My Iron Giant
-Sea of Voices-
Everything was quiet, dark, peaceful. Izuku's mind drifted through the abyss absorbing the nothingness that stretched forever. Stars littered the distant sky, the only company he had in his dreams.
Staring into the dotted sky the thoughts in his head ran around him, creating fake noise that his ears never picked up on. It was cluttered, fast, jumping from one thing to the next. Izuku had always thought of things, muttered or rambled with thousands of questions to the world.
Something had changed though, whatever gave him the ability to think again was doing something else. It was beyond his thoughts, his questions, it was order and rules that he was given to follow.
He didn't know what they were, they were under everything he had in his head. Beneath the thoughts, under the memories, the foundation of his soul. Izuku never noticed it before, they were always quiet, like the rocks beneath the muddy water that rushed through the stream.
This time the water had become less dirty, the rocks visible and their sight bleeding through everything. Each one held something unique, a symbol, a code, a piece of a whole.
In his solitude Izuku had nothing else to do but reach out for the closest one in his mind. Mirroring his thoughts his own hand stretched out in front of him. It was dull gray with metal plating covering his forearms. They were littered with rivets. That wasn't how his arm looked like, but he never looked at it here.
Needing answers he grabbed onto the first thing he could feel in his mind that wasn't the stream of constant thought.
His body turned in the blackness until he was facing a familiar planet.
Earth.
He made out the oceans, the cloudy skies, and the land that made up a portion of it. There was more to it, a small dark cluster above the coast was swirling in a violent storm. His body was captured by the gravity of the planet, descending rapidly.
Once he got close enough to feel the air it began to burn. He tried to shield himself from the heat but that sent him tumbling through the air in a raging ball of fire. The ocean approached, the lightning flashed around him.
A crash to the water was the only thing he heard as the darkness overtook him again.
Ochaco was sitting next to Ida on the bus. She was the only one willing to as everyone else seemed to want to keep their distance. It threw her off so much, sure she got why Tokage would be upset with him but why was the class so weird with him?
"Hey Ida?"
His helmeted face turned to look towards her.
Oh gosh now that she had his attention what was she supposed to say? "So,um, you excited for class?"
He nodded. "Of course! This is an extremely valuable lesson to help us become heroes. I assume you're looking forward to it?"
"Yeah, of course! But, I can't help but wonder about.."
"About what?"
She sighed, it needed to be brought up sooner or later. Hopefully no one was listening in too closely. "What's going on with you and the others? I mean, it's not just Tokage. I get why she's not super happy with you after that."
He sat up straighter, if that was possible with his already strict posture regime. "Obviously I misjudged her feelings and intend to apologize once class is over in a more private manner. I am truly sorry if I made you worry over this."
Ochaco nodded. "It's alright. I hope things go well with her."
"As do I."
Even if he didn't answer her overall question, he was taking steps to do better. That's all that mattered to her, as long as he saw what he needed to do and was doing it.
Monoma had indeed listened in on the conversation, but kept quiet about it. It was in his nature to get every little bit of information around him and use it to his advantage, but he questioned himself again. Was that the nice thing to do? Is that what a hero would do?
This was so frustrating keeping everything in mind, to not involve himself or make a snarky remark. It's not about him, a hero helps people and focuses on that.
"Hey, you doing ok?" Kendo asked beside him.
He nodded. "Yes, why do you ask."
"You had a really intense face there. Were you thinking about those metal bits in you again?"
Ah yes, the ever present reminder of how his life shifted dramatically after having his ass handed to him. "Not really, but now that you bring it up I feel like there's something more to it."
Kendo shifted to give him more attention. "Like what?"
"Well, how do I put it...I think I might have more limits on my quirk now."
Their teacher listened intently but didn't interrupt.
Monoma continued. "When I copy someone's quirk, I feel it take up a slot and it stays there until I replace it with another or fifteen minutes have gone by. Now, I might have lost one of them permanently."
"You mean, when you copied Midoriya's it took it?" She asked worriedly.
