I decided to go north from the village until the voices in my head simmered down. She'd be back before sunset and in that short amount of time I needed to find a way or regain a bit of self control.
A crack of thunder got my attention, I looked up through soaked bangs and watched as the sky lit up in a flash of purples and pinks. The wind started to pick up and that was my Q to find shelter. Granted I'd rather just walk in the rain considering the coldness and wetness of it kept me somewhat level-minded. But even as soaked through as I was I still felt hot.
A fever SICKNESS didn't create.
I shuffled to the right, back up against a boulder and scanned my surroundings. It was hard to sniff out anything in the rain. But hearing was a whole different acute since that came handy in times like this. I closed my eyes and cleared what i could from my mind, listening.
I could hear movement up ahead I squinted beneath my closed eyes. Listening to the footsteps. It was light and it's heartbeat was fast. An animal perhaps?
I decided to move forward again, walking towards the footsteps adrenaline coursing through every vein INTENSIFYING every pulse. ENHANCING every since I had. My sight, my smell, my hearing it intensified by 10 making everything louder, stronger and somewhat blinding.
I inched a few feet closer, then crouched down. I could clearly make it out by what the smell was. I narrowed my eyes and huffed out angrily. It was one of Koga's wolves. I stood back up annoyed that I wasted so much energy on a lowly fleabag. It stared at me as if challenging me.
I smirked and said " LISTEN HERE FLEABAG, I ain't got nothin on me nor do I have business with you. So get out of my way" I demanded. The wolf just stared at me as if dumbfounded by what I just said I rolled my eyes. " Leave it to Koga to stray away from one of his pack. Damn fool is horrible at being alpha, he couldn't lead a bunch of homeless skunks in the right direction." I mumbled, the wolf growled low barring it's fangs. " Psh don't blame me, ain't my fault your leaders and idiot."
The wolf tilted it's head then sat down staring up at me.
He must be going through changes too. The rain finally let up and the sun broke free from the clouds. Rays beamed down on me and I squinted my eyes.
I didn't know if she returned yet,
I didn't know if she was out searching for me. All I knew was the farther away the better...but then something hit me.
If spring hit hard on us Inu demon's that also meant it hit for the wolves too. My eyes widened. With out me there Koga has free range of claiming Kagome. " FUCK" I turned and ran back to the place I was running away from until the wolf stopped me. " OH, so you're a decoy to keep me distracted" I growled. " GET THE HELL OUT OF MY WAY, I have business to attend to and I REFUSE to be slowed down"
The wolf dug it's nails into the ground. And snarled at me. Blocking me. " Have it your way then" I pulled out my tensaiga. " I warned you..." The air circled around my sword merging with the wolf's demonic energy. " If you don't move then I'll have to make you move." An uneasy feeling settled in the pit of my stomach. I was wasting too much time. I held my sword up in the air and yelled out " WIND SCAR"
" You haven't seen him either? " Miroku asked confused. Sango shook her head
" Wonder where he ran off too?" He asked out loud. He heard someone call out his name he looked up and over the hill he saw Kagome waving and greeting them with a smile.
" Strange normally his at the well greeting Kagome" Miroku said to himself again
Kagome ran towards Miroku and Sango all bubbly and giddy. Shippo jumped into her arm's.
" Welcome back Kagome!" Sango said
She smiled and nodded " It's good to be back. " She looked around. Everyone was there... except the one she was hoping to see.
" Um, where's ..." She didn't finish she didn't have to they both just shrugged and shook their heads.
Kagome sighed. She straightened up eyes wide, a tingle rippled through her it started in her gut then traveled down her spine.
Miroku noticed and asked " Kagome? "
She looked at him eyes narrowed. " I sense a Jewel shard and it's coming in fast"
Miroku narrowed his eyes and palm slapped his four head. Sango released a sigh.
Up ahead was a whirlwind of dirt and dust circled around fastly like a mini tornado. Kagome knew who It was way before the dust cleared.
Sango mumbled " of all the days for Inuyasha to... wonder off"
Miroku crossed his arms and nodded agreeingly. " Indeed...the fool"
Kagome's eyes widened when Koga appareed right in front of her. He looked down at her and smirked. " Yo!" he said as he took her hand in his. Kagome swallow past the bail that rose in her throat. To keep from gagging she gave him a small grin and tried pulling back her hand. " Koga...long time no see, you're doing well I gather?"
He smirked " DAMN RIGHT, I'm doing more than well...and you Kagome" he paused looking her over, his eyes scanned from her face down her throat past her throat down to the rim of her breast past her breast to the fullness of her hips and downwards. A deep growl rumbled through his lips. " Look delicious"
She rose a brow confused by his awkward statement. " Uh?"
She didn't get to finish when she noticed something odd about Koga, there was a bit of red speaks laced within his blue eyes.
She tried pulling her hand back but he refused to let go. " Will you please release my hand" she asked
His eyes hooded over and he tightened his grip.
Sango and Miroku were by kagome's side . Miroku reached out and tried breaking Koga's hold on Kagome. " You were asked to let go, kindly do so or else" he said through tight lips.
Koga glared at the monk. " Oh? You threatening me you fake excuse of a holy man. You can't stop me, you too slayer" he looked past Miroku and glared daggers at Sango" your weapon is useless against me." Koga sniffed the air and noticed a scent that wasn't in the perimeter
" Mutt face run off on you again Kagome?" He said sarcastically
Things were gonna get bad way before they got better. *We're are you Inuyasha ?* Miroku thought.
