Fate: Damnit
Harry Potter/ Fate Stay Night
II
Harry saw Hermione and Dudley lay into the books in Grimmauld Place. Harry hadn't had time to start cleaning the place up; due to Dawlish et al, he paused. He was rather torn, Dawlish was dead! He'd killed another man, again. Maybe, he hadn't moved on from the war as much as he thought he had, but, had anyone…really? These questions floated around his head
This was disastrous; this was going to make the full page. Harry sighed; this was going to cause ripples in the newly healing society. Harry Potter, War Hero Snaps! And Harry Potter: Dark Lord he could see those titles in the headlines.
Harry focused; he was above this. This would just be like when he was fifteen, and, the Prophets accusation of him being insane. He spun on his heal and vanished with a crack.
"He's beating himself up again. His actions and own violation have brought this on him, again." Hermione said quietly to a slightly confused Dudley.
"Is it though? Is it really his fault? If we're looking at this at a basic Police view, the who dunnit, where he dunnit and the why he dunnit etc…But mentally? What was the situation, why did that situation occur; yes, my cousin did put that man in the morgue but Hermione, you know him better than I do…Think about it."
Hermione paused, as she took Dudley into account. They'd only met at a distance; Hermione hadn't been impressed. Dudley, at that time, resembled Harry's description of a 'pig in a wig'. Now, the weight had fallen off him; it had done damage to him and would later show but for now he resembled a gym enthusiast who hadn't been in a few months; great shape but little bits of fat here and there. "We, the tree of us, helped in my cousins mental-state; we were awful Hermione. I, get let off the best because of the debate of 'nature and nurture' and the fact I was following my parent's examples. However, that doesn't entirely cover my own shortcomings; however, those dementors, yes, I learnt about the wizarding world…changed everything. I reached out to Harry, and we're developing the relationship we should have had."
Hermione nodded "Wizarding World, they messed up. I messed up." Dudley stared in disbelief about how the Wizarding World had well and truly screwed his cousin over.
"So, where's he gone?"
"Knowing Harry, to Gringotts. Yes, we wronged them; but they wronged us and the public will be all too willing to lynch the Goblins if it got out that they were responsible for backing the most recent reign of terror. Besides, if we're going to get you a Servant…Harry's family should have quite a few artifacts to be used."
"Any bets on what I'll get?"
"Wouldn't surprise me if you got a version of Harry."
Dudley's eyes widened "Is that even possible?"
"Remember, Harry has the worst luck you can ever think of."
Harry managed to avoid the crowd, through a mixture of flaring his aura with the intention of 'do not disturb me' and 'notice me not charms', he positively glided through Diagon Alley. He climbed the steps of Gringotts and as he entered the lobby his concealments were stripped away and the klaxons blared.
Armoured Goblins with an array of pikes, swords and shields rushed into the lobby "You have a lot of nerve returning here, Wizard. Considering your crimes against the Goblin Nation." Spat one armoured Goblin, this one clad in armour detailing him to be a Clan Chief.
"My crimes against the Goblin Nation? I have received no such summons or notification detailing me of such. I may well have committed crimes against the Goblin Nation, but you also committed crimes against us."
"He lies. This Wizard broke into the Goblin Nation, stole one of our guard dragons; killed several of our kin and escaped." Snarled the Chieftain.
Harry glared down the Chieftain "You never wondered why humans would break into Gringotts, the capital of the Goblin Nation just to steal a dragon? Going to Romania, Wales, Bulgaria or even Hungary would be much easier."
"Chieftain Bloodfang, of Clan Ruby, Wizard Potter is correct. According to our human workers, they hold him in high regard. He does deserve a chance to explain himself."
"If I choose not to, Keeper Griphook?"
"The Wizarding World will eradicate any and all existence of Gringotts from Britain and potentially the world." Harry retorted.
"I believe you will not Lord of Potter, Regent of Black." A deep booming but yet gravelly voice stated. Coming from the back of Gringotts, seemingly melting out of the marble, clad in a simple immaculate silver robe came another Goblin.
