookidee, I know this is hard but I need you to pull through," Hop said.

Rookidee looked forward at the group of Pokemon with a determined look in its eyes. It quickly did a loop and started to charge at the group of Pokemon. By some stroke of luck, they failed to knock it away and he was able to knock a few into each other.

Serviper took advantage of this and swung its tail at the foes. It was now on the offensive again. The Haunter tried again but Jessy was ready for it and commanded it to use Glare. The Haunter was now Paralyzed and the two were able to fight again.

"Well, well. Seems you saved me. Don't get too full of yourself... But thanks." Jessy said.

"Leys just focus on this," Hop responded.

The two returned to fighting the grunts.

Meanwhile inside they had made it to the research and development room. The door was locked up tight but through the window, they saw everyone being held hostage while Marnie's father was typing on a computer. As predicted her mother and Page were in there also. Behind her father was who they guessed was the leader of this operation but they could not see his face.

"We need to save them," Marnie said.

"But how?" Ash asked.

"I have a way to get in," James said as he pulled out a strange device. But you need to be ready to fight.

"You good to go Pikachu?" Ash asked. The rodent gave a nod and a "Pika".

Marnie nodded to Drifloon. "I hope your good for a fight." She said. The balloon Pokemon had a determined look.

James quickly put a key card attached to a small computer into the slot. Meowth started to work on the computer till the door made a sound confirming it was open. Before they could get it open, Marnie's father pulled a USB drive out from the computer and handed it off to what they guessed was the leader. He walked off just as the door was opening.

"Hold it right there!" Ash yelled as they all ran in.

The man turned to look. Ash was shocked to see Cyrus look back at him. He thought he had gone off into a portal to an unknown place. Cyrus seemed to be indifferent to Ash's presence despite them having history.

"Deal with them." He said as he leaped out a window. A Charizard swooped around to fly him off.

The grunts all came forward pulling out the Pokeballs. Ash had Pikachu leap out and shocked them all. Marnie's Drifoon used Ominous Wind wind on them as a follow-up pushing them back. Finally, James let out Carnivine, and after chewing on his head for a moment, used its vines to restrain the grunts.

"I do not see how it is that this group been one-upping Team Rocket," James said.

"Maybe they are just disposable to this new organization. Like it or not the guy in charge got away." Meowth said, a hint of anger in his voice. "But that was the Leader of Team Galactic. Why was he leading this?"

"Sis! Look out!" Page yelled out.

"Marnie! He was not telling them to deal with you all!" Her mother yelled.

All four of them looked to see a Hydreigon glaring at them. It let out a roar and charged a Dragon Pulse at them. They managed to leap out of the way but the attack damaged a section of the research area.

"We need to fight it outside!" Ash yelled.

Marnie nodded. "I agree, dad's research is in here!"

Ash leaped out and commanded Pikachu to attack it. He managed to land a Thunderbolt on it making it turn its rage to them. He ran out having Pikachu turn to shock it now and then keeping it on his trail as he lead it outside. Marnie watched him knowing that she could not help at all right now.

"I can't follow," James said Pulling out a rope. "Carnivine needs to keep its vines up while I restrain them."

Marnie ran up. "I will help! Let's just hurry, that Pokemon looks strong."

"We will help also!" Her father said as he and everyone else ran up.

"I want to help too!" Page said just to be told to stand back by her mother.

"Thank you. Come on!"

Outside Ash got the rather strong dark dragon outside. He saw Jessy and Hop manage to tie up the grunts outside but Serviper looked too tired to fight and Hop was not at a level he could fight this. Ash was on his own with Pikachu, and if needed Muk and Snivy.

"Alright, Pikachu! Let's do this! Electro Ball!"

Pikachu created the electric orb on its tail and launched it forward. While it nailed it spot on it did not seem to hurt it too much. The angry three-headed dragon started using more Dragon Pulses. While Pikachu's speed kept it safe for a bit it soon switched tactics and used Heat Wave. The wider ranged hot winds hit Pikachu hard.

"Pikachu! Hang in there! Get in with a Quick attack and then Iron Tail!"

