Kuro groans and slowly opens his eyes before noticing Tailsko wasn't in bed with him. He then sits up and looks to see her sitting at the workbench and working on a visor. "Hey…how long have you been up?" he spoke up while noticing he is still naked under the sheets and smiles as he wonders what Tailsko thought before she got to work.

"A bit," Tailsko says, not looking up as she worked.

Kuro smiles and gets up out of bed. He groans and stretches while walking over to her before wrapping his arms around her. "And are you feeling more relaxed, my sexy fox?" he asks into her ear and places a hand on her chest, earning him a shiver from the girl.

"I am kinda working on your request right now," Tailsko informs, trying not to show reactions anymore.

Kuro hums and looks at how far she has come on the piece. The one-eye visor has a yellow lens and segmented metal straps that should wrap around the head. "Okay. I'll leave you alone. I might as well see if Sally has anything for me," he says before letting go of her and starts dressing up with the clothes he left on the ground nearby. Tailsko shivers as his warm body leaves her side, and she feels a cold breeze roll through.

Sally turns out didn't have anything as they were too busy setting up, leaving Kuro with a lot of free time, which he used to start looking for targets that would be a challenge. While walking around the new base, which is now set up in an underground bunker, he was able to find a message and mailroom that the walrus who works with Sally is setting up in.

Kuro takes another look around and sees that most of the bunker seems to be part of an old historical war that he has no time to look up for. The main tunnel is big enough that Kuro thinks Tailsko can fly her Tornado inside and through this pathway for quite a distance. Every few or tens of feet were sturdy metal doors that lead to more corridors or a room where everyone was still working, setting up the last of their things.

As for Kuro, he walks into the mailroom and rifles through the latest reports that they didn't have a chance to look through to find anything notable. He takes out some papers on more bases nearby after a quick scouting trip, so he doesn't think much of it while they are asking to know what purposes and information each place could. Kuro peeks outside and sees everyone is too busy to notice him and heads out, papers in hand. 'Okay. It should be simple and fun. Need to get a workout in, and I should do one every morning at least,' Kuro thinks before starting to run, scaling walls as silently as he could, trying to move around the base undetected. For days at a time, no one would see Kuro, but Tailsko and Sally knew he was on site.

Tailsko, every once in a while, would find a flower on her workbench. Sally would eventually find a data chip on the newly moved table, and when she checks out what is on it, it was movement plans and more location clues to Sonica's location, which is still changing to be sent to Eggman himself. Sally had to be impressed with Kuro's skills as he did more and more without being asked for it. As for Tailsko, she would find more and more extravagant parts sitting on her workbench, which she used to help upgrade his visor. The challenge to build something of this nature is one of the biggest challenges Tailsko has undertaken, considering it has to factor in Kuro's thoughts and ideas on the fly without delay as one second and one inch can cost him. So she does not want to mess up, though, she hopes he comes to at least rest with her once in a while after so many long days of working on his visor and fixing up whatever else is coming her way.

That night, while Tailsko was half asleep, she felt something climb into her bed and hold her. She never heard a thing, and the security system was still armed as well. She smiled, knowing it was Kuro, but she was going to have to upgrade the security system if Kuro found a weak point in it.

Kuro is already half asleep as he pulls her closer against him. Tailsko feels his body tense at specific points and guesses he has been training and getting used to his powers for the last few days. But now she will soon give something so he can worry less about using it or be as tired. Tailsko smiles and curls up against his chest as she wonders how he will react though he has to explain how did he get through without their security system responding to him.

When Kuro wakes up, he sees Tailsko there smiling at him. "Morning," Tailsko greets.

"Hey. You make any good progress you want to share with me?" Kuro asks.

Tailsko smiles before kneeling beside him. "Yeah. I just finished," she says proudly before reaching from behind her and takes out the visor. "What do you think?"

"You finish putting on your logo as well?" Kuro teases, letting her know he had been watching her at times.

Tailsko blushes and looks away, embarrassed. "Don't make fun of it. I made sure Eggman knows who beat and helped with taking him out."

"It's cute," Kuro says, petting one of her tails.

Tailsko yips and swings her tails away from his hand to avoid his pets. "Better try it so I can calibrate it and make sure everything is working," she says a little too quickly.

"Alright, also, I hate to ask this, but got another request after we are done," Kuro says, activating the visor for her to calibrate and run tests on.

Tailsko smiles while looking at her small computer and checks over everything. "What is it? A weapon that can teleport with you or has the same effect?"

"No, my blink ability…is draining…so need something that…can to allow me to get around easier…without it. A grappling hook-like device, for example," Kuro says blinking every so often for her to get data and she gets results that she is having a hard time making sense of.

"I can make that easy. But this…is going to be tough," Tailsko says to herself while scrolling through the data as Kuro walks up to her and tries to see what she is looking at. "A little too close, Kuro," she warns.

"Gotcha, give you a bit of space," Kuro says, moving back a bit.

Tailsko smiles while he admires his new blink helper and the little parts on it. "Never had something like that before, huh?" she asks a little proudly and slowly starts to understand the data that came in.

"Yeah, this is gonna help quite a bit, but how do I upload schematics and blueprints?" Kuro asks.

