To Become the Strongest
AN: 8/19/2020: I also want to point out that I want Grayfia to have this back story. Also, I don't want to make her part of the Yuki clan, it just doesn't make the story interesting. It sounds tragic, but I wanted it to be. She is going to have monotone emotions and stuff, but I want her to develop emotions on her own. That would build her character where she opens up completely when she is with Naruto. In all honesty, if you can't stand it don't read, I wanted Naruto to learn from Rayleigh and interact with Yoruichi and Levi. Naruto has something to learn from them eventually, I'll work on their interactions. See what I can add, delete, fix, or alter. I promise you that those bunch of other anime characters will really be it besides the girls on the poll. Not all will appear, but a few will. Well, the Naruto girls will always appear regardless.
8/19/2020: I hear about the complaints about the dialogue. I'm trying my best with them, ill go back and take a look at it when they went to snow. However, it was important that Naruto went there. Naruto introduced himself as Senju because everyone on the premises is trustworthy. Also, don't get me started about Naruto's interaction with Hiruzen. yes, he is different from the anime, but come on. Naruto was told stories of Hiruzen and Minato. Naruto idolized both of them, not just Minato. Having Hiruzen as his Jiji would him extremely happy to meet him for the first time. ill go over the dialogue between Naruto and the Samurai. Irina has to he like that, in this story she likes challenges and wants to become strong like her dad. Each girl that was on the poll Naruto is going to have an interaction with. Maybe not all of them but some of them will be making an appearance. Rayleigh will show up more, but Levi and Yoruichi not as much.

Hello, yes, I'm back with another chapter. Probably after this update, I'm going to work on New Phenex Heir and Ninja's Hero Academia. Also, let me talk about the whole harem thing. I've had too many people say they want one, they don't want one. Originally, it was a single pairing, to begin with. In time if everyone enjoys the way the characters are, maybe just maybe I'll allow a second pairing. For right now and until I can say for 100% sure that I can do a harem. It is staying a single pairing; I am trying to make everyone happy. Too many people wanted the harem, but then some people wanted the single. Anyways the pairing is Naruto X Grayfia but Grayfia is going to be part of the Naruto verse. I will, however, make sure there are other girls who will make an appearance in the story. So, don't you all worry about your favorite characters not showing up. Naruto will build relationships with others, so I hope you all keep enjoying the story. I also changed Naruto's chakra reserves to Jonin levels back in chapter 1 or 2. I realized how I messed that up so I fixed it. Also, I want you all to know that Naruto's body can adapt, learn, overcome, and adjust to different jutsus and situations he is in. Also, Naruto is highly intelligent, so I think he could do some of these things at the age of three. Like Jiraiya said, that they would have to start Naruto's training early. Also, Naruto has a high ass IQ for his age. He might not show it, but Naruto is very intelligent.
Last Chapter
"Well, were going to be heading back to Shizune. We're preparing to leave again; I got a notice from the Samurai in the land of Iron." Tsunade scratched the back of her head, "I was going to tell you, but we got caught up in training."
"What is it for Kaa-chan?" Naruto asked curiously.
"Well, the leader of the Samurai Mifune-dono had asked me to come to heal his son. His son Tsukune who was hurt in battle and badly poisoned." Tsunade added, "I agreed to do so since one of his men found us earlier today."
"Really?" Naruto was shocked, "I was here though this morning."
"You were still asleep dear, though I'm sure you'll be fine. We'll continue your studies and training when we get there." Tsunade smiled as they arrived back at their house.
Jiraiya smirked, "I got a contact to meet later today, so I'll meet up with you guys later. I'll stop by the Land of Iron to see how your Fuinjutsu is doing. See ya ja ne!" Jiraiya disappeared via Shushin.
"Woah! Can I learn that! Kaa-chan!" Naruto wanted to be able to move that fast.
Shizune giggled, "Maybe later Naru-chan we need to catch up on the final volume for medical Ninjutsu. You've blown through all nine volumes with one more to go. This one is finally on learning to disable an enemy's ligaments or tendons. So, I think you'll finish this book quickly, but we need to go over more of the body parts as a review." Shizune held up the previous volume of medical ninjutsu as Naruto began to groan.
"Dang, it Nee-chan all that stuff about the organs are boring! I already know how to use poisons and stuff like that. Not to mention pressure points and other things like that. Also, how much pressure to apply to cause internal bleeding damage with your chakra." Naruto began to list off everything he has learned over the course of three years.
"Wow… I thought my memory was good, it seems yours is a lot better." Shizune smiled proudly, "Well it doesn't hurt Naru-chan besides I heard that Mifune-dono has a granddaughter daughter too." Shizune began to giggle as Tsunade shot her a glare. Naruto stood there confused not understanding what Shizune meant by that.
"Now Naru-chan when we get there. Do you remember what I told you?" Tsunade wanted to make sure Naruto knew what he was doing.
"Yeah, you said not to show off my Mokuton skills or anything." Naruto sent a salute to Tsunade as she nodded her head happy with Naruto's response.
"Alright let's go!" Naruto cheered ready to go and continue his training along the way. Tsunade, Shizune, and Tonton followed suit ready to head to the Land of Iron.
This Chapter
Naruto currently found himself with a white cloak on while trucking through the snow. Shizune had Tonton in her cloak as the snow blew in their faces, "Ya know I'm pretty sure I'm good without the snow!" Naruto said as the cold was biting his nose.
"I think we all are, but we shouldn't be that far now." Tsunade could only see white in front of them but in the distance, she saw three mountains called the Three Wolves (三狼, Sanrō).
"I think I see the Three Wolves; we shouldn't be too much longer." Shizune smiled happily as Naruto began to pick up the pace to get there quicker.
"Come on I want to get out of the cold!" Naruto began to jog as Shizune and Tsunade decided to pick up the pace.
The group were about a hundred yards before entering. However, the group were stopped by two Samurai and an old man who was leading them. The old man had long, grey hair, which almost reaches down to his waist, with bandages wrapped around his head. He has black eyes with distinct wrinkles underneath them, a grey goatee and mustache. He was wearing samurai armor, much more traditional in appearance when compared to the ones worn by his subordinates: it's composed of a breastplate, with four plates protecting his legs attached to it, identical shoulder pads, and matching arm and leg guards. He also wears a belt, to which is attached a pouch and his sword: Kurosawa sitting on his waist.
"Ah, Mifune-dono it's a pleasure to meet you. I'm assuming the arrangement of this meeting was taken care of?" Tsunade asked as Mifune nodded his head.
"They were done Tsunade-sama, but may I be so bold as to ask why? You wanted to have a separate area blocked off? Also, you only wanted a few people who I trust in this area?" Mifune asked as he began to stroke his goatee.
Tsunade smiled, "Well Mifune-dono I have someone I'd like for you to meet. Naru-chan it's okay." Tsunade turned behind her where Naruto stood behind her hiding behind her cloak.
Naruto was a little nervous meeting other people. Granted he met other people every day in villages, this was someone that his mother knew. Naruto stuck his head out as Mifune's eyes widen along with his two most trusted samurai, "H-Hello there Mifune-dono I'm Senju Naruto, it's a pleasure to meet you."
"Tsunade-sama had a child!" Went through the minds of Mifune and his two personal Samurai, "I-I can see why you wanted this Tsunade-sama. I can see why you wanted to keep this meeting between us a secret. I'm sure my men will stay silent about this too?" Mifune looked at his men as they both nodded shakily. They knew to never mess with a mother and her child. Especially if that mother is Tsunade-Senju, "I assure you that everyone on the premises is only the most highly trusted people and my family."
"Well how about getting to your son then. I'd like to keep moving so Naru-chan stays safe." Tsunade wanted to get in and out quickly so she can continue training Naruto.
"Kaa-chan can I help, or should I just go train?" Naruto wondered when he would get a chance to look at a patient himself.
"Not this time Naru-chan why don't you see if there is a are where you can train." Tsunade smiled as she ruffled his hair, "Shizune, I'll need you with me on this."
The group were escorted inside the separate training grounds for Mifune and his family. Naruto found himself in a greenhouse-like area. Plenty of plants, trees, and room for training, Naruto had a lot to continue working on. He was still level 1 in Fuinjutsu, so he had a lot to work on. Shizune and Tsunade wanted him to learn to use Senbons a bit more. Since he could use Shuriken and kunai easily thanks to Jiraiya's guidance.
Naruto found himself being watched by a Samurai who didn't have a helmet and was wearing an unusual outfit. Guess he was just there to make sure he didn't do anything stupid or to disrupt the others. Naruto turned back to himself and began to work on Fuinjutsu. This went on for about an hour until he decided to take a break, "Mou this is boring." Naruto put his Fuinjutsu set away and pulled out the Medical books Shizune has been having him read.
That was interrupted until he looked over to the side. Naruto saw two Samurai wearing different colored outfits and wooden katanas. Naruto began to watch them as they clashed their wooden swords together which earned the interest of Naruto. Naruto watched as they sparred and fought one another with the swords.
Then the original Samurai who was watching Naruto spoke up, "Yoruichi-san, Levi-san it seems you both have an audience."
The two stopped their spar and looked over to see Naruto watching them from a distance. Yoruichi smiled, "Hey kid, you want to come over here and watch?"
Naruto was a little reluctant to introduce himself. His mother told him not to bother others. However, this was dropped as the old man said, "You don't need to worry young one, Mifune-dono told me you were arriving with your mother." Rayleigh knew who the kid was. Word travels fast, especially when he heard Tsunade introduce herself along with Naruto.
Naruto was a little nervous, but his curiosity was too strong to ignore. Naruto began to run over as he stood next to the samurai who was watching him. Naruto gave a slight bow, "I'm Senju Naruto it's a pleasure to meet you."
"Senju? You mean… Senju, Senju?" Yoruichi said shocked with her eyes wide.
"Yes, his mother seems to be Tsunade-sama." The old man smirked as he looked at Naruto, "The name is Silver Rayleigh. A pleasure to meet ya kid." The now named Rayleigh extended his hand out. Rayleigh is an elderly man of relatively tall height with a very strong and defined build. Two of his most distinguishing traits are his round glasses and facial hair, which is arranged embattled across his lower jaw. He also has a scar over his right eye. Upon further inspection not only was he wearing samurai armor, but it was thinner than other samurai armor. He also seemed to have a large silver hooded cloak, though the hood is down.
Naruto shook it as he felt a bit more comfortable talking to them, "Yeah likewise, but I'm curious what do you Samurai learn exactly? I might be training to become a Shinobi, but what do you guys do that is different from us?"
They chuckled as Yoruichi spoke first, "Before I explain the name is Shihoin Yoruichi, my sparring partner is Levi Ackerman." The now named Yoruichi is a slender and well-endowed woman of average height. She has dark skin, golden irises, and black hair. Her hair is waist-length and kept in a ponytail with chin-length bangs framing the sides of her face. Her attire consists of a black, backless, sleeveless undershirt, a dark blue over-shirt with two white straps on each shoulder, a large beige sash around her waist, and black stretch pants with a pair of lightweight brown shoes.
"My name is Akerman Levi, it's a pleasure to meet you as well." Levi gave Naruto a slight bow. Levi has short, straight black hair styled in an undercut curtain, as well as narrow, intimidating dull gray eyes with dark circles under them and a deceptively youthful face. He is quite short, but his physique is well-developed in musculature from extensive training with weighted clothing.
"Well, now that we're all acquainted Yoruichi-san do you think you can give Naruto a gist of what Samurai do?" Rayleigh gestured his hand towards Yoruichi.
"Are we sure that's a good idea Rayleigh-Sensei? I mean we just met the boy." Levi looked at Rayleigh as he stroke his beard.
"I don't see an issue, I mean he is just observing?" Rayleigh could see that Naruto was interested in their sword style.
Yoruichi smirked, "Alright listen, close kid, Samurai is a military power like shinobi, though not nearly as widespread. Samurai and shinobi are noted to have first diverged in how they received the teachings of ninshu: samurai were more spiritual and idealistic, while shinobi focused on using their chakra to keep people's bonds alive. All samurai are practiced sword users, into which they channel their chakra. This allows them to extend the reach of their swords, alter the shape to appear as other weapons, and launch the chakra across distances as crescents of energy. Samurai are typically taught Iaido, to increase the speed at which they draw and sheath their swords, allowing them to attack before opposing shinobi can perform the hand seals required to use ninjutsu." Yoruichi finished as Levi and Rayleigh rolled their eyes for the long introduction.
Naruto however was on his toes, "That's so cool! You know I might even try picking up a sword!" Naruto was already down for learning something new. This was cool! He is the only Shinobi in the leaf who could use the Samurai fighting style!
Rayleigh chuckled, "I like this kid! Though I must ask do you know anything about using a sword?"
"No, Kaa-chan, Nee-chan, and Ero-Sennin don't know anything about using swords. I won't be able to go to Konoha until I'm twelve."
Rayleigh smiled, "How long are you going to be here kid?" Rayleigh wondered if he could teach Naruto some of the basics and he could possibly learn their sword style.
"Rayleigh-Sensei are you sure about taking on another student?" Yoruichi asked surprised as Rayleigh never willingly taught somone. Unless he saw immense potential or it was the boy's desire to get stronger.
Rayleigh took his sword out, "Naruto, our sword technique is Iaido but not alone though. For Yoruichi and Levi, I taught them a mixture of it along with my own sword style. I call it King's Blade, it's a combination of the quick slashing and sheathing of the user's sword and using compressed air to slice and cut your enemies." Rayleigh smirked, "The second part to create compressed air blades, you need a strong wind affinity and good chakra control."
Naruto smirked, "I have great chakra control! I can already tree and water walk!" Naruto smirked, "Though I don't know any wind jutsu, my Kaa-chan or Nee-chan don't know or have the affinity for it."
"You can already use nature chakra?" Levi said shocked, "Usually only Chunin can start using nature chakra to an extent!"
"Well, my Kaa-chan said that my chakra control is to such a great extent. That I can perform B-A class ninjutsu with ease because I can regulate how much chakra is needed." Naruto smirked proudly as he remembers his mother learning why he could use such advanced ninjutsu.
"Wow, you must be something else if you can do that." Yoruichi smirked, "Hey Rayleigh-Sensei what do you think?"
"I think the kid got the skill, the drive, and the heart! Ha! Having a shinobi as a student wouldn't be so bad!" Rayleigh smiled rubbing his goatee, "Alright! Why not! I guess fitting you up with a sword is important."
"Wait, we're not having him learn to create chakra blades like we do?" Levi asked curiously.
"He is a Shinobi; we have chakra metal where he can learn to infuse his chakra into the blade. Besides he will need that chakra to use ninjutsu at the same time." Rayleigh placed a hand on Naruto's head ruffling his hair, "He also reminds me of myself, I didn't like using my chakra to form a blade anyways."
