It wasn't merely friendship that kept them together through the D.A. debacle.
"Surely you've got better things to do," Marietta chuckled as they sat together at her vanity their first summer out of Hogwarts.
Cho pursed her lips and helped Marietta with her makeup regardless. "Nothing more important, Mari. I know your inner beauty. I want to help you match the outside to the inside."
Marietta took the powder puff from her. "It's all right, Cho," she said, eyes downcast.
But it wasn't. So Cho ensured she knew Cho wasn't going anywhere, that her loyalty wasn't so easily cast aside.
