He had no real desire to irritate his parents. He loved them a lot and got along with them well, and they enjoyed his closest mates even though his grandparents still stuck their noses up at Al's and Rose's surnames.
But…something about the utter disaster that was Roxanne delighted Scorpius. Perhaps it was her desire to take her father's Wheezes to the extreme. Perhaps it was her "Blast-it-all" attitude when faced with challenging assignments. Perhaps it was her laugh when people turned green, hearing her name.
He did wonder, though, if he'd ever be able to bring her home…
