Chapter 5 Reunion

3rd person PoV

Roaring thunder, clashing lighting, rain falls upon the once beautiful meadow of flowers, only to be trampled by the heavy rain and whipping winds. Leon, who was in a deadlock stare with the pure Electric lion. Luxray, with a goal of finding and retrieving a shiny shinx, who is currently with Lily and Lazuli. Leon, who is about to draw the Tanto/Chopper blade, still trying to reason with the angry cat. "Please, if you tell me the situation, I may be reasonable to help you. Would you tell me?" He pleaded one last time, hoping to end something before it even started. But to no anvil, it wasn't enough. "NEVER, I rather die than to throw away my pride. I have to find him, at any cost" she replied back, barring fangs, that seem to start conducting electricity. "Thunder Fang!" She shouted before charging at Leon. The human watching her movements carefully, waiting for the right time to Dodge. Right before she landed the attack, he jumped out of the way. Sliding a bit from the mud, he quickly turned to the bright blue blur that dashed behind him. (Quick attack!?) Dashing one more time, landing a solid blow from a quick attack on the Human's blind side. "Ugh, dam it. This isn't looking good. I know I took down a fat Persian before,but that's because he was so focused on, I think lily?, That he left his left side wide open for my blade to dig into his shoulder to serve his nerves that worked the limb." He then drew his blade from its sheath. He knows he doesn't want a repeat from the last time. Feeling horrible for basically killing a living being's way of life by crippling it. (No, not this time. I'm not going to hurt anyone like that. I gotta find a way to just drain its energy or do enough damage to knock it out. Come on, Leon, think, (nope, got nothing) YOUR NO HELP!!) "Iron tail!" Suddenly broken out of that random thought, the sight of a sharp steal tail heading towards him, he brought up hi weapon to deflect the attack *clash of metal* successful deflected the thunder cat's attack, he took the opportunity to strike back, slashing her back right limb.

By doing so, it should cut her speed down a bit. "Uuughhh Dam you! I'll make you pay for that!" The now seriously pissed off Luxray, it's not gonna hold back. "Let me tell you something before I kill you, do you realize what the weather is like at this very moment?" She said with a grin of victory in her grasp. Leon, who is wondering why she asked such a question, only to look up. Then it hit him, it hit'em like the next attack she had in mind for "oh shit...it's a Lighting storm!! That means electric moves are powered up" he yelled out in fear of what's to come. "Woooow that right, you're pretty smart, for a human. To bad you won't be alive much longer. Good bye, Human." The clouds above, full of electrical energy, started to form the said move. A hundred thoughts ran through his head. (Dam, not here, not now. I was just given another chance to live a happier life, only to be taken away yet again. Am I really hopeless?) As Leon was losing hope, a unknown voice enter his mind [Leon, use your blade to deflect the lighting] (What? Who said that? Maybe it was my last thoughts but then at the phrase "deflect the lighting" reminds me of something.) he remembered a old tale from his old world, a black Smith once Forged a blade that could harness lightning by attracting it to the blade before redirecting it. In theory the blade itself was nothing more than a Lighting rod, but maybe it's worth a shot.

The human, looking up at the lightning that was about to come crashing down. Readying his blade. In the distance, he heard that Luxray called her strongest move. "THUNDER" the move was cast, heading to its intended target, the lightning struck straight to the ground, followed by an explosion. A crater was left in its wake. Silence overtaken the battlefield. Only the sound of rain and the scream of a young female Eevee, who was watching the whole time, saw her human friend, get disintegrated.

Lazuli's PoV

I was watching from the sidelines. Trying my best to stay out of the way. The battle was fierce as attacks were exchanged. The difference in strength is obvious that the Luxray is far stronger than Leon. But he has his knife. Sis told me when they first met at the Dark Persian's territory, he used it to defeat the leader. Hopefully that wasn't a fluke. After that two dodge each others attacks, the move iron tail was being used by the luxhoe. The move clashed with the cutting tool making this awful sound. He landed a blow on her back leg.

