Chapter 19
HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO ME! HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO ME! HAPPY BIRTHDAY! HAPPY BIRTHDAY! HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO ME! YES, ITS ZAYDEN STORMVOID HERE! BACK AT IT AGAIN, BRINGING YOU ANOTHER, AND SPECIAL BIRTHDAY CHAPTER OF WELCOME TO THE MCU! AND THE FIRST PART OF THE HIGHLY ANTICIPATED AVENGERS!
Although, technically last month was my birthday. Yeah to explain my month long absence from all three of my stories, I was taking a break from fanfiction writing for the month to celebrate my 22nd birthday, as well as rest my mind from the serious case of writer's block that I was having. And it was time well spent. With it now on Xbox, me and my brother have been playing Hades, fantastic game, I got back into Destiny 2 with the Season of the Lost and preparation for Witch Queen, and I've started reading George R.R. Martin's Song of Ice and Fire Books, starting with Game of Thrones. I apologize again for the absence, but my mental health, personal life, and family take precedence over anything else.
Another thing that has come to my attention through this month of relaxation was something not at all relaxing. I have been made aware that my other fic, MHA watches Death Battle, has been taken down. Now, to clear the air, I did NOT delete the story myself, it was taken down by an admin of this site, and a stupid one at that. Unfortunately, the story was taken down for, and I'm quoting their message, because it was interactive, chat/scrip, real person, mst, and etc. Translation: They don't like reaction fics. So because of this, unfortunately, MHA watches Death Battle will no longer be on this site, but do not despair as it is alive and well, and I will continue it, in Archive of Our Own under the same title and name, so if you want to continue reading, go onto that site, just be aware that I am not as interactive and responsive with comments in that site as I am here.
Now with all that stuff out of the way, let's get back into this story.
Last time, we had the ending of Captain America: The First Avenger where we had tears and frowns from the audience, especially the painful reactions from the girls towards Izuku's 'Death', the looks of pity and sadness at his dethawing 70 yeas later, and some of the girls mad at Izuku keeping the ending secret from them, especially Setsuna. Now, to be clear to the dozens of reviewers, technically the two of them were at fault. Yes, Izuku didn't technically do anything wrong with keeping the ending secret and avoiding spoiling the movie, we all hate those guys who do, but to the girls and classmates, to them it was Izuku keeping the fact that his counterpart was alive and well whilst they were mourning his 'death'. And Yes, Setsuna's slap was a bit uncalled for, but she was reacting out of anger and not thinking straight, which can be excused a bit since all of us do it at some point and many people turn a blind eye and make excuses when a certain blonde explosive teen does so. This little outburst and incident will be spoken about and maybe resolved later.
But now, we have come to one of the most highly requested and anticipated movies: The Avengers! HALLELUJAH! And now that I am refreshed, I will try to make this as best as I can possibly do. And as for certain, yet to be revealed counterpart reveals, save those complaints, questions, and anger until you read the explanations in the end notes, as always.
But before the bombardment of new reviews, let's answer some old ones:
DragoonKnight Agnim: Yeah, funny how wonderful timing can be, and thank you. Also yeah, the slap from Setsuna was a bit uncalled for but Izuku will definitely believe he deserved it, since he did subject her and the others to mourning his supposed death without knowing the actual outcome. Imagine someone told you your dog died, let you cry and feel super sad, and then they say sike or you find out the truth later. An ass whooping would be the result, at least that's what I would want to do. More than just Hill, we will always be getting Bruce Banner's first look and reveal and finally kill off the Incredible Hulk requests. Oh, yeah I almost forgot about that giant teen that looks like Coco Bandicoot from Crash Bandicoot, thanks for reminding me of her. Hehehe. Yeah, Shinsou's not gonna be happy.
draconis ignitus: The topic of their discussion will be mentioned in this and further chapters like the interlude after Part 4. I guess apologies are need for that missed opportunity, I just wanted to be on time for the Fourth of July. As for the Loki show, I am actually alright if you like the show or if it didn't seem to woke for you, I personally will not be watching it, not because I think its a turning woke point of the MCU, but because I just generally have lost interest in the MCU as a whole after Far From Home and even Endgame, like the spark of enjoyment and excitement just went poof, so don't expect anything of Phase 4 of the MCU still because I just don't honestly give a crap after Phase 3. And as I am editing this I have seen the No Way Home trailer and might make an exception. I will also point out that the line where Loki says that he's bi actually is more woke than you think, since the director herself said in a tweet that she focused on placing that in the script because She was also bi, making it, when I heard about it, a bit of a cringy self-insert. And yes, Loki in the Norse Myths is bisexual, since he turned into a female horse and gave birth to Odin's six-legged horse, but that's not comic Loki. I don't know, it just seems strange that how they actually give a damn about source accuracy Only when it fits with their agenda. As for your suggestions about Loki's torture, control, and Cap's PTSD, thanks for the info, I didn't actually know about those first two.
Newmystery356: Yeah, that's actually something that many people, including myself, miss, but I don't want to go too into the whole language barrier thing, since they are all speaking English to us. And yeah, Red Skull's superiority complex didn't actually have safety in mind. You will have to wait and see who Hulk will be, but as for Galaga playing dude and other side side characters, don't expect many of them to actually get listed for counterparts, since I mainly focus on those that are more important, like contribute to the plot important. Yeah, a floating maneuvering city is kind of a bad idea since it would need to go up and down which could move a lot of stuff and people around dangerously, and it would need to go and up and down to both let people out or get fuel because they can't fly forever. As for making Tokoyami or Kuroiro Black Panther and Killmonger because they are 'black-colored' that I will not do, that would just be racist as hell. Technically, Tokoyami is white, or actually Asian because Japan, since we have seen that his hands and arms are pale in contrast to his black-feathered raven head. The only raceswapping that I will genuinely acknowledge is Izuku Rogers being half-Japanese half-American. Reasons being because anime always had a certain ambiguity towards its characters races, especially white and Japanese, since there are almost no features that are explicitly Asian or American like look at My Hero Academia Two Movies where we see American heroes and civilians who are speaking Japanese and look exactly like the Japanese characters. Actually, the Only genuine Black character in My Hero Academia is actually Rocklock as Miruko is either a tanned Japanese or unconfirmed mixed, but when it comes to T'Challa, Killmonger, and Sam I will not be raceswapping them.
crossover4: Well those people who said that a movie is woke just because the main protagonist is a woman are stupid. Hell the first two, and most beloved and popular, Terminator movies had Sarah Conner as the main protagonist, and those two are not in any way woke. As for what I think woke is is difficult to explain since lots of stuff can actually be woke its just a matter of scale and intention. When talking about feminist, girl power messaging, its a good message to empower women to do whatever they want because they can do whatever they want, but people then take that a little too far and try to do that by crapping all over men like they are either stupid, useless, and/or evil, like the Master of the Universe garbage that's on Netflix. The concept of a world without He-Man is actually interesting but the way they took that direction, ie making Teela some bitter, angry, entitled bitch, having her bash the guys because they 'left her alone and died boo hoo', berating and yelling at He-Man's parents right after they found out their son died, and also generally trying to make Teela look more like a dude for the sake of 'realistic female bodies' when that's not true and they just want to get rid of anything that makes women feminine and make them more like the men they claim to hate to appease a vocal Minority of people that won't watch or buy their crap. I can go on and on talking about all the woke crap and what makes it woke but I pretty sure this example is suffice enough, women, people of color, and even different ethnic groups can be empowered and represented Without making their gender, race, or ethnicity the main factor about them or the only reason for us to like them, or by being racist and sexist, themselves, towards straights, whites, and/or males.
FShield96: Despite Loki finishing and other's opinions over it, I'm still not going to watch it. My interest in the MCU past Phase 3 has just been extinguished. I stuck around for WandaVision and Falcon and the Winter Soldier but my interest in the MCU by then just diminished into uninterest. Nothing against you guys who like it or what not, but I'll leave you it and you can leave me to my uninterest. And as I'm editing this, I have seen the No Way Home trailer and will give that a shot, purely for the sake of Alfred Malini, William DeFoe, and possibly Tobie Maguire and Andrew Garfield. For your predictions, I can say that you had Some of them right, though I can't say which, other than Mineta isn't Galaga Guy. As funny as that would be, Mineta's counterpart will be slightly more significant than just a one-off gag.

Now Let's Light it Up!
Glorious Return
Third POV
Most of the group reconvened in their seats, the 10 minute long break unofficially ending and were impatiently waiting for Aizawa, All Might, Nezu, and Izuku to come back from outside. The fact that it was those four, especially Izuku and All Might, was not lost on some of them.
Endeavor and Hawks still remembered Izuku's attempt of secret communication with All Might, something that he might need work on, and the fact that the former Number 1 Hero is having a conversation with the secretive and cryptic Principal of U.A., and the boy who he, himself, said before that his Quirk was similar to All Might's, were all factors that made Endeavor 100% sure that the three were hiding something, and that perhaps Aizawa noticed it too and demanded for information.
The new Number 1 grumbled, the temptation to march outside and demand the same courtesy rather high. Hawks was likewise tempted to sneak one of his feathers to listen in on their conversation, but he could not be sure whether the cameras inside his feathers would relay that information to the PLF, as if that was already a risky possibility given the videos they are watching.
The Number 2 Hero was, however, unaware that the devices attached to his feathers were hacked into by F.R.I.D.A.Y. The A.I. conveniently accessed them when she scanned the room when she first activated and has since played loops of different misinformation while in the range of her scanners, which just so happened to be the entirety of U.A., where the Heroes and staff would only discuss about the movies securely.
Todoroki and Momo were likewise suspicious, however with different reasons. The latter was curious, and little concerned, why the Principal of U.A. and their homeroom teacher wanted to speak to Izuku in private, wondering if it had something to do with the movie or perhaps the secret communication that Izuku sent to All Might, that little nugget of information still puzzling the Yaoyorozo heiress. Todoroki thought similarly to that last point but also wondered if perhaps Aizawa was being clued into by All Might and Izuku about their secret father-son relationship that he was sure was true, though the scarred teen could not figure out why it was so important as to talk about now or how Aizawa figured it out too.
Bakugou waited impatiently in his seat, scoffing angrily, that anger directed towards the four who were still talking outside. 'Yeah, make it more obvious that something is up when five other people are onto you. Idiots.' Bakugou thought, knowing full well of whom else figured out Deku's 'stupid' attempt of subtle communication. He also knew that if All Might and Nezu were there, then it was definitely about One For All, likely spilling the beans to Aizawa. Bakugou groaned, already predicting the talking to that Aizawa was going to give him about keeping it secret from him, probably something similar to what he is doing now to Deku.
Setsuna was curious as well to why her fellow green-haired crush was talking with his teacher, the Principal, and All Might. The first two she figured could be because they wanted to see if he was alright after the Captain America movie, Lord knows that did a number on all of them, but then she wondered why All Might would likewise go. Enough classes with the former Number 1 Pro made Setsuna and her class know that the man was a complete idiot outside fighting Villains, his inspirational motivation pep talks losing their flair in the classroom or in private when he's not punching down evil or in an interview.
She decided she would ask Izuku about that later, along with...whatever it was they should do after this. Setsuna was conflicted to whether ask the Green Bean on a date, worried that she would come off as copying Ibara and being unoriginal and cliche. She then thought that blowing it off would send the wrong message and completely blow her chances with Midoriya.
Then there was her...she wanted to say meeting, but, to her, it felt like either an initiation or interrogation. When Momo asked her to talk with her and the girls, Setsuna agreed, partly because Momo and her were somewhat closer due to their recent internship under the Magic Hero, Majestic, and mostly because the slight steel in her voice and determined faces of the rest of the girls interested in Deku meant they would not take no for an answer. That short talk was awkward, to say the least, what with the jealous glares coming off of some of the girls, especially Uraraka, Nejire, and Melissa, the latter of whom was also asked to join in their talk.
In the end, she, and Melissa, were asked/demanded to join them in the 1-A dorms for a meeting involving Izuku. 'This feels like I'm joining a cult or something.' Setsuna thought. 'Though I'm still not sure if this is some kind of initiation into some Midoriya love group, or if I'm going to end up mysteriously disappeared in the morning.'
The doors to gym were opened. Nezu, All Might, Aizawa, and Izuku walked in, finally. "Sorry for the wait everybody." Nezu spoke. "But with us here, we can continue onto the next, and final, video for today."
Endeavor narrowed his eyes in suspicion, keeping the question in his mouth from escaping at the cheers from the students, realizing that perhaps this was not the best time to ask about what the four were discussing.
Aizawa sat down in his seat, feeling both pleased and annoyed as a result of his rather earth-shattering talk with Midoriya, All Might, and Nezu. 'One For All.' Aizawa thought, still digesting the information of Midoriya's Quirk, a Quirk that can be passed down and grown stronger through generations, the Quirk of All Might. As the information he was told, mere moments ago, was settling in his mind, Aizawa nearly wanted to groan in frustration, for missing the signs that should have been obvious and his own foolish actions.
Aizawa knew that there was something going on between Midoriya and All Might throughout this whole year, from All Might's clear favoritism and closeness to the boy, to even the similarities to both their personalities and Quirks. He should have known that All Might saw Midoriya as some successor to him, the similarities similar to himself and Shinsou, but to think that it went as far as passing down his own Quirk to a 15, now 16, year old boy was something he did not expect.
At that reminder, Aizawa groaned internally, again, this time at both All Might and himself. He didn't realize just how much of an idiot and poor teacher All Might was until now, training the boy for 10 months to just handle his power and not tell him anything about how to use it throughout that time and give him the bare minimum of information on how to use it, much less give the Quirk to him on the same day as the Entrance Exam. What made him more frustrated was his own foolishness, believing Midoriya to have been some slacker who didn't train his Quirk at all for 15 years, when, in fact, he had only got it a few hours ago. And worse, going so hard on said recently newly Quirked kid during his Quirk Apprehension Test. He didn't know who he wanted to strangle with his scarf, All Might, himself, Nezu, for keeping this information of his student from him, or Midoriya for doing the same.
He looked down at the green-haired teen as he talked with his classmates, trying to tell some poor excuse as to why he was talking with the teachers. Aizawa smirked. If there was one thing the teacher could say he was most pleased about the meeting was not at finally being told the secret of One For All, but that he was right in keeping Midoriya in 1-A and realizing the boy's potential back then, the potential of a boy who had a Quirk for less than a month and yet shined as brightly as his classmates, if not more, and in less than a year, matched and surpassed most of his classmates in power, brains, and talent.
As Izuku finished guiltily lying to his classmates, who bought it shockingly enough, Izuku couldn't help but look up towards Setsuna, finding her gaze lingering on him. The two quickly turned away with heavy blushes, already kicking themselves in what the two could already tell was going to be one awkward conversation later.
Mei, with the permission of Nezu and the teachers, selected the Avengers folder, opening it up to see the poster image to be nothing more than a black screen and the Avengers title, the A of Avengers rather unique in that the left leg of the A was longer and sticking out diagonally.
Looking towards her fellow students and their excited looks, Mei nodded and pressed play, the video starting.
The video began with swirling blue energy filling the screen, zooming back to see that it was the Tesseract, floating in a black empty space.
"The Tesseract." Izuku said, narrowing his eyes at the dangerous Cube that caused so much problems for his counterpart and others.
"It seems that the Tesseract will play another important role in this video too." Todoroki noted.
"But what even is the Tesseract?" Momo questioned, her brows narrowing as she thought.
"The Tesseract has awakened." An ominous, growling voice spoke up. The screen became black for a moment before being lit up again, revealing a series of asteroids and floating rocks and a set of high-tech steps for stairs. "It is on a little world. A Human world."
"Wait are we going to see some more aliens like the Asgardians?" Mina asked, slightly excited and yet nervous at the ominous tone of the speaker.
"Given that whoever is speaking said the word Human in a way that meant he wasn't one himself, seems likely." Melissa answered.
"They would wield its power," The voice continues as the scene moves up the stairs. "But our ally knows its working as they never will."
The screen finally reached the top of the steps, revealing a black cloaked figure, his outstretched hands revealing gross, six-fingered hands, kneeling before a high-tech, glowing throne-like chair, its occupant hidden by the throne.
An subconscious shiver ran up the group's spine, not at the six fingers of the kneeling figure, though that did raise some curious eyebrows, but rather from the throne and its occupant.
"He is ready to lead." The voice continued again, the screen going dark before showing the figure with a golden scepter, the scepter was golden, more than a meter long, its end being two curved blades, the taller one easily bigger than the smaller one, and in between the two a glowing blue gem. The dark-cloaked figure was shown giving the golden scepter to a man in golden and green armor, who's upper half was obscured and hidden by the screen.
Monoma and All Might blinked in confusion, the armor of the obscured figure looking familiar. Nezu, meanwhile, frowned in displeasure, sending thoughts of pity towards the two.
"And our force, our Chitauri, will follow." The dark cloaked figure said, the screen showing an ever revealing and growing force of grey skinned aliens in golden armor and glowing weapons at their side, all of them growling and hissing in unison.
"Oh shit." Kaminari cursed silently, his eyes wide in terror. "They have an army."
The pros and teachers frowned, some even flinching in fear of the glimpse of the aliens. The students were likewise left shivering nervously. Eri and Kouta immediately gripped onto Izuku, the mere glimpse and sound of their hissing frightening the two kids.
"A world would be his," The figure continued, once more showing the Tesseract on screen, growing closer. "The universe, yours. And the Humans, what more can they do but Burn?"
"This leader, that this speaker is addressing, it appears his goal is more than just global conquest, but universal conquest perhaps." Endeavor spoke.
"Is that even possible?" Thirteen pondered.
"What isn't possible in this world where we have aliens posing as gods and a glowing Cube that can make disintegration weapons and transport you across the galaxy?" Hawks replied.
The scene shifted to a helicopter flying over a mountain in the night, cloudy sky. As the screen paned higher over the mountain, music played and grew more louder and dramatic, until finally it reached its high point and revealed a large facility, a large assortment satellite dishes by the back of the facility and droves of cars and vehicles driving down in a single line out of the facility.
"It looks like an evacuation." Mandalay said, pointing towards the line of cars. "See all those cars?"
"Indeed." Tiger nodded.
"All personnel," An voice played over the speakers of the facility as the helicopter from before flew closer and lower to the facility while multitude of people ran towards vehicles. "The evacuation order has been confirmed. Proceed to your designated vehicles for a flawless evacuation."
"And our fearless leader is right once again. As always." Pixie Bob exclaimed dramatically.
"Yes, I am." Mandalay said. "Now, since I am always right, will you stop trying to seduce Midoriya into giving you a couple of kittens?"