"Woah really! You will teach me!" Naruto had stars in his eyes ready to learn more butt-kicking moves.
Soon a person came walking into the training grounds, "Hey Rayleigh-Sensei I'm here for the training… uhhh who is this?" A voice spoke up from the side as Naruto turned his head.
Naruto turned his head to see a girl that was about his age. The girl has violet eyes and long chestnut hair that is tied into twin tails, each held with a blue scrunchy. She was wearing a dark green outfit that had a collar that went up mid-neck. The outfit that looked like armor without sleeves. She had armor like glove gauntlets that covered her up hands and went up to just past her elbows. The outfit came down to her hips in a skirt like fashion with armor plates. She also had dark green shorts that came down to just above her knees. Armor boots that came up to her mid-shin. (A/N: Search up Irina Shidou in google images. Also please keep in mind that Irina is eight. The outfit Irina is wearing is similar to the drawing by gracer23 on DeviantArt.)
Naruto rubbed the back of his head as he waved, "The name is Senju Naruto it's a pleasure to meet you." Naruto smiled back at the girl.
The girl stared at him confused but then smiled, "Oh! Senju? Is your Kaa-san Tsunade Senju?"
"Y-yeah she is my Kaa-chan we came here when your Ojii-san said your Tou-san was hurt and poisoned," Naruto asked with worry as the girl nodded her head.
"Yes, my Tou-san is hurt, but I'm sure he'll make it through!" The girl smiled at Naruto as Naruto realized how bright her smile was.
"Irina-chan you forgetting something." Rayleigh let a sigh out as he knew Irina's tendencies.
"Oh! I'm Irina Shidou! It's a pleasure to meet you!" Irina gave a slight bow.
"Are you here to train with Rayleigh?" Naruto asked curiously.
"Yeah, I've done some basic training. Though, I haven't started to learn his style just yet. Though I can't wait to learn his technique!" Irina smirked proudly, "Just like my Tou-san I'm going to be a strong Samurai! Then I'm going to be the strongest and first Samurai leader of a village. Though I need to join their ranks and learn some basic ninjutsu." She put her finger on her mouth wondering how that would go and what village she should go to.
"Oh? You're going to join a village? My Kaa-chan said that I'd join Konoha once I'm twelve, but I'm going to be Hokage! You can't be the village leader since I'm going to be its leader one day!" Naruto smirked proudly as he pointed his thumb at himself.
"Oh, is that really? Well, I don't think so! Maybe I should go to Konoha and become the Hokage then! The first female and Samurai Hokage!" Irina smirked jokingly as she stuck her tongue out the side of her mouth.
Naruto couldn't help but feel agitated, "Tch like I said, I'M going to become Hokage!"
"We'll see about that!" Irina's mood changed as invisible lighting began to clash between the two.
Yoruichi began to giggle, "Ooooo this is too good to be true! Both with the same goals! Both are training to become strong! The way they are arguing is like two married couple! Definitely going to have to tease Irina-chan about this later!"
"That's enough both of you!" Rayleigh clapped his hands together as Irina quickly stood up and bowed to Rayleigh. Naruto followed suit after he saw her do so, "We'll begin training after we get Naruto here a sword. Irina, you can begin your daily swings like you usually do."
"Yes, Rayleigh-Sensei!" Irina walked over to Levi and Yoruichi and began to train.
"Naruto follow me, I'll take you to our bladesmith and get a custom blade to your fitting." Rayleigh smirked as Naruto began to cheer happily, "So has Tsunade began teaching you medical ninjutsu?"
Naruto stopped his cheering to answer, "Oh, yeah I know the mystic palm jutsu to an extent. I can heal most deep gashes, cuts, bruises, and broken fingers. Though I cannot do the level of my Kaa-chan or Nee-chan. I can somewhat use my Kaa-chan's super strength!" Naruto boasted as Rayleigh couldn't help but see the second coming of a male version of Tsunade. Though it made him wonder what type of monster of a shinobi once he mastered his teachings.
"I see, that's very good Naruto. I can already see you formed a rivalry between you and Irina. That is good, use that to get stronger. Try to best the other and train hard." Rayleigh smirked, "I wonder… can I teach that to him?... I guess it depends if his will, his chakra control, and heart is strong enough to handle it."
Soon the two came walking into the bladesmith shop, "Ahhh Rayleigh-sama! What do I owe of pleasure of the Dark King visiting my humble smith shop?"
"Well Welf, I got a new student of mine! His name is Naruto, I want to get him a Katana. Though the metal should be a chakra metal." Rayleigh placed a hand on top of Naruto's head. (A/N: This is Welf Crozzo from DanMachi).
"Ahh, I see well this should be interesting! Well, I get you what you need." Welf was is a tall adult male who has short, spiky red hair and dark blue eyes. He had a t-shirt, apron, and gloves on appropriate for a smith. Welf walked over and took an imprint of Naruto's hand with some molding clay, "I see, well when you get older your hand will naturally grow into the handle." Welf began to gather the materials and create Naruto's blade.
Naruto and Rayleigh make their way back to Yoruichi, Levi, and Irina who were instructing Irina in her swings. Rayleigh called out, "You two can oversee Irina-chan here, I'll get Naruto going here."
When Naruto and Rayleigh got to their own spot Naruto got into a squat ready to go, "So what are you going to teach me!? Am I'm going to be able to cut trees in half? Cut through walls and make a door! Oooo! Can will I be able to quickly unsheathe and sheath my sword quickly while cutting up my enemies!" Naruto was ecstatic to pick up a new weapon, especially a sword.
"Well to begin with you'll have to learn to fight like the Dark King. Dark Fist, a series of quick and powerful punches. Though you can adjust it to hit pressure points and use your mother's strength to your advantage. For you, we need to work on your speed and precision." Rayleigh smiled as he walked over to a log they had set up, "Alright come at me and show me your strength for right now."
Naruto smirked as he got ready to show Rayleigh what he had. Granted Naruto was only eight years old, but he still showed a lot of promise. Naruto began to throw rights, faints, and kicks that impressed Rayleigh. Rayleigh caught his kick in midair, but surprisingly Naruto did a backward flip bringing his other foot up to kick Rayleigh in the face. This forced him to let go of giving Naruto room to adjust. Rayleigh noticed something as Naruto continued attacking him.
Naruto ran forward again ready to kick him in his left temple. Rayleigh went to block but in the middle of Naruto's attack. Naruto used the momentum of his foot to purposely miss Rayleigh's hand. This allowed Naruto to spin counterclockwise and bring his left heel on top of Rayleigh's head. There was a cloud *CLACK* As Naruto's heel met Rayleigh's right hand stopping his foot. Naruto quickly jumped down and got some space. Rayleigh chuckled, "Ahahah this is good! This is great! I've never met a kid like you that shows so much promise!"
Naruto looked at him confused, "What do you mean Rayleigh-Sensei?"
"When you're fighting you learn to adapt and learn your opponents moves. You begin to find ways to counter or try to slip past their guard. You do something to try to change your fighting style ever so slightly to catch your enemy off guard! When you do, you pack a hugged punch, or kick!" Rayleigh ran his hand through his air and took a deep breath, "You kid are something special, being able to adjust, adapt, change, or counter enemies while in the midst of fighting is hard. Not many can do that… I wonder if your chakra is potent enough." Rayleigh smirked wondering if Naruto could pick his signature attack. His attack that gave him the title 'Dark King'.
"Chakra is potent enough?" Naruto asked confused.
"Don't worry about it, for not let's get some swordsmen lessons in," Rayleigh smirked as he handed Naruto a wooden katana to begin practicing his swings.
Time Skip Couple Days (Wednesday)
"HIIYAAH!" Naruto did a midair forward barrel roll as he swung his wooden katana. Levi blocked Naruto's attack; he went to kick Naruto away. Naruto quickly twirled his body to the right dodging Levi's attack. Naruto brought his left hand to punch Levi, and Levi dodged and brought his sword forward. Naruto did so to block his attack causing them to clash.
"Alright, that's enough!" Rayleigh called out as Naruto fell on his knees out of breath after sparring with Levi for a little more than an hour and a half. Levi could not help but feel a bit out of breath.
"Not bad Naruto-san you're getting better your learning faster than I thought." Levi nodded his head at Naruto. Levi respected Naruto a lot since Naruto drove himself into the ground these past two days. Naruto knew they would only be there for a week or so, getting as much training in would be helpful. Naruto excelled in kenjutsu which shocked Levi and Yoruichi. Within one day Naruto was able to get force Yoruichi and Levi to start trying to block Naruto's attack. Naruto could switch between hand to hand and sword with ease. Naruto was unpredictable, was hard to figure out and counter in a fight. He even threw his sword at Yoruichi one time in a fight surprising everyone.
Tsunade was a little nervous hearing that Naruto met a few new people. Though she was reluctant to let him make some friends. Granted a couple of them were older than him by a few years and one about his age. When she learned that Silver Rayleigh took an interest in him was surprising. The Dark King took an interest in her son? Well, she could not say no, Naruto needs to be strong as he can. If Rayleigh was known for his great chakra control since Hashirama ever drew breath, "To think he picks up Kenjutsu this quickly is shocking." Mifune walked up to the doorway where Tsunade was leaning up against.
"That Naruto always wanting to get stronger and learn new things. His curiosity for learning new things is healthy but sometimes he can overdo it." Tsunade smiled as she watched her son train to get stronger. He still has a lot to learn especially what he has in him and who his father is.
"If I may be so bold Tsunade-sama, who is the father of young Naruto-kun?" Mifune asked wondering is Tsunade would answer. Tsunade stayed silent as Mifune could see Tsunade's hands tighten around her biceps angrily, "It's fine you do not have to answer me, though you should be careful once he gets back to the Leaf. He looks awfully like the Yellow Flash doe he not?" Mifune asked as he turned to leave, he turned his head as Tsunade stayed leaning against the wall not saying anything. "I see, I'm not one to judge. I still say congratulations on a child Tsunade-sama Minato-kun was a wise choice and the young boy will be powerful one day." Mifune walked away leaving an annoyed Tsunade knowing he figured it out so easily. Tsunade had to admit it though, Naruto was a carbon copy of Minato. Though the only difference is his skin is a bit paler and his hair shade is more her color than Minato's.
With Naruto
"Hey blonde!" Irina came walking out with a chirpy look on her face. She smirked, "Come on fight me! I want to see who is stronger, just because you got Levi-Nii and Yoruichi-Nee to try doesn't mean your that great!"
Naruto chuckled, "Yeah, I'm all for it!"
"Alright, you two take it easy. I'll ref the match." Rayleigh nodded his head as Irina and Naruto stood on opposite sides of one another. Irina had a slight advantage since she has been training with a sword for a year before Naruto. Naruto just picked up the sword, but his training with Tsunade and Jiraiya helped out so the fight would be interesting, "Alright! Hajime!" Rayleigh shouted as Irina ran forward attacking Naruto first.
Irina displayed her skill and technique she has been honing over the year. Naruto had to dodge her attacks and learn how she fought. Naruto saw that Irina was quick, fast, and made sure to give no opening to her enemy. Naruto quickly gained distance by pushing off with his feet backward. However, this allowed Irina the time to attack him in midair.
However, once this happened a smirk appeared on Naruto's face which Irina saw. Naruto quickly learned backward sticking his feet to the ground with chakra. Irina swung her sword from the right to the left. Naruto ducked under her attack; Naruto brought himself back up hitting his forehead into Irina's stunning her. Naruto quickly swung his leg to sweep Irina off her feet. Before Irina knew it, she was on the ground with Naruto's sword at her throat. Irina puffed her cheeks out cutely and angrily, "Mou! How the heck did you get so strong! I've been training with a sword for a year no!"
Naruto chuckled as he sheathed his sword and extended his hand out, "It's okay Irina-chan, I was trained by my Kaa-chan and Ero-Sennin, so I like to think I'm strong. Though I cannot beat Rayleigh-Sensei or Yoruichi or Levi, I'm not at their level yet."
"Ero-Sennin?" Rayleigh walked over confused at the name.
"Oh, that's the nickname I give Jiraiya-Sensei sine he is a pervert." Naruto rubbed the back of his head giggling as Rayleigh, Levi, and Yoruichi chuckled at Naruto's nickname.
Irina scratched her head, "Jiraiya? Do you mean Jiraiya-sama the Toad Sage? One of the three legendary Sannin? Why would you give him such a rude title like that?"
"Well he is a pervert… you do know what a pervert is right?" Naruto was shocked Irina didn't know this.
Yoruichi shook her head, "Irina-chan is a little bit more innocent than you think Naruto-kun. She'll learn some other day." Yoruichi smiled as she ruffled Irina's hair.
"Mou, Yoruichi-Nee I said I don't like it when you mess with my hair!" Irina fixed her hair, so it wasn't a mess.
"Oh~? You trying to look good for Naruto-kun here? You got a little crush on him?" Yoruichi teased as Naruto stayed quiet with a blush appearing on his face.
"W-What!? N-NO! No way I'd like that baka! I only see him as a rival!" Irina turned her head the other way puffing her cheeks out. Yoruichi just giggled because she could see the tint of pink on her cheeks.
"Hey, I'm not baka! You're the baka, besides your just mad because I kicked your butt!" Naruto smirked back as Irina glared him.
"Why you! MOU! I'll show you one day! I'll get stronger than you!" Irina let a huff out as she smirked, "It's decided! I'm going to join Konoha! I'm going to become Hokage so I can show you just how better I am than you!"
"Oh no, you don't! I'm going to become Hokage so get in line twin tails!" Naruto shot back as Irina was offended by that.
"Ohohoho now you've done it blonde! I'm so kicking your butt next time we see another!" Irina got in Naruto's face as the two had electricity sparking off their foreheads.
"Alright you two break it up, why don't we all grab some lunch." Rayleigh's stomach began to growl, "Come on let's get some grub!"
"Hey, Naru-chan meet me and Shizune back here after lunch. We're going to continue some of your strength training." Tsunade had a smirk on her face, "There is no way in hell that girl is getting near my Naru-chan. Granddaughter of Mifune or not, no little harlot is sinking their claws into my baby boy!"
During lunch, Naruto had to ask, "Hey uhh Irina-chan why do you call Yoruichi and Levi your Nee-chan and Nii-chan?"
Irina smiled, "Well Yoruichi-Nee and Levi-Nii have been there since I was born. I'm not related to them, but they played and trained with me since I was a baby. You're the first outside person I've become friends with… so I guess you're not so bad." Irina's smile began to widen a bit more which caught Yoruichi's attention, "I don't see many other kids my age or get to play with. I'm either training here or they have school, I'm privately tutored."