He shook his head. "Not exactly, if I try hard enough I can find it but I can't use it. When I prod it to understand it like I've done with others I get nothing. Whatever using Midoirya's quirk did to me, it's not letting me access that slot."
Kendo frowned a little, trying to come up with a response or hopeful words. "Well, I hope you find out what it is. Sorry if I'm no help but I can't really think of what to do here."
Monoma sighed and put his head back on the cushions of the seat. "It's quite alright."
Vlad King's voice spoke loudly but firmly to everyone. "Get up everyone, we're here."
Nana floated about in the cabin area, swiping through screen after screen. Empty halls, little mouse bear thing, random class, oh some of the hero kids were sparing around. One was swinging big metal fists at this one girl who was flying around from, pigtail rockets?
Eh, not the weirdest quirks. She swiped again, pulling one up on Izuku again. Gosh she hoped he got better so she could properly apologize. Maybe even help fix his voice.
"Hey, where's the girl you kept talking about?" The fifth member of One for All popped up beside her in their little video chat.
"Why do you care?" Nana asked pulling up another camera. She hadn't seen Toshi come in for the day yet so she tried searching for him. Maybe he got caught up in his hero work that morning.
"It wouldn't hurt to check on her, isn't that ninth's current goal anyways? Watch over her?" One offered.
It's not like she had anything better to do to stay productive. If she could access the internet maybe she would be looking up other stuff. Maybe she could do that? She should try sometime. Thousands of screens flickered through, all scanning for a single face.
Finally one popped up, showing her with her class walking into a large facility. It was pretty far from the main campus, and the quality wasn't super great given the distance the camera zoomed in on.
Did that place not have any cameras? "Well, there you have it. She's with her class."
"How come we can't get a better look?" Fourth asked.
"Beats me, either no cameras or they aren't online." Nana shrugged, deciding to try and access the internet to look for All Might. Hey, that actually worked. Lots of cameras and recently recorded video showed he was having a busy morning.
"Could we access their phones?" Six asked.
Huh, actually she should have been able to do that. Doing another sweep for accessible cameras around her proved useless. It was a deadzone, not even the teacher's phones picked up on her radar.
"That doesn't seem right." A small worry started to build up in her gut. Part of her wondered if that was the robot telling her to keep an eye on Ochaco to keep her safe. Either way it was a good thing to do, but she wasn't going to be used by the bot to do it. This time it would follow her instructions.
"If the cameras there aren't working I'll just have to use the best ones around to get a look." She stretched her fingers, despite not needing to.
"What cameras around are gonna see through those walls?" Five asked with a hint of doubt. Nana grinned, knowing how to prove the confident man wrong.
"Are you telling me you forgot we control the best technology the world has ever seen?" She pulled up the stats of the robot, seeing how it was doing. It still had a good amount of juice in it left over from how much Izuku dumped in the thing.

[Yes/No]
She didn't like what it suggested. There were multiple options here of what that could mean. Lose her ability to help control the robot to give her access to the more physical parts of it? Or would it cost her more?
"What do you guys think?"
The rest of One for All appeared in their screens, floating next to her.
"Hmm, we're just using the sensors right? I don't think it would take up too much." Fourth commented.
"I don't trust this thing. You saw what it did to the kid to get it to move its foot" Five said.
"It's up to you Nana, it's your choice." One said before others could voice their opinions. It was a silent agreement. None of them knew what would happen and it might be risky, but only one person would potentially suffer from it.
Nana took a step back to think. She just got closer than ever before with her new "body." to interacting with the world again. But her selfishness is the whole reason why Izuku was in a bed, not waking up. No more of her whiny self preservation. It was a risk, but she would make sure something good would come of it.
[Converting interface sensory...rerouting...connection established]
She blinked, the world was dark but it soon litup. She could see the walls, or, what she could tell were walls. It was strange to see the lines highlighting so much around her. Thinking was harder but she could do it. The voices of the others were gone, but she heard so much and understood less.
