Chapter 16
WHAT'S UP GUYS! ITS ZAYDEN STORMVOID HERE AND WELCOME BACK TO ANOTHER CHAPTER OF WELCOME TO THE MCU! Last time we had the beginning of Captain America and today we will continue that with the second part.
But first, just curious but who here has seen Mortal Kombat and Demon Slayer? Because I did and both were Awesome! Demon Slayer gets the edge for hitting out of the park with story, action, and feels while Mortal Kombat has the gory, martial arts action down pat, but if you aren't a MK fan, and if even you were, the story would seem a little too fast paced and campy, but I still loved it and the epic fights and references. Which did you guys like? Also, who else is both excited yet concerned for Phase 4 of the MCU? Again, I will not be covering the movies of Phase 4 unless they are good and not woke, as I, and many others, fear them to be, especially after the news of WandaVision cutting Doctor Strange because 'he's a white male and no mansplaining' and Falcon and the Winter Soldier after the slightly preechy speech at the end and the news that they are going more into identity politics afterwards.
Now, starting a possible war in the comments aside, last time in the story we had, again, the beginning of Captain America: The First Avenger, where I would say it is the most controversial chapter that I have released thus far, especially concerning Tokage as Peggy Carter and Shigaraki as Red Skull. But just to get this out of the way, I already knew full well going into this that some of my choices weren't going to be well received by all and some would turn their noses on some choices, but I've made my decisions and only ask for you to level with me as the story and character choices progress because there may be characters that fit upon a different point of view, which is what I did with Shigaraki and Setsuna, and other character choices that perhaps make sense later. I chose to look at Setsuna as Peggy to connect with This universe of MHA, in canon MHA, Izuku and Setsuna don't know each other well and Izuku doesn't have a group of girls after him, but This alternate version of MHA does and I wanted the Setsuna and Carter comparison to reflect that, though it wasn't the only reason as there were comparisons between the two I already listed. I did the same for Shigaraki as Red Skull as I chose to focus on Shigaraki's relationship with Izuku, archenemies in the battle between One For All and All For One, two different halves, similar powers, rather than Shigaraki the main Villain.
Finishing trying to explain my reasons despite my aspergers, I know boo hoo, let's continue on with the reviews:
tacktician: You're two for two on how that hilarious scene will go down. Expect for Izuku to turn so red that it will be a wonder he doesn't pass out with all the blood rushing to his face. Also, Holy crap! I didn't know That's how much that shield costs! And yeah I think even Momo would flinch on a cost that high, and rest assured it Will be in the next chapter when it shows up. (The honor is mine for being granted the idea from you.)
TitanSolracer: Huh didn't know that, glad that the cultural respect made you glad too. Also, yeah in retrospect many of these choices were obvious from the start, and yeah, I thought that old Torino would be more appropriate for let's say another kind of teacher, one fitting his grumpiness. I found that Phillips as Death Arms would be a neat way to reference the beginning of MHA where Death Arms chastised Deku for trying to save Bakugou by having his counterpart have the same 'He's not strong enough' look towards Izuku's counterpart in Rogers. I had a feeling that Shigaraki as Skull was going to trip people up and I accepted that, can't please everybody but I gotta go where my creative juices flows and let no saltiness tell me where to go. As for Zemo, I won't say who will fill the apparently rich Baron's shoes this early on, but I can say that his MHA counterpart made a big impact in his own universe.
FShield96: Agree to disagree on our choices, but I hope that when we do get to Zemo that my choice for him still fits the 'made an impact on society role'. Also, yeah I guess I didn't catch that, my bad. And also, yeah 30k words was a doozy but I pushed through. I actually intended for it to end on Cap catching the Hydra agent, but since it was getting too long, I settled for ending on Erskine's death and Mad Cap.
OmnipotentAbsoluteUlGodzilla: Yep, made sense for the two super soldier archenemies to have their counterparts be archenemies as well, and what better than main boy Deku and itchy boy Shiggy. I will list reasons for Death Arms as Colonel Phillips and Garaki as Zola at the end notes of this chapter, since the last one was also getting too long for AO3. And yep, expect for Bakugou to get shit rained on him for his past blunders and I agree that regret doesn't constitute the same as an apology if you don't do something about it. I likewise laughed when I wrote that thirst scene, but you also forgot when Todoroki had to remind himself that he was straight. In the words of Bucky in the Screen Junkies Roast of Captain America: 'If you saw that scene and you didn't get hard, you're lying to yourselves. It just means your penis doesn't work. Its not even a sexual thing, its just your dick acknowledging the alpha male in the room.'
draconis ignitus: Well this Is the MCU remember? The only two Villains who had more than one time as the main Villain were Two in Loki and Thanos, so having some Villains seem 'wasted' was inevitable considering the number of one-and-done Villains. Not that I am saying that I Will do this as a definite, but I argue that having Endeavor as Ego Wouldn't undermine his redemption arc in the manga and story because having to look at yourself be an even shitty-er dad in another world as a 'what-if' scenario would probably serve to make Endeavor double his efforts to Not become like that. Sort of a looking at your future or alternate self and say 'I'm never going to ever become like you'. Again, not saying its a definite but its just something that I wanted to point out. Also, I agree that if Muscular were Obsidian that would be a nice touch, but didn't Cull get killed by Bruce with the Hulkbuster suit or were you talking about Endgame Cull where Spidey pulled him into Giant Man's boot? Also, yes I am aware of that theory, but I believe it was disproven in that the Shield that Old Man Cap gives to Sam is one from an alternate timeline that he came from, but I could be wrong.
Jamieoeyes: I did read this and while that would be a nice way to resolve the conundrum, I have no zero knowledge in how to do that. Plus, I also think that you, and likely other misinterpreted what I meant by flipping a coin to decide. I actually was using a psychology tactic used in an episode of the Big Bang Theory. In context, Sheldon was conflicted whether to buy a PS4 or Xbox One, so Amy decided to use a psychology tactic of flipping a coin, but instead of choosing which side the coin landed on, the results of the flip would reveal how Sheldon really feels, if it landed one side and he felt disappointed then he would have chosen the other because it was the one he wanted deep down. For me, this was the same with my own coin flip with Melissa and Setsuna. I had all the comparisons between the two, it was neck and neck, I had supporting opinions from you guys, but when I left it up to the coin toss, the results of it showed me what I actually wanted deep down. Sorry, if the choice ultimately doesn't suit you, but like others have said, you aren't the one typing the words or making the calls. While I appreciate the reviews and opinions you guys and gals give me, that is all they are, Opinions, opinions that take into account but ultimately leave the decision to my own in the end, and my only wish that you guys respect that and be cordial and decent to one another too.
With all those spicy reviews done and settled, here is the index:

Captain America Part 2: Duty Calls
Third POV
The group stared in both shock and unease at the sight before them. Izuku's body sparked in green lightning, coming off him like he was a miniature storm cloud, Black Whip oozed and slithered from his arms and shoulders like a demonic ghost spilling out of his body, and though most dismissed it as a trick of the lighting, except All Might and Gran Torino who the two stared in amazement in addition to their shock and unease, saw the green-haired teen floating an inch or so from his seat.
But the most unsettling part, if there was anymore ways to be unsettled, was his eyes. Covered in the shadows of his hair, his eyes shined through with blazing emerald light, revealing the sheer hatred and rage that permeated outward.
"D-Deku?" Uraraka uneasily asked.
The not-so-happy cinnamon roll paid no heed to her call, still staring at the screen, his teeth grinding.
"Izuku?" Melissa asked, placing her hands on Izuku's body hesitantly, but despite her touch, the successor of All Might paid her no need.
Eri stared at the man that she insistently called Papa with a look of not fear, that one would expect of a little girl like her, or unease, like the rest of the group, but with sadness and understanding. She bore witness to this version of her Papa when he saved her from Chisaki, the same rage and fury, she was on his back the whole time he defeated the monster. She knew full well not to be afraid of him, she knew this rage was only caused because of the old man's death in video.
'He's mad because that kind old man, who helped him, died.' Eri thought. 'He's hurt and sad.'
Eri placed her hand on Izuku's as it gripped the cracking armrest. Izuku's rage were taken by surprise and he turned to see Eri's small, sad smile.
"Papa, its okay." Eri said softly. "I'm sad too. I'm sorry that your friend went away."
Izuku felt another hand, this one of his other arm, he turned to see Kouta, unafraid and sad as well. The son of the Water Hose Heroes knew the feeling that Midoriya felt, the rage at having someone you care about taken away unfairly, killed by someone cruel and evil, the boy himself was drowning in that hatred. Until the day his Hero saved him, both from the monster that killed his parents and himself from his hate.
"I'm sorry too." Kouta said. "But can you please calm down. Please."
The last of his anger faded from Deku's eyes, the green lightning fading, the black ooze of Black Whip sinking back into his body, his floating body falling back subtly onto his seat. His enraged eyes replaced with realization and remorse.
"I-I'm sorry." Deku muttered weakly.
Eri and Kouta simply shook their head and hugged their Hero in reply. Deku's eyes widened for a bit before half-closing and hugging the two kids back.
Unbeknownst to the three having the moment was the tears that the girls and the more sensitive member of the group shed, balling at the tender sight, even Mount Lady and Midnight were cooing at the sight. The guys breathed a sigh of relief and smiled at the heartwarming sight in front of them, some even shedding a tear or two. Bakugou scoffed and mumbled "Cry baby" under his breathe before breaking his façade with a small smirk. Todoroki smiled a small smile, the tender scene of what was basically a father and his children reminding him more happy memories of him and his mother. Mirio watched the scene too with a big smile, happy to see how brave Eri was in quelling the storm that was Midoriya.
Even Aizawa and Endeavor watched the scene with reactions of their own. Aizawa hid a small smile, hidden by his scarf, at how brave Eri was in calming Midoriya, but frowned, pondering if perhaps the Problem Child would be best to have some counseling from Hound Dog. Endeavor meanwhile watched with an emotion he never would thought he would have towards a child: envy. The sight of what everyone could see as a father being hugged by his children was a feeling that the now Number 1 Hero, in his pursuit for a successor to surpass All Might, never had. The only thing that came close was Touya's admiration before his...change, and Fuyumi, always the optimist in wanting their family together again. But with Natsuo and Shoto...Endeavor frowned and hung his head in shame at his past failure as a father. He raised his head as he was all the more determined to redeem himself in his quest of his family reunited and happy.
And if it meant a life without him at their side, so be it.
All Might too smiled at the sight of his successor with the two kids that he saved, though frowned in worry at the anger that overtook Midoriya. Even against the Villains that Izuku has told him he faced, from the likes of Stain to Overhaul, the rage he showed at the death of friend, even if it was his other self's friend, was uncharacteristic of him. Midoriya didn't flew into a rage at Nighteye's death, only tears as he died.
'But that was in a hospital on Mirai's death bed, after the fighting was over and Chisaki was arrested.' Toshinori thought. 'And from what I could learn from how Izuku reacted afterwards in his final fight with Chisaki, it could be that that anger at his injury flowed out as well.'
The Symbol of Peace pondered if this new height of anger, anger that caused the activation of Black Whip and, what he assumed, was his Master Shimura's Float, was anger from the predecessor's inside Young Midoriya, he knew they were likely watching as well. Or perhaps this anger was always inside him, hidden and undealt with after a decade of bullying and torment, always festering inside his heart, and only now finally starting to rush up to the surface.
All Might made it a point to council the boy later.
After calming down and a series of blushing apologies from the Green Bean to the group for the interruption and unnecessary drama, they continued the video.
The assassin ran through the curtains of the shop, only to be halted by the old woman turning to face him with the gun hidden under her desk. The assassin was quick to fire his gun at the old woman, she gritted her teeth in pain as she pulled the trigger, falling down as the bullets fired to the ceiling and missing the assassin. The assassin rushed to the fallen woman's side, quick to grab the sub-machine gun from her dead hands.
The group glared at the assassin, Izuku's anger rising once again before he quickly calmed it down.
The assassin ran out of the store, pushing aside a pedestrian and shouted at a man in front of him. The man gestured for him to continue running as he pulled out his own gun and fired, two seeming random bystanders coming out from a corner and fired back as a woman shouted in fright at the commotion.
"There are more spies?" Kinoko questioned fearfully.
"Makes sense." Kendo replied. "He would definitely need a getaway driver and assist after stealing the serum and killing Erskine."
"And it looks like the American's also had hidden guards of their own outside the shop in case of something like this." Momo said.
The other spy was quickly shot and fell to the ground dead as the assassin got into a black car as it began to drive out into the road. The two men fired on the car only to be quickly mowed down by the sub-machine gun in the assassin's hands. The black car continued its drive away from the scene.
"He's getting away!" Pony exclaimed.
Carter ran out the store to see the car driving away.
"Not if other me has anything to say about it." Setsuna grinned.
The assassin hissed as he rubbed the shoulder he got shot in. He turned back to see Setsuna aiming her gun to fire, before pulling out his lighter/denotator and flick it once more, the black car behind her exploding into flames as Setsuna ducked.
"He destroyed her car to impede her from going after him." Iida said.
Carter quickly turned back to the escaping car, aimed her gun steadily and fired. The bullet went through the back windshield of the car and into the driver's shoulder. In a cry of pain, a spray of blood, and the front windshield cracked, the driver slumped dead the car veering and stopping with a crash into a silver car by the curb.
"Nice shot, Tokage." Vlad nodded in respect.
"Thanks, Teach." Setsuna thanked back. "Just like me, my other self has good eyes."
The assassin got out quickly as he looked towards the yellow taxi cab that stopped beside his car, the taxi driver asking "What are you doing? Buddy, are you okay?" The assassin got into the taxi as the driver looked at the dead driver of the black getaway car. "Hey, this guy's been shot!"
"No duh." Kamakiri scowled out. "Why show concern over a Nazi?"
"The man doesn't know he's a Nazi." Jurota said. "They are in New York City. For all he knew, he was just another fellow New Yorker that was killed."
The taxi drove forwards heading towards Setsuna as the agent lifted her gun again to aim. Setsuna fired her gun two times, both cracking the front wind shield but failing to hit her target as he shifted his body slightly. Setsuna remained in place as the car began getting close to her at full speed.
"What is she doing?!" Hagakure questioned.
"She's trying to shoot the assassin by any means." Ojiro replied. "Must take a lot of courage and discipline to continue firing on a car going straight for you."
"Even so, sometimes you need to get the Hell out of the way!" Mina yelled at the screen.
Izuku's eyes widened, his fingers fumbling nervously.
Just as the car was about to reach and she fired, Izuku dove in and pushed her away to safety, the new super soldier landing in a tumble beside her as the taxi continued to drive away.
"Yay! Papa to the rescue!" Eri cheered.
"Thanks, Greenie." Setsuna smiled at her fellow green-haired teen. "I owe you."
"N-No no, its not necessary." Izuku blushed at her smile and waved his hands in protest. "I-Its just what any decent person would do."
"I wouldn't really call you 'decent', Izuku." Melissa replied. "More like extraordinary."
While Izuku blushed at the compliment, Setsuna gritted her teeth. 'Bitch, that was My moment with Green Bean! Not yours!'
"I had him!" Carter yelled as she got up.
"I would say more that he was about to get you, but whatever." Sen said.
"Sorry!" Rogers said as got up himself and started to run for the taxi.
"Why The Hell Do You Always Got To Be Sorry About Something, Deku?!" Bakugou yelled. "Even In Another Fucking Universe, You Say Sorry When You Saved Her Suicidal Ass!"
"Vulgarness aside, I actually would have to agree with Bakugou." Momo said. "There was nothing to be sorry about. You saved her from getting hit."
"I-I guess that she might have gotten him if I didn't jumped in and pushed her out of the way." Izuku replied. "Or maybe I was just sorry about pushing her. Either way, don't worry. I'd never feel sorry about saving someone that I see in need." Izuku looked to Kouta and Eri. "Even if they didn't want it."
Kouta and Eri smiled at their father figure and Hero gratefully.
Izuku Rogers panted as he ran passed cars and down the road towards the escaping car, easily running faster than any ordinary man as he followed the taxi. Looking as the car turned to the left, Izuku ran down into an alley way to his left in response. He looked to his left to see the yellow taxi driving driving down the street, driving at the same speeds as him.
"Jeez, 'Zuzu, that serum made you really fast." Nejire pointed out. "What else did that serum do? Did it make you stronger too? No duh, obviously. Did it make your body more durable? Do you have a higher metabolism? Do you have to eat more? Did it also better your senses?"
Before Izuku or the group could calm Nejire's storm of questions, F.R.I.D.A.Y. replied with "I can tell you guys of the effects of the serum after this, alright?"
"Sure!" Nejire cheerfully replied.
Rogers continued running till he ran into the same road the car was driving to his now right, cars honking as he was in front of them. Izuku tried to slow down only for him to a wobble in his run and crash into the window of a bridal wear store.
"Oooh!" Kaminari hissed. "That had to hurt. On the other hand, I think you need to slow it down a bit, Midoriya. I mean you only just met Tokage in that world, no need to run into a Bridal Store to buy her a dress already."
That sparked the two green-haired teens to go nuclear red, one stuttering up a storm of 'Its not like that' and 'You've got it wrong', while the other was busy in La-La Land at the image. Another thing that was sparking was Kaminari's fear at the furious glares of the other girls. The guys chose to keep their laughter to themselves as to not meet the same fate as Chargebolt.
Izuku quickly got out in a stumble yelling "Sorry" once more as he continued running for the car, people looking at him in astonishment as he ran with such speed. He ran into another alley way, a fence in his way, only for the new super soldier to jump and easily leap over the metal fence.
"Wow, Midoriya, you got some mad hops." Miruko grinned. "Guess that serum clearly did more than just make you look like All Might's hunky kid."
Cue Izuku blushing up a storm, girl jealous bla bla bla. On the other hand, All Might himself blushed at the notion of Midoriya as his son, while the teen aptly known as 'Icy-Hot' was writing a mental note of that for his continuing Dad-Might Theory.
He ran into another street holding hands up in warning at the cars that nearly crashed into him as they stopped. The assassin looked back to see Rogers still on his tail and gaining. He turned the car to the right, Izuku following. As a car was moving in front of him, Izuku quickly hoped onto the car and jumped and hopping at the roofs of cars till he leaped over and landed on the taxi's roof.
"Why do I have the strange inclination to add hopping sounds like you would have in a videogame?" Mic questioned to himself.
"Because your brain is as immature as a child's." Aizawa replied, much to Mic's comical tick mark on his head.
The assassin looked up at the sound of Izuku on top of his car, attempting to swerve and veer the car to throw him off. He quickly turned to the left, Izuku hanging on by the rood and taxi sign of the car as it swerved into another alleyway. As it reached a road next to a dock, the assassin aimed his gun up and fired. Rogers quickly moved his body away as the bullet flew out of the roof of the car next to him. He quickly maneuvered his body to his right to avoid the next bullet to his left.
"Oh shit!" Sero said. "And Midoriya's got no suit or anything to block any of those bullets."
The girls squirmed in worry over their crush, obviously, while Eri and Kouta clung onto Izuku in worry as well.
"Well that's assuming that the serum didn't also increase his durability." Shoji said. "For all we know, he can be bulletproof."
