Chapter 21 Those we miss

:10 days later:

"Alright, Emolga use thunder shock." Her trainer called at, aiming at the shiny opponent named Hope and his trainer Nina. She was timed and confused on what to do. Unable to decide what to do, Hope took action and dodge the attack and counter with his own choice of move, thunderbolt. The attack landed it's mark on the flying type. The move was neither super or not very effective.

"WHAT ARE YOU DOING, NINA!?" Yelled the man who is not only overseeing this battle, but her father as well.

Scalding her time after time on her battle skill being poor and unfit to be a Tempest. The more the high class man disrespect his own daughter, the worse she is hurting. Confidence slowly breaking and the willpower to hold back the tears. Eventually he called off the match and ordered her to stay in her room till dinner. Which is in 8 hours from now. Nina ran straight to it. Not caring anymore about today or about being a trainer. Hope wanted to follow her to cheer the poor girl up. But someone else has another idea in mind for our little guy. Grace picked the Luxio up before he could get away. Telling him that he is coming with her.

"I can't wait for my girl friends to see you." She said, giggling with excitement.

Hope knew he had a very long day ahead. He must endure it like the other days he spent trapped here. The two get ready to head out, the young girl grabs her coat and Hope's ball. It's gonna be a long day indeed.

Hope's PoV

(Ugh, dam it all.) I say to myself as I'm being walked outside the house. I've been stuck here for days now and with no anvil, a way to escape. Before anything like that can happen, I'll need my ball. Without it, they'll continue to catch me. Nina has been supportive in my efforts as well. In her own way, she's trying to find Leon or the Eevee sisters to let them know where we're at. Unfortunately at the moment, I'm her annoying sister's Pokemon for the day. At least I'm being taken out of this place. Although, I do feel bad for my friend. Her dad has been giving her a very hard time with training me and battling. Humans can be so different and difficult to understand. Grace put a collar on me and a leash. I felt embarrassed by the way I'm being treated. I can't stand these people anymore. At least the pokemon here are very friendly. But oddly enough, Emma rarely talks to me. I do notice at times that she watches me at times and brings me candy. If I had to count, about 26 rare candies I was given so my new level is 55. I did stop myself from evolving to my last form for good reasons. I'm not ready at all to grow up yet. I still kept my ever stone with me on my necklace that Lily made me. I did hear the headmaster ordering his daughter to evolve me already for more strength at times. Finally after a short time, we head out to town.

:Some time later, downtown:

Heading to downtown was pretty boring. It's only been my third time being in a car but I hate it still. The first two times were a trip to the Pokemon center for medical examination. They gave him a full report on me. From health to battle estimate. That day the old man laughed and said he got a prize winning electric type for the family. I did want to shock him for that. To them I'm nothing but a tool. I can see why Lazuli hates them. I wonder how everyone is these days. Leon did mention in his message he's gonna do his best to track me down and rescue me. He regrets ever giving me up but realizes that if he didn't, the girls will be taken away somewhere and he would be locked up somewhere, never to be seen again. When you think about it, it might have been best this way. At least he is determined to save me in some way.

"We're here, Hope. Let's go." Grace said to me with excitement.

The vehicle stopped before a small building with a big sign on it with a Pikachu and Munchlax wearing outfits and holding food. A café of sorts. Food, drinks, and pokemon are the servers and maids that walk around. The smells from this place is like heaven with all the delicious food being made. Still, whenever Leon cooks it smells good and tasty. My temporary master's friends are waiting for her Infront of the door to this restaurant. Telling me to come with her inside along with her friends who are now all over me. I like being pet on the head but too much touching. These three female humans won't stop rubbing my head, back, legs, stomach and one of their hands grazed my sensitive area. Making me jump and spark electricity around my fur, giving them a warning they have gone too far. But it didn't stop the constant loving I'm receiving and being called cute. (Ugh...stop) I thought to myself in distress.

As we walked in, I took in the scenery. A small cafe that's half indoors and outdoors. A place where both humans and pokemon can come and enjoy themselves. Lots of plants hanging from above, walls are covered in pictures and trophies. Gold and Silver pokeball stands, medals and ribbons. Most likely the owner here was some sort of Champion. I looked at one of the pictures behind the glass to see a male Machamp and his male trainer? Pretty sure they look male but why are they wearing dresses. That's a manly fighting type if he's able to pull off that even shiny galaxy like color dress with those bracelets and necklaces. Is that legal to fight with them on? There's a second team next to them holding a Silver trophy. An old male human and a…

Me: "PFFFFFFFFF, MAMA LUCARIO!?"

