My Iron Giant

-Flicker-

Izuku stomped his way down the street, following the cars to where he needed to go. He started noticing that the woods were becoming less...woodly...houses took up his vision. They were back, to civilization, and oh how much he wanted to go back.

Yep, once the Wild Wild Pussycats got in contact with the Hero Association and reported it in, they had planned on having Izuku walk the entire way back to UA. Because he was so far away and didn't have all the roads of Japan memorized he was given an escort by four cars of JSDF soldiers as soon as he reached the nearest road. They didn't ask much of him, just follow and don't squish anything by accident. Ochaco sat in the head with him for the first hour but when they got close to the first town she was instructed to be the face of the UA students.

Hence why she had to be out in the open, to show that she was alive and still willing to fight the good fight. Instead of walking in front of Midoriya or riding on one of the cars she elected to sit/stand on Midoriya's shoulder. It was a good image, something she was getting better and better at.

Izuku didn't know how she got all this courage to face crowds, cameras, and sure to be invasive questions. All he had to do, was follow the cars, not squish anyone.

Follow the cars, don't squish anyone.

Follow the cars, and-

Wow that is a lot of people.

He saw a large crowd of people starting to come out of their homes, all looking up to him and his massive form. Izuku's shoulders stiffened under all the attention, his nerves starting to tingle. Was he being a bother? Crap his footsteps must have made so muchnoisesosorryhetriedtomakethemmorequiet-

"Thank you!" Someone yelled, clapping. The others followed immediately, slapping their hands together and cheering.

Ochaco knew more about how to handle the crowd, she got training from All Might and others on how to handle people even if it was brief. He turned his massive head over to her.

She sheepishly rubbed the back of her head. "Ehehe, don't worry Izuku. You don't have to try and say anything back. Just, smile and wave."

Just smile and wave, smile and wave. Wait, he didn't have any facial features on his outer body did he? A quick peek to the side of his data screen, a zoom in on his current body, and analyzing his metal head showed the only real moving parts were his eyes and nothing else.

He would have to just have his eyes move in a way that displayed happiness. Lower shutters slightly up, upper shutters out of view, glowing pupils large and semi bright. Now, waving..

"WOOOO!" Despite his very robotic movements from over correctness and anxiety, they seemed to love it.

Guess it looked natural for a robot to move robotically.

"Pft!" Ochaco's sputtering laughter wasn't helping.

"Sorry." She said clutching her stomach. "You make a very good robot."

Two hours, two hours of walking through the towns and now cities. The message that they were back must have spread fast because it seemed everyone was waiting outside. Local police had to make sure that their pathways were clear, and to not disrupt traffic they ended up taking local streets to walk through. Streets that happened to have more houses, more people, it was so much.

He kind of wished he was mindlessly following orders right now.

On the other hand, it was...touching. People weren't looking at him like he was made of glass, or some disease, or something worthless. It might not be accurate, or appropriate, but he wondered if these were the kinds of looks All Might saw when he was in public.

"Hey Izuku! Look down there!" Ochaco pointed. He glanced down to see what she pointed at. When he caught a glimpse of a little boy holding something he gave it his full attention, stopping the cars around him as he came to a halt. That made everyone quiet down in anticipation, wondering just what got notice of the massive robot.

Izuku's glowing eyes zoomed in, seeing exactly what the boy was holding. It was a hastily made drawing of his current form on a piece of printer paper. A little Ochaco with an oversized head standing on his shoulder. He must have made it as soon as he saw them coming back from the internet or tv.

*pat pat* Ochaco's hand slapped his metal cheek getting his attention. She had a beaming smile on her face like she had the best idea ever. "Could you let me down to talk to him?"

Nodding, he held his hand up for her to jump on. Izuku kneeled on the road and lowered Ochaco to meet the boy face to face. He hid behind the leg of presumably a parent but was jumping up and down with all the energy his body could muster.

"Hi there!" Ochaco greeted with a big smile. "What's your name?"

"Steven Universe!" He said smiling with a missing tooth and wearing an oversized pink shirt with a yellow star.

"Hey little Universe! I'm Ochaco Uraraka, and this is my friend Izuku Midoriya!" She pointed to herself, then Izuku with her introduction. Izuku waved when he was pointed at. "Did you make that drawing? It's super good."