Where exactly was she and how was she looking around? She tried to move her head but something came into her vision.

[Yes/No]
It was taxing just to look and keep herself together. Was this what it meant for Izuku? Everything about him converted just to move around and see? No, she wasn't going to use up her remaining self just to move.
"Hey Thirteen! I didn't know you'd be here."
That was her, Uraraka. Her voice pierced everything her senses picked up like lightning in the night. Naturally she tried to see the girl, and to Nana's luck the walls vanished one by one until her eyes narrowed down to her.
So much data ran through her head as she found the girl. But she refused to let it consume her. Nana would tune it all out to keep her sanity.

"Hey Thirteen, what's that?"
Shit shit shit! NO! Nana fought the urge to give in to the commands, to be consumed by the single tracked mind of the machine. She needed to be smart, handle this like a pro! This thing can't move without her permission, but if she gave it the machine would take over her and kill whatever was in its way.
But this was bad, several highlighted individuals in red came into her vision. Obviously this was a villain attack, but letting the robot do what it thought best might be worse with all the weapons it had.
She needed to fix this, but if she tried to divert more of herself it would consume her. Izuku gave it one thought right? One big wish for it to do with all his strength yeah?
Then she would do that, but not like he did.
Nana was going to fix as much as she could.

"Greetings, we are the League of Villains. Some of you will perish, but we will leave once our goal of killing the symbol of peace is completed." The dark misty man said to the class.
Vlad King had already gone to keep the hoard of villains off their backs, but the new threat ahead of them blocked their only exit. Ochaco tried to keep her calm, remembering all the intensive training Snipe gave her to remain cool under pressure. But those were all training environments, this was the real deal.
"Hm, he doesn't appear to be here. The schedule said he would be teaching this class." The man spoke again, almost uncaring for their presence.
"Everyone get ready to run out of here!" Thirteen warned, popping off a cap from her fingertip to use her quirk.
Multiple students braced themselves, ready to act. Ochaco tried to think of how to get out fast, but only a couple of them had the quirks suited around speed. Thirteen's quirk started to suck in the villain, but he brushed her off.
"You are an obstacle yes, but you hardly have much experience using your quirk in battle don't you?"
A portal appeared in front and behind Thirteen, causing her to rip her own body apart with her quirk. Ochaco acted fast and pushed Thirteen out of the way before too much harm could be done.
Some students like Ida, Pony, Honenuki, and Kuroiro attempted to take advantage of this distraction and do what the teacher had said, but portals swiftly opened up and swallowed what it could.
"You won't be getting passed me so long as I stand guard, but instead of leaving your goal should be surviving. Begone." He said simply, and a swirling mass enveloped many of them. Ochaco braced herself over Thirteen's body, to keep her teacher safe.
After a whirlwind of black overcame her class it vanished, leaving only a few of them behind. She looked up and saw that Monoma, Yanagi, and Honenuki remained. The last able to stay behind given he had ducked into the floor when the portals consumed most of them. He remained under but watched for an opportunity.
Monoma came up next to Ochaco, unsure of what to do next but offer aid to who he could. "How can I help?"
Below her Ochaco could make out a pitch black figure in Thirteen's suit shaped like a woman. Light bended around her with fragments of her back leaking a warped fluid. Her biology seemed to defy all logic, how were they supposed to help?!
She glared up at the villain who did this, but noticed something. Her well trained eyes saw a glimmer of metal underneath the intimidating stature of the shadow man. "Do you see that? I think it's his body."
The boy squinted hard to see what she saw but nodded once he did.
"It's unwise to attempt to plan in front of me, but good eye." The villain complimented, dozens of portals moving around at high speeds around them. "But you still have to get past me."
Monoma gave a slight tap on Ochaco and Thirteen to copy their quirks. He couldn't be picky here, he's just have to make do. "You think just because you have a fancy quirk that you can take on all of us?" He taunted.
"I already took care of many of you, your words hold no weight." The villain said back.
