The wedding happened quickly, after Hogwarts. Rodolphus had a wedding ring that tied him to the pull ring from a grenade—yes, he was deemed worthy to marry Bellatrix, but. It wasn't fair.
Bellatrix's eyes never focused on anything except reshaping the world into one for purebloods, a world meant for the Dark Lord. Her eyes never truly drifted Rodolphus' way.
That was why Rodolphus felt neither anger nor disgust when the family learned a few years later that Andromeda eloped with her Muggle-born. Andromeda… Bellatrix-light—someone softer, fairer, someone who wanted a family…