"Yeah!" He nodding, stars in his eyes. "Can I take a picture with you guys?

"That's so sweet!" Ochaco squealed to herself. "Alright, but only if we get a picture with you too, ok?"

Steven spun up to look up to his father. "Dad! We need a camera! Now!"

His father, who had very long hair and a very receded hairline patted his pockets. "Oh, hold on Steven I know I have my phone somewhere."

Ochaco chuckled, watching the boy bug his father who had so much patience. Finally he found the phone, Steven quickly running up to Izuku's hand (which was still lowered to the ground) and climbed on. Ochaco got right behind Steven as his father got a decent angle to have all their faces in the shot with the big robot. The little boy held his drawing to his chest and beamed to the camera. Ochaco gave a wink with a thumbs up, and Izuku attempted to smile.

Crap, he still doesn't have a mouth. Guess his eyes will have to do.

"Thank you!" Steven bowed heavily, almost bonking his forehead against Izuku's thumb who barely moved it out of the way in time. His dad picked him up and placed little Steven on his shoulders. "Wait! We have to get you a picture now!"

Ochaco just waved it off. "Just make sure your Dad sends the picture to the school's email. I'm friends with some of the teachers so they'll get it to me."

Little Steven nodded dutifully, ready to bug his Dad until he does it. He gave one last wave to the two teens. "Thank you for keeping us safe!"

Ochaco just nodded, getting hoisted away by Izuku's hand. As they continued their trek back to UA, Izuku felt incredibly guilty about that comment.

Keeping them safe, technically it was something that they did beating that Nomu. Yet he knew that wasn't what he mainly thought about during that fight. He just wanted it dead, and that isn't how a hero should think.

"OCHACO!" Her parents bulldozed her once she hopped off Izuku's hand. Unfortunately her super mech pilot suit that Izuku made for her vanished as soon as she left his palm. Borrowed t-shirt and pajama pants don't exactly help protect someone from brunt force.

Izuku felt the immediate need to act, to relieve her of the crushing pressure she was experiencing. Yet he couldn't find a good reason to. She clutched them just as tightly, enjoying the embrace of her parents. He wondered why they were at UA campus, but a quick reminder from Ochaco's memories he saw showed they had been there since the entrance exam working on student dorms and other things the school hastily needed built.

"Where were you?!"

"Are you alright?!"

"Did that Midoriya boy do anything weird when you were in there?"

"DAD!"

Ochaco backed out of the hug, smacking her father on the arm. Then she went back into the hug, squeezing her parents like it would be the last time. Izuku felt like he was intruding on a more private moment here, so maybe it was best if he kept his distance for a little while-

"And where are you going?" Ochaco asked, making him freeze. Her parents seemed surprised to see Izuku's reaction, being much more human than they remembered.

"Ochaco." Her father started. "Is he..ya know..better?"

She was going to correct his phrasing, but accepted it. "He's fully aware now if that's what you're asking. Izuku does what Izuku wants now."

Both adults visibly relaxed, an invisible weight practically flying off their shoulders.

Ochaco chuckled seeing them act like this. "Wow, you seem more worried about him than me."

"Don't take that the wrong way Ochaco." Her mother gently said, putting her hand on her daughter's head. "We had faith that Izuku would keep you unharmed."

"But." Her father continued. "We were left to try and convince that. She's been worried so much about her son and she made everyone know about it. I can't believe her quirk isn't revolved around her tears."

Mom, his mom. Izuku stood to his full height, scanning for if his mother was nearby. She most likely was home, not wanting to be in such a stressful situation and with all the people crowding outside it wasunderstandablethatshewould

"Izuku." A faint whisper, louder than anything else to him broke through the world. He focused on it, followed the source, landing his eyes on the short plump woman standing near the principal.

"Mom."

The teachers, the local officers, the parents, anxious reporters being kept back by a barrier, everyone that was at the school stopped to listen. Izuku's footsteps gently shook the ground as he made his way towards her. How long was the last time he saw her, really saw her and not through a hazy cloud.

He knelt down going as low as his head would let him without laying on the grass. Inko hesitantly reached up, cupping her hand across his metal cheek.