As the super soldier dodged a third bullet, he stumbled off the rood of the car and hung by the right side of it. Izuku looked into the window only to duck his head back as the assassin fired at him. The assassin looked back on the road, his eyes widening as he attempted to swerve the car, failing to not hit the car that suddenly drove in his way, and with a crash the car swerved to its side, Izuku quickly climbing onto its side as the car flipped over and over. Izuku landed in a tumble onto the road as the car landed, a car door with a red star on it flying out of place and landing on the road.
"Ouch." Sato winched. "That's gotta hurt."
The assassin quickly got out of the car in a grunt as Roger got up as well. The assassin aimed his gun and fired Izuku ducking, while the crowds of people near them screamed and ran. The assassin looked to the crowd behind him and before looking back to see Rogers grab the car door. The assassin fired twice, both bullets blocked by the the super soldier, the raised car door blocking the bullets, only for the second to go through and hit his side of his ribs, Izuku hissing in pain.
"IZUKU!" The students yelled.
Eri's and Kouta's grip on Izuku tightened.
The assassin quickly rushed over to a mother and her son and grabbed the boy. "No! No! Not my Son!" The woman cried out as the spy wrestled the boy out of her grip and holding him hostage.
"Shit." Fat Gum cursed. "He's got a hostage."
As the woman continued crying out for her son, Izuku dropped the car door, cradling his side where he was shot, a blood mark on it. "Get back!" The assassin yelled as he fired again, Izuku ducking behind a wall as the bullet hit the metal off the beam next to it.
"That bullet wound doesn't look too bad." Snipe inspected. "Looks more like a graze than anything, so you kiddos can relax a bit."
The students, especially the girls, took the Hero Teacher's advise and let out a breathe of relief.
"Let me go!" The boy yelled out as the assassin carried the boy with him down an alley way, Izuku following closely. Izuku ducked under a large metal ball as the assassin fired at him again before entering a corridor.
Izuku looked down the pathway, the water of the docks to his right, as the assassin quickly brought the gun to the boy's head. "Wait, don't!" Izuku yelled as he ran out of his cover and threw his hands up. "Don't!"
The assassin pointed the gun at Rogers.
"NO!" The students/All Might yelled.
But when he pulled the trigger, the gun clicked uselessly, the gun running out of bullets.
"Phew, that was stressful." Mina breathed a sigh of relief.
"It was bound to run out of bullets quickly." Mei said. "Most pistols at that time could only have a maximum of 10 bullets, while he fired like 9 of them at Muscles, so I wasn't worried."
Uraraka and Iida raised their eyebrow in suspicion, noticing Mei's death grip on her armrest.
The assassin grunted as he instead tossed the kid into the docks. "No! Don't!" Izuku yelled as he rushed towards where the kid fell, while the assassin ran.
"No!" Izuku yelled in worry.
Izuku looked down to see the boy floating safely, calling out "Go get him! I can swim!" Izuku nodded and ran back for the assassin.
Izuku breathed a sigh of relief.
The spy flicked his lighter once more, a black vessel floating up to the surface of the water in hum, the vessel looked like a mix between a submarine and a jet.
"What the Hell?!" Melissa and Mei yelled in unison.
"Another incredibly advanced machine compared to that time." David hissed. "I would be more impressed if it wasn't being used by Nazis."
The assassin got into the opened hatch and into the cockpit as the hummed and started to move. Izuku ran and looked at the vessel as it began to go under the water. He quickly jumped out and dove into the water. He swam down the dark waters as he neared the moving vessel. The super soldier grabbed onto the submarine-like ship, the assassin whirling his head in shock, just as Rogers punched through the window of the cockpit, shattering the glass instantly and water rushing into the seat and the assassin.
"Now That was Manly!" Kirishima yelled.
"Wow." Momo gasped out in amazement. "The amount of power to break the glass of submarine-like vessel like that underwater must need an insane amount of strength."
"Yep, definitely add super strength to his list of new moves." Sero said.
Izuku pried open the hatch and grabbed the struggling assassin. With a yell, the assassin was flown out of the water and landed on the floor of the docks, Izuku climbing up to meet him. Izuku approached the assassin who tried to attack with a knife, the super soldier dodging and punching the man to the ground, sending the knife flying, along with the last super soldier serum, which landed on the floor and cracked, the blue liquid pouring onto the ground.
"Yeah!" Uraraka cheered. "Way to go, Deku! You caught him!"
"Unfortunately, the serum is destroyed." Iida said. "Does that mean that there can be no more super soldiers?"
"Better that it was destroyed than it ending up in the wrong hands." Todoroki replied.
Izuku grabbed the man by his collar and yelled "Who the Hell are you?!"
"The first of many." The spy replied. "Cut off one head," He opened his mouth, his tongue breaking off a piece of his tooth in a grunt of pain before biting into it. "Two more shall take its place." Izuku stared at the man grunting as foam appeared in the assassin's mouth. "Hail Hydra!" He yelled before grunting once more before slumping dead.
"He's dead?" Kinoko questioned confused. "How?"
"A suicide pill." Recovery Girl replied. "A capsule that upon crunching releases a fatal amount of toxin, usually potassium cyanide. It was especially used during WWII by secret agents on both sides that in the event they were captured, they would commit suicide as to not be questioned by the enemy."
"Unmanly." Tetsutetsu muttered. "But the guy was a Hydra agent. But what was that speech he gave, a motto or something."
"Its likely the phrase of Hydra." Izuku answered. "The Hydra, that they are named after, was also known to be able to regrow its heads when they are cut off, but instead of regrowing a single head, they regrew two. The phrase must mean that they are so many of them that no matter how many you kill, there will always be more to come."
"That group is sounding more like a cult the more we know about them." Death Arms muttered.
Izuku dropped the man, panting as he registered the words and the dead Hydra agent. He finally looked at his muscled arms and body in shock, finally registering his strength and power as a group of men looked on from behind him.
"Oh now you realized that you are super buff and strong?" Honenuki asked.
"It is likely that Midoriya, or rather Rogers, did not know to the full extent of his new abilities." Jurota said. "So far his abilities list off as super strength, speed, and durability. F.R.I.D.A.Y., can you tell us now what his abilities include?"
"Certainly." F.R.I.D.A.Y. replied. "Izuku Rogers. Status: Super Soldier. List of Powers range from super-human strength, speed and agility, durability, reflexes, heightened senses and reaction time, photographic memory, heightened brain function and intelligence, greater regenerative healing factor and longevity, and super-human stamina."
The students gaped in awe at the amount of abilities that Izuku had, while the pros nodded in respect at the amount of abilities, All Might the most proud and smiling. Midnight and Miruko meanwhile grinned and licked their lips at the mention of 'super-human stamina'.
The scene changed to soldiers in black outfits marching in unison down a metal, advanced hallway. "The Fuhrer is not accustomed to being ignored, Herr Schmidt." A voice said as the the screen paned towards Schmidt walking beside three Nazi officers. "He funds your research because you promised him weapons."
"Oh great, we're back at evil supervillain lair in the mountains." Death Arms snarled distastefully.
"You serve at his pleasure." Another of the officers said as they walked. "He gave you this facility as a reward for you injuries."
"Reward?" Shigaraki's counterpart questioned as they passed by a black banner with the red insignia of Hydra on it. "Call it what it is: Exile. I no longer reflect his image of Aryan perfection."
"Huh?" Itsuka raised an eyebrow at that. "Wasn't the Nazi's view of Aryan 'perfection' mostly include blonde hair, white, and blue eyes? He doesn't have the blue eyes, but I would have thought that white hair would have counted."
"Perhaps it has something to do with that incident that occurred to him." Momo replied. "Likely when he took the Super Soldier Serum."
One of the officers stopped and looked at the banner, then turning towards the heavily armored and equipped Hydra soldier. "You think this is about appearances?" The third officer questioned, as the stared Hydra soldier looked down at the Nazi officer through his menacing helmet, the Nazi officer quickly looking away and joining his fellow officers. "Your Hydra division has failed to deliver so much as a rifle in over a year. And we had learned through local intelligence, you had mounted a full-scale incursion into Norway, with no reports on what you have uncovered or achieved."
"Wait he didn't tell them about the cube thing?" Nejire asked. "Why?"
"Maybe he didn't want anyone to know that he had it, because he thought it might be leaked out to the Allies." Asui answered.
"Or he has plans for the Tesseract that might conflict with their own." Todoroki jumped in.
"The Fuhrer feels...how does he put it?" The first Nazi officer questioned. "The Red Skull has been indulged long enough!"
Schmidt stopped in his tracks, his hand raised to scratch a part of his neck before lowering it. He turned slowly towards the three officers menacingly.
"Uh oh." Kaminari said. "He doesn't look happy."
After a few moments of silence he said "Gentlemen, you come to see the results of our work, hmm?" He nodded and gestured to the door next to him. "Let me show you."
The four entered his office/lab where Garaki and his scientists worked, a few Hydra soldiers standing on guard. "Hitler speaks of a 1,000-year Reich, but he cannot feed his armies for a month." Schmidt revealed. "His troops spill their blood across ever field in Europe," The leader of Hydra reached a tarp before removing it to reveal a large mechanism. "But still he is no closer to achieving his goals."
"Is that true?" Hagakure asked.
"It was written that Nazi-Germany was losing the war due to poor supply lines that were easily taken by Allied forces, so he's not wrong." Momo said. "Plus Germany's economy was devoting about 75% of its economy to war compared to the 60 and 55% of Soviet Russia and Britain. The shortage of fuel, food, and coal was a growing factor towards their inevitable defeat."
"And I suppose you still aim to win this war through magic?" The third Nazi officer asked mockingly as he waved his arms.
"Science." Schmidt corrected as he walked to a console. "But I can understand your confusion." Garaki watched in nervousness as Schmidt flipped a few switches and machines hum to life. "Great power has always baffled primitive men."
"Is this that same their magic is actually advanced science like in Thor?" Sato asked. "Because I'm still wondering how a magic, lightning summoning hammer is science."
The two men stared at each other while the third walked throughout the lab. "Hydra is assembling an arsenal to destroy my enemies in one stroke, wherever they are, regardless of how many forces they possess," Schmidt continued as his snapped his fingers. "All in a matter of hours."
"Your enemies?" The Nazi officer repeated.
"Yeah that doesn't sound so good for those guys." Ojiro said.
"Back-stabbing?" Hawks asked Endeavor.
"Most certainly." Endeavor nodded.
"My weapons contain enough destructive power to decimate every hostile capital on Earth." Schmidt continued un-interrupted while the third officer walked towards a world map. "Quite simply, gentlemen, I have harnessed the power of the gods."
One of the officers cleared his throat from laughing while the other said "Thank you, Schmidt."
"For what?" Schmidt asked.
"For making it clear how obviously mad you are." The officer answered as the third officer looked at the map, noticing multiple red pins on several world capitals, from London to Paris. And Berlin.
"Berlin is on this map!" The officer exclaimed.
"So it is." Schmidt said nonchalantly. The mechanism came alive, blue lights lightning up to reveal that it is a large gun. It shifted and aimed towards the three men.
"He's betraying them!" Uraraka exclaimed. "Why?"
"Greed, power, control." Ryukyu listed. "Any one of those is reason enough. If he's telling the truth, and he probably is, to him, why would a person with godlike power bend to an ordinary man?"
"You will be punished for your insolence!" The officer who made the discovery yelled as the gun aimed at him and hummed. "You will be brought before the Fuhrer himself!"
Those were his last words, the gun lighting up and firing a bolt of blue energy at the officer who was vaporized in a blue puff of smoke and energy.
"Jesus!" Kaminari exclaimed. "There's nothing left of him!"
The group's eyes widened in horror at the fate of the man, the power that one bolt of energy did.
"And he's got an arsenal full of them." Melissa whispered out, eyes wide in horror at the implications.
Kirishima and Tetsutetsu shuddered, an idea popping into their heads in how much were their chances of surveying that attack with the Quirks. The two both came out with a single answer: not well.
The two officers backed up and attempted to run. Schmidt aimed the gun at the officer that called him mad and fired, the man dodging the first blasts before meeting the same fate as his comrade a second later. The gun aimed at the last officer who tried to open to vault doors. He turned back and yelled for his life. "SCHMIDT!"
BWAH!
All that remained of the officer was a blast mark on the metal door.
While the men were part of horrible group, Izuku shuddered at the fate that the men received, only hoping that the death was ultimately painless. Nazi or not, no one deserves a fate like that.
Schmidt walked up to the center of the room with a smirk as Dr. Garaki hid by the corner behind the weapon and Schmidt. "My apologies, Doctor," Schmidt said. "But we both knew Hydra could grow no further in Hitler's shadow. Hail Hydra."
"Hail Hydra!" The other scientists and men proclaimed as they saluted with both their fists in the air in front of them.
"Yep, its a cult." Death Arms said.
"With Shigaraki as this man's counterpart, I would say its more like their world's version of the League of Villains." Kamui jumped in.
'Or their version of the Paranormal Liberation Front.' Hawks thought, remembering how the once small group of the League of Villains has become an army thousand fold under Shigaraki's command.
Garaki remained silent before Schmidt's stare fell to him. "Hail Hydra!" Garaki yelled loudly. Schmidt smirked before walking away, leaving Garaki panting, his face riddled with fear and terror.
"Could he be having second thoughts?" Pixie Bob questioned.
"He just saw his boss easily vaporize three guys that were once his allies." Mandalay said. "It make sense that he would be terrified about being his next victim if he failed him."
The scene changed back to Izuku, now in a brown dress shirt and pants and sitting in silence as a nurse took his blood. He looked subtly at the multiple vials of his blood to the side. "Think you got enough?" He asked sarcastically.
"Wow, that's a lotta blood." Kaminari memed again.
"Kind of surprised that he took all that blood and doesn't look tired or anything." Kyouka said as she, without looking, jammed her jack into Kaminari's ear.
"Well F.R.I.D.A.Y. did say that he has greater stamina and durability." Melissa pointed out.
"Any hope of reproducing the program is locked in your genetic code." Setsuna spoke, file in hand, as Izuku joined her side. "But without Dr. Erskine, it will take years."
Rogers sighed regretfully. "He deserved more than this."
Izuku lowered his head at the death of a friend from another world. He felt the hands of Melissa and Mirio on his shoulders and nodded in thanks.
Setsuna sighed too and replied. "If it could work only once, he'd be proud it was you."
"I agree." Izuku heard the First User say. The Ninth holder smiled warmly at the praise from the First, a boost in his confidence at having the support and praise from the past holders.
Izuku turned to Setsuna as she smiled sadly. Rogers remained blank-faced, no trace of a smile on his face, as he stared out the windows to the floor below.
"Its kind of unnerving to see Green Bean so...cold." Setsuna said, wincing at the look of her crush.
"Its like that constant sparkle of hope and joy died or something." Hagakure whined. "I don't like it."
"Let's just hope that our Midori doesn't end up like that." Mina said.
"Colonel Phillips, my committee is demanding answers." Senator Brandt demanded as he and Colonel Phillips were walking down the room below Izuku.
"Great." Phillips replied. "Why don't we start with how German spy got a ride to my secret installation in your car?"
"Nice burn there, DA." Mount Lady said. "
"What do we got here?" Phillips asked as the two reached the middle of the room where Masaru Stark inspected the submarine of the spy.
"Speaking modestly, I'm the best mechanical engineer in this country." Masaru replied.
"Is speaking modestly not a thing that your parents taught you, Bakugou?" Mina teased.
"SCREW YOU!" Bakugou yelled. "I ALWAYS SPEAK MODESTLY!"
The group didn't know whether to laugh at how serious and deluded Bakugou was or be in disbelief at how serious and deluded Bakugou was.
"But I don't know what's inside this thing or how it works." Masaru continued. "We're not even close to this technology."
"Then who is?" Brandt asked.
"Hydra." Phillips answered. "I'm sure you've been reading our briefings."
"I'm on a number of committees, Colonel." Brandt replied in defense of himself.
"Are all Senators idiots that prioritize money and politics over anything that actually matters?" Kamakiri questioned.
"There are a few outliers, but pretty much." David answered. "If they don't say the right words and do what others want them to do, then what chance do they have being reelected for another six years?"
"Hydra is the Nazi deep-science division." Carter clarified as she walked in with Rogers. "Its led by Johann Schmidt. But he has much bigger ambitions."
"So that's why they have access to such technology and the equipment to harness the power of that cube." Power Loader said.
"Hydra's practically a cult." Phillips continued Carter's words. "They worship Schmidt. They think he's invincible."
"So what are you going to do about it?" Brandt asked.
"I spoke to the President this morning." Phillips replied as they walked towards Setsuna and Izuku. "As of today, the SSR is being retasked."
"Colonel?" Setsuna questioned.
"We are taking the fight to Hydra." Phillips revealed. "Pack your bags, Agent Carter. You, too, Stark." Setsuna and Masaru were taken back at the news. "We are flying to London tonight."
Izuku looked back in worry at Setsuna, the thought of her going of to a warzone flaring an uneasy feeling in his gut. He quickly looked away before the greenette could notice, with a blush. Little did he know that the reptile-loving teen had great peripheral vision and smiled warmly at the worry that she saw in her crush's eyes, her insides doing flips in joy and victory.
"Sir? If you're going after Schmidt, I want in." Izuku requested.
But just as Izuku was worried over Setsuna going to war, the girls likewise looked towards Izuku in their own worry, the happy feeling in Tokage's chest suddenly dying and being replaced with her own worry.
"You're an experiment." Phillips replied. "You're going to Alamogordo."
"Ouch." Kaminari hissed. "That's a bit rude."
Izuku clenched his jaw in frustration. "The serum worked." Rogers retorted.
"I asked for an army and all I got was you." Phillips retorted back. "You are not enough." The Colonel walked away leaving Izuku huffing in frustration.
"Okay, while I'm not exactly liking of the idea of Izuku going to a warzone, that is rather unfair." Melissa huffed.
"He does have a point." Edgeshot said. "Midoriya is now their only super soldier, his genes housing the only ways to recreate the serum. If he were to die, then they would lose perhaps their only weapon against Hydra and their weapons."
Izuku frowned, not at all oblivious to the parallel between the Super-Soldier serum and One For All that he picked up. 'I have the responsibility of holding this sacred power passed onto me and to keep it secret.' Izuku thought as he looked at his scarred hand. 'Would this be what would happen if One For All was made known? Being kept inside and away from everyone for the safety of this power that once belonged to All Might, the Symbol of Peace? And what if All For One were to get out and become stronger somehow?'
Izuku looked to his fellow students, his teachers, and Eri and Kouta. 'W-Would I probably do what needs to be done to keep them safe?'
Brandt walked up to Izuku and said "With all due respect to the Colonel, I think we may be missing the point." Izuku stared at the Senator in confusion. "I've seen you in action, Izuku. More importantly, the countries seen it. Paper."
As his gesture, the man accompanying the Senator brought over a newspaper of the incident reading: 'Nazis in new York. Mystery Man Saves Child.' "The Enlistment lines have have been around the block since your picture hit the newsstands. You don't take a soldier, a Symbol like that, and hide him in a lab."
