Most everyone assembled into sets, Seamus saw. Harry, Ron, and Hermione formed their trio early on. Dean and Seamus struck up their quick friendship, with Neville a sometimes hanger-on when not communing with his plants. Lavender and Parvati, and Fay and Sally-Anne—and, of course, those outside of Gryffindor, too.
But third year came, and with it Seamus' eyes kept straying to Lavender and Parvati's table during Divination. Suddenly the chattering duo seemed earnest in their palmistry studies; Lavender's eyes lit up in a way Seamus hadn't seen before.
Perhaps, if he were lucky, new sets would soon be formed.
