It had been a lot of work on the side of the class but the Halloween party was proving to be a real hit. Sero had created a series of hammocks around the dorm living area, where both he and Aizawa were relaxing while Mina jumped around trying to tip them and anyone who entered one out with the fan Izuku had gifted her. The skull effect appearing over anyone she hit amused the spectating staff. Iida was trying to stop her, but someone had spiked his punch so his efforts were less than accurate to the amusement of everyone else.
Momo was healing everyone the duo disturbed and apologizing profusely for the disturbance, while the medigun Izuku had helped her design glows brightly. Kaminari was just watching with amusement as he charged a similar looking gun with his electricity. In the corner Izuku was happily using his rancho relaxo on top of his dispenser while Eri copies him exactly with a child sized rancho relaxo on top of a mini-dispenser. Ochako sat next to the two admiring the mittens Izuku had provided her.
Unknown to the trio in the corner UA's big three were taking photos and videos, saving the overwhelming cuteness for the future. A collective aww is heard as Izuku and Eri reach for their sodas and take a drink in perfect unison.
By the kitchen Kyoka was doing her best to stop Sato from teleporting his cake, not wishing to repeat the bread incident from summer camp. Toru soon notices and disguises herself as Kyoka before joining the argument, confusing a healthy All Might who had also moved to interfere. Deciding it wasn't worth his time, All Might returns to Recovery Girl and continues their discussion on how Izuku's treatment could possibly have left him with chest hair in the shape of Japan.
Of course this was UA and peace and quiet could never last and just outside the dorm, not far from where Tsu was getting some fresh air a strange glowing portal appears and a strange man with the skull of a ram as a hat and wearing a dark robe with a scarf and cape steps through.
"Merasmus the Wizard has come for your souls!" The man says.
"Not the wizard!" Izuku says leaving his chair.
"Should I know about this?" Aizawa asks as he does a quick stretch.
"I'd forgotten about him, turned up on Halloween a few years ago. But left soon after, said something about the whole team not being there." Izuku explains as he takes out his PDA.
"Well let's see what he wants." Aizawa says.
"Ah, you have a team now." Merasmus says as Izuku walks out the door to the dorms with Aizawa and the rest of class 1-A. "Merasmus is glad you made friends, FOR me to take their souls!"
"What do you want?" Izuku asks.
"DOOM! All of you are doomed!" Merasmus shouts, taking out his staff and a book.
"I think we're fighting." Izuku says before moving to the side of the group and building a sentry.
"You think you can just attack a hero school on your own?" Aizawa asks as he takes a combat stance.
"Fools! Mortis Longdistimus!" Merasmus shouts before raising his staff and sending waves of green magic at the front line of teachers, setting them on fire and launching them into the air.
This led to a mixed reaction from the students, Momo rushed to heal the teachers as Izuku set up a dispenser. Ochako tossed them bananas while Kaminari panicked and looked for someone to charge. Sato quickly ate the cake he had been holding and used an orange rocket launcher to jump into the air before pulling out a folding shovel and attempting to land a hit on Merasmus. Kirishima took out the new minigun Izuku had gifted him, specially created to deal with fast opponents and immediately began targeting Merasmus.
As the students began their haphazard response Merasmus lashed out with his staff, knocking students around and causing general mayhem. "Run fools!" he yells before casting another spell, sending students and recovering teachers in all directions.
After what felt like a lifetime of fighting Merasmus appeared to be growing weaker, but before they could finish him off, Merasmus disappeared and his disembodied voice projected over the grounds. "Merasmus must hide!"
"What's he doing now?" Aizawa asks, impatience evident in his voice.
"Well, I don't know, but I'm sure that pumpkin wasn't here earlier." Izuku says as he sets up another dispenser to deal with the many injured fighters.
"The longer I hide. The stronger I get." Merasmus' voice says, in between his malevolent laughter.
"Quickly find things that don't belong and attack them!" Momo shouts, figuring out the mystery.
"Let's do it!" the slightly drunk Iida says before charging an out of place table with his shield.
"You know Izuku, I already thought your quirk was strange, but this is a new level of weird." Kyoka says as she searches for out of place objects through her scope.
"Tell me about it." Izuku says. "Some of the items I've created for you guys have the strangest effects that I didn't even anticipate. Ochako's banana for example, it was a normal banana I gave her at lunch, and now it heals her if she or someone else eats it, and it returns after a few seconds!"
