AN: Since it is now Valentines Day, I thought I'd make another Molly x Libby fanfic to celebrate the holiday! I hope you like my new story!
The Best Valentines Day Ever
It is Valentines Day in Brighton, and Libby Stein-Torres woke up from her bed to enjoy her morning. After waking up, Libby got dressed in her usual green sweater, olive jeans, and gray boots. It wasn't long before Libby her heard mom call her from downstairs.
"Libby, can you come down here, please? There is someone special here to see you!"
"Someone special?" Libby muttered to herself. She didn't think about it too much as she called back. "I'm coming, Mom!"
Once she made her way downstairs, Libby was surprised to find out that the person who visited her was her girlfriend, Molly McGee.
"Molly!" Libby greeted Molly with a smile.
"Hi, Libby! Happy Valentines Day!" Molly exclaimed before she hugged Libby tightly.
With a smile, Libby hugged Molly back, happy to see her.
"Happy Valentines Day, Molly! It's so good to see you!"
After Molly and Libby let each other go, Molly reached into her backpack and pulled out a box of chocolates.
"This is for you Libby! It is a special gift for my special someone!"
With a blush, Libby gratefully accepted Molly's gift to her. As happy as Libby was with her gift, it was kind of embarrassing, knowing that her mom was here, watching the whole thing.
"Aww! That is so sweet of you, Molly!" Mrs. Stein-Torres exclaimed. "I can see why Libby likes to talk about you all the time!"
"Mom!" Libby covered her face in embarrassment.
Molly couldn't help but giggle at how Libby was reacting. She always thought that Libby looked pretty cute when she got this embarrassed.
"Anyway, there is an amusement park that opened up just today, and I was wondering if you would like to spend the day there with me, Libby." Molly offered.
At that moment, Libby took her hands off her face as she looked surprised by what Molly said.
"Oh, yeah. I think I've heard there was an amusement park being built." Libby remembered. "I would love to go with you, Molly!"
Despite how hard she tried to contain her excitement, Mrs. Stein-Torres just felt so happy that her daughter had a wonderful girlfriend like Molly.
"That's a kind offer, Molly! I would be more than happy to drive the cutest couple ever to the amusement park." Mrs. Stein-Torres offered.
Once again, Libby gave a slight blush at what her mom said. As much as Libby loves her mom, she could be a little embarrassing when it comes to talking about Libby and Molly as a couple.
After Libby finished eating breakfast, she and Molly got into the car as Mrs. Stein-Torres drove them to the amusement park. During the car ride, Molly scooted closer to Libby until she held on to her hand. Libby blushed before she held onto Molly's hand as well. Neither of them were aware that Mrs. Stein-Torres has been watching them from the mirror. They looked so cute together, but Mrs. Stein-Torres decided not to say anything to not ruin their moment.
After a few moments of waiting, Molly and Libby soon took notice of the amusement park. They both got excited before Libby's mom parked the car and dropped off the two friends.
"I'll be back to pick you up at around 5! Have fun, you two!" Libby's mom waved goodbye.
"Thank you, Mrs. Stein-Torres!" Molly thanked before she and Libby waved goodbye as Mrs. Stein-Torres drove back to the bookshop.
At that moment, Molly and Libby gazed up at the amusement park and were surprised by what they saw. The amusement park was bigger than they thought. As they walked through the park, they took notice of many rides and games. After getting over her surprise, Libby decided to speak to Molly.
"This is incredible, Molly! I guess Scratch didn't want to come along with us."
Molly shook her head. "Not really. Scratch doesn't like going to places that are fun and happy, so it's just you and me today! So, what would you like us to do first? Would you like to go on a ride?"
"Sure! I would like that!" Libby agreed with a smile.
Molly soon looked around the park until one ride in particular caught her attention. "Ooh! That one looks pretty fun!" She pointed to a really tall rollercoaster.
One look at the rollercoaster made Libby's eyes widen in terror. Libby wasn't the kind of person who liked fast and scary rides, so she had to decline.
"Um, maybe we should go on a calm and slow ride instead." Libby suggested.
"Oh, sure, Libby!" Molly said, noticing Libby's nervous body language. She knew that she needed to find a ride that she and Libby would both enjoy. After looking some more, she found the perfect ride. "Hey, does the Tunnel of Love sound like a good ride for you?"
Libby let out a surprised gasp before she replied, "Yes! I would really like that, Molly!"