"Nope." Pixie Bob said. Mandalay face palmed and sighed.
A man in a security outfit was shown waving at people to move quicker, behind him showing a sign with the two symbols of Nasa and S.H.I.E.L.D.
"So this is a S.H.I.E.L.D. facility." David said, his eyes widening. "Could it be where they are keeping the Tesseract?"
"Very likely." Tsukauchi replied. "The fact that Nasa is involved as well and that sign indicating the Department of Energy, then this could be where the Tesseract is kept, and perhaps it has gotten unstable, hence the need for evacuation."
More people were shown evacuating before the helicopter was see again, flying low and landing towards a helipad, the light of the helicopter lighting the waiting form of Agent Yamada, dressed in his suit and sunglasses, as usual.
"And I'm Back, Loyal Listeners!" Mic exclaimed. "Did ya miss me?"
"No." Eraser said dryly, much to Mic's and Midnight's laughter.
"Kind of hard to Hizashi when you are in every movie, expect the prior one." Midnight replied.
The helicopter landed and out of the vehicle came out a woman in a skin-tight black body suit, the S.H.I.E.L.D. logo on her shoulders and a handgun on the belt around her waist. Though the most obvious feature of the woman's identity was her wild, raven black hair in a pony tail and the familiar beautiful face of Midnight.
"MIDNIGHT?!" The students exclaimed in surprise.
"MULTIVERSAL COUNTERPART DETECTED!" F.R.I.D.A.Y. said. "AGENT NEMURI KAYAMA! MULTIVERSAL COUNTERPART: NEMURI KAYAMA AKA MIDNIGHT!"
"Well this is a surprise." Midnight smiled. "And I still look good."
"For a hag." Mount Lady retorted with a challenging smirk.
Midnight glared back at her rival.
Following after Agent Kayama was none other than Director Shouta Aizawa, clad entirely in black combat pants, shirt, leather jacket and gloves and his black eyepatch over his left eye.
"And Mr. Aizawa is there too." Uraraka said. "Weird how three of our teachers are agents of S.H.I.E.L.D."
"It is an interesting fact." Iida said, hand cupping his chin. "Although, what is strange is that you and Shinsou are also S.H.I.E.L.D. agents, Uraraka."
"Oh yeah, Ochaco was Black Widow and Shinsou was another S.H.I.E.L.D. agent shown in Thor." Asui pointed out, before turning to Shinsou. "Shame we didn't get to see more of your character, Shinsou."
"Although maybe we'll see more of him in the future." Izuku said optimistically.
Shinsou nodded, appreciative for Asui and Izuku for acknowledging his own counterpart, and Midoriya for his optimism.
Director Aizawa walked out of the helicopter and joined Nemuri's side, facing Yamada.
"Well, that's nice." Mic said, hugging both Midnight and Aizawa. "Looks like this old crew stays together even throughout the multiverse."
"It is a nice though." Midnight nodded, her smile dropping into a sad one. "Too bad it doesn't appear Shirakumo is here either."
The cheery mood of Mic dropped in sad memory, Aizawa looking down too, a flash of pain appearing in the insomniac's eyes.
"How bad is it?" Aizawa yelled out over the loud rotors of the helicopter and sirens.
"That's the problem, sir." Yamada replied, taking off his sunglasses. "We don't know."
The scene showed an elevator going down a shaft before it switched to the three walking down an underground part of the facility, agents and scientists running past and out, some carrying equipment and cases.
"Dr. Selvig read an energy surge from the Tesseract four hours ago." Yamada reported as they walked.
"Looks like both of you were right, David, Naomasa." Toshinori said.
"Yeah, although, I think I can safely say that the people there would wish I was wrong about the Tesseract." Tsukauchi said, rubbing his neck.
"Nasa didn't authorize Selvig to go to test phase." Aizawa said.
"Selvig." Melissa repeated, before her eyes widened. "Isn't that your counterpart's last name, Daddy?"
"I think so, sweetie." David replied. "I guess I took them up on their offer to work on the Tesseract."
"He wasn't testing it." Yamada revealed. "He wasn't even in the room. Spontaneous event."
"It just turned itself on?" Nemuri asked confused.
"It turned itself on?" Melissa repeated, confused. "Could the Tesseract have some form of consciousness?"
"Perhaps." Izuku said, thinking back to the words of the speaker from the beginning. "That speaker from the beginning said that it was awakened, so this could be what he was talking about."
"Or perhaps it was activated." Todoroki said. "Just not by Mr. Shield."
"Where are the energy levels now?" Aizawa asked.
"Climbing." Yamada answered. "When Selvig couldn't shut it down, we ordered evac."
"What, they couldn't just pull a plug and or remove it?" Kaminari asked.
"Tell me, Jamming Yey, how can they turn off a semi-sentient power source, or how would you remove it when the last time it was touched we saw Shigaraki's counterpart vanish into space?" Kyouka asked dryly.
Kaminari's answer was silence and raised hands in surrender.
"How long before we clear everyone out?" Aizawa asked further.
"Campus should be clear in the next half-hour." Yamada answered.
"Do better." Aizawa ordered. Yamada nodded and turned back to where they came, Nemuri and Shouta continued walking.
"Sir, evacuation may be futile." Kayama said as they walked down a flight of steps.
"We should tell them to go back to sleep?" Aizawa questioned.
"Yeah, that doesn't seem like the best option when a blue cube that can make multiple disintegration guns and bombs is suddenly acting up." Honenuki said.
"If we can't control the Tesseract's energy, there may not Be a minimum safe distance." Kayama pointed out, the two walking through a series of labs and agents hauling equipment.
"That...is also true." Honenuki conceded.
"I need you to make sure the Phase 2 prototypes are shipped out." Shouta ordered undeterred.
"Prototypes?" Mei perked up intrigued.
"Phase 2?" Itsuka repeated.
Izuku frowned, quickly making a page in his notebook with the title being 'What is Phase 2?'
"Sir, is that really a priority right now?" Nemuri asked concerned as they reached another flight of stairs.
"Until such time as the world ends, we will act as though it intends to spin on." Aizawa replied, stopping to look back at Kayama.
"That sounds rational." Momo commented.
"That definitely sounds like something Mr. Aizawa would say." Mina chuckled.
Aizawa narrowed his eyes at the comment but remained silent.
Nemuri blinked her eyes, unable to to see fault in Aizawa's statement. "Clear out the tech below." Aizawa further ordered. "Every piece of Phase 2 on a truck and gone."
"Yes sir." Nemuri said, walking past Aizawa. "You two, with me." She said towards two security agents who followed Kayama to her destination.
Aizawa watched her go before entering a large chamber and room. The back of the room was filled with scientists scrambling towards different machines, security stood by the side, and in the center of the room was a large circular device with the Tesseract planted in the middle, with a runway towards a platform on the other end of the chamber, the ceiling above larger and rotund.
"Talk to me, Doctor." Aizawa called out as he entered.
The screen showed Dr. David Selvig next to the device with the Tesseract as scientist investigates it. "Director." David greeted and walked towards him.
While All Might, Melissa, and Izuku were glad to see the counterpart to David Shield, they were also worried about the man's counterpart sharing an underground roof with an unstable possible weapon of unlimited energy
"Is there anything we know for certain?" Aizawa asked.
"The Tesseract is misbehaving." David said simply, as the scientist poked at the Tesseract with a long needle connected to a stethoscope, the Cube glowing and sparking in blue energy, incinerating the tip of the needle instantly, the scientist pulling back for his safety.
"Yeah, that definitely looks and sounds like an understatement." Kamakiri said. "Wouldn't want to touch that even with one of my blades."
"Is that suppose to be funny?" Aizawa asked again, seriousness and impatience laced in his voice.
"No, its not funny at all." Selvig said, the two meeting and walking back towards the Tesseract and the machines. "The Tesseract is not only active, she's...behaving."
"Perhaps the Tesseract does have a mind of its own, like you said, Melissa." Kyouka said. "Like why now of all times to act up and not sooner?"
"It must have something to do with that army of aliens." Ojiro voiced his opinion. "They knew it was active from wherever they are in space, so maybe they they did something to it to make it act up."
"How soon can you pull the plug?" Shouta asked.
"She's an energy source." David pointed out. "We turn off the power, she turns it back on."
Kyouka looked at Kaminari and threw her hands outward towards the screen, her face practically saying "See." Kaminari once again raised his arms in surrender, his own face, silently, saying "I get it."
"If she reaches peak level-"
"We prepared for this, Doctor." Shouta pointed out. "Harnessing energy from space."
"But we don't have the harness." David retorted. "My calculations are far from complete. And she's throwing off interference, radiation." Aizawa looked to the misbehaving, humming Tesseract. "Nothing harmful, low levels of gamma radiation."
Aizawa looked back at Selvig. "That can be harmful." He retorted back, a knowing look and tone in his eye and voice.
Hawks noticed the look and tone of Aizawa's counterpart, narrowing his eyes in curiosity, wondering what kind of 'harmfulness' this Aizawa faced to think that.
"Where's Agent Barton?" Aizawa questioned.
David looked up from his machine and scoffed. "The Hawk?" He questioned before pointing behind him. "Up in his nest, as usual."
The screen paned behind David to show a figure in black up in a balcony above the rest in the back of the room. The screen shifted to see the figure be revealed as Agent Hitoshi Barton.
"Hey, look! You are here, Shinsou!" Izuku pointed out excitingly.
"Just as you said." Shinsou nodded, pleased to see his other self.
"Although its a little weird to see you with shorter hair, Shinsou." Kaminari spoke up. "Um, no offense."
"None taken." Shinsou replied, he himself finding the sight different.
"Wait, why did Mr. Shield call Shinsou the Hawk?" Hagakure asked. "Is Shinsou in this world have a Quirk like Hawk's?"
"No, I don't believe so." Jurota replied. "Every single agent of S.H.I.E.L.D., up to this point, hasn't had any kind of superhuman abilities, like Quirks. Uraraka's counterpart in Black Widow was the closest, yet her strength is obviously of trained skill, espionage, and her gadgets."
"Plus, did you guys forget that when we saw him in Thor, he had a bow in his hand?" Setsuna pointed out. "Maybe he's just a good shot in a bow, or maybe has a Quirk that lets him see far like a hawk."
"You are not far off, Setsuna Tokage," F.R.I.D.A.Y. spoke up. "But Hitoshi Barton is just as Quirkless, as you would say, as most humans are in this world."
Izuku perked up, clearly more interested, as was Shinsou, Aizawa, and the rest of the group.
"Could you tell us more about Shinsou's counterpart?" Yui asked.
"Indeed I could." F.R.I.D.A.Y. answered, showing an image of Shinsou and a list of skills. "Hitoshi Barton. Skillset and abilities: Master archer, peak human physique, stamina, durability, speed, strength, super quick reflexes, unmatched eyesight, analysis, and combat prowess. Field Codename: Hawkeye."
At the reveal of Hitoshi Barton's skills and his codename, the group were surprised and impressed. Izuku was practically writing down the info at lightning fast speeds and exciting enthusiasm, joyful at the knowledge of another Quirkless person, much like how he was, and Stark and Romanoff still are, being Heroes, or skilled like Heroes. Melissa was similarly pleased, inspired and her mind once more thinking back to her idea and proposal that she wished to make to her dad, Nezu, and Mei.
Shinsou looked at the skills and information on his counterpart with surprise and with growing pride. 'Hawkeye, huh.' Shinsou thought of his counterpart's codename and then thinking back to his own need for Hero name. 'Cool name, but, its not for me. Hmm, perhaps Midoriya could help? He's the biggest Hero fanboy I know, maybe he could figure out a unique name for me?'
Others took it will more shock, and even disbelief. Bakugou blinked in surprise, though found himself, much to his own surprise, quickly accepting it. After all, his own counterpart was essentially a Quirkless Hero and Deku has proven time and time to the explosive teen that bullied him that a Quirk isn't what makes a Hero.
Monoma however was a different story.
"Ha! That's it!" Monoma laughed out tauntingly. "So he's just a strong dude that's good with a bow? So uninteresting! What help would that be?!"
"Would easily beat your ass if you didn't have any Quirks to copy." Yui retorted, glaring lightly at Monoma.
"OH! Burn!" Sen and Kaminari exclaimed, to the laughter of the students and Monoma fuming in embarrassment and petty anger.
Shinsou turned towards Yui. "T-Thank you." He thanked, hoping the simple, strained tone of his anti-socialness didn't make him come off as ungrateful.
"It was no problem." Yui replied back, actually smiling towards Shinsou.
Shinsou taken aback, a small blush on his cheeks and nodded. And just as the smile came, it then left and Yui turned her attention back to the screen. Shinsou, however, was left confused. He gulped down the anxious bubble that seem to form in his throat and rubbed the back of his sweaty neck, unsure why he felt so nervous then, well more nervous than usual. The only thing that he could make sense of and say with 100% definitively was: 'Her smile, it was...cute.'
"Agent Barton, report." Aizawa's voice came through Barton's radio, the agent getting up from his position and shimmy down on a rope.
"I gave you this detail so you could keep a close eye on things." Aizawa reprimanded the agent.
"Well I see better from a distance." Hitoshi replied.
"Actually now that I think of it, Bag Eyes actually has my Quirk." Mei said. "Well, not my Quirk as its his power but he has great aim and can see from far away."
"Huh, now I wonder if perhaps giving the kid a gun would make her quite the sharpshooting Heroine." Snipe said to Power Loader.
"...Why do you guys hate me?" Power Loader asked, the mental image of Hatsumei with a sniper rifle making the teacher shudder and know he will have nightmares tonight.
Speaking of snipers and good aim, Hawk's thoughts turned towards his predecessor, Lady Nagant and wondered who would come out on top between a sharpshooting match between the two.
"Bag Eyes?" Shinsou repeated, touching the bags under his eyes.
"Have you seen anything that might set this thing off?" Aizawa questioned.
"Doctor's, its spiking again." A female scientist spoke up, the screen beside her showing an imaging of the Tesseract, red blotches forming on the it and red and white light shining in the center while Warning signs read off to the side.
"Well, that doesn't look good." Mirio said.
"Are we just gonna say obvious things over and over?" Tamaki nervously whispered.
"Isn't that obvious enough?" Nejire replied cheekily.
"No one's come or gone." Barton reported as they reached the Tesseract. "And Selvig's clean. No contacts, no IMs." He watched as Selvig went to the scientist and stared at the readings as the red blotches grew. "If there was any tampering, sir, it wasn't at this end."
Aizawa looked to Barton, confusion in his eye. "At this end?" Aizawa repeated, clarification requested.
"Yeah, the Cube is a doorway to the other end of space, right?" Hitoshi pointed out, looking at the Tesseract as it sparked with blue lightning before looking at Aizawa. "Doors open from both sides."
Eyes started to widen at the simple, yet enlightening analogy.
"It appears that perhaps you weren't far off, Ojiro." Tokoyami said.
"Now I wish I wasn't." Ojiro replied.
"Not yet." David grumbled as the earth started to rumble.
The Tesseract flashed and sparked, causing Aizawa and Barton to step back in surprise. Blue energy crackled and surged around the Tesseract wildly. Yamada, standing beside a few scientists at another level of the facility, steadied himself against the wall as the earth rumbled beneath him, a look of concern and alarm in his eyes. Nemuri, inside an underground parkway, heard and felt the rumbling too, looking back confused and concerned as well.
"Okay, That's not good." Mineta said.
"What part?" Kaminari asked. "The part where an alien invasion might end up happening right now or that the earth is rumbling from that power when Mr. Aizawa, Shinsou, Ms. Midnight, Mic and Mr. Shield are underground or above it?"
"Both." Mineta said.
The Tesseract's energy grew wilder and wilder, the earth rumbling around it. Everyone in the room froze and watched it as it hummed and sparked. Blue wisps of energy started circling the Cube, the humming grower louder and louder, until it the energy fired off in a beam of blue light towards the platform, a large blue portal opening up. The portal grew and grew, the other end being more easily seen as the black and starry background of space.
"A portal." Melissa gaped in shock. "Like the one that transported Red Skull."
"The sheer power to create a wormhole between two different points of space, and at such great lengths as well, is astounding and frightening." David gasped out, both in awe and horror.
The energy hummed and grew till the portal collapsed and unleashed a wave of blue cosmic energy, blowing back some of the agents and David looking in complete shock. The portal was gone, replaced by a small, smoking crater that remained of the platform. The blue residual energy that shot out from the portal flowed upwards and swarmed together in a large ball of blue energy.
In the smoking, heating crater that was the platform, a figure kneeled in the center, his form smoking with blue cosmic energy, in his right hand the golden Scepter.
"Its the guy with the Scepter." Mina pointed out.
"But who is it?" Kinoko asked.
Monoma and All Might stared hard the figure, finding the man more similar. Then their eyes widened in complete shock.
"No..." All Might gasped
Aizawa and Barton stood steady by the machines as a few S.H.I.E.L.D. agents inched closer to the figure, guns raised.
The figure stood up, revealing more of his form, consisting of a mix of green and golden armor and robes, a golden shoulder pad sticking out of his right and a black leathery one on his left. The figure with jet-black hair raised his head to show the sweating, mischievous smile and eyes of Loki.
"LOKI?!/MONOMA?!" The students yelled.
"Urgh, how could I have not have seen it sooner." Momo groaned. "The armor that Loki wore looks nearly the same."
"But I thought he died at the end of Thor?" Tetsutetsu asked confused.
"Remember the post credit scene at the end of Thor, bro?" Kirishima said. "Where we saw the Tesseract for the first time? Loki was in the mirror next to Mr. Shield's counterpart."
"Oh yeah! Now I remember!" Tetsutetsu exclaimed.
"Wait, but if he's the guy who the speaker from before gave that Scepter to, then doesn't that mean that-"
"Loki is working with the bad aliens." Itsuka finished Reiko's question with an answer, a grim look on her face.
All Might saw the return of his brother from another life, his emotions conflicting on how to feel. The former Number 1 didn't know whether to be relieved that his other self's brother was truly alive, in one piece, or saddened upon his return, given that Kendo's statement appeared true. Vlad was likewise of mixed opinion between the relief of one of his student's, from another life, safety or dread of the horrible things to come from the Villainous counterpart to his student.
Monoma stared at the return of his other self in surprise and horror. At any other time, he would brag in victory that his other self had cheated Death and survived, but given that it was his Villainous version, one teamed up with other Villains, Monoma's glory died and was replaced with dread and fear.
Aizawa and Barton stared at the new arrival. Loki stared back, his grin faltering and lowering to a frown as he looked at David Selvig. Loki rose up more, his scepter leveled at his side.