All Might couldn't hold back the smile on his face at Midoriya being called a Symbol, much like himself.
"Wait so is Midoriya like this world's version of All Might?" Asui asked. "Is he their own Symbol of Peace? Kind of ironic since you are an All Might super fan, huh Midoriya?"
"O-O-Oh, y-you t-think so?!" Izuku stuttered out blushing, both Asui's proximity and being teased for being an All Might super fan with the very same man in the room. Plus he wasn't exactly calm at the connection between him and All Might being mentioned when their actual relationship regarding One For All and its secrecy on his mind. "I-I-I guess its just a coincidence."
While Izuku nervously chuckled, Bakugou couldn't help the stab of jealousy that sparked in his heart, the reminder that his idol looked to and chose Deku over him. The explosive blonde thought he had gotten over it since his fight with Deku after the Licensing Exam, but he guessed not.
Izuku looked to Brandt as the man, hesitantly, puts his hand on his shoulder. "Son, do you want to serve your country, of America, on the most important battlefield of the war?" Brandt asked.
Izuku frowned and narrowed his eyes, the hesitance in touching him that the Senator showed and the unneeded clarification of what country he should serve not lost to him, much to his annoyance.
"Sir, that's all I want." Izuku answered, his gaze determined and unflinching.
"Then, congratulations." Brandt replied, raising his hand towards Rogers to shake. "You just got promoted."
Izuku shook the hand with a smile.
"Way to go, Deku." Uraraka cheered for Izuku. "You might actually be able to fight."
Izuku too smiled, hoping that Uraraka was right.
The scene quickly changed to Izuku's face sighing and panting, his body obscured sans his shoulders that looked clothed in a blue suit. "I don't know if I can do this." Izuku breathed out, music beginning to play in the background.
The group blinked in confusion about what was going on. The adult's eyes quickly widened at the sound of music before smiles began to crack, especially All Might, with only Endeavor and Aizawa twitching their eyes in annoyance.
"Nothing to it." A man came up to his side. "You sell a few bonds. Bonds buy bullets. Bullets kill Nazis. Bing bang boom." The screen showed more of Izuku's chest to reveal a white star. "You're an American Hero." The man clapped Izuku's back.
"Bonds?" Pony questioned. "What bonds? Like friends and family bonds?"
"I believe he is referring to war bonds, which are debts the government uses to fund the military." Jurota explained.
"They were also seen as a way to remove money from circulation and reduce inflation." Momo jumped in.
"Thanks for that oh so fascinating journey into the world of economics." Setsuna said sarcastically, while making a gagging notion towards Pony and Kinoko that made the two giggle.
"Moving on from that, what's with the star on your chest, Midoriya?" Asui pointed out.
Izuku blinked in confusion and narrowed his eyes towards the star, before looking at the material of what his other self was wearing. His look of curiosity fell into pale look of fear and embarrassment.
"It's just not how I pictured getting there." Rogers said honestly.
The man nodded and replied with "The Senator has got a lot of pull up on the Hill." A woman peeked behind the curtain to look at Izuku. "You play ball with us, you'll be leading your own platoon in no time."
Izuku reluctantly nodded before putting on a blue mask that covered his head, the sides of his head, and the ridge of his nose and upper cheeks, leaving aside his eyes, nose, cheeks, and mouth. The mask had a white A on his forehead and white wings on his sides.
The girls giggled at how ridiculous and adorable Izuku looked, much to the green-haired teen's horror. The guys too started to crack smiles and chuckles at seeing their classmate with a ridiculous looking mask.
The heroes could barely contain their own laughter, as evident by so many cracks and release of chuckles that the students noticed and Izuku paled whitened so much he looked like a ghost. All Might chuckled and sent a small prayer for his young successor from the embarrassment sure to come, while Gran Torino was one more hilarious thing to burst out laughing. Midnight and Mic were covering their mouths and holding their sides, along with Hawks and Miruko who looked like they were containing laughter so hard their faces were turning blue.
As he finished putting on the mask and the drums started sounding, the manager said "Take the shield." Izuku grabbed something before being gently pushed forward. "Go."
The students quickly were catching up what was going on, much to more released chuckles, giggling girls, and horrified Izuku.
"No." Setsuna chuckled out. "This Can't be what I think it is!"
""I'm afraid that it might be." Momo giggled.
Bakugou couldn't take it anymore and was already convulsing into spasms and silent laughter.
"Please, no." Izuku groaned out. "For the love of all that is good, please don't!"
"Sorry, Deku, but nope." Mirio patted the teen, his grin wide and chuckles coming out.
Izuku stepped up to a stage with group of woman in blue, sleeveless shirts, short red and white striped skirts, and blue caps with stars on them. Izuku, himself, was fully revealed in an American-themed outfit, his upper body from his head to pecs and shoulder were blue, a white star in the middle of his chest, his arms down to his red gloves were clothed white, the lower half of his chest down to his waist was striped red and white, a belt with silver buckle on the front, his pants were the same blue as his upper chest and he completed the outfit in red boots. In his hands was a metal shield, square on the top and fell into a point at the bottom, its top part was blue with three white stars, the middle the largest, and the rest and most was red and white stripes.
Laughter. That was all that was heard from the gym. Laughter so hard that other students of U.A. back at their dorms could hear.
The girls were in a mixture of laughing, giggling, and cooing at how ridiculous yet still strangely handsome Midoriya was. Uraraka giggled at the scene before her, remembering with fondness, and more giggles, at Izuku's first Hero Suit and how ridiculous, in a good way, it was compared to his cool, recent versions. Mina and Hagakure were holding onto each other at how hard they were laughing. Kyouka, wearing noise canceling headphones from Momo, too couldn't help but chuckle at how humorous the scene look, while Momo giggled at her crush's unfortunate, yet hilarious predicament. Asui wasn't usually one for laughter, not that she couldn't laugh, she was just more serious and blunt, but the scene before her made her smile and croak in laughter. Nejire had a mixture of a giggle and a laugh that Izuku, if he wasn't busy groaning in embarrassment, would have blushed hard at how cute it was. Mei chuckled at how ridiculous the outfit looked on Izuku though she quickly diverted her attention towards the shield in his hands. Melissa was less like her fellow inventor and was too busy giggling at Izuku's misfortune, patting the currently embarrassed crush of hers. Setsuna was howling in laughter too, her face red from laughter, though the greenette, in her fit, couldn't help but think that Izuku's tights did wonders in showing off his muscles and cute butt. Ibarra and Itsuka giggled at the scene in front of them, and sent prayers towards their 1-A classmate at his misfortune. Pony and Kinoko were likewise giggling at how adorable Izuku looked. Even the usually cold, blank-faced Yui and Reiko cracked smiles and chuckles.
For the pro heroines, things weren't any different. Midnight, Pixie Bob, Mount Lady, Ragdoll, and Miruko were practically howling in laughter. Midnight holding her sides and, weirdly, shivering at how adorable Midoriya looked, while Mount Lady was slapping her knees in laughter. Pixie Bob and Ragdoll were holding their sides, while Mandalay attempt to not laugh, after noticing Izuku's clear embarrassment, but that resolve quickly dissolved with a fit of giggles. Thirteen giggled under her helmet, making a more resounding echo, Ryukyu was sent into a fit of giggles as well, while Chiyo was giggling and laughing like a grandmother laughing amusingly at their grandchild. And Miruko was holding her sides and howling in laughter, her legs kicking up in the air at her fit that the ones next to her had to duck to avoid getting a powerful rabbit foot to the skull. Eri meanwhile was giggling at her Papa and how cool and weird he looked, Kouta, beside her, was howling in laughter at hw ridiculous his idol looked.
The guys weren't much better either. Bakugou fell to the ground in laughter, while Kirishima and Tetsutetsu laughed too, but quickly felt bad at laughing at Midoriya and said that the shield looked Manly. Sero, Kaminari, and Mineta were practically tearing up in their laughter, Sato, Shoji, and Ojiro all chuckled, even Tokoyami chuckled while Dark Shadow was cawing in laughter. Aoyama was giggling while Ojiro chuckled and Koda was busy holding in his own chuckles, both in shyness and courtesy to the embarrassed Izuku. Mirio was howling in laughter and even Tamaki smiled and chuckled lowly. Todoroki's normal blank and cold stare was broken by a smile and amused chuckle, Shinsou the same as he cracked a toothy smile and chuckled.
The guys of 1-B were much the same. Monoma howling in laughter at the 'pitiful, ridiculous Deku' and Kamakiri fell off his seat as well after laughing too hard. Jurota, Shoda, Bondo, and Rin chuckled, while Sen, Kosei, and Awase howled in laughter, and Shihai was chuckling darkly like a gremlin. Manga's version of a laugh came in the form of crying, laughing emoji face. The pro heroes had some restraint in their numbers, Eraser and Endeavor merely sighing in extreme annoyance and desire to knock themselves out and Edgeshot remaining silent, baring a chuckle or two, but that was about it. Gran Torino was holding his sides and laughing so hard he thought he was actually going to die, Nezu chuckled in amusement, and Hawks was laughing so hard that it took all their willpower for Endeavor and Edgeshot not to strangle him to shut him up. Snipe, Vlad, and Ectoplasm chuckled, as well Power Loader, though, like his student, he too became intrigued with the shield in Izuku's hands. Tsukauchi and David chuckled, fondly remembering times that All Might had to wear silly costumes for a group of children in both America and Japan that the two almost died of laughter. As for the Symbol of Peace, All Might chuckled so hard that actually spat out some blood in consequence.
And as for the man of hour himself, the one word to describe him was...well embarrassed. His blushing, embarrassed face was in his hands, groaning and wishing the Earth would swallow him whole. Hell, he would take a spontaneous League of Villain attack over this. He could practically hear the vestiges laughing their asses of, especially The Fifth. He could feel the pats on his shoulders from both Melissa and Mirio but just made him feel more embarrassed.
"Who's Strong and Brave, Here to Save the American Way?" The woman sang as their marched and performed to the music, Izuku walking up to the front of the stage, nervously.
Izuku quickly looked to the back of the shield, where he held it, and read off loudly "Not all of us can storm a beach or drive a tank. But there's still a way all of us can fight."
"Oh my god!" Sero laughed out. "This is the best thing ever!"
"Please tell me I can record this, F.R.I.D.A.Y.?" Hagakure begged. "Please?!"
"Well..." F.R.I.D.A.Y. said.
'Please say no. Please say no. Please say no.' Izuku prayed mentally.
"Oh what the hell, go right ahead." F.R.I.D.A.Y. said, her voice suddenly chipper.
Hagakure and the girls cheered while Izuku felt so dead inside that a comical ghost him was coming out of his mouth.
"Who Vows to Fight like a Man for what's Right, Night and Day?" The woman sang again as Izuku walked closer to the crowds of people.
"Series E Defense Bonds." Izuku read off the notes taped to the back of the shield again. "Each one you buy is a bullet in the barrel of your best guy's gun."
"AHAHAHAHA!" Setsuna cried out laughing. "Oh! I'm crying!"
"This is quite a humorous and accurate portrayal of American propaganda and commercialization." Nezu chuckled.
"I have to say Midori, you pull off that suit nicely~." Mina purred. "I can see your muscles Very clearly~."
"Kacchan." Izuku groaned out. "I give you full permission to kill me."
"No Way Nerd!" Bakugou yelled, grinning wickedly. "This is way more enjoyable with your nerdy ass still alive!"
"Welcome to Midoriya's Hell." Kaminari jokingly said. "Now free of one charge of Death. 100% Guaranteed!"
The group burst out in laughter while the giggles of Eri was the only thing keeping Izuku from seeing this whole life embarrassing event as a complete disaster for him.
"Who will Campaign, Door-to-Door, For America?" The woman sang and danced as Izuku walked to the side. "Carry the Flag, Shore to Shore, For America?" The song continued as Izuku, in costume held up a baby for a picture, the baby crying. "From Hoboken to Spokane," Izuku shook Brandt's hand and smiled half-heartedly, compared to Brandt's enthusiastic one, for another picture. "The Star-Spangled Man With a Plan!"
"Huh, Catchy." Midnight said.
"This is a complete waste of his new super solder abilities." Aizawa said bluntly. "Wasting time shaking hands with greedy politicians, dancing around like a trained monkey. That Senator is turning my student into a glorified stage pony."
Izuku smiled, nodding and happy that at least someone felt the same as him and thought that this whole thing was completely unnecessary.
"Well to be truly fair, Mr. Aizawa, it isn't a complete waste." Momo interjected. "While it might seem rather unnecessary, as Izuku read off in his performance, it could be that every performance of his could lead to more bonds being sold, which means more military and medical support to the Allies overseas."
Izuku's eyes blinked in surprise. 'Huh. I didn't think of that.' Izuku thought, pondering over if his sacrifice into being a demeaning chorus girl would lead to someone's life being saved. 'I...I guess if this helps save someone, I guess I can stomach this. Not that I have choice in what happens.'
Izuku was shown walking down a group of soldiers, one who looked like Shoto, down a forest, with a strap full of bullets on his shoulder to below and around his right arm.
"Hey look, 'Zuzu!" Nejire pointed out excitedly. "The guy wasn't lying! You are leading your own group!"
"Wait for it." Shinsou said.
As the screen paned back, it showed that they were in a set, running on a treadmill with a crew filming them. "Cut." The director announced. "Guys, don't look at the camera."
"Oh." Nejire said dejectedly before tapping her fingers together, embarrassed. "Um, sorry, 'Zuzu."
"Its okay." Izuku sighed out.
"We Can't ignore there's a Threat and War we must Win." The song continued as the scene transitioned to another performance of dancers and Izuku.
"First, Bakugou, of all people gets a bunch of cheerleaders and now Midoriya has a bunch of stage girls in short skirts with long legs!" Mineta whined. "Where's my group of lovey ladies dancing and singing over me?!"
Izuku's and Bakugou's eyes twitched at the Mineta's whining, the girls and Ibarra likewise glaring at the purple pervert.
"Each one you Buy is a Bullet in the Barrel of your Best Guy's Gun." Izuku repeated, more confidently and without looking at the shield, pointing and smiling to the crowd.
"Huh, you got the lines right without looking." Tetsutetsu said to Izuku.
"Makes sense to memorize it after likely multiple performances." Itsuka said. "And he seems to be acting more confidently than before."
Izuku likewise smiled, happy that his other self was getting more used to the situation and making the most out of it.
"Who'll hang a Noose on the Goose-stepping goons from Berlin?" Singers sang as the crowd cheered. "Who will redeem, Heed the Call, For America?" The screen showed multiple scenes of Izuku stepping up, more confidently and smiling, to more performances. "Who'll Rise or Fall, Give His All, For America? Who's Here to Prove that We Can? The Star-Spangled Man With a Plan!" Brandt and the show manager smiled and nodded their heads at the cheering crowd.
"We all know this about trying to win the war." Izuku talked to the crowd as a fake, dressed up Hitler snuck behind the lined up dancers with a mean mug and fake gun in hand. "But we can't do that without bullets and bandages, tanks and tents. That's where you come in. Every bond you buy will help protect someone you love."
As Rogers kept talking a couple of kids stood up and called to him about Hitler, much to the enjoyment and amusement of the crowd.
The group chuckled at the scene, Asui croaking in fond memory of the same thing happening with her little siblings and an act with a costumed All Might and a fake Villain.
"Keep our boys armed and ready," Izuku continued, as the fake Hitler stopped behind where Rogers was. "And the Germans will think twice about trying to get the drop on us."
Fake Hitler pushed past the girls and stepped up to point the gun at Izuku, only him to fall to the ground from Izuku's punch, the punch a few inches away from his face as it hit nothing but air as the cymbals crashed. The girls gasped while crowd and kids cheered and clapped, much to Izuku's smile.
Izuku, likewise, smiled at the smiles and cheers of the kids. He remembered his goal about making people safe with a smile on their face, like All Might. 'This isn't really saving people in need, but to see people smiling, hopeful, and happy, its all I ever wanted to be as a Hero. Just like All Might. ' Izuku thought. 'I guess making them hopeful and joyful in the uncertain, fearful times of war can be a way of helping them, right?'
Meanwhile, said Symbol of Peace smiled too at seeing his protege's counterpart act much like himself in his golden years. He looked down to see Midoriya's reaction and smiled contently that he seemed more happy at the outcome, but he can tell that he was still disappointed deep down. 'I see.' All Might thought. 'Young Midoriya isn't the type to be a hero because of fame and making performances. He wants to be more like me. Saving people.'
"Stalwart and Steady and True!" The singer sang, showing Rogers fake punch Hitler multiple times comically as they listed cities from Buffalo, Milwaukee, Philadelphia, and Chicago.
"What's with the American city names?" Kosei asked.
"It could be more places where he will be performing this entertaining, yet absolutely flamboyant, arrogant, boastful plays about himself, while not even doing anyth-*WHACK*!" Monoma was cut off by yet another chop to the neck, but not before making Izuku's smile and happy disposition crack a bit.
"Forceful and Ready to Defend!" The dancers awed and cooed at Izuku while Izuku smiled and waved to the crowd. "The Red, White, and Blue!"
The scene continued with a man selling comics of Izuku punching Hitler on the cover, the title reading: Captain America.
"Oh! So Papa's Captain America!" Eri exclaimed excitedly.
"He sure is!" Mirio said back enthusiastically, holding up his hand. "Nice job, figuring it out, Eri! High Five!"
Eri happily reached out and clapped her hand to Mirio's.
"It's actually kind of ironic." Hawks chuckled. "The kid's a Hero fanboy to the extreme, and now here he is, his counterpart as this own world's own superhero, maybe the First ever, with his own comic books. Funny, huh?"
"I suppose so." Ryukyu nodded.
"So if Midori goes to Hell and back to get his own comic, would that be just him being a Hero fanboy or really arrogant?" Mina asked jokingly
While the students chuckles, Monoma opened his mouth to reply, something obviously insulting or mocking of 1-A and Izuku, only for another neck chop to put himself back unconscious.
"Who'll give the Axis the Sack and is Smart as a Fox?" People read the comics, from kids to even fellow soldiers.
Izuku and All Might smiled at the notion of kids and even fellow soldiers reading Izuku's comics.
"Far as an Eagle will Soar!" A female choir of singers sang in backup, as a black-and-white film played showing Izuku blocking bullets with his shield and firing a gun at enemy forces. "Who's making Adolf Afraid to Step out of his Box?!" The crowd of viewers cheered and clapped, Izuku, out of costume and in the crowd, smiled and chuckled. "He Knows what We're Fighting For!"
"Hey, you have your own movie, Midori!" Hagakure cheered. "Awesome!"
"Technically, isn't this video we are watching essentially a movie of Izuku, so we are watching a movie of Izuku inside the movie of Izuku?" Momo asked.
"Movie-ception!" Kaminari declared, waving his hands in an arc.
"That is not what this instance of inception means!" Iida declared with arm-chopping hands. "The concept of 'Inception' is plant the an original idea deep into one's mind and allow their subconscious to be convinced that the idea is real and their own! It is not simply the something as highly likely as a movie about oneself in a movie about about that same person!"
"Killjoy." Kaminari grumbled.
