She rolled her eyes as Pansy huffed and went off about Blaise's coolness whilst studying for O.W.L.s and Draco's reluctance to spend time with her and all the usual nonsense. Daphne had most of her schedule in line with Pansy's and had spent most of the day listening to the other witch moan and groan already, which was quite enough in her book.
But Daphne's ears pricked up when Pansy's shrillness softened and her groans lessened to mumbles about parental expectations. This was when Daphne knew to mollify the girl with a cheek peck.
Pansy was all bravado, after all.