"Izuku?" She asked, a silent plea inside her heart to have her son with her fully.

"Mom." His low voice replied, leaning into her hand and closing his eyes. Izuku did his best to feel her warm hand, focusing on it and nothing else besides Ochaco's safety in the back of his mind.

He was back, and he had a lot of living to do.

"Is the All Might killer gone?!"

"Will UA hasten your learning to get you two into the field sooner?!"

"What were All Might's last words?!"

"How will Midoriya step up to the task of being the next symbol of peace?!"

Ah, the media. Ochaco had heard many nicknames for them by the heroes at UA. Vultures, self righteous story tellers, drama makers, sellouts, many of those could match descriptions of some of the questions she had heard. Luckily she got none of the perverted ones that Midnight had warned her abo-

"Will you do a cover for the 'Saving Sexy'" magazine?"

"No!" She flared up, face very red as she finally answered somebody's question.

"We were asking Midoriya.."

"He's a big robot right now! Why would he?!-ugh" Come on Ochaco, deep breath, count to three, and put on your war face. It was an accurate description. War, she was at war with these people. The business outfit was her uniform that made her more intimidating in enemy territory. They would spin a story anyway they wanted as long as it was entertaining and dramatic to get money. She had to keep the questions where she wanted them, and make sure she told the story truthfully and in a way that satisfied them enough to run and do whatever with it.

Behind her were her parents, Snipe, Thirteen, Principal Nezu, just like last time. Including her big friend Izuku standing behind them all and watching over the crowd. Looking into the back of the crowd, finding the biggest camera that had a convenient UA label on it, she began the story.

"As you know, my class had planned on doing rescue training at the USJ facility on campus. At the time we were making progress with Izuku and he was not present due to concerns about his size." Good, not entirely the truth but they would accept it as long as she moved on quickly.

"After a summary of our exercises were made known to us the self titled League of Villains appeared in great numbers from a villain with a warping quirk. This villain's name was Kurogiri, as stated by the supposed ring leader of this attack."

A reporter got antsy and cut her off. "You mean that he wasn't the leader? Where is the leader now?! If he's still out there then-"

"Dead." Ochaco cut him off with complete seriousness. "The leader and a large handful of villains died in their attack. The Nomu, the beast seen battling Izuku and I, consumed many of their allies in what we guess to be a way to enlarge his form."

"Soon after the attack began, Izuku rushed to intervene and helped evacuate my teacher, my classmates, and myself. Before the villains could counter attack All Might arrived and told us to quickly escape while he dealt with the situation."

"Wait, so you left All Might alone to fight that thing?! Why couldn't Midoriya just-"

Ochaco was getting really tired of getting interrupted as she had to mentally relive everything. "The Nomu had yet to attack in his full size and many teachers were on their way to give him back up. No one previous to this attack ever doubted All Might's abilities to handle any situation. We trusted him to take care of it, like he always did."

She paused, giving a moment to silently thank him in her heart. The rest of the crowd felt her grief for the hero, a downcast mood cast over the rest of them. Steeling herself and taking advantage of the quiet she resumed.

"All Might was a wonderful hero, and we are forever thankful for him allowing us to escape with our lives. I'm sure not a day will go by where we wish he could still be with us today with his smile."

A hand rose from the crowd, finally a polite person. She pointed at them, letting them stand alone to represent the reporters. " , what happened in there."

"I...wasn't there to see what happened." True, but she remembered it through Izuku's eyes. No doubt he would feel horrible about explaining what happened if he could even speak. It was exhausting to try and explain the rest, everytime she told them about a new discovery related to Izuku they exploded with questions. Ochaco kept the focus on the fight, how they were able to incapacitate the Nomu, and their crash landing near the Pussycat's.

"Now...Are there any questions?"

Oh she hated that part. They erupted once again, wanting the wildest things.

"What did the two of you do during your stay inside the giant?"

"Will Midoriya end up performing more space missions?"

"How will the sports festival factor in Midoriya's participation?"

Ok, first was was not something she decided to ignore. Second one kind of got her interest but what would they even do in space besides float around? Third was a good question but one she couldn't answer.

