My Iron Giant

-Wrench and Coin-

Why?

Bakugo was clenching his metallic fist, hoping it would just crumble along with another certain rust bucket. Walking back into the walls of UA, he saw the flock of animals run right to the mobile destroyer. It was so close, right there, if he acted fast enough Katsuki was sure he could take it out and put together the shattered pieces of the future that could have been.

Should have been.

It wasn't just his own dreams that Deku had to try and stomp on, no, he was using All Might's death as a way to make himself look like they needed a robotic savior. Any doubts that the sheep had were gone when it was revealed Deku was related to the number two hero.

The nerd was always smart, but now he was terrifyingly tactical. Not even a month had passed since the start of UA, and now everyone was looking to him as their new All Might.

*BANGBANGBANG*

Katsuki whipped his head to the sound, ready to BLOW TO HELL ANYTHING THAT….it was just that bitch along for the ride. She had a gun, the school gave her a fucking gun. Guess you can get away with anything when they're too afraid to act against her plaything. Which way was it? Was she using her tits to take advantage of Deku, or was he using her to make himself look more human by protecting her?

Both maybe, they were using each other to get as high as they can like some sick symbiotic relationship. Dependant on one another to stay at the top.

Kicking open the door to his class's dorms, he ignored the others. Deku Deku Deku, it's what they were always talking about. It made him want to throw up.

"Welcome back." Big tits greeted him. She held out a paper to him, probably something he already knew.

"I'm sure you've heard, but because of recent events we can expect everyone to be moving into the dorms for security reasons. This is for household chores for the common area, sign your name next to ones you desire and-"

*Boom* He detonated the sheet with his metallic arm. That was a nice little trick he learned to take advantage of. The quirk tracker/inhibitor on his left wrist could only work on flesh. The fake arm though, used mechanical means to use his explosive sweat.

Bimbo scowled at him with her stupid eyes. Try it bitch, just try and hit him and that spoiled face is going to get blasted right off in 'self defense.'

Self defense...A wide sneer spread across Katsuki's face, making the taller girl back away from his apparent insanity.

Katsuki left the others to roll in the mud, a plan fit for a pro fitting together in his mind. He wished he could have surpassed All Might while he was alive, but Deku got rid of the number one hero to take that spot faster like the cheater's way. Now, Bakugo was going to flip the entire board on him and use a similar tactic to get to the top spot.

All while he threw Deku and his whore to the bottom of the food chain.

[Proximity Alarm Activated]

[Beginning Wake Up Sequence]

A shot of electricity went through his flesh body, waking him to full attention instantly. His cameras activated, glowing with that vibrant green. His surroundings were scanned, analyzed, terabytes of data downloaded into his brain and processed for him to know exactly what was happening. Izuku's metal frame was sitting next to Ochaco's rooftop dorm room. Moonlight was seeping through thin clouds, not that his optics needed it. Ochaco was asleep, along with hundreds of other students and a handful of teachers that lived on campus. Only a few were awake, Manga playing a game in his room, Hatsume sketching away at draft paper in the studio, that strange owl hunting in the nearby trees, and a midget with balls on his head on the computer holding his…..gross.

But only one person had triggered his alarm.

"H-hey." Komori waved her hand that peeked out of her long sleeves of the fuzzy sweater.

Izuku's single eye widened slightly, making out his own face on it. Well, the faceplate of his first transformation. The eyes were glow in the dark, sticking out in the night air. There was merchandise of him?!

"Oh, do you like it?" She stretched out the bottom of it, making the image on it clearer. It wasn't printed, it was woven together by hand. "I made it, n-now that I-I think about it it's a l-little embarrassing."

"I..liek."

Komori smiled, her hair covering the blush she was developing. "Sorry for not saying hi earlier, there was a lot of people and..yeah.."

The boy understood, wanting to stay out of the spotlight and the crowds. Unfortunately that wasn't a choice for him. Komori made her way over to the garden area, grabbing a small pitcher of water and going to her little spot.

"Do you...remember much before?" She asked, watering the dehydrated plants that didn't receive care for many days.

It, was fuzzy and distorted. He couldn't recall much unless Ochaco was there. Izuku mostly relied on her memories when he was mindlessly following orders. Things he experienced without her were cloudy, only feelings remained. But to answer her simply..

"No."

Komori stopped watering them, stunned by his uttered word. "O-oh."

