Sorry for the delay, life and my muses for this story and Make You Stay kind of disappeared, and Undeniable Feelings has gotten all of my attention. You guys are enjoying this story and I still have plenty ideas for Rizzles' coming of age for your entertainment. And thanks for the reviews I've been receiving lately it helped me along to finish this chapter.
The girls laid in bed together after their union, they talked until they ended up falling asleep in each other's arms. Jane got woken up in the morning by a knocking on Maura's bedroom door.
"Maura. Who is that knocking?" Jane grumbled.
"I don't know, but maybe if we don't answer." Maura sighed, pulling the covers over her head.
"Maura! Are you awake?" Garrett Fairfield's voice was heard, causing Maura to jump out of bed, putting on her clothes.
"What are you doing here?" Maura asked as she threw Jane's clothes at her waiting for her to be decent before she opened the door.
"Um your parents had to run some errands and wanted me to make sure you got to school okay..." he stopped, noticing Jane shuffling in the bedroom. "Oh well... they didn't tell me Jane was here."
"I don't think they knew Jane stayed the night. I didn't really tell them... we had other things in mind."
"Yeah well I'm surprised I didn't know, considering that I was downstairs sleeping on the couch."
"Weren't you with Bridgett?" Maura asked and Garrett sighed.
"Well I was until her dad walked in on us... um, yeah, he sort of threatened to kill me if I didn't leave the house in a minute. I never had to leave a house that quick before. So why is Jane here exactly?"
"That's on a need to know basis, and you don't need to know," Jane finally spoke up, she had to text her mother that she was okay and safe at Maura's because she didn't want to worry her mother more than she already had with five missed phone calls, two voice messages. "I really need to get going though. Worried mother and all that."
"I can drive you to school Jane, just tell your mom you stayed at Maura's guest room and problem solved."
"Actually you can drive me to my house then it's not too far past the school, I want to see my mother this morning."
"Suit yourself there, I'll let you girls finish getting ready, I'll be in the car and we can go pick up some breakfast too." Garrett offered them both a nod before closing the door behind him.
"I hope that your mother is doing okay Jane." Maura rested her hand on Jane's arm.
"I just hope that asshole isn't still there," Jane rolled her eyes. "I don't know what I'd do if he still was."
"It's going to be alright Jane."
"I surely hope so Maura," Jane fiddled with the promise ring on her finger, before she finished getting ready and they headed downstairs and Jane told Garrett where her house was at. "You know I met Bridgett's father before, he's one scary dude at first, but he sort of likes me, yet I never tried to deflower his daughter."
"Thanks for the boost of confidence. I see that you're wearing a promise ring. I never thought I'd see the day Maura would hand it off to someone."
"Well Jane is very special to me Garrett, and I wanted her to know that."
"Pretty expensive too, according to your parents, you shouldn't just give jewelry out like that, you know," Garrett shook his head.
"And what do you mean by that? You think I won't be able to take care of it." Jane asked, offended at this point.
"I'm just saying, it's expensive. I keep telling Maura she shouldn't give out such expensive gifts. Right Maur?" he focused his attention on his ex.
"You can't put a price on love, and Jane is worth more than this. If she didn't deserve it, I wouldn't have given it to her. It's the thought of the gift and the promise it means. Nobody else was going to be wear it, Jane Rizzoli is the only person who has my heart and I plan to keep it that way," Maura reached over and grabbed Jane's hand in hers. "Right?"
"Exactly, and I absolutely love it and you, I think Garrett's just jealous."
"Probably," Maura laughed causing Garrett to frown.
"Don't make me regret driving the both of you."
"In our defense you started it by saying something idiotic," Maura couldn't help but roll her eyes at her ex.
Soon they pulled up to the Rizzoli household, Jane tensed up seeing her father's car in the driveway. "You guys stay here, I'll be back in a few."
"You sure you don't want me to come with you?"
"I'm sure," she gave her girlfriend a kiss, before leaving the car, Maura turned her attention to Garrett.