Yup, no doubt about that angry face. This must have been her early days of being a champion. From the looks of this, she must be pissed off for second place. So this is the reason why she trains so much, a rival to beat. More photos of the two are all around. Some have the aura fighter as the winner, some have it to where the fabulous Machamp is the victor teasing the shorter pokemon. The more I look, the funnier it gets between these two.

"Ah the memories of deer Lucarie. We never did settled the score of 99 to 99." A voice said to me from behind.

I turned around slowly to only find a tall pokemon, dressed in a maid outfit, with too much red lipstick and had four arms. This fighting type is the same pokemon in the pictures, Machamp. Just like in the pictures, this pokemon is a Male in female human clothes. Why is he wearing them? Maybe his mean trainer did this to him. I had to ask why he's pretending to be a female. The only answer I got was the fighting type bursting with laughter. His strong hand was placed on my back and bent down before speaking.

"Yes, I am a Male but I prefer to be known as a female. My name is Lucy, but everyone here calls me Madam Lu." He, or she, said as the fighting type bowed.

This must be a city thing. So weird that a pokemon wants to be known as something it's not. I think I'll just call it a her, just to be on the safe side. I told her I did know the Lucario in the pictures and how she trained me to be a better fighter. Madam just giggled as I told the stories of all the punishments I had for failing. Our little talk was short lived as I was called over by my temporary master. We bid farewell to each as I walked over to join the human girls. Getting up onto my seat, I started to look around the place more. The staff here is mostly Pokemon carrying food and drinks to customers. All of them seem to be wearing some sort of outfit of either a red apron or scarf with a hat. Pokemon here include a Kirlia, Flaaffy, Munchlax, and even a Lilligant. Taking orders and serving food to everyone. I overheard some of the people behind us saying that the cutest pokemon of all is on her way over. Grace pulled a menu over to me and told me she's ordering a chocolate sundae with a whip cream art to look like a sphinx. In all honesty, She isn't such a bad human. Although there is a competitive to her that tends to go overboard.

"Is everyone ready to order?" A cute, calming and yet familiar voice said to us.

"Oh my gosh! It is true what they said about this place. A talking Eevee!" One of the girls at the table with us said as she pulled out her phone to take pictures.

(Talking eevee? And this voice? It can't be..) I say to myself as I slowly turn to my right. I couldn't believe my eyes. They started to water as, for the first time in several days, to see a familiar face after so long of being gone.

"Yes, I am able to talk and my name… is…" The young female stopped at the sight of seeing me. Just like me, those beautiful green eyes filled with tears. Ears folded down and tail swishing around. "HOPE, YOU'RE OK!!" The vixen yelled out while jumping into my chest, tackling me down on the booth seat.

To think, of all the places to reunite with a dear friend I missed so much, was here in this lovely cafe. I wrapped my paws around the eevee in a cute outfit and let my tears run wild. Grace and her friends were shocked to see these turn of events unfold in front of them. Gossip between them to figure out how we knew each other. While my master for the day questions me about the eevee and my connection to her. I simply ignored her, I didn't want to think about anything else but to hold someone I care alot for. Because we're making a scene, Madam Lu came around to see what is all the commotion. Picking the waitress up, telling her to go on break in the back room along with me for some alone time. I wasted no time in following my friend with her. I could hear Grace yelling my name to come back to her. Luckily the fighting type took control of that and offered free mini cakes. That put a stop to her ranting.

We both made it to the employee only room in the back. The room is plain with a small table, a couple of chairs, a small couch and a TV to watch. I awkwardly wandered over to the couch to set. Looking over my shoulder to see the female I had a crush on trying so hard to reach something high. Eventually she got what she was after. I know I shouldn't stare at her but I can't help how adorable she looks in that hat and scarf. I could feel a slight blush coming to me. Finally, the normal type turned to bring me a drink of water and a small cake on a tray that's perfectly balanced on her head. Placing it gently in front of me then bowing.

"Oh umm Thank you so much. I'm surprised you carried that so effortlessly. I thought it would fall over. Hehe" I say to her nervously. What was I thinking? I'm a nervous wreck for no reason.

"Well, it did take some time to get used to it and I did fail a lot. But honestly, I'm very happy to see you are ok, Hope. We missed you deeply and not a day goes by without thinking of you." She says to me giggling and climbing up to sit close to me on the sofa.

