Chapter 8 a Journey continues

Lily's PoV

"Oh come on, I said I'm sorry!" Said the yellow cat trying to cheer up the depressed human, who's hair is a complete train wreck. "My hair…is frizzy" the human said, trying his best to fix it. What happened earlier was funny but now I feel a bit guilty for laughing at both, his pain and hair. Yet I'm still giggling at it. Big sis is gasping for air. Her own fault for laughing that hard. Needless to say, this was one hell of a morning.

:2hours pass:

Finally after traveling so much, we found an actual path on the road. Most likely leading to a human town. On our way down the dirt path, we stopped by a little pond for a quick drink, Leon went to do something real quick. Big Sis went to look around for berries. Leaving me and Hope together. He doesn't look too comfortable with me, He keeps looking around and I could see a faint red crawling on his face. Guess it's up to me to break the silence. "Hope, is everything alright? You seem to be in stress." I ask him, trying to lean in closer. I think leaning in made it a bit worse for him, but it can be a challenge to hear him sometimes. "Huh what oh umm yea, everything is fine. Hehe oh.." he says rubbing the back of his head. I can't deny that he does have a cute side with all his shyness. Nothing wrong being shy, after all I was shy too. "You don't have to be so nervous with me, Hope. We're friends aren't we? Come on, something is on your mind." I reassure him, putting a paw on his back. It did seem to help somewhat but still nervous looking."Alright. It's just, I miss my mom a lot. I've never been this far away from her before in my life. And umm sorry about being nervous, I'm not too use to being alone with a umm... female" his voice started trailing quieter, I heard enough to get that last part. I giggled at him for being this way. It's not his fault, I'm like that with males too. We started to talk about little things like berries, flowers, all while drinking some water. Wonder where sis is?

Lazuli's PoV

"Dam it...dam it…..ugh Arceus dam it! Not a single good berry at all. Just the bleh kind, yuck." I say aloud toss every berry that sucks. I was hoping for some new kinds to eat. Not saying the ones I like and love are getting old but new stuff wouldn't hurt. We have traveled pretty far from home. This takes me back when Dad would take me on adventures. If anyone noticed by now, me and sis are completely different. I love the adventure and battling, while Lily would prefer gardening and helping others. She took after mom more, and I'm a 'daddy's Girl'. I do miss him, He disappeared after he said he was gonna check on something and never came back. At first I thought he abandoned us, until we got word that he was killed by a rogue Salamance. Hearing the news hit us all differently, Lily wasn't that depressed compared to Mom and me. Dad was everything to me, I've spent the most time with him, besides mom of course. I think mom took it the hardest, she wouldn't move for weeks on end for the first 7 months. Thankfully we had Lily to help mom, she kept convincing her to work in the garden. But now it's just Me and Lily, I wouldn't know what to do if I lost her too.

As I continued my way towards the last tree, I heard voices and running in the distance not far from us. "Kids! Don't run off too far!" A Feminine voice called out to two humans responding back with a "Yes, we will." a pair of Humans, one male and the other female. Both Blond hair, the male has green eyes, bright blue tea shirt and brown pants. The female has Blue eyes and a frilly pink dress. They seem to be running to….(OH SHIT, LILY, HOPE!!!) I ran as fast as I could to them. Even using Quick Attack to catch up to the already gone humans. Sis, Hope, I swear to Jirachi Leon better be there!

