Molly's mission in life was to succeed in either of her parents' footsteps. She could follow Percy's path into the Ministry work of her choosing. Or, she could take Audrey's pre-family plans and open up a shop; it didn't necessarily have to be on Diagon Alley, given that rent was sky-high in peacetime.
But…perhaps it was all right to abandon said mission…or at least to amend her plans…the longer soft, fair, sweet Dominique's friendship persisted in her life as the thing that truly mattered most to Molly, even more than as friendship.
That was a success, yes?