Like it isn't bad enough I'm shaking but she's so close. What is this, it's almost like we just met or something. "Yea, I never expected to see you here and I'm glad you're doing good, Lily. I missed you and the others so much." I replied back to the eevee laying on her side to get comfortable. I looked away just slightly so I'm not staring or making her feel uncomfortable. While I wasn't looking, Lily got closer and closer to the point she pressed against me. I tried to say something to her about what she's doing but I keep stuttering. "Umm eeh Lily? Wh-what ar-"

"Sorry Hope. It's just I missed you so much and your soft, fuzzy fur. Tehe. The day Leon told us he had to give you away was one of the saddest days in our lives. Just as bad as the day my dad died. It's like losing another family member." The vixen says as she cites me off a bit. Tears started to come back again as she continued to talk. I knew she treats me like a brother she always wanted and it felt warming to know they missed me this much. "I.. I don't want to lose any more people I love and care about! We're gonna rescue you no matter what. Leon said he might have found a way to do so. So please.. please wait a little longer, Hope." She continued as more tears covered the cute face I love so much.

I reached my paw over, wiping those tears away and smiled. Telling my dear friend I will wait for however long I have to for them. All this talk has brought up some things in mind. Like how everyone is doing and what's been going on. We both sat up and faced each to talk. Although we did get interrupted by a few co-workers that just came in here for their break. Both females, Kirlia and Pikachu, and they seem to like to tease Lily for fun but never mean harm. I was taken by the paw, heading to the exit. Her face puffed up in annoyance. Told them to let Madam know that she's going for a short walk. Both girls giggled and joked about having a good time with her boyfriend. Assuming they were referring to me. Hearing that made my blush more noticeable.

As we left the building, Lily directed us right into a market plaza full of fruit vendors and other sellable objects. The stands were filled with color and eye catching displays. Lots of fresh fruit that could be used for cooking or just to snack on. We only got about fifteen minutes before she had to go back. Flying pokemon soar above, water types playing in the fountain. I rarely am allowed out of my home prison. This would be the second time I'm actually out of that place. A question kept going through my mind that I just had to ask.

"How are things with you and Leon?" I asked curiously. Probably because I have nothing in mind to talk about and the quietness is a bit awkward. She didn't say anything. Those cute fluffy ears of hers that's always pointed up, fold down behind her and that cheery smile disappears.

"We.. umm..Haven't been doing so good lately." She says with a sorrow tone. Hopping up onto a bench we came across to sit. I slowly joined her, putting a paw on her shoulder.

"Did something happen between you two? I thought you guys were great for each other." I replied back, hoping to make her feel better. She led over and laid on my shoulder before speaking.

"Mhm No, nothing like that. What's going on is Sis." Sighing in distress and a bit of frustration. She further explains that Lazuli has become more clingy, always seem to be with them and around Leon more often. Whether it's a romantic dinner for just the two, she'll randomly find them and join, watching movies, or even when they try to sleep together she would be between them.

"That sounds rough. I'm sorry." Rubbing her back, trying to comfort her. It seems to be working due to her cheerful smile starting to return. Unfortunately, our time is close to an end. Unusually, Lily requested me to carry her back. I saw nothing wrong with it, so I let her hop on. The fluffy eevee laid flat and hugged my neck tight enough to hold on to me. About halfway there, I could hear the young female hum something. Couldn't help but find it cute. I suddenly felt a tap on my side from her. Probably to tell me more.

"About sis, she's in love with Leon too. The problem is, because she's in love, Leon isn't sure about dating her as well. For us pokemon, it isn't uncommon for us to have multiple mates but it's different with humans. They believe that it's wrong to have more than one mate. I have talked about this with him and his feelings on the matter is conflicted." She says to me as I try to puzzle all this together. In short, humans are weird. If I'm being honest to myself, I'm jealous of Leon. He has two in love with him and I have no luck with females.

(This sucks…) Thinking to myself. We eventually made it back to the cafe where Lily works. Although it looks like there's some trouble about to happen. Madam Lu is out front the door, stopping three suspicious people. All wearing ripped black clothes and white pants and hats. One male in the back and two females. The girls were yelling so loud, we could hear what they were demanding.

"We're here for the talking Eevees that work here, Yo." Girl number one said followed up by the second one threatening to ruin the cafe.

What horrible humans. They're not only after Lily and other eevee, but going on saying they will attack if they don't get what they're after. I'm gonna put a stop to this. Gotta vent these unsure feelings inside me somehow. I let my friend down before confronting the problem. Stretching my paws just to loosen my body up for possibly a big fight. With all set in done, I march forward ready to battle. But I didn't get far, I was pulled back and sat down. "Lily, What's wrong? I can handle these guys for you."

"I believe you can, but don't worry about it. This has become a daily thing for me and sis. These guys just won't quit. I'm not the same weak girl you remember a week or so ago. I've been training too." She said to me with a wink.

