Another chapter of The Will of Resistance is inbound. Last time, Recon Three had it's first real meeting with Elecdraco, what resulted in pretty hard situation. But now, they were taken in by the Dark Elves and it seems like Jackie found something what made her very happy.

But before we start, reviews.

To Hank: Mercenaries and bounty hunters are a kind of neutral party in this entire mess. While they occasionally take jobs from one side or the other, they try to stay as neutral as they can, to not get in trouble. War is bad for business, you know.

To Sierratuere: Previously, I thought that plot armor was an actual type of armor used in combat. It was later, that I found out, what plot armor actually was.

Alright, with this out of the way, let's get to the main subject.

Chapter 23

,,Dragon hunters"

October 1, 2150

Plateau West of the Dark Elves hideout

"Jackie, can you finally tell me, what is this all about?"Ester asked, as she followed Jackie and a Dark Elf.

Just half an hour ago, after smelling the fluid used by Dark Elves, Jackie asked the elders, where are they getting this from. Dark Elves were kind enough to give her a guide, which had to show her where is this fluid coming from. She also took Ester with her, not saying anything, at least not yet. Now, the three were traveling across the plateau. Ester was falling behind the other two.

"I will explain, once we find, what I want."Jackie replied."How far?"she asked the Dark Elf.

"Just few more meters and you'll see it."Dark Elf replied.

Jackie nodded and the three continued. Few meters after, they stopped and Dark Elf showed them the area in front of them.

"Here it is."he said.

What they saw, was a giant, enormous, lake filled with black fluid. It was surely several kilometers wide and long.

"Wow."Ester said.

"Yeah. And it's as I thought."Jackie stated.

She went down the slope, followed by Ester and the Dark Elf. The three reached the edge of the lake and Jackie knelt, to check the thing. She rubbed her fingers with the fluid on them and smiled even wider.

"Jackie, can you finally tell me, what it is?"Ester asked again.

"Can't you see it?"Jackie replied."It's oil."

"Oil?"Ester asked.

"Oil."Jackie confirmed."But I guess, that you from Earth wouldn't know it. You got weaned form the smell of oil on the gas station."

Ester nodded in agreement. For last one hundred years, oil basically went out of use on Earth, after most of it's reserves were used in 1st Tertan War and currently, most vehicles were powered up by hydrogen. Only usage it had in current times, was in military vehicles, industrial machines and was one of the basic ingredients for spaceship fuel. And Ester should expect, that Jackie, growing up on a mining colony in Minenia, would know the smell of oil very well.

"If it's oil"Ester started"then what should we do with it?"

"I guess, that with some talking and money, we could get contracts allowing us to extract it. And with this many, imagine how much oilium we could make."Jackie explained, with sparkles in her eyes.

Ester nodded. Oilium was the fuel used in spaceship reactors. It was basically mix of uranium, oil and some other elements. It was efficient and easy to make.

"You really are keen on it, huh?"Ester asked."Okay. Once we get rid of the Elecdraco, I'll report this finding to the base."

"Sounds good to me."Jackie said.

"Okay, let's get back."Ester said.

With these words, the three turned around and returned to the Dark Elves' hideout, leaving giant oil lake behind.

Dark Elves' hideout

Ester, Jackie and the guide entered the canyon system serving as the place to hide for Dark Elves. They walked down the ridge and entered one of the caves leading inside. Soon, they reached the main chamber and found rest of the squadron there.

"And, what did you find?"Arlette asked.

"Enormous lake full of oil."Jackie replied."At least as big as Lake Novum."

Hearing this, everyone widened their eyes. Lake Novum was biggest lake on Minenia, measuring twenty kilometers in width. It was a normal lake filled with water. But hearing about lake of such size filled with just oil was really shocking.

"Wow, what do we do with it then?"Anastasia asked.

"Nothing yet. After we take care of Elecdrago, I'll contact the command and tell them about it."Ester said."But first, the mission."

Everyone nodded in agreement. Right then, Fatima cleared her throat. Ester looked at her.

"What is it?"she asked.

"It's about…"Fatima bit her lip."About Tuka."

Smile vanished from Ester's face. Everyone else also felt the situation becoming a bit heavier, so they decided to quickly evacuate from there to allow the two talk about the Elf's mental state.

"What about her?"Ester asked.

"Well…While you and Jackie were gone, I made some scans to check her condition."Fatima replied, scratching back of her head.

Immediately, something twisted in Ester's stomach.

"Should I stop?"Fatima asked, seeing her reaction.