Tailsko hums before walking over to him and fiddles with the visor. "I did place in a port somewhere, but for now, you can connect to a computer and upload from there. Should hold…at least twenty of these blueprints," she explains while showing the port and connection point.

"Can you add a scanning function for the paper version?" Kuro asks, making Tailsko hum, thinking about that.

"I could…but that will take time. I will have to tell it what it has to do with each part of the scan, and there is…" she rambles off as Kuro watches her speak so animated about the entire thing. At least she is happy to be working on something so complicated yet so fun for her without a sense of worry. Sally was right, she is young and innocent at times about stuff, but when it's severe, she will change course.

"Tailsko," Sally calls while entering.

"Oh, hey, Sally," Tailsko greets and waves at her while Kuro slinks away to a corner of the room to keep admiring what his visor can do. "Need something?"

"You said you would have something for our forces today," Sally says, noticing Kuro was here wearing a new piece of gear with Tailsko's emblem on it but also how the bed was messed up. Tailsko is a messy sleeper, but not that messy.

Tailsko looks excited at that point. "Oh yeah. The ion poppers," she says before going to a box and opens it to some balls that have a button on it. "Here. This can disable any robot in a twenty-foot area," she offers to Sally.

"These are shielded, right?" Kuro asks, pointing to his visor and ring blades.

Tailsko smiles at him. "Yeah. I made sure this time."

"So, what do they do?" Sally asks.

Tailsko tosses her one of the balls, and Sally catches it. "It will disable robots for a long time. They will need a recharge to get back up. But for computers without shields, it will fry it if close enough. I will work on putting shielding on everything we have in the meantime as well."

"And when Eggman starts rolling out bots with shielding?" Kuro asks.

Tailsko scratches the back of her head, embarrassed; her excitement finally deflated. "Yeah…I'm working on that part."

"After you are done with calibrating this, you should focus on that," Kuro advises, tapping the visor.

Sally nods while tossing the popper around. "Yeah. I would do what he says. And Kuro, thanks for all the heists. If you keep it up, you will be rising to the number one wanted spot soon," Sally almost jokes before humming. "And can you start shielding our situation room first?"

"First thing on my list," Tailsko promises.

"Ah…" Kuro says, and Sally follows his eyes to the generator nearby.

"Second those on the list," Sally adds, pointing to the generators.

"Adding," Tailsko says, almost jokingly.

"By the way, the vents are a significant blindspot," Kuro informs.

Tailsko now looks thoughtful. "That explains a whole lot now."

"Yeah, I contemplated installing a rail station in it since I have been using it so much," Kuro jokes.

"Kuro," Tailsko accuses.

"What?" Kuro asks innocently with a shrug.

"Yeah…vents are tricky since this place is old, and air doesn't circulate as much without it," Sally contemplates.

"So, I shouldn't have added the flamethrower trap?" Kuro asks, and Sally and Tailsko could not tell if that was a joke or if he was serious. "What?"

Sally sighs. "Finish things up and get it done as quickly as possible. His visor and shielding take priority," she orders at Tailsko.

Tailsko nods before looking thoughtful. "Any news on Sonica?"

Sally freezes in place and slowly looks to Kuro before looking back to the fox. "We are getting close, Tailsko. But it will take time," Sally explains and sees the downtrodden look on Tailsko's face. "Don't worry. Sonica is a tough girl. Once we find her, the first thing she will ask is…"

"One chili dog, please," Tailsko finishes smiling before giggling. "And then a group hug."

Sally nods and smiles before petting her head. "We'll get her back soon enough."

"What is this chili dog? Is it food?" Kuro asks.

Tailsko smiles as Sally leaves. "Sonica's favorite. It's a hot dog with chili sauce over it."

"A hot dog?" Kuro asks, eyebrows raised.

Tailsko sighs. "Guess you haven't celebrated a lot either. Tell you what. Next time we have a party, you are having the second hot dog," she promises, smiling up at him.

"Nah, I will just steal one from the bottom of the pile, so no one misses it," Kuro teases as he leans towards her.

Tailsko blushes as she starts to back up while he keeps walking towards her. "No…you should have one made. We have…chili," she gulps as he smirks at her with a somehow predatory glint in his eyes. "And radish, mustard, ketchup," she squeaks out the last one when he corners her against her workbench. "And…I can make it how you think it…could…look good," she tries to squeeze out while he pins his arms on both sides of her so she can't escape. Tailsko's eyes keep looking around widely for a way out as Kuro leans closer over her and traps her from moving too much.

"Let me show my appreciation," Kuro whispers into her ear before kissing her softly.

Tailsko yips into his mouth before falling along into the kiss and grabs at his chest to not fall over. She moans and starts to kiss back before he pulls his head back and leaves her blinking confused and stuck in a trance. "Wha…wait," she says as Kuro starts to get some supplies. "That's it?"

Kuro chuckles and grins toward her. "Yep. Why? Hoping for another romp?" he asks bluntly but with a sly tone. Tailsko blushes a bit at that. "I would offer, but you are doing important work for maybe later tonight," Kuro offers.

Tailsko gulps nervously while he grabs his visor. "Yeah…right. I should finish that thing," she says, taking the visor and starts to work on it.

"You do great work," Kuro compliments.

Tailsko keeps working but has a deep blush on her cheeks. "Right. Thanks," she says, reworking the sensors.