"Sir, please put down the spear." Aizawa ordered.
Loki looked down at the scepter in his hands. He raised it up further to his face, his face close to the blue gem. He looked back at Aizawa and the rest before pointing at them, gritting his teeth as from the blue gem fired a blue bolt of energy. Barton jumped to action quickly, pushing Aizawa and himself to the ground, the blue bolt crashing into the machine behind them.
"God dammit." Itsuka cursed, unpleased once again to see her classmate's counterpart once more on the side of evil.
The agents opened fire, unleashing a flurry of bullets at Loki who jumped towards them. The bullets landed lightly against Loki's armor, the God of Mischief seemingly unfazed as he sailed towards one of the agents. He landed and plunged the blade of the scepter into the guard's chest and knocked the agent next to him to the ground. The other guards, behind him, fired, Loki responding by swiftly turning and tossing out two knives at them, landing and piercing the guard's necks.
"Oh god." Pony gaped in horror and fear.
Izuku and Mirio were quick to cover Eri and Mirio's eyes of ensuing carnage. Izuku, as he was covering Kouta's eyes, analyzed and scanned Loki's swift movements, his graceful, yet deadly precise throws, and how he angled and twisted his body into a spin.
Loki fired another bolt of blue energy it striking the scientist from before and the machine next to her, the glass shattering at the impact. The agent on the ground got up and tried to fire on Loki, the former Prince of Asgard swiftly slashing at him. Barton and two agents fired on Loki, Barton's bullet hitting Loki's chest, causing Loki a grunt of discomfort. Loki fired another blue bolt at him, Barton quickly jumping out of the way, the bolt instead hitting the agent behind him square in the chest, the impact knocking the other agent to the ground. Loki kicked another agent away, the agent colliding with the wall with bone-snapping impact.
All Might flinched at the sound of the bones snapping, anger and sadness the primary emotions the former Symbol of Peace had towards his other life's brother, anger at his actions and sadness over how his brother was clearly lost, or so Toshinori argued that he was.
Vlad King growled in anger and frustration, his fists clenching so hard that they cracked audibly. Nezu likewise frowned in displeasure at seeing the murder of the guards by the hands of one of his student's counterpart.
Loki stopped and steadied himself looking over the room and the carnage he inflicted, with everyone on the ground either injured or killed, machines sparking destroyed around him.
"Jesus." Setsuna cursed, a frown on her face.
Ibara sent pray after pray to the agents and guards who fought bravely, the poor scientists unjustly caught in the demigod's rampage, and to Loki himself, for him to see the error of his ways and to not hold her classmate accountable for his other life's actions.
Hitoshi groggily got up only for Loki to reach him. Hitoshi tried to bring his gun up to shoot at him, but Loki grabbed his arm in a tight grip, Hitsohi groaning and struggling as his arm and gun pointed away from the demigod.
"No!" Izuku shouted.
"Dammit." Shinsou growled in anger for being caught.
Loki looked at the struggling man in his grasp. "You have heart." He whispered, acknowledgement in his eyes.
Aizawa got up to his knees beside the Tesseract and a case next to him, and looked to Loki and Hitoshi.
Loki moved his scepter to Hitoshi's chest, not piercing him, but tapping his chest. Instantly, a blue glow spread from the gem and bloody spearpoint to Hitoshi's body, the blue glow seeping into his chest, traveling up the veins in his neck as they glowed blue, and to his eyes. Hitoshi's eyes glowed became pitch black, a white dot of a pupil left in his eyes as he looked at Loki. The black in his eyes vanished, but his eyes were left with a blue glaze over them. Hitoshi stopped his struggling. Loki released his grip on Hitoshi's hand. Hitoshi stood there, no effort made to attack his foe, but instead placed his gun back in his holster and stood by Loki attentively and nodded, Aizawa watching with both fascination and horror.
Eyes went wide with the same reaction as the other Aizawa.
"What the hell did I just see?" Mineta asked horrified.
"The Scepter, the gem, it brainwashed Shinsou." Izuku said, horrified eyes widened.
"Well, this is sadly ironic." Kamakiri grumbled.
Shinsou had to agree with the 1-B classmate. The Brainwashing Quirk user stared at the screen with eyes of pure shock and horror, not sure whether to rage or bitterly laugh at the sheer dark irony of himself, even if it was another him, being brainwashed of all people, and for the sake of potential Villainy. He could practically hear the jabs and mocking from his old classmates over his Quirk, calling it the perfect Quirk for a Villain. He clenched his fists in anger, unpleased at the growing thought that they were perhaps right.
As Loki turned swiftly towards another target, Aizawa quickly grabbed the Tesseract, the blue Cube hissing out smoke, and placed it in the metal case. Aizawa closed it and looked up to see Loki tapping his scepter to another agent the same blue glow spreading to the man's now black eyes and brainwashing him as well.
"Smart." Endeavor said. "He knows that he is clearly outmatched after what Loki has shown to be capable of. He's attempting to escape with the Cube while Loki is distracted brainwashing others."
"But wait why didn't he vanish like Red Skull when he touched the Tesseract?" Miruko asked. "And don't say because he was wearing gloves, cause a) that's bullshit and b) Red Skull also had gloves on back then."
"Perhaps it is because its calmed down." Edgeshot said. "When Red Skull picked up the Tesseract, it was wild with energy after Midoriya knocked Red Skull onto it and the machine harnessing it. But when Aizawa picked it up, it seemed calmer, less wild with energy than before, that being because it already used up its built up energy to create the portal that brought Loki here."
"Guess that makes sense." Hawks shrugged. "That or Aizawa has some crazy plot armor or something."
Aizawa made to get up and quietly walk away. "Please don't." Loki spoke up, stopping Aizawa in his tracks, knowing it was referred to him. Loki looked to Aizawa. "I still need that."
"This doesn't have to get any messier." Aizawa said.
"Come on, you idiot." Itsuka whispered. "Listen to him, please."
"Of course it does." Loki replied, the brainwashed agent at his side. "I've come too far for anything else." Aizawa turned and looked to the demigod.
"I am Loki, of Asgard." Loki introduced himself. David looked up from inspecting the now dead scientist with surprise and shock. "And I am burdened with Glorious Purpose."
"Loki," David gasped out, standing up in alarm. "Brother of Thor."
Loki looked to David, an annoyed growl and flash of hatred flashing in his eyes.
Melissa's worry suddenly skyrocketed, remembering that her father was in the same room with Loki.
"We have no quarrel with your people." Aizawa spoke up, raising his hand in peace, all the while the blue energy that swarmed together above grew larger and rumbled lightly.
Nezu noticed the forming energy from the portal and perked up.
"An ant has no quarrel with a boot." Loki fired back at Aizawa.
"And sadly, this Monoma still has a superiority complex." Setsuna growled in distaste. "Only its worse now that its a Villainous version that has it."
Monoma would have retorted, if he wasn't silently agreeing with his classmate.
"Are you planning to step on us?" Aizawa asked, furthering the analogy.
"I come with glad tidings," Loki responded as he walked to Selvig. "Of a world made free."
"Free from what?" Aizawa asked.
"Freedom." Loki answered, Aizawa frowning at the answer. "Freedom is Life's great Lie."
"How does that make sense?" Rin questioned, confused. "How is freedom something that we need to be free from?"
"Perhaps, in his narcissistic fervor, Loki believes that Humanity with the ability of free is illogical and believes that he, a god, is worthy of ruling and controlling us." Edgeshot said.
"That or he's just another insane Villain that thinks himself better than everyone else and wants to prove it by world domination." Miruko said. "You could have just said that and spared the psychology stuff."
"Once you accept that, in your Heart," Loki swiftly turned and pressed the scepter to David's chest, brainwashing him. "You will know Peace."
"DADDY!" Melissa yelled in horror.
"Shit." David growled quietly.
All Might growled in anger. 'Brother...why?' He thought as he saw his friend from both lives become a brainwashed pawn of his Villainous brother from another life.
"Yeah, you say 'peace'," Aizawa retorted, Hitoshi looking up at the ceiling and the swirling energy bubble. "I kind of think you mean the other thing."
"Sir, Director Aizawa is stalling." Barton said, walking up to Loki's side. "This place is about to blow, and drop a hundred feet of rock on us." He gestured towards the energy bubble. "He intends to bury us."
"Like the Pharaohs of old." Aizawa admitted.
"B-But would that mean that Aizawa would be buried too?" Hagakure asked.
"Sacrifice is part of the job, kids." Aizawa said. "I thought you would have already figured that out by now with All Might, Bakugou, and Midoriya."
"Doesn't mean that the kids can't still be upset about it, Aizawa." Toshinori replied. "Just because its rational, doesn't mean that accepting it is any less difficult."
Aizawa was silent momentarily. "That...was strangely wise, All Might." Aizawa said simply. "Surprised that an idiot like you could come up with something smart as that."
All Might chuckled, a sweat drop over his head, choosing to take the backhanded compliment of the stern teacher of Class 1-A.
"He's right." Selvig chimed in. "The portal is collapsing in on itself. We've got maybe two minutes before this goes critical."
"Well, then." Loki turned to Barton with a wordless order in his eyes.
Hitoshi complied and fired his handgun, striking at Aizawa in the chest, sending the eyepatch wearing man to the ground in a groan and dropping the case.
"NO!" All of Class 1-A and the teachers yelled.
Monoma and Shinsou gaped in horror at what they just did, one for ordering it, and the other for doing it.
Aizawa's eyes glared at the screen, cursing under his breathe. Meanwhile, Mic and Midnight were wide eyed in horror and disbelief.
Loki and three brainwashed underlings marched past Aizawa, grabbing the case with the Tesseract, and made to leave.
"Shit, they got the Tesseract." Hawks cursed.
"No no no no." Mic said over and over, grief and pain flooding his features. "Y-You can't have died just like that. Not like him. Not again."
Loki and the three made it to the underground parkway. Hitoshi pointed to the cars and said to the agents there "I need these vehicles."
Kayama looked to the three, especially at Loki, who sat himself in the back of the pickup truck, curiously. "Who's that?" Nemuri asked.
"They didn't tell me." Barton lied as he continued to the vehicle and the other two got into the car.
Kayama made to walk back. "Kayama!" Aizawa's voice played out of her radio, Loki whirling overhearing it.
Aizawa, back in the chamber and alive, ripped out the bullet from his bulletproof vest. "Do you copy?!" He grunted out.
"Oh, thank god!" Mina sighed in relief. "I thought Shinsou killed him."
"We all thought that." Asui replied.
Shinsou breathed a sigh of relief as well that he didn't kill his mentor. A similar breath of relief escaped through the mouths of Mic and Midnight, their grief and pain washing away with relief. Aizawa too sighed in relief, that his protégé didn't have to bear any irrational weight of killing him in another life.
"Barton has turned." Kayama heard Aizawa say, quickly ducking behind a pillar as Barton fired on her with his handgun, the bullets striking uselessly on the pillar. Kayama hide behind the cover as Barton fired more bullets, before he quickly got into the driver's seat and drove the car to the exit. Nemuri got out and fired at the two cars driving away, the bullets failing to hit their targets effectively.
Aizawa stumbled out of the room, the collapsing portal growing larger and the earth rumbling more violently. "They have the Tesseract!" Aizawa radioed out. "Shut them down!"
Nemuri got into a jeep and quickly drove after them. Barton and Loki noticed the three vehicles pursuing them. Loki leaned over as they fired on him, aimed his scepter at one of the cars, and fired. The blast burst through the side of one of the cars, as well as the shooter hanging from said side, the car swerving until it flipped and tumbled, blocking the other two cars.
"Did he just vaporize that dude?" Kaminari asked. "He wasn't there after the blast?"
"Probably better to be complete disintegration than have the kids there see a pile of pieces or a hole through his chest." Sero said.
As the collapsing portal grew more unstable, Shouta ran through the rumbling, sparking halls of the facility. With Yamada up top, he tumbled to the ground from the rumbling, the agents beside him likewise falling, the crates they were hauling falling down in a cluster. He and the agents got up, and while the agents went to grab the crates, Yamada waved them off. "Okay let's go. No, leave it. Go!" He ordered.
"Lesson number...something, kids. The lives of civilians before anything else." Mic said.
Barton drove the car down the underground road until Nemuri's jeep appeared in front of them, cutting them off from another route. She shifted the gear and drifted her jeep till it was facing Barton's car and the two clashed noses against each other, Nemuri's driving backwards and Hitoshi's forwards. The two opened fire on each other, Nemuri's breaking a hole in her windshield and firing through it while Hitoshi fired his gun out the window.
"That is badass!" Tetsutetsu exclaimed.
"I'll admit, that was pretty cool." Mount Lady smirked. "Not bad for an old hag."
"Keep it up and this 'old hag' will have to give you some discipline, you little hussy." Midnight growled, bringing out her whip from somewhere inside her casual clothes.
'Please keep it up. Please keep it up. Please keep it up.' Mineta mentally begged, drooling at the imaginary sight of Midnight spanking Mount Lady. Unfortunately, his perverted face was noticed by Jirou, who snapped the perv out of his trance with a jack blasting her heartbeat into his ear.
"We're clear upstairs, sir." Yamada radioed as he and a few agents got on a jeep. "We need to go."
Aizawa got out the door and rushed to another helicopter, jumping inside, and the copter rising in the air as the ground below them started to crumble.
"Well that was close, Shouta." Midnight said. "Got on at the last second."
"Better late than never, right?" Mic said. "Or are you gonna berate and scold yourself to be faster?"
Aizawa aimed a warning glare at Yamada in response.
Nemuri ducked a bullet from Hitoshi, the Hawkeye taking the chance to shift the car's path and Nemuri's jeep swerved out of the way, yet continued and followed behind them.
"Smart. He realizes they are on a timetable, so instead of just trying to kill her, he used his bullets to distract Kayama enough for him to get her out of his way and escape quicker." Snipe explained.
The collapsing portal's energy suddenly shrunk into itself before exploding outward. The rumble shaking the jeep Yamada was on. The resulting collapse Aizawa saw outside the helicopter, witnessing as the ground bulged and shot up before collapsing like water, the entire facility sinking into the earth. Yamada looked outside his jeep, the car barely escaping the collapse while he looked in shock at the destruction left in the Cube's wake.
"My god." David gasped out.
The students were likewise wide eyed in horror over more evidence of the power and destruction that the Tesseract is capable of.
With Nemuri and Loki, Loki looked back to see the earth behind them collapsing, Nemuri driving quickly in an attempt to escape it. Suddenly, two pieces of earth collapsed in front of her, trapping her and her car, the collapse luckily stopping and leaving an opening for Kayama to look out in anger as Loki and Hitoshi drove away.
"Miss Midnight!" Hagakure cried out in worry.
"Don't worry, kids." Thirteen spoke up. "Midnight's counterpart appears to be alright. The roof seemed to have collapsed just above her head, but didn't crush her. Plus, there is an opening between those rocks, so she can be easily extracted through or crawl out carefully."
Uraraka didn't even have to ask Deku to write down the helpful Rescue Hero advice, glancing over to see the green-haired teen already writing it down.
The car the three were on drove out of the tunnel where they were met with Aizawa's helicopter. Barton drove out of the road and into the dirt, dust kicking up from the car's tires and the helicopter's blades. The helicopter veered and adjusted to be on the car's path, Aizawa opening the doors and aiming his gun. Aizawa fired, the bullets landing, Hitoshi even ducking to escape injury from the bullet that blasted through the window.
"Nice shot, Eraser." Vlad complimented. "Quite the good shots for a man without one eye."
Aizawa simply nodded, hoping to see the bullet incapacitate one of the three, mostly Shinsou, to a small degree to get him to stop the car, and Loki, to take him out of the fight.
Loki aimed the scepter up to the helicopter and fired another bolt of energy. The bolt struck the copter's side, flames exploding out from the rotor and it swirled and spun towards the ground while the car drove on.
"Shit." Aizawa cursed.
Just as the chopper neared the ground, Aizawa jumped off and tumbled safely to the ground while the chopper crashed.
"Phew." Mic breathed out in relief. "Dude, for the Director of that spy network, you sure are getting yourself in dangerous situations."
"Just because you are important and vital to a certain group or operation doesn't mean that you can't assist or take part when needed." Aizawa said.
Deku perked up, thoughts running through his head about what would happen if the Villain ever find out about One For All and whether he would have to run away from U.A. to avoid them, and especially if Shigaraki or, God forbid, All For One went after him. Izuku decided to write down Aizawa's words and his answer to his thoughts in the front part of his journal, hoping to never have to resort to such means in the future.
Aizawa fired on the escaping car, his shots failing. The car drove down the dark road, Loki looking back and smiling at their escape.
"Dang it." Kirishima frowned. "Loki's escaped, and with that blue Cube of unlimited power, no less."
"And is trying to get an army of aliens to invade Earth." Mirio said, likewise frowning. "That is really bad."
"Director." Yamada's voice called out from Aizawa's radio as the Director of S.H.I.E.L.D. got up. "Director Aizawa, do you copy?"
"The Tesseract is with a hostile force." Aizawa reported. "I have men down. Kayama?"
"A lot of men still under." Kayama reported, getting out of her jeep with the earth still on top of earth. "Don't know how many survivors?"
"See?" Thirteen said to the students, who nodded assured.
"Although, the fact there could be people that didn't evacuate in time and are in that rubble is...worrying." Ryukyu said, her fellow Heroes frowning, none of them liking the chances for survivors in that massive chasm where there was once a facility.
"Sound a general call." Aizawa ordered. "I want every living soul not working rescue looking for that briefcase."
"Roger that." Kayama said.
"Yamada, get back to base." Aizawa ordered further. "This is a Level Seven." Hizashi and Nemuri listened on concerned at the news. "As of right now, We are at War."
Hawks and Endeavor frowned, their thoughts towards the Paranormal Liberation Front, lead by the League of Villains. 'And in our world, soon, we will be at war too.' Endeavor thought, looking down towards the students, especially at Shoto, Bakugou, and Midoriya. 'I hope by that time, you all will be ready.'
Hizashi breathed out a sigh. "What do we do?" He asked.
Aizawa looked out to the escaping jeep's path, dramatic, epic music playing out as the screen showed his frowning face.
The music roared out dramatically as the title appeared: The Avengers.
"That music is sick!" Kyouka said, feeling pumped up by the Avengers theme.
"You said it, girl!" Setsuna exclaimed. "It sounds so badass and heroic!"
"Hey, Miss F.R.I.D.A.Y." Kirishima spoke up.
"Oh please, Miss F.R.I.D.A.Y. was my motherboard's name. Just call me F.R.I.D.A.Y." The A.I. joked.