Lily's PoV

Snap, was the sound I heard before turning around with Hope, only to see our worst nightmare. "Oh no! Humans!" I get on all fours, tail and ears down, Hope did the same as we both started to back up. "No way, Brother, a Shiny Shinx! We got to catch it. Too show everyone we're the best." The female human said to her family member. "Yea, no problem, we'll even get a rare Eevee too." The boy pulled out a red and white ball, throwing it straight up. "Go, Emolga, use Quick Attack on shinx" the ball opened to shoot a beam of white light, revealing a yellow mouse, with flabs under its arms catching the wind making it fly. "Yes, Master!" The flying said in a girly tone. Charging straight at Hope with great speed, tackling and sending hit a few feet away. "You're really cute, I hope master will catch you for me~" purring and giving a seductive wink. I run over to Hope to help him up. Putting my paws together. "Wish" I say as stars around me fly up then down on Hope, healing him. *Cough cough* "Thanks Lily, now please run, I think they're after me." He tells me and he lets out a Thundershock to try and hit the flying target, but she just flies around it. The Male human called another quick attack, followed by a Thundershock. Hitting the Yellow Shinx hard. I just sat there, helpless, unable to help my friend. Just like with mom when she needed me most. Hope fell to the ground, unable to move. I looked back to the Human's and saw one of them about to throw something at him. "NOW YOUR MINE!" throwing the colored ball, hitting Hope, he was covered in a red light, sucking him in the object. It moved a couple of times before it clicked. "We got him!" The female jumping up and down. "Bro, the Eevee looks frozen. quick, throw a pokeball at it. I'll go get the shinx." He takes another one out, and throws it at me. (No..I'm gonna be captured like Mom and Hope. Please anyone, help me.) As the ball heads towards me and the Female goes after Hope, who's trapped, two very dark purple spheres came out from the woods and hit the ground in front of the girl sending her back unable to retrieve the ball and the 2nd one destroyed the pokeball that was about to hit me. "LILY!" i heard from the bushes, Big sis came out from. She used Quick attack on the Emolga then dashing to Hope's ball, smacking it towards me. It lands in front of me, I believe I know what to do next. "Let's go find Leon, Lily!" I nodded and picked up the orb with my mouth. Running back into the forest, I can hear the humans in the distance. "UGH DON'T LET THEM GET AWAY!!" the male said, sounding incredibly pissed.

We just kept running and running, till we hit a dead end. I dropped the ball on the ground. "Sis, what do we do now?" I asked her before the bushes and twig snapping from behind us got louder, two humans came through. "Got ya now, little runts. Emolga, Thunderbolt!" The human command the mouse. She charged up the attack only to fire it a sec later. Large amount of Lighting came at us, I grabbed my sister and holded he close before saying my last words "LEOOOON!"

"You called?" A figured land in front of us, redirecting the Thunderbolt into the ground. I looked up to the bare back of a young, tall Human who stopped the lightning. *whistles* "To think I stopped lighting a 2nd time, Sorry I'm late to the party." He turned back smiling at us. He's done it again. Why does this always happen to me? He turns back to the siblings, looking pissed off. "Mind telling me why did you attack my friends?" The boy gritted his teeth before saying "You're friends?! Are you for real? Those Pokemon are mine, we found them first, plus we already caught a Shiny Shinx, but those two ran off with 'my' pokeball." The smugged teen said, demanding to hand us over.

"What shiny shinx? !?! Hope!?" Leon turns to us. "Where's Hope, girls?" He asked as I lifted to orb up with my front paws. I placed it in Leon's hands. He looked over it before doing something. He pressed and held the middle part for 5secs, before it went off with these sounds. The pokeball was forced open, Beaming a blue light this time. Our furry shinx appears in front of us, barely conscience. Me and Lazuli try to help him up. The female human finally spoke up "What the hell!? That Shinx is our's, you can't do that!!"