"Who waked the Giant that Napped, In America?!" More plays, dances, and music sounded. "We know its No One, but Captain America!" Izuku walked down the steps signing a boy his autograph as a blonde woman came up to him, smiled brightly, and said "Hi." A flash of a camera lit the two, Izuku stopped to greet the lady, his surprise quickly overtaken by a charming, sincere smile.
"Ooh, Midoriya~." Pixie Bob cooed teasingly. "I didn't know you had a thing for greenette's and blondes~! Any perhaps interest in blonde, catgirls? Mrow~."
"I-uh um I-uh well um eh..." Was the only response that came out of the stuttering, blushing mess that was Izuku, after back to back advances from two different blondes, one in movie and in real life.
As the girls interested in Izuku fumed in anger at the 'little hussy', both in the movie and Pixie Bob, Kaminari blinked his eyes in confusion at the sight of the blonde lady before narrowing them, glints of horrified realization kicking in his mind.
"Who'll Finish What They Began?! Who'll Kick The Krauts to Japan?!" The song continued louder and louder, showing a large performance, in New York City, of Izuku lifting a motorcycle, with three women on it, while standing on a large pedestal with a big red, white, and blue star and airplane shadows behind him, and dancers everywhere. "The STAR-SPANGLED MAN! WITH! A! PLAN!" Upon the end of the music and confetti popping out, the crowd cheered and clapped aloud.
The group likewise clapped and applauded for the performance wit people still chuckling at Izuku's embarrassment from it.
"I have to say, good show, good music for the time, good performance." Kyouka clapped. "A little offended by that 'Krauts to Japan' thing, as if we would want them there, but whatever."
"Remember that it is is WWII and our country was part of the Axis Powers." Momo reminded her. "So its only logical that, back then, we would be roped into the American propaganda, just like Italy."
"It was a little insensitive because their Captain America is also half Japanese." Ibarra muttered.
"Well duh, what else is America if not chock full of insensitive, intolerant, racist assholes and insensitive, intolerant racist assholes that try to hide that they are assholes?" Setsuna said. "Um, no offense, Melissa. I think you and your pops are cool."
"None taken." Melissa shrugged, knowing full well the struggles and issues with her country.
"Anyways, that was a nice montage of shows, Deku." Uraraka said. "And you looked really strong lifting that motorcycle."
Before Izuku could respond, Bakugou roared out "Oh please! That motorcycle looked obviously fake! Its parts were white like it was made fucking plastic! They probably made it up because they didn't want Shitty Deku to break his back mid-show!"
"T-Thanks, Uraraka." Izuku thanked the pink-cheeked girl, ignoring the loud, cursing comments of his former childhood friend.
"And since we are no longer laughing at Midroiya's misery, why does he have that shield?" Mirio asked.
"It was likely from that newspaper that Young Midoriya was first shown." All Might said. "He was holding a taxi door, with star on it, and using it as a shield, so they may have made him an actual shield."
"I think you are all missing the most important part of that show." Kaminari said before standing up and pointing an accusatory finger towards Izuku. "Why were you making go-go eyes at my grandmama?!"
"EH?!" Izuku, and most the group questioned.
"Did you finally blast a screw loose?" Kyouka said. "What are you talking about, Kaminari?"
"That blonde woman that said 'Hi' to him." Kaminari explained. "I thought she looked familiar and now I know why. Its how my grandma looked when she was younger."
Izuku's eyes widened in horrified realization. "I-I-I'm Sorry Kaminari! I Didn't Mean Anything! I Didn't Know She Was You Grandma And I Don't Have Control Over My Counterparts Actions! I Swear!"
Kaminari narrowed his eyes at Midoriya in silence. "Fine." He grumbled, pointing his finger at him. "But I'm watching you!"
As Kaminari sat down and Izuku sighed in relief, so too did the girls. 'Man, I can't believe I was momentarily jealous of Jamming Yey's Grandma.' Kyouka thought.
The scene changed to Rogers, in costume, announcing on a microphone "How many of you are ready to help me sock old Adolf on the jaw?!"
He was met with silence as the crowd he was speaking towards was a large group of silent, staring soldiers. The screen showing that it was now November 1943 in Italy, Five Miles From the Front.
"This is so awkward." Awase whispered.
"I know." Sen whispered back. "But what else would be when a super solder is dressed up in spandex in front of a crowd of army soldiers?"
"Okay..." Izuku continued awkwardly. "Uh...I need a volunteer."
"I already volunteered!" A random soldier yelled. "How do you think I got here?!"
"You kind of fell into that, huh Midoriya?" Asui asked.
"I guess." Izuku sweat-dropped.
The crowd of soldiers started laughing. "Bring back the girls!" Another soldier yelled out, to the cheers of the soldiers.
"I agree!" Mineta cheered, only for a blast of electrical waves to knock the pervert out.
"No interrupting, 'Zuzu, pervert!" Nejire yelled vehemently before returning to watching the screen giddily.
"After all this time, I still don't know whether Nejire is a tsundure or a yandere." Tamaki whispered to Mirio.
"I actually thought she was more deredere than anything else." Mirio replied. "Plus, she was a bit of a Bakadere back in First year and a bit in Second Year."
"Ooh, if I have to pick, I like the deredere one more." Mirio and Tamaki paled drastically as Nejire smiled behind them with closed eyes and a shadowy aura on her. "Oh and yes, after the videos you should run for your lives."
Izuku stuttered and looked to the side before answering "Uh, I think they only know the one song, but, um, Let me-uh-I-I'll see what I can do."
"You do that, sweetheart." Another soldier yelled out.
"Nice boots, Tinker Bell!" Hodge yelled out, much to more laughter from the soldiers.
"Not that asshole again!" Mina yelled.
"I guess this means that this is the same group that Izuku was in during his training at that army camp." Melissa pointed out.
"Ooh, does that mean we will see more of Tokage?" Pony asked excitedly. "I wanna see more of Tokage and Midoriya falling in love!"
"Pony!" Setsuna yelled, blushing deep red. "How could you?!"
While the 1-B girls teased their reptilian classmate, and the other girls glared at her, Izuku blushed deep red as well at the 'falling in love' part.
"Come on guys," Rogers said. "We're all on the same team here."
"Hey Captain!" A soldier yelled as they all looked at him, as he held his ass towards him his pants in his hands. "Sign this!" Izuku sighed and shook his head as he pulled his pants down to more cheers and laughter. A few soldiers threw tomatoes at him, Rogers blocking them with his shield. With a look of slight hurt, Izuku walked off stage while the girls came back on and waved and posed for the guy's roaring delight.
The group grumbled and frowned. The guys glared at the booing soldiers, with Kirishima and Tetsutetsu describing them as 'Unmanly'. The girls glared furiously at the soldiers while throwing looks of concern over to Izuku, knowing full well that he doesn't take rejection and mockery well. The pros and teachers frowned at how easily the group of soldiers could turn and mock one of their own, but understood the reasons for such behavior.
"That's so mean!" Hagakure huffed. "They're all a bunch of jerks!"
"They are soldiers at war, Hagakure." Aizawa replied. "In times of war, things like dancing shows and meaningless optimism come off as meaningless words and gestures to them."
"They have suffered the trials and horrors of war and have lost comrades and brothers in arms, so things such as 'playing nice' aren't going to help." Vlad King jumped in. "To some, it could be even seen as insulting and patronizing."
All Might nodded with Vlad King and Aizawa's statements. He looked down towards Izuku and Bakugou, one with concern and the other with a look of suspicion.
Izuku frowned and stared at the ground, once more the mocks and jeers of the past ringing in his head, now with the addition of the jeers of his other self's fellow soldiers. Looking at the scene made Izuku feel and see no better than himself being stared at, pointed, mocked, laughed, and sneered at, the tomatoes banging against Roger's shield sounding more like explosions in his head. What's worse was that unlike the bullies that said that he couldn't be a Hero, the soldiers weren't wrong at sneering and booing at him.
'They've risked their lives and fought for their country and people.' Izuku thought. 'And I, the one with superpowers, am wearing tights and dancing like a showgirl.'
With Bakugou, the scene also brought back memories. But where Izuku's memories had him against a crowd of laughing, mocking, pointing children and bullies, Bakugou was the one at the front of the crowd, leading the laughing, mocking, pointing and bullying. He joined Izuku in hearing explosions sounding at the thrown tomatoes being thrown at him, but instead of a clang as it hit the shield, in his mind, he could hear the groans and whimpers of explosions on a small, green-haired kid's body. It made him cringe in self-disgust and anger at being no better that these dicks.
'How am I any better than that dickhead blonde?' Bakugou thought, seeing himself in Hodge's place, blonde hair and mocking names alike. He peered at both Izuku and Ibarra. 'How can I be with her when I am...me? And...we never did resolve our past, did we De-Izuku?'
"Hey, don't worry, pal." The show manager said as Cap came down the stairs while the girls ran past him. "They'll warm up to you. Don't worry."
"Doubt it." Kamakiri muttered.
Izuku, coat over his costume, sat on the stairs, rain falling and thunder rumbling in the background, as he drew in his journal of a bunch of clowns laughing and cheering for him: a smiling, dancing monkey, in his uniform and shield, with an umbrella on a unicycle.
"Deku." Uraraka muttered.
The rest of the girls frowned at seeing their crush, or rather crush's duplicate, picture and draw himself as nothing more than a dancing monkey.
Izuku chuckled sadly. 'Feeling's mutual.' He mentally thought to himself.
His thoughts were snapped by Nejire' voice. "Hey, Deku, that's a really good drawing." Nejire said. "And that train design looks really good too. I didn't know that you could draw so well. Do you draw? Is that what you do in your notebooks? Can I maybe see them?"
"Nejire!" Ryukyu cried out. "I don't think now is the time to-"
"No no, its okay." Izuku muttered as he pulled out a semi-burnt notebook, this one reading Number 13, from the backpack by his feet. "Here. I do actually draw. Although, I don't think its any way near as good as his."
As Izuku handed the book to Nejire, she looked over the pages in silence. Before Izuku could cringe and apologize for his 'bad drawing skills', Nejire said "Are you kidding, 'Zuzu? These are Amazing!"
Izuku was taken back by Nejire's comment, staring at her in surprise and disbelief.
"I mean look!" Nejire said excitedly, those near here peeking towards the notebook in hand. "This drawing of Mount Lady and Kamui Woods looks amazing! You highlighted every curve of hers and that detail on the wood on Kamui Woods looks amazing! Even your Death Arms drawings look spot on!"
The three mentioned heroes perked at their name and looked over intrigued. Getting a glimpse of themselves, both Kamui and Death Arms felt a swell of pride and flattery, appreciative of the green-haired fanboys praise and clear hard work on their drawings. Mount Lady, seeing her drawing look like a perfect recreation and the analysis and notes to improve herself and her skills, smiled too, but not teasingly or seductive as she normally did, but one genuine and appreciative. The Number 13th Hero felt her heart skip a beat and even blush, much to her later surprise and confusion.
"Hey, you even wrote about us!" Nejire pointed out, pointing at a drawing and analysis on herself and his many of his classmates.
"Let me see that." Kirishima said, taking the book from the blue-haired girl, looking at his own page, his smile growing wider. "Midobro, this is awesome! I don't know who told put that idea in your head, but your drawings are WAY Far from not good enough! There's even some tidbits here that I hadn't even thought of! Do you think I can use this later to help train myself?!"
"U-Um, y-yeah, sure." Izuku stuttered out.
"Awesome!" Kirishima yelled. "You, my friend, and your drawings are truly awesome and Manly!"
Izuku gaped in shock at the praise, his gaping mouth shutting close and formed a small, happy smile. "Thanks, guys." He turned to Nejire and Kirishima, smiling brightly, blush on his cheeks and tear in his eye. "That means a lot."
The two smiled back, Nejire's giddily and blushing while Kirishima's appreciative and with a manly thumbs up. Bakugou looked at the book with flinching eyes, remembering how he held the book when it was normal, before exploding it, burning it, and tossed it out the window like it was trash. He flinched all the more when he remembered the words he uttered right after.
Nezu looked down towards the book and smiled, rubbing his chin as he looked at the impressive analysis and details of the Green Bean, knowing he may have found a successor of his own in the mind and analysis. However, as Nejire passed it to Kirishima, his attention focused more on the burn marks of the book, how the back of the book held marks that he analyzed looked to be in the near shape of a human hand, like a fire based Quirk was responsible, most accurately, by the soot marks and burns, an explosion or explosion-like Quirk. His analysis was made all the more correct as he noticed the guilt and flinch in the suspect's eyes.
"Hello, Izuku." Izuku turned to find Setsuna Carter behind him.
"Its Setsuna!" Pony pointed out.
"Yes, yes, I'm back everybody." Setsuna bowed mockingly. "I have returned to grace you all with my presence."
Itsuka and Ibarra rolled their eyes.
"Hi." Izuku greeted back.
"Hi." Setsuna greeted back with a smile.
"What are you doing here?" He asked to the agent.
Setsuna set her coat down and sat on the stairs above his. "Officially, I'm not here at all." She replied. "That was quite a performance."
"Y-Yeah." Rogers replied. "I had to improvise a little bit. The crowds I'm used to are usually more, uh...twelve."
"And I understand you're 'America's New Hope'." Carter stated.
All Might and David couldn't help the smile that grew at the title. Even if it felt just that, a title, it made the two feel like Toshinori's successor was more and more like the Symbol of Peace, even in another world.
"Bond sales take a 10% bump in every state I visit." Rogers pointed out.
"Is that Senator Brandt I hear?" Setsuna asked.
Izuku was silent before replying with "At least he's got me doing this. Phillips would have had me stuck in a lab."
"I get the feeling that Midoriya is trying to convince himself that he is doing good, but is still disappointed he's not a real soldier." Asui bluntly said.
"And these are your only two options?" Setsuna asked, gesturing to his notebook. "A lab rat or a dancing monkey? You were meant for more than this, you know." Izuku looked at her before looking around silently. "What?" She asked.
"You know, for the longest time I dreamed about...coming overseas and being on the front lines, serving my country" Izuku answered, Setsuna listening intently. "I finally got everything I wanted...and I'm wearing tights."
"A rather appropriate use of the phrase 'Be careful what you wish for'." Tokoyami sagely said.
Izuku frowned and pondered. 'Even when I go pro, I guess I will likely have to do interviews, talks, and make deals for merch and that kind of stuff, like All Might did, but,' Izuku thought. 'That doesn't really feel like what a Hero should do.'
A car horn honking caught the two's attention. They looked as a medical truck pulled up, soldiers with medical signs on their heads rushed to the car and carried a bloodied and battered man in a gurney.
The students flinched at the bloody sight of the wounded men, most especially Iida, as, in his eyes, the soldiers being carried away reminded him of his brother, Tensei, after his encounter with Stain.
"They look like they've been through hell." Rogers noted.
"These men more than most." Carter replied. As Izuku looked at her, Setsuna elaborated with "Schmidt sent out a force to Azzano. Two hundred men went up against him, and less than 50 returned."
"Jesus." Kaminari hissed.
"Could they have used weapons powered by that cube?" Sato asked.
"Its been likely months since that scene where he killed those Nazi officers, so he most likely manufactured more weapons during that time." Shoji responded.
"You audience contained what was left of the 107th." Setsuna revealed. "The rest were killed or captured."
The gears in Izuku mind clicked, his eyes widening and as he paled in horror. "No." He gasped out.
Melissa looked at Izuku confused, before she could ask, the video continued and answered her.
Nezu frowned, rubbing his chin, while glancing at Endeavor, wondering how the new Number 1 would likely take the news.
Izuku whirled to Setsuna, horrified realization in his eyes. "The 107th?!" He questioned shocked.
Todoroki and Endeavor's eyes too widened, the familiar number clicking in their head.
"What?" Setsuna asked worried.
"Come on!" Izuku yelled as he ran out to the rain, Setsuna behind him with her coat over her head to block the rain.
"Wait, what's so special about 107th?" Hagakure questioned, scratching her invisible head.
"I guess we just have to continue watching to know." Ojiro replied.
"Colonel Phillips." Izuku greeted as the two walked into a tent with the Colonel.
"Well, if it isn't the Star-Spangled Man With A Plan." Phillips greeted mockingly. "What is your plan today?"
"I see that your other self hasn't changed from snarky asshole." Mount Lady said to Death Arms.
"Hey, other me calls it as he sees it." Death Arms defended himself. "Not something that I can change."
"I need the casualty list from Azzano." Rogers requested.
"You don't get to give me order, son." Phillips shook his head.
"I just need one name," Izuku pressed on. "Sergeant Shoto Barnes, from the 107th."
Eyes widened in an instant, most of the students glancing towards the scarred face teen. Said teen's appearance lacked emotion and response, except the anxious finger scratching the side of his other arm. The pros did the same towards Endeavor, noticing that the new Number 1's heat from his fire was getting hotter, Hawks noticing Endeavor's narrowed eyes hiding fear and worry.
Phillips looked to Setsuna and pointed at her. "You and I are gonna have a conversation later that you won't enjoy." He said.
"Wha...Excuse me?" Setsuna raised her eyebrow and replied. "What did I do?"
"Told Midoriya about likely classified information that clearly upsets him because of his friend." Yui answered.
"Oh." Setsuna merely said.
"Please tell me if he's alive sir." Izuku insisted. "B-A-R-"
"I can spell." Phillips interrupted Rogers. After a second of staring, the Colonel's eyes lowered and sighed before getting up. "I signed more of these condolences letters today than I would care to count. But the name does sound familiar." Phillips turned to Izuku once more and answered honestly and sincerely "I'm sorry."
Izuku's shoulders slumped, mouth agape and eyes full of sorrow and disbelief. Setsuna looked at the Rogers with sadness and pity.
The room grew silent, the only noise sounding in the empty room the cracking and slight roar of Endeavor's rising flames. The pros looked at the their new leader and Number 1 to see his fists clenched, mouth opened to reveal clenched, grinding teeth, and his flames rising bigger in rage. Hawks and Toshinori looked at the man in pity and sadness, knowing that the father wasn't too happy to hear that his son was likely dead.
'Other world or not, I know that no parent would not react strongly to hear of their child's death.' Toshinori thought. 'David and I would likely be as enraged and sorrowful if Melissa was hurt or...worse. And I know Inko and I would feel horrible if anything happened to Mido...huh, would you look at that.' Toshinori held and small smile on his face. 'Didn't take long for me to see Midoriya as my own son, huh?'
"Endeavor, while I understand your clear anger towards this development, I ask that you calm yourself before you burn the gym down." Nezu ordered softly.
"Yes...yes of course." Endeavor mumbled out. "Forgive me." While his flames died down, his fists were still tightly clenched. 'Shoto is still alive here. He's still alright. And his other self is likely alright too. I... I know it.' Endeavor thought. 'He's not dead. He can't be. Not like him. Not like Touya.'
With Shoto himself, he was aware of the stares and the 'I'm sorry's' aimed at him, including a hand on his shoulder from Yaoyorozo, to which he replied with a nod, but his focus remained inward with his thoughts. Whether it be disbelief that he was dead or logic, the white-and-red-haired teen knew that he wasn't 100% dead. 'A large military force like theirs would likely not all be dead.' He thought. 'Beside 50 that returned, there's a strong chance that there are survivors, perhaps including myself. I have a feeling I'm not out just yet.' He stared at the teen sitting in front of him. 'And from the looks of it, I'm not the only one.'