"Alright, if he keeps this up, he'll be able to beat this bitch." As I say that,i noticed his face getting pale. The luxhoe was smirking at him, like she had the upper hand. the last thing I heard was thunder, before a giant lightning bolt came down right on top of him, followed by an explosion. The force of the blast was so much it sent me flying backwards. I try to stand back up to see what happened. My heart sank. I was a loss for words. Where my friend was once Standing, has now vanished. I heart wouldn't stop beating so fast. (He's gone...no, can't be right? Right??) I say to myself before I yelled out it pain, anger and sadness "LEOOOOOOOON!!!!" I dropped to the ground, tears ran down my face like a river during a flash flood. As I sit there, in despair, I couldn't help but feel regret. When we first met, I tried to kill him myself but then I got to know he was a good human, a human who saved my sister and helped around. "Leon..I'm sorry"

"Did someone call my name?" I heard and immediately shot my head up to see the human on his knee while eating a berry. "Phew, that was a close call there. I really didn't think that would work." I stood there in shock. (How, How did he survived that!? From what Dad told me years ago about thunder being the strongest electric move of all, especially during a storm like this) I thought to myself, still trying to puzzle on what just happened and looking at the crater. "Bleh, this Wacan berry sucks." so that's the berry he's eating. That kind of Berry is loved by water and flying type Pokemon that are weak to Electric. As I look over to the Thunder lioness, who just stood there also in shock. I decide to do something stupid and run up to her. I can't just stand by and watch anymore. As i got up to the electric-type. I cleared my throat before speaking. "Hey, why are you doing this?! What's so important about that Shinx that you couldn't tell us." I yelled at her, getting the shocked cat's full attention. Eyes narrowing on me, looking to attack. Growling before replying.

"He's incredibly important to me! I said I'll do anything to get him back, even kill to get to him." Lightning started to charge up around her. Not only that, when she turn to me, the pressure and electrical discharge that's circulating seem to get stronger. Must be Rivalry ability.

"Yea right, for all we know it could of been 'You' how attacked him! Don't you know how badly he was in!" I fired back with anger in my voice. I just wanted to unleash a Shadow Ball to her dam face. That last comment pretty much tipped her over the edge.

"HOW DARE YOU!" slamming her paw down with a thunder fang charged up. Clearly gonna hear it now. "I WOULD NEVER HURT MY SON!!" she lunges at me with the electric move, with the intention to kill. (Hope is her son? And I said all that without knowing that.) Without paying attention to what's happening, the Lion jumped at me, going for the bite. I close my eyes, flinching of what's to come. Right before the killing blow, I heard Leon telling me to watch out, followed by the sound of metal being hit by something. I open my eyes to Leon using his knife to hold back the Thunder Fang, electricity bouncing off in sparks (pretty).

Leon's PoV

I was able to dash over the Lazuli to stop any damage that would have been inflicted on the brown fox. Using my blade to collide with the overgrown kitten's fangs, holding her in place. I took the opportunity to roll backwards,taking her with me as I lifted her off the ground, shifting my own weird to help propel the big cat up, placing my foot on the stomach. During mid roll I kicked as hard as I can, launched her overhead of both me and the soaked eevee. Hearing the body hit the wet ground, covered in mud and petals, I get up to face the electric-type one last time. "Enough of this!" I yelled at the Luxray, who was in a daze from the sudden flip. "Are you saying that Yellow shinx is your child and you are looking for him?" I asked her, still holding my blade. Like how you hold a knife while having a gun in the other hand, except no gun.