"Why must you say stupid things Garrett? You're going to make her think I'm buying her love."
"I'm sorry Maura, it's just, she's not used to dating classy people, she's new to all of this I bet."
"And you're an ass," Maura crossed her arms, looking out the window, hoping things were okay inside.
When Jane entered the house she frowned, her brothers and Frank were all eating breakfast in the dining room, her mother in the kitchen doing the dishes.
"Ma, what is he still doing here?" Jane asked as she grabbed a piece of bacon left on a plate.
"He's your father and he still owns this house, so he's eating breakfast, with his sons and you should go join them."
"I only came home to grab my things, see if you were okay, but I was mistaken you seem to be fine," Jane scoffed, heading upstairs to grab her backpack and came back down.
"Janie, you're going to school already, aren't you hungry?" Frank asked, looking up from the table.
"I had breakfast on the way over, and my ride is waiting for me outside."
Frank nodded, smiling at his daughter, "Well you stay safe and I'll see you when you get home, I still need to help you with your driving."
"Whatever you say Pop." Jane rolled her eyes.
"Stop with the attitude Janie, it's not very lady like. Your brothers are glad I'm back, why can't you be?"
"Because apparently I'm the only one with brains in this family. Have a good day," Jane sighed, leaving the house, slamming the door behind her.
"She'll get over herself Pop," Tommy shrugged, continuing to eat his eggs.
Frank just slumped his shoulders, "I surely hope so son. I made a mistake and I've learned from it."
"Is everything alright Jane?" Maura asked as the girl got back in Garrett's car.
"Apparently so, everyone is acting like normal and that stumps the hell out of me. Let's just get to school, I have to text Frost he doesn't need to come pick me up," Jane pulled out her phone, doing just that before Garrett drove them to school.
"You girls have a good day and sorry for saying some stupid stuff. And if you see Bridgett that I hope she's not in too much trouble."
"Will do, thanks for the ride," Jane got out and Maura followed, smiling at Garrett.
"You are going to pick me up to take me home right? The city bus just doesn't do it for me."
"Yeah, plus I sort of owe you, bye," he gave them a nod before driving off.
"I don't trust him to take you home alone Maura."
"Why because of his comment earlier thinking you don't deserve fine things. Jane I assure you, he's harmless."
Jane groaned, "Fine, I'll believe you, only because I absolutely trust you. He's still your ex."
"Gabriel is yours, but I trust you with him."
"Gabriel Dean seems occupied anyways. I have to worry about him taking my best friend away from me. Speaking of which," Jane sighed as the dark haired boy approached them.
"Good morning Jane," he spoke in his usual tone. "May I borrow your girlfriend for a moment Maura?"
Maura nodded, giving Jane a kiss, "I have to go talk to my teacher about something anyways," she gave Gabriel a nod before leaving inside the building.
"What do you want to talk about Dean?"
"Two things, one after high school I've been thinking about joining the military you know like I always talked about."
"Yeah, you finally decided to go for it?"
"I don't see why not, it's a very noble thing to do."
Jane nodded, "Alright, what's number two that you wanted to discuss?"
"I think you know I want to talk about Barry."
"You like him, don't you?" Jane asked, unsure how she felt about that. She thought Frost could do better, much better, maybe because she dated Gabriel and ended up not being able to stand him a couple of times.
"There's a slight possibility, but Barry is unsure about the whole thing, even though when we talk on the phone it's always pleasant. He's really hurt that you're mad at him by the way."
"He should have been able to tell me about this Gabriel, that's what I don't understand, I am the one person who would understand and he didn't give me a chance to show that. I'm his best friend, it hurts he couldn't tell me. You should understand why I'm upset."
Gabriel sighed, "I wish you wouldn't be upset, he's still trying to figure things out. You have a chance to make things right with him," he nodded towards Frost who had just gotten out of his dad's car. Frost immediately looked down avoiding eye contact with Jane. "Just hear him out, don't be such a tough person all of the time."