Kirishima chuckled. "Alright, F.R.I.D.A.Y., would it be possible to download that music? I kinda want to have that playing while I'm working out at the gym."
"Oh, that's an awesome idea!" Tetsutetsu exclaimed. "Same here! Can we do that?!"
"Sure, don't see why not." F.R.I.D.A.Y. replied. "After the video is over, remind me and I can upload it into your phones."
"Cool!" Kirishima exclaimed. "That's so Manly of you!"
"Uh, you're welcome?" F.R.I.D.A.Y. said, her tone momentarily confused at Kirishima's praise.
The scene changed to train running down a track at night. The scene moved to the inside of an abandoned warehouse. Moving up to the second floor, a group of three men stood around a spotlight shined a figure in a chair. One of the men struck the figure tied to the chair, the figure revealing to be Ochaco Romanoff.
"Uraraka!" The students yelled in both surprise and worry at her counterpart's predicament.
Izuku glared hatefully at the man who struck Uraraka, his fists cracking and green lightening sparking off of him. Uraraka too glared at the screen, fully serious and wondering how she got into this situation and how she was going to get out of it.
Ochaco shook off the hit and looked back at her captors, the screen showing her in a beautiful black dress, her impressive cleavage on display, with a ripped up pantyhose, her hair a mix of red and brown and shorter, now only reaching barely to her shoulders, and less curlier than Iron Man 2.
"Ooh, you changed your look, Uraraka." Mina said, looking at Romanoff's new look. "I like it, though I prefer the one before."
"I like this one better." Kyouka replied. "Fits our Uraraka more with the shorter hair."
Some of the guys, coughMineta, Kaminari, and Koseicough, gawked and blushed at the new look and attire of Ochaco Romanoff. Ibarra's eyes twitched a bit, remembering how annoyed and jealous she was watching Katsuki fawn all over the beautiful redhead, only calming down when she remembered that their Uraraka was clearly interested in Midoriya, and that Uraraka and Bakugou have a weird mixture of respect and rivalry between them, not at all romantic. Izuku likewise blushed at the new look though shook his head and tried to stay focused on the situation Uraraka was in.
"This is not how I wanted this evening to go." The lead man, an old man in a military attire and white hair spoke in Russian.
"I know how you wanted this evening to go." Ochaco replied back in Russian too. "Believe me, this is better."
'I agree.' Izuku thought, shaking his head from the sudden surge of jealousy that wash over him, confused on why he felt it and what it could mean.
"Who are you working for?" The Russian man questioned. "Lermentov, yes?" The man who struck Ochaco walking up to her again, tipping her chair backwards, revealing there to be a large opening and hole. "Does he think we have to go through him to move our cargo?" The man questioned further, Ochaco trying to plant her feet to the ground.
"An interrogation." Mandalay said. "Perhaps, with her being a spy, she infiltrated the Russian government, or a Russian gang, to gain intel on them."
"And it didn't go well apparently." Mount Lady spoke up.
"Or perhaps its all part of her plan." Midnight expressed her opinion.
"I thought General Solohob is in charge of the export business." Romanoff said, the thug returning her chair back to place.
"Solohob?" The man chuckled out. "A Bagman, a Front. Your outdated information betrays you." He walked closer. "The famous Black Widow, and she turns out to be simply another pretty face."
"You really think I'm pretty?" Romanoff questioned.
Before Mineta could speak, Kaminari clasped a hand over his mouth, jerking his head to the side towards Midoriya, who, by his glaring eyes was clearly not in a good mood. For once, Mineta nodded and refrained from speaking.
The Russian man smirked before turning around, the thug grabbing her behind her head and her jaw. "Tell Lermentov we don't need him to move the tanks." The man said, walking up to torture devices laid on a table. "Tell him he is out. Well..." He looked back to Ochaco as he picked up one tool. "You may have to write it down." He switched to English.
Suddenly, the second thug's phone rang. The thug answered it with a simple "Da?" He looked to his boss after a moment and said in Russian "Its for her."
The lead man set down the tool and grabbed the phone, bringing it to his ear. "You listen carefully-" The man spoke in Russian again before he was cut off.
"You're at 1-14 Silensky Plaza, 3rd floor." Yamada's voice spoke out of the phone, cutting the man off. "We have an F-22 exactly eight miles out. Put the woman on the phone or I will blow up the block before you can make the lobby."
"Wow." Snipe said. "Your counterpart is very brutal when it comes to threats, Mic."
"I'm just cool that way." Mic bragged, fixing up his sunglasses while smirking, willfully ignoring Aizawa's and Kayama's eye rolls, the later one's being fond and the former annoyed.
The man froze before walking up to Ochaco and placing the phone by her shoulder. Ochaco lowered her head to the side to hold the phone and listen. "We need you to come in." Yamada spoke.
"Are you kidding?" Ochaco spoke in English. "I'm working."
"Strange line of work." Itsuka said.
"That's the spy life." Setsuna shrugged.
"This takes precedence." Yamada replied.
"I'm in the middle of an interrogation." Ochaco said, glaring at the man. "This moron is giving me everything."
"I don't...give everything." The man protested, confused.
"Are you sure about that?" Kaminari memed, flinching and raising his hands in surrender as Kyouka's jack neared his head.
Romanoff looked at him unimpressed. "Look you can't pull me out this right now-"
"Ochaco," Yamada cut her off, the screen switching to Yamada in some new facility. "Barton's been compromised."
Ochaco froze, her eyes widened in alarm and surprise. After a moment, she said "Let me put you on hold." She said, looking at the man with a wordless request to take the phone.
"So, Shinsou and Uraraka are close in this world?" Hagakure asked.
"Likely." Momo replied. "If his danger is enough to get her to accept immediately, then they must be close friends of some sort."
'Please just be friends. Please just be friends.' Shinsou prayed in his mind, knowing full well of the attraction that Uraraka has over Midoriya, and the oblivious attraction he has towards Uraraka too, along with the other girls and Tokage too. And after seeing the lengths of Midoriya's rage, he doesn't want to have that jealous rage directed at him.
The man obliged and reached for the phone only for Ochaco to strike the man's leg with her foot, sending the man down to his knees where his head met Ochaco's own, sending him to the ground. Ochaco stood up, still tied to the chair as the two thugs rushed her. She kicked the first one back and ducked right hook from the second. She countered by swinging the chair she was tied to to his side, knocking him to the floor. She dropped to the ground in a roll. She got up to the thug she first kicked back as he got up, her back towards him, hit the man with the chair's legs, stunning him, before the chair legs down, one of them landing on the thug's foot. She whipped her hair back, snapping at the man's face with a whip-like sound.
"Yeah, go Uraraka!" Mina cheered. "Kick those guy's asses!"
"Oh my god, this is so awesome!" Setsuna cheered. "She's beating them up while still tied to a chair! Its so awesome and hilarious!"
Mineta practically slobbered as she saw Uraraka's counterpart fight, eyes practically glued to her cleavage bouncing, with only the imminent threat of a Midoriya ass-whooping to keep the purple pervert keeping his mouth shut.
As the man held his face in pain, Ochaco leg swept him to the ground and kneed the other, advancing thug in the ribs. While this was happening, Yamada waited patiently on the other line, not at all reacting to the sounds of groans and pain like it was a regular Tuesday.
"Does nothing faze you in this world, Yamada?" Midnight questioned.
"The only instance of Yamada losing his cool so far was when he saw the half-created replica of Midoriya's shield." Cementoss pointed out.
Romanoff jumped off one of the men, flipped in the air, and landed on her back on the thug, the chair breaking into pieces and freeing her, somewhat, her hands still tied to the broken planks.
"Smart." Miruko smirked, cracking her fists in anticipation. "Used her own weight, gravity, and momentum to slam the chair into that thug's back to break the wooden chair's structure to break her free of her restraints and fight more effectively. Hey, Uraraka!" She looked down towards Uraraka. "You anyway as skilled other you there?"
"Oh um...I-I don't know!" Uraraka stuttered at the attention of the Number 5 Hero. "I mean I think I'm decent at hand-to-hand combat. I owe all my thanks to Gunhead for teaching me all I know."
"Decent?" Izuku repeated aghast. "Uraraka, you're awesome at fighting! The way you took down Thirteen with that Gunhead Martial Arts move, how you held down Toga, and when you captured Monoma while I froze. You were great even before Gunhead, standing up to and taking on Kacchan!"
Uraraka blushed furiously. "Oh Stop it, Deku! You're too much!" Uraraka exclaimed, turning her blushing and smiling face away while waving her hands, her heart, inwardly, jumping in joy.
Miruko smirked at the scene for a multitude of reasons. For one, how amusing it was to see the girl's over the top reaction to the praise from the boy, who she found likewise amusing, and cute, from his confused look. She likewise found it more amusing at the glares of jealousy coming off the other girls, and, likewise, made her even more interested in green-haired boy, her interest already at a peak from the previous movie and all his hunky counterpart's glory.
'And his own hunky glory.' Miruko thought shamelessly, remembering, and licking her lips, at the memory of his shirtless form, and his muscled physique currently being hugged by his new black, sleeveless shirt.
She rolled out only to be grabbed in a bear hug by the other thug. She broke free and twisted the guy's right hand, making him scream in pain. She struck his side with the plank her hand was tied to and again in the face, the plank flying free from her bonds. She dropped kicked him back, landing on her back before flipping back up. She ran up to the thug, jumped onto him, wrapping her legs around his neck, and flipped him around to the ground with her legs.
Izuku face was burning red and stupefied, gaping in awe and a slight drop of drool escaping from his agape mouth and accidentally landing on a Kouta, who's irritated cry snapped Izuku from his stupor and apologize, while also blushing harder, somehow, from embarrassment. This was once again noticed by the girls, with notable responses being ranges of jealousy, especially from Setsuna, to furious blushes, like Uraraka's, who secretly enjoyed the ogling and attention of Deku.
"Hey, its that leg-head scissor thing that she used in Iron Man 2." Nejire pointed out. "Is that some signature thing that she does, or do you do it too, Uraraka?"
"Um, no, not really." Uraraka replied, snapping out of her blush. "I do have a technique from my Gun Head Martial Arts training to use my opponents momentum and advance against them and pin them to the ground."
Miruko brought her attention back to Uraraka and made up her mind to borrow her from Ryukyu for an internship or work study. She and Midoriya.
The man landed on his back, groaning in pain, Ochaco swirling over to the main leader. As he got up, Ochaco grabbed a pair of chains hanging by, and just as he rushed her, she side-stepped, knocked his head with the chains, and, as he stumbled over the ledge of the hole, Romanoff wrapped his leg with the chains and pushed him down. The man fell and stopped in a cry of pain, hanging upside down by his chained leg.
"Now that's how a girl gets it done." Kyouka smirked and high-fived Uraraka.
Ochaco grabbed the phone and the heels and made to walk out of the warehouse. "Where's Barton now?" She asked as she put the phone to her ear.
"We don't know." Yamada replied.
"But he's alive?" She asked further.
"We think so." Yamada answered, as he looked at a screen showing a video labeled 'The Abidjan Operation' showing Hitoshi and Ochaco firing against an unknown force, Ochaco firing with a hand gun and Hitoshi with a bow and arrow. The side of the screen showed Hitoshi and Ochaco's profiles, the name Black Widow under Ochaco's name and under Hitoshi's, the name Hawkeye.
"So he really does use a bow." Kamakiri said. "Wonder why an agent of a super spy group would take archery classes to use one like that in modern day war and conflicts?"
"Maybe he was recruited to S.H.I.E.L.D. because of his archery and accuracy skills but he applied it to another level." Manga replied.
"I'll brief you on everything when you get back." Yamada continued as he moved to the stairs beside him. "But first we need you to talk to the big guy."
"Yamada, you know that Stark trusts me as far as he can throw me." Ochaco replied.
"With the suit or without the suit?" Awase asked.
"Given what happened in Iron Man 2, I think without." Setsuna replied.
"SHE'S DAMN RIGHT THAT I DON'T TRUST THAT LYING, SPY BITCH!" Bakugou roared out. "I TRUST HER AS FAR AS THE PURPLE MIDGET WOULD TOSS HER!"
"Hey!" Mineta cried out.
"Oh, I've got Stark." Yamada replied, stopping. "You've get the Big Guy."
"The Big Guy?" Kinoko repeated. "Who's the Big Guy?"
"Apparently someone's who a bigger deal than even Bakugou." Setsuna said, smirking mischievously and counting down with her fingers.
"NOBODY IS BIGGER THAN ME OR MY RICH, HIGH TECH SUITED OTHER SELF!" Bakugou roared in protest, right as Setsuna counted down to the last finger.
Ochaco stopped, eyes wide in surprise and slight fear. She looked back and sighed. "Bozhe moi." She cursed in Russian.
"What she say?" Mina asked. "That part wasn't translated."
"It was Russian for 'My God'." Nezu answered.
The scene changed to the slums of India, where a little Indian girl was running through the busy streets full of people. She arrived at a house and climbed up the stairs. She reached the end where an man exclaimed to her in Hindi. A woman there saw her too. "Who are you?" She exclaimed in Hindi. "Get out! There is a sickness here!"
Behind her, a man in a purple dress shirt and brown coat and pants saw through the reflection in the mirror as he poured water on some rags. The man had curly brown hair and a five o'clock shadow.
"MULTIVERSAL COUNTERPART DETECTED!" F.R.I.D.A.Y. revealed. "DR. BRUCE BANNER! MULTIVERSAL COUNTERPART: JUROTA SHISHIDA!"
"Hey, nice Joruta." Itsuka said nodding to her large, bestial classmate. "We found a counterpart of your own."
"Yeah! Show off some more 1-B pride!" Pony cheered innocently.
"Pony, dear, I believe you have been spending too much time with Monoma." Ibara patted Pony shoulder. "He's letting his rather extreme sin of pride poison your innocent brain."
Monoma opened his mouth to speak back but was clasped shut, along with his face by Itsuka's enlarged hand.
"Actually, if I'm counting correctly, aren't there more of Class 1-B listed and shown that 1-A?" Sato pointed out.
"Hmm, perhaps." Shoji said. "So far with 1-B, we have seen Ibara, Awase, Pony as Darcy, Monoma as Loki, Tokage, and now Shishida as this Bruce Banner. So about five."
"As for our class, we have seen Bakugou, Uraraka, Midoriya, and Todoroki." Tokoyami jumped in. "Four of our classmates in contrast with 1-B's five."
Before Monoma could shove away Itsuka's hand to gloat, Asui spoke up with "Maybe we are actually tied. Doesn't that Jarvis AI system that Bakugou uses sound an awful lot like Ojiro? Perhaps he's likely Ojiro's counterpart, thus tying the numbers to five to five."
"I guess." Ojiro said, still confused on why his counterpart would be an artificial intelligence for Bakugou.
"Well however many of us are there, I'm excited to see who your counterpart is and what he does, Apocabeast!" Tetsutetsu exclaimed.
"Tetsutetsu, for the hundredth time, my Hero name is Not Apocabeast." Jurota sighed and said. "Its Gevaudan."
"You're a doctor." The girl attempted to say in English before reverting to Hindi which F.R.I.D.A.Y. translated. "My father is not waking up! He has a fever and he's moaning, but his eyes won't open."
"So you are doctor is this other life." Reiko said. "A wise and worthy profession to alleviate and draw the ill and agonized from the cold grasp of finality."
"Huh?" Mina questioned, looking utterly confused.
"She means that being a doctor is a good career because you save and help heal a lot of sick and dying people." Itsuka translated.
"Although, it still too early to say that Shishida is a medical doctor and not another kind of doctor, like engineering." Yui jumped in.
Banner walked over to them and calm the girl down saying in Hindi "Slow down."
"My father..." The girl said, looking over to the corner where coughing was heard.
Banner looked to where she looked before going down to his knees. "Like them?" Bruce pointed to the corner where a man took care of two sick, little boys coughing.
The group frowned in displeasure of the sick children, the adults and brighter students figuring that the illness came from the unsanitary conditions of whatever third-world country they were in.
The girl held up a roll of money in her hand towards Bruce. "Please." She pleaded in English, her eyes full of desperation.
Bruce and the little now were running towards a dilapidated cabin for a home. Bruce looked to his right and stopped the girl, ducking his head as a jeep with armed men passed by them, trying not to be fully seen by them.
"Interesting." Nezu hummed as he rubbed his chin.
"Why did your other self try to hide from those soldiers, Jurota?" Rin asked.
"I have no clue." Jurota replied.
"Perhaps, this Banner is on the run or wanted." Shoda said.
"Okay, I wouldn't go as far to say that our respectful, polite Jurota would ever be a criminal." Sen spoke up with an incredulous look.
Once the jeep continued, Bruce let the girl continue running towards the house, following her. As they entered, the little girl went towards a window and climbed out, leaving Bruce in the house.
Bruce scoffed lightly. "You should've got paid up front, Banner." He said to himself.
"You know, for a man who should be avoiding stress, you picked a hell of a place to settle." Bruce heard a woman's voice to his left. He turned to find Romanoff walking out of the corner, dressed in a black and green dress.
"Ochaco is there." Hagakure pointed out. "Wait, is this Banner guy the Big Guy that she was tasked to getting?"
"Probably, and what did she mean by avoiding stress?" Itsuka asked. "Could Jurota in this world have some form of medical issue involving stress."
"Perhaps." Momo answered. "Usually stress causes health problems such as strokes, heart attacks, cardiovascular and heart diseases, and high blood pressure, or mental issues such as depression, anxiety, and even personality disorders."
Bruce slowly set his bag down to the ground. "Avoiding stress isn't the secret." Banner replied.
"Well that probably threw all that knowledge out the window." Kyouka said, Momo hanging her head down in embarrassment.
"Then what is it? Yoga?" Ochaco asked.
Bruce smirked nervously, rubbing his hands together anxiously while looking around. "You brought me to the edge of the city. Smart." Bruce admitted, looking out the window the girl climbed out of. "I uh assume the whole place is surrounded."
"Wait, why would it be smart to bring him to the edge of the city?" Kaminari asked. "Is he like a bomb or something?"
"You could say that." F.R.I.D.A.Y. answered. "Or, really, worse."
The group frowned in suspicion and concern about what form of power, ability, or condition Jurota's counterpart could have to make him so dangerous. Izuku frowned and raised his notebook, writing down information on Banner and any kind of hint as to who or what he is.
"Just you and me." Ochaco revealed.
"And your actress buddy?" Bruce gestured out the window. "Is she a spy, too? They start that young?"
"I did." Ochaco replied.
"Wait, Uraraka was trained as a spy since she was a kid?" Hagakure asked. "That must have been some childhood."