"Shut it. I don't want to hear you're whining. Now leave us alone, or else you're gonna have a bad time." Leon threaten them to turn around and walk away. He wouldn't hurt his own kind, would he? No, Leon is a very kind person, maybe it's a bluff. "HO-HOW DARE YOU!! Now you're gonna get it. Let's go, Emolga. I'm taking your "friends" home with me." He says as the Emolga flies next to him, preparing for an attack. Leon just shook his head while looking down, clenching his fingers in-between his eyes. Sighing before speaking "I did warn you." He put his thumb and index finger together on his lips. *Whistles* "wrrrrrRR" The boy and girl looked clueless too why he did that. Even the three of us were lost. Suddenly stomping could be heard from far away. Each step from whatever it is from, got louder and louder. A figure started to form from the woods, slowly as it stepped out. The figure revealed itself, a Pangoro!? He looked so intimidating, It could be my next nightmare. It rises it fists, cracking the Knuckles. "So, he needs a beating?" The voice indicates it's a male. He looks over to the siblings and was able to put too and too together. Pulling back one of his fists, winding up an attack "Bullet Punch!" He shoot his fist straight, along with several metal fists colliding with the Emolga, sending it to a tree. She hit the tree so hard, it was moved and you could hear the tree getting damaged from the inside. Falling to the ground, the human returned her to the ball. Now face to face with the massive buff panda, they decided to run. But on the other paw, he grabbed them by the collar of their clothes. Showing he wasn't letting them go, as he turns to Leon. "Umm toss them out of these woods. Thank you, Papa, I hope your child grows up to be strong as you." It is said you'll rarely get to see a Pangoro smile, we just witnessed that very rare occurrence. The big Bear gave a smile, before taking off with the screaming humans. Our friendly human turns back to us.

Leon's PoV

Dam, that was too close. Any second later I would've lost my friends forever. Sometimes I forget that trainers will take any chance they get if they saw Pokemon like them. Hope being a shiny is already a huge problem, this only proves that he's a target. The Sisters are also targets, being the only Pokemon in the world that has 8 different forms to evolve into. Speaking of which, I turn back to see all of them hugging and crying. It hurts that they had to experience that, I reach my arms out to hold all of them together, rubbing Lily and Hope's head."Hey, it's all over. I'm sorry I wasn't with you. I wouldn't leave you guys again." All three of them replied "Really? You will?" I nod yes to all of them. Picking them all up as we started to head back to our stuff.

"Hey, Leon, Who was that Pangoro you called Papa?" Lazuli spoke to break the silence. I suppose I should tell them what I was doing. "Alright, I met him just recently…"

:40mins ago:

I was walking to do some, 'Business', after I finished up, I heard a Russell in the bushes. I looked over to see what it was, it was a Pangoro throwing perfectly good berries, talking to himself looking for the right one. "Ugh this isn't the one either! Dam it, I can't let her down" the big panda said as he punched the ground. I can tell something is wrong. Probably his mate is in trouble, I gotta help him. I stepped out of the bushes to allow him to see me. "Excuse me, but is someone in trouble?" He turns around, raising his arms in defense. Showing his on guard and ready to fight. I put up my hands to show I mean no harm. "Easy, I'm a friend, not like other humans that attack on sight. I can also understand your language. I overheard you say you can't let her down, is your friend or mate in trouble?" He lowered his hands down a bit and started to tear up. Guessing this is more serious than I thought. "Yes, My mate, she recently layed our egg. But when the egg came out of her, She started breathing heavier. Her body was burning up and she looks to be in a lot of intense pain. I thought I knew where to find some Sitrus berries but no luck." As he told me his story and his mate, I believe I have an understanding of what's happening. I asked him to take me to her, about 5mins from where we were, we ended up at a cave. (Yay, a cave)

As I entered his home, I saw to my left is a fluffy bed with a blue and black egg in it. Most likely from the female to my right, a tall blue, brown and black fur dog, with spikes on both her paws and chest. "Oh, She's a Lucario, And a beautiful Pokemon too. You and her are both very lucky to have each other." I sat my bag down, taking out the rags from my old shirt and healing berries. I handed him the rags and instructed him to soak it in cold water nearby, he left to do so. I, on the other hand, put my hand on her head and tried my best to listen to her heart. Kinda of hard to do so without getting stabbed by the chest spike. (How on earth, Do Lucarios and their mates deal with this? Well, she has a fever, most likely because she gave birth to an egg. Her breathing is a little heavy, and heart is beating fast.) After looking over her, carefully not to up set or make her uncomfortable. She finally opened her eyes and tried to get up, I place a hand on her shoulder and gently played her back down. "Wo wo, easy. It's ok, I'm a friend. Here to help, your mate let me in to help. I can understand you if you have anything to say." She stopped resisting and played back down. Still worry of me, I saw her aura sensors move up, most likely checking me and how truthful I am to my words.