"No, continue."Ester replied.

Fatima cleared her throat again.

"Well, it's about her brain waves…"

"Yes?"

"They're…stabilizing."Fatima finally replied.

Ester hit the wall next to her with her fist.

"Damn it, I knew I shouldn't…"she then stopped, when Fatima's words fully reached her."You said they're stabilizing?"

"Yes. Apparently, by saying that her father is dead, you made her accept this."

"How…How does that work?"

Israeli-Lebanese just threw up her arms.
"I don't know, I don't know all the secrets of Elven brain."she stated.

"Can I talk with her?"

"Sure, follow me."

Fatima led Ester deeper into the cave system. In some caves, Ester saw Dark Elves. Men, women, children. They all looked at her and smiled, trying to not show what they were truly feeling. All now living here instead of their homes, all because of the Elecdraco. This really made her keen on killing that beast, just like they did with Flame Dragon. But now, she needed to care about Tuka.

"Here."Fatima said after few minutes.

"Okay, thanks."Ester replied.

Ester entered the cave and started preparing herself for meeting with Tuka. She did not know, if what she said back there had any effect on her. And she was really scared to know.

After some time of walking, she finally made it to the chamber, in which Tuka was. As Ester entered, she also saw Rory and Lelei alongside Tuka, which sat in the bed. White Squadron leader swallowed and waved her hand.

"Hey."she said.

"Oh, hey. You came to see Tuka?"Rory asked.

"Yeah…I…wanted to talk with her, you know…"Ester replied.

Rory nodded.

"Do you want us to stay here?"Lelei asked.

"Well…I don't want o tell you to leave…but I would like to talk with Tuka face to face, just the two of us."Ester explained.

Lelei nodded and took Rory by hand.

"Let's go. Better to honor her request."the mage said.

"I really can't stay and look?"Rory asked innocently.

"No."Lelei said, with tone not agreeing on anything.

The two then left the chamber, followed by Ester's sight. Next, after they left, Ester looked back at Tuka., Elf just sat there, saying nothing. Ester sat next to her and uneasy silence hung in the air for few minutes. By these few minutes, the two tried to pick up a conversation a few times, but ultimately gave up.

"Well…"Ester finally said."How do you feel?"

"I fell…surprisingly good."Tuka replied."Even better than before."

Ester gulped again.

"Do you…remember anything…that I told you back there?"she asked, unsure.

"About my father being dead?"Elf said, catching Ester off guard."Yes, I remember."

White Squadron leader lowered her head.

"I'm sorry. I really had no other idea and I…"she tried to say something else, but could not find words.

"Don't worry."Tuka said."I think that…it was what I actually needed."

"Really?"Ester asked, surprised.

"Yes. Fatima said, that I was not far from something worse, than thinking, that you are my father. She said that I could…'go totally insane', if I remember correctly."Tuka explained."And that what you said made something snap in my mind, allowing me to just accept the reality."

"Huh."Ester said."Would you look at that."

The two sat like that for few more minutes. Finally, not being able to stop it, they just started laughing at all of what happened.

"I thought you was my father!"Tuka said through laugh.

"And I had to pretend, that I'm your father!"Ester replied, also through laugh.

As the two continued to laugh, Rory and Lelei were listening to everyone from the outside of the chamber.

"Well, looks like they are having fun, suddenly."Rory said.

"I think, that they explained everything they needed."Lelei stated.

"Agree."

Back with the two, they finally stopped laughing like maniacs and just sat there, catching breath.

"So, can I go with you to hunt down Elecdrago?"Tuka finally asked.

Happiness vanished from Ester's face. She did not expect to hear this question so quickly after Tuka got better.

"You sure you want that?"she asked.

"Well, yeah. This is what we came here for, right?"Tuka said.

Ester sighed.

"I think I can't forbid you from going."she stated."But I want you to be careful out there and don't do anything stupid, okay?"

Elf nodded in agreement.

"Of course."she said.

"Alright. I'm happy you're okay. Now, I need to go and do some talking, you know."Ester explained.

"Okay."

White Squadron leader one more time nodded and stood up. Next, she left the chamber in much better mood, than before. She again met Rory and Lelei outside.

"And how was it?"Rory asked.

"You should know."Ester replied."At least, she doesn't think I'm her father anymore."

"What are you going to do now then?"Lelei asked, as emotionless as always.

"Briefing. Gotta talk with the others about the upcoming mission."she replied."Of course, I would like you to be there, as well. And take Tuka with you."

"Sure."the two replied.