"Who are you?" Banner asked.
"Ochaco Romanoff." She greeted herself.
Bruce sighed, a look of anxiousness and fear in his face. "Are you here to kill me Ms. Romanoff?" He asked. "Because that's not going to work out for everyone."
"He makes it sound like he can't be kill." Sero said. "Or worse, that trying to kill him would make him explode or something."
"No, of course not." Ochaco answered, carefully walking closer to the doctor. "I'm here on behalf of S.H.I.E.L.D."
"S.H.I.E.L.D." Bruce repeated the word with an air of grim familiarity. "How did they find me?"
"We never lost you, Doctor." Romanoff revealed. "We've kept our distance. Even helped keep other interested parties off your scent."
"So Jurota is in on the run and in hiding." Shoda said.
"Well not well enough to escape from S.H.I.E.L.D." Sen said. "But I guess they respect the dude's privacy. Until now that is."
"Why?" Jurota's counterpart asked.
"Shouta Aizawa seems to trust you." Ochaco said. "But now we need you to come in."
"What if I say no?" Bruce asked.
"I'll persuade you." She replied.
Bruce nodded, eyes cast down to the floor and his hands, licked his dry lips. "And what if the Other Guy says no?" Banner asked further, looking back up to Ochaco.
"You've been more than a year without an incident." Ochaco replied, walking over to a table to her left. "I don't think you want to break that streak."
"Other Guy?" Nejire repeated confused, her head falling to her side.
"Other Guy." Izuku repeated, writing the info down. "And his counterpart is Shishida. Maybe when Banner is referring to this Other Guy, he could be referring to perhaps his Quirk-er power in this world."
"What do you think it could be, Deku?" Uraraka asked.
"I'm not sure. I don't have enough details." Izuku said. "But perhaps it has something to relate to Shishida's Quirk."
"What do you mean?" Melissa questioned.
"So far, many of the abilities or powers shown from most of the counterparts relate in someway to our own Quirks and skills." Izuku began to explain. "For me, Rogers's enhanced strength and speed could be similar to my Quirk, which gives me the same abilities. Both Kacchan and Stark can fly using a form of propulsion that they can also fire as a projectile from their hands, Uraraka and Romanoff share similar grappling martial arts, All Might and Thor have super strength and can create hurricanes, and even Todoroki and Barnes have similar skill with accuracy and long-ranged precision, with Barnes its with a sniper rifle but with Todoroki its mostly with the precision of his ice attacks. There are some I can't explain like Loki and Monoma or Shinsou and Barton, but it seems a safe bet that some of these counterparts share traits based on our powers in one way or another."
"Wonderful analysis, Midoriya. I too came to a similar conclusion." Nezu spoke up with a clap of his paws. "There are other factors towards these similarities between counterparts, but power comparison is an important one. So tell us, Mr. Midoriya, what do you believe Mr. Shishida's counterpart's power could be?"
Izuku hummed in thought. "Again, I don't have enough information on the specifics, but it could be similar to Shishida's Beast Quirk." Izuku continued. "From my analysis, Shishida can transform back and forth between a normal state and a larger, more powerful beast form that gives him super strength, speed, durability, as well as enhancing his senses of hearing and smell. However, the drawbacks of this Beast form is that he can become more reckless and wild. Right?"
Izuku looked to a surprised Jurota, the Beast Quirk user stunned to see that the green-haired teen had analyzed his Quirk to such a precise degree without him telling him. "U-Uh indeed." He nodded.
"Well, I think that Banner has a similar ability of transformation with a similar drawback of some sort." Izuku continued again. "Banner gestured and spoke about this Other Guy as if this individual wasn't another person, but rather him, or another version of him by his power. You could tell because he looked at his hands, that he was rubbing, nervously, and because Uraraka led Banner away from the city as if this power, or Other Guy, would be a danger to the city and civilians if brought out. And remember when Uraraka said about Banner should be avoiding stress, and when Momo helpfully listed all those issues caused or heightened by stress? One of the mental issues from high stress was personality disorder, a disorder that causes a person to think, act, and feel like another person all together, like perhaps a version of yourself, caused by a hypothetical Transformation ability, a Other Guy that is violent and destructive enough to cause harm to a city and more dangerous than a bomb. This power being some dangerous other form of himself would fit with Shishida's Quirk in both its Transformation aspects and reckless, wild drawbacks, and perhaps this power is something he can't control in this world, so it would explain his nervousness and why he is in hiding. It could be something like Tokoyami's Dark Shadow or a Dr. Jackal and Mr. Hyde situation."
Izuku looked up to see the flabbergasted looks of his classmates and the adults, with Nezu smiling at him. The Green Bean quickly became nervous. "I-I mean, its just a possibility of what Banner's power could be!" Izuku quickly added. "For all we know, it could be something different. I mean Shinsou isn't a master archer and Monoma doesn't have the ability to clone himself."
"No no, it is alright, Mr. Midoriya." Nezu replied. "There is no need to excuse yourself for explaining your theory, and a rational, logical one at that. Right, Aizawa?"
Aizawa nodded. "Given the past comparisons, its a likely possibility and the explanation does appear sound." Aizawa said. "The only way to verify that would just be to continue."
As the group nodded, Shishida looked back towards his counterpart, fully invested into figuring out if Midoriya's hypothesis was sound.
"Well, I don't always get what I want." Bruce retorted, fiddling with a hanging basket in the room.
"Doctor, we're facing a potential global catastrophe." Ochaco revealed, pulling out a phone.
Bruce chuckled. "Well, those I actively try to avoid." He replied.
"This is the Tesseract." Ochaco showed the phone to Bruce before placing it on the table, sliding it over to the other end of the table, where Bruce went to and put his glasses on to inspect it. "It has the potential energy to wipe out the planet."
After Bruce look at the image of the Cube, he asked "What does Aizawa want me to do, swallow it?"
"He can do that?" Nejire questioned, looking to Jurota. "You could do that?"
"Um not me per say, Miss Hado." Jurota said. "But perhaps my counterpart could. If Midoriya's hypothesis was true, then perhaps this Other Guy could perhaps be strong enough to do so."
"He wants you to find it." Ochaco answered. "Its been taken. It emits a gamma signature that's too weak for us to trace. There's no one that knows gamma radiation like you do. If there was, that's where I'd be."
"So Jurota is an expert of gamma radiation." Itsuka said. "Could this perhaps have something to do with his 'Other Guy'? Like perhaps this Other Guy came about through being exposed to gamma radiation?"
"High exposure to gamma radiation comes with great dangers to the human body." David said. "High enough exposure could cause cellular decay, cancer, and...produce gene mutations." David perked his eyes. "Perhaps, with enough gamma radiation, Dr. Banner could have mutated and developed a mutation or superpower, but the odds of that are astronomical."
"Well let's keep a tab on that idea." Tsukauchi said. "But its clear the reason Romanoff is after Banner is to track where the Cube is through its gamma radiation, which we know it has based on the beginning of this video.
"Oh right!" Mei perked up. "And Explodey's pops said that the Tesseract emitted gamma radiation back when they were testing that thing Muscles brought with him back in WWII!"
Bakugou's eye twitched at the nickname 'Explodey'.
Bruce removed his glasses. "So, Aizawa isn't after the monster?" He asked.
"Monster?" Itsuka questioned. "Huh, looks like your theory sounds more and more valid, Midoriya."
Shishida flinched at the word Monster. He recalled back to when he was younger, when his Quirk was coming in, and all the names, taunts, and insults thrown at him. Sasquatch. Caveman. Mr. Smelly Hair. With every name and taunt, his younger self grew more angry, his anger repressed as he held it down, but slowly bubbling to the surface. Then the names turned to shoves, and then to punches and kicks, and soon the anger, helped by his Quirk, was let out and he lashed out. In his rage he could only remember seeing the red of his vision and the cries of pain from his former bullies.
Afterwards, people looked at him differently. After he brutally fought back against the bullies, the names tossed at him were not out of humor and jeers, but fear and warning. The looks were not of ridicule or taunting, but terror and disgust. And a new name was whispered in his presence, one he would always pick up from his super hearing: Monster.
Shishida was filled with regret and remorse. He didn't want to be a Monster, he always wanted to be just like his Heroes, like All Might and Hound Dog, the latter with a similar Quirk and anger issues, Heroes that brought peace and safety, not bring fear and pain like the Monster he was. Since then, Shishida has worked to be polite, calm, and respectful, to control the ferocious beast that was his Quirk and anger, and use it to be a Hero.
'Now, could it be that this Quirk of mine follows me into another life?' Shishida thought, looking down at his furry hands. 'Is it like curse, made to haunt me from one life to another?'
"Not that he's told me." She responded.
"And he tells you everything?" He asked further.
"Talk to Aizawa." Ochaco pressed further. "He needs you on this."
"He needs me in a cage?" He said, assured paranoia in his voice.
"Shishida is plagued by the cold, ever-present grips of paranoia and terror." Reiko sagely said.
"I understood that." Mina said. "I think."
"No one's gonna put you in a cag-"
"STOP LYING TO ME!" Bruce suddenly yelled, slamming his hands on the table.
Ochaco quickly pulled a gun out from under the table and aimed it at Bruce.
"Woah!" Kaminari exclaimed, throwing his hands up as if the gun was pointed at him.
The room was still in silence at the tension, with Uraraka fearful, and hoping against, that her counterpart was going to really shoot one of her fellow classmates, while Jurota feared more that his counterpart was going to release the Other Guy in retaliation.
Instead of freaking out, Bruce smirked calmly and stepped back. "I'm sorry. That was mean." Banner apologized. "I just wanted to see what you'd do." Bruce raised his hands in peace as Ochaco still aimed the gun at him. "Now, why don't we do this the easy way where you don't use that and the Other Guy doesn't make a mess." At the mention of this Other Guy, Bruce gestured to his chest.
"Does that mean that even if he was shot, then he would survive?" Melissa asked.
"It could be that his transformation has a healing based power that could save his life if he were ever fatally wounded." Izuku said.
"Okay? Ochaco?" Bruce asked.
Ochaco was silent for a moment before lowering the gun. She raised her other hand up to her ear and said "Stand down. We're good here."
Outside, it was revealed that the house was surrounded by dozens of S.H.I.E.L.D. agents wielding and raising their guns at the house, Ochaco's words making them lower them.
"Jesus, they have the whole place surrounded!" Mineta exclaimed.
"So much for just you and him, huh?" Bakugou taunted, Uraraka grumbling.
Bruce smirked. "Just you and me." He repeated Ochaco's lie.
Bakugou continued smirking pettily at Uraraka who just replied with a glare.
Ochaco simply stared at him with a glimmer of embarrassment and prideful justification before placing her emotionless mask back up.
"This is out of line, Director." An old man spoke, the scene changing to Aizawa standing in the middle of a room, four large panels in front of him, three middle aged men occupying the three and the last a middle aged woman. "You're dealing with forces you can't control."
"You ever been in a war, Councilman?" Aizawa asked, revealing who the four were. "In a firefight? Did you feel an overabundance of control?"
"So those must be the board of Directors of S.H.I.E.L.D." David said.
Hawks narrowed his eyes in seriousness. As he glimpsed the two members of the council in the middle, he recognized the lady for who her counterpart surely was: The current President of the Heroic Public Safety Commission. Upon closer inspection he also saw the other two as other high ranking members of the Safety Commission, especially the front Councilman as the former President, the one who was killed by his own predecessor, Lady Nagant.
Nezu likewise noticed this similarity, given his many meeting with Commission over the status and security of U.A., especially nowadays.
"You're saying that this Asgard has declared War on our planet?" The Councilman asked.
"Not Asgard. Loki." Aizawa corrected.
"Phew, I was worried that since Loki is of Asgard, that they, All Might as well, would have been blamed." Mina sighed.
Monoma flinched, almost forgetting what his counterpart tried to to do and how his people would have looked with his actions.
"He can't be working alone." The Councilwoman spoke up. "What about the other one? His brother?"
"Spoke too soon, huh?" Asui said. Mina chuckled nervously and scratched her cheeks.
"Our intelligence says Thor is not a hostile, but he's worlds away." Aizawa replied. "We can't depend on him to help, either. Its up to us."
"Oh yeah, almost forgot that the Bifrost thing that other me was watching was destroyed." Hawks said.
Now it was All Might's turn to flinch, frustrated that he couldn't come to help and bring his other life's brother, or return to see Inko, all because he destroyed the Bifrost.
"Which is why you should be focusing on Phase 2." The first Councilman said. "It was designed for exactly this-"
"Phase Two isn't ready. Our enemy is." Aizawa interrupted him. "We need a response team."
"What is even this Phase 2?" Thirteen questioned. "Could it have something to do with the Tesseract?"
"Perhaps." Power Loader said. "It can't be just a coincidence that the same place where the Tesseract was, was a bunch of equipment and prototypes involving Phase 2."
"The Avengers Initiative was shut down." The Councilman said.
"Shut down?" Momo said. "But why?"
"Maybe after Bakugou failed to qualify, they decided to shut the thing down." Kyouka shrugged.
"Don't Pin The Blame On Me, Weird Ears!" Bakugou roared. "Not my fault that these idiot bosses decided that I wasn't good enough!"
"This isn't about the Avengers." Aizawa replied.
"We've seen the list." The Councilman, on the rightmost panel to Aizawa, said.
"You're running the world's greatest covert security network and you're going to leave the fate of the human race to a handful of freaks." The first Councilman jumped in.
Izuku frowned, not liking the name 'freak' being thrown towards, who Izuku was sure was said towards, Kacchan, Uraraka, Shishida, and himself.
"I'm not leaving anything to anyone. We need a response team." Aizawa pressed further. "These people may be isolated, unbalanced even, but I believe with the right push, they can be exactly what we need."
"You believe?" The Councilwoman questioned.
"Even in the darkest of times and grimmest of outcomes, Hope and Faith are what shine the brightest path to victory!" All Might declared in his buff state.
"War isn't won by sentiment, Director." The Councilman said.
"No," Aizawa agreed. "Its won by Soldiers."
The scene changed, with more dramatic music, to a gym filled with the sounds of pants, grunts, and fists colliding against a punching bag. The scene shifted to the back of the tall figure striking viciously at the punching bag, with his large muscular figure and familiar green hair.
"Hey its Midobro!" Kirishima exclaimed.
The girls slightly drooled at the sight of Izuku's muscular back and his muscular arms pounding at the punching bag.
As Izuku Rogers pounded on the bag, the sound of his thunderous punches morphed to explosions, gunfire ringing in his mind. With every so often punch, his mind flashed with memories, such as running through explosions with his shield raised and fellow soldiers behind him, blocking Hydra weapons, and more.
Aizawa and the teachers frowned, all agreeing on what Rogers was suffering. The students likewise frowned, looks of concern, pity, and sadness spread among them.
'There's not enough time. I got to put her in the water!' Izuku gritted his teeth in anger, his mind flashing back to him on the Valkyrie, flying it towards the ice.
Setsuna turned away from the screen, unable to face seeing the same scene that caused her so much pain and heartache, already wiping away resurfacing tears. The girls did the same, trying to block out the noise of the plane and Izuku's words.
As the memory continued, his snarled frown grew and his punches grew harder and more forceful. 'You won't be alone.' Setsuna's voice and her picture flashed in his mind as he headed towards the ice.
The wave of guilt and sadness that Izuku felt flooding his mind hit as hard as one of Rogers's punches.
'Oh my God.' Izuku punched harder as he recalled the subconscious memory of his de-thawing. 'This guy is still alive!'
Having enough, Izuku struck a final, powerful punch, sending the punching bag flying off its chain, a hole punctured in its side, sand spilling out.
The guys looked at the counterpart of their classmate in worry. Bakugou flinched, wondering if their own Midoriya was suffering through the same thing, but instead it was 11 years of bullying and torment, spearheaded by himself. Bakugou remembered leaving the gym at U.A. one day and spotted, as he left, Midoriya, determined and a brief glimpse of rage in his eyes, likewise punch a hole in a punching bag. Bakugou looked at the hole that Rogers made to his and wondered if perhaps, when Midoriya destroyed his punching bag, was their a small chance, no matter how small in that large, good heart of his, that a part of Deku imagined Bakugou as that bag, beating it down till it broke, like he tried to break him?
"Deku." Uraraka said worryingly.
The hearts of the girls ached at the pain that this Izuku was facing. Guilt soon followed suit as they recalled their anger towards their Midoriya for not telling them he was okay, especially Setsuna, already regretting loosing her cool and slapping Midoriya. Even though she still believed he deserved a bit of their ire, the fellow greenette couldn't deny that she may have took it a step too far.
"He's clearly taking the past and his reawakening badly." Tokoyami said, frowning concerned.
"Its PTSD." Snipe said. "I've seen it before in some fellow pros and army vets. The experience and trauma of war, the memories of explosions all around you, the people you lost, things like that can seriously mess someone up bad."
"Indeed." All Might said, remembering times where he woke up in a cold sweat over his first battle against All For One, losing his Master, and more. He looked over at his successor, looking at the screen with steel-like features, trying not o let any emotion show, but the former Symbol of Peace knew Midoriya enough to know that he was feeling weighed by similar guilt as his counterpart.
Izuku panted, his body coated in fine sweat, his green hair curled wet as he looked tried to calm down.
Izuku looked down to see Eri and Kouta hugging him tight, strained, but determined smiles on their faces. He felt hands on his right and left shoulder and looked to see Momo rubbing his shoulder in a comforting manner while Todoroki and Mirio smiling comfortingly at him from his left, with Nejire and Amajiki smiling at him as well. At seeing Todoroki, the memory of his counterpart falling to his death flashed in his mind. Todoroki noticed and squeezed harder, snapping Midoriya away from the memory before he could wallow in it any further. He likewise noticed Kirishima and the rest of the guys looking at him with kind smiles as well. Bakugou looked at Deku silently and expressionless but nodded in understanding and his own way of comfort. Tears started to form and threatened to fall from the Class 1-A's cinnamon roll's eyes. He then felt a hand over his right hand, looking to see it originating from Melissa smiling worryingly and comfortingly at him. He noticed and looked past her to see the comforting smiles of Uraraka, Asui, Iida, Mina, Hagakure, Kyouka, Mei, and Shinsou. Finally, Izuku felt a hand grasp his left hand. The soft feel of it and the way it rubbed his pinkie made it positive it was from Setsuna, looking at him with a smile, a worried and loving one.
Izuku couldn't stop the tears from flowing and smiled gratefully at his friends. "T-Thanks, everybody." Izuku choked up.