Izuku was silent once more, his eyes shadowed by his hair. Melissa looked at Deku worryingly, a trait shared by the rest of the girls. The blonde placed a hand on Izuku's shoulder. "Izuku-"
"He's not dead." Izuku cut her off, his head raised, his eyes shown to be serious and determined. "I know what you are going to say, but he's not dead."
"How do you know that?" Melissa asked.
"If a group of hundreds faced down any enemy force was a beaten, the only three things that could happen in the event of a defeat is either retreat, imprisonment, or...and I'm sure that not everyone else is dead. But, mostly, its just a feeling." He looked to Melissa. "You understand?"
Melissa had a moment of hesitance, wondering if Izuku was just in denial, but nodded all the same, seeing the logic in his words.
Izuku quickly shook his head and continued, his voice slightly strained, with "What about the others? Are you planning a rescue mission?"
"Yeah, its called winning the war." The Colonel replied.
Izuku turned back to the Colonel, shock in his eyes at the answer. "But if you know where they are, why not at least-"
"They're 30 miles behind the lines, through some of the most heavily fortified territory in Europe." Phillips cut Izuku off. "We'd lose more men than we'd save."
"So there are prisoners." Melissa said, looking to Izuku, who looked all the more serious and determined.
"I guess that makes sense why he doesn't want to risk a rescue operation." Kirishima muttered as Phillip's reply. "But...its just seems not manly to leave your brothers in arms with the enemy."
"Says the guy that gathered an illegal rescue operation to save Bakugou from the League of Villains." Asui pointed out, still harboring ill feelings at their risky adventure, especially with Izuku, who went despite his recent injuries.
"I understand that you still feel strongly about our decision to save Bakugou, Tsu, but again, you knew that we couldn't sit by while we knew where he was and not help." Momo replied. 'Nor could I not allow Izuku to go without me.'
"Bakugou was captured when I wasn't looking and I failed to grab him from the Villains." Todoroki stated, remembering how Mr. Compress captured Bakugou and Tokoyami and when he reached towards the marble holding Bakugou and failed to grab it before Dabi. "I couldn't stand back and not help. Plus, I don't like to be indebted to a hothead."
"HEY!" Bakugou shouted in reply.
"We understood the actions we took were not permitted and we were willing to face the consequences of our actions." Iida said, memories of Tensei's beaten bloodied state and then Izuku's appearing in his mind. "And I couldn't stand back and leave my friends to get hurt, not as Class Rep."
"I know that nothing we say will change how you feel, As-Tsu, but I failed to save him once before," Izuku said, remembering how he ran towards Bakugou and uselessly couldn't save him. "I wasn't going to do so again. And I never will."
Asui nodded in reply, a sad smile of understanding on her face, the same with the rest of the students of 1-A and the the students of 1-B smiling in respect at hearing the whole story about the five's illegal mission to save Bakugou, with only Monoma in denial, thinking they were just trying to show off. The teachers and pros, while outside remained against their decision, especially Aizawa, inside however, they couldn't be more proud of the heroic nature of these true heroes in training.
"But I don't expect you to understand that because you're a chorus girl." Phillips finished.
"Okay, I was with him at first, but that was just unnecessary." Itsuka noted.
"Midoriya does not really have any actual combat experience." Yui pointed out. "He might have military training, but his lack of experience could be a negative in regards to actual military strategy and operation."
"Couldn't have put it better myself." Vlad said proudly. "Nicely said, Kodai."
Izuku glared heavily at Phillips. "I think I can understand just fine." He said evenly.
"Well, then understand it somewhere else." Phillips retorted before walking past him. "If I read the posters correctly, you got someplace to be in 30 minutes."
Izuku stared at the map, looking at where the Hydra base was and where the soldiers were being kept. "Yes, sir. I do." Izuku said before marching out of the tent.
"Oh man." Sero chuckled. "Are we going to see Midoriya go rogue and rescue someone again?"
"Somethings never change across universes, do they, Aizawa?" All Might chuckled to Aizawa.
"If he wasn't from another world, I would not hesitate to expel him in an instant." Aizawa replied.
"Oh please, Shouta, you know full well you would have just give him suspension, a slap on the wrist, and commend him behind his back." Midnight replied.
Aizawa chose to remain silent.
Setsuna looked at Izuku marching off, looking back to the map as he eyes lit, realizing what Rogers planned to do. "If you have something to say, right now is the perfect time to keep it to yourself." Phillips pointed at Setsuna without looking.
"If you say so, boss." Setsuna grinned.
"Not really the best response, eh DA?" Mount Lady teased.
Death Arms face-palmed at his own obliviousness.
"Perhaps he knew what Rogers was going to do and said those words so that he wouldn't officially know and be held accountable for Roger's actions?" Kamui theorized.
"Or he just was being a snarky asshole and didn't want to hear her talk back." Miruko responded.
Setsuna rushed into a tent to see Izuku grabbing clothes and a helmet, the blue tights of his suit replaced by brown pants. "What do you plan to do, walk to Austria?" Carter questioned the super soldier.
"If that's what it takes. "Izuku said as he continued packing.
"You heard the Colonel." Setsuna continued. "Your friend is most likely dead."
"You don't know that." Izuku replied stubbornly.
"Even so, he's devising a strategy." Setsuna insisted. "If he detects-"
"By the time he's done that, it could be too late." Rogers cut her off with his voice raised.
"Its like I'm staring at a clone." Kyouka chuckled, looking to Izuku. "Never one to leave someone behind, huh, 'Zuku?"
Izuku smiled back, one that made Kyouka blush. Izuku looked back to Eri and patted her head, to her delight. "Never."
"Manly." Kirishima muttered while wiping away manly tears.
"Izuku!" Setsuna yelled as Izuku marched out of the tent.
The 'chorus girl' placed his shield and pack into the back of a jeep, a brown, leather coat over his suit. He looked back to the agent and asked "You told me you thought I was meant for more than this. Did you mean that?"
"Every word." Carter answered.
Izuku and Setsuna blushed at the looks their counterparts gave each other, peeking towards each other, before noticing their stares and turning away with a blush, an act not gone unnoticed by their respective friend's teasing smiles.
"Then you got to let me go." Rogers replied, climbing into the seat of the jeep.
As he started the engines, Carter rushed to his side. "I can do more than that." She said.
"Yay, Setsuna's going to help!" Pony cheered excitedly.
"Of course, I would." Setsuna smiled. "How could I not join the fun?"
"I'm starting to think that perhaps it was fortunate that our classes weren't closer back at the Training Camp." Vlad whispered to Aizawa. "Because if they were, I wouldn't be surprised that Tokage and some of them joined them too, just for the fun of it."
Aizawa nodded in agreement.
"On stage, girls. Five minutes!" A man declared as the stage girls rushed for their helmets.
One of them rushed to an empty slot with confusion. "Where's my helmet?" She asked as she looked at the other helmets.
"Anyone seen Rogers?" The man asked.
"Midoriya, did you steal a helmet from that poor girl?" Setsuna questioned with a teasing smile.
"I uh I didn't mean too!" Izuku stuttered with a blush. "I-I-I don't have control over my other self's actions, a-and I'm sure he had a reason to take it. M-Maybe its because he's going to be headed to a warzone and needed a helmet for protect-"
"Chill dude, I was just messing with you." Setsuna calmed the teen down. "I know you wouldn't steal something unless you absolutely needed it. Doesn't suit your style."
"T-Thanks, Tokage." Izuku replied.
"What's with this 'Tokage' crap?" Setsuna questioned, her head disconnected and floated to be inches away from Izuku, her floating hands poking at his head. "Its Setsuna to you, dude. No last name formalities here. Got it?"
"G-Got it!" Izuku blushed at the proximity. "T-Then, just call me Izuku."
"Nah!" Setsuna replied. "I like Green Bean or Greenie more. You got a problem with that?"
"N-N-No!" Izuku replied, his blush deepening from the name. "I think its fine, Setsuna."
Setsuna smiled brightly, a tiny blush of her cheeks as well. "Much better!"
As she returned her body parts, she was aware of the glares of jealousy from her 'competition', and simply smiled in the small victory. ''Besides,' Setsuna thought. 'Its not like I'm not open to sharing.'
The scene cut to a plane sailing through the night sky, the Stark logo on the tail of the plane illuminated by the moonlight overhead.
"Did they just steal your dad's plane?" Sero asked Bakugou.
"Like hell my old man would just let them take it without a fight!" Bakugou yelled back. "If he's the stubborn badass here that he is in the present of this world, he's likely playing the plane instead!"
"The Hydra camp is in Krausberg, tucked between these two mountain ranges." Setsuna said inside the plane, pointing at a map by her lap while Izuku fiddled with his jacket, a dark blue helmet with a white A in the middle and goggles over them on his head. "Its a factory of some kind."
"We should be able to drop you right on the doorstep." Masaru's voice shouted for the cockpit as he rode the plane.
"See?!" Bakugou pointed.
"Okay, man, chill." Sero raised his hands in defense. "We get it, your dad's a rebel like you."
"Just get me as close as you can." Izuku replied.
"So your dad helped Midoriya." Sato said. "Kind of weird. Reminds me that in this world, Midoriya's older than than you, Bakugou."
"HA!" Bakugou yelled. "That Just Means That He's An Weak, Old Man Compared To Me!"
"If he lives for that long." Tokoyami muttered.
"Tokoyami, respectfully, please shut up." Nejire growled sweetly, as her hands sparked.
Tokoyami nodded quickly, nervously scooting away from the 3rd year student. Above him, Hawks chuckled at how dark, stoic Tokoyami was so frightened, but given who was threatening him, the Number Two Hero couldn't really blame his protege.
"You know, you two are gonna be in a lot of trouble when you land." Izuku said to Setsuna and Masaru.
"And you won't?" Setsuna retorted.
"Where I'm going, if anybody yells at me, I can just shoot them." Izuku replied.
"Jeez dude." Kaminari chuckled. "Kind of dark, but nice retort."
"Thanks." Izuku said.
"It is kind of jarring to think of 'Zuku shooting at people." Kyouka noted.
"Unfortunately, he is at war." Snipe said. "While we Heroes always try to apprehend the Villains, hell most of my bullets are all non-lethal, but there will be times where the option to take a life will be faced with you."
"Agreed." Aizawa nodded at Snipe's words. "As always, lethal force should always be seen as an absolute Last resort, but there will come a time when you the decision will weigh on you to do so or not. And it will be up to you as future Heroes to decide whether to take a life or not."
The students were left silent with that metaphorical slap of realism, especially towards Izuku, but just, collectively and wordlessly, decide to move on with the video.
"They will undoubtedly shoot back." Carter replied back.
"Well, let's hope its good for something." Rogers said as he patted the American-colored shield by his side.
"Oh yeah, that thing is a shield." Ojiro said. "But can it actually block bullets?"
"In that movie that Muscles was in, they showed a scene where they shot at the shield with a projectile." Mei said. "I highly doubt it was a bullet, there was no loud sound or ricochet, but the clang of the metal of that shield likely means that it heavy enough to endure perhaps a few gun shot at most, and maybe leave dents on that, admittingly, fabulous looking baby."
"Agent Carter?" Masaru called out. "If we're not in too much of a hurry, I thought we could stop off in Lucerne for a late-night fondue."
The two were silent as Setsuna and Izuku looked at each other with awkward tension.
The same awkward silence permeated the gym. The guys looking away or scratching their heads, or both, while the girls couldn't help the vindictive smiles on their faces.
"Awkward." Mineta hissed out.
"It would be if your classmate's pops was flirting/possibly dating your crush." Kaminari whispered out.
Bakugou heard, his eyebrow twitching in anger at his dad flirting with a woman not his mother.
"HAHAHA!" Monoma laughed. "Oh what a shame. To be rejected for another, richer man. But then who would want to date a sniveling, stuttering, nervous lose-*WHAM*!"
Monoma ended up flat on the floor, not by Kendo's chop to the neck, but a flying disembodied fist to the face, said owner of the hand not looking apologetic whatsoever. Meanwhile, the girls that were once smiling vindictively now didn't know whether to be more worried over Setsuna's obvious interest in their crush, or give the girl a medal for doing something that they were all a millisecond from doing themselves.
"Stark is the best civilian pilot I've ever seen." Setsuna shook herself and said. "He's mad enough to brave this airspace. We're lucky to have him."
"A bit of a coincidence since he's own son ends up flying in a metal suit." Hawks chuckled.
"Like father like son, I suppose." Edgeshot replied.
Izuku nodded silently. "So, are you two...Do you..." He stammered and pointed at the two of them, much to Setsuna's stare to continue. "...Fondue?"
With Izuku, he simply frowned and tried to tune out the pompous member of 1-B, but no amount of mental fortitude could stop Izuku from recalling one eventful and painful memory of him opening his locker to find a letter that was supposedly a love letter, reading it and going to where it told him to go, and find himself in a world of rejection and ridicule from the prank it turned out to be...and later a world of hurt as he remembered being kicked in the stomach, the lead kicker a certain spiky blonde, so much that he vomited out his lunch.
Setsuna ignored the question quickly by handing Izuku a device. "This is your transponder." She said. "Activate it when you're ready and the signal will lead us straight to you."
Izuku looked to the device and called out to Masaru. "Are you sure this thing works?" He asked.
"Its been tested more than you, pal." Masaru replied.
The plane suddenly rocked, bright explosions blasting off around them from artillery fire. Masaru steered and maneuvered the plane back and forth, evading a few artillery shells from below.
"Oh no!" Pony exclaimed.
Izuku got up from his seat and towards the door on the side of the plane. "Get back here!" Carter yelled, as she got up after Rogers. "We're taking you all the way in!"
"I don't think that's going to be possible with the dozens of artillery firing on you in a big plane." Sen said.
Izuku opened the door and looked outside to the artillery firing at them and the woods below. "As soon as I'm clear, you turn this thing around and get the hell out of here!" He yelled out.
"Wait, Deku's going to jump?!" Uraraka questioned loudly.
"Well it looks like he has a parachute." Hagakure said.
"It is still risky." Momo said. "He could get shot down by an artillery shell or explosion."
"Since when does Midori not do anything risky?" Mina questioned.
"You can't give me orders!" Carter yelled.
"The hell I can't!" Rogers yelled in reply. "I'm a Captain!"
"Now that's a Manly response!" Tetsutetsu yelled.
Setsuna would have to agree with her hardheaded classmate, for upon hearing that response and his later smirk, Setsuna could not help but shudder and smile, a blush adorned on her cheeks.
With a last smirk and pulling down his goggles to his eyes, Izuku jumped out the plane. Setsuna looked down to see Izuku diving to the ground, evading artillery fire and opening up his parachute to fall safely to the ground.
Setsuna looked on in worry as the plane veered and soared back to base.
Setsuna peered to her side to see the smirking, teasing faces of Ibarra and Shiozaki, but quickly chose to ignore them.
The scene changed to the inside of the Hydra facility, Schmidt and Garaki walking by a dozen or so scientists and workers working on various objects and devices, all of which glowed cosmic blue with the power of the Tesseract.
"Well that's not good." Hawks frowned. "They have a whole factory full of those weapon and energy."
"With likely more factories around Europe." Edgeshot added. "If one bolt of energy could disintegrate a person into ashes in an instant-"
"Then what damage can a whole factories worth of that energy cause?" Endeavor finished Edgeshot's question.
"As you can see, production of the Valkyrie is progressing on schedule," Garaki said as he gestured around them. "Even with components of this size."
"The Valkyrie?" Ojiro questioned. "Is it some kind of super weapon that they are building?"
"Most likely." Shishida said. "The name of the Valkyrie comes from Nordic myths of winged, women warriors of Odin that would bring righteous souls that fell in battle to Vahalla. Whatever this Schmidt intends for this super weapon to be, the name clearly makes him believe that he is a god himself with that power."
"Increase the output by 60%." Schmidt replied as they stopped abruptly. "And see to it our other facilities do the same."
Garaki looked at Schmidt in confusion. "But these prisoners," Garaki chuckled nervously. "I-I'm not sure they have the strength."
Schmidt merely smiled and replied with "Then use up what strength they have left, Doctor." He shifted to turn away. "There are always more workers."
"They are experimenting of them." Nezu noted, his tail bristling and his black, animal eyes practically glared with hatred at the screen. "How disgusting."
The teachers shivered in fear, knowing full well of how dangerous the Principal of U.A. can be. All Might knew that Nezu has bad experiences with live experimentation, the Principal himself a subject of experimentation before his freedom.
Schmidt walked away from the doctor, who blinked and stuttered, before sighing. A worker came up to him with a paper. "Not now!" Garaki dismissed the man in frustration, before walking away.
The scene changed again to a number of cylindrical cages, the top of them opened to reveal the floor above them, yet still caged by bars. They housed groups of Allied Forces, caged as prisoners. Several men were lined up and escorted into cages by large Hydra soldiers wielding large guns strapped to their arms and supported on their backs by a pack with the same comic blue energy powering it.
The group frowned at the number of cramped cages the soldiers were put in. Izuku frowned and knew that his counterpart made the right call to go and save them, orders be damned.
The screen focused on a group of four, including a large black man with a helmet, a British man with a red cap, a disheveled French one, a Japanese-American, and a man with a bushy mustache and a bowler hat. The man was shoved roughly by the Hydra soldier to get into the cage, much to the man's eyeroll and annoyance. As the man entered the cage, the Hydra soldier swatted the bowler hat off the man's head, revealing more of his blonde hair.
"You know, Fritz," The man spoke as one of his new cell mates handed him the cap and he turned to the Hydra Soldier, who's hand was on the cell gate. The man looked at the Hydra soldier straight in the face and smiled. "One of these days, I'm gonna have a stick of my own."
The Hydra soldier simply smirked and slammed the gate close in the man's face and walked away, the now caged man glaring at the soldier as he walked off.
"MULTIVERSAL COUNTERPART DETECTED!" F.R.I.D.A.Y. spoke up and pulled out an image of the man with the bowler hat. "TIMOTHY ALLOYSIUS CADWALLER DUGAN! ALLIAS: DUM DUM DUGAN! MULTIVERSAL COUNTERPART: DAIGORO BANJO aka LARIAT!"
And image was shown next to Dugan of a gruff, bald, smirking man, goggles on his forehead, hairs around his chin and sides of his jaw, and wearing a black coat with white armor on the shoulders and his naked chest only covered by a black strap running across his chest.
"Who's that?" Honenuki questioned.
"Not sure." Shoda said. "But I think he might be a Hero of some kind with that name, but I've never heard of him before."
"Is he an Underground Hero like Aizawa, or a Vigilante?" Ojiro asked.
Meanwhile, as the group frowned and questioned over the man's identity, a certain group of people were currently freaking the hell out. Izuku's and All Might's eyes widened in shock and pure fear, the former emotion for seeing another past wielder of One For All appearing and the latter for it being once more broadcasted to the entire group. All Might looked down towards Midoriya who he saw was scratching his head, but the former Hero picked up on something. Izuku was scratching in a pattern of five scratches and then pausing, before scratching five times once more.