"Please keep in mind that Izuku and I have just returned from our battle, so we have yet to discuss with UA faculty on how we will proceed to go forth." She kept back an agitated sigh, letting the next stupid question roll over her head.

"Are you interested in participating with merchandising?"

Merchandise? Aka, how All Might managed to make a third of his vast income?

"It's an option we are open to do." She answered, thinking a little more on that.

"Alright everyone." Nezu said getting up from his little seat and making his way over to the podium. A tiny scissor lift hidden behind it just for him.

"We all want questions answered and plans made, but the health of our students are important to us. Thank you for being patient with the report of what happened at the USJ, but now that our students are finally back we have many plans to make. If there are certain things you would like to suggest or ask about we the staff would be happy to do so with what knowledge we have so far."

Ochaco stepped back and went to her seat, thinking about toy version of Izuku. There could be different ones for different forms, but they would need to be the original design version and not recolored pop culture mechs otherwise they might get sued. Oh! If she asked him to make more robot designs and use a new one for each appearance there could be tons of various toys! They would need to pick a favorite to run off for a baseline, and maybe some more rare forms.

Hero card collecting nerds would pay a fortune for exclusive never before seen styles he could make. If she got him to do public appearances, like carnivals or herocon they could charge for change requests. Example if they wanted to see him change into a medieval knight based mech he could do it for a certain price.

Oh yeah, it's all coming together.

"Ochaco." Her mother whispered in her ear.

"What?" She whispered back half paying attention half thinking on how much that calendar would pay for photos of Izuku's robot form. He wouldn't mind right?

"You've got that Grinch smile again."

"No I don't" She replied honestly. The Grinch smile, as her parents named, was whenever Ochaco was coming up with less than legal means to make loads of money. Like using her quirk as an underage worker to do heavy lifting for their constructions company. Or when she was smaller charging kids for rides with her quirk or offering to send some kid's science project into space for half the price NASA would.

Her mother gave her the look, the 'I don't believe you' kind of look.

"I was just thinking of ways Izuku and I will make money being heroes."

"Uh huh." Her mother just nodded along, doubt laced all over her words.

Geez, she was only trying to help their situation. Her parents would be lucky if they got hired to do the reconstruction of the USJ. After that though? They would be back to slow business, like usual. Someone had to take a chance at making a bunch of money.

"I'm just so happy you're back Izuku." Inko sniffed, hugging the side of Izuku's metal face as he sat outside the UA dorm building. Down below he could easily see Ochaco talking with her parents through the glass dome at her room.

"I'll admit, I could have handled things better." She said wiping away a stray tear. "But, I always had my strong boy there. When you were stuck here, and wouldn't look at me, it hurt. Then I see you fighting that nasty beast, getting hurt, it was all so much."

Yeah, it was a lot, too much if you asked him.

"Now though." Inko said starting to smile. "You can move your new body, you can fix yourself, and you saved a lot of people all in your first week at UA."

Izuku didn't fully believe he was solely responsible for saving so many people, but it's not like he could argue with them. He couldn't deny how blessed he is now, with tons of strength, a self repair/maintenance ability, and all sorts of cool powers, like flying! He was definitely going to practice that one a bunch. Yet, having his mother here felt so much better than knowing he could do all those things. If it wasn't for her, he doesn't know where he would be now.

"It's a shame you still can't talk too much, but you were always like that weren't you." She gave a weak laugh at the attempt at humor, but it sounded so sad.

"You'll be fine, I know it. You can do so much and I haven't supported you like I should have."

"Nno." He moved his mother away from his head, to have her sit in his palm right in front of his head. "U, gooood Mom."

It was all he could get out. He would have told her all the times she had accepted his new diet and spent so much time practicing cooking new meals for him. All those weights she bought him, the times she would go out of her way to get exclusive All Might merchandise he couldn't because he was in school. The hero fights she recorded at home so he could analyze them. She did so many things to support him, and even if she didn't know about One for All, she made sure he was as ready as he could be for the entrance exam.

She was a good Mom.

Without Izuku really knowing, he ended up broadcasting all those memories over his digital eyes for the woman to see. Making her want to cry all over again from the limitless supply of tears. This time, it was happy tears.

"Thank you Izuku. Sometimes I need to hear that." She rubbed her red eyes, trying to end the sniffling.