Izuku wiped his brow and hair, walking to a pile of punching bags and grabbing another. He lifted the bag with one arm and hanged it up, breathing out prepared for another go. As he began punching the bag, the screen shifted to show Aizawa looking on at Izuku.
"Trouble sleeping?" Aizawa called out.
Izuku briefly looked over to look at Aizawa before resuming his punches. "I slept for 70 years, sir." Izuku replied. "I think I've had my fill."
"That was such a good quip." Kaminari chuckled. "I almost chuckled, but not right now. Too soon."
"Look at that guys, he's learning." Sero joked.
"Shut up." Kaminari grumbled, but smirked as he saw heard the chuckles from the group, including a more cheered up Midoriya.
"Then you should be out, celebrating, seeing the world." Aizawa said, walking towards the super soldier.
Izuku stopped and panted. He left the bag and went over towards his bag laid on a nearby bench. "When I went under, the world was at war." Izuku said, unwrapping the bands around his hands. "I wake up, they say we won. They didn't say what we lost."
"Does he mean lose as in lose good people during the war?" Tetsutetsu asked.
"Maybe he's talking about losing their morals." Shoda replied. "He was put on ice before Hiroshima and Nagasaki."
The mention of the infamous nuclear strike caused many to flinch, most especially Melissa, Pony, and David, them being the Americans of the group.
"We've made some mistakes along the way." Aizawa admitted, pulling out a folder from behind his back. "Some, very recently."
Rogers stared at Aizawa and the folder before resuming his unwrapping of his bands. "Are you here with a mission, sir?" He asked.
"I am." Aizawa said.
"Trying to get me back in the world?" Izuku asked further.
"Trying to save it." Aizawa retorted, handing the folder out to Izuku.
"Hey, I just realized its the end credit scene from Captain America!" Sen pointed out. "Only with more context."
"I'd say it was less of an end credit scene and more of a sneak peak." Awase said.
Izuku looked at the open folder and grabbed it, looking at the picture of the Tesseract. "Hydra's secret weapon." Rogers breathed out.
"Masaru Stark fished that out of the ocean when he was looking for you." Aizawa revealed, Izuku looked at Aizawa. "He thought what we think. The Tesseract could be the key to unlimited sustainable energy. That's something the world sorely needs."
"Yeah." Death Arms said. "If that thing can power thousands of super-powered Hydra weapons and create portals through space, then I'd say it could easily power pretty much anything."
"Including a way to unleash an extraterrestrial army to conquer the Earth." Kamui grumbled.
Izuku closed the folder and handed back to Aizawa. "Who took it from you?" He asked.
"He's called Loki." Aizawa answered. "He's not from around here."
"I'll say." Hawks snorted.
"There's a lot we'll have to bring you up to speed on, if you're in." Aizawa said. "The world has gotten even stranger than you already know."
"At this point, I doubt anything would surprise me." Izuku said, getting up from the bench and grabbed his bag.
"Ten bucks says you're wrong." Aizawa retorted.
"Sound like the easiest ten bucks ever." Pixie Bob smirked.
Izuku grabbed one of the punching bags and lifting it over his shoulder to carry. "There's debriefing packet waiting for you back at your apartment." Aizawa continued. "Is there anything about the Tesseract that we ought to know now?"
"You should have left it in the ocean." Izuku replied plainly.
"Despite being a man of science, I sadly have to agree with Midoriya." David said.
"Same here." Power Loader nodded.
The scene changed once more to the darkness of underwater, the scene moving towards Katsuki Stark, in his Iron Man suit, lasering and cutting open a pipeline transport, lights illuminating his vision from his shoulders.
"Hey, its Bakubro!" Kirishima exclaimed.
"Finally!" Bakugou smirked. "I was getting bored and pissed with all this grief and mystery crap! Now it gets interesting!"
As the pipeline opened, Katsuki brought out a device and placed it on the pipe, it wrapping around and extending on the pipe and activating with a blue glow of an arc reactor. Once done, the lights receded into his shoulder and Katsuki flew upwards to the surface. A cruise ship sailed beside where Iron Man shot out of the water, into the sky, and towards the buildings of New York City.
"Good to go on this end." Katsuki said, flying by buildings. "The rest is up to you."
"You disconnected the transmission lines." Ibara's voice spoke through his intercom. "Are we off the grid?"
"So that's what he was doing?" Kaminari asked. "Looked like he was putting some arc reactor onto the pipe."
"Actually, I think he was putting an arc reactor into the pipes." Melissa said. "It had the blue glow of an arc reactor."
"Also, Ibara's back! Yay!" Pony cheered.
"And officially an item with her knight in shining armor." Setsuna teased.
Ibara and Bakugou both blushed madly, remembering their make out session in Iron Man 2.
In Katsuki's hub, Ibara's face was by the side of his hub. "Stark Tower is about to become a beacon of self-sustaining clean energy." Katsuki said as the imaging of a tower and an arc reactor below it appeared on his hub's other side.
"I'm sorry, Stark Tower?" Kyouka questioned. "He has his own tower?!"
"Well he has an everything I can think of, why not a tower?" Mina said.
"And a self-sustaining tower powered by an underground arc reactor." Mei said, eyes zooming on the imaging of the tower and arc reactor.
"Well, assuming the arc reactor takes over and it actually works." Ibara voiced her thoughts as Katsuki continued flying and turning a corner.
"I assume." Stark replied. "Light her up."
Katsuki flew towards a tall building on his path where the lights of the building began to turn on, the Stark logo by the top of the oddly shaped tower lit up in blue light.
"That's so cool!" Kaminari chuckled in excitement.
"Interesting design." Power Loader said, looking over the tower's structure. "Flashy, yet sturdy. It looks like a mix of an office building on the lower area and a party longue at the top."
"How does it look?" Ibara whispered.
"Like Christmas, but with more me." Katsuki bragged.
"Hell Yeah It Does!" Bakugou boasted.
"I swear we are not going to hear the end of this from him." Kyouka groaned.
"We've got to go wider on the public awareness campaign. You need to do some press." Ibara said, as Katsuki arrived and flew up the tower. "I'm in DC tomorrow. I'm working on the zoning for the next three buildings."
"Ibara, you're killing me." Katsuki cut her off as he slowed down and hovered above a platform on the near top of the building. "The moment, remember? Enjoy the moment."
"Well, get in her and I will." Ibara voiced sultrily.
"Oooh, Ibara!" Setsuna cooed, a shit-eating grin on her face. "Talk dirty to me."
The students burst in laughter. Uraraka and the Bakusquad were practically holding their sides as they laughed. Eri and Kouta childishly gagged, hands over their faces. Ibara looked one shade of red away from going into a nuclear meltdown, while Bakugou looked almost as red, while suspiciously readjusting himself in his seat and shifting his pants to hide his...'excitement' from movie Ibara's words.
Stark landed on the platform in a metallic thud, the platform coming alive and machines appeared out the sides as Katsuki walked towards the entrance of the suite inside. "Sir, Agent Yamada of S.H.I.E.L.D. is on the line." Jarvis spoke.
"I'm not in." Katsuki said, the machines removing the Iron Man helmet. "I'm actually out."
"Literally." Mirio said chuckling.
As he walked closer towards the inside, the machines worked on removing the Iron Man suit one by one, revealing more of his clothes underneath the suit and the glow of his new arc reactor.
"Intriguing." David said. "A whole system of machines to remove his suit, even while he's walking."
"Guess he learned from since back in Iron Man 1when he was having trouble taking it off." Power Loader said.
"Sir, I'm afraid he's insisting." Jarvis spoke again.
"Grow a spine, Jarvis." Katsuki replied. "I got a date." As he reached the end of the walkway and towards the inside of the suite, the machines removed the Iron Man boots.
"Well, he admitted it, Bakubro, oh pal." Kirishima grinned, arm around Bakugou's shoulders. "Looks like both of you have a hot date with a certain someone, eh?"
"If you value your life, Shitty Hair, Get Your Arm Off Of ME!" Bakugou growled dangerously.
"Levels are holding steady, I think." Ibara said, wearing a white, loosely buttoned dress shirt and jean shorts, looking at the holographic imaging of the tower and the arc reactor below.
Mineta held in everything he had not to ogle Ibara's shapely legs and ass, sweating up a waterfall as he felt the glowing red eyes of warning from Lord Explosion Murder.
"Of course they are. I was directly involved in it." Katsuki said as he walked towards Ibara's smiling form. "Which brings me to my next question. How does it feel to be a genius?"
"Well, ha I really wouldn't know, now would I?" Ibara sarcastically said, as Katsuki reached her, turned off the hologram and and stood in front of her as she leaned on the counter.
Mina, Setsuna, and the rest of the girls started squealing excitingly at the closeness between the two, their squeals so loud that the guys, and the noise-sensitive Kyouka, had to cover their ears. Ibara started hiding herself in her vines, while Bakugou looked close to burying his face into the ground like an ostrich.
"What do you mean?" Katsuki questioned. "All this, came from you."
"No, all this came from that." Ibara replied, tapping on Katsuki's chest piece.
"Give yourself some credit. Please." Katsuki smirked and placed his hands on her shoulders. "Stark Tower is your baby. Give yourself 12% of the credit."
"12%?" Ibara questioned, raising her eyebrow.
Sero hissed, cringing. "Wrong choice of words." Sero hissed.
"An argument can be made for 15." Stark quickly said.
"12%? For my baby?" Ibara questioned further with an exasperated chuckle as she walked towards the couch at the center of the room.
"Baby?" Setsuna and Mina said at the same time, a feral grin in their hungry eyes as they started imaging what a baby from Bakugou and Ibara would look like.
One could hear the muffled yelling from inside Ibara's vine-covered form while Bakugou started choking and coughing up the popcorn that he unwisely tossed into his mouth.
"Well, I did do all the heavy lifting." Katsuki defended himself, following her. "Literally, I lifted the heavy things. And sorry, but the security snafu? That was on you."
"Oh." Ibara said, grabbing a bottle of champagne and some wine glasses for the two.
"My private elevator-"
"You mean Our private elevator?" Ibara interrupted him as she poured the champagne.
"What is this, Russia?" Kaminari joked. "Our income. Our property. Our rights and liberties."
"Unfortunately, that's how girls be." Sero patted his friend's shoulder. "What's mine is ours, is what they would say, and what's theirs is still theirs."
"I'm sorry, is there a problem here?" Sero and Kaminari shivered in fear as a smiling Nejire hovered behind them, a dark aura spreading from her and the other girls as they glared at the two.
As Kaminari and Sero fought for their lives, Izuku felt a cold shiver running down his spine, deciding, upon a whim of instinct and self-preservation, to write down and learn from Sero and Kaminari's mistake of saying that out loud.
"-It was teeming with sweaty workmen." Katsuki continued as he sat down on the couch and sighed. "I'm going to pay for that comment about percentages in some subtle way later, aren't I?"
"Not going to be that subtle." Ibara replied with a smirk, giving Katsuki his glass.
"This is the best!" Uraraka chuckled as she happily at her popcorn.
"Now this is peak entertainment." Mina agreed.
"Since when did a superhero movie suddenly turned into some kind of romcom?" Hawks questioned.
"I don't know but I hope it ends soon." Miruko groaned as she gagged. "This romcom shit is making me want to puke!"
"I'll tell you what." Katsuki said. "The next building is gonna say 'Shiozaki' on the tower."
"On the lease." Shiozaki corrected, who made to tap their glasses.
Katsuki hissed and pulled back. "Call your mom. Can you bunk over?" Katsuki joked, much to Ibara's laughter.
"He never shuts up in any world, does he?" Todoroki asked.
"SCREW YOU, ICY HOT!" Bakugou roared.
"Sir, the telephone," Jarvis interrupted them. "I'm afraid my protocols are being overridden."
"Mr. Stark we need to talk." Yamada's voice played out on Katsuki's phone.
"Well if there is one thing that you and your counterpart share, Yamada, you both don't take no for an answer." Aizawa said.
"And never will!" Mic replied. "So, when are you going to finally tie the knot with Joke, eh?"
All Might had to buff up momentarily to stop Aizawa from straggling Present Mic.
Katsuki grabbed his phone and brought it to his face. "You have reached the life model decoy of Katsuki Stark." Katsuki spoke in a monotone voice, Ibara chuckling in the background. "Please leave a message."
"AHAHA! Oh I'm so using that!" Sen laughed out.
"This is urgent." Yamada insisted.
"Then leave it urgently." Katsuki replied.
As he said that, the elevator opened up revealing Agent Yamada on the phone.
"Security breach." Katsuki said, continuing the joke. "Its on you."
"Mirio, maybe you should take notes here about how to do good puns." Nejire said, patting the fellow member of the Big 3.
"Oh, don't worry, Nejire, I don't need lessons." Mirio waved her off. "I'm already have some really PUNny puns!"
Kouta responded to that pun the only way he could do: firing a blast of water at Mirio's goofy face.
"Mr. Stark." Yamada said.
"Hizashi! Come in." Ibara greeted, rising from her seat and walking towards him.
"Hizashi?" Katsuki repeated confused.
"I can't stay." Hizashi said, coming out of the elevator towards them.
"Um, his first name is 'Agent'." Katsuki joked, following Ibarra.
"Think we should make a drinking game where for every time he makes a pun we take a sip?" Death Arms proposed.
"Um no, I would like Not to die from liver poisoning." Mount Lady replied.
"I concur." Kamui said.
"Ditto." Hawks added.
"Come on in." Ibara said. "We're celebrating."
"Which is why he can't stay." Katsuki jumped in, as the two reached Hizashi.
"We need you to look this over as soon as possible." Yamada handed a laptop towards him.
"I don't like being handed things." Katsuki protested.
"Oh here we go again." Pixie Bob rolled her eyes.
"That's fine, because I love to be handed things. So let's trade." Ibara said, as she traded her glass to Yamada for the laptop and handed the laptop to Katsuki while taking his glass. "Thank you." She said as he drank from it.
Setsuna clapped slowly, her face filled with joyful pride. "Nice job, Shio." Setsuna said. "Nice job."
While Ibara continued blushing like a mad woman, she made a mental note to remember to do that whenever Bakugou is getting difficult.
Katsuki froze for a moment in defeat, before quipping back with "Official consulting hours are between 8 and 5, every other Thursday."
"This isn't a consultation." Yamada replied.
"Is this about the Avengers?" Ibara asked, Yamada looking to Ibara. "Which I know nothing about." She quickly added.
"Way to keep a secret there." Todoroki replied sarcastically.
"Fuck Off, Icy Hot!" Bakugou cursed again. "I know better than to keep a secret from Ibara! Look What Happened Last Time!"
"Oh, so its Ibara now, hmm Bakugou?" Mina questioned, eyebrow raised and a smirk plastered on her pink face.
Bakugou stuttered and sputtered, which only resulted in further laughter and blushes of embarrassment from the Ibara.
"The Avengers Initiative was scrapped, I thought." Katsuki opening the laptop device while walking over to the counter prior. "And I didn't even qualify."
"I didn't know that either." Ibara said.
"Yeah, apparently I'm volatile, self-obsessed, don't play well with others." Katsuki added.
"That I did know." Ibara admitted.
"Accurate." Uraraka nodded.
"Pretty much." Kirishima nodded too.
"Very volatile." Melissa join the nodding.
"Self-obsessed in an understatement." Todoroki joined in.
"Loud too." Mei added.
"I'LL DESTROY EVERYONE OF YOU!" Bakugou roared in embarrassment and anger. "Deku!" He turned towards his rival. "Do your Defend the crap out of me thing even though its annoying and clingy!"
"Hey Eri, when we're done here, would you like strawberry ice cream or chocolate ice cream?" Deku asked the white-haired girl on his lap.
"Ooh! Can I please have the strawbelly one! Please?!" Eri asked.
"Sure! Strawbelly ice cream it is." Deku smiled.
"DON'T IGNORE ME!" Bakugou roared again.
"This isn't about personality profiles anymore." Yamada replied.
"Whatever." Katsuki grumbled. "Ms. Shiozaki, got a second?"
"Half a mo." Shiozaki whispered as he walked to Katsuki.
Bakugou blushed and tried to look away as he eyes were glued to Ibara's swaying ass. Kirishima and Tetsutetsu were holding back from bursting out laughing as they saw Bakugou's dumbfounded face. Setsuna wiggled her eyebrows at Ibara who, once again, hid in her vines muttering "Shameful! Shameful!"
While Katsuki pressed on the tablet, he said "You know, I thought we were having a moment."
"I was having 12% of a moment." Ibara quipped back.
"Burn!" Mina laughed out.
"SHUT IT, PINKIE!" Bakugou growled out.
"Yep, that's my Hero name, don't wear it out!" Mina joked and posed, causing the guys having to keep the exploding teen from attacking the smug, pink-skinned girl.
Katsuki gave her an exasperated look. "This seems serious." Ibara said seriously. "Hizashi's pretty shaken."
"How would you know if its...Why is he 'Hizashi'?" Katsuki questioned.
"Jealous much?" Sero asked smirking.
"Not. One. More. Word!" Bakugou growled, frustrated at the piling off jokes at his expense.
"What is all this?" Ibara asked.
"This is..." Katsuki looked back to the tablet and zoomed the data out and it spread in front of them in holographic form. "This."
Appearing in front of the two, were three holographic panels. The one in the middle showed Izuku Rogers's picture along with information on him like his shield, footage of his actions in WWII and his de-thawing. The second on the right of them showed a picture of Thor, Mjolnir, and the Destroyer's attack of Puente Antiguo. And the final one on the left showed a picture of Doctor Banner, information on him, and video footage of tanks and soldiers being attacked and easily destroyed by a fast moving, large green creature moving too fast or the destruction too obscure for the two to see clearly, all the while the sounds of loud, monstrous roars played out. Katsuki and Ibara looked over at the information displayed to them in stunning shock.
"Yep, their shocked." Awase said.
"Its one thing to fly around in a super-powered suit of armor, its another thing to find out about godly aliens, a super-soldier from the past is alive today, and whatever the hell that green thing is." Sen said.
"Its Shishida." Izuku said, pointing towards the data on the left. "I mean, his counterpart, Dr. Banner. His picture is there."
"So then that green thing that's rampaging around is-"
"The Other Guy." Shishida finished Itsuka's sentence. The 1-B student looked at the blur of green that was his transformation, listened to the sounds of destruction and war, the cries and screams of the soldiers, the bestial roars that came of the 'Monster' that Dr. Banner called it. Jurota felt two things from the footage. The first that roars started to sound like his Beast Mode roars, and the feeling that Dr. banner was perhaps accurate with the term Monster.
