Penelope was desperate. She'd heard about the sweets in whispers, long after she would've had use for them during a bad school day. But a bad workday?
"Looking for anything in particular?" came a familiar booming voice.
Penny jolted, wondering how Lee Jordan hadn't gone into commentating after school. "I need Puking Pastilles," she ground out.
He pulled a box off a nearby display and gave it to her with a gleaming smile. "Clearwater, right? Ministry work?"
Ugh. "…yes?"
"Instead of faking ill, you could always play hooky."
"That so?"
"Yep. I get off in an hour. Join me, yeah?"