*vr vr* Her phone vibrated. "Sorry" She pulled it out. "But it might be the Principal or Snipe. I've been talking with them for-"

Inko stopped, just stopped when she read the text. What, who was it? Whatever it was he automatically didn't like it, but a lot of things have been happening lately so he should reserve judgment until he figured it out.

Inko noticing Izuku's gaze at her phone finally decided to answer him. "I-It's y-your f-father. H-he's c-coming t-to J-Japan and w-wants to see you."

His….father? When was the last time he saw Dad? It was so long ago he could hardly remember. Mom never talked about him much, just mentioning how he had to move to America for work but still sent money to them. If he was coming, then how was Izuku supposed to feel about that?

"Vvwwweeen, wwheen, when?"

It was so frustrating to relearn speech.

She fiddled with her phone, the device nearly leaping out of her hands when she got a quick response. "H-he'll be here on Thursday, just before...All Might's funeral."

Ah….That makes things weird. He appreciated his Dad staying married to Mom and sending money to them, even if he was quirkless for so long. Yet he always idolized All Might, and when he was younger kind of wished All Might was his secret Dad. Watching all those inspirational videos of the hero, the talk shows, so many videos of him saying anything a good father would say and Izuku imagined the muscular man saying them right there.

It felt rude to think about, but it felt like All Might raised him more than his own Father.

Snipe finally crashed on the couch in Principal Nezu's office to wait for him, Thirteen right beside him taking off her helmet. At first he thought she would look normal and it was just some cool costume that supported her quirk so she could go around safely. That notion seemed even more true seeing as how she never took it off around anyone. Nope, while the costume was designed with her quirk in mind she didn't need it. Her visual appearance was kind of hard to process.

It's like someone took a literal chunk of space and molded it into a human shape. Stars dancing along her pitch black skin like freckles. Her hair was like an ever flowing nebula, littered with stardust of changing colors, mostly purple and blue. And those eyes, those eyes seemed to hold the answer to eternity itself.

"S-Snipe?" She asked, her voice now unfiltered by her helmet. It was softer than what he had in mind, but still firm.

"Hm?" He sat up a little straighter.

"C-could you s-stop staring?"

He had been doing it for a while hadn't he?

"Sorry...I don't mean to sound rude or anythin' but.."

"I get it." She waved him off with a smirk. It was boggling how he could make out her mouth despite no light reflecting off her for him to process. The only proof she was there was either the absence of light or the stars that could be seen through her. "I don't take my helmet off much so when I do it..gets a lot of attention."

"I think that might be an understatement."

She laughed, putting her helmet on the coffee table. "Yeah, I guess it is. I only take it off around those I really trust."

"You...trust me?"

"Well, yeah."

"You hardly know me."

"Maybe." She reached to her side, opening a secret mini fridge that Nezu kept in the couch. While he always drank tea for meetings, he actually loved milk but felt it would make him seem more childish. Thirteen herself openly asked for strawberry milk at the cafeteria and so Nezu opened up to her about his secret stash. She took the cap off her beverage and took a sip. "Yet I keep seeing how much effort you put into helping your students. Especially your apprentice."

"She's different." Snipe sidetracked. "Lots of students here go for a certain aspect of being a hero. She says rescue, but she has talent for other things."

"Something wrong with being a rescue hero?" Thirteen nudged him, clearly baiting him.

"Uraraka could go into any aspect of hero work and excel at it. She's got a sweet personality that's good with people, but a foundation of strength and determination hardly anyone can match. I don't think there's anywhere she wouldn't be number one at."

"Everyone is saying Midoriya will be the next number one." Thirteen said leaning back into the couch. "You think Uraraka will be?"

"Midoriya's powerful, but so far Eraserhead's right about the kid. He would only be good for large scale operations, like fightin' that Nomu or carrying large amounts of people." Snipe looked over to Thirteen, who was listening while leaning on her arm and looking straight at him. "That's all we've seen so far, he's gettin' better and better with his quirk everyday. Won't be long before we see him find some new way to overcome an obstacle."

"Hm, true." She took a sip of her drink, casting her eyes to the window where the dorms were at. The lights were out, Midoriya's glowing eyes visibly drooping, slowly closing.