Starring me down, but instead of anger and seriousness, her eyes looked.. worried. Like any mother would be if her children were lost or hurt. "Yes, my son, Hope, is a yellow Shinx." Finally starting to have a breakthrough. I start to lower the Tanto slightly down, showing I'm still willing to talk things out. "Won't you please tell us what happened" I asked her with sincerity in my voice. Not looking away, till I sneezed, "achoo, oh my bad, I think being completely soaked from all this rain is finally getting to me. Why don't we stop? Me and Lazuli will take you to him. We can explain our side on the way." She nodded to the thought, and lowered her guard, I do as well by sheathing the weapon back into the belt. I walked over the sad, lonely and soaked eevee and picked her up. Holding her close to my chest as we head back to Lily and Hope.

Hope's PoV

Still feeling a little weak, I try not to move much. I picked up the sliced up Sitrus berries that the female Eevee that's next me cut up. I believe her name was Lily she said. I feel a bit awkward around her thought, I've never been this close to a female, other than my mother. She keeps rubbing this juice over my burn wounds. It stings every time she touches them, but her calming voice and those sparkling green eyes, help me forget the stinging. "Is anything wrong, Hope? You seem to be staring off into the sky." I snapped back to reality as she asked me something. (Oh no, did she notice I was staring at her?) "I was umm ye umm was thinking of what happened to me, yea hehe. Umm how did I get here?" I rub the back of my head with my tail, trying hard not to fail miserably talking to this cute Eevee. She giggled at me, probably from me stuttering. "You can relax, alright. No need to be nervous. Here, eat some Rawst berries." I sat up and went to pick up the berry with my two front paws, bit into it. "We found you in my garden outside. You were in terrible condition with burns all over you. Even your butt got Burnt *giggles*" I couldn't help but blush from embarrassment. My butt, now that I look at it, had a big bald spot next to the base on my tail. "My fur...my furry fur. Burnt, and in the most embarrassing spot." I try to hide my face by burying it in my paws. I felt something touch my back, I looked up and see it's Lily. "Your fur will grow back, I know it will. I remember my Dad lost all his fur on his back for a month."

"How did that happen?" I asked curiously to know what happened. "He fell asleep on top of a fallen tree still covered in sap. We had to ask out Neighbor Lucario too pull him off and well..."

:Flashback:

Lucario: "ok, I'm gonna pull on three. 1…. 2 *rips the Jolteon of tree*"

Jolteon: "AHHHHHHHHHHHH, YOU SAID YOU'LL PULL ON 3!!!"

Lucario: "I lied"

:End Flashback:

I sat there with a blank stare. Trying to process the hell was up with that. "I miss my Dad." She said as her pretty smile vanished. I can tell that talking about her father would be a very touchy subject to talk about. "I'm sorry. At least what you told me was pretty funny." I say smiling back hoping to cheer her up. "Yea, it was a funny time to see his bare back. Sis once painted a target on his back for the little Fletchings to drive bomb him. He got so mad and grounded Sis for a month." She says giggling away. As we were talking, I heard a sound coming from the entrance of the den. What came in was another Brown fox. This must be Lazuli, if I remember correctly, followed by a.. "A human!? What's he doing here?" I turn to Lily with a concerned look.

She seems fine with him, in fact she just walked up to him and rubbed her head against him, welcoming him back in. "Oh, Hope, This is Leon. He's a very nice human." She turned to Leon and took a real good look at him. "Leon, what happened!?" Her voice started to rise in worry. "You're hurt! Your clothes are destroyed and covered in mud. Sit mister, I need to check you for wounds so I can clean them up." She ordered the human to do so but till he looked over to me. "Hope, right? I have someone with me who's looking for you." He steps to the side, helping a large black figure covered in head to paw in mud and a cut on her leg. To my surprise to see who it was. "M-Mother!" I tried to run to her but tripped over my paws to get to her. She picked me up by the scruff and carried me back to the bed I was in. Lily went over to the human who she told to sit down, with a serious look on her face as she looked over his whole body.