'He's subtly trying to convey something to me without looking overly suspicious, by scratching his head to appear just as confused as the rest of them.' All Might thought. 'He's scratching his head five times before pausing and doing again. Five. The Fifth User! So that's him. The past wielder who held the original Black Whip Quirk.'
With Izuku, he stopped with his scratching before it became too obvious, hoping that All Might got the message. For the Green Bean, he was terrified that yet another wielder of One For All was shown to the group, yet was thankful that it didn't cause another reaction like it did with the First. He was also grateful that F.R.I.D.A.Y. didn't specify a person's Quirk, imagining the explaining he'd have to do upon noticing that his Black Whip Quirk was the same Quirk as another person's.
'Actually, if she did, then our secret would have been revealed when All Might was shown as Thor, as well as me.' Izuku thought. 'But this is the second time that a past holder of One For All was revealed, not including All Might. Are they their counterparts because of their connection to me? First it was the First, and now the Fifth. Who else will be seen? Will All Might's predecessor, Nana Shimura be here, too?'
"Well, no matter who that Lariat guy is, his counterpart's name sounds super Manly." Tetsutetsu said. "Dum Dum Dugan. Sounds badass!"
Izuku sighed in relief when the others nodded in agreement and voiced their thoughts to move one. The Ninth wielder of the Quirk looked to see Kacchan staring at him, a clear message in his eyes. 'Is that one of those damn vestiges?' Izuku could even hear it perfectly in his head in Kacchan's voice. The Green Bean turned back to the screen, subtly nodding his head in reply.
Bakugou looked at the image of the Fifth wielder of All Might's and now Deku's Quirk. 'So that's one of them, huh?' Bakugou thought. 'Not much to looked at, but he does look a bit cool. Actually with how he looks like and how Deku described him, this must be the guy who had Black Whip, that same Quirk that popped up in the Joint Training Exercise. Maybe we can see more of the other holders when they are shown?'
Meanwhile, as the video continued, they were made blissfully unaware of how it wasn't only All Might and Bakugou who caught Izuku's message sending attempt.
Izuku was shown running through the dark woods, his American-themed shield on his back. He stopped as he stared by the edge of the woods meeting a road to see the Hydra facility, distinct shouting heard as searchlights on a watchtower swept over the gates of the entrance. Hearing the sound of a moving vehicles, Rogers quickly ducked and turned to the oncoming vehicles, that being a line of trucks with sheet- roofed backs and openings in the back. Making his choice, as the last truck drove slowly past him, Izuku quickly got out and ran to the back of the truck and jumped onto it.
"Good." Aizawa said, tearing his eyes away from Midoriya. "He's searching his surroundings for both prying eyes and a means of entering, using the woods and night to his advantage. He also displayed competent quick-thinking and sound enough judgement, waiting for the last truck to enter and use it as his means of entrance. Not bad."
Izuku and All Might smiled in confidence and pride.
But as Rogers got inside, he was met with the mask-covered, yet obviously surprised, couple of Hydra soldiers.
"But he failed to check if there were people inside the back." Aizawa finished.
A comical sweat of embarrassment and amusement ran down their heads.
"Fellas." Rogers greeted.
"Yeah, 'cause that's how you greet evil soldiers that caught you." Fat Gum snickered.
The Hydra goons rushed him with a shout. The scene changed to the outside of the truck, the flaps of the back moving and the sounds of punches and grunts sounded. After the shouts, grunts, and punches went silent, an unconscious Hydra soldier flew out the back and rolled onto the road, his fellow unconscious goon joining him a second later.
The group chuckled and applauded at the scene.
"Quick, efficient, and tossing away their bodies to avoid detection should they inspect the back and sound an alarm." Vlad King said. "Well done."
"But wouldn't they get heard by the driver?" Sen asked.
"The truck is moving and its wheels going through a forest, and the roar of the engine, would have likely be toned down to where they can't be heard unless you were paying attention." Snipe replied.
Soon after, the trucks reached the gates and passed by easily.
"He's in." Kaminari noted.
"Yeah, I bet that's what the girls say when that bastard Midoriya has them all in his bed." Mineta whispered silently and jealously."
"You really need to stop thinking about that all the time, dude." Kaminari groaned. "Its starting to get old."
"Getting old implies that it was ever funny or accepted in the first place." Sero said.
The trucks rolled up towards a loading garage, a single Hydra goon on guard for each of the trucks who's back came up to them. A Hydra goon opened the flap of the truck to reveal the shield. The Hydra goon leaned in confused before Rogers slammed the shield onto his the Hydra goon, who was sent flying into the room behind him with a thud. Izuku got out of the truck, quickly looked at his surrounding before rushing out to the side of the truck, avoiding the gaze of a few Hydra goons.
"Who know that Midoriya would be such a expert ninja?" Present Mic said. "You know given how he can make finger snaps that can destroy a whole iceberg and the green lightning that shoots out of him."
"I highly doubt that this Midoriya has the same powers and capabilities as our own." Midnight responded.
Izuku quickly and sneakily jogged throughout the Hydra camp, hiding behind a few armored and advanced vehicles that appeared like armored cars. Izuku looked around to look for any eyes at his direction, before running out towards a large vehicle with a mounted gun/cannon on the top. The super soldier climbed onto the top and hopped onto the rood of the small building next to the vehicle, before running towards the large Hydra facility.
Mei, Melissa, and David quickly inspected the vehicles that Rogers hid and passed through, frowning in worry at the caliber of firepower that the tank-like vehicle he climbed on could have.
Inside, Rogers stopped at a door to the main factory and tapped at the door lightly, light clanging sounding off. A nearby Hydra goon noticed at moved the door. The goon opened the door and peeked out to see who was there, only for Izuku to slam the door onto the side of the goon's head, slamming it also the wall of the door. Izuku followed it up with a quick punch to the face, the Hydra soldier letting out a single grunt before falling flat on the ground, unconscious. Izuku dragged the rest of the body of the unconscious soldier into the hallway he came from and slowly and carefully entered the room and closed the door behind him.
"I don't why but seeing a body get dragged away in movies always make me chuckle." Sero said.
Izuku hid behind a pile of crates, looking around and maneuvering through the facility, stealthily hiding behind various machines and large objects with his gun out. Izuku peeked out from a large object before looking at and moving towards a pile of devices, all of which were glowing with the cube's power stored inside them.
"Jesus." Pixie Bob cursed. "With how powerful the energy can be, that table's worth looks like enough to level a city block perhaps."
"I hope your wrong, but I have a bad feeling you aren't." Mandalay replied.
Izuku stared at the devices in bewilderment and confusion, before quickly grabbing one of the devices, a rectangular cartage-looking device with the blue energy inside, inspected it, and stashed it into his pocket.
"He's taking evidence of the blue energy to deliver it to the army and find out what it could be." Iida summarized. "Astute decision making, Midoriya."
"Thanks Iida." Izuku thanked him.
The scene changed again to the caged soldier huddled around as a single Hydra goon patrolled above them. Above the cage with the prior group of five, the Hydra soldier fell from a metallic thud and laid unconscious on the bars above them. The group of five looked up and got up to see Rogers above them and the fallen Hydra soldier, grabbing the keys from his person.
"Yay! He found them!" Pony cheered.
The black man looked to the man holding a American-themed shield with confusion. "Who are you suppose to be?" He asked.
"MULTIVERSAL COUNTERPART DETECTED!" FRIDAY once more paused the video and focused on the man. "GABRIEL JONES! MULTIVERSAL COUNTERPART: ERROR!ERROR! MULTIVERSAL COUNTERPART CLASIFIED UNDER MASTER ZAYDEN'S ORDERS!"
"Is this like with that Erskine guy from before?" Mina asked.
"Yes." Momo said. "Clearly whoever this man's counterpart in our universe is, is likely someone that we are not suppose to know, not even their name or appearance."
Izuku, Bakugou, and All Might frowned, the two likely figuring out that, much like the First's counterpart, this was likely another counterpart to a past holder of One For All. What made the three frown is that unlike the First, they don't even get a simple image or name to the holder, earning more of All Might's curiosity, Bakugou's suspicion, and Izuku's frowning confusion.
'The last time I saw all the vestiges, I saw Shimura, The Fifth, The First, and two others.' Izuku thought. 'All Might's vestige was also there as a fiery form of him, likely because All Might isn't dead yet. But there were two more that I couldn't make out. All I could make out was their shadowy forms and glowing eyes. Could this be one of them? The Second? Or the Third?'
"Interesting." Nezu said, looking towards All Might. "F.R.I.D.A.Y., is there perhaps any way you can show us an image of this individual, or is that likely classified, too?"
"I'm sorry, Nezu, but I, unfortunately, cannot." F.R.I.D.A.Y. replied. "I can't say much, but this information is currently, under Mast Zayden's direction, deemed too detrimental towards the timeline of your universe and not for your eyes and ears currently."
"And I suppose that this Zayden's knowledge of this information stems from, what he claimed as, a Watcher of the Multiverse?" Endeavor snarked with suspicion.
"Indeed, it is." F.R.I.D.A.Y. growled out, catching and not appreciating the now Number 1 Hero's tone. "I assumed that the information towards you, that Master Zayden provided in his note, was sufficient enough, Endeavor."
Endeavor flinched at the reminder, deciding best to be silent, aware of the look of suspicion of All Might, Hawks, and his fellow Heroes, whom were not privy to what Nezu whispered to him and thus unaware of of what exactly Zayden knew that they didn't. What was also clear was the look that Nezu gave him that said that they were in need of a talk sooner or later.
Izuku looked towards the men under him. "I'm...I'm Captain America."
The group smiled as Izuku said those words, All Might smiling in pride and Izuku in confidence and self-pride.
The British man with a red cap's brows scrunched in confusion and asked "I beg your pardon."
"MULTIVERSAL COUNTERPART DETECTED!" F.R.I.D.A.Y. said again. "JAMES MONTGOMERY FALSWORTH! MULTIVERSAL COUNTERPART: HIKAGE SHINOMORI!" An image of the man was shown, revealing a short white-haired, tall man with a white and black, plain suit. His most distinguishing feature was the cracked black lines running down his head, through his eye and down towards the bottom of his lips.
"Anyone know who this guy is?" Kamakiri questioned. "'Cause I sure don't."
"Not a clue." Rin said.
"Nope." Manga said, while a question mark was in his speech bubble.
"Another guy that likely none of us know." Shoji said. "But judging from his attire, he could likely be another Hero or Vigilante."
All Might looked down to see Izuku scratching his head again, this time scratching it four times before pausing and repeating. 'The Fourth, huh.' All Might thought. 'Another of the vestiges, and confusion and likely suspicion to from this.'
"Yet another of the past you-know-what's I take it?" Gran Torino asked. When All Might replied with a nod, Gran Torino sighed. "At this rate, I am just grateful that their Quirks are not being said, or we would have shit load of explaining to do. Then again, that still leaves their original Quirks a mystery, don't it?"
"I managed to research a bit of them actually." All Might said. "This only confirms some that I have found and put names to the faces. Tsukauchi, san you-"
"Say no more, I'll already do some investigation myself to help." Tsukauchi replied.
All Might nodded gratefully. As he turned back to see the image of the Shinomori, he gazed at the black scar over his face and narrowed his eyes.
As Deku stopped his messaging, Todoroki raised an eyebrow, watching the Midoriya as he once more scratched his head. The first time he chalked it up to some weird habit to scratch himself five times before pausing and continuing. This second time however made the son of Endeavor frown. 'Is Midoriya trying to subtly message someone?' Todoroki thought. 'But who?' The bi-colored haired teen looked back in time to see All Might raise his head and back to the screen. 'All Might. That's who he is likely messaging. But why? Could he be a relative of theirs?'
Izuku opened the last cage and released the last group of prisoners. Dugan looked to the Asian and said "What, we taking everybody?"
The Japanese-American pulled out his dog tags and replied "I'm from Fresno, Ace."
"What was that all about?" Mina questioned confused.
"When the Dugan man said 'taking everybody' he was referring to that man." Ectoplasm said. "By everybody, he meant that they were also taking members of the Axis powers because he's Japanese and assumed that he was an Axis soldier."
"Oh!" Mina said. "Well that's rude."
"MULTIVERSAL COUNTERPART DETECTED!" F.R.I.D.A.Y. jumped in with another scan. "JIM MORITA! MULTIVERSAL COUNTERPART: EN!" F.R.I.D.A.Y. showed an image of a black-haired man with black pants and a large blue jacket who's collar covered half his face.
"Okay, what the hell is going on?!" Setsuna exclaimed. "This is the third dude that we have no clue who he is. All I know is that this guy looks like he's cosplaying as Best Jeanist."
All Might stared, more subtly to avoid Young Todoroki's gaze, at how Izuku was scratching his head again, this time on the right side of his head, instead of the left. 'The Sixth.' All Might concluded. 'Master Shimura's predecessor, and from what I managed to find on him and Master Shimura, his Quirk is called Smokescreen. Rather obvious given his name means smoke.'
"Or perhaps Best Jeanist is cosplaying him." Momo said.
The group turned to her in confusion, All Might whirling his to see her while Izuku froze in terror.
"What do you mean, Yaomomo?" Kyouka asked.
"Yeah! The Hell Do You Mean, High Class?!" Bakugou roared out. "You Think That Best Jeanist Is Some Goddamn Copycat?!"
"That's not what I meant." Momo said. "What I mean is, perhaps the reason that we don't know who these individuals are, be they Hero, Vigilante, or something, is because they are perhaps people from the past."
"The past?" Uraraka repeated confused.
"Think about it." Momo said. "None of us know who these people are, not even Midoriya, and I find that a Hero who inspire his look of the Number 3 Hero wouldn't make some news in the media and Hero community, be they Hero or even a Vigilante. Bakugou, you spent time in Best Jeanist's Hero agency, did you see this man there?"
"N-No." Bakugou gritted out, clearly unpleased to be forced to reply in a way that might point them towards One For All's direction. "The guy was never there during my time there."
"If I may interject, I too haven't ever seen the guy's face before." Hawks interjected. "I may go fast, but I keep tabs and note on most newcomers and this guy isn't one I've seen before." 'Also someone that I haven't seen in the Paranormal Liberation Front either.'
"Exactly." Momo said. "So unless this man, and the ones that we don't know, are not Vigilante's that we haven't seen before, then they must be Heroes or Vigilante's from a time in the past that we wouldn't know of. And the F.R.I.D.A.Y. never said that the counterparts that she scanned, aren't from any specific time period. Am I right, F.R.I.D.A.Y.?"
The A.I. was silent for a moment before replying "Additional information towards these individuals that I may inform you of are currently classified, but I can say that you are right that my scanners can detect people from across your universe's timeline." Meanwhile, the A.I. was secretly grumbling. 'Perhaps, me and Master Zayden underestimated Yaoyorozo's intellect.'
Momo smiled, hearing the praise of her fellow classmates and her teachers and the pro Heroes behind her. Her heart also warmed upon Eri's own praise. "Yamomo is super smart and cool!" But beside the white-haired girl's praise, she tuned out most of the group's praise and focused on her green-haired crush in front of her. He was frozen, ye doing his best to join along with her classmates in praising her. Under normal circumstances, she would have ended up a blushing mess from Izuku's praise, but she was focused on Izuku's reaction to her discovery. It was clear that her discovery of it unnerved him and maybe even frightened him, and that there was something about this man and the others that he and All Might knew of. She picked up on Izuku's previous attempts at a subtle message, commending him for attempting to switch things by scratching the other side, but given that she was right behind him, she still picked up on it. And with the fact that Todoroki noticed and stared to where All Might was sitting, she knew that the former pro was in on this secret.
'Perhaps Bakugou too.' Momo said. 'He did seem rather tame when I asked him about whether he seen him with Best Jeanist, as if he knew the answer and yet didn't want to say anything. Izuku, just what are you three hiding from us? From me?'
"This is becoming rather alarming." Nezu said to All Might. "At this rate, Young Yaoyorozo, and probably more of her peers, could find out about One For All within the end of the First Year. That is if this machine doesn't do so first."
"Indeed." All Might frowned. "Young Yaoyorozo is brilliant, perhaps too brilliant."
"Is there anybody else?" Izuku asked as he passed by the two men as they stared each other down. "I'm looking for a Sergeant Shoto Barnes."
"There's an isolation ward in the factory," Falsworth revealed as they walked. "But no one's ever come back from it."
Endeavor clenched his fists, worry once more building up in him.
"Alright." Izuku sighed and took a moment to ponder. "The tree line is northwest, 80 yards past the gate. Get out fast and give 'em hell." Rogers walked up ahead of them. "I'll meet you guys in the clearing with anybody else I find."
"Isn't it a bit risky to face those Hydra guns unarmed?" Kaminari asked. "They are up against an army and they have no weapons."
"That's why, since they have the element of surprise, they have to act fast and hard." Kamui Woods replied. "And with their number they can quickly overwhelm the guards take their weapons."
"Additionally, their purpose is to not defeat Hydra but escape." Edgeshot added. "The element of surprise will only get them so far, but that is not their mission and should they risk attempting to defeat Hydra, they might lose more men the necessary."
"More men?" Sero asked.
"Sad to say this kid, but you didn't think everyone there was going to make it out alive in the end?" Mount Lady sadly replied.
Izuku frowned sadly. 'I can't save everyone.' Izuku said in his mind, remembering what All Might said and Nighteye's death. 'But that's just how war is, and I accept it. But what I can't accept, just like my other self, is to not try.'
"Wait." Gabriel said. "You know what you're doing?"
"Yeah. I've knocked out Adolf Hitler over 200 times." Captain America said before running off down the hall, leaving behind a bewildered group of soldiers.
"Yep, perfectly reasonable reactions to hearing someone punching Hitler 200 times." Itsuka smirked.
'But Jesus 200 times." Kyouka cursed. "That's like perhaps 200 different performances if they all were the same."
The doors to the outside slammed open and a parade of soldiers ran out from the doors. Jim and a French men stood side by side as he pointed towards something, the two running towards it. Falsworth and Jones knocked out two Hydra soldiers with a slam to the face with the rifle and a swift right hook. Dugan ran towards another Hydra goon and slammed him down with a right hook as well.
"Gotta say, these guys can fight." Kirishima said. "Manly!"
Other Hydra soldiers reacted and fired on the group of soldiers, hitting and swiftly killing a few that came at them, before they were overwhelmed and tackled.
The students, especially Izuku, flinched and frowned at the fate of the shot soldiers, but, per the words of wisdom from their teachers and Heroes, they accepted it and moved on, only hoping that a lot more soldiers come out of this alive in the end.
Dugan climbed up a large tank-like vehicle, while Jim and the Frenchman rushed a Hydra soldier with a blue-energy powered gun. The Frenchman ripped the gun away from the struggling Hydra soldier, before Jim put him in a chokehold and swiftly snapped the man's neck.
Jim looked as the Frenchman picked up the gun from the soldier and asked "You know how to use that thing?"
The Frenchman replied to his question by accidentally pulling the trigger, the gun powering up and fired a bolt of blue energy towards a wall to their right, Jim taking cover as the wall exploded into flames. The Frenchman looked to Jim surprised, Jim responding with a simple shrug and "Ok."