Ester nodded and after that, she went to meet with the rest of Recon Three.

Makeshift command point of Recon Team Three

After meeting with Elecdrago, all vehicles of Recon Three were placed in semi-circle and masked with masking net on the top. It simply became a makeshift command post for the unit. Currently, all soldiers of the unit were gathered there, awaiting Ester's briefing. White Squadron leader stood in front of them and looked at them. Rory, Lelei and Tuka were there too, along with Yao and some other Dark Elves.

Ester cleared her throat and clapped her hands.

"Okay guys. Let's get this thing going."she said."This is gonna be our last briefing, before we start hunting Elecdraco. I want everyone to listen closely, okay?"

All soldiers and non-soldiers nodded. Ester did the same and activated the holo-table that was also brought here with them. Holographic image of Elecdraco appeared in the air and started slowly spinning around.

"Our target, Elecdraco, is not a normal dragon. You saw it earlier today."Ester said, reminding earlier meeting with Elecdraco."This beast fires streams of lightnings from it's mouth and can turn you into as without you even noticing it. No armor will help you in defending from it."

Crews of armored vehicles suddenly started feeling uneasy.

"But if everything goes according to my plan, the amount of fighting we will need to do will be minimal."she reassured.

"So, what's the plan?"Leopard tank driver asked.

Ester looked at Yao.

"Yao. If I remember correctly, you said, that Elecdraco is nesting in a dead volcano, right?"she said.

"Yes."Yao replied."It's that big one you can see in the distance."

Everyone looked in the pointed direction and saw the said volcano towering over the rest of mountains and area.

"Ooookay."Ester said, coming back to the topic."We can infiltrate the place with minimal team. There, we will place several high-power plasma charges, courtesy of our Tertan friends."

All Tertan members of the team, including Aquexymeva, nodded,.

"Will this be enough?"one of Elbe's soldiers asked.

"One such charge have power of three C4 charges. And one C4 is already pretty destructive in it's own right."Ester replied."Is this answer enough?"

"Yes."he said.

Ester nodded. She again turned to the entirety of the team.

"As I said, a minimal team will enter into the mountain. Rest, mainly the vehicles of course, will stay outside to guard the area. After we set up the charges and take care of Elecdrago, we will come back and get out of there. Understood?"Ester asked.

"Yes, sir!"everyone replied in their languages.

"Great. So now, go get ready for the action."

All members of the team stood up and left the command point to prepare their vehicles and weapons for the operation. Only people left, were Yao and the group of Dark Elves.

"Is something the matter, Yao?"Ester asked.

"Somehow."Yao replied, pointing at the Dark Elves with her."These are Crow, Met, Ban, Fen, Nokk, Seymy, Nayu and Komu. They volunteered to come with us to the Elecdrago lair and want to help us kill it."

Ester frowned and looked at the eight Dark Elves, then back at Yao.

"You know it's a bad idea?"she asked.

"Hey, we can fight."Komu said.

"I don't doubt it."Ester agreed."But I don't think you'll be able to hurt the Elecdrago with your swords and bows."

"Who said we will fight with swords and bows?"Crow asked.

Ester risen her eyebrow.

"We want you to teach us how to use your fire weapons."Nayu said.

White Squadron leader widened her eyes after hearing that.

"Nope, no way, never!"she exclaimed in their faces.

"But why? They seem pretty easy to use."Nokk said, looking at assault riffle laying next to Ester.

"They seem that way, but we use them everyday for several years now. You can't expect to fully learn how to use any of our weapons."she argued.

However, when she again looked at the Dark Elves, only thing she saw in their eyes was excitement and determination. She sighed.

"I guess you won't change your mind, right?"

Everyone shook their heads.

"Okay, come with me. We will try to teach you basics at least."Ester said.

With these words, Dark Elves followed the White Squadron leader.

Few minutes later…

Ester unloaded a number of rocket launchers and one certain weapon from the back of the Land Rover. She placed them on the ground and looked at the group of Dark Elves in front of her. They really did not wanted to back off from their decision. She sighed.

"You think it's a good idea?"Dora asked.

"I tried to speak to their minds, but they just won't listen."Ester replied."Even if we tied them up, they would probably crawl all the way to the mountain."

Dora shook her her head.

"What kind of minds do they have?"she asked.

"They probably want to be heroes, about which they will sing songs."Ester stated.

"They're gonna be so dead."White Squadron 2IC said.

She probably had no idea, that she foreshadowed something at that time.

"Is anything wrong?"Fen asked.