She set it down, glancing at Midoriya but had no confidence to look directly at him. "Sorry, you probably don't want a stranger keeping you up."

Komori left the garden, heading to the door to leave the giant be. Izuku watched in confusion, not really sure if he should be doing anything. In fact he wasn't sure what she was doing up here in the first place. That other girl had already watered most of the plants when the students got back.

There was one section though, that was filled with mushrooms. It must be her area, filled with her plants. Izuku didn't want to scare her off, but he shouldn't force her to stay. They were well cared for, unique, and really itching at the back of his mind. He didn't see it before, but there was one patch that was glowing gently. It was like they were captured from the light that his own quirk produced.

Komori's hand paused over the handle, hearing Midoriya shift in place. He lifted his arm, pointing in the direction of the luminescent shrooms. "I..leik...thos."

His main eye turned to her, pulsating with every word. "U..made..thos?"

"Yes. Do you..want to see more?"

Izuku nodded, making the girl smile again. She showed him her quirk, the mushrooms she had been caring for, and talking to him about simple things. He liked simple, he didn't want anything complicated right now. No random father figure coming back into his life, no huge secrets being exposed, no expectations or worries.

Just talking to a friend about a hobby.

Izuku was sitting outside Ochaco's room, watching the rising sun as it broke the horizon. He wasn't doing too much thinking yesterday, just enjoying some entertainment and distractions to keep him away from the truth beyond the UA walls. It was nice, hanging out with all his..classmates? He never really participated in a class with them yet, but he was looking forward to it. Manga, Pony, Setsuna, and even that Hatsume girl were nice to be around.

Komori's visit had lasted longer than either of them anticipated, so he decided he wouldn't be sleeping. He hoped he would be able to see Mirio again. Besides Ochaco, he felt Mirio was the one who had really managed to reach out to him.

"Hoot."

The owl had returned, perching on his shoulder with its kill. Izuku thought owls were supposed to be nocturnal, but he saw it active night and day. It looked smaller than he had remembered it, but it couldn't be a different owl, it acted the same as the other. Maybe a test to see if it was the same..

"Go."

"Hoot."

Yep, same owl. Probably just went on a diet or something.

*SLAM*

"TODAY'S THE DAAAYYY!" Hatsume had barged onto the roof, equipped in half her oil stained jumpsuit and black tanktop. Actually, if that spot of white on it was the original color, then it was a testament to her cleaning habits.

"SCREECH!" The owl ruffled its feathers, trying to look as big as possible.

"Hey! The little furry guy in charge said I get to start my baby making club!" Mei pulled out a huge bag of rolled up designs, grabbing one of them to defend herself from the owl.

"I've already designed forty two babies to try out, twenty three tests for our metal boys each, and to increase our budget I made sixteen different mini baby makers to generate plenty of money for all our needs!"

*click*

Ochaco lifted up her window, awake much earlier than Izuku expected her to be.

"Did you say money?"

"Yep! We can sell toys, hero support items, household tools, so many new babies are flooding my mind faster than I can write them down!" Mei kept shoving paper after paper in front of them, showing the designs.

For once, Ochaco listened to the obnoxious designer. The further the pink one rambled the bigger Ochaco's grin spread. Izuku didn't recognize it. Her lips curled up at the corners, spreading farther than he thought possible.

"So, we can get this started by the end of today?"

"Yep!"

"What's our next step?" The brunette asked in a devious tone.

"We need to go fetch the other club members!"

"Let me get dressed." Ochaco put her hands on the window to close it, paused, and finally noticed Hatsume's attire. "Also, take a shower."

"Why?" Hatsume asked innocently.

"First impressions are important in business."

"You're right!" Hatsume examined herself, but didn't see anything wrong. "How do I do that?"

"At least you're asking now." Ochaco sighed, walking around and opening her door. "Come on, I'll try to help you out. If that's possible."

*Yawn!* Ben tried to stay awake, but damn he was tired. Well at least it was casual dress, so he elected to go with his jeans, black t-shirt, and green jacket with a ten on the side.

He got a notification the night before to report to the large workshop by the Principal himself. It said that things would be explained there, and that he could even get 'extra credit' so he could have a chance to join the hero course in his third year.

"Oi, if I got to stay awake then so do you." Ryuko slugged his shoulder.