"Yeah thanks, thought that was one of my redeeming qualities."
"You wish Rizzoli," Gabriel chuckled patting Jane's arm before going inside.
Frost was about to walk past Jane when she grabbed his arm. "Hey, where are you going?"
"Um to homeroom," he shrugged.
"Why don't you trust me?" Jane asked, crossing her arms after letting him go.
"I do trust you Jane, I wish you could just talk to me about making it this huge thing. I couldn't tell you Jane because I'm still trying to figure it out alright? Why I'm able to react when talking to Gabriel, and why do I feel so good around him? And I'm scared... I'm scared you think less of me, which you do," he frowned, Jane placed her hands on his shoulders.
"I could never think less of you for having issues you're trying to work on, I just want us to always be honest with each other, even if you happen to like my ex. I don't like Gabriel like that and I won't want anyone besides Maura. The past is in the past and if you want to date my ex that's better than you being into my girlfriend."
Frost nodded, "Even if I find Maura very attractive. So much that I had thoughts of kissing her just to see what it would feel like. Thoughts that I'm upset you met her first?"
Jane stepped back looking at her friend in disbelief, "Wait you... Frost what the hell?"
"See you want me to be honest and then you react this way and you wonder why I don't want to open up to you about Gabriel," Frost brushed past Jane. "I'm going to class."
"Hold up Frost, you're upset that I'm mad you're having thoughts about my girlfriend, how else am I supposed to react to that?"
"I don't know Jane, I don't know, but I do think that I should get to class and so should you."
"Okay Frost, see you in gym."
"Yeah okay," he slumped his shoulders and went inside to go find Gabriel.
Jane huffed, going to class before she was late, she didn't wantto add to this day that was already having her go through a lot of emotions.
Jane kept to herself the whole day and headed to gym class early, she wanted to talk to Coach Korsak. He was sitting at his desk, on the phone scribbling some things down.
"Good afternoon Jane, are things going alright?" he asked the girl after hanging up the phone moments later.
"Yeah Coach, things are alright... has my mother spoken to you lately?"
"Not since you seen me and her, you know. Why what's the matter?"
"He came back," Jane frowned, causing Korsak to grimace.
"Oh he did, but why are you telling me this?"
"Because I'm mad. I'm mad my mother wants to act like nothing happened, that she's okay with everything, giving him another chance when he made the biggest mistake, being unfaithful to her for God knows how long. You have to do something Coach, I can't be at home when she's being stupid and his ass is still home," Jane spoke flustered, flinging her hands in frustration.
Korsak listened to her outburst. "Well what do you expect me to do?"
"Anything, please... I can't go on like this. I don't like you two doing things, but if you two want to do that, I'd rather not hear about it. You just have to help, you got involved the moment you decided to kiss my mother."
"Jane, there's nothing that I can do, Angela is old enough to make her own decisions and if she wants to be with that no good asshole then she will do just that. I'm sorry if you're disappointed but that's that," he leaned back in his chair.
"But you agree she's making a huge mistake?"
"Some people have to learn from their own mistakes Jane, the whole point of growing up, learning from things. Class is about to start soon, this conversation is done, alright? I can't get involved with people's personal lives anymore, I'm still trying to work on my own."
Jane frowned, "Fine, but I know you're worried about her, I can see it in your eyes."
"Always the observant one Jane. No more discussing this."
"Okay, just think about it, and that's all I'm going to say about it," she ran her fingers through her hair before going to her desk, just as the other students came filing in.
So hope you had a good time reading, drama seems to be everywhere. Frost and Jane seem to be having a falling out over things like Jane's attitude or is Frost overreacting? Jane still doesn't like Garrett especially after that conversation about Maura trying to buy Jane's love in a way. At least Gabriel is not being so annoying. And Jane is enlisting Korsak in trying to get her mother to stop being so forgiving to Frank. Let's hope my inspiration for this story keeps on coming.
