"Did you see him leave?" Tailsko asks Espio while everyone checks their things.
"No. But I would have seen Storm leave with him if he did get caught," Espio explains.
"She kicked all their asses," Kuro says, blinking into the room.
They all jump in shock before seeing who it is. "Oh, good. You made it," Sally says in relief.
"No thanks to the stupid plan. I am still in shock. She went for plan B. You told me to use it if plan A fell through," Kuro says, taking a seat hard on the ground.
"You're bleeding!" Tailsko says and goes to grab some medical supplies. "Should have said something," she scolds while cleaning up his blood-stained fur and clothes before seeing the injury.

"We may not have been able to capture an egg boss, but this should set us up for the next operation and distract her for a bit," Sally says.

"Don't tempt me," Kuro informs, sounding very tired and rubs at his eyes. "If you excuse me, I am taking one of those, and I don't care who has it. It's mine now," he declares before getting up and slapping Tailsko's hands away.
Sally raises an eyebrow as Tailsko walks up beside her with a bloody rag. They both watch as Kuro walks into a large truck without even checking what was inside. "I'll…go deal with him," Tailsko promises and climbs into the truck holding all her workshop supplies to find Kuro already in the only sleeping bag on the floor.
"The one sleeping bag I had to pick…" Kuro mumbles and pulls the covers over his shoulders. He is facing away from her as Tailsko walks up and sits by him. "I can fix myself by the way. I'm sure a cute girl like you can get someone to give their sleeping bag for you," he waves off.

Tailsko shakes her head as she prepares what he needs to patch himself up. "And here you are, joining us. I was surprised you came back to us when you wanted to run in the beginning. Kuro says nothing before feeling a hand on his shoulder. "What happened to make you like this?" Tailsko asks.
Kuro stays silent on the matter and doesn't react, so Tailsko sighs and starts to get up. "You lost someone, didn't you?" she guesses and sees his ears flinch. Tailsko slowly nods to herself before starting to leave. "I'll stay with another for the night. You can have this spot for yourself. "Hey," Tailsko interrupts, stopping him cold to see her staring at him with a slight frown. "If you don't want to tell, that's fine. I mean, I can see you are troubled enough. Just tell me how much room you need, and I can give," she assures and promises. She then sits down by the workbench on the wall as Kuro gives a brief once over of the room. It wasn't so much a workshop around here or a hanger. It feels more like the crampest bedroom around fitted to be a workplace and a place to live a person's life out at the same time. "Yes. Tell me a direction and how far and I will show you," Kuro says, closing his eyes and soon hears a tape measure.

"Probably would be easiest if it was eyewear or a mask…you have been starting to include shielding on everything, right?" Kuro asks, recalling how he lost his communicator and glad he still remembered Abyss's number.
Tailsko smiles and reaches into a nearby bag on the table to pull out another communicator. "Here you go. We stole a few things from those guys still chasing us," she offers and holds it out to him.
"And hidden the location part so they can't triangulate its location?" Kuro asks.
Tailsko smirks. "What do you take me for? An idiot?" she asks jokingly and holds up a microchip. "This saves you a few months of being tracked."
"Want to say hi to one of the egg bosses?" Kuro asks, starting to add Abyss's contact info.
"'Sexy squid'?" Tailsko asks, and Kuro stares at her. "Rouge brags," she waves off with a screwdriver.
"So, you want to?" Kuro asks, hitting the call.
Tailsko smiles. "I'm here, aren't I?"
"What is it?" Abyss asks, not really looking at the communicator and very distracted.
Kuro massages his throat a bit before speaking in a slightly different voice. "Uh…boss, the system is messing up again. We weren't supposed to receive Sonica, right?" Kuro asks.

Abyss hisses and clicks her teeth as he talks. "You caused so much trouble!" she accuses.
"No, that was Storm who was chasing me who did that. So from the looks of it…they are slacking again, aren't they?" Kuro asks.
"I see she hasn't caught you yet," Abyss comments.
"You see an altar in the background?" Kuro asks.
Abyss clicks her teeth, annoyed, which Kuro smiles at. "Don't smile. I haven't forgotten you were here last time."
"Speaking of which, you prefer scotch or beer?" Kuro asks, surprising Abyss.
Abyss groans. "Would you stop fucking around and flirting with me?" she complains.
"I can't help it. You have a charm to you that I can not resist, and I made you a promise," Kuro says, reminding her.
Abyss screams, which make Tailsko slowly lean away from the screen. "Wait…" Abyss says and looks closer at the screen. "That background is new…" Abyss realizes and tries to see any discernible detail.
"So you want to see me again? I can arrange to meet up in Casino Park in nearly a month," Kuro offers.
Abyss growls before slamming the call off hard enough that Kuro and Tailsko heard something crack before the line was cut off. "I don't think she is coming," Tailsko says after a while.
Kuro smirks and sets a timer for forty minutes and waits when the timer hits zero, his communicator rang. "Yes, Abyss?" Kuro asks.
"Casino Park, was it?" Abyss asks.
Kuro smiles and leans on the bench while watching Tailsko's reaction. "Yeah. One month. Hope to see you there in something beautiful, sexy. At hotel Tricolor. It will be under Storm's name," Kuro informs.
Abyss takes a deep breath before sighing. "Fine," she agrees before cutting the line.