He wasn't aware others would be here. Resident try hard tomboy was waiting in one of the foldable seats arranged in a semi circle. Soon Jenny had shown up, Zero Two going straight into the corner and napping, Rex was here as well. Then an unfamiliar blond guy named Monoma showed up with the redhead. In the room was much more equipment than he remembered there being. A lot of high end stuff you only ever saw at either conventions or I-Island.

"Hey! Well what about her!" Ben pointed at the girl sitting in the corner, sleeping against the wall. Her red horns sticking out from her pink hair kept tapping against the metal. It was amazing anyone could sleep like that.

"Eh, Zero Two does what she wants."

"Is that really her name?" A different boy asked in a red jacket with orange stripes. He fiddled with a pair of goggles in his gloved hands.

"It's what she goes by." Ryuko shrugged.

"That's not a real name though." Jenny said, stepping closer to the sleeping girl.

"Yeah, and you're not wearing real clothes!" Ryuko jammed her finger at Jenny.

"Pft!" Monoma covered his mouth to hide his laughter.

"It's my quirk! I don't need clothes!" Jenny said, her metal body clear for everyone to see.

"I don't think a lot of people need clothes, but here we are." Kendo said lazilly, leaning back in her chair. "I don't get why I'm here though."

"What do you mean?" Rex asked.

"All of you either are part of the support class or have tech based quirks yes?"

They all surveyed one another, confirming what she said.

"What's his quirk then?" Ben pointed to Monoma.

"You could just ask the person himself you know?" Monoma said, annoyed about getting ignored.

"You talk like a pompous rich ass sometimes, that's why we don't like you." Ryuko summarized.

"That's kind of mean." Jenny said, taken aback at the other girl's harsh attitude.

"Eh, she's not wrong." Monoma agreed.

Kendo put a hand on his shoulder, giving him a small pat. "He's getting better."

*Click*

"Hello everyone."

All eyes turned to the newcomer, except for the sleeping one.

"David Shield?!"

"Hello." He waved to them casually, PowerLoader following right behind the world famous man. Melissa was hardly noticed entering after the two, but she was used to that by now.

"Hm? Where's Midoriya?" David asked, not spying the giant robot.

"Probably following Uraraka, if those two are supposed to represent UA then we're- GaK!" Monoma was chopped before he could finish.

"Um, what's this about?" Ben raised his hand.

"Well, we're gathering the greatest minds along with some of the best technology quirk users in the world. What do you think?" Power Loader asked the student.

Ben pondered on it for a moment, putting a hand to his chin and contemplating the idea.

"Please tell me we're going to be making a bunch of giant robots." Rex jokingly pleaded.

"Well, that is something we're hoping to achieve." Melissa responded.

"Seriously?!"

"It would be easier to explain once everyone gets here." Power Loader tapped Zero Two's shoulder to wake her up. The girl let out a small growl in protest, but the man simply stuck a granola bar in her mouth to shut her up.

"Right, so who else are we waiting for?" Ryuko stretched her arms above her head, ready for something interesting to happen.

*stomp, stomp*

"No way." Ben's desire left him.

"We're going to be working with him?!" Rex slapped his goggles on his head, blue glowing circuits stretching across his skin in anticipation.

"Finally! I feel like I'm the only one who hasn't met Midoriya yet!" Jenny leapt up, excited to meet a fellow robot quirk user.

"For good reason." Ryuko huffed.

Everyone, even Zero Two were watching the doors for the famous boy. The muffled stomps turned into metallic clacking as his feet hit the tiles. They stopped right outside the room, the one who was going to change the world.

*click* "Hello investors, coworkers and-HOLY SHIT DAVID SHIELD IS HERE?!" Mei instantly threw away her little notecards, sprinting to the man himself and grabbing his hand.

"Hi! I'm Mei Hatsume, club president of Baby Makers Industries! Name pending. Did you receive my one thousand eight hundred and ninety six emails concerning-"

"Hatsume!" Power Loader shouted, picking up the girl by her button up shirt. "Yes Mr. Shield is here, but so is everyone else."

"Are they going to help me make-"

"And please stop referring to your inventions as babies."

Rex let out a large sigh. "Oh my gosh you guys, I was worried that girl was going to-"

"Whatever you thought she was talking about." Zero spoke in a distant whisper. "It gets worse."

Ben clapped his friend's shoulder, trying to soothe the teen. "Meet Mei Hatsume, the girl that will break your mind."

As everyone was overcome by Mei's...Meiness...Izuku and Ochaco managed to slip inside without notice, standing in the back of the room to listen to the presentation.