Once they made their decision, the two friends waited in the line for a couple of moments. After waiting for what felt like forever, Molly and Libby finally made it to the front of the line.
"After you!" Molly moved to the side to let Libby enter the ride first.
Libby giggled before she got into the boat as Molly followed soon after. It was at that moment when Molly and Libby began their slow boat ride through the Tunnel of Love. Throughout the ride, Molly and Libby held each others hand, enjoying every second of being together. The ride soon came to an end and Molly and Libby got out before exploring the rest of the park.
It wasn't long before they reached the carnival games, and Molly took notice of a giant turtle plushie on one of the prize walls. Knowing how much Libby loves turtles, Molly thought she could win it for her.
"Would you like me to win that turtle plushie for you, Libby?" Molly pointed over to the plush.
Libby took notice of it and gasped in delight. "Oh, it's so cute! Do you think you can win it for me?"
"I know I can!" Molly confidently walked up to the stand and paid for one game.
In order to win the prize, Molly had to throw darts to pop as many balloons as possible. Before the game started, Molly took a deep breath as she began to focus.
"You can do it, Molly! Just remember that you are doing it for Libby!" Molly whispered to herself.
As soon as the game started, Molly threw as many darts as possible and popped balloon after balloon. With only a few seconds left, Molly took one more dart and popped the last balloon. The stand owner then handed the turtle plushie to Molly, who in turn gave it to Libby.
"Thank you, Molly! I love it so much!" Libby embraced Molly in a tight hug, to which Molly gave a slight blush in response.
The two friends spent the next couple of hours going on more rides and playing carnival games. It was at that point when they walked around the park, both of them holding heart shaped balloons.
"Today has been really fun! Thank you for the wonderful day, Molly!" Libby smiled.
"I had fun too, Libby! Is there any other ride you would like to go on before we leave?"
Libby took a moment to think. By this point, Molly and Libby had done nearly everything.
"Hmm. Have we gone on the ferris wheel yet?" Libby asked.
"No, we haven't." Molly realized. "That's a great idea, Libby! Let's go!"
The line for their last ride of the day wasn't as long as the other lines, so it only took them a few minutes to enter the ride. Molly and Libby began to relax before the ferris wheel carried them higher and higher until they could see the entire amusement park. The ferris wheel came to a stop and the two friends had a perfect view of the sunset.
Molly and Libby stared at the sunset in awe as this ended up being the perfect end to their day. After staring at the sunset for awhile, Molly briefly looked away to give a loving stare to Libby.
"What is it, Molly?" Libby asked, noticing Molly's stare.
"It's nothing. You just look so beautiful!" Molly replied.
Hearing this caused Libby give a shy smile. She stayed silent for a couple of moments before she said something Molly didn't expect.
"Molly, thank you."
"What for?" Molly asked.
"For everything. When we first met, you were the only one who wanted to be my friend. I've cherished every moment we spent together. The moment we became best friends after we became Wilder-Scouts and survived Howlin' Harriot, the moment you tried to give me the best bat mitzvah ever, and the moment we confessed our love for each other. I'm just so happy to have you in my life!"
Touched by Libby's words, Molly smiled back and said, "I'm happy to have you in my life too, Libby!"
It was by this point when Molly and Libby had their arms wrapped around each other as their cart slowly descended. With the ride over, the two friends walked over to the parking lot, where Libby's mom picked them up. It was a struggle for Libby to fit her turtle plushie in the car, but she eventually managed it.
"So, did you two have fun?" Mrs. Stein-Torres asked as she started the car.
"We did, Mom! Today was wonderful!" said Libby.
The ride back home took a couple of hours and it was soon nighttime. Once Mrs. Stein-Torres parked the car in front of the bookshop, Molly and Libby stepped out of the car so they could say goodbye to each other.
"Thank you for giving me the best day ever, Molly! It was wonderful!" Libby smiled.
"It was all worth it just to be with you, Libby! Well, I'd better get back home to my family, but there is one thing I want to do before I leave."
At that moment, Molly wrapped her arms around Libby before giving her a kiss on the lips. Libby happily kissed back before they eventually broke from the kiss.
"Happy Valentines Day, Libby!" said Molly.
"Happy Valentines Day, Molly!" Libby replied before waving goodbye as Molly returned home.
As Molly returned home, Libby was left lovestruck, much to her mother's amusement.
"It seems that you and Molly had a fun day today."
Her mom's words brought her back to reality before Libby nodded in agreement. "We did, Mom! It was the best Valentines Day ever!"
The End