Lily's PoV

I can't believe how reckless he was. Sure he's brave but also Human. A Human who most likely was fighting the Luxray that's licking Hope all over, even those spots. She must be a very caring yet protective mother to him. I look back towards the dirty and injured 17year old, who's covered in claw marks, burn spots and worst of all, his right arm is in a lot of pain, he said. Just what in Arceus' name happened out there. I knew the ground shooked, please don't tell me he was hit by whatever that was. I asked him to remove the clothes on his upper body, I wouldn't dare go anywhere else. "Leon, can you tell us what happened out there?" I ask him as I go wet some cotton. He then explained about the battle that took place. The more he talked about,the more I felt scared and worried. What if he died? I didn't want to be alone again. Even though I have sis, it just feels so right to have him with us. Even Lazuli, who rarely opened up to anyone, felt the same. I start to wipe down all the mud off his chest, doesn't help that I'm blushing. (Please don't notice) as I continued, I heard Big sis ask something.

Lazuli: "Hey, you never explained how, in the world, did you dodge thunder? It was lighting outside, that move should have hit you. Not saying you should have gotten hit but I'm glad you escaped it but it just baffles me." What!? That time the ground shooked, was caused by that. And 'he' was supposed to get hit by it. I pawed him 3 times on his chest, not hurting him, but showing I wasn't happy about that. My ears fell down and with an angry look I gave him. He scratched the back of his head as he pulled out the knife he had, it was a mess, the once shiny objects, was now nothing more than a black and jagged. I couldn't help but feel sorry for him, this was one of things he took care of.

Leon: "well for starters, I honestly lost hope. Knowing the outcome of thunder in a Lighting storm never misses. But as I stood there, a voice came to me. Telling me to hit the lightning with the weapon"

All of us listening to what the human just said, had blank stares on our faces. "Hit the lightning? First off, that's impossible, unless you're an electric or ground type. It simply can't be done." Lazuli called out from our group. Leon on the other paw, had a smirk that said otherwise. "True, it is impossible. Unless you had Lightning Rod. The metal in this weapon has, is made from a type of metal that can attract electricity of any type to a single point. But just having something like isn't gonna help alone, it needs to be planted in the ground where the electricity can be dispersed. So right before the attack was executed, I stabbed the handle part in the ground and the blade pointing. Like hell was I gonna try and hit lightning, il take my chances with a truck." Honestly none of us still get it, but Hope seemed too. His eyes were wide open and his tail was swinging back and forth.

Lazuli's PoV

Well that, somewhat, explains how he survived Luxray's attack. My heart is still racing from what happened. Despite all that happened, everyone seems to be calmed down. An awkward silence filled the room. I mean, what do you expect, one minute you're fighting for your life, next thing you know you're sitting next to each other in the same room. As time went on, it got more and more, till a noise came from the biggest cat in the room.

Belly growls* The Luxray tried to play it off, but that was only the beginning. One by one all of our stomachs started growling. Even the echo was growling. I broke the silence telling everyone I was gonna get some food for all of us. As I walk back to the stockpile, things weren't looking so good. It's worse than I originally thought. Leon followed me back here as well. Even he knew, right away, dividing what we have left between 5 mouths. "What should we do? I don't think there's enough for everyone." I say to him, he sat down and stared at the pile of berries we have left. "Alright, I got it. I'll take the two Shuca berries we have here for Hope and his mom. I'll dice them up with some of the Oran berries,along with some Pecha, giving some sweetness to balance out the Shuca. For you, I'll cut you up some Pecha, along with some Grepa berries. Lily freaked out the last time she saw one." He said while chopping up the berries and spreading them onto separate leafs we use to drag berries. (Gotta remember to get more leaves) "Grepa berries are her favorite berry of all time. I'm not a fan of the texture of it. Bleh" I tell him, sticking my tongue out. We both started laughing. While we were sorting and cutting berries into mini salads, I happened to eye my favorite berry, licking my lips, I think Leon noticed because he pick it up. "You want this berry?" He holds the Hondew berry in front of me. I couldn't help but nod. I love Hondew, very rarely I find one, and when I do I save them for when I have a bad day or to celebrate. I love the spiciness and bitterness together, the texture of the inside is so chewy. "Th-thats my favorite berry. I was saving it." I told him as I turned my head. He just laughs as he cut up the berry and puts it in my pile. "You know, I'm surprised that thing can still cut."