"Now, you wanna try that again?" Power Loader put the girl back down, letting her carry on but was watching for any sidetracking.

"Yes sir, baby making supervisor!"

"Please never call me that again."

"Right!" Mei stood at attention in front of the audience, the adults to her side and Melissa holding a controller.

"My name is Mei Hatsume, and the world sucks."

"She's not wrong." Zero Two pulled out a sucker, plopping it in her mouth. Ryuko held her hand out, getting one from the horned girl and enjoying her own treat.

"Hatsume." Her teacher warned.

"Well it does!" Mei whined. "We could be so much farther along with technology by now but instead we're too focused on quirks. Science and innovation have been about supporting quirks and heroes for the last two hundred years. BUT! What if we did it the other way around?"

Melissa recognizing where Hatsume was going, clicked a button on her remote, a holoprojector screen showing an arm being manufactured by a machine.

The support students that were there to witness the beginning of its creation sat upright.

"Hold on." Ben pointed at the screen. "Isn't that-"

"Yep!" Mei threw her arms out to the screen. "The local terrorist's beautiful baby that was created right here not too long ago!"

"Local terrorist?" David whispered to the support class teacher.

"I want to correct her but she's not wrong. It will come up in the staff meeting later from Hound Dog."

"Anyways!" Mei continued. "This wonderful, articulate, precise, nerve wracking~"

"Get on with it!" Ryuko stomped her foot on the ground, tired of watching Mei get off on her day dreaming.

"Fine..Midoriya's quirk was able to design a perfectly functional prosthetic arm to replace the one that somebody lost in a poorly picked fight! It's powered off micro engines generated by using the boy's fuel, is more durable than straight allows, and allows the user to still retain his sense of touch along with adding in new sensations to directly input to his brain the sweat levels stored within!"

Izuku still felt guilty about taking Bakugo's arm, and he wished he did things differently, but hearing all the features he put into it really made him think about how advanced his quirk is. The ideas he had for it, just came together and worked itself out. He never studied mechanics or electrical work more than his middle school education taught him, but it all made sense now, clicked together.

The rest of them were equally in awe, well for those who actually knew technology. Ochaco scooted over to sit by Kendo and Monoma, feeling that they probably were in the same mental boat when it came to all of this.

Mei waved her hand, images of Midoriya in different robotic forms performing different actions. Although there were pictures of two other robots on screen as well, Monoma's giant forms.

"As you see." Mei said pointing at several different features shown from the two. "This quirk has managed to create technology beyond what we thought we would be reaching. Only to stay in the realm of science fiction for centuries, but it's here! Freeze rays, self repair systems, life support, untold fuel potential, non fossil fuel thrusters! Instead of making babies to support quirks, we should be using quirks to create babies!"

Power Loader put a hand on Mei's shoulder to keep the girl from vibrating through the floor. "As she was saying, there's a lot of potential here to understand more than we thought we would in this generation. Global warming is still an issue, pollution continues to pour into the oceans, and we're nowhere near close to solving world hunger. If we let this chance slip by and humanity is backed into a corner that will be on us."

David came forward, nodding to Melissa to go to the next slide that showed all sorts of graphs and numbers on it that made Ochaco's head spin. "What we want to accomplish is to use quirks to help us understand how we can make what we need. We don't know how they showed up and we have no guarantee they'll stick around. If quirks are tools then why are we only willing to carry one around? So let's make more, let's find out what tools we can make here that everyone can use."

Melissa switched to another slide, one that showed drawn out renderings of various people. Colonies on Mars, flying cities, firemen wearing metal suits and entering fiery buildings, and lots of people with missing limbs enjoying life with creative prosthetics that held a variety of features.

"If everyone has the tools to help, to work, to uplift, to serve…then-"

"Anyone could be a hero." Ochaco finished, recalling all the times that Izuku so desperately wanted to be a hero but didn't have a quirk to do so. If quirks were tools, and they could make tools for everyone, quirklessness wouldn't be held in such a controversial area.

"That's the goal." Melissa agreed. "We have a good portion of Nezu's recommended here to start, but no one is obligated to help. If you want to leave now please do so."

In one humorous part of Ben's mind he wanted to get up just to mess with them, but this was personal to him as well. He wanted to be a hero, he messed up his chance and somehow a glimpse of the future was ahead and he could help make it. "Making the world a better place, isn't that what a hero's all about?"