"Those two have had one hell of a struggle so far. It hasn't even been two weeks and they've got the country on their shoulders." Thirteen noted.

"They'll be alright." Snipe said, looking over past Thirteen. "You know what, hand me one of those will ya?"

Quirking a brow, she did so curious as to what he planned to do with it. He never took off his mask around anyone. As far as she was concerned it was glued to his face, or was his face. One time Midnight tried to take it off and she nearly lost her arm. Handing him the drink, she waited for his action.

He reached back, unclipping his gasmask and letting it fall into his lap. She was wide eyed, he took off his mask! His face was rather simple looking, not belonging with his gruff voice. There was stubble all along his jawline and reaching around his mouth. She guessed the last time he shaved was three days ago. He had dusty brown hair with silver blue eyes. Snipe took the cap off his milk and took a quick swig of it.

Thirteen opened her mouth to ask just why he decided to take his mask off. Hers was a personal preference, not some secret that she guarded! He once threatened a third year student who had a visual quirk that if they tried to peek under his mask their eyes would be filled with so much lead that it would start to poison their brain to make them forget ever seeing his face!

Snipe just smirked at her reaction, sipping away at his drink all smug like. "I was thirsty."

"Didn't you kill the last person who saw your face?!"

"Yep."

"Are you going to kill me?"

"No, that's illegal."

"...What?! How does that make sense?!"

"Last fella was a villain, gave me no choice."

"What crime did they commit."

"Breach of privacy."

"That's hardly a crime worth killing over!"

Both of them looked each other dead in the eyes, both putting on the best scowling faces that they could, then broke out in laughter.

*Click*

The tv in the corner flickered to life, static filling the screen. Snipe immediately threw his mask back on, eyeing the contraption. Thirteen eyed it, putting down her milk.

"When have tv's had static?" She asked.

"I think all them capable of that died out fifty years ago." Snipe replied, hovering his hand over his gun and keeping his senses open to everything around.

The static glitched, now barely visible figures able to be seen made of the fuzzy balck and white dots. There was a small familiar girl, stuck under some chunks and a giant looming blocky figure. Numbers ran by, analyzing parts of it before the screen flashed white.

The static glitched again, making out basic lines and more detailed shapes. There was a large orb behind a massive city, larger than any city they had seen before. Falling objects crashed down creating massive explosions, demolishing the beauty.

Thirteen and Snipe moved closer to get a better look as the picture became clearer and clearer, gaining color. They saw the earth from above, parts of it darker and covered in smoke. The picture suddenly zoomed in rapidly, as if the camera was falling from the sky.

It changed back to the remains of that city, large humanoid metal men stomping in coordination with one another. Lime green lasers coming from their eyes as they wiped the place from existence.

"What the hell?" Snipe asked, narrowing his eyes at the beams and how familiar its patterns were. He glanced over to where Midoriya was sitting outside now. His metal frame twitching slightly as he slept.

Flicking again, early quirk era military were firing at the screen. Shouting in fear and desperation as they fired as much as they could. The evening lighting was overcome by a massive green light. They all ran, dropping their weapons and trying to escape. A sphere of light engulfed them, destroying everything.

Thirteen tried to remember if there was any footage like this before, but early quirk days had little history that was reliable due to all the chaos and people trying to fabricate stories to blame the other side for. It was madness, and that's what she saw on the screen now.

It changed one more time, the metal men stomping through the barren landscape covered in ash where once was a city. The camera looked down into a body of water, a dark silhouette of a bulky figure with three clawed arms coming from his back and a metal dome for its head. Those blazing red eyes stared right through to her as the chest started to glow.

What was pure energy focused into one orb, collecting, building until lightning arched around it.

"Ah!" The screen turned off. They spun to where Midoriya was awake now, holding a hand to his head as his eyes went over to Uraraka. After confirming she was safe he shifted back into a comfortable position and sat there.

Thirteen looked to Snipe, bewildered at what just happened. How could she begin to hypothesize about what happened, she wasn't even sure any of that was real!

"My my." Principal Nezu said from behind them, folding his paws and looking at the two heroes. "I do love it when we're handed one mystery after another!"