"I admit you did get the jump on us, but if I'm right you're probably one of the weakest. You can't fight, so you just send whoever you want away from yourself. The perfect quirk for a coward!" Monoma smirked at the shadow, who's yellow eyes squinted back.
"I see we have a rotten egg amongst the students. I feel no regret in sending you to an early death."
"If we're eggs does that make you a dirty rodent like an opossum? I bet if one of us got one good grip on you you'd hardly be able to do nothing but play dead."
Ochaco could hardly believe what she was seeing, Monoma was teasing the guy who just took out Thirteen?! "Shut up!" She hissed at him.
His message came across to the right person though, Yanagi was looking for where the others said they saw his body. Finally she found it, a pot of silver hidden in the mass. Honenuki poked his face right behind her and whispered.
"You get him, and I can book it over to the school and get help."
She nodded and focused her mind on the body infront of her. Her sudden change in demeanor was noticed by Monoma, who smirked even more.
Unfortunately for them this also went noticed by the villain who readied himself for whatever the children planned. "If you planned on distracting me you're horribly wrong."
"Not distract, surprise!" Monoma activated Thirteen's quirk and kept light on his feet as he sucked away at the portals. He could only use a fraction of the mutation without having his biology completely change but it did the job.
Yanagi acted fast and gripped the villain, spinning him around to disorientate him. Honenuki took his chance and shot out of the ground, ready to make a run through the door ahead of him.
Their foe created a portal to teleport himself away to escape the girl's telekinetic grip. He saw one of the students jump from the ground and run straight to the door. A quickly placed portal and he was sent to another section of the area. "A good plan, truly, but useless in the end."
Monoma tried to use Ochaco's quirk on himself and beeline to the door with a bound. Mid air a portal opened in front of him, ready to take him away. This was bad, he couldn't think of a way out.
His class was in trouble, Thirteen was injured, and he was limited in options. His pride took another hit, they couldn't do this, not right now. They needed aid, he had to get to the school.
He had to get help!

The others shielded their eyes as light exploded around Monoma.
*CRUNCH*
*STOMP STOMP Stomp stomp..*
Once they opened them, all that was left was a huge opening in the USJ where the door would be. Big footprints leading from where they were to the distance.
"Curses, he looked nothing like the images in the news showed." The villain said before warping away.
The Principal sat in his office, sipping at a cup of tea. He had many words to say to All Might once he showed up late to the school. He had a responsibility he signed up for after all. But he guessed the man was distraught after what had transpired, doing what he could control by doing hero work to overcome the clear feeling of helplessness concerning his successor. Humans tended to be overcome by emotions and act outside of their own expectations, to somehow gain a sense of fulfillment and happiness when the logical thing proved to be unsuccessful.
Emotions were running rampant of course, new school year, new teacher, teenagers with hormones swelling inside themselves. It was entertaining to watch. Part of the reason he became a principal of a high school instead of running a university.
*Rumble*
Ah, seemed another exciting thing was happening. Nowadays it always involved Midoriya, so he always kept tabs on the boy. Pulling up his computer he checked the cameras watching the teen. He was sleeping, nothing new.
So where did the noise come from.
*RING RING*
His little paw picked up the phone. "Hel-"
"The robot's on the move! I thought without Midoriya it would stay still!" Power Loader screamed into his little ear. What a surprising development, was it beginning to finalize the self repair?
"Where is it going?"
"It just broke out of the cement structure, heading right to the school."
Nezu tilted his chair to peek out the window. Yes he could see the giant moving at a quick pace right at them, the eyes focused on where Midoriya is. "I don't believe this is worrying, but be prepared to call up the Uraraka family to hire them for a repair job."
"Of what? Where we were keeping the thing?"
"No, Recovery GIrl's office."
Sure enough, the giant reached with its fingers to break away a portion of the wall of the nursing area. Its hand entered the new hole, pulling out an unconscious Izuku in its grip. The head opened up at the face, but Nezu noticed something.
Nana wasn't inside the headspace.