The normal type looked so cute and her confidence in herself, you couldn't even tell it was the same female I admire. The vixen reached into her chest fur to pull out a familiar object, a phone. Not just any, it's Leon's. So this is how the humans were able to understand them. The phone can translate pokemon language to humans. Bet that's how this all started. She asked if I would

play a random song for her to battle as she put the red hat and scarf she had on. I randomly looked through and found something. Didn't have much time to look. The group finally noticed us and waited no time to throw out two pokeballs. The pokemon that were in them are both poison types, Ivysaur and Roserade. Both looked really strong. The phone went off on it's own when those two came out. The screen shows a picture of them and estimated power. Ivysaur is 57 and Roserade is 59. I honestly believe I need to help her. It's two v one. I tried to step in to help, but she gently pushed me back. Asking why she won't let me join. "Hope, I know you want to help but seriously, I got this. Just watch" She reinsures me before looking back. Just as soon as she turned, the vixen jumped imminently up in the air to avoid a sludge bomb, followed up by using Iron tail to cut Ivysaur's Razor leaf. Lily lands gracefully on top of a rock pillar that's covered in advertisements and posters. that's some jump she did. Wonder what kind of training she did. Glancing over to the fighting type in a dress and asked a question.

"Madam Lu, can I please take off my training weights?" She asked politely.

I thought to myself. (Training weights? She had them on? I didn't notice anything on her but some bracelets.) Looking over to the Machamp who gave a big thumbs up and said to go all out. The vixen giggled before fiddling around with the four bracelets she had on each of her fuzzy limbs. With all four in front paws, she dropped them on purpose down to the ground. How were training weights gonna change anything but her mobility that was slightly slowed? Although she was walking around and jumped like they didn't even exist. The weights finally hit the ground, followed by the sound of the force of lightning hitting it. The weights crushed the ground around the tiny objects and left a small crater the size of a curled up Ursaring in its wake. I was completely dumb panned.

"The hell just happened!? Those things weighed that much!?" I yelled out in shock and disbelief. That little pokemon wore that much weight and wasn't even fazed? This is something that Mama Lucario would have done to us.

"Well, Hope, if you must know. Each of the four bracelets weighed about 16.25 Kilograms each. I started to wear them 8 days ago. And boy, it feels soooooo~ goood~ to have them off." She cries out in joy and stretches her body. Hopping down from the rock to get in position to start the battle.

The fluffy female gives me a smile and nod. Guess that's my cue to hit play. The song I randomly picked was 'Spark Mandrill remix'. I have no idea what this is. It starts out the up beat guitar play, followed by some drums. After a minute into the song I said out loud without realizing it. "Yo, this song is really good."

The opponents wasted no more time and fired away with a double sludge bomb attack. Both sides are cut off from the way they aimed it and the rock behind also blocks a way out. But that didn't stop her. Bolting forward with immense speed, quick attack more likely she's using. The phone pulled up Lily's information. Under her moves, she doesn't have that. No way, she's just that incredibly fast. Was it because of the weights she endured. Quickly she used Iron tail on both targets. Dashing around to hit them with a Double kick. I knew she didn't have that before, her sister had that. They collided with each other and fell on their knees. Everything happened so fast, I couldn't keep up. Looking around to see Lily vanished. Everyone but Madam was searching for the normal type that mysteriously disappeared. A few seconds later, the ground beneath the two poison types collapsed and burst through the earth was the missing pokemon upper cuttings her foes, sending them flying and knocking them out. That's right, she knew Dig, a ground type move that's super effective against them. Lily has become stronger. Far stronger than I did. Looking back to her stat chart on the phone, I noticed the power level of hers. The pokemon in front of me and best friend is level 67! In only 10 days, she's this strong?! Things started to click in my mind. Asking the Machamp if she could take the weights off, that same pokemon is a champion and not only that but a rival to our master Mama Lucario. Madam Lu was training her in every way possible. The two human females called back they're defeated pokemon and begged the third person with them to help. Seems like he was annoyed by the whole thing and lazily threw a black pokeball up in the air. Bursting open to let out a much bigger and intimidating mon, a Charizard. This might be a problem for Lily. His level is 70-72 it estimated and none of her moves would be any use in this type match up.