"Couldn't agree more hombre!" Rex gave a knowing smile to his friend.

"For someone who's bloodline comes from Mexico you speak terrible Spanish." Ryuko teased.

"This is going to be so awesome!" Jenny lifted out of her chair from the thrusters on her metal pigtails.

"I have a question." Kendo raised her hand.

"What's on your mind?" David responded.

"What are Uraraka and I doing here? We don't exactly have quirks or technical experience. Right?" She double checked with the other girl, who nodded in agreement.

Power Loader motioned a hand to Melissa, who changed a slide to show Uraraka standing outside of Midoriya riding his shoulder wearing her specialized plug suit. Two other videos silently played showing Izuku fighting alone, versus his weapon creation and improved skills once Ochaco entered his head.

"You see, in Uraraka's report her and Midoriya managed to partner up and pilot his body together. While doing so we see new abilities shown, along with shared skill and thought. They were essentially two people sharing one mind and body."

The slide changed, showing a simple diagram that showed Midoriya connected to a machine alone versus two people. David pointed at the first and began to explain. "We believe this has to do with the ability to process information. Our minds, while impressive in their own right, can only do so much. Midoriya has a powerful quirk that is taxing to his mind, so sharing the job with another allowed him to use his abilities to greater potential."

"That explains why I'm here." Ochaco said. "But why Kendo?"

"It was who Monoma wrote down on who he felt comfortable sharing all his memories and thoughts with." Power Loader simplified.

That got grins from the other teenagers witnessing the blond bury his face in his hands. Except Mei, who was grinning for different reasons as always.

"You..you're willing to do that with me?" Kendo asked in slight disbelief that Monoma would actually be open to the idea that he can't do something alone.

"Are you trying to back out?" Monoma slipped into his defensive attitude, which always came off way too rude and self righteous. Seeing that warning glare from Kendo snapped him out of it. "I...You don't have to do it though. I wouldn't expect someone to be open to suddenly having their entire life exposed to a single individual."

"This will help people right?" Kendo asked, getting a nod from the adults. "Then I'll do it."

Monoma looked up at her in shock, not really expecting her to go along with it that easily.

"Just." Kendo started, folding her arms and not looking Monoma in the eye. "Try not to linger on certain memories."

"As long as you don't mention the thing."

"What thing?"

"You'll find out."

"So, what do we do first?" Ochaco asked.

"We gather data." David simplified. "We'll go over what we know the quirks can do, run some tests, see what we need to look out for, come up with potential uses and ideas, improve what needs to be improved, and go further and further until we hit a roadblock."

"That's really vague." Jenny commented, finally coming back down to the floor.

"We're going into uncharted waters, who knows what we'll find." Rex replied.

"So, unless anyone is going to be busy for the day let's spend our time wisely." Power Loader pushed a button, a large workbench emerging from the floor.

"YES! Less talking more babies!" Hatsume shouted with glee, already in her jumpsuit and bouncing on the balls of her feet.

"Can I put on some music?" Ben asked.

"No, don't you dare!" Ryuko warned, but Rex was already backing up his buddy.

'Yeah! Let's get something to get our minds pumping!"

"What did you have in mind?" Melissa asked.

"AC/DC?"

(Finally! Something actually good!) Melissa said in English, noting how she was speaking to a fellow American.

(I know right? A lot of Japanese stuff is just weird.) Ben replied, already pulling up his playlist and handing it to the girl.

"Hey!" Ryukko warned. "I don't know what you're saying but if I hear that damn song about the road to fire I'm going to-"

*Ba da da*

The electric guitar echoed over the speakers.

"It's not called road to fire." Rex said.

*Ba da da*

"It's called Highway to Hell." Ben strummed the air in beat with the music, finally getting to play his music around the girl this year.

*Ba da da, ba da da, ba, da da...ba da da* *cue drums*

Test One

David set a folder and a tablet in front on the bench in front of Izuku, opening the contents inside. "I know we didn't get to talk long at the funeral, but it hardly seemed appropriate to casually chat about...All Might's gift to you."

Others were working at various stations, testing what they could do with their quirks and recording what they were discovering with detailed scanners. David was alone with Ochaco and Izuku this time, managing to have some privacy.

"Do you mean.." Ochaco didn't want to say it outloud, but David nodded.