Naruto nodded understanding how she felt, "Yeah I know how you feel actually. Kaa-chan, Nee-cha, Tonton, and I move around a lot. I don't make really any friends since I have to keep a low profile. You, Yoruichi, and Levi are the only friends I really made." Naruto pursed his lips as that turned into a smile. Yeah, his first real friend makes that sound nice.
"What about me Naruto-kun? I'm so hurt!" Rayleigh said as he held his hand over his heart as if he was going to have a heart attack, "I-I think I-I see the light!"
Naruto let a laugh out, "Rayleigh-Sensei you're my friend too, but you're also my Sensei. Still, though we're friends regardless!"
Irina chuckled, "Yeah Rayleigh-Sensei is powerful, I tried to learn his Conqueror's Chakra. That's the signature move that gave him the title of 'Dark King'.
"Dark King? Woah, I didn't know Rayleigh-Sensei was this awesome! How do you do that?" Naruto asked curiously.
"Well a big part of it, is you need to have great chakra control. Making sure you don't deplete all your chakra is important, so you don't die. Conqueror's Chakra is only born in a select few, even then if it is born in a select few. The user needs to train hard and vastly increase their chakra reserves and refine their chakra control. To do this, you need to exert a large portion of your chakra outwards. It's like killing intent, but it's a lot more potent and powerful. It has the power to conquer other people." Rayleigh smiled, "Though even doing all that doesn't mean you'll make it stronger."
"What does all that do?" Naruto asked confused, he said that training it can help it. Then he said that even doing all that won't make it stronger.
"Well it's hard to explain, all I can say is you need to train your will. The stronger your will, the more powerful Conqueror's Chakra will be." Rayleigh smirked, "I also go by another nickname known as 'Dark Tailed Beast' because my chakra reserves are large for an average Samurai and Shinobi." Rayleigh was feared by many Samurai, Shinobi, and Kages. Rayleigh made sure to defend the Land of Iron allowing the Samurai to grow strong and prosper. Now he is in his seventies, finding a successor to the name of the Dark King would be nice. Well, maybe his teachings more than the name.
"Wow, that sounds so cool! You think I have it!?" Naruto asked excitedly as he was about to rocket out of his seat.
"Ahahaah I like your determination kid! Well, there is only one way to determine if you even have it! That's to see if you can exert that much pressure onto others. Though it be safer if we did it with a lot of space and you did it on me. As everyone else doesn't have enough resistance, heck Yoruichi and Levi can't even handle even 20% of the Conqueror's Chakra!" Rayleigh poked fun at Yoruichi and Levi, though they don't like to talk about it. Their experiences with it were not pleasant a tall. Though Rayleigh's training methods with that is a bit hard to resist against, "As to know if you have it… well we don't know. It comes out at the time of need, not want." Rayleigh smiled.
"I see, well that's okay. I can't wait to continue training with swords! Uhh, the name of your technique was? King's Blade, right?" Naruto put his finger on his lip trying to remember.
"Correct and it took Levi and Yoruichi a little bit to learn, but I'm sure you can master it." Rayleigh smiled, "You're a smart kid."
"How long did it take them to learn it?" Naruto asked.
"Oh… what? Two to three years?" Yoruichi looked at Levi.
"It took about two and a half years." Levi put his chopsticks to his mouth eating sweet and sour pork.
"Mou I can't master that so quickly! Kaa-chan said that we'd be leaving in a week or so!" Naruto said upset. Rayleigh chuckled but Naruto shot back up, "Wait! I can use shadow clones to pick it up quicker!" Naruto slammed his right fist into his left palm.
Rayleigh was shocked, "Woah… you can do that already?"
"Yeah! Kaa-chan told me that I regulate my chakra in my body to use a jutsu. Even if it's a high-level jutsu I can regulate the jutsu where I can perform it. Though I can only regulate my chakra to use shadow clones. Other jutsus are difficult to do even though Shadow Clones are a high ranked jutsu."
"I see, maybe we can progress your training quicker with clones." Rayleigh smiled as Naruto scratched his head, "Were you not taught the use for clones?"
"Uhhh not really Kaa-chan told me to not use them otherwise. She said it can be dangerous if I deplete all my chakra." Naruto said worriedly.
"How many can you create at once without getting tired?" Rayleigh had to know, depending on how many Naruto can make. He can instruct each clone to learn his style and different attacks.
"I can make about twenty then again I've never gone past that." Naruto wondered, "What else could shadow clones be used for? I know I can use them in combat."
"Well, shadow clones can also be used for reconnaissance missions. They retain any information they learned and go back to you. Hence, I can train them while your training with us or your mother. You can learn my sword style while you're here." Rayleigh smiled, "One day I'll come to visit Konoha and see how my pupil is doing."
"Really Rayleigh-Sensei! You'll do that! You think I can master your sword style even though I'm not going to be a samurai!?" Naruto shot up on his feet excited.
"Well, why not? I don't see anything wrong with it, besides Irina-chan, said she was going to Konoha to become Hokage." Rayleigh, Levi, and Yoruichi began to chuckle as Irina smirked triumphantly angering Naruto.
"No way! I'm going to be Hokage!" Naruto said glaring at Irina, Irina did the same glaring back at Naruto.
Soon lunch came to an end as Tsunade came to get Naruto. Naruto had to head with Shizune to continue on his medical studies, "I'll talk to you guys later!" Naruto waved as he created twenty shadow clones that went with Rayleigh.
Tsunade asked, "Naru-chan I see that you enjoying your new friends. I'm happy for you ya know." Tsunade ruffled Naruto's hair as he smiled back up at his mother.
"Yeah, I'm glad to have met them too! They're super nice, but that Irina girl is annoying. She says she wants to become Hokage just because I kicked her butt! I don't get it! She could choose any other village but why Konoha! I want to become Hokage!" Naruto crossed his arms as Tsunade shook her head letting a sigh out.
"Well, there isn't anything you can do, besides you have a few more years before you got to Konoha." Tsunade smiled, "Besides we're gonna work you into the ground with your training! You'll be able to kick everyone's butt!" Tsunade held Naruto's hand as they made their way through the main side house of the Estate.
The two came to a study room where Shizune had some books out ready to teach Naruto, "Hey Naru-chan! Tsunade-Sensei! I'm all ready to prepare to teach Naruto on cellular biology." Shizune smirked, "Then Tsunade-Sensei… do you want me to teach Naruto that today?"
Tsunade let a sigh out and scratched her head, "Either have Anko Mitarashi teach him… or Shizune who is more responsible and trustworthy… or the pervert… definitely Shizune." "He is going to have to learn sooner or later. Better you than the pervert." Tsunade left quickly as Naruto looked back to see his mother close the door behind her.
"W-What? Nee-chan… what does Kaa-chan mean?" Naruto asked confused.
"Well, Naru-chan let's start off with the basics, cellular biology. Then we'll get to the interesting stuff." Shizune smiled a bit as she handed him a few notes on animal cells and plant cells.
Time Skip 6 Days (Tuesday)
After Naruto's study session with Shizune, his clones dispersed as he received their memories of his training. Naruto saw how much Rayleigh drilled the different stances, sword movements, angles, and dashes. He had his clones work more with footwork, the angle of the swings, strength, speed, and ways to counter. Naruto also was scarred he had a quick crash course with cells in animals and plants. However, then Shizune taught Naruto the birds and the bees. Which was something HE WAS NOT ready for. However, Naruto handles it appropriately and maturely.
During the rest of the six days, Naruto trained with Rayleigh when he could. Naruto also used his clones to further hone his sword skills with Rayleigh. Levi, Yoruichi, and Irina got to watch Tsunade train Naruto use his superhuman strength. Tsunade did so by pulling large chunks of rocks in the training field and threw them at Naruto. Naruto either had to dodge or punch them to break it with his own strength.
With Rayleigh's training even though Naruto did not complete his training. He knew enough so he could train the rest on his own. Naruto only got through a years' worth of training in a few days. It was impressive indeed which Irina was upset and annoyed that Naruto was on a different level than her. Though she vowed to beat Naruto one day and become Hokage before him.
Rayleigh was impressed with Naruto's skills as they already were. Though today would be a sad day, Tsunade was able to fully heal and save Irina's father Tsukune from his injuries and poison. Mifune was grateful for what Tsunade did and today was the day they were leaving.
The Senju family could be found on the outside with their cloaks on to combat the cold. Jiraiya was unable to meet them due to an emergency from one of his contacts. He was MIA since Tsunade hasn't heard from him since a few days ago. Tsunade assured Naruto that Jiraiya was fine and he meets up with them one day, "Do you really have to go? I could help continue Naruto's training."
"Thanks a lot, Rayleigh but I can continue from here on. If he really wants to continue practicing it. Now is a better time than never to see his commitment." Tsunade smiled, "He will have other things to work on like his strength training. I also know he has been slacking on his Fuinjutsu too."
"I haven't that much Kaa-chan I'm a level 2… well I guess I could have worked on it more." Naruto let a small nervous chuckle out as he scratched his head, "I got really excited about the learning Rayleigh-Sensei's sword style King's Blade."
"That's fine Naru-chan as long as you keep up on your medical skills is all I ask." Tsunade turned her attention to Mifune as they had a bit more to go over. This gave Naruto to say his goodbyes.
"Well, kid you better visit when your around don't be a stranger!" Yoruichi smirked sending Naruto a sultry smirk. Yoruichi was only a few years older than Naruto, just being around Naruto made it seem like she had a little brother.
"Hey, keep up your training Naruto. I can't wait to see how much you've grown." Levi began walking back into the house as Yoruichi shot him a dirty look. Naruto knew that Levi saw him as a rival as well. Levi was strong, but Naruto grew really strong over the course of a week or so. Meaning that Naruto could very well surpass him and Yoruichi in less than a month if Naruto trained hard.
Irina smirked, "Naruto if you lose to anyone else but me, I'll make you regret it! I'll beat you and join Konoha once I'm of age! I'LL BE HOKAGE!" Irina got into Naruto's face as she stared him straight in the eyes.
Naruto didn't move as he slowly backed up and smiled, "Well we'll just see how strong you get Twin Tails."
"Tch!" Irina let a huff out leaving the group as Rayleigh and Yoruichi let a chuckle out.
Rayleigh smiled as he placed a hand on Naruto's shoulder. Tsunade finished up what she had to say with Mifune and turned her attention to Naruto and Rayleigh. Tsunade couldn't help but smile at this, Naruto had his first Sensei. It was good that Naruto got to interact with other kids roughly his age. Having a different teacher than her, Shizune, and Jiraiya helps expand Naruto's experience with other Johnin-Senseis once he joins the village.
Rayleigh smiled, "I do hope you continue my teachings and show that the Dark King's return." Rayleigh saw a lot of himself in Naruto, maybe not the whole quick to anger when shoved. Naruto has a lot of spunk and energy like he had when he was young. Naruto shows a lot of promise, he has one hell of an ability that Rayleigh picked up. Guess Naruto was just born lucky with the type of body that he has.
"Yeah, I'll make you proud Rayleigh-Sensei! My Kaa-chan, Nee-chan, and Ero-Sennin will make sure I get strong. Then I'll come back to see you and show you just how strong I've gotten!" Naruto gave Rayleigh a salute as Rayleigh let a laugh out.
"I can't wait Naruto, but you're missing one thing," Rayleigh smirked knowing he couldn't wait to hand Naruto his gift.
"What's that? I got all your teachings down on scrolls. I've memorized or will memorize what you have taught me or what the scrolls say." Naruto also held out the wooden katana he has, "I'll also eventually get a real sword too!"
Rayleigh ruffled Naruto's hair, "But you can't be an awesome swordsman without this." Rayleigh handed Naruto a katana that had a dark red scabbard. Naruto could see that towards the hilt there were two gold bands that had some of the dark red scabbard in the middle. The golden bands were on either side. This added some flare to the scabbard, on the hilt there was gold and red leather wrap for the handle.
Naruto smiled as he took the crafted blade and pulled the blade out only partially. Naruto smiled as he looked at the blade and saw near the hilt. The Senju clan symbol was engraved into the metal before Rayleigh could say anything more Naruto said, "Fushigiri… Fushigiri is the name of my sword."
"Ahhh interesting name, Slayer of the Undying." Rayleigh put his hand on his chin and nodded his head approving the name, "Though I must ask… why Fushigiri."
"Well, Ero-Sennin told me stories about the Sandaime and Yodaime Hokage of the leaf. By his stories, it sounds like Sandaime and Yodaime were almost unbeatable. Undying… though the Yodaime died, he is like living with me right through this sword!" Naruto smirked as he liked the way he came up with the name of his blade. Tsunade grew worried about how close Naruto was close to figuring it out on his own. Naruto was smart, he knew about how genetics now. Naruto has been asking about who his father was a lot recently.
Rayleigh nodded his head, "A fine name for a sword, it said that the name given to the sword is the name of the warrior's fighting spirit that resides within the blade." Rayleigh held up his simple white blade with some black hints, "This is Airi, my katana it's ironic because Airi means white. I'm known as the Dark King. I hope our swords can clash one day; I can't wait."
"Yeah! Fushigiri and I can't wait either! Thanks for everything Rayleigh-Sensei!" Naruto gave him a polite bow as Naruto then turned to Mifune, "Thank you for letting us stay here Mifune-Jiji" Naruto's torso stood back up as Tsunade hit him over the head.
"Naru-chan! What have I told you about manners about addressing people!" Tsunade glared at her son.
Mifune couldn't help but chuckle, "It's quite alright Tsunade-sama I find it quite pleasant. Besides Irina-chan doesn't even call me Jiji-san." Mifune put his hand on his hips, "Well I wish you all luck on your journey. I can't wait to hear of your name travel across the Elemental Nation's Naruto-kun I know you'll live up to your name. You'll be your own Shinobi and make a good name for yourself."
"Thank you Mifune-dono now, we will be on our way." Tsunade waved goodbye to Mifune as the Senju family began their trek to the nearest village to stay in.
Naruto strapped his new sword on his back and smiled, "I can't wait guys! I'm going to be so strong once I get to Konoha!"
"Yes, I must say you will be. Which reminds me of that Irina girl? She is like one of your newest rival, right?" Shizune giggled trying to poke fun at Naruto, "She kinda cute ya know Naru-chan." Shizune walked over close to Naruto nudging him the side.
"Nee-chan it isn't like that! Besides she wants to take the hat from the Hokage! I won't stand for it! I will be Hokage! Just like the Yodaime and Sandaime!" Naruto said jumping into the air happily. He turned around and face his family, "You can betcha I'm going to train like crazy these next four years!"
Tsunade smiled, "Yeah I know you will Naru-chan, you're my son after all! We're going to make sure you kick all those pansy pre-Genin in the academy!" Tsunade placed her right hand on her left bicep, "We're going to way amp up your training to new levels! I want you to learn to use more of my super strength! I was also thinking of getting you to work on Genjutsu, I don't know too many, but I'm sure you can pick it easily."
