Megan could care less about making friends in their House, even as the years go on and studying becomes a pain and the distractions pile up because one Harry-bloody-Potter is part of the class. She doesn't have a desire to work in the Ministry with her sister; she just wants to get by.

But she feels a pang of envy, spying Leanne making friends with Bell from Gryffindor. Leanne's a sweet girl; Bell's lucky they're friends…

…and Megan feels lucky whenever Leanne looks her way, offering a soft, sweet smile.

(Hmm. Friendship doesn't matter much to her, but what if—?)