"Yeah, soon after Midoriya transformed he reached out to me and told me everything he could about your situation. Including the new quirk handed down from generation to generation." David said, shaking his head while still trying to believe that it existed. If he knew about it sooner he might have been able to help. But the past was the past.

"Leaving I-island is near impossible with regulations, national secrets and so on, so the plan was for you to come in the summer where I could take a look. With him gone, I knew I had to come right away so I signed up to be a support teacher here. Melissa came along, wanting to help out however she could."

"Sorry to hear that." Ochaco said, Izuku bowing his head in sympathy.

"It's fine." David waved their concerns away. "I think my time spent here will be much more productive than anything I ever did there anyways."

Izuku's finger lifted off his lap, flipping the folder open that rested before him. There was a picture of a boy there with tons of medical data on him. Blood type, vaccinations, a complete history of every trip to the doctor's. That included the most recent one, where every conceivable test was run through his blood.

David spotted Izuku already looking over the information, and pulled the same data up on the tablet. "Kota Izumi, he and his parents, the water hose duo, were caught up in a villain attack recently. Unfortunately both father and mother didn't make it, but he did."

Ochaco frowned, thinking how awful it would be to lose parents. She couldn't imagine losing her Mom and Dad, and this kid lost both so early in his life. Hopefully he didn't see too much. Her mouth let out a gasp when David showed the missing leg he had.

"Currently, he's in a medically induced coma. The wound has been stitched up, but is far from healing closed."

"So." Ochaco began to speculate. "You wanna have Izuku try and make him one?"

"Correct." David nodded. "It's slightly different this time, instead of an arm below the elbow it's a leg above the knee. I want to see a few things in this test. One, does he have to be relatively close to make them a limb? We have as much data here as we could get, in paper form and digital."

"Why have both?" Ochaco asked, looking at the folder Izuku was reading.

"That's part of another test we're doing at the same time. Midoriya demonstrated the ability to be able to command technology that's not himself to make Bakugo's arm within the capacity of the printers here. I have some analysis software inside both tablet and the printer here to highlight foreign code and send it back to me."

David held up his phone, showing the app he had opened. "Our first priority is to make a functional limb for the boy, second priority is to have it adaptable to his own growing body, and lastly is to have it compatible with his quirk."

"Quirk?"

"Woah, that was really good Izuku!" Ochaco praised the metal teen.

"His quirk is water gun, it lets specially stored glands in his body eject water through his palms. We estimate it will be much stronger as he grows given his parent's own strength and the generational quirk theory. His legs don't have any way to use his quirk, but maybe the new limb could seeing how Bakugo can use his quirk through his own arm, with added functions to let him release stronger blasts and precision far greater than his left."

Izuku looked at the folder, and back at the tablet. It was a shame this child had to carry so much already, and the villain attack probably been avoided if All Might was still around. He had to make it up to someone caught up in his mess. Izuku was going to make the best damn leg he could for this kid.

Ochaco waved her hand in front of Izuku's eye, the rapid blinking not responding. It worried her, but she knew he was doing something important. She didn't need him to be constantly watching over her or ready to respond. Meanwhile David was tapping away at his phone while trying to make sense of the symbols on the screen of the printer.

Izuku must not have needed the data from the tablet, using what he read from the paper itself. Yet, he could not get any kind of signal from the printer. It was working, the arms and nozzles already heating up the metal. Those strange shapes though, rotating, fluctuating, blinking in perfect synch with Izuku's eye.

"¸,ø¤º°`°º¤ø,¸"

This was a new language, and he wasn't sure what it was based off of. Was it for computers, or adapted from something else? Whatever it was, he wasn't able to record it by his usual means, having to use a camera to watch what was happening. If he wasn't getting anything from the printer, did that mean Midoriya had completely taken control of every part of the device to operate it? That was the only conclusion he could come to.

His computer wasn't picking up on any type of frequencies between the two, his app said the printer was dead, yet there it was. Operating at full efficiency to make the leg. By some stroke of faith the holo projection of the full design layed over the creating process showed the final design. It was...so much. He could see pumps, magnetic clamps, and so many other things.

Two of the parts stood out in the design. One was a generator that operated similar to a hydro dam, mixed with what he could only assume was a fission reactor. Was it a hydro splitter?! That was always the dream, to turn water into fuel. Yet no one had made any leaps in centuries, but the proof was in front of him that it worked.

The second one, was an advanced mechanical system built into the leg. No computer, no programs, just interlocking parts that react to the input from the host. He never even considered that better prosthetics could be made without something doing the thinking.