Ester shook her head.

"Nope. We can start."she said.

She came up to the weapons laying on the ground. From them, she chosen the rocket launcher.

"This"she said, holding it"is German made Panzerfaust V anti-tank rocket launcher. Designed to crack open armor of the strongest tanks, the idea of it's creation came after Human-Shakayan War, where Shakayan heavy tanks really made themselves known to us. It can be armed with variety of warheads, but for now, I will just show you standard anti-armor warhead."

Elves said nothing, just watched, amazed by every word Ester was saying. White Squadron leader did not know, if she should be worried or not.

She just turned around and aimed the Panzerfaust at a giant rock several hundred meters away. She pulled the trigger and warhead flew in it's direction. Elves just watched and waited what will happen.

There was a flash of explosion, loud bang and the boulder was torn into little pieces. Elves watched it with awe and fascination.

"As I said, it's the most basic warhead."she said."Others are more powerful, with ability to also launch small power nuclear warheads."

Ester put back down the Panzerfaust. In it's place, she took a black-red weapon, about the same length as Panzerfaust V, but looked more advanced and battle ready.

"Next up, is something made by Tertans."Ester said to the Elves."KL-33 SFL, which stands for Shoulder Fired Laser. This thing, as all Tertan weaponry, is energy bases, which means, that fires condensed energy instead of physical projectiles. It's basically Tertan response for any Human based anti-tank weaponry. Tertans gave some to Humans as a part of allied weapons exchange."

Yao and other Elves nodded, clearly showing, that they don't understand a single word.

"Okay, now, watch that tree over there."Ester said.

She aimed the KL-33 at the said tree and waited until it will lock on the target. Next, she pulled the trigger.

Loud whoosh was heard and stream of red energy shot out of the weapon. It hit the tree and simply sliced it in half, making it fall on the ground. Once more, Elves were in awe and fascinated.

"What power…"Komu said.

"Such magic…"Nayu added.

"It's not magic."Ester said, showing her tiredness of constantly sating that."It's all thanks years of development of advanced technologies."

This time, Elves gave her a look saying 'Uhhh…what?'. White Squadron leader just waved it off and put the KL-33 down with Panzerfaust V.

"All soldiers in Other World carry these weapons with the?"Crow asked.

"No."Dora said."Each soldier have individual weapon, but not that."

"Then what your soldiers fight with?"Ban asked.

Dora grabbed her AR4 and showed it to Elves.

"American-made AR4 assault riffle, produced by Steel Arms Fabrications for United States Army and Marines Corps, adapted by United Nations Space Alliance as main infantry riffle, together with Russian AK-133, Chinese QBZ-06 and Belgian FN BRUISE."she explained.

She then aimed at a rock in front of her and fired short series at it. Bullets grazed the rock, throwing it's parts in various directions. Elves, however, were not impressed.

"And?"Dora asked.

"How can something like that be dangerous?"Fen asked.

"Exactly. I guess that this thing was made only to scare people."Seymy said.

Dora just narrowed her eyes and facepalmed herself.

"Ihr verdammten Idioten."she said.

Elves gave her asking look, but Dora did not say what she just said. She just waved them off and put down her riffle.

"So, what do you choose?"Ester asked.

Everyone immediately pointed at Panzerfausts and KL-33s. Ester simply sighed. She should have expected that.

"Alright. Try these weapons by yourself. Just don't get hurt. Dora will show you, how to operate these things."Ester said.

Dora nodded. Ester responded with the same and left the area. On the way, she sighed once again, thinking, what this situation with the elves would lead to. It was not going to be anything good, she knew it.

Suddenly, she heard beeping coming from her hand terminal. She looked at it and was confused, seeing who it was.

"Ox?"she whispered and accepted the call."What is it, Ox?"

"Just calling to see how are you doing."Oksana replied."I hope you have no problems?"

"Not really. We're just about to move out to hunt that beast down, so you know."Ester replied.

"I see."the Ukrainian said.

"Any news from our side of the Gate?"

Oksana was thinking for a few seconds, before she could reply.

"Nothing much."she finally said."Holies are still trying to break through our defenses, but are not doing pretty well. We, on the other hand, finally started to slowly push them back. Three more solar systems fell into our hands again."

Ester had to smile, hearing this. Holies were being, slowly but shortly, pushed back. This was good news for everyone. But how fast will they be defeated? Nobody knew.

"Also, we finally elected new General Secretary."Oksana added.

"Really? Who?"Ester asked.