"Hmmm, Genjutsu… I remember you and Nee-chan telling me about that. Guess I can take a look into it." Naruto smiled, "Man! I'm going to be such a cool butt-kicking Swordsman Combat Medic!" Naruto had a huge grin on his face as he felt his blood pumping and his muscles wanting to train again.
"Let's get a move on then!" Tsunade began to pick up the pace in her walking as Shizune had a sweat drop appear on her head, "Jeez I haven't seen Tsunade-Sensei this fired up before."
Later
The group arrived at the small house within a few hours. Naruto went to bed exhausted after the travels. Tsunade and Shizune were sitting at the table in the kitchen. Currently, they had two saucers of Sake, due to a letter Jiraiya sent to them. Katsuyu delivered a letter through the toads giving it to Katsuyu. It was a letter stating that the Five Tailed Jinchuriki has also gone missing. Reports say that people wearing black cloaks with red clouds on them. Jiraiya noted that they need to keep moving and stay low.
So, that same night Jiraiya later arrived late. He wanted to sleep but Tsunade demanded they begin a training relumine for Naruto. There was no if, no, buts or sleep for the toad sage. They began to prepare Naruto for some hell training for the next four years. They want to increase his reserves more, increase his arsenal of ninjutsu and genjutsu. Maybe even help him come up with some moves and jutsus of his own if they can. All Tsunade wants to make sure Naruto isn't hurt by anyone, no matter who it is.
Naruto had to get stronger, otherwise, Naruto could very well end up dead. Leaving a distraught Senju mother, Shizune, and depressed Jiraiya. Jiraiya said, "We'll continue his physical training which I'm sure you can do. Continue working on his chakra control and refine it to your liking. I don't care if the brat is already perfect, I want it polished, etched, refined, clean, all of the above. I'll continue working on his ninjutsu and increase his arsenal and get it where his nature affinities are that of Tobirama. If I can get Naruto's affinities to be conjured up so easily, Naruto would be unstoppable. What about medical ninjutsu and the medical field in general. Where does he fall in line for that?"
"Well, Shizune just gave Naruto the talk along with regular cellular biology. Though I'm worried that he is going to find out that his father was the Yodaime on his own. He knows how genetics work now, sooner or later he will want to know who his father was." Tsunade still was upset at Minato for making Naruto a Jinchuriki. Then Tsunade placed her left hand on her right wrist and remembered Naruto's bracelet he made for her. It helped calm her down, "I know maybe I can teach him the Creation Rebirth."
"Tsunade-Sensei you can't be serious!" Shizune said with shock, "Creation Rebirth does not repair the old cells, instead of hastening the creation of new ones through division. Because a body's cells can only split a certain number of times, the user shortens their natural lifespan whenever this technique is used!"
Tsunade said, "Better him lose a couple of years of his life than lose it entirely." Tsunade looked at her wrist where Naruto's bracelet was on. She squeezed her bracelet with her left hand and smiled, "I'm doing everything I can do to protect him, no way in hell anyone is taking my baby boy from me."
Jiraiya smiled, "Yeah that's a good idea I agree with you on that one. Also… in due time once he has mastered other jutsus. Once we tell Naruto of his father, I want to teach him the Rasengan. Then I'll help him break down the Hiraishin Jutsu so Naruto can use it." Jiraiya knew that if Naruto learned his father's mother powerful jutsu he would be forced to be reckoned with.
"Wait what about his Mokuton?" Tsunade asked worriedly, "Sensei doesn't know he has it, we need scrolls for Naruto to learn from."
"Actually, Tsunade there is someone in Konoha who has the Mokuton besides Naruto." Jiraiya took another slug of sake from his saucer
At this point, Tsunade began rubbing the temples of her forehead. She grabbed the bottle and downed it in a few seconds, "Explain." Tsunade said stated angrily.
Jiraiya let a sigh out and began to tell Tsunade about one of Orochimaru's sick experiments, "As an infant, Yamato was his name, was abducted by Orochimaru and became one of sixty children that were his test subjects. They were injected with the First Hokage's DNA in the hopes that they could replicate the First's ability to use Wood Release. Before Orochimaru could finalize the results of the experiments, he was caught by Sensei for his other experiments and had to flee the village. Because every child who had been subjected to the experiment had died after a certain amount of time, Orochimaru believed all remaining test subjects would perish as well. In actuality, this boy was the lone survivor and found himself endowed with an unquantified Wood Release and likewise the First's abilities to control tailed beasts." Jiraiya explained as Tsunade slammed her fist on the table causing it to break.
"Dammit, Jiraiya! He disturbed the grave of my grandfather and experimented on innocent children!" Tsunade shook her head angrily, "I told you and Sensei that you should have killed him when you had him cornered! You knew he was changing, and it was a bad change."
"I know… the next time I see him I'll end him myself. I thought he was my friend, but he was just a traitor and psychopath. Wanting to learn the secrets to immortality and all the possible ninjutsu in the world." Jiraiya knew he and Hiruzen messed up, but killing his teammate and friend was the hardest thing for him to do.
Tsunade had a shiver go up to her spine as she looked out the window. Tsunade hand wrapped around the piece of the table that broke off when she smashed it. "Once Orochimaru learns that Naru-chan can use the Mokuton. I'm afraid he might go after him." If Orochimaru did try it, Orochimaru would never see another ninjutsu again. If he was going to see anything before he died, would be her enraged face along with her bloodied hand with his blood on it bashing his face in.
"I'd never let that happen either if it did that be my responsibility already. Too many lives ruined, soiled, destroyed, and lost because I couldn't bring myself to kill him. I'd be dammed if the son of my best student were to be killed by him." Jiraiya brought his hand up to his face and clenched it, "That's why I'm thinking of letting him sign the Toad Contract too. Also if Katsuyu would be willing to allow Naruto to have two summons."
"I say the more the help he can get the better. Tomorrow we're upping his training, I want him to be able to use at least half my superhuman strength. Be able to reattach severed limbs with his mystic palm jutsu." Tsunade looked at Naruto's door, "Like he said himself, he wants to be the best Swordsman Combat Medic. Something like that." Tsunade let a small chuckle out as Shizune shook her head with a smile on her face.
"Swordsman? Since when did he pick that up?" Jiraiya asked shocked.
"Oh, when we went to Mifune he had some of his trusted samurai with him. One of them so happened to be Silver Rayleigh the Dark King. He took a liking to Naruto and decided to teach Naruto his sword technique. Naruto is of three other students that train under him." Tsunade looked at Jiraiya knowing that Naruto would be alright.
"Well, the brat met one of the best samurai in the elemental nations. I know that Rayleigh could give the Seven Swordsmen of the Mist a run for their money. That requires that they all fight him seven on one." Jiraiya felt better that Naruto picked up a sword. Something else that Naruto can train up and make moves to add to his arsenal. This would definitely make Naruto hard to beat once he fully matures.
Time Skip Four Years in Konoha (Naruto Age 12)
A young man with blonde spiky hair and sky-blue eyes. He came walking up to the gates of Konoha. He was about 5'1 as he only grew a few inches over the year. The boy's mother pointed out that Naruto was quite tall for a twelve-year-old. The boy had a learn muscular built thanks to all the training he has been going through. He is wearing an orange jacket that had a dark blue hood. He also had dark blue pants with some hints of orange and dark blue opened toed sandals. His Ninja outfit was in a scroll along with all of his belongings in his backpack including his katana, "Alright Naruto, while Tsunade and Shizune handle the outbreak in a village that's in between the Land of Wind and Land of Fire. Try not to get into too much trouble brat, tell the old man I said hi. I got a contact to go meet in Kumo." Jiraiya left in a Shushin as Naruto let a sigh out.
"Yeah, probably some damn prostitute or a post to spy on woman in the hot springs. Stupid pervert." Naruto let a sigh out as he adjusted the strap on his shoulder of his backpack. Naruto began to make his way through the village.
Just there were two men who spoke up, "Hello there young man, what's your business in Konoha."
Naruto walked up and smiled, "Hello I'm here to visit the Hokage, I have some personal business to take care of. Naruto smiled at the two guards protecting the gates of Konoha.
"I see then, well carry on." The man nodded his head letting Naruto in. he had long, spiky, black hair and dark eyes. He has a strip of bandage running across the bridge of his nose and a light-colored marking on his chin. His friend has brown hair and dark eyes. His hair is combed down and always covers his right eye. He wears his forehead protector like a bandanna along with the standard Konoha shinobi outfit which goes all the way up to his chin.
Naruto looked at Konoha and saw all the tall buildings. The clothing shops, food market, toy shops, and much more. Naruto couldn't help but feel a bit more overwhelmed. He only ever knew what a village or small town was like. Being in a village was a whole new can of beans. Naruto began to trek through the village looking at everything that was new. He couldn't help but smile at all the different things he has never seen before. One of them is a large grocery store, with the place also having instant ramen! Like where the hell was it when he was out in those other villages! Naruto couldn't help it as his mouth watered at the ramen. Just then he snapped to remember he had to go visit the Hokage.
Naruto saw the giant tower knowing it was the Hokage Tower thanks to his mother's description. Naruto continued on his way towards the tower until he heard, "Hands off Dai! I don't want anything to do with you! Let me go I need to get back to work!" Naruto heard a female girl yell from the alley.
Naruto turned the corner and saw a guy with curly brown hair wearing a blue sweater and tan pants. He had his hand up against the wall next to a girl with a slender figure with long, dark brown hair and large black eyes, and fair skin. She is wearing a white robe with the sleeves folded back, and a dark blue apron with ribbon ties at the top and a bright white bandanna. Naruto walked up and said, "Hey! She said to leave her alone and not to touch her!" Naruto shouted as he glared at the man who was called Dia. (A/N: In case ya'll are wondering it's Dai Mitarai from Hajimete No gal Wiki.)
Dai chuckled as he backed up from the girl, "What do you care kid? You don't even come up to eye level with me. Go back where you came from little boy."
"Heh how funny? You really aren't that tall yourself ya know that? What you sixteen seventeen? I mean I'm twelve so yeah, I'm going to be short. Though I can say if you better back off or I'm shoving my foot up your ass." Naruto threatened Dai as Dai let out more of a laugh.
"Do you even know who I am boy? I'm Dai Mitarai! My father is one of the head council board for merchants and trades! I'm a king here! This is my stomping grounds, here I'm the alpha these girls are mine for the taking." Dai smirked as he leaned into the girl's face as he placed his hand on her chin.
The girl shouted and closed her eyes, "Leave me alone!"
Just then she felt a breeze blow past her. She opened her eyes to see the blonde boy in front of her, "Don't worry he won't be bothering you anymore." The girl looked to the right to find Dai face first in a bunch of trash with his butt in the air. There was steam coming from where his asshole should be.
"Ummm is he going to be okay?" The girl asked worriedly.
"Yeah, he'll be fine." Naruto walked over and grabbed Dai by his hair, "If I ever find you bothering this nice young lady or any other girl. I promise you, I'll more than just shove my foot up your ass." Naruto gave Dai a sickly smile as he leaned in to whisper in his ear, "If you try any of this again." Naruto randomly had a rusty scalpel appear in his hand, "I'll remove what makes you a man with this. I'll do it without any sedatives to numb the pain." Naruto dropped him back into the trash where he belongs.
"Uhhh what did you tell him." The girl said nervously.
"Don't worry about it, he won't be bothering you anymore. If he does try anything let me know, the name is Naruto. It's a pleasure to meet you." Naruto extended his hand out.
"Aren't you a charmer, the name is Ayame. It's a pleasure to meet you." Ayame smiled at Naruto.
"How about I walk you home? I'm sure my Jiji-san can wait a bit longer. Besides I have a good reason to be late." Naruto motioned her to follow him.
"Uhhh you do know where my home is right?" Ayame giggled as Naruto froze and began to scratch the back of his head.
"Heh, probably should let you take the lead." Naruto motioned her to take the lead.
With some more talking Naruto learned that Ayame actually worked at a Ramen Stand, "W-What! You work at a ramen stand! I love ramen!" He sent a huge grin towards Ayame's way as she couldn't help but have a tint of pink appear on her cheeks. (A/N: Originally in the anime, Ayame is 17 but here she is 15.)
"I can see that, why don't you stop by our stand. You can have a bowl on the house as thanks for helping me out." Ayame chuckled at Naruto's attitude towards ramen. That began to remind her of a woman with red hair who like ramen a lot.
Soon they arrived as an old man came running out of the store, "Oh Ayame-chan! Thank heavens your alright! What happened?" An old man with a white chef outfit and hat came running out.
"I'm okay Tou-san Naruto here saved me from Dai. He was being a pain earlier trying to get me to join him in bed." Ayame had a shiver run down her spine just thinking about it.
"That little bastard! I'll teach him to mess with my little noddle! I'll kill him I swear! I." Teuchi forgot Naruto was there.
"Tou-san it's alright Naruto-san here said that he took care of it. Dai shouldn't be bothering me anymore." Ayame gave Naruto a slight bow as a sign of thanks, "I also said he could have a free bowl of ramen once he visits his grandfather."
"I see then, well I must thank you Naruto-kun. Please stop by anytime for ramen!" Teuchi smiled happy that his daughter was alright.
"Will do I'll come back for that bowl of ramen! Ramen is the food of the gods!" Naruto turned and waved as he began to walk towards the Hokage Tower.
"Food of the gods… didn't Kushina-chan say that a lot?" Ayame turned to her father.
"Yeah, she did… it just must be a coincidence, two crazed ramen lovers?" Teuchi chuckled as he turned to go back inside and begin working since Ayame brought back the groceries she went out to get.
After that small little delay, Naruto got back on track and made his way towards the Hokage Tower. Entered and saw a reception desk, "Sir which way do I go up to see the Hokage. He is expecting me today."
The man sitting at the reception desk pointed to the stairs, "Take those up and make a right then go down the hall. You'll come to the secretary's desk."
Naruto nodded his thanks and made his way up to the top. He followed the man's instructions and soon made it to the secretary's desk. The lady there smiled, "Why hello there young many what might you be here for?"
"I'm Naruto, I'm here to see the Hokage. He has been expecting me to arrive at one point today. Is he available right now?" Naruto asked politely.
"I see, let me see if he is busy." The lady got up and made her way towards the door and knocked on it, "Hokage-sama are you busy right now sir?"
"I'm free, is there someone there?" Hiruzen asked curiously.
"Yes, there is a young man by the name of Naruto here." She replied as she opened the door. She had never seen the old Hokage get out of his seat and make his way towards the door.
"Please let me see him! I've been waiting a long time to see him. Please Naruto-kun please come inside, thank you very much for telling me. I want you to make sure we aren't disturbed by anyone." Hiruzen had a welcoming smile and a warm aura. Naruto felt how happy and excited the old man's chakra seemed to be. Naruto quickly walked in as the secretary stepped aside.
