They believe in all the same fantastical things, things beyond the magic, that their friends won't ever believe. Luna's delighted to have found a friend, a love in her fellow Ravenclaw, Rolf.
But she envies him, too. He tells her stories about the Scamander family's travels, how he and his grandfather delight in seeing these wonders in person. His father's not as enthusiastic, but Newt Scamander is synonymous with adventure.
Rolf reaches for Luna's hand one day, pausing another Scamander family story.
Luna smiles but doesn't share her envy.
"I'd like to take you on one of our trips, Luna."