The fire type's trainer called out to use Flareblitz. The mass of that pokemon is too big for her to dodge without any of the flames hurting her. Without hesitation, Lily punched the ground kicking up a gush of dirt and smoke obstructing the dragon's view. The attack landed at the spot it aimed for and a pillar of fire erupted upon impact. The dust settles down and reveals that there is no body. Only thing that was left was a hole. Just then, the ground behind the flying type broke by an eevee breaking through, also holding a rock that's twice the size of my body. Throwing the boulder aimed for the lizard's head, quickly his master called out Rock smash and demolished it. Lily was so fast, she appeared from behind while the red pokemon was dealing with the division. Using a combination attack with both Iron tail and Double kick to the back of the beast's head. Even though it wasn't a lot of damage done, that defense down the steel-type move gave proved useful. Seems like the both of them had enough. The trainer called out dragon dance. Thanks to that move, Charizard is now faster and stronger. My best friend tried to get some distance between them but he was one step closer. Coming up from behind to land a solid Rock smash right to her side. Launching the poor girl hurling towards the rock pillar. Crushing it on top of her.

"LIIIILY!!!!" I cried out. My heart sank when I witnessed the rocks crushing her to nothing. It is like the planet and time stopped.

Out of nowhere, the ground busted one again and emerged from it was the girl I thought died. Charizard anticipated this and grabbed one of her limbs and slammed her back down to ground. He repeated this a couple more times. Each of those slams done with her body made an imprint of an eevee on the floor. She must be in excruciating pain. My eyes started to water as I continued to watch my friend take a huge beating. Using up what strength the vixen had and used Iron tail again on his hand, releasing his grip. Now that she has a small breather, Lily reached into her chest fur and pulled out a berry I never seen before and ate it. Standing back on her own four paw, the fire returned in her eyes. Eevee charged at full speed towards her foe.

Charizard took in a deep breath to unleash a mighty flamethrower attack. Dashing from rock to rock avoiding the attack. Finally she got close enough range for whatever she had planned. Light circulated around larger pokemon's claw. Throwing another Rock smash. This time narrowly dodged underneath. Stars formed around the female's body. This was her last attack that could only be used after using three other movers first.

"Last resort!!" Lily yelled out. Bolting straight at his stomach.

Sending him flying, crashing into several objects. As things settle down, it is clear what happened. Charizard was no longer moving, Lily won the fight. I raced over to catch the worn out winner before she collapsed. Madam came over to and applied medicine from a green container. Even though the battles ended, it didn't stop the male human himself from picking up a random weapon and attempted to hit the weakened pokemon. Getting in between him and Lily, I shot a Thunderbolt to stop him for good. The thug backed off and booked it along with the others. We all heard cheering from the cafe behind us. They all watched the battle and cheered for Lily on her victory. Madam Lu told me she's gonna carry her to the main part of the building where she and her master live. It will take some time to heal her wounds. It is possible she might have a fracture or something to her bones. Hopefully everything will be ok for my dear friend as I return her belongings. The hat and scarf that is.

Finally returning to my seat next to Grace and her friends who showered me with questions about the Eevee and the battle that just happened. This is too much. I don't want to be here, I need to be by my injured friend. But I'll just leave it to Madam Lu. These girls are still pestering me about everything that happened. Taking a big breath and sighing loudly

"So annoying. It's not like you'll understand what I'm saying away." speaking knowing full well they wouldn't understand me… or at least I thought till I realized I still have the phone.

The girls were shocked. By both my rude comment about them being annoying and hearing me speak. Now they're even more annoying by shaking and tickling me to spill the secrets on why they can understand my language. Putting the phone which is the reason why they can understand me. Grace went to pick it up but I shot a small jolt of electricity and growled furiously.

"Back off, Grace. I don't care who you think you are but no one, under any circumstances is allowed to touch my best friend's phone." I said with anger and frustration.

Seems like she got the message. Backing off and her friends too. Things were awkwardly silent for a few minutes until our food came. Now that I'm calmer, I started to talk about the eevee and my best friend. They just sit there in amaze to everything I'm saying. One of them felt sorry, giving me a pat on the head. Grace still stayed quiet. I wasn't gonna tell them much about the phone, other than it's my best friend's and it allowed him to understand us for awhile. Grace's friends opened up more just to say how cool it can do something like that. After we finished eating, it was time we all headed home. I was about to go find Madam before I left to return the phone Lily had. Instead I was pulled to the side into the female's restroom with my temporary master. Why does being in here feel so uncomfortable? She embraced me without warning.

"Hope… I have two things to ask you. One, were you the same little Shinx we tried to capture back on that island and Do you even like me?" She asked nervously.

"Well, yea I was the same shinx that day with the eevee sisters. And if I like you… you're ok. You're not bad or mean to me, just annoying." I replied back with a confused look.