*stomp Stomp STOMP STOMP*
He turned around as his ears picked up the other robot approaching at a frightening speed. It was much different than the last one he saw. It was much skinnier with winged shoulders pointing up. It was mostly white with black around its arms and joints. Bits of red covered it face, chest, and encompassed the hands. The face of it looked vicious with a clear jagged mouth and sharp eyes. Nazu worried another fight was about to happen, but then it approached his window and spoke.
"Assistance requested, multiple hostiles engaging students and teachers."
The voice was deep and monotone, sounding nothing like Monoma. The principal didn't have time to confirm it or not, something else was happening.
He picked up the phone to try and contact the teachers overseeing the USJ facility, the direction where the new robot had came from. Nothing.
Nezu switched to his computer, checking the security over there. It was a blackout, nothing was coming to him from over there. He had to get in contact All Might ASAP.
"Shigaraki."
The man child covered head to toe in severed hands looked to the voice appearing beside him. Kurogiri appeared from a portal.
"You're alive, good. After that light and with the big hole there." He pointed to the front of the building. "I thought you died."
"Nearly, but I escaped in time, and so did the robot child."
He scratched his neck in agitation. While it was good his way out was still alive that meant other pros would be here soon. And that mech kid was here but ran away.
"I suggest we leave." Kurogiri warned. "All Might is not here and reinforcements are already-"
"Shut up, All Might will be here. We just need to generate a bigger threat." Tomura turned to the hulking mass beside him, looking towards where Vlad King was beating his goons relentlessly.
"You said that robot kid was here yeah?" His chapped lips spread into a wide grin. "Let's show the hero school we got something just as fun. Nomu."
Lifeless eyes snapped to its commander. Shigaraki pointed to the beaten up henchmen that were laying on the floor. "Eat."

Izuku began to wake up, wow his head felt funny. Maybe Nana tried something again? He glanced down at his body, bodies, what?! He held his hands up, all four, no, two but four.
He was seeing double, what the hell. On one side of his brain he made out his fingers of flesh in a suit inside the headspace, the other side looked at his metallic hands. They were white with black fingers, his forearms reaching up to him green. His chest stuck out with massive vents, completely black with small white marks and green lines intersecting. His legs were also white until they reached his feet, turning green with black soles.
He could hardly believe it, he was seeing both his bodies at the same time. How was he able to keep up with this in his head?!
"Assistance requested, multiple hostiles engaging students and teachers."
Izuku snapped up to the voice beside him, another robot stood next to him. Wait, what did it just say? He needed to confirm it. Izuku looked around to see where the trouble was, his exterior eyes scanning through the walls of every structure to witness what happened.
There, in the distance he saw it. He recognized a few of the faces, Vlad King beating up villains, Thirteen laying still with an open wound, and Ochaco over her doing her best to patch it up. Villains were attacking his class, she was in danger.
[Primary Directive: Protect -Ochaco Uraraka-]
Izuku's metal foot hit the ground hard, starting him in a dead sprint to the facility.
Vlad King was disturbed, the villains he was fighting also watched in horror as that thing began to eat their fallen brethren. Each time it took a bite it grew, the scared black skin bulging with an occasional bone sticking out.
"Hey! What the hell man!" One of them tried to smack the Nomu away but only had its head bitten off in response. The hero and villains recoiled at the sight.
A breeze passed by Vlad's ear. That was the only warning he got before he ducked. Dodging a hand that emerged from a portal.
"Wow, your perception is stupid high. Is your agility the same?" Tomura charged at Vlad King. In response the hero pushed out some blood from his gauntlets and created a shield to block the attack.
The red around it started to turn dark, harden, and crumble under Tomura's fingers. Once he passed through the shield Vlad threw his fist out to try and hit the villain.
He backed up fast, almost like he had a speed quirk, but the way he disintegrated the blood shield told him he was naturally that fast without a quirk. His true quirk though..
"You're the one who took down the barrier." The hero stated.
Tomura laughed. "You even got a high intelligence stat. With your quirk and large build you should have put your points in strength and dexterity."