"MULTIVERSAL COUNTERPART DETECTED!" F.R.I.D.A.Y. declared again.
"Here we go again." Miruko rolled her eyes. "Is it going to be someone we don't know or is it 'classified'?"
"JACQUES DERNIER! ALIAS: FRENCHIE!" F.R.I.D.A.Y. continued. "MULTIVERSAL COUNTERPART! ERROR! ERROR! ANOTHER MULTIVERSAL COUNTERPART FOUND CLASIFIED UNDER MASTER ZAYDEN'S ORDERS!"
"It appears it is the second." David said.
While the students frowned over another counterpart being kept secret, Endeavor and Hawks looked between Izuku and All Might. The two Pros noticed their subtle communication through Midoriya's head scratching method, the two commending Izuku for coming up with something that appeared to fool and sneak past the group, aside from Eraser, Shoto, Yaoyorozo, and Tokage, but they still frowned, questioning why the secrecy and why the two, especially Midoriya, knew of three counterparts, and likely the other classified two given Midoriya's and All Might's reactions still. They then were quick to find that Bakugou seemed to also be in on this secret, given Midoriya and Bakugou's staring and Midoriya's subtle nod too.
'Could they also know about the identity of that Erskine guy?' Hawks pondered.
'What are the three of you hiding, All Might, Bakugou, Midoriya?' Endeavor said. 'Is it perhaps having to do with what Friday said before she cut off. One For what?'
Speaking of noticing things, Tokage too noticed the subtle messaging Green Bean sent to All Might. With a Quirk built for stealth and espionage, she knew that some Villains aren't going to outright say shit all the time, so she trainer herself to keep an eye out, literally, on things like that, subtle, barely noticeable, and this was one of them. She also managed to pick on Greenie's nod to Bakadouche, something she had been pondering calling him, and knew that whatever all this secret stuff is, that Bakugou was in on it.
'But what could Greenie, Bakadouche, and All Might be hiding?' Tokage pondered. 'I know the two are fans of All Might, Greenie more obviously, but what does this have to deal with three geezers from the past, if Yaoyorozo is right? And what's the deal with those three other ones where we can't even know their names?'
Schmidt, inside a control room, looked down at a monitor. "What is happening?" He questioned, as he saw the captured Allied forces escape and attack. Schmidt quickly went over and hit a red button, signaling an alarm. Garaki stood from his chair and looked at the footage on the monitor.
"Oh nothing, just your secure factory/death prison dealing with a prison break lead by a hunky star-spangled man. No biggie." Setsuna said, deciding to put the thoughts and curiosity away for now.
"I'm sorry, but did you just admitted that Midoriya is, what did you say, 'hunky'?" Ibarra questioned, her eyes lit up in teasing and payback.
Setsuna blushed bright red, followed quickly by Midoriya. 'Damn! I was still too caught up in it that I let that slip!'
Gabriel Jones climbed into the tank-like vehicle, finding Dugan at the wheel. "Hey." Dugan greeted. "Not exactly a Buick." He looked at the controls, confusing the man.
"That one." Gabriel pointed at a button with a label on it. "Zundung."
"Zun dung?" Kaminari questioned. "Does it mean like shit or something?"
"Its German." Iida answered. "For ignition. Likely, in this context, it means to turn on the ignition of the vehicle."
"Zundung?" Dugan repeated confused as he pushed the button nonetheless, chuckling as the machine came online.
"Get this thing going, Dugan!" Falsworth yelled as he climbed onto the vehicle as well and manned the mounted energy cannon on top.
"I didn't know you spoke German." Dugan said.
"Three semesters as Howard, switched to French, girls much cuter." Jones replied with a smirk.
"Didn't ask for the resume." Dugan responded as he got the vehicle moving. Flasworth fired the energy cannon, it blasting a large beam of blue energy that exploded a truck in a burst of flames. Dugan yelled and hollered as he drove the tank while Falsworth kept firing around at the enemy.
"Oh the irony of using one's one weapons against the enemy." Hawks said. "This time however, its Midoriya and his allies that are using it against them, rather than the other way around with Bakugou."
A comical tick mark appeared in Bakugou's head at the jape, realizing that the Number 2 Pro was wrong. In both his movies, his counterpart has had his weapons used against him multiple times. The Stark missile that gave his other self the need for that mini-reactor in his chest, Stane and that Iron Monger suit, Whiplash with his arc reactor, Hammer and his drones, and even Kirishima, one intentional and the other not. It irked the blonde haired teen that his was so careless to let that happen and the only thing that Deku has happened to him in any way similar was the fact that Schmidt was also a super soldier. And that made the him more pissed.
Schmidt and Garaki watched from the monitor as Allied forces entered the facility and clashed with his men, the Allied forces getting ahold of and using either standard weaponry or his own energy powered weapons. Schmidt narrowed and moved the camera to see Captain America easily beating his men who came at him with his fists or slamming his shield into their faces. Schmidt peered intensely at the video with focused, bloodshot eyes, scratching at his neck in irritation.
For All Might, it irked him to have Shigaraki, counterpart or not, stare at Midoriya with such intrigue, wondering, and worrying, if his successor already has a target on his back by the Leader of the League of Villains. From what Midoriya told him of what Muscular said 'taking initiative' by killing him, he found the answer was obvious.
Schmidt looked down and began flipping switches and pressing large red buttons, a timer of seven minutes appearing and started ticking down.
"Wait, is he turning on those bombs?!" Uraraka exclaimed in horror.
"But why?!" Mina questioned loudly too, not liking that explosives are being armed and set off in the same place as a certain crush of hers.
Garaki looked aghast at what his leader was doing and rushed over. "No, No!" He yelled as he tried swatting his hands away. "What are doing?"
"Our thoughts exactly." Melissa said.
"Our forces are outmatched." Schmidt simply said as he gestured to the monitor. He continued flipping switches and Garaki looked at the monitor capturing Izuku's victory after victory against multiple Hydra soldiers.
"So he's willing to destroy the factory because of Midoriya?" Sero questioned.
"And the army of former prisoners, but yes." Asui replied.
Mei was silently fuming, pissed that Schmidt was willing to destroy so many valuable 'babies' just to blow up one dude, even if it was Muscles.
Garaki stared in horror before running off, leaving his master to continue flipping switches and activating timers. Cap, now over the main facility on a large catwalk, after kicking another Hydra soldier down, he noticed Garaki running from across the room, and quickly ran down to follow him, pulling out his handgun.
"Keep moving!' Jim yelled as he fired at a Hydra soldier while Jacques disintegrated another with his newly acquired energy gun. "Grab those grenades!" A fellow soldier nearby complied, grabbing a couple of nearby grenades, pulling their pins and tossing them, the grenades exploding on Hydra soldiers that they landed near to.
Inside, Schmidt turned a lever, the device rising and revealing the Tesseract, to which he lifted by the container. The timer back in the control room showed the timer now at 2:42 and counting down fast.
"Jesus, the place is going to blow in less than 3 minutes?!" Kaminari exclaimed.
"Come on Deku, please get out of there quickly." Uraraka whispered.
Garaki was shown in a dark, green-lit room, stuffing folders and such into a briefcase in a hurry. As he went to grab his coat, the screen paned to show a large map of Europe, black triangles, in sets of two, over multiple areas across Europe, from Greece to the far north.
"What's with the black triangles?" Mina asked.
"They are likely the locations of other Hydra facilities around Europe." Iida answered.
Garaki went out to the hallway and looked to his right to see Rogers at the end of hall. Rogers stopped at the new arrival, the doctor quickly turning away and running down the left of the hall. Izuku went to run after him but was stopped at the sound of a man groaning. Izuku looked to the room the doctor came out of and quickly went inside instead.
"Wait why isn't he going after him?!" Kamakiri roared out. "He's an important scientist of Hydra! He should be captured quickly!"
"Its because of that groan that he heard from the room." Momo replied. "If this Izuku is anything like our own, he would absolutely choose to save the civilian before apprehending the Villain. Like a true Hero."
Izuku blushed at the complement from Yaoyorozo but smiled nonetheless.
"Wait could the person that's groaning be Todoroki?" Hagakure questioned.
This raised the attention of Izuku, Todoroki, and Endeavor, their hopes rising and wishing that the invisible girl was right.
Rogers cautiously entered the room, pausing in shock as he saw a man on a gurney mumbling "Sergeant. Three-two-five-five-seven." Said the mumbling man that with a quick pan of the screen revealed to be Shoto Buccanon Barnes.
"YES!" The students of 1-A cheered, the exceptions including Izuku sighing in relief, Shoto smiling, and Bakugou's bland of 'I don't care' but secretly smirking. The students of 1-B clapped in Izuku finding his best friend, while the adults nodded, the teachers especially glad that one of their students was safe. As for Endeavor, he sighed in relief and smiled gratefully at the other world version of Izuku for finding and saving his son from another world.
"Bucky?" Rogers rushed to his friends side. "Oh my god." The super soldier quickly went to remove his restraints.
Shoto blinked in a daze and looked to his rescuer's face. "Is that..."
"Hey. It's me." Izuku said. "Its Izuku."
"Izuku?" Shoto repeated, confused. "Izuku." He repeated now smiling.
"Aww!" Hagakure cooed. "This is so cute! Best friends reuniting!"
Izuku and Shoto squirmed uncomfortably at the coos and teases they were getting from the girls, choosing to just instead fist bump.
"Come on." Izuku helped his friend up to his feet, holding him steady, now an inch or two taller than him. "I thought you were dead."
"I thought you were smaller." Shoto replied, confusion and surprise in his dazed eyes.
"Yeah, must be strange to find out your rescuer is your once skinny, small friend who's now taller and buffer than you." Sero noted.
Shoto's usual emotionless eyes twitched, a slight blow to his manhood and pride as a result of that statement.
Rogers whirled his head at the sound of an explosion outside before looking up at the man of Europe. After a few seconds of looking at the map and locations, turned to Bucky and said "Come on." The two started to walk, Izuku holding onto the grunting Shoto as he steadied his walk.
"Wait, why didn't he take the map?" Manga asked, a question mark in his speech bubble. "If that map does have Hydra bases marked on it, why not take it for intel?"
"Midoriya is choosing to prioritize Todoroki's safety and the safety of the soldiers." Cementoss explained. "Additionally, F.R.I.D.A.Y. mentioned that he has a photographic memory, which means that he likely has the image of the map and its marked Hydra bases photographed in his mind."
"What happened to you?" Bucky asked.
"I joined the Army." Cap replied simply.
"Now that's oversimplifying things, yet accurate." Mirio said.
"Yay, Papa!" Eri cheered. "You found and save Uncle Shoto! Isn't that great?!"
"It sure is, Eri." Izuku smiled and chuckled at the little girl's enthusiasm.
'Uncle Shoto' meanwhile smiled warmly as he met the girl's eyes and smile, personally proud and humbled to be seen as one of this girl's Uncles. 'Now I understand that old quote: If anything happens to her, I will kill everyone in this room and then myself.' Todoroki thought amusingly. 'I would have to agree.'
Endeavor felt pride in his son, with his own heart conflicting whether to attempt to spend some time with the girl, considering if Shoto was her Uncle then that would make him her granduncle(?), yet the other half of him said to stay as far away from the girl as possible, not wanting to inadvertently cause more pain and fear onto the young, innocent girl, not like he did with his own children.
Back outside, Falsworth fired on the watchtower Dugan drove towards, the explosion sending the nearby Hydra soldier flying.
"Did it hurt?" Bucky continued asking as he and Izuku ran down the hall.
"A little." Rogers answered.
"A little? A Little?!" Setsuna yelled. "How was yelling your lungs out in pain a Little?!"
"That's just how Midori is." Mina sighed. "Downplaying his own pain to have us worry."
"Even though it never works." Uraraka added.
A comedic sweat drop fell down Izuku's head.
"Is it permanent?" Shoto asked again.
"So far." Izuku replied again.
"That actually makes me wonder, is the Super Soldier Serum permanent?" Momo asked. "Medically speaking, the Serum is a performance-enhancing drug and most don't last forever, so is it the same with Izuku."
"I don't think most of those drugs can turn a skinny man into the next All Might like that." Kyouka said. "Or require some Vita Ray whatever to shine on him."
"To answer your question, Miss Yaoyorozo, the Super Soldier Serum and its effects are indeed a permanent staple to Izuku Rogers's biological makeup." F.R.I.D.A.Y. answered.
"That's good." Nejire said. "I'd hate to have to worry about Izuku losing his powers in the middle of a fight."
Outside, the tank drove past the destroyed and flaming remains of the gate, the other remaining soldiers following close behind for their escape.
"FREEDOM!" Kaminari yelled.
Kyouka's eyes twitched at Kaminari's loud, annoying voice, yet breathed deeply to try and ignore him.
But back inside the control room, the first timer counted down to one second and then finally zero. Instantly, the large bombs in the facility exploded in flames, engulfing the area below in flames. Another timer reached zero, followed up by more explosions from the bombs and machines, and then another.
"Oh crap!" Sato exclaimed.
The group frowned in worry, knowing full well that Izuku and Shoto were still in there. Endeavor once more gripped his seat in worry, All Might joining him in worry over Izuku.
Izuku looked down from the catwalk above at the explosions and fire. Another explosion occurred near them, Izuku and Bucky ducking from the heat and explosion.
"Izuku! Shoto! Both of you get out of there!" Momo cried out.
"Move it You Damn Nerd, Icy-Hot!" Bakugou yelled. "The Only Explosions That You Are Allowed To Die By On Mine!"
The two went back and climbed up the steps to a higher catwalk. As they ran down the catwalk, the two stopped as they heard a voice call out to them. "Captain America!" Rogers and Bucky looked to their right to find Johann Schmidt to be the one who called out, Garaki by his side, along with a black suitcase, the two down a catwalk to their right. "How exciting!" Schmidt yelled out more. "I am a great fan of your films!"
Izuku stared silently at the screen, his fists clenching, remembering the last time he ever came face to face with Shigaraki, subconsciously rubbing his neck to where Shigaraki's hand and fingers gripped him. "Be careful." Izuku remembered Shigarkai's final parting words to him. "The next time we meet, I'll likely have to kill you."
Izuku walked down the way towards Schmidt slowly as Schmidt did the same towards him. "So, Dr. Erskine managed it after all." The leader of Hydra continued, as the two near each other. "Not exactly an improvement, but still, impressive."
"Greenie's twice the man you are, you Nazi prick!" Setsuna yelled.
"Agreed." Mina said.
Izuku responded with a swift right hook, the Hydra leader staggering back as he held onto the rails. "You've got no idea." Captain America replied.
"Yeah! Beat Him Up Midori!" Hagakure cheered.
Schmidt turned back to him, standing back straight, the right side of his face stretched out more than usual, red exposed under his right eye.
"The Fuck?!" Bakugou cursed, his face contorted in disgust. "The Hell Is Wrong With his Face?!"
The rest of the group was taken back in shock and disgust. All Might and Gran Torino frown in disgust, seeing the face of their master/friend's grandson look wrong, so so wrong.
Izuku was taken back at the sight. "Haven't I?" Schmidt questioned as he threw out his own right hook. Cap raised his shield to block, a resounding thud echoing when fist met shield, the metal bending and forming the Hydra leader's fist at the other side of the shield.
"Oh yeah, forgot that that guy is a super soldier too." Sen frowned.
Izuku quickly pulled out his gun, Schmidt knocking Izuku back with another punch, sending the American Hero to the floor, the gun falling down towards the fiery bottom. Schmidt stalked towards Rogers, only for the new super soldier to kick his feet forwards, striking the man in the chest and sending him flying back as well. Garaki pulled a level and the catwalk began to split and recede on both ends, pulling the two recovered super soldiers away from each other, a gap forming between them.
"So Cowardly Nazi Bitches!" Bakugou roared out. "Get Back Over There So Shitty Deku Can Beat Your Weird, Ugly Face Some More!"
"The factory is exploding and we will likely soon destroy everything inside and around." Endeavor said. "The doctor wants for them to get away before they are destroyed in the explosion as well and doesn't wish to waste time fighting another super soldier."
"Its really unnerving." Kaminari cringed. "Its like his face is made of rubber like a mask."
Izuku's eyes widened at Kaminari's words. Eyes widened once by one and looked at Kaminari in surprise.
"What?" Kaminari asked as everyone looked at him weirdly.
"The fact that you may have figured it out is what." Kyouka said.
"Huh?" Kaminari asked again.
"You said that his face was like a mask." Izuku repeated. "It all makes sense. Why the skin of his face is so flexible, why he is always scratching and shifting his neck and face. Its why Dr. Erskine said that there was complication when he took the serum."
"No matter what lies Erskine told you," Schmidt called out. "You see, I was his greatest success!"
Izuku and Shoto watch in both shock and mild horror as Schmidt reached to his neck and started to pull, the pale skin revealing to be rubber and peeling back to reveal more and more red. With a final tug, the mask was gone and revealed Schmidt's true face: the skin around his eyes gone, his eyes in two deep sockets, nose gone except for two slits, his head bald, and his whole skin a bright, blood red. His whole was head was nothing more than a red skull.
"...Well, now we know why he's called the Red Skull." Awase said through his horror and disgust.
The rest of the group was with him, staring at the Red Skull's true appearance with a mix of disgust, shock, and horror. All Might and Gran Torino frowned as they saw Shimura's grandson appear like a flayed head, the features that they noticed that were the same as Shimura's now fully gone form his face. To All Might, it felt like Shigaraki had truly become the monster All For One made him become.
Izuku stared at the fully revealed Villain with a sense of fear and anger, staring the face of a true monster, until he felt something else. His mind was overwhelmed by new emotions, horror, sadness, despair, hurt. He could practically hear the sounds of a woman crying in his head. Izuku eyes widened in realization. 'Shimura.' Izuku said. 'Just like the rest of the vestiges, she's watching...I'm so sorry, Shimura.'
Another wave of emotion flooded his mind that made him smile sadly: gratitude.
"You don't have one of those, do you?" Barnes asked, eyes still wide-eyed towards the now fully revealed Villain.
"Oh I sure hope not." Mina said.
"Erskine did say that the serum he used on Schmidt was incomplete, while Izuku's was, so I don't think Izuku will become that." Melissa reminded.
"Thank god." Uraraka sighed.
"You are deluded, Captain." Red Skull called out. "You pretend to be a simple soldier," Schmidt tossed his former mask down into the flames below. "But in reality, you are just afraid to admit that we have left humanity behind."
All Might and Gran Torino flinched at the sight, feeling like Shigaraki threw away the last of his grandmother, of his humanity.
Izuku watched as the mask was consumed in flames and Red Skull and Garaki moved towards the opened door beside them that was in fact an elevator. "Unlike you, I embrace it proudly." Red Skull declared, as he walked into the elevator. "Without fear."
"Then how come you're running?" Captain American called out.
"Boom! Roasted!" Setsuna exclaimed.
"Such a manly response!" Kirishima yelled out.
"These Villains are all the same." Endeavor grumbled. "They try to proclaim that the society failed them, that they are victim or are superior to everyone, yet they run away and stoop to low levels like the hypocrites they are."