About 2mins or so,she finally spoke, in a calm, Motherly voice. "Very well, Human, I have read your aura and you speak the truth. I am Lucario, but now that I'm a mother, I guess you can call me 'Mama'. As for my mate, call him 'Papa' if you want."

"Alright, Mama Lucario then. My name is Leon, I got the gist of what's wrong with you, and it seems you just have a slight fever along with being very exhausted." I say to her, seems like she understood. She gave out a sigh and I reached in my bag for some Oran berries. Asking her if she will be able to eat or not, she nodded yes. I sat her up just a bit and feed her the berry, she seemed to be a bit embarrassed, unable to move much without her strength. Pangoro, or Papa, came back with the wet clothes. We switched positions so he's holding and helping her eat. After she was full enough, I instruct the big bear to lower her down, placing the wet fabric on her head and neck. Hand him one of the rags and asked to help wipe her down. About 15mins of doing this, her breathing returned to normal and was sleeping peacefully. The male was thrilled to see his mate was feeling better, giving me a strong hug. (Oof) He told me he will forever be in my debt, just whistle anywhere in this Forest, and he'll be there. We waved goodbye, as I walked out, a voice came to me. [Thank you, Leon, I will never forget the kindness you showed me and my mate.] It was the female Lucario, thanking me for helping her. [Leon, I have sensed other humans in the forest. I'm not too sure if they are friendly or not, but it seems they are battling two Pokemon at the moment. A Eevee and a Shinx.] My heart sank, it was Hope and one of the girls, They're in trouble! I asked her back in response to where they are, she told me the way and I ran as fast as I could. She said she'll continue to guide me to them. It took me about 10min to catch up, seeing both Eevees backed up to a corner, I had to strike now, pulling out my blade ready to counter whatever they had, I heard a male human command a thunderbolt. As he said that, I heard Lily shout my name out in distress. I raced over to them just in time to deflect the lighting. "You called?"

Lazuli's PoV

That explains where he was, he was helping a family out. That's just like him, always helpful to others. I'm glad the Lucario is doing better and helped Leon find us. If it wasn't for her, we wouldn't be here anymore. This is why I hate humans, they attack us just to capture and force us to battle. Although I like battling, It doesn't feel right to battle without reason or for someone else's pleasure. Dad always fought for a reason, to protect us or when to fight for food, fish, love fish. Leon though, he always fought for us, never made us fight when Ava attacked nor when we were attacked by the humans. I've never seen a human fight it's own battles, let alone treat us like equals. We made it back to our stuff. He put us down one by one, letting us get to our bags. I found a Oran berry for Hope, biting haft off for him to eat, the other haft I rubbed on his wounds. "Gees Hope, She really did a number on you." Hope sat there in silence. Feeling ashamed he lost the battle and failed to protect Lily. It wasn't his fault his opponent was more experienced and stronger, Even I might have struggled with the flying Mouse. A battle between land Pokemon and Air Pokemon is sometimes one sided. Air Pokemon can fly around making it hard to reach and to hit if you're a land Pokemon like us. Of course it isn't always like that, we can still win, it's just harder. Hope started to lay down, doesn't seem to want to talk or look at us. I put my paw on his back, trying to give me comfort. "I'm sorry, Hope. Look, I know you did your best to protect Lily, and she's still here because of you."

"Yea, but I still lost and they caught me. Leon was the real hero, I barely did anything." He replied while putting his head in his paws. "Hope, I'm grateful for you trying, I was scared when they trapped you in that thing. You are a great friend to me, I'd be sad if you were taken away." Lily came around with some more Oran berries. She got closer to him and lifted his head. The shinx's face started to light up red. "Hope, this is for you." She kisses him on the head where the Emolga landed a heavy blow at. "Please promise me you wouldn't do anything reckless like that again. You'll get stronger as we travel, so keep your head up high." She said to him while swinging her tail left and right. The red shinx didn't know what to say or do, only to fall over once again, fainted. "H-Hope!?"