He spoke in gaming terms, this guy seemed way too unhinged to be the person behind all this. Then again, he did plan on killing All Might. For now he needed to focus on stopping that beast from killing anymore-
*BOOM*
Part of the roof caved in above the nearby zone. A large green and white robot fell down from the hole and landed in the large body of water. It created a wave that began to roll over the ground right to them. Acting fast Vlad pulled enough blood out of himself to create a chain to anchor himself to the ground.
The wall of water crashed hard against him, pushing him around as he struggled to keep his grip. As soon as it came it started to rush back, flowing into the zone. Vlad cleared his nose and looked up to the newcomer.
Big metal body, green glowing eyes, part of him wanted to chastise the boy but another part of him was thankful for the backup.
"Oh, new design." Tomura noted stepping out of a portal. "Some repaint of Nu Gundam ver ka? I think I have a model of that one on my shelf."
Vlad glanced around him, that beast was gone but those two were in front of him. The rest of the villains were washed away somewhere, he needed to take them out. Taking a running start he charged at them, threw out his fist to smack the handy one, and
*CRACK*
"AAH!" He cried out on instinct but bit his voice back. That creature came back and snapped his arm! It was bigger now, standing at twenty feet tall and still growing.
"Nomu, take out that hero. I need you to play with our new toy."
The Nomu obeyed, smacking Vlad King repeatedly, back and forth over its head and into the ground creating two craters. The teacher tried to keep his consciousness, but it was useless under the creature's might.
Izuku looked around himself, quickly analyzing the new area. There were a few villains around, but most of them looked knocked out. Three stood out, a man made of shadows, a lanky guy with hands over him, and the creature that was smacking Vlad King around.
'Let go of him!' His eyes burned brightly.
"Nomu!"
That creature let go of the hero and lunged to Izuku. Thinking fast the boy used his massive hand to chop the water he stood in. A wall of it rose up, letting the Nomu smack right into it, slowing his aerial time down.
Izuku's eyes quickly scanned the ship next to him. No one was on board, good. He grabbed it with both hands and swung it to where the creature was in mid air. It broke in half on contact, bits of metal and machinery falling around them as the Nomu was sent through the roof.
His glowing pupils tracked it, watching it as it soared across the sky.
"What the hell?! You were supposed to fight it, not just throw him away!" Complained the little man below.
While worried about what the other villains could do, Izuku needed to focus on getting the hero to safety and making sure the others were ok. As gently as he could he reached out for the fallen man.
Tomura charged at his fingers. Izuku wasn't sure what he was going to do once he reached him but he didn't want to find out. Nana did it before, so maybe he could do it?
His eyes collected energy, the centers narrowing right next to Tomura. A focused beam cut between him and his hand, drawing a line between him and the villain. That spooked the man enough to fall back.
Continuing his task he placed the hero in his palm, taking great care not to jostle him too much.
'I've got him, but Thirteen was hurt too right? Is anyone else hurt that I need to find?'
On top of his vision all the students became highlighted with their conditions.
'Ok, those two look ok, and they look fine too. Looks like just about everyone handled the villains. There's so much I don't get right now, why villains are here, where the other heroes are, but I can help. That's all I need to focus on.'
"Izuku!"
He recognized the voice instantly. It was Uraraka's. Turning his head to face her, her eyes looked watery but the smile on her face showed she was beyond happy. His heavy footsteps trudged through the water and took him to land. It felt a little cramped in the building, but it was just tall enough to let him walk around without having to bow his head.
A couple of students started to emerge from their zones, slightly battered and tired, but all rejoiced seeing the giant with them.
"HELL YEAH YOU GUYS ARE SO SCREWED!" Manga yelled at the top of his lungs.
Pony pumped her fist and yelled with him. "Yes! All you burn!"
As Izuku leaned down with Vlad King a bunch of floating body parts approached him, noticing who was in his hand.
"Ah shit, he doesn't look too good." Tokage started, sending a coupe pieces of herself to help lower him beside Thirteen.
