Thanks for all the support time and time again for this story, it makes me proud that I started this story on a whim. This chapter is kind of tense, just a fair warning.

The school day was over and Jane and Frost were giving each other the silent treatment, even Maura could tell something was wrong and she didn't like this tension between the two friends. Jane scoffed every time Frost said something to her girlfriend.

Maura was sitting on the bleachers with Jane, "So do you care to tell me how things have gotten worse between you and Barry?"

"I'd rather not discuss him, can we just sit here quietly?"

"I don't think it's going to be that much time Jane, Garrett should be here shortly. I do wish that you and Frost could make up, you two have been friends since forever."

Jane sighed, "I know that I just can't be around him right now. I don't like him talking to you."

"Why not?"

"He likes you Maura..."

Maura looked at her girlfriend in disbelief, "Is this what that is all about? Jane it shouldn't matter if he likes me or not, I'm not going anywhere. It's you and me, alright? I swear on it."

"I know you're not going anywhere I just don't like knowing he's attracted to you, is that so wrong of me to not want him around you. I love Frost like he's my brother but I'm not sure if I trust him and his hormones right now."

"I still think it's a little harsh you not being friends with him just because of these teenage hormones."

"Can we not talk about it anymore right now, please?"

"Okay Jane, Garrett's car is pulling up. I'll see you after the weekend since we didn't make plans."

Jane frowned, "Yeah, okay I'll miss you."

"I'll miss you too Jane, I hope that you're in a better mood later," Maura gave Jane a kiss who kissed back for a moment.

"Bye," she sighed pulling away and watching Maura walk off and get into Garrett's car, she felt relieved when she seen Bridgett join them in the car. She was glad to know Maura wouldn't be left alone with him.

Once they were out of sight Tommy and Frankie came to sit next to their sister. "Hey Janie, Pop said he's coming to pick us up today, mind if we wait here with you?" Tommy asked and Jane shrugged.

'If you want to, I really don't care."

"What's your problem today Jane?" Frankie asked, confused of why she seemed so angry.

"What's my problem? Pop acting like he can just come home and Ma acting like nothing happened, bringing him back into her life. You two not giving two shits of how bad he treated Ma."

"He does care Jane, that's why he came back, to prove himself," Tommy frowned.

"Well I don't buy this nice act he's pulling, but you three seem not to give two fucks. Not me, I don't care if he's our dad, he sucks." Jane crossed her arms.

"That's just your opinion."

"I'd rather walk home then be in a car with him, let him know I didn't want to wait up." Jane rolled her eyes and got up from the bench with her bag before she left the school she spotted Coach Korsak heading towards his car. She walked over to him. "Hey Coach, mind giving me a ride?"

"Isn't your father picking you up?"

"Even if he is I don't want to be in a car with him, let alone have him at my house. Plus knowing him I'd be here all night. Please take me home?"

Coach Korsak nodded, "Get in Rizzoli."

"Thanks," Jane threw her bag into the backseat before going to sit down. Korsak started up the car and drove to the Rizzoli house. The ride was short and spent in silence, Korsak pulled up into the driveway. Jane spotted her parents arguing on the porch steps, Frank had a set of keys in his hands and Angela was trying to take them away from him. Jane could tell by the yelling and slurred voice of her dad that he had been drinking.

"Are you going to be okay Jane?"

"I'm not sure, wait here please?"

"Yeah sure," he nodded. Jane got out of the car and approached her parents who just noticed her presence.

"Hey Janie, tell your mother she's being paranoid, I'm not that drunk. I can safely come get your brothers at the school."

"You can't even stand up straight Pop," she shook her head.

"Wait a minute how'd you get home?"

"Coach Korsak gave me a ride, and he's sober. Why don't you go inside and he can go get them?" Jane suggested which made him angry.

"I am capable of getting my own kids Jane."

"Please Pop, just go inside and lay down. You don't want to get them in this condition, what if something happens and you and my brothers don't make it home? Is that what you want?"