"Some guy named Vander Orcan. I don't know, it's General Assembly who chooses him."Oksana reminded.

"Oh, right."Ester remembered."Is that everything you wanted to tell me?"

"Oh, yeah, one more thing. Imps tried to take the hill again."

Ester could only smile with pity hearing that.

"How long will you be cleaning them?"she asked.

"Two days, at least."Oksana replied."Okay, I just called to give you some short updates. Now, go and kill some dragons."

"Sure thing."Ester said and ended the call.

Next, she went to prepare for the upcoming mission.

The next day…

Volcano's side road

Small convoy of four vehicles moved up the road. It was in half made of cars, so the Land Rover and Fennek, while second half of it was made of Catcher and AMX-40 RC. All vehicles moved up the road, leading to the volcano, where Elecdrago was supposed to reside.

Several last hours were pretty busy. Vehicle crews were preparing their weapons, Elves were training with the anti-tank weapons and everyone was one last time briefed about what they task would be. With everything talked through, explained and decided, it was finally time to make a move and finally hunt down the said beast.

"Damn, this road is so narrow, I can barely turn."Liz said, as always, sitting behind Land Rover's wheel."In that way, we will faster fall, than actually reach the top."

She looked at Emiko, which was sitting on the seat next to her. She was shaking, after hearing, what Liz just said about falling.

"Hey, don't worry, I wasn't serious about it."she said, trying to comfort her step sister.

"O-Okay…"Emiko replied reluctantly.

Ester looked at them. It was really nice to look at the two stepsisters, at least for her.

"We're almost at the top."Yao said.

"Okay then."Ester said and turned on her radio."Everybody knows the plan?"

"Yes."everyone replied.

"Good. Be ready for any complications that may occur. We never know, what can happen."White Squadron leader stated.

"Sure."everyone said.

The small convoy continued to move up the road, until they finally reached the top. There, the vehicles stopped and set up around the entrance to the cave that they saw there. Soldiers, as well as Dart Elves, which were driving in the Catcher, disembarked and started securing the perimeter. After making sure that everything was calm, the gathered around Ester. She nodded.

"Okay. Everyone, guard the entrance, while me, rest of White Squadron and Dark Elves get there and take care of the Elecdraco. Inform us about any complications that might occur."Ester ordered.

All soldiers saluted. White Squadron leader looked at Rory.

"Rory."she said.

"Of course."Apostle said.

Next, before anyone could say anything else, she ran off and disappeared among the rocks and ridges of the area.

"She will be going around and telling us about everything that's going on."Ester explained."Get ready and let's go in."

Soldiers nodded and walked away. Meanwhile, Ester looked at Tuka, which stood with Lelei near the Land Rover.

"Tuka, Lelei."Ester said, bringing the attention of the two.

"What is it?"Lelei asked.

"I just wanted you to have this."Ester said.

As she said it, she grabbed two bulletproof vests and helmets from the back of the Land Rover. She gave them to the two.

"Not much when you stand face to face with a dragon, but we have nothing else."she said.

"Thank you."Lelei said.

The two took the vests and helmets and put them on with Ester's help. It had to be said, that they looked pretty strange in these outfits, especially Lelei with her robes and staff in hand. But this had to just do.

"Okay, keep close to us, in case something unexpected takes place. And don't peek out too much."Ester instructed.

"Sure."the tow replied.

Next, they followed Ester, which took her assault riffle and joined the rest of White Squadron, as well as Dark Elves. Everyone looked at her with determined faces. Ester knew, that this could actually be their hardest mission yet. Not fighting Holy Order, not infiltrating enemy base, not trying to survive hostile flora and faun on some aline world, although this could be counted as the last one.

She took a deep breath.

"Okay, people, let's get inside."

"Yes, sir!"White Squadron members said in unison.

Next, the group turned towards the cave entrance and without saying anything else, started making their way inside. As they did it, Ester pressed a button on a signal transmitter she had with her, to send a signal to certain person.

Meanwhile…

Blue Sea airspace

Over the Blue Sea, Resistance ships were still hovering, guarding the Naval Gate, as it was called by the Resistance. On the water below, African Union naval ships were performing patrols and guard duties.

Egon, as always, was spending most of his time on the bridge, coordinating the works of the fleet. Captain Eriksson allowed him to sit in captain's chair, what Egon was currently doing, looking at the holographic map of the Galaxy.

"Officer Sammer!"comms officer said.

"What is it?"Egon asked.

"We're getting the signal from major Barkhorn."officer replied.

Egon nodded.