Izuku wasn't sure how he recognized who was and wasn't his classmates, but all seemed familiar to him. Clouded memories surrounded each one, but all were recognizable.
"Izuku." Spoke Ochaco. He turned his eyes to look at her.
She was wiping away the stray tears, her eyes sparkling with happiness seeing the giant. "It's good to see you ok."
He wasn't sure how to respond, or if he could, so he just nodded.
Multiple students gasped.
Tetsutetsu pointed his finger at the giant. "Did he just.."
"Yeah." Manga confirmed. "He nodded, like he completely understood her."
'I'm glad I'm not the only one confused as to what's happening.' Midoriya sighed inside the giant.
While he would praise whatever deity allowed him control of himself, it disturbed him Nana wasn't around. She was always there to help him, guide him, but not anymore.
"Hey big boy!" Tokage called out next to the fallen heroes. Izuku turned his head to her, making more students gasp at him acting less like a robot and more as a person. "Can you find the others and bring them here?"
Izuku opened his mouth to respond, but no noise exited. Guess that was still a thing. So instead he settled for a thumbs up and marched away to find the others.
Ida kicked another villain away, fire surrounded them in fake buildings. But the danger was real. He was sweating from all the heat building up in his costume. He could barely see with all of the fog that kept building up on his glasses, but it was better than fighting without them.
"Shroom shroom shroom!"
A few villains found themselves trapped in rapid growing mushrooms covering their bodies. They were rustic colored and very durable. Komori ran up to be next to Ida, shaking but still standing with a burnt costume.
"Can you make any more of that kind?" Ida asked, kicking away another approaching villain.
"No! I don't have any more water to use."
"Will those last then?"
"Mycelium is fireproof, but it won't last." She began to panic internally. There were lots of noises coming from outside and it was hard to make all of them out.
And out of all the guys to get stuck with it was this one. But he was a good fighter and was keeping the both of them alive.
Ida planned aloud."We should avoid more confrontation and find an exit soon. Otherwise-"
*SKREEAACH*
Both of them covered their ears as metal was tearing above them. Light from outside the fire zone poured in and bathed them in gentle rays. Both looked up to see twin green orbs looking down at them from above.
"Ah shit! I thought they said they could handle that kid!" One of the villains shouted.
"Plans busted!" Another said running away.
Ida and Komori watched as the rest of the villains around them ran away from the light. A metal hand descended from the hole and stopped right next to them with the palm out.
The speedster was flabbergasted at the giant's presence, but Komori beamed and jumped into the hand. She needed him, and here he was. "He's helping us come on!"
She had shouted to Ida, who took off his helmet, wiped his glasses and reexamined who had come. Without saying a word he stepped into the hand and nearly fell off as it started to move up. He thought the boy couldn't do anything unless ordered to?
Was Uraraka nearby then, commanding him to help?
But as they were lifted up and carried over to a large group of their classmates all they felt was exhaustion catching up to them.
"Kendo! Is that everyone?" Tokage's voice called out.
"Yes, besides Monoma but he went to get help earlier." The red head said.
Ida and Komori were lowered down and back to the floor. With numb legs the taller one dropped down to the floor. Komori slid herself off and recoiled at the sight of their teachers bandaged in pieces of other students' costumes.
"Thank you Izuku!" Ochaco called out to the giant.
"Yeah! Thanks a bunch man!" Tetsutetsu yelled out with two thumbs up.
With all the praise from classmates, Izuku wasn't sure how to handle it given his shy nature. He simply scratched the back of his neck and shuffled in place. The action was strange given how intimidating his appearance was, but it showed them that he really was human inside.
"SKRAAAEE!"
A horrible screech filled the air, making everyone clutch their ears to preserve their hearing. The opposite side of the USJ started to be ripped apart by a monstrous creature.
A few recognized it from earlier, but it had changed. The Nomu had turned into a gross lump of muscled humanoid meat standing a hundred feet tall. Small pieces of bone pierced out from under its skin, and rows of human teeth lined its knuckles and face.