"So that's the Other Guy." Hawks said, his eyes carefully analyzing and tracking the large green goliath. While it was hard for many of the group to see it as anything other than a green blur, when it wasn't being obscured by debris and flying tanks and jeeps, Hawks proved he had good eyes himself as he made out the green monstrosity that was the 'Other Guy'. Hawks turned to Endeavor, who also studied the transformation of Dr. Banner just as well as him. "Just asking for a confirmation by a second opinion, but what do you see?"
"It appears that Uraraka's counterpart was wise to have her chat with Banner at the edge of the city they were in." Endeavor replied. "Its skin appears thick enough to resist gunfire from automatic weapons and artillery shells and whatever injury it seems to sustain fade away quickly due to an incredible regeneration ability, and its strength and speed, they appear comparable to All Might's."
"Oh good, so I wasn't going crazy." Hawks sighed in relief.
"That's still debatable." Edgeshot retorted.
"Ouch." Hawks chuckled.
"It appears that Midoriya's analysis was correct." Nezu said. "Although, perhaps a bit underestimated."
All Might nodded, easily accepting at a glance that the green goliath, that tore apart battalions of soldiers and what appeared to be an equally large monster of similar strength, was as strong, if not stronger than him.
"If there is any consolation as to this revelation, it is clear that the situation between Dr. Banner and this 'Other Guy' is a more severe, unmanaged version of Mr. Shishida's Quirk's rage." Nezu added, this time directing his words to the group. "Its clear that this transformation has a near separate mind of its own, a split personality as Ms. Yaoyorozo helpfully pointed out. Do take comfort, however small this may be, that the actions of your counterpart's transformation are not to be placed on your shoulders, or the fully onto your counterpart either, Mr. Shishida. Take instead this glimpse into what this other life shows to be a warning and a lesson to learn from. What you learn from it is to be decided by you."
Jurota was silent before nodding and looking up to the Principal of U.A. "Thank you, Principal Nezu." Jurota thanked. "I will."
Nezu nodded with a smile. As they began to look back to the movie, Jurota received pats and words of comfort that he took with humble humility. The most interesting of which was from Dark Shadow, drawing Jurota's attention to the raven-headed teen who the shadowy Quirk was attached too. It was clear by Tokoyami's eyes that he wished to talk after the movie and so, driven by curiosity, he nodded in acceptance.
"I'm going to take the jet to DC tonight." Ibara said.
"Tomorrow." Katsuki said.
"You have homework." Ibara replied. "You have a Lot of homework."
"Well, what if I..." Katsuki said, turning to Ibara.
"If you didn't?" Ibara finished to which Katsuki answered with a "Yeah." "You mean when you've finished?" Ibara asked, a smile forming on her face. "Well, um, then..." Ibara leaned in an whispered something unheard to the audience but to Katsuki Stark, his reaction to what she said included wide eyes, agape mouth, a forming smile and clear interest.
The reaction to this definitely livened up the mood of the formerly silent group. Mina and Setsuna burst out in sheer laughter which was soon followed by the rest of the girls, even the normally silent Yui and Reiko let out a chuckle or two. Ibara's blush came back with a vengeance, 1-B's holy vine girl now praying for the Earth to swallow her whole and escape this sheer embarrassment.
For not being one for religion, Bakugou too prayed for the same fate. He now sat, complete red-faced with howling laughter from the guys around him filling his ears. Kaminari fell out of his chair in his laughing fit and Kirishima and Tetsutetsu, while not laughing, as much, were making things worse by giving him a 'Manly Pat of Approval', which only fueled the laughter more. Even Deku cracked out a short chuckle, his face clearly showing that he was restraining a smile.
Only Mineta was not laughing as he was busy wallowing in jealousy, muttering something about how he wished he 'have a piece of that fine holy ass'. Bakugou wanted nothing more than to blow the perve's head off after that, but the explosive teen knew he couldn't lash out or risk incitement for more teases and laughter. And also risk getting detention for murdering purple perve, but mostly the first part.
With the adults, laughter was also exploding from most of them, the most vocal and unrestrained of which included Mic, Midnight, Hawks, Miruko, and Pixie Bob. There were of course a few outliers like Endeavor and Edgeshot, who groaned at the 'juvenile' attitude of their fellow adults and pros, Aizawa, who was smashing his head into his armrest, and Vlad King, who's red angry face seemed clear that he wanted to smash Bakugou into his armrest for 'corrupting' his student.
Yamada watched the interaction and turned away awkwardly, a cracking smile breaking out of his composure.
Ibara pulled away to which Katsuki said "Square deal. Fly safe." Katsuki agreed.
Ibara smiled and leaned in, the two connecting with a kiss.
Coos and awes rang out in unison from the mouths of the female side of the group, with even Miruko, while still rolling her eyes, smiling happily. Ibara peeked out from her self-imposed vine cage, smiling at the sight of how happy her other self and Bakugou were, while praying for a similar luck. Meanwhile with the menfolk of the group, they shared smiles, nods of approval, and several thumbs up, all directed towards Bakugou, though the explosive teen only truly noticed, or rather appreciated the ones from Deku and Kirishima. He gave them the faint resemblance of a 'Thank you' nod before focusing on the video, smiling pleased and hopeful.
David Shield smiled, fondness in his eyes as he remembered the similar passion and romance that he and his wife, long since passed, shared. Endeavor, meanwhile, was the only one who didn't share in the smiling and happiness. His thoughts turned to his own wife, Rei, attempting to find the happy memoires of the two, but all he found coming to him was the cold silence and the eyes of fear that stared at him. Enji's eyes turn solemn, imagining the dream once more, a dream of his family, Rei, Shoto, Fuyumi, and Natsuo, all at the dinner table, smiling, happy, but he is never there.
'The construction of the new house is already beginning. It should be done by the end of the month.' Endeavor thought. 'I can never truly ask for forgiveness, Rei, so I won't. But if removing myself from your life, form our children's life, is what I can do to make you all truly smile, then its a husband's duty, my duty, to make it so.'
"Work hard." Ibara whispered as the broke away and walked to Hizashi. "So any chance you're driving by LaGuardia?" She asked Hizashi.
"I can drop you." He replied.
"Fantastic." Ibara said. "Oh, I want to hear about the cellist. Is that a thing?"
"She moved back to Portland." Yamada revealed.
"What? Boo!" Ibara exclaimed.
"Oh, seems like there's more romance in the air." Midnight cooed, turning to Mic. "Yamada, is there someone that You are seeing, too?"
Mic froze in panic. "W-W-Whaaaat?! No! No! T-There's no one!" Mic waved her off, a nervous smile plastered on his face. "I'm a free bird!"
Midnight smiled predatorily. "Careful there, Hizashi." Mic shook as Midnight stalked him with a dark aura and smile. "You know you can't secrets like that from me. I always find the truth. And if I found out that you've been holding out on me on a special little lady for you...well, you know what will happen, right?"
"C-C-Crystal!" Mic nodded rapildly, completely terrified.
"Good." Midnight smiled, her mood going a complete 180. "Glad we got that settled."
As Midnight turned back to the screen, Yamada gripped his heart and let out panicked breaths. 'I'm so screwed!' He thought.
Meanwhile, Katsuki watched them leave and waved their closeness off. He turned back to the data to see another panel showing Loki, the giant hole and destruction of the facility, and a holographic image of the Tesseract. Katsuki grabbed the hologram of the Tesseract in his hands, narrowing his eyes at the center to what looked almost like a blue stone.
The scene changed to a S.H.I.E.L.D. jet flew through the ocean at super quick speeds.
Inside the jet, one of two pilots spoke to Yamada, by some controls in the back, with "We're about 40 minutes out from home base, sir."
Yamada got up from the monitor and walked towards Izuku who was sitting by the seats on the side, the super soldier looking at a tablet showing a video. "So this Dr. Banner was trying to replicate the serum they used on me?" Izuku asked.
"So the reason why Shishida is what looks like a green goliath of destruction, is because he tried to copy the serum that made Midoriya a super-soldier." Itsuka said.
"Well mission accomplished." Setsuna said. "Sort of."
Izuku frowned, the guilt already starting to come up. A hand went to his own, turning to see it was from Uraraka. "Don't." She said seriously. "I know that look. Don't start blaming yourself for things that aren't. Got it?"
Izuku stunned by Uraraka's sudden seriousness and determination in her voice. He quickly smiled gratefully and nodded. "Got it." He replied.
"A lot of people were." Yamada nodded. "You were the world's first superhero."
"So Midori was the first superhero of their world!" Hagakure said, ruffling Izuku's messy hair affectionately. "Talk about ironic for our Number 1 Hero fanboy."
Izuku blushed from the attention, and the surprisingly pleasant feeling of his hair being ruffled. Uraraka turned to glare at Hagakure, unable to see, yet knowing that the invisible girl was smirking at her small victory.
"Banner thought gamma radiation might hold the key to unlocking Erskine's original formula." Yamada revealed.
"Wasn't it that Vita radiation that they used on Izuku?" Momo asked.
"Yeah, they put Muscles in a Vita-Ray chamber, that's what they called it, and used those rays to stabilize, activate, and speed up the serum." Mei said. "Maybe Dr. Banner thoughts gamma radiation was part of the Vita Radiation, or that it could substitute for Vita Radiation."
Hearing the monstrous roars and destruction on the video, Izuku responded with "Didn't really go his way, did it?"
"I'll say." Sen said, before wincing. "Oh. Um, Sorry Jurota."
"It is fine." Jurota nodded.
"Not so much." Yamada agreed. "When he's not that thing, though, the guy's like a Stephen Hawking."
Izuku looked up to Yamada with a confused look in his eyes.
Realizing Izuku's cluelessness, Yamada said "He's like a smart person."
"Huh, they have Stephen Hawking in their world too." Melissa said.
"Isn't that the guy in the wheelchair that talked like a robot?" Kaminari said, mimicking how Hawking looked like.
Suddenly, Kaminari was captured in a net, the 1-A student's screaming muffled by the thick net. The group whirled to see it come from the cannon on Mei's shoulders. "DON'T YOU DARE DISRESPECT HAWKING!" Mei yelled in outrage.
"Yeah, she's a pretty big Hawking fan." Power Loader spoke up. "Not like anybody in the field of science isn't."
It took a few minutes to calm Mei down and free Kaminari from the very effectively thick net. They even had to use Kamakiri's blade to cut through.
Izuku nodded. "I gotta say, its an honor to meet you officially." Yamada admitted, the calm, collected agent now looked like he would explode in fanboyish glee.
Midnight giggled. "My my, it seems that our resident fanboy now had his own fanboy." Midnight said.
"Two fanboys." Mandalay said, smirking. "Don't forget my nephew. When we went shoe shopping, he practically begged for the red shoes as his hero."
"AUNT SHINO!" Kouta yelled, blushing in embarrassment.
While the group laughed, Eri pouted and yelled. "Hey! I'm Papa's fan too!" She jumped up and wrapped her arms around Deku's neck. "I'm his Number 1 fan!"
The laughing only intensified while Kouta's eyes twitched at the unofficial challenge Eri declared. Izuku chuckled nervously. 'Maybe I shouldn't tell them about Katsuma.' Izuku thought of the little boy he saved from Nine at Nabu Island.
Izuku smiled and nodded. "I've sort of met you." Yamada said. "I mean, I watched you while you were sleeping." Izuku blinked his eyes, looking away with a reaction mixed between humor, awkwardness, and creeped out. "I mean, I was present while you were unconscious from the ice." Yamada corrected himself embarrassed.
"YOU IDIOT!" Yamada yelled. "Why did you have to say it like That?!"
The teachers and students roared again in laughter, with even Aizawa smirking at his friend's embarrassment.
Izuku chuckled, scratching his cheek. 'I guess this is what the pros feel like.' Izuku thought, thinking back on the times he fanboyed and muttered about the Heroes he met.
Izuku getting up and walking up to behind the cockpit, looking out the window, Yamada quickly joining him. "You know, its r-really j-just a huge honor to have you on board."
"Well, I hope I'm the man for the job." Izuku replied.
"Oh, you are. Absolutely." Yamada responded. "Ah, we made some modification to the uniform. I had a little design input."
"Oh, Deku, you're getting a new Hero suit!" Uraraka said excitingly.
"Yeah, now that I think about it, you've had the most drastic change to your Hero costume more than anyone of us." Mina pointed out.
"And Todoroki too." Hagakure jumped in. "Remember how he only wore that white suit and covered half of himself in ice."
"The uniform?" Izuku questioned. "Aren't the stars and stripes a little...Old-Fashioned?"
"With everything that's happening, and the things that are about to come to light, people might just need a little Old-Fashioned." Yamada replied.
"Makes sense." Sen shrugged.
Izuku looked at Yamada with seriousness and dread of the things to come.
The scene changed again to couple of men in armor and weapons running down a dark tunnel and into an underground lab full of men and scientists working on machines. In the center of the room was a large glass box, with David Selvig working on a machine with a few scientists helping him.
"Daddy." Melissa said worryingly.
"Are all of those people brainwashed by Loki too?" Nejire asked.
"Possibly." Ryukyu answered. "Although it could be that some are simply mercenaries or even enemies of S.H.I.E.L.D."
Loki looked on as the doctor and men worked, crouching by some steps, the Scepter in hand. The blue gem of the Scepter hummed in power and glowed, a stream of blue wispy energy flowing into him. Loki breathed deeply as the background of the underground eroded and crumbled away to find himself in the darkness of space, on an asteroid, and, waiting for him, the dark cloaked figure from before.
"Woah, what the hell is going on?" Kaminari said, utterly confused.
"It looks like some form of an illusion or imaging of where Loki came from." Edgeshot analyzed. "But I don't believe its part of his powers. There must be some sort of way he is doing this."
"Its the gem on that scepter." Bakugou replied. "The gem glowed before that happened so it must be it."
"So the scepter and the gem can fire bolts of energy upon command, it can brainwash people in a form more powerful and intricate than Shinsou's Brainwashing, and can also project an illusion or mental imaging of other places." Izuku listed off and wroet in his notebook.
The dark cloaked figure was now better seen, showing underneath his cloak he wore a white and golden armor, yet his face was still mostly covered, all that was seen was is white, wrinkled lower head, with a golden helm around the sides of his head.
"Its that cloaked alien dude from the beginning." Sero pointed out.
Eri and Kouta held onto Izuku again at the sight of the creepy alien.
"The Chitauri grow restless." The dark cloaked figure spoke.
"Let them gird themselves." Loki spoke back, a mirage of Loki forming before the Other, this Loki wearing his golden, horned helmet, a green cape, and his armor more golden and glorious looking, and the meter long Scepter became the size of a staff staff. "I will lead them in the glorious battle."
"He can also project a version of himself there as well?" Kinoko questioned.
"He did something similar in the Thor movie." Yui said. "That or he was using a form of invisibility to not be seen by anyone other than Thor in that detention room."
"Battle?" The Other questioned as he stood behind a rock formation. "Against the meager might of Earth?"
"Glorious, not Lengthy." Loki pointed out. "If your force is as formidable as you claim."
"You question us?!" The Other questioned Loki loudly, turning his head towards the Asgardian's image. "You question Him?" He gestured his six-fingered hand towards the path towards the throne and its unknown recipient. "He who put the Scepter in your hand? Who gave you ancient knowledge and new purpose, when you were cast out, defeated?"
"I was King!" Loki snapped at the Other. "The rightful King of Asgard, betrayed."
"Brother." All Might shook his head in concern and pity.
The Other scoffed in disgust. "Your ambition is little and born of childish need." Loki shook his head as he looked towards the path towards he throne. "We look beyond the Earth, to greater worlds the Tesseract will unveil."
"You don't have the Tesseract yet." Loki pointed out.
The Other hissed, his form shifting and speeding to where Loki was, his bloody teeth revealed in a snarl and his six-fingered hand raised up in attack, more of his face revealed to see that his upper half of his face was covered by black bands.
"Jesus, that guy looks freaky!" Mineta exclaimed.
"And he looks like he has a form of super speed from how he went there so quickly." Iida said.
"I don't threaten." Loki clarified calmly. "But until I open the doors, until your force is mine to command, you are but words."
"I will say this Monoma is as bold as ever." Ibara said dryly.
"Bold is not the word I would use." Setsuna retorted.
"You will have your war, Asgardian." The Other lowered his hand and spoke. "If you fail, if the Tesseract is kept from us," The Other leaned in and walked past a still Loki and circled him. "There will be no realm, no barren moon, no Crevice where He cannot find you." The Other stood behind Loki and growled.
Monoma couldn't help the shiver of fear that ran up his spine at every word spoken by this disturbing alien and the imaging of some dark evil Master over his shoulder.
Eri and Kouta buried their faces into Deku's chest, the green-haired teen holding them close and covering their ears.
"You think you know pain?" The Other leaned in and whispered, the shape of a large serpentine like figure snaking from behind the rocks. The Other raised his hand up and next to Loki's still, yet fearful face. "He will make you Long for something Sweet as Pain!" The Other placed his hands on Loki's face, the world flashing in white hot light before it faded and revealed Loki back in the underground lab, jerking his head aside, teeth bared in pain. Loki panted, eyes opening to reveal anger, but more importantly, fear.
"Okay, who here is going to have nightmares about that?" Awase asked, raising his hand. Most of the students raised their as well, including Monoma.
"He's afraid." Toshinori said, looking to Nezu with a myriad of hope in his eyes. "Could it be that he's being coursed into this?"
"I can see that you are desperate to prove that your brother in this world is faultless, All Might, but I remind you of all that he did in your adventure." Nezu pointed out, All Might flinching as he remembered all to well.
"This is like you and Shigaraki, Toshinori." Gran Torino jumped in. "Even if he's Shimura's grandchild, and most likely manipulated and raised to be a Villain, it doesn't excuse him for the crimes he committed. And the same applies with your other life's brother. Misguidedness is not an excuse for innocence."
"I know that, but-"
"And even if he is being pushed onwards out of a sense of fear of whoever this person may be, he is still intent on attempting to conquer the Earth." Gran Torino continued, interrupting All Might. "Don't let your feelings cloud your judgement."
All Might still looked conflicted but nodded.
The scene changed back to the Quinjet soaring towards an aircraft carrier, bearing the S.H.I.E.L.D. logo on its side and runway. The jet slowed and hovered above the runway, shifting its rotors and landing on the runway safely.
Ochaco walked up to the jet, dressed in black leather pants and jacket, a red shirt, and sunglasses. As he arrived, Yamada and Izuku walked out of the jet, Yamada directing two men in yellow jackets to go in.
"Agent Romanoff, Captain Rogers." Yamada introduced the two to each other.
"Ma'am." Izuku greeted.
"Hi." Ochaco greeted back.