"As you wish Hokage-sama." She bowed and went back towards her seat.
Naruto went into Hiruzen's office and looked at all the pictures of the previous Kage. Then Naruto was confused, "Uhh Jiji-san why are there other people in the room?" Naruto asked confused as Hiruzen was a little taken back by this.
"Naruto-kun you can sense other people in here?" Hiruzen asked curiously but he quickly shook his head and held his hand up in the air, "Will you all please give us some privacy please." Like that all the Anbu in the room left via Shushin. Like that Naruto sensed that they were all gone. Hiruzen made a couple of hand seals as a privacy barrier and silence seal went up.
"So, you must be Hiruzen Sarutobi, Kaa-chan told me that you were going to be my Jiji-san." Naruto had a smile form on his face excited to meet his grandfather.
"Yes, I am it's a pleasure to meet you Naruto-kun. I've been hoping to see you for twelve long years. I'm glad you doing alright." Hiruzen motioned Naruto to sit on his lap.
Naruto walked over and sat down no Hiruzen's lap, "Wow, Ero-Sennin told me you had a lot of chakra. He wasn't kidding, you must be really strong Jiji-san!" Naruto said excitedly as Hiruzen caught onto the name Ero-Sennin and that Naruto was really excited to meet him.
"Might I ask who this Ero-Sennin person is?" Hiruzen asked confused.
"Oh, Ero-Sennin that's Jiraiya I call him that because he is a pervert. He always asks for respect from me, but he is a pervert." Naruto said with a frown as Hiruzen swore he could see that same flame in the eyes of Naruto that Tsunade had when Jiraiya did something perverted. "May Kami have mercy on any perverts soul whoever is on the receiving end of Naruto-kun's fist."
"I see a fine name for him I must say so myself. Though I can't help but notice that you seem to be a sensor?" Hiruzen was glad that there was another sensor in their ranks.
"Well yeah, not only can I sense your strong and big chakra reserves. I could feel how warm and welcoming you were!" Naruto said with a big grin on his face, "Oh I also forgot to say that Kaa-chan told me that I have Great Mito-Obaa-chan's ability to sense emotions. Though Kaa-chan said it was a version where I can sense good and bad emotions." Naruto had a big grin on his face. Naruto remembers learning that technique during his training with Jiraiya. When they were practicing in the forest for Naruto to find them hiding. Further developing him sensing others, they realized that he was a sensor, no matter what they couldn't hide from him. Not only that, but he also pointed out their emotions of curiosity and shock. Thus, Tsunade concluded that he must have an advanced version of Mito Uzumaki's Negative Emotion Sensing.
"Well, that's quite interesting Naruto-kun I'm glad to hear that you've gotten so strong! Now I am just a little curious, how strong do you think you are?" Hiruzen asked wondering just what type of training Tsunade and Jiraiya put him through.
Naruto put his finger on his lip and then smiled, "Jiji-san you know better, a ninja never reveals their secret! Also, a good ninja needs to deceive their enemies! I will tell this much, Kaa-chan's training methods were hell." Naruto began to pale a bit as Hiruzen noticed this, "What did Tsunade-chan put this child through!?"
"I see then… well I'm glad you're here. Anyways let's get to business and I do look forward to hearing what you can do. Tomorrow you'll start the academy and I'll also inform the council of whom you are. Thus, word will spread, and you'll be known." Hiruzen smiled, "Though I do have another question do you know of your father?"
Naruto nodded his head, "Yeah I've known for a while. I also know about the Kyuubi too, Ero-Sennin, Kaa-chan, and Nee-chan told me after we went to save Mifune-Jiji's son Tsukune from poisoning."
"Ahhh I heard about that, Tsunade-chan send me a letter on that." Hiruzen wondered why Tsunade only sent two letters over the course of twelve years.
"They said if they could trust me keeping quiet about my last name. I was old and responsible enough to learn who my Tou-san was and what he did." Naruto looked at his stomach and placed a hand on the seal, "The furball and I talked… bit of a grouch but he isn't that bad." Naruto smiled as Hiruzen's eye widen.
"Y-You've talked to the Kyuubi?" Hiruzen had to ask to make sure everything was 100% alright.
"Well yeah, I mean he is grumpy most of the time because my Tou-san sealed him into me. He still wants out but ya know. Told the old furball he is stuck with me so, I just gotta deal with it. Isn't that right you overgrown furball?" Naruto looked at his stomach poking at it as if he was poking Kyuubi.
Actually, in the seal Naruto was using a tree branch to poke Kyuubi, "DAMMIT STOP DOING THAT AND LEAVE ME ALONE!" The Kyuubi roared annoyed at Naruto's antics.
Naruto looked up to Hiruzen and smiled, "It's all good Jiji-san Ero-Sennin has been doing a good job keeping the seal in check!"
"I-I see." Hiruzen couldn't help but realize how easy Naruto was taking all this. To know that you have people coming after you like the Akatsuki. People who want to kill him because he is Tsunade's son and Minato's son. Then again, they probably trained him so hard that he thinks he might unstoppable. "I hope your special training hasn't gone to your head Naruto-kun. There is always someone out there way stronger than you." "Give this to Iruka tomorrow when you go in. This letter will explain everything to him about who you are. Why I've given you special permission to join the academy. Granted you'll be dead last, you'll be put on a team depending on who the top rookie and Kunoichi of the year is."
"I see… well guess being called dead last should be interesting. Though titles don't mean anything, nor do they truly describe the person at this age." Naruto said wisely as Hiruzen nodded his head.
"That's very true, now why don't you enjoy the village. Enjoy being Naruto they start groveling at your feet and kissing your feet." Hiruzen chuckled as Naruto shot him a dirty look.
"Hnnnn! I'm going to hate being called Senju-Sama to much." Naruto's face scrunched up as he let a sigh out, "Well for the time being where am I going to stay Jiji-san?"
"Well, I already have a place for you to set up temporarily. The place is already paid out thanks to the funds you won at the casino when you were young." Hiruzen let a chuckle out as he took out the deed and the key, "The rent has been paid for a year, you can move in when you want. It's not far from here about a five-minute walk." Hiruzen gave the key to Naruto to stowed it away in his pocket.
"Thanks, Jiji-san! If I need anything I'll stop by!" Naruto waved to Hiruzen as he put the seals down and Naruto left the room. Naruto exited the Hokage Tower and decided to look around more in the village. Naruto made his way around the village as he looked around. Akimichi BBQ, Yamanaka Flower Shop, and a lot of other popular stores. Naruto saw Yamanaka Flowers and liked it because of the plants. Over the course of the four years, Naruto enjoyed planting or taking care of plants. He did so to help Shizune create poisons and cures for people.
Naruto went inside as a person from the counter spoke up, "Hello welcome to Yamanaka Flowers! If you need anything, please let us know!" A girl fair skin, light blue eyes, and long platinum blonde hair worn in a ponytail, with bangs framing the right side of her face. She was also wearing a purple outfit consisting of a high-collared blouse and matching apron skirt.
"Hello, I'm Naruto I'm just new around here. I stopped here to get a nice plant for my place. Do you guys have any Lespedeza Thunbergii?" Naruto asked looking around which confused the young girl.
"My name is Ino Yamanaka… though I don't know what Lespedeza Thunbergii is." Ino has never heard of that name before.
"Ino I'm surprised you don't recognize the original name of our clan symbol." A man with long ash-blond hair reaching into his lower back, which he wore spiky on top and ending in a long ponytail, light green eyes and strong facial features, which included a well-defined jawline, "The Lespedeza Thunbergii is also known as the Bush Clover, our clan symbol. This young man just knows its true name. How do you know of it's true name?" The man asked.
"Hello Mr. Yamanaka, I'm Naruto, I know this because my Nee-san and Kaa-chan taught me everything to do with plants and flowers." Naruto said proudly as he scratched the back of his head, "I also just like taking care of plants… guess I just got a green thumb."
Ino couldn't help but smile, "Wow smart and cute… just like Sasuke-kun… wait… did I just think that!?" Ino slapped her cheeks, "Yeah that's cool that you're knowledgeable about plants. Not many other's take the time to learn such things. Oh, yes we do we have some seeds for that plant here." Ino walked over to a stand next to the cash register and placed a couple of packets on the table.
"Cool thanks a lot! I'll take three, I've always enjoyed these flowers the most." Naruto pulled his money out and placed them on the counter.
Naruto went to continue talking more as Ino caught on what Naruto was going to say. Together they both said, "The Bush Clover stands for a blunt, candid love who treasures the bonds with her friends." Naruto looked up when the two said it at the same time.
"Wow, it seems we got a lot in common huh." Ino giggled a little bit with a tint of pink on her cheeks looking at Naruto.
Naruto let a chuckle out as he handed her the money and took the seeds, "My Nee-chan tells me a lot about flowers. The reason I liked the Lespedeza Thunbergii so much is that I want to form those bonds. I want to make a lot of friends, you see for my case I couldn't make many friends. I've been wanting to make a lot for a while now." Naruto picked up the pot and went brought it back to buy as well, "Ehehe I forgot to get a pot."
Ino giggled at his forgetful nature, "It's okay, know what as a friend to flowers. Why don't you just take it? Besides don't think we could be friends. I could introduce you to a few of my friends too."
Inoichi chuckled as he looked at Naruto, though one thing stood out about him. Naruto's appearance looked like someone Inoichi knew, "Why does he remind me of someone… but who? I swear I've seen that face before. Now that I look at the boy he seems a bit more fit than the regular civilians here. I wonder… who this boy is?" Inoichi was cut from his thoughts when Naruto left. Inoichi chuckled, "Another cute boy my little princess has a crush on?"
"DADDY!" Ino shouted with a blush as she turned away and puffed out her cheeks. Then she put her finger on her lip, "Well… he isn't that bad looking, he pretty cute, he does have a lot better personality than Sasuke… wait what am I saying!?" Ino put her hands on her head rubbing her head.
Inoichi just rolled his eyes, "You'll learn one day sweetie, life is going to hit you like a truck." Inoichi went to getting bags of fertilizer and shipments of more flowerpots, "Ino please go restock the Yellow Panther Lilies."
"Hai Tou-chan." Ino got up from her seat and went to go do her work.
With Naruto
Naruto made his way towards the ramen stand he wanted to be at earlier today. Naruto found the girl Ayame there, "Yo Ayame-chan! Teuchi-Jiji!" Naruto smiled as he sat down in a seat. Naruto noticed a man sitting with white gravity-defying hair, "Yo what's up one eye." Naruto noticed his one as he smiled at him.
The man with white gravity-defying hair eyes looked at the boy confused, "Yo." He said as he placed money down and disappeared in a Shushin. Naruto noted that he was wearing a Johnin vest as wondered what his name was. Naruto put his finger on his lip then slammed his right hand into his left palm, "I remember him! That's Kakashi Hatake! One of Ero-Sennin's fans that write to him asking when the next book would be out." Naruto let a sigh out grumbling, "If I have him as my Johnin-Sensei I'm going to make his life miserable."
With Kakashi
He was sitting in a tree reaching the renounced Icha-Icha book. He felt a shiver go down his spine, "What was that… not only was someone talking about me. Eh, whatever probably some spandex guy talking about Youth or whatever."
Back to Naruto
Ayame came jogging out from the back, but she ended up tripping on the edge of the doorstep. Just then Naruto launched himself from his seat catching her from falling, "You alright?" Naruto helped her stand back up.
Ayame couldn't help but blush and smiled, "Y-Yeah uhhh Ahahahah stupid doorstep, yeah I guess it was a nice trip." Ayame joked.
"Yeah, I'll see ya next fall." Naruto sent his grin he uses on his mother her way as Ayame blushed. "Man, why is he so handsome!"
"Well can I get like five bowls of the Miso Pork Ramen! I'll pay for the four since the one is on the house!" Naruto grinned as he got excited, "I swear if I could I'd marry this girl! Cute, can cook, and cook all the Ramen I want!"
Ayame nodded her head and shouted the order to her father. Ayame turned back to Naruto wanting to get to know him better, "So what brings you to the village Naruto-kun?"
Naruto noted the suffix -kun to his name, "I came here to visit my Jiji-san that I heard a lot about from my Kaa-chan." Naruto smiled, "I'm glad I got to meet him, it's only my second time meeting him. That was twelve years ago when I was a baby, I met him. Though I don't remember it because that's the day I was born."
"Oh, who is your Jiji-san? Is he part of the council or anything?" Ayame asked curiously.
"Well kinda, but he isn't blood related to me though. My Kaa-chan was really close to him, so allowed him to become my Jiji-san when I meet him." Naruto smiled, but then realized they have no idea who his grandfather is, "Oh my Jiji-san is the Hokage!" Naruto looked up at the tower, "I've heard so many stories from Ero-Sennin about him and the Yodaime Hokage."
"Oh? Your grandfather is the Hokage… but you aren't blood related. You were just told that he would be your grandfather like figure?" Ayame was a little shocked and who was Ero-Sennin? Naruto knew about stories about the from this Ero-Sennin? Perverted Sage? "Now that he mentions the Yodaime… he kinda looks like him… actually he looks like an exact replica!" "Are you related to the Yodaime by chance?" Ayame had to ask or she would never get over it.
Naruto shook his head, acting very well (A/N: Lmao rolled nat 20! Jk lmao). "I get that a lot but no I'm pretty sure my hair shade isn't like his. I can see that though, but I did originate from the area where he was born in though. So I can see how my looks would resemble him, my Kaa-chan told me so."
"Eh well worth a shot, well I must know then are you attending the academy?" Ayame asked, but from his figure, she could tell that he was.
"Yeah, I am, I'm just Naruto I don't have a last name or anything. I'm just gonna make a name for myself so everyone knows who I am." Naruto was handed his ramen as he began to dig in and eat. Naruto knew he lied, just he wanted to be treated normally for a little while.
"Well, I'm sure you can Naruto-kun I can't wait to hear how you did. Enjoy your meal and you can leave the money by the table." Ayame went into the back as she didn't mind putting a little sway in her step. She turned her head to the side and couldn't help but notice Naruto pause his eating. She giggled as she went into the back blushing as Naruto couldn't help but rubbed the bridge on his nose, "I swear Ero-Sennin rubbing off on me, or it's what Nee-chan told me about what happens to boys when we get older." Naruto continued to eat and placed the money down on the table and left. Naruto went to go check out his apartment and call it a day. It was already 8:00 pm and the class was at 9:00 am.
Next-Day 7:00 am Council Meeting Room
Hiruzen was wearing everything a proud Kage should wear. Hiruzen called everyone for an early meeting that he wished to discuss with everyone, "Ahh I'm glad everyone could make it, I know it's early and it must be inconvenient for all of you."
"Just get on with what you have Hiruzen." Homura let a yawn out as he rubbed his eyes.