Frank looked down at his daughter who had her arms crossed, glaring at him. Frank's face fell. "No, that's not what I want."

"Good so go inside and lay down, get some rest."

Frank rested his hand on Jane's shoulder, "Always looking out for me."

"I'm looking out for my brothers."

"Such a good big sister," he smiled and Jane cringed. Frank didn't say anything else before going inside, handing Angela the keys.

"Jane, thank you," Angela sighed in relief.

"Yeah, I told you that you shouldn't have let him come back."

"I know Jane, and I'm sorry... I should have listened to you."

Jane nodded, "Let me go tell Coach Korsak he's allowed to go pick up my brothers..."

"I'll go tell him, and I'll even go with him. If you didn't mind staying home with your father."

"I'm sure he's already passed out, enjoy the ride, tell Korsak to keep his hands to himself," Jane added causing her mother's cheeks to flush.

"I'm sure he'll be on his best behavior, we are just picking up your brothers after all," Angela went to go walk over to Korsak's car, Jane sending the man a wink before heading inside.

Just like she predicted her father was passed out on the couch in the living room. Jane went upstairs to start on some homework.

She suddenly heard footsteps ten minutes later, and then there was a knock on her door. Jane didn't think it would be her dad who she assumed was passed out on the couch the way he was looking. "Pop, I thought you were sleeping."

"Yeah well, I wasn't. What the hell was that out there? You know better than to talk to your father that way. I don't care if you hate me or whatever your petty teenage reason is..."

"You had an affair Pop, I don't think that's a petty reason to be upset. You hurt Ma."

"I did no such thing, your mother started this nonsense when she made friends with your coach. It's not my fault I felt unwanted by her. Me leaving was a stupid mistake and now I can keep an eye on her," Frank shrugged.

"So Ma isn't allowed to be friends with anybody?"

"That's right, especially by men who just want to screw her. I know the way he looks at her and it's disgusting."

"It still doesn't give you a right to go and cheat on her," Jane argued back. "What you did was wrong and I'll stand by Ma everytime."

"Even though she's the whore and not me."

"Don't call her that," Jane gave her father a shove and she instantly regretted it once his hand slapped her across the face, making her fall to the floor. Jane seen red and she got up and shoved him again. Frank grabbed her tightly by the arm.

"That's it Jane, you have serious anger issues and we're going to have to work on that," he yanked her towards the stairs and she tried to pull back.

"I got these anger issues from you. Now, let me go!" Jane shouted, hitting him on the chest. Frank tugged her forward, losing his grip on her arm as Jane tried to pull away. Jane ended up losing her balance and fell down the stairs. She shouted as there was an intense cracking of a bone because she tried to shield herself from hitting her head, she could tell it was a clean break, Jane cried out. Frank looked at his daughter in shock and rushed down to help her. "Don't fucking touch me!" Jane shouted at the man who stumbled slightly.

"I-I alright, I'll call the ambulance," Frank pulled out his phone and called 911.

Jane closed her eyes trying to take deep breaths wishing so much that it was her father going through this pain. Her head was throbbing slightly, Jane did hit her head even as she tried to prevent it from happening and she closed her eyes. She felt Frank kneel down beside her. "Hey Janie, don't- don't close your eyes, you might have a concussion." Jane was in too much pain to care and it felt like forever when the ambulance arrived, the same time as her mother, brothers and Coach Korsak.

"What the hell happened?" Jane heard Korsak and her mother yelling at Frank as the police cruiser came up to the house, that's the last thing Jane heard before she passed out from the pain as she was being lifted into the ambulance.

Maura Isles was sitting in Garrett's car, he drove her and Bridgett to get something to eat, Maura's parents thought it would be a good idea since no one would be home for a while. She was in the backseat, eating the dessert she got for to go as Garrett decided to make out with his girlfriend outside of the car. She felt slightly disturbed and bored out of her mind, they were going at it for at least thirty minutes now.