Pikachu followed the directions and hit it hard on its center head. This seemed to confuse and enrage it as it started unleashing attacks at random. Hop and Jessy took cover as the angry dragon kept attacking. Pikachu dodged a few of the attacks and unleashed a Thunderbolt on it. It stopped attacking and shivered to show it was now paralyzed.

"Alright! I can work with that!" Jessy quickly pulled out some kind of rocket launcher.

Hop blinked. "Where did you get that from?"

Jessy did not respond. She just fired a rocket that burst into a net trapping the angry dragon. It let out a very powerful shock and knocked it out. Ash noticed something around its neck, it was hard to see due to its color. He sent Pikachu who Iron Tailed it off. It woke up and while it looked confused it seemed harmless now.

A little while later Officer Jenny and the rest of her squad made it to the Windworks. The Hydreigon was still a lot calmer and they were able to get it out without incident. Team Rocket had left with the grunts and Meowth snagged the collar when they left also. Marnie was just glad her family was safe. Ash and Hop decided it was a victory for them.

"Mom, dad, sis, I am so glad you three are safe!"

"Marnie, thanks for saving us!" her father said.

"But that was very dangerous. That Hydreigon could have hurt you two." Her mother scolded.

"I have gone against a lot of dangerous Pokemon and I don't think this will be the last time," Ash said.

"Yeah mom, I had Ash with me. Everything turned out just fine! Besides, I am a trainer now remember?" Marnie reminded her.

"I know... I just worry."

"Wow, sis! You were so cool with Drifloon!" Page said. "Ummm sorry I took the other two. I wanted to come help."

"It did not go too well I see. Next time leave it to older people." Marnie scolded. Page pouted a bit.

"I have to agree with your sister that was very dangerous. Please listen to me and stay home next time." Joy told her.

"Dad, are you alright?" She asked.

He sighed. "I will be fine. We lost a lot of research though."

"Hey, Ash!" Hop yelled running up. "Sorry I can't find Team Rocket anywhere. On the bright side, it seems true to their word they just took the grunts and left."

"That's good. It's strange that they seem more like allies. now." Ash said.

"Who might you be?" Joy asked.

"Oh! Mom, this is Hop. He is traveling with us."

"Good to meet you! Wish it was under more pleasant circumstances."

"Can we go home, mom?" Page wined a bit, clearly done with the day.

"Yes, let's go home. I think we all need to get out of here." her mom agreed.

They all left the Windworks for home. Joy explained that her husband left his lunch at home so since no one needed any treatment she left to drop it off. Page was supposed to stay home but when she was late and a trainer wanted to talk to her she took the opportunity to go to the Windworks using two of Marnies Drifloon and hers. Ash guessed they were gone for too long and the trainer left.

"I am so glad to be home!" Page said as she bolted to her room and jumped on her bed.

"I hope there is no more unpleasantness." Her dad said. "Hunny. I need to lay down."

"Go ahead. I think we all need a bit of rest." She looked to Marnie. "Marnie, can you help Chansey?"

"Me too!" Page yelled running back out.

"No Page, I want you to relax. It was an unpleasant experience for everyone."

"I want to help!" Page yelled.

"Guess Ash will be feeding the Pokemon then," Marnie said.

"I don't mind! It will be fun." Ash said catching on.

"What? No, I want to feed them!" Page quickly grabbed the food and ran out.

Ash, Marnie, and Hop all went to work helping Chansey with the Pokemon in the center. Ash was pretty experienced, not to the degree Marnie was but he knew what he was doing. Hop had to get a lot of guidance from Marnie and Chansey but he caught on pretty quick. The rest of the day went pretty smoothly thankfully.

"Hey Ash, Hop? Mind if we stay for a couple of days?" Marnie asked. "I just want to make sure everyone's alright."

"Of course Marnie!" Ash said.

"I would want to make sure my mum and dad were alright also." Hop joined in.

"Thanks you two! Your the best."

Meanwhile, a camp a few hours away had been set up. A couple of girls were currently chatting as they got ready to rest for the night. It had been a long day of traveling and they were pretty spent.

"So the Valley Windworks will be coming up soon." One said.

"Yeah. we will be very close to the next city once we pass through there. But I want to stop and check it out." The other responded.

"I have heard it is pretty neat. I am all for it!"

"Glad to hear!"

She looked up at the sky. "It's late. let's go to Sleep Misty."