"This must be important if you had us wake up this early." Koharu took a sip of coffee she took with her.
"Well, I wanted to let you all know that as of today we have a new student in the academy. He arrived yesterday to join our ranks." Hiruzen stated happily and proudly to be considered Naruto's grandfather. Also seeing the face of everyone, especially Danzo, Koharu, and Homura, would be a pleasant pleasure to see.
"Are becoming senile in your old age Hiruzen? Letting some random person join our ranks!" Hiruzen said angrily, "Maybe you should have an Anbu, Ibiki, or Anko interrogate the person."
Hiruzen let a loud chuckle out confusing everyone. Not many people see the old Kage laugh so hard, "Ahhh Danzo, I must say you're not getting any younger too. Anyways that won't be needed because I know the boy's mother." This caught everyone's attention when he said boy, "The boy's name is Naruto, a mighty fine young man I must say so myself. I know he is quite powerful for his age because of who his mother is and who helped train him."
"Alright you got up in suspense just tell us already who the boy's mother is!" Koharu said annoyed, learning this boy's name was only Naruto was annoying.
"Well Koharu, I think you might find it interesting on who the boy's mother is. Oh! I forgot Naruto-kun's last name!" Hiruzen let another laugh out as everyone looked at the old Kage confused.
"Alright well spit it out!?" One of the female civilian council members shouted annoyed being woken up so early.
"His name is Naruto… Senju Naruto." Hiruzen put his pipe in his mouth and smirked as he took a puff. Hiruzen examined everyone's face as he smirked.
"H-How!?" One of the civilian members shouted.
"The only other Senju member is… is…" The civilians and everyone else in the room eyes widen.
"Tsunade-chan? Oh yeah, I know it's her son. I was there for the birth myself." Hiruzen shrugged his shoulders like it was nothing big. Hiruzen saw that Shikaku was awake, Choza dropped his piece of toast, Hiruzen swore he saw Inoichi have a mild seizure, and the others all just were aghast.
"W-What!? Hiruzen! Why wouldn't you tell us this important and wonderful news!?" Koharu shouted as Homura nodded his head agreeing.
Hiruzen shook his head, "If he were to raise here, he be praised and loved by everyone. The revival of the clan is great yes, but everyone would give Naruto-kun everything."
"Well shouldn't he!? I mean he is the Senju Heir then!?" A civilian council spoke up.
"No then Naruto-kun wouldn't want to train for anything. He thinks he be handed everything and become a spoiled brat." Hiruzen said with a scowl, "Tsunade taking Naruto out of the village was risky, but she kept herself under the radar. No one suspected a thing."
"Well who is the boy's father?" Homura asked curiously as everyone else wanted to know.
"Well in all honesty I don't know, neither does Jiraiya. Tsunade-chan is the only one that knows who's the father is." Hiruzen had to lie, news getting out that Naruto's father was Minato could cause an uproar in the other villages. He KNOWS that the other villages would try to capture, take, or kill Naruto at the opportunity.
"What about the boy's strength?" Danzo asked as Hiruzen knew he would ask that question.
"I don't know, but I'm sure he is way stronger than the Uchiha Heir is. He was trained in medical ninjutsu by Tsunade-chan and Shizune-chan. Jiraiya helped him with ninjutsu, Tsunade in taijutsu, Shizune in chakra scalpels, and Jiraiya with Fuinjutsu. I don't know his strength level, his skill in each field. These are just things Tsunade sent to me by mail." Hiruzen really didn't know what Naruto's skill was. He didn't know what ninjutsu he uses, what affinities he had, or even what type of taijutsu the boy used.
With Naruto at the Academy
Naruto found his way around to the room he was in. He had all his tools in his right shuriken pouch that has a storage seal in it. Naruto had a seal on his right wrist that held his sword Fushigiri in it. Naruto was wearing a black long-sleeved shirt with a grey lightweight vest over the shirt. On his arms were grey forearm guards; his legs, dark blue pants, and opened blue toes sandals. Naruto knocked on the door as Iruka opened the door. Iruka is a man of average height and build. He has brown hair that he keeps in a ponytail, dark eyes and a scar that runs across the bridge of his nose. He is wearing the standard Konoha shinobi outfit complete with forehead protector, sandals, and flak jacket. His sleeves are also rolled up about ¼ way, "Hello sir are you Iruka? I'm the transfer students that Jiji-san told you about."
"Jiji-san… transfer students wait Hokage-sama has another grandson?" Iruka said confused.
"No, he is like my Jiji-san my Kaa-chan dubbed him my Jiji-san here." Naruto has him a scroll that is his bio for Iruka to read. Also reasoning why Naruto is allowed to join the academy so late. Iruka allowed Naruto in as he began to read the scroll as he froze before he said anything else. His eyes were glued to the paper until Naruto spoke up, "Iruka-Sensei is everything alright?"
"Iruka-Sensei who is this kid!?" A boy with a grey hoodie and a dog spoke up.
Ino saw Naruto said, "Hey! You're that kid who came into my shop the other day! Naruto right!?" Ino said shocked not believing that Naruto was in her class.
"Yo!" Naruto waved to her as he said, "I'm." Naruto was cut off by Iruka.
"Naruto… Naruto Senju." Iruka said with shock and awe in his voice.
The entire class went silent, not even a cricket was chirping, "W-what!? That's impossible! Tsunade-sama is the only S-Senju… l-left." A girl with pink hair stopped talking as she saw the shade of Naruto's hair. His eyes and nose seemed to resemble the legendary Sannin.
"Yup, she is my Kaa-chan and my Nee-chan is her apprentice Shizune!" Naruto smiled, "Well it's a pleasure to meet you all of you. I hope we all get along!" Naruto bowed to his classmates as he saw a boy with black hair and a blue outfit.
Sasuke the last Uchiha heir sat there looking at Naruto. "Wait!? Why is he allowed to skip all the years of torture…" Iruka glared at Kiba, "I-I mean very helpful and influential teachings from my awesome teacher!"
"Well you see here… he was personally trained by Tsunade-sama along with Jiraiya-sama." Iruka looked at Naruto as he waved back at him, "I-I think can qualify to skip the academy years… just how much did they teach you?" Iruka asked.
"Just about everything including medical ninjutsu and more." Naruto smiled, "Kaa-chan and Nee-chan drilled my studies into my head. I hated it, but I did it for them." Naruto rubbed the back of his head letting a chuckle out and a big grin on his face. The girls in the room couldn't help but smile and blush looking at Naruto. Ino couldn't believe she was blushing too, "That smile! Sasuke-kun never smiles…can Naruto actually be cuter than Sasuke-kun?"
"W-Well umm we'll begin shortly… Mizuki can help me hand out the papers. Naruto you can find a seat where you can" Iruka made his way towards his desk and handed Mizuki papers. Naruto looked up and saw a spot by the window. There was a girl who seemed to be about his age sitting there. She appears to be about twelve or eleven with back-length silver hair that features a long braid on each side with small blue bows at the ends, while the rest is up in a single long ponytail with a pink scrunchie. She also has red eyes that seemed to pierce Naruto's soul.
Her outfit is a black shirt with golden-caramel accents at the edges of the shirt and spread horizontally near the bottom, with two light golden trims going down the shirt; and the shirt splits slightly above her stomach, exposing her midriff. Around her neck and shoulders is a long, cyan scarf made from light material that reaches her hips. Her jeans are blue, with a white outline at the top. (A/N: Just search of Grayfia Lucifuge on DxD Fandom. I'm using that outfit with and look with her red eyes. I prefer her red eyes than the gray).
Naruto had to admit she was pretty and cute. She was only an inch or two smaller than him. She clearly was a bit more developed than the others like the Hyuga Heiress. Naruto sat down and smiled, "The name is Senju Naruto as you heard. What's your name?" Naruto extended his hand out to greet her.
The girl had a small smile appear on her face, "The name is Grayfia… Grayfia Lucifuge". The now named Grayfia accepted Naruto's handshake as they got ready to take the test. (A/N: Grayfia's true name is Grayfia Akuma, and Akuma means devil)
Soon Iruka and Mitsuki handed out the exams and everyone began writing. Naruto felt something off about him his chakra reeked of something else. Right now, he was confused, but his chakra seemed to have a hint of betrayal. Naruto shook his head and began to take the test.
After a little while, they finished up the tests and Iruka quickly graded them with Mitsuki. After a few minutes, the tests were passed back to everyone. Some groaned others cheered, and others let a sigh of relief out. Iruka proudly said, "I'm glad some of you are satisfied with your scores. Don't worry we still have a taijutsu spar to see how far you've grown, then shuriken and kunai target exam, and then the three ninjutsu exam." Iruka began to read through the scores, "Our highest score on the exam was actually a tie. Sakura Haruno and Naruto Senju scored a perfect 100." Iruka nodded his head proudly at them. Everyone just looked at Naruto as he shrugged his shoulders, "The next second spot was a tie with Grayfia and Hinata, then Sasuke the rest."
"Alright everyone let's head out for the spar exams." Mitsuki gestured everyone to follow him.
Once they got outside Naruto, they read off the fights and spars between one another. However, there was a late contestant as Hiruzen came walking up, "Iruka-kun, Mitsuki-kun I brought you guys here another student."
Naruto's eyes widen, "IRINA!?" Naruto shouted shocked.
Irina recognized Naruto from the group and ran over, "Yeah it is! Like I said I came here to beat you and show you just how much stronger I've gotten!" Irina definitely grew up, her hair was still in twin tails. She also seemed to have the same figure as Grayfia too, also has grown up since then. Sakura, Ino, and the rest of the fangirls couldn't help but glare at another well-endowed girl for joining their class.
"What about the written?" Iruka said confused.
"I had my secretary test her, she did enough to pass." Hiruzen nodded his head as Iruka and Mitsuki accepted it.
Soon the Kage disappeared in a Shushin as Iruka turned to the others, "Alright first up we will have Grayfia vs. Sakura, Ino vs. Hinata. Sasuke vs. Naruto. Kiba vs. Shikamaru." Iruka read off the other names as many groans or got pumped up.
Sasuke looked at Naruto, "You better not hold back Senju."
"I wouldn't have it any other way," Naruto smirked at Sasuke wondering how strong he was. Naruto knows of the Uchiha and Senju clan rivalry.
Grayfia and Sakura were facing one another ready to fight. They both made the sign of peace between one another, "Alright only Taijutsu Hajime!" Iruka threw his arm down.
Sakura wanting to impress Sasuke ran forward ready to punch Grayfia. However, Grayfia easily dodged her attack. Grayfia easily dodged her punches and kicks. Naruto noticed the way she fought, Grayfia glided like water, but was strong and study like ice. Grayfia quickly grabbed Sakura's arm and pinned it behind her. Grayfia said with a monotone, "Submit."
Sakura was unable to do anything as she let a sigh out and said, "I submit."
"Shosha Grayfia Lucifuge!" Iruka called out as everyone wasn't surprised especially Naruto. He could tell that Grayfia seemed to have some sort of training. If anything Naruto is sensing a lot of distance from Grayfia.
Grayfia went off to the side as Naruto walked up to her, "Hey great job Grayfia-chan! You really know how to fight! Where did you learn it from?" Naruto asked curiously.
Grayfia was a little shocked at Naruto's approach as she said, "I-I learned it thanks to Kurenai-Sensei, though that was after that."
"Oh, I'm sorry to bring up sour memories." Naruto then tried to change the subject, "I know how about after we pass you and I grab some lunch! My treat huh!?"
Grayfia asked, "Why?"
"We're friends, aren't we?" Naruto had a big grin on his face as Grayfia couldn't help but stare him shocked. Never before has anyone tried to approach her but Kurenai. If anything, Grayfia was kinda alone since Kurenai brought her here.
"I-I guess… I don't see why not." Grayfia smiled and thought that Naruto was kind but was a little worried.
After they finished talking Hinata has already beaten Ino pretty quickly. This shocked Naruto a bit because she is an heiress to the Yamanaka clan. So was Hinata, but Ino should have put up a better fight though. That was until Ino joined Sakura, that's when Naruto noticed all the girls around Sasuke. That included Ino which meant, "Fangirls." Naruto mumbled as Grayfia nodded her head upset too.
"Alright, Naruto vs. Sasuke," Iruka called them up with his clipboard ready to assess them.
Sasuke asked, "Is it alright if we use our clan's taijutsu or whatever we trained in? I want to beat him at his best, not the academy taijutsu."
"Naruto are you okay with this?" Iruka looked at Naruto.
"Yeah, I'm all cool with it, but I suggest everyone take a few steps back. Hell, probably even five feet back." Naruto got ready to fight Sasuke with his hands ready to fight as the two both made the peace hand seal between one another.
"Alright! Hajime!" Iruka shouted as the two charged at one another.
They both clashed as their forearms began to rattle because of the impact. Naruto began to go on the defensive when Sasuke was attacking. Naruto dodged a lot of his attacks, but Sasuke pulled a fain. Sasuke quickly spun in the air clockwise and went to kick Naruto using his momentum to add a punch. Naruto quickly brought up his right arm blocking Sasuke's attack. However, this forced Naruto to slide back at the attack. All the fangirls were cooing at Sasuke's cool and strong attack. Naruto smirked, "Man you hit pretty hard." Naruto smirked as he rushed forward as Sasuke prepared himself from Naruto's attack. Naruto threw a few quick punches that were quick and fast.
Sasuke did what he could to dip and dodge, just then Naruto threw a faint. Sasuke knew to keep his guard up. Well, that would work if he could have predicted that Naruto was doing. Naruto quickly spun around clockwise imitating Sasuke's attack from earlier, "W-What!?" Sasuke quickly backed up avoiding Naruto's attack. However, Naruto adjusted his body and twisted his body in midair. Iruka and the others watched in shock no how Naruto could make a missed attack do something. Naruto quickly brought his foot down on the ground causing the earth underneath Sasuke to push up and launched him at a tree.
Sasuke hit the tree as he rubbed the back of his head. Just then he snapped his eyes open and narrowly dodged Naruto's punch that was just mere inches from his fist. Naruto smirked and said, "Submit." Naruto looked at the tree that Sasuke was up against.
Sasuke turned his head to the right to see Naruto's fist just past his head. Then he saw the tree, Naruto punch was so hard he ripped the top part of the tree and sent it into the fence of the academy. Iruka and the other kid's eyes widen, "HE HAS TSUNADE-SAMA'S SUPERHUMAN STRENGTH!" Mitsuki couldn't help but feel threatened by Naruto's level of strength. To think that he inherited her strength could only mean that he would eventually surpass his mother in strength too. Sasuke clicked his tongue in defeat, "Tch… I submit." Sasuke looked at Naruto and stood up and walked to the side.