Maura was almost done with her dessert as her cell phone rang, she looked at the I.D. and seen that it was Frost.

"Hello Barry, what's up?"

"Um hey, there's quite the commotion next door, an ambulance and the police showed up, they just put Jane's dad in the police cruiser with handcuffs. Where are you at?"

Maura almost dropped her phone out of surprise, "Wait, really? What's going on, is Angela okay?"

"I don't know, they just shut the ambulance doors, I have no idea who it was," Frost paused, "Wait I just see Jane's brothers and Coach Korsak standing there, they all look upset and pissed off at the same time. Maura I'll call you right back, I will see if they'll tell me what happened."

"Frost, no wait, just... don't hang up on me, I want to hear from them."

"Okay, okay, give me a second," Frost spoke, and Maura heard some footsteps and movement from Frost she could soon hear the voice of Coach Korsak. "Hey Coach, what's going on here?"

"There was an incident between Jane and her father, I'm about to take Frankie and Tommy to the hospital, Angela went with Jane in the ambulance..." he started and Maura felt numb, feeling frozen, Frank hurt Maura.

The moment Maura was able to move, she got out of the car and tugged at Garrett's arm, "Garrett, we need to go now."

"Woah Maura, what's the rush?" he asked, pulling away from Bridgett, who honestly looked relieved that Maura interrupted.

"Jane's in the hospital."

"Wait, what?" Garrett and Bridgett asked in unison.

"Yeah, Frost just told me, you have to take me, now," Maura spoke with tears in her eyes.

"Yeah, yeah of course," he grabbed his keys from his pocket and both girls got into the car.

"Barry, which hospital is Jane going to?" Maura asked Frost on the phone, almost forgetting he was still on.

"Boston General, do you need a ride?"

"No, Garrett is going to take me, I-I'll meet you there, okay?"

"Yeah of course, see you there," Frost hung up on his side, and Maura leaned back against the backseat, wiping her tears from her cheeks.

The car ride to the hospital was in silence, when they pulled up Maura suggested that Garrett take Bridgett home and she'll keep them updated. Garrett wanted to make sure it was okay and Maura insisted. Maura got out of the car and grabbed her bag before heading inside towards the waiting room. She met up with everybody, Angela instantly pulled her into a hug.

"Maura, thank God you're here..." she cried and Maura frowned.

"Is-is Jane going to be okay, what happened?" Maura asked, pulling away from Angela's hug.

"Jane had a tumble down the stairs, Frank was drunk, she hit her head a little and doctor says she broke her arm, it was a clean break," Angela managed to get out between the tears, Maura looked at the woman and then to Jane's brothers who were sitting a little bit away from everyone else looking really pale. Coach Korsak was sitting in a chair with his face in his hands, Frost sitting next to him.

Maura couldn't believe any of this, she hated how this happened to her girlfriend, she hated her father more than she thought she could ever hate anyone. She went to go sit down next to Frost, grabbing his hand. "Are you going to be alright?"

Frost looked at Maura, it was obvious that he was crying, "Jane and I were fighting Maura, what... what if it was worse, what if she didn't... and her and me never made up... I-I would never forgive myself."

"Barry, you can't feel guilty about any of this, alright? You two will make up, I promise."

"I hope so, I-are you going to be alright?" Frost observed Maura who shrugged.

"Jane got hurt, and I can't handle it, I can't handle knowing who caused this, who caused Jane this pain. I hope he rots in jail for this," Maura grunted out of anger.

"Me too Maura, me too," Frost wrapped his arm around Maura's shoulders, everyone now sitting in silence until they were able to see Jane.

Told you that this chapter was going to be tense, sorry about that, but the idea hit me when I was getting ready for work this morning. Frank is an ass and always will be in my stories. Jane's tough, but she's going to hate Frank even more and the fact that she's going to be missing out on playing quite a lot of baseball. We'll get more fluffiness for this story again soon though, I promise. Let me know what you thought about this chapter.