"Yea, after I cleaned it up a bit, there was still some Sharpness left. But unfortunately, I also inspected the durability of it as well and if you look here, all these lines here and here, going in random directors, aren't so good" I look over to see what he's talking about, I did notice all those weird cracks. To think that thunder attack did all this to some piece of metal. "If I were to use this for anything but cutting up the fruit, it would shatter and break apart. It's a shame really, such a beautiful piece of weaponry." His voice got lower at that last part. Guess some things never last, even human things. Finally finishing up preparing food into even portions and setting a whole berry on top of each pile to tell who's, is who's. Mine had my favorite berry on it. Lily got her favorite berry on her pile, I can already see her drooling and licking her lips at the sight. Hope got a Kasbi berry, I tried that before. It was too dry for me, even if it was sweet. Hope's mom had a Shuca berry. Leon's pile was different I've noticed, his was smaller, and had half a Oran on top. "Leon, are you feeling alright? Your pile is alot smaller than all of our's" Hope said to him. He responded no and picked up the Berry. "Well, dig in everyone." He said with a big smile. You know, it almost feels like we're eating dinner with the whole family once again. I missed this feeling, I bet Sis does too. It's weird, Ever since Leon came, it's like our whole world changed for the better. "Eh Hope's mom" I heard Lily's voice about to ask the electric-type something. "Please, call my Ava, dear." She bows down, in both apologetic and respect for the den owners. "I am truly sorry for everything i have done to you, Mr.Leon. I acted rash on both my nature and Motherly instincts. I realize now that I refused to listen and tell you my reasons" tears start to roll down her sad face. "I don't know if you can forgive my foolishness, but I am truly sorry" her son, Hope, joins her side and also bowing with his mother. "I-I-I'm sorry too, I didn't mean to trouble any of you." Honestly, no one could blame her for what she's done. Any mother would have done what she did. A mother's love is not to be messed with. "It's ok, what you did was perfectly understandable. I'm sorry as well not telling you, I was only trying to protect him as well. He was injured and young, I couldn't take any chances in his condition" Leon said to the crying mother of a Shinx. "If I was in your paws, I'd most likely would have done the same."

After everything that happened and said, it's been a long exhausting day. Me and Lily couldn't help but yawn. Hope yawned shortly after we did. Leon suggested that Ava and Hope should spend the night here. It's a good idea too since the storm still hasn't let up, not even a little. Ava accepted the offer, leaving Me, sis and Hope, making beds for everyone. Using what we can, we were only able to make 3 beds. Ava and Hope had to share a bed, Leon's took a lot of the straw and leaves, leaving me and sis with very little. Leon didn't want us to not have something to sleep on, so he gave us two options. Option one was he would cut his bed in half, so he would have enough left over for a pillow, obviously me and sis wouldn't agree to that. Option two was for all 3 of us to sleep together. Me and sis already snuck into his bed and onto his chest and arms before. So we both agree on option two, he couldn't help but laugh at us for the choice and we couldn't help blush about sleeping together. After all that is said and done, we all snuggled up in our bed, Hole was with his mom, while Me and sis curled up in the warm humans arms. Then it hit me, "Hey, Leon." I say to him. "Yea? What is it Lily?" "Don't you need new clothes?" He just looked at me with his mouth wide open to the sudden realization "Oh shit…"

Evo: here's to another chapter. I'm starting to think I'm posting too frequently or rushing it. I honestly just write whatever comes to mind at the moment. I'm a daydreamer, so my mind goes off into God knows where lol. I hope this chapter cleared some confusion from previous chapters, if not let me know in the reviews. I've actually started rewriting this just in case things go south. Well gotta figure out chapter 6, till next time *waves*