"Well then. You know, what to do."he said.

"Of course, sir!"main engineer said.

He then gave his orders. Soon, Ike started gaining altitude, setting itself in position with nose pointed towards the sky. Egon patted the arm of captain's chair.

"Let's make history, shall we?"he said.

All crew members nodded in agreement.

"Space flight in 10…9…"main engineer started counting.

Egon braced himself for what was about to come. Ike was about to make history, being the first spaceship to fly off world from the planet in another world.

"…3…2…1…Space flight!"

As these words were said, Heavy Cruiser started burning towards the atmosphere, with goal of leaving it, with giant piles of smoke trailing behind the vessel.

Back in Elbe…

White Squadron, accompanied by the Dark Elves, continued to venture deeper into the volcano, where Elecdraco had to live. They moved slowly, pointing their riffles with mounted flashlights at the various spots, to not get surprised by any cave-based life form, which could be dangerous for them.

"You never can't be sure about anything."Ester explained to the Dark Elves.

And so, they moved towards their target. Fortunately, nothing attacked them, what was a good sign.

"How long until we reach the center of the volcano?"Ester asked.

"It should be around…now."Yao replied.

As she said that, they entered an enormous chamber in the center of the volcano. Everyone looked up and saw the the hole in the top of the mountain. Also, as they noticed, they were standing in some sort of rock shelf.

Ester came up to the edge and pointed her flashlight down. Light couldn't reach the bottom of the pit.

"Well, you surely don't want to fall there."she stated.

"Not gonna argue with that statement."Dora agreed.

The two then turned to their group.

"Okay guys."Ester started, so Elves also would understand her."Who is the most tired, can take a little rest. Others, we need to get to work and set everything up."

"Yes, sir!"White Squadron members said, saluting.

"We will help!"Dark elves added, trying to copy the gesture the girls made.

Ester shook her head.

"Okay, let's get to work."she said, taking her backpack off.

She opened and took first of Tertan plasma charges.

Meanwhile…

Shwarz Forest

As all of this was taking place within the volcano, Rory was doing her task of searching for any possible dangers for the operation. After searching around the volcano itself, she decided to look through the nearby woods. She was jumping from branch to branch. Nothing unusual came to her mind.

At least until she heard the branches on her left moving. She stopped on one branch and looked around, trying to see what could make these branches move, but she could not find anything, that could be deemed as a danger for the mission. She was about to continue moving, until something actually reached her.

Apostle quickly jumped up, just as a giant blade cut the branch. Rory landed on another branch and started looking for her assailant.

"My, oh my, sister."a feminine voice said."I see you become a bit sluggish."

Rory looked for the source of the voice, until she finally noticed it. Blue skinned, draconic female, armed with a scythe and using her wings to hover in front of her.

"Giselle."Rory said."I could have guessed I meet you here."

"Oh, really?"Giselle replied."Because I didn't expect to meet YOU here. But well. Because you're here now, I will be able to take care of both things at the same time. You know the first one."

Rory did not had to think long, before she knew, what Giselle was talking about.

"I will not go with you to Hardy! And I will never become her bride!"she exclaimed.

"Oh, come on. She really liked you."Giselle argued."But if you don't want to go there by will, I will have to take you by force."

Draconic girl readied her scythe for battle, while Rory did the same with her axe.

"Try me, bitch."Rory said.

As the two Apostles started clashing with each other, there was one thing, that escaped Rory's attention. Too occupied with battle, she did not notice enormous shadow flying over their heads and continuing towards the volcano.

Back in the volcano…

As Rory had her meeting with Giselle, team inside the volcano was hard at work with placing the Tertan plasma charges. They were digging special trenches, in which the charges had to be placed, then covering them, after connecting them first.

Of course, it was White Squadron who did most of the work, with only few of the Dark Elves helping. Additionally, except of taking care of security of everyone, White Squadron members were also teaching Dark Elves how to work with high grade explosives.

"You connect this…to this…"Anastasia said, showing it to Ban.

Dark Elf nodded and connected the explosives with each other. After they were done, they covered the explosives and joined the rest.

"These are all."Ana said.

"Good."Ester said."Now, we just need to wait for…"

Before she could tell anything else, her radio came to life. She grabbed it.

"What is it?"she asked.

"This is Lon."Nashini said."I just wanted to report, that…we've got company…"

It could be clearly heard, that his voice was breaking. And Ester did not had to think twice to know, what he was talking about.

Her expectations were confirmed, when the air was pierced by a terrifying roar…