"That wasn't intentional!?" Kyoka asks, eyes turning to Izuku in shock.
"Nope." Izuku replies with the tone of a man that just accepts it all.
"I am hiding, but as what? A pumpkin? A brick! Perhaps a harmless oil drum? Or a brick?" Merasmus' voice taunts.
"Ah! That's enough!" Momo shouts, putting her medigun into its holster before creating a pair of saws and hacking at any pumpkin she could find.
"Should we help?" Toru asks, appearing next to Izuku and Kyoka.
"No, we need to be ready for when he appears again." Izuku replies.
"I grow bored." Merasmus says, "Oh I know, The wheel!" he continues as a holographic prize wheel appears on the side of the dorm building. "Come on wheel, Merasmus needs this."
"I have a bad feeling about this." Izuku says.
"Jarate! Merasmus is... sorry about this one." Merasmus announces as the wheel lands on a skull and everyone is drenched in a yellow liquid.
"Damn you Merasmus!" Sato shouts as everyone audibly complains. Luckily for them Momo had finally found the right pumpkin.
"Emergis Exmortis!" Merasmus yells as he emerges from the pumpkin launching another ranged spell on the students. Momo, being closest, is sent flying and with some effort Tsu catches her and leaves her next to one of Izuku's dispensers.
"I've had it with this wizard!" Momo shouts, sending her medigun beam at Tsu and with the flick of a switch turning the both of them solid green.
Tsu charges forward, grenade launcher in one hand, sticky in the other. Merasmus is soon engulfed in explosions.
On his last legs, Merasmus puts his staff away and raises his book to the sky. "Forbidden Book! I unchain thee! Cower before the Bombinomicon!"
"Have some bombs, guys!" a strange voice says from the book as stereotypical bombs begin popping out of it and raining down on the students.
Predictably the students and teachers flee in all directions as explosions rain down, Present Mic sends some back with the clever use of his quirk but has to retreat when more rain down.
"What do we do now?" Kyoka asks as she shoots Merasmus again to little effect.
"Well, with that book's attitude, I wouldn't be surprised if it helps us too." Izuku says as he keeps his sentry healthy with a few well aimed rescue ranger shots.
"That would be a bit too lucky." Toru says, clearly tired of the situation, but as soon as she says that her head becomes a bomb and the strange voice begins talking to her.
"Ey, buddy! No time to explain! Run at that wizard!" the voice says.
"Well go!" Izuku shouts, noticing her hesitation.
Through the rain of bombs Toru runs until she collides with Merasmus, exploding and flying into the air, covered in green ubercharge.
"Bombinomicon! Betrayer!" Merasmus yells as he stands stunned by the explosion.
"Everyone now!" Izuku yells and as one everyone fires on Merasmus, bullets, explosions, quirks of all kinds fly at the stunned wizard and soon he begins shaking uncontrollably.
"You haven't heard the last of Merasmus the Magician!" Merasmus shouts as he gets sucked into a portal. "One last spin!" he yells as he disappears.
"The wheel! Come on... Set them all on fire." Merasmus' voice calls.
"Not this again." Aizawa groans, officially deciding this was the worst Halloween ever.
The wheel lands on a picture of people dancing and Merasmus shouts: "And though you fight to stay alive, your body starts to spasmus. For no mere mortal can resist, the magic of Merasmus!"
As one the teachers and students do a simple thriller dance several times before most of them collapse in exhaustion.
"You know, nobody's seriously hurt, and we got some exercise, I'd say that was a good Halloween." Izuku says as he has a drink in his rancho relaxo.
The looks he was getting from his classmates and teachers informed him he should regret that sentence and before they could do anything about it he rushed inside and sentry jumped onto a small ledge above the door. Setting up his chair once more he chuckled as he listened to the strongly worded complaints of his peers.
AN: Happy Halloween mortals! I'll begin by saying I took many of Merasmus' lines directly from TF2, credit to whoever writes him, they do a great job. As I've gotten quite a few reviews on continuing this I'll say I've been trying but I don't have much inspiration, hopefully halloween and the resulting TF2 play time might give me some ideas. I might even write about the bread incident at summer camp, (just think expiration date) or perhaps explain how some of the students got TF2 weapons? (from Izuku, but I guess my reasoning could be explained; perhaps with a meet the team like vibe...) or even the meeting of Mei? Anyway, let's hope ideas appear in my head sooner rather than later.