The girls couldn't believe that Naruto beat their Sasuke-kun, "Wow… he beat Sasuke-kun… I didn't think he could lose." Sasuke said in shock as Naruto went and walked back over to Grayfia's side.
"Yeah… to think he is that strong." Another girl mentioned.
"Well, he is the son of Tsunade." Another girl mentioned as they all nodded their heads.
Naruto heard that and grit his teeth a bit, "Dammit I did that though… I worked my ass off to get that strong." Naruto let a sigh out as Grayfia said, "It's okay Naruto, you may have your mother's strength but you worked for it."
"Well yeah, she drilled in a lot of strength training drills. Along with her crazy chakra control methods." Naruto let a laugh out, "What about you? I'm assuming you trained for your strength."
"Yeah… I wish I would have." Grayfia whispered the last part upset as Naruto caught that and felt the change in her emotions. "Wonder what she could be upset about?"
Iruka continued with everyone did the shuriken and kunai test. Naruto passed that with no issue at all, scoring 20/20 for shuriken and kunai. Naruto tossed the twenty shurikens and kunai at the same time hitting the target dead center. Sasuke did the same as they both tied in that test.
Soon came the Clone, Transformation, and the substitution jutsu. Naruto went in as Iruka and Mitsuki were waiting for him to do so. Naruto went ahead and did all three at the same time, Naruto made a shadow clone. Clone A transformed into Hiruzen, then he substituted himself with Hiruzen. Iruka and Mitsuki saw Hiruzen with his book in his face, "Ahahah Shina-chan you naughty girl eheheheh." Hiruzen giggled into his perverted book.
"Uhh Hokage-sama." Iruka said in shock.
Hiruzen removed his face from the book and looked around. Then he saw Naruto standing there waving at him, "Sup Jiji-san! Man, that looks like an interesting book! I bet Kaa-chan would love to hear about it!" Naruto may have been waving at him, but Naruto had a sickly smile on his face.
Hiruzen couldn't help but feel as if he was choking a bit as the air tensed up, "Uhhh I got important business Naruto-kun. Iruka… Mitsuki as you were." Hiruzen put the book away and coughed into his had disappearing in a Shushin.
Iruka shook his head and smiled throwing Naruto his headband, "Congrats Naruto you're officially a Genin of Konoha. I'm sure your proud of how far you've made it." Iruka could see how Naruto, to be compared to his mother and his great grandfather and Great Uncle. It can't be easy trying to live up to their names and legendary status.
"Thank Iruka Sensei!" Naruto went running out as he tied it on his forehead with a smile on his face.
Once everyone finished up and Iruka came walking out, "Alright everyone, tomorrow we meet back here to assign your teams for 9:00 am. I hope you are all proud of how far you've come. I can't wait to see how far everyone goes!" Iruka waved by as he headed back inside proud of the passing Genins.
Naruto ran next to Grayfia and smirked, "Come on I'm starving! Hey, any of you guys want to join. I'm going to Ichiraku with Grayfia!"
The other girls didn't say anything, but Shikamaru, Choji, and Ino agreed to go. Sakura noted that Ino seemed that she was straying away from the Sasuke fan club. The group walked over and got to know one another. Everyone knew Grayfia, but Naruto didn't know everyone, "Hey what's up so it's a pleasure to meet you guys officially!" Naruto waved to them.
"Tch troublesome blondes." Shikamaru let a sigh out, "I'm Shikamaru Nara." Shikamaru has narrow brown eyes and a typical expression suggesting he is either bored or irritated. He has shoulder-length black hair tied in a spiky ponytail. Shikamaru is wearing a short-sleeved grey jacket with green-edged sleeves and the rudimentary Nara clan symbol on the back, under which is a green-lined mesh armor T-shirt. He also wears brown pants, a pair of his clan's traditional silver hoop earrings, and wears his blue forehead protector around his left arm.
"Nice to meet you I'm Choji Akimichi!" The now named Choji handed Naruto a bag of chip, "Ya want one?"
"Sure!" Naruto accepted the gesture and ate a chip, "Woah! This barbeque flavored chips?" Naruto liked the flavor.
"Yeah, glad to see another guy knows his snacks!" Choji was happy that Naruto didn't comment or care about Choji's size. Choji has a rotund build and markings on his cheeks in the form of swirls. He has spiky, brown hair that sticks upward. Choji sports a green, short-sleeved haori with a long, white scarf over a white shirt with the kanji for, 'Food'. He also is wearing black shorts, hoop earrings, and bandages around his legs and forearms. His blue forehead protector was styled in a manner that allowed two tufts of hair to poke out at each side.
"Well you know who I am I'm Ino!" Ino couldn't help but smile while they all were introducing one another. Ino didn't know why but she was finding Naruto to be a way more interesting boy that Sasuke.
Grayfia introduced herself, "I'm Grayfia Lucifuge." Grayfia didn't talk much to the others, she would make small talk with Kurenai only. Grayfia was relatively quiet and stayed silent.
The group went to Ichiraku ramen and got to know one another better. Learning a lot about one another, Shikamaru like watching clouds, Choji liked eating, and well Ino liked flowers and a lot of other things. Naruto tried to get Grayfia to open up as she said, "Well I guess I like Kurenai-Sensei… I mean she been there since." Grayfia remembered her past as her eyes darted to the side.
Naruto smiled, "It's okay Grayfia you don't have to tell us anything. We're your friends we'll be here for ya if you need us." Naruto placed a hand on her shoulder as Grayfia quickly jerked her should back.
Naruto sensed a hint of fear in her chakra and could see it in her eyes, "I-I'm sorry, I-I just a little worried that's all." Grayfia tried to relax but was tense and Naruto and the other saw it.
"How about I walk ya home, you don't have to continue hanging out with all of us." Naruto extended his hand out for Grayfia to take.
Grayfia nodded her head as she grabbed his hand and the two began to walk away, "T-Thank you I was a little… uncomfortable." Grayfia looked at Naruto in the face as she was confused about why he was being so helpful.
"What's there to be uncomfortable for? They're your friends, aren't they?" Naruto looked at her confused as he could tell there was something wrong with her.
Grayfia said, "T-That's a personal reason why." Grayfia could only shudder at the memories of her past, not the easiest to bear.
"Well, when we're true friends you can tell me when you're ready." Naruto smiled as he looked at Grayfia, "Once your ready and you can tell me, I got a secret of my own I can tell you too." Naruto gently grabbed her hand trying to show that everything was going to be okay, "Grayfia I don't know what you went through. I can't imagine it was easy, I can sense emotions yours are everywhere." Naruto looked at the sun in the sky as it was about three o'clock.
Grayfia didn't say anything until Kurenai laned beside them, "Ah Grayfia what are you doing here? Oh, who's your friend?" Kurenai already knew who Naruto was but she was confused about why he was with her.
"This is Naruto… Naruto Senju, he sat next to me during the exams and talked to me afterward. He keeps talking to me and is acting like my friend." Grayfia said with a monotone voice with a hint of annoyance.
"Ah! I'm hurt by that!" Naruto held his hand over his heart as he laughed, "Come on Grayfia don't be like that." Naruto let a huff out as he looked up at Kurenai and then back at Grayfia, "Grayfia talks a lot about you Kurenai-Sensei, I promise you that I won't do anything to her. I just want to be her friend." Naruto waved to her, "Well I'll see ya tomorrow Grayfia!" Naruto began walking away towards his temporary apartment.
Grayfia didn't understand why was he trying to be her friend. Then tried the others to be her friends too. They were just going to learn who she is later anyways, just like the villagers they were going to turn on her. Even the kids did so, her friend she thought cared for her, betrayed her. Left her and her father to die, she left her father to die. In the end, she ended up killing everyone in that village, "Why does he try to be my friend… he'll leave or betray me once he learns who I am. You and Tou-san were the only ones who accepted me… I don't need more friends I just need to be left alone to protect you Kurenai-Sensei. I owe you my life for saving me and taking me in as your Imouto."
Kurenai shook her head, "Grayfia don't you worry your little head about that. What have I told you making friends isn't bad, I doubt they'll leave you. Naruto and the others don't seem like the people to abandon their friends or comrades."
"I'm an Akuma member when this village and others learn who I really am. They'll come after me and try to kill me. There might not be any documentation of our clan's existence left, but somehow they always find a way to figure out who and what I am." Grayfia looked at the ground as she closed her eyes.
Kurenai shook her head, "You'll learn one-day Grayfia, not all people are bad. Not all kids and adults, are bad." "Come on let's head home for the day." Kurenai ruffled Grayfia's hair as she glared up at her.
"Kurenai-Nee you know I don't like it when you mess with my hair," Grayfia said coldly as she fixed her braids and her ponytail.
"Come on Mrs. Loner let's go home." Kurenai began walking back as Grayfia began following her back, "Kinda hate hoe she lives for me and not herself. I hope she learns that she also needs to survive for herself and let others into her heart. Otherwise, you'll never make it in the Ninja world. Even if you do, you'll be alone for the rest of your life, I don't want you to be like that."
With Naruto
Naruto made his way back home after using a shadow clone that he was going to go home. It was bothering Naruto on who Grayfia was. Grayfia seemed to have a huge issue trusting others and felt uncomfortable with multiple people. Naruto shook his head, "Well I hope we can become friends, if not that be a shame. She seems like a nice person."
Just then the Nine-Tails spoke up, "That girl… I've felt her type of chakra before. All I'll tell is she is the clan known as, 'Tailed Beast Spawn'." The nine tails then went back to sleep leaving Naruto with that information.
Naruto scratched his cheek and shrugged his shoulders. He has never known any clan known as that before, but it made Naruto wonder. Who is Grayfia and what caused her to close herself off from others? Clearly hanging out with other people makes her uncomfortable and upset. Naruto decided to head to bed and maybe learn more about Grayfia tomorrow. For whatever reason, she seems to be on his mind. To think that he met a lot of new people and he wants to be friends with everyone. Now the only thing he could think of is why is trying to keep herself distant from others? "I'll figure this out some other day or when it's time. Everyone has their secrets, faults, and demons."
"Literally you have a demon inside of you." The Nine Tails chuckled as Naruto just rolled his eyes and went to bed.
Next Day
Naruto arrived at the academy room they were in yesterday. He found that dog boy from yesterday trying to talk to Grayfia. That was until he noticed that Grayfia was currently annoyed by Kiba, "Please go away." Grayfia said as Kiba ignored her request.
"Come on don't be like that Grayfia, we've might have not known one another that well. However, that doesn't mean we can't start now. Besides, I want to show you that I'm way better than that Senju and the Uchiha." Kiba pointed to himself trying to make himself sound better.
"No thanks now go," Grayfia stated again by looking at the window. '
"Come on don't be like." Kiba went to grab her wrist, but a hand stopped his. Grayfia noticed and looked to find that Naruto grabbed his wrist.
"W-What? Senju what are you doing here?" Kiba let a low growl out annoyed that Naruto was here. It already annoyed him that Naruto scored the highest on the exam, and all the other exams too. He wasn't even there from the beginning in the academy which bugged the hell out of the Inuzuka heir.
"She said to leave her alone, besides Iruka-Sensei is here." Naruto let go and took his seat next to Grayfia, she wasn't complaining because he wasn't trying to force her or grab her. Okay, maybe Naruto was a little bit too forward, but he wasn't aggressive like Kiba was being. Naruto said, "You alright Grayfia?" Naruto asked leaning his head forward towards the front of their desk making sure to give Grayfia her space.
"Y-Yes… thank you." Grayfia looked forward paying attention to Iruka.
"Alright, everyone! Today I'm glad to announce that the top Rookie of the year is Sasuke Uchiha! The Kunoichi of the year is Grayfia Lucifuge!" Iruka looked at Sasuke proudly.
"HA! Look at that Senju it seems you aren't so special after all." Kiba pointed laughing at Naruto, though he was the only one laughing.
"Kiba! Just to let you know if Naruto would have attended all the same years as you did. He would have been Rookie of the year. He scored and did better in the exams than you did. So I wouldn't be talking if I were you." Iruka scolded the Inuzuka heir, Iruka wondered if his mom could help him get him off his high horse.
"It's okay Iruka-Sensei titles don't mean much if you can't even back it up. If anything, they're just empty labels that don't do anything." Naruto shrugged his shoulders as Iruka nodded his head knowing Naruto acted maturely about it.
"Anyways I will be naming off all the teams for this year along with your Johnin Sensei." Iruka pulled out his sheet. He read off some names until he got to team 7, "Team 7 will be Sasuke Uchiha, Naruto Senju, and Grayfia Lucifuge. Your Johnin Sensei is Kakashi Hatake." Ino didn't really say anything meanwhile Sakura slammed her face on the table upset, "Team 8 is a special case since we have an even number this year. Team eight is Hinata Hyuga, Kiba Inuzuka, Shino Aburame, and Sakura Haruno. Your Johnin Sensei is Yuki Kurenai" Iruka flipped the page, "Team 10 is Shikamaru, Ino, and Choji. Your Johnin Sensei is Asuma Sarutobi." Iruka went over the other teams, once he finished the Johnin Senseis came walking in.
Everyone left as team 7 was left. Naruto, Sasuke, and Grayfia were in the room by themselves for Kakashi to arrive. Naruto scratched his neck and stood up, "Hey head up to the roof, I know where Kakashi is. Typically though he is three hours late to everything."
Grayfia and Sasuke said nothing, either they wait three hours, or Naruto tries to go find Kakashi. The two began to make their way to the top as Naruto found Kakashi sitting in a tree, "Yo what's up Kakashi-sensei… should I say Ero-KopiKashi" Naruto smirked as Kakashi glared at him.
"You are not calling me that." Kakashi already knew this was going to be a pain.
"Come on we're not waiting three hours for your lazy ass." Naruto crossed his arms as Kakashi saw a flame in Naruto's eyes light up.
Kakashi realized he was eyeing his Icha-Icha book, "You wouldn't" Kakashi said putting his book away.
"Ooooh, I will so you better keep that smut book out of my sight." Naruto disappeared in a shushin towards the roof of the academy.
Kakashi let a sigh out, "This should be an interesting team to train, let's just see how they work together." Kakashi also hopped over to the roof of the academy to greet his students a little earlier than he normally would of. He sat down as everyone else was already sitting there, to begin with, "Alright everyone, since someone decided to come to find me." Kakashi looked at Naruto as Naruto waved at him as if nothing happened, "Well how about we start by introducing ourselves, let's say our likes, dislikes, and dreams? Since you bothered me you go first blonde."