"WHAT IS THAT THING?!" Tsuburaba shouted, wanting to throw up from how gorey the creature was. Awase did vomit on behalf of the teen, others almost joining in.
"It looks like the thing they had standing around in the center earlier." Kendo said, getting some startled looks.
"Only the devil himself could have designed that." Shiozaki said a prayer in her heart, hoping for her and her classmates to come out of there alive.
"Kurogiri, why did we have to call it Nomu?" A voice spoke from the bottom of the stairs. All turned to look at the lanky man who kept enough distance from Izuku to not get squashed. "Diablo fits much better."
"The name is overused. It would hardly stand out."
"Eh, guess you're right." Tomura shrugged. He then turned his sights on Izuku. "We were hoping to take out All Might with him, but he was a no show. Now we'll just have to settle for crushing his pride by taking out the next symbol of peace and his class."
Most of them recoiled, frightened by the thought of trying to take on the monster that took a step into the building. Izuku himself was frightened, but he turned his full body around and braced himself. He brought his massive fists up, energy humming loudly inside himself, and glared harshly with the power of the sun behind his eyes.
He would protect his class.
"DON'T WORRY EVERYONE!"
A booming voice landed at the entrance. All Might himself took a few steps in, ripping his tie off without a smile. "WHY? BECAUSE I AM HERE!"
Next time on My Iron Giant
Battle with the Nomu
Predictions, ideas, and suggestions on what should go down will be considered up until the chapter is released. I was going to have it all done in one chapter but then I realized how long it was becoming and I need to do other things in my life. I'll try to update this as fast as I can.
Monoma's mech form was based off an EVA UNIT 03. I haven't watched Evangelion but I got a couple requests for the mech so I threw it in. There were a couple different colored versions but what I described can be found by looking it up.
Izuku's new mech form is around a hundred feet tall and the look of it can be found by searching "PG 1/60 Gundam Astray Green Frame" There's a couple different versions with swords and shields and all that but just think of the base humanoid.
adislt:
Maybe, but it will be a while before I touch that.
Ezylryb:
Thanks!
Zabkiel:
Well, we'll see what happens with Nana won't we. We will get to see some gun action from Ochaco very soon. We didn't see it here because she hasn't been given permission to use one with her costume yet.
Tomura will get his punishment, guaranteed.
ZeroExia:
Eh, we'll see. It's not confirmed or denied. If a moment comes up and I think it will work I'll put it in.
Team5dsforever:
With their roles in such different positions Ida has certainly shifted to go somewhere else.
phoenixknight19:
I'm glad you're loving the story! As for shipping, I am split between Ochaco and Kinoko. One is done a lot and the other one not so much. Maybe I'll do a poll later.
Hurtturnip:
I might have written him a little too much of an asshole in the last chapter, but he is mostly just jumping to conclusions on some things. Tokage is also pretty reactive person and already had beef with him so it just ticked her off more.
Xyrothor:
I'm glad you're liking it!
Obsidian Nova Arc:
A mecha Nomu does sound cool, but we'll have to deal with this fleshy bone Nomu first. While I like reading Omakes I don't think I'll do it. All that effort could be going towards the story and I've got enough ideas going through my head.
Saramus92:
Hey! I'm super happy with all the art you've done still. Even though I used the gundam form, I gave it a different color scheme. I felt it would become repetitive to throw the same colors on different forms so I mixed it up a little.
CorvidsAreNice:
Haha! Yeah, he sure does!
FrostyMan122:
Never go full retard, and Ida did it.
Muhammad Ibrahim Faisal:
Thanks!
Random65:
Izuku got his stomping moment, but Ochaco's class had to get help someway if All Might was late.
GeneralTimber:
No hole, just Nana chilling in a box.
Animeguy1101:
Now that Izuku has more control over himself we're going to see a shift in Ida's behavior towards him.
guardiantoa:
I'm so glad you like this story! Technically Izuku's first transformation was a jaeger given his size. Later on we will see him use it again to fight something worth the size.
