Percy thought Scorpius was just keeping his best mate, Al, company, joining the Auror Office. But the shy, strong wizard kept wandering from the Auror Office despite himself, regardless of whether Al went to visit family elsewhere in the Ministry.

Percy also thought he merely liked catching Scorpius' eye. Who wouldn't enjoy a bit of attention when work's your whole life?

But then Scorpius' eyes met his. Neither wizard looked away.

And Percy thought—no, he knew—this was a crush. Egads! Now he had to think of a gentle way to turn Scorpius down when he next visited…

…right?