Red Skull reply was pressing a button, the doors of the elevator closing as they fled.
Izuku and Shoto backed as another explosion occurred below them. Izuku looked up to see an exit door on the floor above them, a thin gantry between the catwalk to it and the area above them. "Come on, let's go. Up." Izuku said as he and Shoto rushed towards the stairs to their left and walked up.
"Impressive." Edgeshot said. "Quickly recover and take hold of your surroundings, and find a way forward. His time in the paid off well."
In the elevator, Red Skull sighed while Garaki asked "Sir? Are we going to the roof?"
Schmidt turned his head and gave the doctor a silent nod, the elevator doors timely opening to reveal a large rocket-like ship with an empty cockpit. A single-seat cockpit.
"What about me?" Garaki questioned fearful. "Where will I sit?"
Skull turned to him again and held out his hand, Garaki doing the same, and placed a keyring on his hand, a large key and a Hydra symbol on it. "Not a scratch, Doctor." Red Skull said as he stepped out to the catwalk towards the cockpit, briefcase in hand. "Not a scratch." The elevator doors closed with Garaki in it.
As Rogers and Bucky came up to the thin gantry, Garaki rushed towards Schmidt's black car, tossing his briefcase into the backseat as he climbed in. With Schmidt himself, the advanced ship came alive, the three engines on the three long plates spun around counterclockwise, Skull's cockpit window closing shut. Garaki drove off in the black car while Red Skull flew off into night sky, his shuttle disappearing from view from the dark clouds and smoke.
Izuku glared at the screen, the memory of Shigaraki escaping from their last encounter, the rage he felt at how he got away by threatening the lives of the people around him, and parting words. 'Next time won't be the end of me. Next time we meet, I'm taking you down.'
"Let's go." Izuku said, more explosions starting up below them. "One at a time."
Shoto nodded and climbed over the rails and steadied himself on the thin gantry. The sergeant slowly eased his way down the gantry, while it shook and shuddered under the new weight and the destruction around it.
"No no no no no!" Nejire exclaimed. "Stay on! Stay on!"
Soon the gantry began to collapse as Bucky was halfway through.
"Get of there, man!" Kirishima yelled.
"Shoto." Endeavor muttered in worry.
Shoto steadied himself and slowly continued, until the gantry shuddered. Barnes quickly threw caution to the wind and rushed to the end, jumping and landing on the rails of the catwalk while the gantry full collapsed and fell to the fire down below.
"Phew, he's alright." Tetsutetsu sighed. "He made it."
"But what about Midoriya?" Kirishima questioned. "He's still stuck there."
The girls' eyes all widened in fear, clinging to their seats and praying to every god that exists for Izuku's safety. All Might too gripped his seat in fear as well, cursing how he couldn't go there, buff up, and jump him and Todoroki out of there.
Izuku looked as Shoto climbed over safely to the catwalk, with himself still stuck at the other end and all other means either destroyed or too far away.
"Gotta be a rope or something!" Bucky yelled out.
"Just go! Get out of here!" Izuku shouted.
"No! Not without you!" Shoto roared out with finality.
"Best friends stay together to end, right?" Todoroki said, looking to Izuku.
Izuku stared back and smiled. "To the end of the line."
The two fist-bumped in agreement.
Izuku sighed in defeat and looked to the half destroyed rails in front of him that gave way with the gantry. Izuku went to the right one and grabbed it, groaning as he pushed it aside, the metal groaning as it was bent aside. Izuku did the same on the left, giving an opening. As more explosions flared down below, Izuku quickly backed up to the end of catwalk behind him and looked at Shoto at the other side.
"He's going to jump." Kyouka said, eyes widening.
"But can he make it?" Hagakure questioned fearfully.
"He made it over that fence before, and with his speed, he can jump far and high too." Asui said, hoping that her words were true.
"But Izuku was running for a while back then and had good enough distance. This however is a short amount of room to run before jumping." Momo analyzed, much to her own dismay and cursing.
Setsuna's foot tapped like crazy, her teeth chipping at her nails nervously, while Ibarra and Itsuka noticed, but decided to not say anything.
Izuku huffed before sprinting towards the opening and jumped, sailing through the air as the flames grew out and enveloped the screen.
"NO!" The group yelled, the girls and All Might the most loud.
The group was in silence then after, the looks of people's faces ranging from fearful to horrified, denial to despair, and shock to nervousness.
"No, no, no, no." Uraraka said, over and over, tears forming at her eyes. "He's alright. He's alright. He's alright. He has to be. He Has to be."
"Ribbit. Ribbit. Ribbit." Asui croaked in worry, hoping that Izuku was alright.
"He can't be...he c-can't be..." Hagakure choked up, horrified.
"No, no, he isn't!" Kyouka yelled/whimpered. "Its gonna take more than some weak sauce fire to get rid of 'Zuku! Just you wait! He's alright. He's...he's alright, y-you'll see."
Nejire and Mei squirmed in their seats, a stream of denial mumbling escaping their mouths. Melissa joined Setsuna in chipping away at her teeth. 'He's going to be fine. he's going to be fine.' Were Melissa's only thoughts.
"Yeah, its Midori, we are talking about." Mina whimpered out. "There's no way he's...Yeah, t-there's no way."
Endeavor gripped his seat so hard, it was about to crack. 'He's not dead.' Endeavor thought. 'Shoto isn't dead. And the one there isn't either. I know it.'
The video continued back in the army base in the morning, a man typing on a typewriter as Phillips spoke while looking at his notepad. "Senator Brandt, I regret to report that Captain Izuku S. Rogers went missing behind enemy lines on the third." The Colonel said as the man typed out what he wrote. "Aerial reconnaissance has proven unfruitful."
"You...you son of a bitch." Bakugou growled out. "I swear if you say what I think you are going to say, I'll Roast You Alive For Lying! Deku May Be A Shitty Deku But There's No Way Some Pussy Ass Explosion Is the End Of Him!"
Izuku was silent throughout the whole thing, staring at the screen in silence with a determined expression on him. Bakugou's rant drew his eyes away from the screen and looked towards Bakugou with a smidgen of hope that those words were ones of care and worry. As his attention was drawn away from the screen, he paid attention to what the girls were saying, smiling sadly, touched by the care and worry in their voices. He too noticed the whimpering in Eri and Kouta and quickly hugged the two.
Izuku stared back at the screen determined. 'I swear, other me, you better be alive.' Izuku thougth angrily. 'You better me alive, or I will never forgive you for what you will do to them.'
Setsuna Carter walked into the tent and froze as Phillips continued. "As a result, I must declare Captain Rogers killed in action. Period."
The guys had to restrain Bakugou from killing the 'lying, son of a bitch', while All Might was shaking his head in disbelief and anguish, saying over and over that Midoriya wasn't dead.
"No, I refuse." Momo whimpered out, tears in her eyes. "I refuse to accept this! There has to be a mistake!"
Setsuna stared at the screen in widening horror. 'He's still here, Our Izuku is still here. He's sitting two rows below me.' She reminded herself. 'So why does it still feel like I just lost him.'
Setsuna lowered her head and shook herself before resuming her walk to the Colonel. "The last surveillance flight is back." Setsuna said as Phillips turned to her. She dropped a couple of photos to which the Colonel looked at. "No sign of activity." She finished with a subtle, yet sad look in her eyes.
"But didn't we saw those army dudes rushing out of there with a tank?" Kaminari questioned.
"Maybe they just haven't returned yet." Mina said optimistically.
"Or the explosions of the facility may have engulfed the area in fire and debris that killed the others." Yui replied.
"Um, Yui, we appreciate your honesty, but I don't think its helping." Itsuka said, gesturing to the worried faces of the girls.
"Oh, sorry." Yui apologized.
"Go get a cup of coffee, Corporal." Phillips ordered.
"Yes, sir." The Corporal said as he walked.
"Translation: Get out of here so I can yell at her." Miruko translated.
"Although, I thought with as much as a dick he is, that he would be perfectly fine yelling at her with an audience." Hawks said.
"Bahaha!" Miruko chuckled. "Good point."
When he left, Phillips walked up to look outside, Carter stood still. "I can't touch Stark." Phillips began. "He's rich and he's the Army's number one weapons contractor." He whirled back to look at Setsuna. "You are neither one."
"With respect, sir, I don't regret my actions." Carter replied. "And I don't think Captain Rogers did, either."
"What makes you think I give a damn about your opinions?" Phillips retorted as he walked closer to her.
"Because not doing so would be sexist?" Kyouka said.
"Kyouka, not everything negative towards a woman is sexist." Momo said. "The Colonel is mad that she allowed for Izuku to go to the Hydra base and, to them, cause a lot of deaths, so he's just an angry and taking it out on the only person he can yell at."
"I took a chance with you, Agent Carter." Phillips continued. "And now America's golden boy and a lot of other good men are dead, 'cause you had a crush."
"It wasn't that." Setsuna replied. "I had faith."
"Well, I hope that's a big comfort to you when they shut this division down." Phillips replied back.
Setsuna stared defiantly at the Colonel while in the background, many of the soldiers clamored and rushed towards something. Phillips turned to acknowledge the commotion. "What the hell's going on out there?" He questioned as he walked towards said commotion. Carter sighed before joining the Colonel soon after.
The looks of the group started to raise, as looks of interest and hope started sprouting, with Izuku and Todoroki smiling.
Phillips, Carter, and many soldiers walked towards a group of grouped of soldiers looking down the road before them. The triumphant music of Captain America played as Captain America marched down the road towards them, Bucky, Dugan, Jones and the rest marching down beside him, a large group of freed soldiers marching down with him.
"YES!" The group roared in cheers, the loudest of course being the girls and All Might. The girls released a breathe of relief that they didn't knew they held, overjoyed that Izuku was alright and happy that he freed the soldiers. The former Symbol of Peace too smiled in pride at this other Izuku's accomplishment, saving a whole group of soldiers from death and his best friend. When he saw Izuku marching in the front, he felt he saw the true beginnings of their world's Symbol of Peace.
"So-*sob*-Manly!" Kirishima and Tetsutetsu cried crocodile tears at the manly site of Izuku marching down with a group of soldiers behind him.
The group of freed soldiers marched down victorious and free, some soldiers resting comfortably atop the Hydra tank and trucks that they drove with them. The soldiers made way for Cap, Bucky, and the rest to march down, the soldiers cheering and applauding at them, their once mocking eyes now filled with admiration, respect, and awe at the Star-Spangled Man.
"Look! They all like you now! Isn't that great, Deku?!" Uraraka asked excitingly.
"Y-Yeah, its nice." Izuku said blushing at both Uraraka's proximity, but he smiled at seeing the praise and respect from his brothers in arms.
"And not only did he bring back those soldiers alive, but he also brought back the tank and that canister with the blue energy for information." Nezu smiled. "Truly Marvelous work."
Izuku looked at Shoto beside him, the sergeant turning to him too. The two smirked, Izuku patting his best friend on the back.
Izuku and Shoto, smirking and without looking, fist-pumped and made a mock explosion.
"SHOTO!" Endeavor's voice roared before Endeavor raced down and crushed the teen in a bone-creaking hug.
"H-Help." Shoto groaned out.
Izuku made a move to help before seeing the giggling of Eri and the girl from the father-son hug. He turned back to Shoto and shrugged, an apologetic smile on his face.
Shoto frowned. 'So much for to the end of the line.' He thought before he was squished harder into the hug by his father.
More soldiers came to witness the returning soldiers, Hodge stepping out of his tent, bewilderment and shock in his eyes, before he too joined his fellow soldiers in welcoming back the freed soldiers.
"How does Tinker Bell look now, huh?" Mina questioned with a smirk.
"Hey, Deku." Izuku looked to Bakugou who was still watching the screen. "Not bad, nerd."
Izuku smiled wide and joyfully, one that made the guys had to look away because it was, as Tokoyami and Dark Shadow put it, 'too bright'.
The group walked up to and stopped before Colonel Phillips. Rogers saluted in respectful greeting. "Some of these men need medical attention." Izuku revealed.
"Putting the needs of the soldiers before his own glory and victory." Momo said, a bright smile and grateful tears in her eyes. "The Truest kind of Hero."
"100% agree." Melissa agreed.
"I'd like to surrender myself for disciplinary action." Izuku Rogers said.
"Huh? Why did he do that?" Nejire questioned, confused and worried about Izuku getting in trouble. "'Zuzu did nothing wrong!"
"He still disobeyed military orders from a superior and ventured into a highly dangerous enemy encampment where they held prisoners and could easily killed them." Edgeshot responded. "In the end, he may have succeeded, but it was still a risk that put their lives in danger and could have failed."
"I know that." Izuku said, drawing the attention of the two and group to him. "I know put their lives at risk, and I know that there are those that didn't make it. But sometimes, you can't save everyone, so you have to save those that you can. My other self did that and saved those that he could, and I, and I'm sure he would agree, won't feel sorry for doing so. Even if I have to turn myself in for doing illegal work, I won't turn my back on anyone." He looked striaght to Edgeshot with a determined stare. "Got that?"
Edgeshot stared silently at Izuku before chuckling. "Aye aye, Captain."
Izuku smirked in response.
Phillips looked at America's golden boy before replying with "That won't be necessary."
"Yay! Papa's not in trouble!" Eri cheered.
"Nice job, kid." Death Arms said. "Sorry for my counterpart being kind of a dick to you."
"No apology needed, Death Arms." Izuku responded. "We both don't have control over our other selves. His actions are not your responsibility, as my other self's actions aren't mine."
Death Arms smirked and nodded in respect.
The two stared at each other, a light of respect and faith in the old Colonel's eyes. "Yes sir." Izuku responded with a nod.
Phillips turned to Carter behind him. "Faith, huh?" Phillips asked, before walking away, leaving Setsuna there with Izuku.
The girls of 1-B stared teasingly at Setsuna, who's cheeks began growing more and more red.
Carter stepped up close to Rogers, a small smile breaking through her cold façade. "You're late." Carter said, her gaze meeting his eyes.
Izuku dug into his pockets and pulled out the transponder, the antenna bent and a part of it broken. "Couldn't call my ride." Rogers replied, mirth in his voice.
Setsuna stared at the broken transponder before her eyes met back with Izuku's, a small smile and blush on her face.
"Ooh." Itsuka said. "I admit, that was pretty smooth of him. What do you think, Setsuna? Setsuna?"
Itsuka's words didn't fully comprehend to the greenette's mind, her eyes glazed, a dreamy look in her eyes and smile on her face, her cheeks flushed red. "Hubba, Hubba." She muttered out.
The 1-B girls exploded in laughter, Ibarra giggling and making sure to hang this over her friend's head for many years to come. The 1-A would replied with jealous, angry glares, but they unfortunately met the same fate as Setsuna after that line. Mina and Hagakure were practically undressing Izuku, both of them, with their eyes, Asui croaking in a blush as he tongue slipped out, but was still functioning enough to catch the dreamy looking Uraraka before she floated away. Momo waved a fan that she created in her blushing, panting face, while Kyouka squirmed in her seat, trying to hide her blush. As for the other girls, they too met a similar fate, Mei shivering and blushing at the delivery of Izuku's line, Melissa being reduced into a blushing, stuttering mess, and Nejire's face so red that blood trickled down her nose.
Eri looked at the reactions from the girls and frowned confused. 'They all seem to like Papa a lot.' She thought. 'But does that mean that all of them are my Mama? I thought you can only have one Mama and one Papa? Or can I? I should ask Papa later. Maybe I can help Papa, like helped me.'
"Hey!" Bucky yelled out to the soldiers for their attention. "Let's hear it for Captain America!"
Triumphant music played once more in fervor as the soldiers roared out in cheers and applause for the Hero. Setsuna Carter remained smiling at the man, while Izuku looked to Shoto, who shrugged with a smirk, before looking out to his fellow comrades as they cheered for him. He took it in pride, yet looked back to Setsuna, the two staring silently at each other.
The group joined in the applause, Mirio patting Izuku on the back, Kirishima and Tetsutetsu yelling out 'Manly', Bakugou rolling his eyes yet smirking all the same, All Might smiled proudly, knowing for sure that Izuku will become just as great, if not more than his counterpart. Melissa hugged Izuku's shoulder, much to the green cinnamon roll's blushing reaction, though smiled nonetheless.
He looked at the group smiling and clapping for him, Eri hugging his chest and Kouta smiling at him, awe in his eyes, he smiled back joyfully. 'Yep, no doubt about it.' Izuku thought. 'No matter what they may say, This is where I belong and who I am meant to be. A Hero.'
AAAAAANNNNNDDDDD SCENE! Phew, another 30,000 words chapter. Sorry if its too much for some of you guys, but I wanted for this second part to go all the way to Rogers truly becoming Captain America scene to end things off. Not my fault there was just so much stuff in between it and its sure to get a lot more longer in the future movies, but don't worry, the next two parts will not be as long. Probably.
Anyways, hope you guys liked the chapter and my apologies if some parts seemed overdramtic or cringy for some of you, but I just rushed to get this chapter over with and working with a tired out and lethargic brain can be a drag.
Also, as promised from before, I will explain my other reasonings for past counterpart results and this one. First with Garaki and Zola. It seemed a rather obvious choice, both evil scientist, both experts at making weapons, one of a biological kind and the other machines, both serve an evil madman, one Schmidt, the other AFO and now Shigaraki, for manga readers both end up getting captured by the good guys, it just worked.
For Phillips as Death Arms, I decided this because they both were minor characters that didn't believe in Izuku and Steve, the Colonel seeing Steve as a skinny weakling and later a lab rat and chorus girl, and the other chastising Izuku for trying to save Bakugou from the Sludge Villain by saying that there was nothing he could have done. I know people expected Gran Torino but I have different plans for him.
And now for the obvious ones that may cause confusion: the Five of the Vestiges as the Howling Commandoes. This was requested to me by multiple reviewers and they won me over with their reasoning. At first I had them planned to be characters that I had left over, ie leftover characters such as Aoyama, Rin, Sato, and more, but with the reviewers and thinking it over, I decided that the other Vestiges worked as allies to Izuku and to make the possibility of One For All being revealed to be more likely and evident. As for why I had each Vestige as each different Commando, for Banjo as Dugan, they both are gruff, snarky, tough, and funny guys and the most popular of the Vestiges aside from Shimura and the First, Shinomori and En as Falsworth and Jim were a random selection, I'll admit, but as for Gabriel and Frenchie, they are obviously the Second and Third, currently unnamed Vestiges. I wanted for these two be the Commandoes that had the most interaction with each other since the Second and Third are obviously close, and the only one I found was Gabriel and Frenchie talking in French when Cap recruits the Howling Commandoes, and the reason for why they aren't named or shown their image is, obviously because I don't know their names, but also because it would seem rather spoilery to be showing the Second User's face. I don't think he's actually a time-traveled Bakugou, their hair color is different and no it is not dyed, but I do believe that he could be Bakugou's distant ancestor since he looks so much like him, and if I can't show the Second, then the same goes for the Third, who I also don't think is Kirishima as others weirdly thought.
Anyways, as always hoped you guys liked the chapter, check out my other stories if you like, comment your thoughts in the reviews below, but try to be respectful and decent at least guys, and keep each other safe and healthy in these critical and important times.