I heard a small ok coming from her as I left the room to go return the phone. I put a small recording message for everyone to know I'm doing good and everything that has happened to me. Also mentioning about Nina taking care of me for the time being. This should help him out in some way. Lily did mention he is working on something to help free me so more waiting is to come. After leaving the room, madam was standing by the door of the restrooms. I heard under her breath she called me a pervert for being in there. My face lit up. Handing over the device and bidding farewell. The young girl I was with finally came back and carried me into the car. Riding back to Nina's home felt disappointing. Mostly because I couldn't say goodbye to a dear friend. I saw a red and white vehicle with a plus symbol on it, arrived when we left. That made me worry more about Lily. I hope she'll be ok.

Leon's PoV

I rushed to the hospital as soon as I heard what happened. Lazuli was on my back, hanging on to dear life for how fast I'm going on my bike. The owner of the cafe told me everything that happened. Those damn bastards from team skull again. When I find out which one of them did this much damage to my sweetheart, I'll make them regret every being alive on this island. Lazuli feels the same way and gladly help me get revenge. We arrived at the building and we were greeted by Madam Lu. She held out my phone and told me how my love was doing. They did a xray and found nothing serious, just a small fracture in her ribs. A pokemon in there is using heal pulse to heal it and repair the damage. It would be like it was never there. I am thankful nothing serious happened to her. Wasting no more time, we went in to go see her. Miss Lu said something before we went.

"That little friend of yours was truly cute. He misses you three. Tell her she has the next 3 days off from work. Lazuli dear,you just got 3 extra days." The fighting type said before taking off.

The eevee on my shoulders groaned at that. But the first part did get me. It couldn't be but maybe it was. I'll worry about it later. A few moments later, we're finally allowed to see her. Entering the room that she is listed to, we can see the fluff ball with some bandages. Sleeping so peacefully, so adorable. Her sister jumps into bed with her to snuggle as close as possible. Since I'm clearly bigger than them, I just pulled up a chair close to the bed and played my chest down on it. Petting the cute female gently. What I thought was ok to do, the big sister said no and smacked my hand. Tail swishing around in annoyance. I forgot how overprotective she can be with her. Eevees make the cutest sounds when they hiss. Suddenly the injury pokemon woke up and stretched a bit. We surprised her with loving hugs and kisses. She giggled the whole time we showered her with love.

"Ok ok, I love you guys too." She said as she tries to push us back.

"You had us worried, Sis. What if something happens to you? Then I would have no love rival." Lazuli said while burying her face in Lily's chest fur. Both me and Lily said nothing but had blank stares to that.

"Yea anyway, I got scared something terrible has happened to you, love. The doc's say that everything is ok and you'll be able to get out of here by tomorrow morning. They just need to study you overnight to be safe." I tell her as I rub her favorite spot behind the ear and kissing her head. I can hear the vixen purr in everything I do to her. The more love I'm giving, the more her purring gets louder. Once again, I was smacked by the jealous fox for not giving her any love. This has become normal for us three. I already know from what Lily said about Lazuli's feelings and even Lazuli herself confessed. We did have a conversation about this and how I don't know about dating her too since I'm already with Lily. She has told me that it's ok and it isn't uncommon something like this happens. I'm not a pokemon but a human. Things are different between species. On one hand, it would make everyone happy and the love and bond we all share will grow more. But on the other, humans will look down on something like this. Calling it wrong, inhumane or even taboo to have more than one girlfriend.

(Ugh, Why couldn't I just turn into a pokemon?) Thinking to myself in stress of mix feelings about what's right or wrong.

The hospital said it's ok to stay the night and my boss said I can take the day off to care for someone dear to me. I don't believe I told him it was a pokemon though. Probably fine. The nurses here gave us two spare pillows and an extra blanket. Lily carefully moved over to snuggle up in my arms, so did the jealous sister. I had to be in the middle of the two every night. If I didn't, it would cause some problems between us three. Each of us found that one spot to get comfortable to fall asleep. The thought of sleeping in a hospital bed was discomforting to say the least. Nobody likes sleeping in a hospital at all. But I have two of the most wonderful things that happened in my new life. I am happy and overjoyed to have them in my life. My eyes are becoming heavy. I can rest easy knowing they are by my side.

:Inside the dream:

"...Where….am i?" Speaking out loud. Wherever I seem to be, it ain't Kansas anymore. So bizarre. I'm just floating in this white and light pink space full of clouds. No wind, water, or earth. Just completely nothingness. I try to recall the chain of events. Was working at the docks till my boss got a call from the cafe that Lily was working today. Lily went to the hospital and I rushed

over to her side as fast as I could. Then I fell asleep with both girls in my arms in the hospital bed. "So, by that logic, I must be in a dream where I am self aware of."

"My my, you are correct about that, my darling little toy. In fact, this is the self consciousness of your mind." A strange voice called out to me.