Naruto chuckled as he brought his legs up so his hand can rest on his feet, "I'm Naruto Senju! I like my Kaa-chan, Nee-chan, I guess I kinda like Ero-Sennin. I like planting and gardening; I like our pet pig Tonton. I like training, learning about the human anatomy, and going over medical lessons with Nee-chan. Oh I also like using my sword!" Naruto unsealed his sword from his wrist and then sealed it back up. "Hmmm, so he picked up Kenjutsu huh? Just who is this Naruto? He reminds me of someone… but I don't know who." Kakashi thought to himself, it was on the tip of his tongue. "I hate people who gawk at my Kaa-chan and Nee-chan, especially when a certain perverted sage says things. Along with his stupid pervy books of smut." Naruto glared at Kakashi's book.
"They aren't smut, they're a work of literature," Kakashi said with his one eye closed along with his pointer finger up trying to prove a point.
"Smut is smut, anyways I hate people to betray others, traitors in general, and people who leave their comrades behind. Probably the only few useful things Ero-Sennin taught me. As for my dream, I wish to be known as Naruto. Not the son of a Sannin, or the son of Tsunade the Slug Princess, or the Great Grandson and Great Nephew of the Shodai and Nidaime respectively." Naruto crossed his arms seriously, "I want everyone to know that I trained for the level I'm at. This wasn't because I'm related to them, I worked to where I am now." Naruto got rid of his playful and carefree attitude and made himself sound serious. Kakashi could only nod respectively, he understood what Naruto meant.
Kakashi then turned to Grayfia, "Your next albino." Kakashi eyed Grayfia as she kept a neutral face, "Hmmm not a lot of emotions huh… no… rather she doesn't show them. Kurenai even told me that she tries to stay distant, she had to even argue with Grayfia to join the academy."
"I'm Grayfia Lucifuge, I don't like too many things except Kurenai-Sensei. Dislikes are people in general, I don't trust others very well. As for dreams… all I want to do is stay by Kurenai-Sensei's side. I guess being able to help fight with her and protect her." Grayfia ended her introduction by looking at the ground.
"You next Emo." Kakashi turned to Sasuke as Sasuke had his elbows on his thighs and his hands underneath his chin.
Sasuke began, "I'm Sasuke Uchiha… I don't like a lot of things; I also dislike a lot of things. As for dreams… no, I'll make it into a reality. I will kill him." "Hmmm I see, still revenge-driven. Well, I'm not surprised honestly, with all that he went through and what his brother did to him."
"Well that was great everyone, why don't we." Kakashi was cut off.
"Cyclops why don't you introduce yourself?" Naruto chuckled, he liked cyclops a little better.
Kakashi glared at him but he shrugged his shoulders and spoke, "I'm Kakashi Hatake, likes… I have a few, dislikes, I have a few, as for dreams… well not many."
"All we learned was your name." Sasuke's eyebrow couldn't help but twitch.
"He is Kakashi Hatake, known as the Copycat Ninja. You'll learn later, he was a student under the Yodaime Hokage. His father was Sakumo Hatake, also known as the White Fang of the Leaf. His likes are salt-broiled saury and eggplant-mixed miso soup, while his least favorites are anything fried or sweet." Naruto smirked as Kakashi one eye widens at the Senju, "Kakashi you should really lay off the fan letter you send to Ero-Sennin all the time."
Kakashi shook his head as he let a sigh out, "Anyways, now that you graduated from the academy class. Tomorrow you'll have a real test to see if you become Genin." Kakashi waited for them to complain or say anything. However, they all stayed quiet as Kakashi continued, "Be there at training ground 7 for 9:00 am. Also, for the test, there is only about a 33% chance you'll pass. If not, you'll be put back in the academy. I also suggest not eating breakfast, otherwise, you'll puke it up." Kakashi disappeared in a Shushin.
Sasuke stood up and went to leave as Naruto said, "Don't listen to what Kakashi said. He has a nasty habit of being late. Be at training ground 7 by noon, make sure to eat breakfast or you'll have a hard time molding chakra." Naruto let Sasuke leave not wanting to bother him. However, Grayfia still sat there, "Is there something wrong Grayfia?" Naruto looked at her confused.
Grayfia shook her head as she stood up, "You need to know something, I want you to stay away. Otherwise, you're just going to get hurt if you get in my way." Grayfia began to walk away as Naruto scratched his head. Grayfia had to give it to Naruto that he tried to be her friend. Grayfia is appreciative of that, though she doesn't want to see Naruto get hurt.
"Hey." Naruto called out which Grayfia stopped and turned around, "You don't need to shut yourself off ya know. I can see that you care, everyone needs a friend Grayfia." Naruto walked up next to her as he said, "Why don't we go somewhere a bit more private. We can talk and get to know one another." Naruto smiled as Grayfia stared at Naruto still confused, "Here take my hand." Naruto offered his hand as Grayfia nervously took it. Naruto took them to the top of the Hokage Moutai. He sat down on top of his father's head, "I won't force you, but it would be nice to learn who you are Grayfia. Sasuke I could feel that he didn't want to be bothered. So, I left him alone. However, I could feel that you yearn for a friend."
"I-I don't know the only person I trust is Kurenai-Sensei." Grayfia turned her head to the side looking at the ground.
"You know, you are agreeing just to come here shows that there is something I can work with." Naruto smiled as he looked on the head he was sitting on, "You know trusting a lot of people is hard. I know how you feel, my Kaa-chan was pretty strict on that. I didn't make a lot of friends and trusting others wasn't even an option for me."
"I need to know why do you even try?" Grayfia said as she looked down at the head of Hiruzen Sarutobi. Maybe he wasn't bad, but he reminds her too much of her father, "If you knew what I was… I could be considered a demon."
Naruto let a small chuckle out as he couldn't hold it. Grayfia had an upset look on her face, then Naruto quickly waved his hand, "No! No! I'm not laughing about that." Naruto smiled as he closed his eyes and remembered what Shizune once told him. The day he learned what the bees and the birds were.
Flashback
"That's gross Nee-chan! Why do we need to learn this weird stuff! Wait!? If I love you Nee-chan does that mean I have to!" Naruto began to freak out a little bit as Shizune slapped herself in the face.
"Naruto you may be really smart, but seriously you can be really dumb sometimes." Shizune placed a soft kiss on his head, "I am your Nee-chan and always will be. You have to learn the birds and the bees because that leads to romance and love one day Naruto. You going to learn what love is one day. Maybe if it isn't even loved, you found a friendship that could form with someone. It can be a guy or a girl, but when you do, they'll have to learn the real you."
"Wait you mean?" Naruto asked confused.
Shizune smiled, "Your friends are going to learn just who you really are. Any secrets you have you can share with them; if they don't judge you for it. Those are true friends Naruto, if that someone is a girl. She might be something more to you one day, thus learning the birds and the bees is important. I don't think Tsunade-Sensei wants to be an Obaa-chan just yet." Shizune let a giggle out as Naruto began to groan in annoyance.
End of Flashback
Naruto shook his head, "Grayfia, I don't care what you are. I'm your teammate second and your friend first. When your ready you can tell me who you really are. When you do, I'll tell you who I really am. I might be Naruto Senju, you might be Grayfia Lucifuge, but we're still kids, we're still human." Naruto turned to leave as he turned his head, "I'll see ya tomorrow, let's give it our all!" Naruto began to walk away as Kurenai landed next to Grayfia watching Naruto leave.
Kurenai asked, "So Grayfia does he seem like a nice teammate?" Kurenai placed a hand on Grayfia's shoulder.
"Kurenai-Nee I don't understand… why does keep trying to be my friend. I only need you Nee-chan, I won't hurt you. When I'm around you I can feel calm and my powers stay in control." Grayfia stared at both of her hands as memories back from the Land of Oni. The death of her father caused her bloodline limit to awaken freezing everyone's village. She was the only one that escaped that place because only she could move through the ice.
Kurenai smiled as she placed a hand on her head, "Naruto-kun I'm sure is trying to help you Grayfia. He wants to be your friend, I'm sure you won't kill him. Like I tell you, you are in control of your powers. Not me being here, I am not your medium that keeps you from losing control." Kurenai Shushined them back to her apartment. Grayfia walked over and sat on the couch, "Grayfia you can't rely on me all the time. You need to get over your fear of hurting others. You're going to have to hurt enemy ninja too, you're going to have to accept it. You need to rely on your team and your sensei." Kurenai crossed her arms as she looked at Grayfia.
Grayfia just looked at her hand as she lifted her hand up, so her palm faced the floor. Grayfia let her chakra gently trickle out her fingers as snow began to fall. Before the snowflakes could hit the ground they melted, "Why though… are friends that important?" Grayfia looked up at Kurenai.
"Yes, am I your friend?" Kurenai asked with a smile as she placed her hands on her hips.
"Of course, my friend Kurenai-Nee but your also my sister. I don't have other family besides you, you, and I guess Hokage-sama." Grayfia crossed her arms and placed both hands on her biceps worried.
Kurenai went over and sat down on the couch with Grayfia, "Grayfia I'm sure Naruto will do his best to protect you. I'm sure if you can prove to Sasuke too that you're strong. He will do his best to protect you too. Work together with your team, Kakashi will also make sure you're safe." Kurenai stood up and walked over to the kitchen to prepare dinner.
Grayfia released her grip on her arms and stared at her right hand. She sent chakra to her hand as ice formed on her hand making claws. Then they melted absorbing the used ice back into her hand, "Can I really use my powers to save than kill. Even if I have to kill my enemies to protect others, can I control my power."
Time Skip Next Day 11:50 am Training Ground 7
Naruto arrived at the training ground as he began to stretch and warm his muscles up. Naruto wondered what their test is going to be and hopefully pass the exam. Naruto then sensed Sasuke approach him, "I hope your prepared Senju, I don't want a weak team member."
Naruto smiled, "Don't worry I'm not weak, but correct me if I'm wrong. I'm pretty sure I floored your ass during our spar?" Naruto crossed his arms as Sasuke stood there with both his hands at his side.
If you looked hard enough, you could see the ghost of Hashirama behind Naruto and the ghost of Madara behind Sasuke. Behind those ghosts were Asura and Indra.
Just then Grayfia arrived as she said, "Afternoon." As Naruto and Sasuke looked towards her.
"Hey, afternoon Grayfia you ready!?" Naruto smiled as he felt his blood pumping and ready for the exam.
"Yes, I made sure to eat breakfast." Grayfia walked over and waited next to the boys for Kakashi to arrive.
Just then there was a yawn on the side as the three saw Irina from the other day there, "Hey what's up everyone!"
"Irina, what are you doing here?" Naruto asked curiously.
"Well after the exam at the academy I didn't have a team. So, I was told by Iruka-Sensei to go see the Hokage. Hokage-sama assigned me to team 7." Irina stood straight giving everyone a salute while her tongue poked out a bit on the side of her smiled, "I'm Irina Shidou! I like swords, training, trying to fight Naruto who is my rival! I dislike perverts, people who break their promises, and traitors!" Irina skipped over to Grayfia wanting to get to know her fellow female teammate.
Soon Kakashi arrived ready to give the test to his genin, "Sorry everyone a black cat crossed my path and."
"Blah, blah, blah, you took a long way around and got lost on the road of life." Naruto shook his head, "We all just got here not that long ago. Which reminds me why did you come so late Irina? You weren't there for me to tell you to come here later?" Naruto wanted to know how she got that information.
"Well I carry a bingo book on me, it even says that he is always three hours late. Hokage-sama told me to be here for 9:00 am." Irina giggled as Kakashi scratched his head.
"Wow just kill my fun why don't you two?" Kakashi adjusted his headband and cleared his throat, "Anyways today I'm giving you all a test." Kakashi holds up two bells, "Whoever gets these two bells will be saved. Given lunch to eat and will be passed to be Genin. The two who don't get a bell will be sent back. You all got an hour to get the bells." Kakashi walks over to three logs and places a clock down. He turns to them and says, "Now any questions?" Kakashi had his eyes closed not looking at his students.
"Well yeah actually." Irina went to ask her questions until Kakashi interrupted her.
"Alright begin!" Kakashi said as everyone disappeared into the trees as Irina was the only one standing there. She let out a raspberry blowing her bang out of her face as she disappeared into the bush as well. Kakashi eye smiled, "Wow not bad they can hide quite well… Sasuke." Kakashi knew he was at his six, "Irina." At his one, "Grayfia is hard to detect not bad." At his twelve, "Naruto… where is Naruto… woah not bad. I actually cannot sense him at all… interesting."
A/N: Alright! Yup, long chapter. Because after this I will be working on Ninja's Hero Academia story. It's been a while since I've updated that then I'm going to update Next Phenex Heir. If you guys want a small little back story about Grayfia here it is.
For Grayfia she is originated from the Land of Oni, a small hidden village hiding by surrounding mountains. They were a small village where a lot of people have gone insane or died there. Trying to get it is near impossible because of the beasts that live in the vast caves that lead to the outside. Only people who are Johnin level or higher could possibly get out. Grayfia's mother died at a young age unable to help raise Grayfia. Grayfia's father was a normal civilian who died at the hands of insane and angry villagers. Grayfia's father was attacked by angry villagers who learned of Grayfia's heritage as an Akuma clan member. Many went to kill her, but Grayfia's father sacrificed himself to save her. Allowing himself to be killed and told her to run away from the village and never return. While running away Grayfia's bloodline awakened freezing the entire village in a case of ice. No one inside survived never to be thawed out or saved. Grayfia was forced to survive a total of two weeks in those caves. Little water, little food, but she did kill monsters or beasts she found and ate them. Once she found her way out, she came across Konoha Shinobi, and Kurenai so happened to be one of those Shinobi who took Grayfia back to the leaf.
Grayfia Akuma (Alias: Grayfia Lucifuge) Age: 12
Blood Type: B
Clan: Akuma. A clan long forgot, there aren't many written documents or books on the clan. Their bloodline limit is Hyoki (Demon Ice). They can be related to the Yuki, clan but it's a different ability that far surpasses the Yuki Clan's Hyoton abilities. freeze people solid by a single touch of her finger. As long as she can overpower her enemy's chakra, she can freeze limbs, freeze blood flow, however, a major downside to their clan. They were hated, feared, and can be related closely to the tailed beasts in power. Most of the Akuma clan members go insane because of the amount of death the user sees. Leading them to go mad, they clan is also known as 'Tailed Beats Spawn'. The pinnacle power of an Akuma member is their Hyoki Mode. The power boost is unknown since there isn't any documentation. The power is unknown, the appearance, and the boost in power is unknown. Thus, their clan was fear and attacked and hunted down to be killed off. All the nations agreed back in the second great ninja war to eradicate them, seeing them too much of a threat to not be dealt with. Any members alive now would hide anything they have relating to their clan name. Some even go as far as disowning their clan name. The clan is highly dangerous and has a flee on sight or inform others to help take them down. Depending on the rank, S-Rank Shinobi, or higher needed to beat one or to make sure and confirm he or she is dead.
I hope that is a cool little clan history. Only Kurenai and Hiruzen know who Grayfia really is. Danzo and the rest of the village don't know who or what Grayfia is.
