Regulus has his priorities, had them for years. Maintaining the Black family name, maintaining ace marks at school, maintaining his reputation as a champion for Slytherin's Quidditch team… He's good at maintaining priorities.

But befriending Gideon was not part of the plan, and Gideon's smile is a spell to Blast all those priorities away. It's a blue-eyed, freckled spell that follows kind words that makes Regulus' mind go blank of everything, priorities and not.

"Everything all right, Reg?" Gideon asks.

It both irks and relieves Regulus that Gideon has this effect on him in their last few years in school….