"Best friends together again." Asui said. "Even in another life."
"Its also weird that technically Deku is old enough to be my grandpa but looks the same age as me." Uraraka chuckled nervously.
Ochaco turned to Yamada and said "They need you on the bridge. They're starting the face-trace."
"See you there." Izuku said as Yamada jogged off the to the bridge, leaving Izuku and Ochaco alone.
Whilst in competition with the pink-cheeked girl over the same boy, Mina couldn't help the teasing giggling at seeing the two alone together. 'Hopefully, they grow closer together because of this.' Mina thought, looking at Uraraka looking particularly nervous with Izuku displaying some nervousness himself. 'They have to for my plan to go into motion.'
"It was quite the buzz around here, finding you in the ice." Ochaco said as the two started walking. "I thought Coulson was gonna swoon. Did he ask you to sign his Captain America trading cards yet?"
"Trading cards?" Izuku questioned, a slightly embarrassed smile on his face.
"They're vintage." Ochaco replied. "He's very proud."
"Oh my god, this is priceless!" Midnight laughed, while Yamada slumped in the embarrassment of his counterpart.
"Papa, you have a trading card of you?" Eri asked curiously, before exploding into excitement. "Can I have one?!"
"U-Uh, s-sorry Eri." Izuku apologized. "Maybe later."
While Eri was disappointed, she nodded and calmed down. Momo frowned sadly at Eri's disappointment, with Kouta likewise disappointed but kept quiet, and Izuku's face of guilt. A metaphorical lightbulb flashed in her mind and went to work, quietly.
The two walked over to Bruce Banner, nervously looking around at every soldier near him or passing by. "Dr. Banner." Izuku called out.
Dr. Banner looked over at the two and walked over, shaking Izuku's hand. "Oh yeah, hi." The nervous doctor greeted back. "They told me you would be coming."
"Word is they tell me you can find the Cube." Izuku said.
"Is um, that the only word on me?" Banner asked, looking around.
"Only word I care about." Izuku responded.
"Thank you for the generosity and compassion towards my counterpart, Midoriya." Jurota thanked and bowed.
"Its no problem." Izuku waved off politely. "I honestly don't believe that a person's worth should be defined over their Quirk or past mistakes, but by their present actions." As Izuku said this, he rubbed Eri's head, to her delight, all the while thinking about how this frightened little girl, that didn't know how to smile, once thought herself a curse for her Quirk, and now is sitting next to him, smiling and working on training her Quirk to control it and help Mirio, like a Hero too.
Bakugou looked over silently with an unreadable expression. The former bully could tell that what Izuku meant by 'past mistakes', referring both to Banner's transformation and Bakugou's mistreatment of Izuku throughout their childhood. Bakugou also could tell that Izuku was referencing Bakugou currently trying to atone for his mistakes. The explosive teen could not tell whether to be fond and grateful of Izuku's sense of forgiveness, or be angry that it was being offered so easily to him.
Hawks smirked pettily, wondering how the former members of the Meta Liberation Army, and now the Paranormal Liberation Front, would take to what Midoriya said. His petty thoughts wondered mostly to Geten, the PLF's ice-powered muscle who would say the opposite, and Skeptic, who would likewise act extremely negatively towards anything remotely against the views of the PLF.
Bruce nodded in appreciation. "It must be strange for you, all of this." Bruce said, gesturing to the their surroundings full of modern technology.
"Well, this is actually kind of familiar." Izuku admitted, looking at a couple of soldiers jogging around in a group.
"He's thinking about his time in that military training camp, isn't he?" Kamui asked.
"Probably." Death Arms nodded and smirked at the memory of Midoriya jumping onto the faux grenade and proving himself.
"Gentlemen," Ochaco interrupted the two. "You might want to step inside in a minute. Its going to get a little hard to breathe."
As the words left her mouth, large sounds and rumblings sounded off in the ship, an alert flaring. "Flight crew, secure the deck." An agent over the PA spoke up.
"Is this a submarine?" Izuku questioned.
The scientists of the group, mostly Mei, immediately perked up at the question.
"No way." Melissa said. "Its impossible for an aircraft carrier of that size to be a submarine aircraft carrier."
"Wait, that's a thing?" Kyouka asked.
"Sure was!" Mei jumped in. "They were some fancy designs and ideas for submarine aircraft carriers since all the way in the 1940's and 50's."
"So why wasn't it ever made or utilized more?" Itsuka asked.
"Ultimately, its concept wasn't of particular use of efficiency." David answered. "By then, more and more battles were taking place in the air so a submersible vehicle was unnecessary and rather costly. Plus, any submersible that big would be easily be detected by sonar and attacked."
"Really?" Bruce questioned back, the sounds of loud, large engines activating. "They want Me in a submerged, pressurized, metal container?"
"Yeah that would also be kinda risky." Setsuna said.
The two walked up to the edge of the ship and look down at the water to find the water giving way and revealing a super-sized propeller engine along with another engine further up the ship's side and two more on the other side, air swirling around as the previous believed aircraft carrier started to slowly lift off the water and into the air.
Jaws dropped in unison, eyes widening instantly in complete shock.
"IT CAN FLY?!" Kaminari and Sero exclaimed loudly.
David Shield looked absolutely braindead that it took a bit of time for All Might to shake the scientist out of his stupor. Power Loader had to slap himself hard, even with his large gloves, to make himself sure that he wasn't dreaming. Mei straight up fainted, and even Melissa stared wide eyed in awe, and even drooled a little, something which Izuku chuckled and found rather cute.
The rest of the group weren't far off from their fellow audience members with their shock. Some of the guys unanimously agreed to pinch themselves for the same reason as Power Loader. Tsukauchi was so shocked, he dropped his pen and notebook. Nezu laughed like a maniacal maniac. Even the stoic Aizawa was struck speechless at the sight of the slowly ascending aircraft carrier.
"Ladies and Gentlemen, let me introduce you to the Helicarrier." F.R.I.D.A.Y. introduced the name of the flying ship.
Izuku and Bruce stepped back, Izuku's face filled with surprise and shock and Bruce with dark amusement. "No, no, this is Much Worse." Bruce chuckled.
Men were seen strapping jets to the ground of the carrier and others come out to the flight deck wearing air mask. The Helicarrier lifted off the water fully and hovered upwards into the air.
"Amazing." Momo gasped in awe.
"Truly a work of engineering marvel." Iida exclaimed.
"You can say that again." Melissa managed to say.
"MAMA WANTS!" Mei yelled and nearly leapt for the device and F.R.I.D.A.Y. It took Izuku using Black Whip, and strenuously use 20% of One For All, to hold back Mei, and remind her of their deal of one day of Izuku Baby-Experimenting time.
'Her Invention Babies! Not the Other Kind!' Izuku mentally clarified himself at the contextually-needed title he dubbed his cursed deal with the she-devil known as Mei.
Izuku and Bruce followed Ochaco into a large control room bridge. The center of the bridge had a large triangular table with chairs on both sides and in the center of the back, leading up to a series of panels with Shouta Aizawa in the center of them. The center led off forwards into a pathway towards the glass windows up front, and separated two rows filled with computers and agents operating them. Stairs that lead to walkways were at the very side, connecting the front and back by another level with more machines and agents. The area was overlooked by yet another level, separated by glass.
"Holy crap, this place looks awesome!" Awase exclaimed.
"Impressive." Nezu nodded, still smiling maniacally.
Izuku looked around in amazement and wonder at the impressive sight, while Bruce stood to the back, by the S.H.I.E.L.D. symbol and two guards standing next to it, turning away from them nervously.
Agents called out readings everywhere as they roamed around and worked. "S.H.I.E.L.D. Emergency Protocol 193.6 in effect." Nemuri called out by a sperate station by the right. She turned towards Aizawa and said "We are at level, sir."
"Good." Aizawa said, looking out at the sky in front of him. "Let's vanish."
"Pfft, Aizawa looks like he's King of the World." Snipe chuckled, the rest of the teachers chuckling.
"Not of the world, but, in this world at least, your jobs." Aizawa said ominously, a shit-eating grin on his face as he looked towards the shivering and scared Midnight and Present Mic.
"Wait a minute." Hagakure jumped in. "Did Mr. Aizawa, say Vanish?"
"Engage retro-reflection panels." Kayama ordered.
On the outside, antennas outside shined light out, the Helicarrier shining in light before slowly the ship started to camouflage with the bright sky until its turned nearly, fully invisible.
"IT CAN TURN INVISIBLE, TOO!" Hagakure exclaimed.
"Likely to hide it more effectively in the air." Momo suggested. "It would be rather easy to spot something as large as that flying in the sky."
Aizawa turned back towards Izuku and Bruce. "Gentlemen." He greeted.
Izuku walked up to Aizawa, still looking out the windows, while pulling out a wallet and digging out a 10 dollar bill and handed it to Aizawa.
"Easiest ten bucks ever." Pixie Bob said again, arms shrugging. "Ugh, why did I not put money on this as well?"
"Because no one would take you up on that obvious bet where they would lose." Mandalay said.
"True." Pixie Bob admitted.
Izuku walked up to the middle of the bridge looking around, Nemuri looking at Izuku as he walked past. "Doctor, thank you for coming." Aizawa thanked and raised his hand to shake.
Bruce took the hand and shook in greeting. "Thanks for asking nicely." Bruce thanked back. "So, um, how long am I staying?"
"Once we get our hands on the Tesseract, you're in the wind." Aizawa responded.
"Where are you with that?" Bruce asked.
"We're sweeping every wireless accessible camera on the planet." Yamada spoke up from the left, lower layer of computers, drawing the attention of Izuku while Ochaco crouched and looked at an image and search for Hitoshi. "Cell phones, laptops, if its connected to a satellite, its eyes and ears for us."
"That sounds rather invasive." Ibara said.
"Well they are searching for a possibly world-ending cube of ultimate power and are a spy organization." Setsuna pointed out. "Niceties like privacy kinda go out the window."
"And when has anything been private on the internet." Yui said, causing laughter from the group.
"That's still not gonna find them in time." Ochaco replied.
"You have to narrow your field." Banner spoke up, taking off his coat. "How many spectrometers do you have access to?"
"How many are there?" Aizawa replied with a question.
"Does that mean that they have all the spectrometers." Kaminari asked.
Kyouka tapped her nose.
"Okay, I just wanted to make sure, before I say or ask something stupid." Kaminari said.
"You mean all the time?" Sero joked, to the earning of some chuckles.
"Zip it, you!" Kaminari exclaimed.
"Call every lab you know." Bruce said. "Tell them to put the spectrometers on the roof and calibrate them for gamma rays. I'll rough out a tracking algorithm, basic cluster recognition. At least we could rule out a few places." Aizawa nodded in approval. "Do you have somewhere for me to work?"
"Agent Romanoff," Aizawa called out. "Could you show Dr. Banner to his laboratory, please?"
Ochaco nodded and walked up to Bruce and led him away. "You're gonna love it, Doc." Ochaco said. "We've got all the toys."
The scene changed back to the underground lab, David instructing a few scientists to move equipment around. David looked to his helped and walked up to the wall, amused. "Where did you find all these people?" David asked.
"S.H.I.E.L.D. has no shortage of enemies, Doctor." Hitoshi replied, tapping on a tablet.
"Called it on the enemies of S.H.I.E.L.D., Ryukyu." Miruko shoulder-bumped the Dragoon Hero.
Hitoshi raised and showed the tablet's contents to Dr. Selvig, showing the name and photo of one Dr. Heinrich Schafer and a metal with the name of Iridium. "Is this the stuff you need?" He asked.
"Yeah, Iridium." David nodded. "Its found in meteorites. It forms anti-protons. Its very hard to get hold of."
"Science nerds, take it away." Kaminari jokingly gestured. "Is what the brainwashed scientists said true?"
"Please stop that." Momo said, Melissa lightly frowning at Kaminari for the nonchalant words towards her brainwashed father. "But mostly, yes. Iridium is a rather rare element, very thinly found in the Earth's crust but is normally found in meteorites with scientists speculating that the asteroid the wiped out the dinosaurs, and other meteorites, spread the iridium in them across the globe and into the Earth's crust."
"As for anti-protons formed by Iridium, that's also true." Melissa jumped in. "Its a very corrosive-resistant material with some uses, like spark plugs because of its high melting point and low reactivity, or compass bearings and standard metre bars. Iridium can also produce anti-protons when high-energy protons collide with it. So theoretically-"
"Its a prime and likely necessary element they need to likely control the high energy of the Tesseract and form a sustainable and controllable portal for Loki's army to invade." Jurota finished grimly.
"Especially if S.H.I.E.L.D. knows you need it." Hitoshi noted.
"Well, I didn't know." David replied, before noticing Loki walk up to them. "Hey!" He greeted happily. "The Tesseract has shown me so much. Its more than knowledge. Its truth."
"I sound delusional." David growled angrily.
Melissa whimpered in worry of her father, seeing his counterpart's brainwashed blue eyes speak with such zealotry.
"Its still rather disturbing to think that scary to think that Loki brainwashed them so thoroughly that they are acting like themselves in a more zealotry form." Iida said, looking towards Shinsou. "Shinsou, is your own Brainwashing Quirk as effective?"
"No." Shinsou answered, frowning in displeasure. "With my Quirk, I can command people I Brainwash to do very simple tasks, like writing a name down in front of them, but I can't make them do anything that would require higher brain function, like this."
"I know." Loki replied. "What did it show you, Agent Barton?"
"My next target." Hitoshi replied.
Shinsou once more growled in distaste of a similar power to his own being used to Brainwash him into doing evil.
"Tell me what you need." Loki said.
Barton walked up to a case and opened it. "I need a distraction." He said, pulling out a bow, before looking back at his brainwashing master. "And an eyeball."
"I'm sorry, come again?" Mina questioned, worried and slightly nauseous at the strange and disturbing request.
Back at the Helicarrier, multiple computers were shown running a face trace search for Loki. Yamada and Izuku stood looking around and patiently waiting. "I mean, if its not too much trouble." Yamada said suddenly.
"No, no, its fine." Izuku eased the man and agreed.
"Its a vintage set." Yamada added with fanboyish excitement. "It took me a couple of years to collect them all. Near mint. Slight foxing around the edges, but-"
"Please, oh whatever universe-changing God or whatever, something shut me up!" Mic groaned while chuckles and laughs came out of the group at Mic's and Izuku's embarrassment.
The awkward conversation was interrupted by a beeping alert. "We got a hit." A bald man in glasses spoke up and turned to the two. "A 67% match." Aizawa looked at his screen and checked. "Wait, Cross that. 79%."
"Thank You!" Mic exclaimed.
"Location?" Yamada asked.
"Stuttgart, Germany." The agent reported. "28 Konigstrasse." He showed an image of the area along with a picture of Loki in formal dress attire. "He's not exactly hiding."
Monoma frowned, not at all pleased that his evil counterpart looks more and more like himself, now wearing a suit similar to his own Hero costume.
"Captain." Aizawa spoke up, Izuku turning to face the man. "You're up."
Izuku nodded and walked, the screen showing Loki walking towards the crowded entrance of the building.
"Yay, Zuku's back in action!" Nejire cheered. "Good luck, Zuku!"
"T-Thanks, Nejire." Izuku thanked the energetic periwinkle-haired girl. He looked between the screen, a frowning Monoma, and a frowning and worried All Might. 'Don't worry, All Might. I'll stop your brother's rampage.' Izuku thought, looking determined at the screen. 'Even if I have to take him down, harshly.'
AAAAAANNNNNDDDDD SCENE! Phew, Finally! Sorry for the long wait guys but here it is, the first part of the Avengers. I actually meant to have this longer but I felt that this was both a good stopping point and that it was long overdue.
So first, let's talk about the obvious Jurota Shishida as Bruce Banner/Hulk. To explain my choice, yes, I am aware that Jurota would fit more with Beast from the X-Men, however the X-Men are not in the MCU and won't be for a long time so I feel that having him as Hulk won't be any issue. As for why I ultimately chose Shishida for Hulk is for a few reasons. Firstly, their power are similar, with Bruce transforming into a large, green rage monster that goes wild with rage, can barely be controlled, and super destructive, whilst Shishida also can transform into a larger, more devastating version of himself that is more wilder and raging, although Shishida's intelligence still in the form, though to a lesser degree, makes him more like Professor Hulk in Endgame. Additionally, both characters are also intelligent and calm in their original forms.
Also, I wanted at least One member of Class 1-B to be a member of the Avengers. Bakugou was already Iron Man, Izuku was Captain America, and Ochaco was Black Widow, three members of 1-A. Shinsou, a General Course student and future Hero Course Student was Hawkeye, and All Might, a former Pro Hero and Teacher, was Thor, so that just left Hulk and Shishida was the perfect fit for the intelligent and raging duo. Also, like I did with Setsuna and her past, I wanted to expand upon Shishida's past and gave him that backstory to show why he is so calm and polite and a classic 'Control the monster inside' story, like with Tokoyami and Dark Shadow, another possible choice that I have other plans for this fic.
Then there is Midnight as Maria Hill. It only made sense to have her be Hill with Mic as Coulson and Aizawa as Fury, the trio of close friends completed as a trio of S.H.I.E.L.D. Additionally, Maria is known for wearing tight black spy suits, perfect for Midnight's more dominatrix style dressing, and can both be rather a mix of serious bluntness and joking liveness, at least in the MCU as shown mostly in Age of Ultron.
Also we finally had Shinsou get brainwashed, as anticipated, and had the purple-haired student get a taste of his own brainwashing medicine and be displeased with the villainous way it is used. We had some more lighthearted teasing of Bakugou and Ibara, now a couple in the MCU, and Izuku getting the ironic business end of a fanboy's praise from Yamada. And we also got perhaps something going on between Shinsou and Yui and separate plans that Mina and Momo appear to have in this works. What could these be?
In any case, I hoped you enjoyed the chapter and again I must apologize for the month-long absence but again I just wanted to clear my head and have some time off. I know it would be better to make an author's note chapter and tell you guys, but I don't want for you all to get excited over a possible new chapter and find out in disappointment and fear that it is an author's note, and have you panic that it might be me dropping the story, which I'm not. As for stories being dropped, again MHA watches Death Battle was not dropped, and Will Be Continued on Archive of Our Own exclusively for now on as I don't want to bother trying to get this story back in site that would just take it down again.
With all that said, I hoped you guys understand and loved the chapter, leave your comments and thoughts in reviews, like who who do you think will be who in the MCU, remember to please get your shots so that we can finally be done with this stupid virus and move on with our lives, and stay safe and healthy.
This has been Zayden StormVoid, and I will see you all in the next chapter, preferably sooner. ADIOS!