"Don't worry sis, you just embarrassed him to the point of making him faint." I said to Lily as I chuckled at the passed out cat. I can't believe she did that. I wonder…"Hey Sis, do you love Hope?" I say to her with a smirk. Her face lit up from the sudden question. "What!? No no, it was a sign of gratitude! I don't like him that way."

"Well, you might want to tell him that before he gets the wrong idea then." She facepawed herself not thinking too far and shook her head trying to think straight. Rustle coming from the bushes and out came the same Pangoro Leon called Papa. He had a smirk for miles, holding a big bag in one paw. Leon went up to greet him, handing over the bag full of something. I walk over to see what's going on. "Hey, what's in the bag?" I asked the human I'm pawing to get his attention. He reached in the bag to see what's in it. Pulling out two odd circle thingies I have no clue on, He seems to know what it is. Next was a feather on a stick? He shook it in front of me and for some unexplainable reason, I couldn't keep my eyes off it. I even went to smack it and chased it in a circle, I immediately stopped to realize what I was doing. My ears and tail fell as a red blush came to my face. (Dam Human, what did you do to me!?) Chuckling to himself, he put the toy away. Next was 3 blue small objects. "Oh these are rare candies, they aren't called rare for nothing." He stated, as he pulled to jars. One red lid and orange arrow and the other is an orange lid and red arrow. What's last might have been the best of all for all of us, Camping Gear. Yes, no more looking for shelter, we now have it on Leon's back. The Pangoro invited us to join him and his Mate for dinner, Leon turned to us and we all agreed to join him. After all, he was a huge help taking care of those pesky Humans.

Lily's PoV

It took us about 20mins to get to 'Papa's' den. Leon is carrying the unconscious yellow cat. I gotta make sure things won't get awkward between us. It was the only thing I thought of to stop him from thinking those things and give him some confidence. I honestly thought he was sick when he fainted, good thing sis knew what happens to him. We got up to the entrance of the cave and was greeted by the big bear and a blue dog, A Lucario, holding an egg. "Hello kids, thank goodness you are all safe and sound." She says in a loving Motherly voice, turning to Leon. "I'm glad you were able to make it in time. When I saw the Shinx got caught, I feared it was too late but it seems that you were able to release him."

"Yea, that was too close. Thankfully Lazuli's quick thinking and attacks helped a ton. I wouldn't know what to do if my friends were taken away." He responded back as the Female aura fighter, as she embraced him in a hug. Hope woke up a few minutes later. I was able to sum up everything up till now for him. She then went over to the straw bed to lay down with the egg. She apologies for not welcoming us more, due to her exhaustion from laying the egg and recovering from a fever. Thank Arceus, Leon was here to help them. He's so nice, helpful and always there for others. Everytime i look at him, my heart races, my tail would either stand straight up or swing in excitement. I can't help but get lost in thought. (He's just sitting there, maybe I should join him. If I lay on his lap, would he pet me? I really enjoy being pet by him. I feel so warm and fuzzy inside, like I'm on cloud nine. Ok, I'm gonna do it!) I thought to myself as I begin to move towards him. Just as my goal was In reach, Mama Lucario went up to him. "I'm terribly sorry but, could you hold my child for a bit? I have to do some 'things', if you don't mind?"