Harry, was sensitive to power levels. One doesn't have immense power or potent magical circuits, and not be able to detect others with similar power. "Your Highness, the One True Leader of the Nation of Gringotts. Gring the Fifth of his Name, of clan Otts." Harry murmured bowing a warrior bow towards the Leader of the Goblin Nation.
"Lord Potter, might I know why you so brazenly walk into Gringotts considering your…last visit?"
"Good King, I have come to set the record straight, access my faults and potentially put my affairs in order."
Ragnuck nodded "You stole a dragon of ours, killed and controlled twenty-eight of my kin; a quarter of whom kin by blood and robbed a vault."
"Lord Voldemort," The Goblins stiffened at the name "had created seven Horcruxes or Phylacteries, I know the term as I spent my sixth and what would have been my seventh year hunting them down. One of those Horcruxes, was taken by the LeStrange family and had been deposited in Gringotts. The object in question was Hufflepuffs Chalice."
Ragnuck nodded and turned to one of the armoured Goblins "Check the LeStrange records, run an inventory. If there had been such an object, then our position of legal strength shall be much reduced."
Eight Goblins rushed off, sounding very much like cats despite being in full-plate. It took ten minutes, an intense ten minutes as Ragnuck observed his subordinates try to intimidate Lord Potter. The Goblin King was impressed, the Wizard in front of him had rebuffed any and all of the attempted intimidations. "My King, the Lord Potter speaks truly. Our sensors built into the LeStrange vault gave off magical readings not too dissimilar to that of a Horcrux; speaking of those sensors, Lord Potter has at one point been a Horcrux."
"I didn't know…not until I was hit by the killing curse and didn't pass on."
"I propose a deal, Lord Potter." The Goblin King announced.
The King of the Goblins presented Harry with his assets; Harry quickly found that due to seventeen years of isolation from the Wizarding World due to Dumbledore's machinations Harry had construed an exceptional amount of wealth. Not enough to destabilise the economy, but enough to raise some eyebrows, Ragnuck's terms were for the next ten years; he'd oversee Harry's accounts personally and invest it wisely and ruthlessly and from those profits over ten years the Goblin Nation would take 30% on top of that they'd select three hundred goblin artefacts that had ended up in Harry's possession.
"Is there anything else?"
"Did the House Potter leave anything inherently magical like a sort of crest?"
"You're referring to a Magical Crest. You have Magical Circuits!"
Harry shrugged "Let's find out."
A blood test later, it was confirmed Harry's thoughts. He had magical circuits and magical pathways; his circuits were extremely potent and were partially active. Another painful ritual and a few thousand galleons lighter, Harry's magical circuits and pathways were harmonising and in front of dumbstruck goblins were synchronising. "Mr. Potter, wizards and magi tend to be incompatible and any hybridisation tends to either produce a squib or either a tremendously powerful wizard or magi; the most notorious became the founder of the Makiri Magi or Matou Magi family."
Harry's eyes widened, even knew of them "I thought they'd died out?"
"Not…yet. Nearly. Anyway, is there anything else?"
"Holy Grail War, I need information, my family crest and enough artifacts…"
Ragnuck nodded tensely "We have heard of such a war. Yet you are no Master."
"My cousin is…He, knows what is to come. Doesn't know the Servants of this war but only the more famous ones; he's supplying the command seals…I'm…"
"Providing the juice."
"And probably taking to combat as well."
Ragnuck grinned toothily "You're looking for Fleamont Potter's Mystic Arcanum Vault…or Gringotts self-defence vaults 1-7."
"My Great-Grandfather?"
"No…Fleamont Peverelle, a few more greats grandfather. A terrifying scholar with an equally if not more terrifying skillset for combat and summoning. He helped us, we helped him; all of your ancestors have a unique relationship with Gringotts; something we hope you will undertake."
"Get me through this War and then we'll talk."
