Finally! Today was the day the two were going to see that popular movie that was just released to theaters. They had been planning on going to the movies to see it for weeks now, and they were finally going.

At least, they would have.

"Okay, got the tickets. Are you ready?" The Grinch asked as he walked into her living room, but then stopped once he saw his girlfriend on her couch with her head resting in her palms. "What's wrong with you?"

Martha groaned. "I don't feel too good."

He raised a bushy brow. "Well, what is it? Your head, your stomach...do you have a fever?"

She raised her head to look at her green beau. "Female issues."

And he immediately grew quiet at that single response, yellow eyes slightly growing wide. "Oh..."

Martha sighed. "I'm sorry, honey, I know we had plans to go see this movie but I don't think I'm in the mood to go out today."

He stared at her while she spoke, brows furrowed as he hated seeing his Mayflower in a state of discomfort. Although he knew this was a natural situation and there was really nothing he could do about it, he still wanted to try.

"Stay here, I'll be back." He said as he walked out of her front door without another word.

"Wait, where are you-" Martha began, but he was already outside.

She sighed and slumped down into the cushions of her sofa. Now what? She had no idea where he went off to and these cramps were REALLY starting to take a number on her. She just hopes he won't be long.

A few moments later, her main door opened again and in stepped Grinch back with a bag filled with...something in his hand.

Martha straightened herself up from where she was sitting. "Where have you been?"

"To the store," He replied as he stood in front of her, opening the paper bag and rummaging through it. "I got you a few things,"

His girlfriend watched in surprise as he began removing the items one by one and placed them on the coffee table in front of her. He had bought her a number of goodies: some snacks, a carton of 'Strawberry Swirl' ice cream (her favorite flavor), a small bag of her favorite candy (which mainly consisted of chocolate), a box of movie theater popcorn, a box of tissues (in case she gets a little emotional), and last but not least her favorite movie: The Titanic.

Martha gasped as she felt her heart swell at her boyfriend's kindness and generosity. "You did this for me?"

"Well duh! You're my girlfriend, it's kinda my job to make you feel better."

And she laughed at his sarcasm, feeling her previous pain begin to melt away as she jumped up and embraced her boo. Peppering him with kisses on his cheek and lips. Grinch smiled and embraced her in return, happy that he was able to make his Angel feel better.

"Wait, what about the movie we had planned to see?"

Grinch smiled at her beautiful face and kissed her on her forehead. "Don't worry about that. Besides, we can always go and see it another time. Either that or just wait until it comes out in stores."

He brought her over towards her sofa and sat down with her, wrapping his arms around her and snuggling her. Grinning at the scent of her heavenly perfume.

"Your comfort is more important anyway."

She could've started crying right then and there, but she'll save the tears for the movie. How did she ever get so blessed to end up with a man like him?

"I love you, Grinchy."

He chuckled and kissed her once more, grabbing the remote and turning on her TV to begin their stay-at-home date night.

"I love you too, babe."