"Oh it's not a problem. Go do what you need to do." He replies as he's handed her egg to hold, Placing it in his lap. (Oh no...my plan is ruined…) saddened by the missed opportunity, Leon noticed me and my sad look. "Hey, Lily, why don't you come over here. Everything alright, you look lonely." I make my way over to him. Looking up to the young male, then back to the egg, which took my place. I felt a hand on my head, a tiny moan came out of me from him petting me and got my sweet spot behind my right ear. I guess in some way, I got what I wanted. *Purrs* (yay, he's petting me. I love this feeling. Hmm I wonder if sis would like this? Speaking of Sis, where is she?) As I stop my train of thought, I look over to my left to see my Eevee sister, crouching down, ears flat 90 degree, tail swishing madly. If i didn't know better, she might be jealous. I call sis over to me, she inches slowly to us, I could see a faint red crawling on her. When she got close enough, Leon reached out to pet her, I heard her moan too from Leon getting her sweet spot behind her left ear. She must be enjoying this too, I can hear her purring in delight. I noticed Leon laughing at us, most likely caught on to us. I looked at the egg, to think a Pokemon is inside, hopefully the baby will be ok. The egg started to wobble. This spooked all of us. Hope went to go get Mama Lucario and her mate. The egg started to move faster, cracking in some spots, Leon sat the egg on the bed so it would hatch on something soft. A few more seconds passed and a Pokemon burst's through, a tiny blue and black doggo, A Riolu. The baby Pokemon slowly up its eyes, seeing me, sis and Leon. "Rio?" The baby said as it rubs its eyes. Staring at us more before jumping at us "Luuu!" Tackling Leon down and rubbing it's head against him. I stood there looking at the scene, I noticed what gender the Riolu is, she is a female. The parents of the little girl came in, the mother squealed in Delight, while the father took a big long sigh of relief. Mama Lucario called her child to her, the blue doggo jumped off Leon and ran over to her. She introduced herself and introduced Riolu to her new dad. The little fighting type looked sad, I think she thought Leon was her dad. Her mother noticed this by aura and thought of something. "Listen sweetie, I know you thought the young man is your Papa, but actually.." she walks over to Leon. "Would you like to be a big brother figure to her?" It took Leon by surprise and us. He didn't want to upset her nor the kind gesture. "Are you sure about this? I mean we most likely won't be staying long." She just nodded. Ensuring us, even if we leave, we could always come back Any time to visit. We all agreed to, it would be nice to visit. She did have one more question for us. "I'd like to give my daughter a name, what do you think would be a love name for her?" She asked us all. I couldn't think of anything, Hope and Lazuli shrugged their shoulders, Leaving Leon left, still thinking of a name. "Alright, I got a name." We all look to him, waiting to hear the name. "How about… Mitsuki?" We all stood there, wondering what kind of name was that. "It means 'Beautiful Moon' in a language where I'm from."

Everyone pondered on the name. "Yea, I like that. How about it sweetie? Do you like your new name?" The little girl that's being held up in the air by her mother was squirming and cheering in delight of her name. "I'm so glad. Everyone, I believe it's time for dinner. Especially you, sweetie, come I'll give you some milk." The mother walked back against the wall with her newborn, as for the rest of us, we exited the cave to give her some privacy while she's most likely breastfeeding.

Leon busted out the camp gear, setting up the tent, while we set up a fire and taking out some metal objects, a big pit was the last to come out as we placed it next to the fire. Papa goro came back with the bucket of water and Hope came back as well with big sis, along with a bag full of berries. Everything was all set, Leon looked up on how to cook, going on a step by step guide he followed. The smells from the cooking pot became alluring, the scent of fresh cut up Pecha berry along with the aroma of Lemons and diced up tomato berries. I believe I also smell a bit of Lum berry too. "Annnnnd done. Hopefully this came out well, I've never made curry before the human announced as we all gathered around, Mama Lucario joined in soon after. Mitsuki was sleeping peacefully in the cave.

After dinner, we all cleaned up and got ready for bed. Leon found brand new clothes in the bags, but they were a bit too big and baggy for him. Still new clothes, he's not complaining. The loving family went back into their home, as we entered our new tent. Leon has the sleeping bag, Hope has a mini bed for him. Me and sis have this huge fluffy thing called a blanket, with lots of fluff. We all said good night as we drifted off. I on the paw, can't seem to get comfortable again. Ugh it's becoming a nightly thing. I felt something pick me up, I wanted to scream but a finger was placed on my lips. Turning around to see it was Leon picking me up and laying me on his back. "I saw you trying to get comfortable, maybe being up there will help" he said to be before he got comfortable, falling asleep. To be honest, Everytime I sleep with him, I feel safe. *Yawns* Well that's enough talking, time to sleep.

Evo: ugh….so tiring.

Lily: well at least this chapter is done. Now, time for the next one. Thank you everyone for reading this chapter but our adventure isn't over yet, till next ti-eh? *Looks at Lazuli with a shadow ball*