UPDATE! YAY! Ok, so it seemed like nobody got my last hint so I pulled one from Iron Giant. Oh boy, is Izuku's piece of shit Dad going to crash All Might's funeral?! What could possibly go wrong!

If there's spelling errors please let me know and I will fix them. I also started crossposting on Archive of Our Own under the same title. My username is the same there as well.

StarSaber10:

The first one was, but it would be wise if they put a gigantification on all the future Nomu's and made them Kaijus. Also, Stain might come into play and still inspire Dabi and Toga to join the league. They need little people to do little people things after all. Got to be honest, I listened to the Pacific Rim theme on repeat when writing Izuku's arrival at the USJ.

I had Might U in mind when writing Ochaco/Izuku vs Nomu.

BlazingVictini09:

I'm sure she could just make her own minizuku toy to play with, or buy all of them when Ochaco gets merchandise going.

Xyrothor:

Thanks! Izuku's parade is kind of an impromptu thing that kind of happens but it would be a big celebration for Japan to see the new heroes finally show up. I'm so glad you feel that way! Keep up the good work on your story! I'm excited to see how you'll do the whole "Sending students off to wars" so soon in the story!

JacquelineWinterFrost:

When in doubt, use your greatest skills. Izuku's was analyzing and with a hint of robot powers in him he focused on that unknowingly. I'm super happy you're enjoying this fic so far!

Ah, I get you now. Yes I do plan on doing something like that for when he eventually learns how to slim down his robo body.

Sweet Kagamine Kiss:

Thanks! I mostly had the pacific rim suit in mind when writing this and Saramus92's drawing was super helpful to visualize it!

Random65:

They briefly go over how they're basically super heroes but we never get a good look at it.

fencer29:

Maybe, but All for One is still around if needs be to send out orders to him. We haven't seen the owl again, but "who" knows when he'll show up again!

Zabkiel:

Kurogiri is such an interesting and cool character in my opinion but hardly gets any well deserved time. Even in the manga when we start to see his background it's skimmed over.

Saramus92:

Glad you liked it.

Team5dsforever:

Ture, Kurogiri is super downplayed.

Pikapowerz:

Thanks! I'm glad you found some relation to yourself and many fics you've found here. Fights I think are hard to write in general. It's hard to sometimes understand just what kind of action the writer is going for and sometimes what you start having in mind isn't what happens. I wouldn't mind you reaching out, but be warned I might only send two messages a day.

RunOnSentences:

That's a good question, and maybe he does have a function like that from his robo self learning from All Might ripping Izuku out. It would be a while before we see something like that happen though.

Animeguy1101:

I did think about Mandalay, but it just kept reminding me of too many bad fics where she's one of the love interests. Ragdoll on the other hand, when gone into depth with her personally reminded me of good fics.

Yes, I have thought about a funeral scene where some people are going to show up and try to speak to Izuku and Ochaco during it. It would be a great place to introduce David Shield and Melissa to the story!

Dervuth evan:

Don't know if this was a play on words but fear not! Another update has arrived! I did originally plan to have this fic end at the Nomu fight but it got so much attention I would feel bad for completely abandoning it.

Raiden Tachibana:

I'm glad you frequently check up on the story! Sorry for not posting in a while but here's an update! I don't know if I'll add that ability due to Izuku already having so much power already. He just has to be smarter with it.

DragonshadowRyukage:

Hahaha! Yeah, you could compare Bakugo to Genos here! Though only Bakugo's arm is metal, nothing else.

Arakiisjogenius:

Thank you very much for that! I saw some popular stories get those but I never really knew what they were until now.

gunsmoke devil:

He's getting better.

KaijuSentai:

Nighteye is not going to be happy, at all. I'm glad you're liking this so far! This particular style of fanfic is hardly touched upon so there's not much reference on how to make it work well.

Harleking31:

And here it is!

Guest:

Owl isn't here for now, but possibly lurking in the shadows.

Craask:

I'm super happy you're enjoying this fic! Some of my favorites I decided to stay up all night and binge. The relationship between Izuku and Ochaco might have progressed faster if Izuku could talk, but without that they're stuck unless Ochaco makes a move. We know in the manga that's basically what's happening as well, so maybe with so many big experiences on her lap she'll decide to not put off her feelings.