This unheard of voice that came out of nowhere startled me to no end. Especially that toy part. That gave me chills. Looking around to find the source of who ever said that. Clouds in front of me departed from each to reveal something unusual. A Japanese style floor with a small table in the middle and a couple of mini pillows you sit on. That's an odd thing to see. It feels like my body was floating towards it. Approaching the mysterious vision I'm seeing, more clouds parts to reveal someone is already sitting at the table drinking tea. A tall gentleman, wearing a white suit and pants with pink lining around the collar and folds of the suit, about 5.7. in height , gorgeous silver hair with pink tip highlights, rose colored earrings, and those seductive crimson red eyes…. Wait.

"OH GOD, IT'S A PRETTY BOY!!" I yelled out in shock to how easily I let my guard down to how attractive this dude is.

"Oh my, That's very flattering of you to say." The suited young man said giggling in amusement. This guy is extremely dangerous. I better watch myself before I end up in bed with him. But who or why is he here and what is this place? This person knows something.

"Ehehm, I do believe interdictions are in order. No need for you to tell me who you are, Mr. Leon the playboy." He says as he stares me down.

"Could you like, not!? And how do you know who I am?" I retaliated to that last thing he said and asked.

"Oh, don't be like that, my kitten. It was only a jest to lighten up the room." The gentleman said with one the most annoying smiles I ever seen. And what's with the random gay nicknames?! Standing up to bow towards me to possibly introduce himself. "Forgive my last interdiction. I got caught up in the joyous moment of talking with you face to face after such a long time has passed. My name is Arcues Von Regional. Please, call me Arc." Lifting his head and giving off a smile that melts your heart. This is too much.

"Wait, Arc!? You're the pervert who keeps sending those hintful messages but great advice. That Arc!?" Spitting out the tea I was drinking while he was bowing, raising my tone.

"How rude. I'd like to think of them as 'passionate love notes" he replies back as his cheeks puffed up .

(I think I'm gonna hurl.)

"Now listen up, I am here to check up on you and allllll the little things that's been happening lately. It doesn't take a god to know how stressed out your life has become thanks to a series of recent events going on in just 11 days. The trouble of the matter seems to be affecting not only your judgment, but the loved ones around you are also affected." He explains to me while brewing more green tea for us.

I stayed silent. Knowing full well what he means. I can see where this may be going and it's probably something I need to do.

"So, kitten, let's recap. If I had to say, the start of all this building up inside is when you and that adorable little boy, Hope, fought and killed that mightyena. Even though it was fully justified in every way, humans did not believe that it was so and took advantage of it. Forcing you to give up one best friend's life in exchange for saving three lives. You, Lazuli and the love of your life Lily. That was only the beginning, things took worse when guilt of giving him away, good intentions or not, weighed too heavy on your mind. The second problem is dealing with is. How are you, who is just one man, finding a way to save your bestfriend from what seems to be impossible due to your target being a very powerful human? Not in strength but in human affairs. One wrong move will ruin everyone's lives further. The third being a love triangle. Both dearies love you with all their heart, but the fact that you fear people will shun and attack you for the scum you are or making out to be just another--"

"STOP IT!!" I yelled out in anger and frustration. All he's doing is bringing everything that's been on my mind and it's hurting me inside. Arc stopped and pulled back.

"Perhaps it's best to take care of the problems one by one instead of all in one shot. Oh well, it appears your stress level is far too high to continue anyway so the connection between us will be severing soon. I did enjoy our little chat and will see you again when I summon you to your self consciousness again. TTFN love." The flamboyant pokemon said to me as everything around me started to vanish.

:Back in bed:

My eyes shot open. Looking around to see that I'm back at the hospital. Was it really just a dream? It felt so real. A vibration in my pants went off. Taking it out slowly to see that a new text came from Arc. Like always, another hintful message and a reminder of the next time we'll see each other. Well, that solves that question. I realized I don't feel any fluff on me on either sides. Looking over to my right, in the moonlight, I can see those beautiful brown coats of fur. It's the sisters looking out the window, I can hear what they're talking about. Doesn't look like they noticed I woke up. Those two, always together huh. I would be lying if I said I wasn't attracted to Lazuli as well. Those pretty brown eyes of hers always look so sad and lonely. If I had to guess, from all the clinginess and jealousy, all she ever wanted was someone other than her sister to love her for herself. I understand that feeling of wanting to be loved. But I just can't break up with Lily for something like that. Not to mention I am still not sure about being with both of them. I do love both of them. Why is this so hard?

"Hey, big sis, you seem a bit stressed out. Would you tell me why." I heard Lily say to Lazuli, whose ears are down.

"It's nothing, really." She said, trying to play it off.