Harry left the bank with a duffel bag of artifacts, ranging from shards of swords; fragments of a table, spear fragments and what looked like cracked helmet. Harry, jumped down the stairs of Gringotts the moment he cleared the anti-apparation boundary he apparated away.
He landed with a sharp crack in the Entrance Hall of Grimmauld Place "How'd it go with the Goblins?"
"I'm alive, they're slightly less pissed off at me. Words exchanged, deals made but more or less status quo is sorted. Turns out Paternal Side of the Family, helped them out a lot and unfortunately the arcane armoury is a fucking mess. It was evidently ordered at some point but then people just chucked things in; well I've got swords, tables, spears and a cracked helm. This is the other part of the Harry Potter adventure, none of the information found is very helpful aside from a unique ritual."
Harry laid the components out on the table "Dudley, it's your mark. I've only got potential Sabers, Lancers, an Archer and possibly a Rider."
Dudley nodded "I can work with that."
It went unknown to Dudley and Hermione but Harry had glanced a look at his hand and there, like congealed blood, in all their glory was triangle encompassed circle with a line dragged through it. "Harry…?" Dudley asked nervously.
Harry merely lifted his wrist "This."
"Oh. What do we do? We hadn't prepared for this…"
Harry smiled "We stay the course…Who knows this could result in me summoning me."
Dudley snorted "Do you have anywhere, we could do this?"
The answer to that was in the basement. Dudley's nose positively shrivelled when it came to the smell of cleanliness "What did you do, to get it so…clean?"
"Kill it, kill it with fire. Then scrubbed until my fingers bled." Harry explained. He clicked his fingers, Dudley and Hermione stared as runes began to glow and an intricate two-person ritual summoning circle appeared.
"That seems…a bit much to summon a Servant."
"That's because I needed to redesign the magical circle. The one that was before this was…not exactly people friendly; blood magic and types of magic that I wouldn't go near as the rewards are not worth the ordeal."
Dudley nodded "I'm also guessing that its like this because all I'm supplying the command seals and you're doing the heavy lifting."
"More or less. More than you'd think but also less; the Grail itself does the legwork; it's more like starting a car. Normally a Magus is the key and ignition with the Grail being the engine, in our case its you: the key, me: the ignition and Grail: engine." Dudley nodded, somehow that made sense.
"Have we got an altar?" Hermione flicked her wand and an alter appeared.
"Did you decide on your catalyst?"
Dudley nodded "I'm going to use one of the sword fragments, but if nothing happens, I'll use the helm."
Harry nodded, Dudley placed the sword shard on the altar. He raised his hand with the command seals on; Harry nicked his hand and slammed the free-flowing bloodied hand onto the ritual circle. He crouched, his ass nearly touching the floor as he pushed his blood and magic through the circle as Dudley began to chant.
"Fill. Fill. Fill. Fill. Fill. Let each be turned over five times, simply breaking asunder the fulfilled time. Let silver and steel be the essence. Let stone and the archduke of contracts be the foundation…" Dudley began.
As he did so, Harry could feel the magic reaching to him. Dudley couldn't properly activate his circuits! Harry's body began to pulse with magic "…The ancestor is Ignotius Peverell. Let my Cousin bear the Seals of Command. Allow our ambitions and dream flow to the Realm Sacred of Heroes…"
Dudley carried on "The alighted wind becomes a wall. The gates in the four directions close, coming from the crown, the three-forked road that leads to the kingdom circulate. Repeat every five times. Simply, shatter once filled. Yourself is under me, my fate(doom) is in your sword. In accordance with the approach of the Holy Grail, if you abide by this feeling, this reason, then answer. Here is my oath. I am the one who becomes all the good of the world of the dead, I am the one who lays out all the evil of the world of the dead. You, seven heavens clad in three words of power, arrive from the ring of deterrence, O keeper of the balance!"
The world turned white for Dudley as energy rocked through the basement. Harry saw two figures beginning to appear "Dudley…we're really in it now."