"Is it about you wanting Leon to accept you as a mate too?" That hit its mark. Lazuli started to rub her arms and lowering her head.

"Mmm...yea… I'm sorry. I know he's your mate but I just can't hold back anymore. This feeling in my chest keeps growing and everytime he touches me, the love he gives and the kindness he shows... I... I..." Lazuli says back to her sis. Tears gently rolled down her adorable face. Whimpering in sadness. The two of them hugged for comfort.

(Lazuli… Did I do this to you? To make you feel so sad..?) I thought to myself. Weighing the options in my head. Maybe I should've let Arc continue to talk to me without flipping out on him. He was only trying to help. Perhaps he had advice about something like this. Maybe, I can do this. Quietly getting up and grabbed the sad eevee and pulled her to my chest. The sudden action spooked her to where she froze. Took the little one a second to look up to see it was me.

"L-Leon!? Wh-" Trying to speak but the words wouldn't come out. A small blush came to her lovely cheeks.

"I'm sorry you feel that way, Lazuli. Guess it was my fault in more ways than one. I should've taken to how you felt more." I say while rubbing the back of her head. Lazuli stayed quiet and listened to what I have to say. Adjusting to get comfortable. "I want to tell you that I will consider, maybe, asking you out too. If that's ok with you and Lily. She tried her best to convince me it's ok if the three of us are dating. Even though being a human is complicated when it comes to dating." The more I go on, the bigger the once lonely girl's eyes grow with hope. The blush grew brighter and tail swishing in joy.

"You.. you mean it!? You'll think it over!?" She anxiously asked. Getting closer to my face to where we're eye to eye. I can feel my heart racing like it does when me and Lily are together. Glancing over to see my love with a happy and joyful smile.

"Yea, I do mean it, but I wan-Mmm!?" I was cut off by her kissing me. Probably too excited to contain herself any longer. I feel backwards back onto the bed with our lips still linked by our passionate kiss. We broke free to take a breather. "Lazuli, I wasn't finished talking. I was going to say I wanted to see if we can take things slow to see how it will work out."

"I know. But the thought of you accepting me, made me very happy that I couldn't stop myself. I hope you would be able to love me just like sis, someday. And even if it doesn't work out. At least it would make some loving memories and we will always be great friends." Replying to me. I

haven't seen her happy like this before. It does warm my heart to know I might be doing the right thing. Both of us heard some coughing from behind. Lily was just waving to us as if we forgot about her. I reached my arms out to pick her up gently in fear of the wounds might come back. Looks like she has a small jealous side too, begged for a kiss by extending her lips out. How could I refuse that from the girl who saved me from the darkness in my heart when I felt nothing in life? We all snuggled back into our spots and said good night. These two wasted no time in trying to fall asleep. I, on the other hand, couldn't even close my eyes. A feeling rushed into me after everything that was said and done. Was it guilt? Fear? The unknown? Or even regrets? This is why being a human is so hard. The fact that you never know what's truly right, until it is done. I texted Arc if it's possible to see him tomorrow night to ask about all this. Maybe that will clarify what I'm feeling or holding back. Hopefully it's not too late or did I already set up false hope and happiness for someone that didn't deserve to be tricked or led on only to end up screwed. Although, I do feel like I was forgetting something. Something very important. Eh, I'll figure it out in the morning. I felt something pressed against me like I was being poked to get my attention. Looking to my left to Lily with those lovely green eyes.

"Would you sing us a soft song? Something to help us sleep." She quietly asks, giving me the cutest look. How could I say no to that adorable face. Thinking of what song could work and thought of 'that' one.

Looking inside the sound, Walk in the fog and rot away, Loving you in the-

"She asked for a soft song that would give us sweet dreams, not a nightmare." The other female said in an annoyed tone to the one song that scarred them for life. I could softly hear Lily whimpering because she remembered full well what this song did to me.

"...oops, I'm sorry girls." I said with guilt. I'll make it up to them in the morning.

Evo: *plays the saxophone* This is Evo and I'm back. I've been away for awhile and I'm back to kick some butt in my story. *stares are Hope*

Hope: ...The hell are you singing?

Evo: hehe if you don't get it, then you haven't played the game. Yes, I'm back and hopefully more often. Things were getting horrible for me. People at work kept quitting, making my job harder and more stressful, covid quarantine, got into FF14 online, Monster hunter rise and worst of all lack of inspiration on both stories. Yea I am to blame for that but now I got my rhythm back, hopefully for good. Thought I abandoned this? No, all stories need an ending, I'll write to the bitter end. I am trying to figure out if I wanna use a mini lemon just for a set up but unsure though. Well, till next time. *waves