"This...is going to change so much."

Test Two

"What are they doing?" Monoma asked Kendo, both teens staring at Melissa creating an exoskeleton base with the help of Zero Two and Mei.

"I think they're making a super suit." Kendo added. Sure enough the best costume maker in the school, Ryuko, was using her own quirk to cover portions of it with 'life fibers.' Supposedly they can bond with an individual and further enhance the suit and the wearer

"Anyhow!" Ben clapped his hands together. "Let's do a quick review of what we want to accomplish."

"Right." Jenny nodded. "My quirk lets me make five brand new machines as parts of my body. I can wait until I see a need, and create something awesome! Unfortunately it falls apart if I try to take it off. Every time I go to sleep I reset."

"My quirk." Rex started, flexing his arm as glowing circuits enveloped it. "Is nanite. I have micromachines in my body that let me interact with most tech, but only if I'm touching it. I can make machines from my body similar to Jenny, but I need to have a clear design in my head and make it from scratch each time. So to make hero work easier I have ten different designs that I have created and mastered to the point it becomes muscle memory."

"Finally, my quirk." Ben turned his torso into a fluid state, stretching it as it turned black with green glowing lines. "Is upgrade. I can merge with any computer, oven, even simple things like a lightswitch and merge with it, drastically improving it. Whatever I upgrade has to remain part of me, otherwise it goes back to how it was."

"So what I'm going to do." Monoma shook his head, still baffled at the idea. "Is copy your quirks, try and use them all at the same time, and hope it solves my awareness issue while using Midoriyas?"

"It doesn't sound like a well thought out plan." Kendo admitted.

"You learn to improvise." Ben smirked to Rex, who just laughed in return.

"There's an inside joke here and I feel left out." Jenny whined, but then turned to the freshman. "But they're not wrong. In the hero course, you'll learn to make plans, but the chance of it going according to that plan is so slim that you're more likely to win a trip to the international space station."

"Weird comparison but she's right..mostly." Rex semi agreed, holding out his hand. "So, you ready to be heroes?"

"Hmph." Monoma huffed with a smirk. "Someone's got to show you cocky upper freshman what real heroes look like."

"He faces one villain and suddenly he feels like he's on top of the world." Kendo pinched Monoma's cheek, getting him to get off his high horse. "You didn't even beat him."

"It was a battle of wit and I won."

"Sure."

"Is this really an ok plan?" Kendo asked the teacher sitting with a tablet next to them.

Power Loader looked up, then at all the kids around him. "I'm so used to stopping things when they're too late I forget I'm supposed to prevent disasters. Let's do it outside in case he gets a form as tall as the."

Their group looked up to the forty foot high ceiling in the workshop. While it was large, and was fitting Midoriya's current form. If Monoma became something like Midoriya's hundred foot form, or three hundred and fifty foot form...oh boy.

"Yeah, let's do this outside." Ben pointed to the door.

Outside Monoma was given a wide perimeter, Jenny, Ben, and Rex already had given him their quirks to copy. Everyone besides Monoma was carrying or operating some type of equipment to scan what was happening.

"Ok kid! Give it a shot!" Power Loader called out, waving his arm.

Monoma took in a deep breath, feeling the quirks inside of him. They were all so similar to one another, mutations and transformations in one. Yet Midoriya's was different, it was idle, unyielding, Monoma couldn't will it to emerge like the others. It was waiting for something, proper input instead of just flexing it. This quirk was no muscle, it was an organ. A metal organ that he could upgrade.

Summoning Ben's quirk, his body neck down turned black with the similar colored circuitry of the American. The pattern was different, flowing alongside the permanent ports in his body left there before. Monoma was scared about what might happen if he merged with the already existing machinery in his body, so he wanted to make sure he would have spares.

He activated Rex's quirk, the nanites flowing inside the lines on his body. The two quirks intertwined, becoming one with the same purpose. Ben's upgrading, Rex's generation, and now Jenny's quirk, the one that lays out the new machines. Monoma wanted control of his own body, he wanted it to follow his commands instead of being a slave to the chain inside him.

Most of all, he wanted to be better than the sore loser he was and actually be able to defend his class instead of running away!

*BOOM*

A flash of energy came from Monoma's person, everyone having to shield their naked eyes from the immense explosion.

"Neito!" Kendo cried out. "Are you alright?!"

A shadow fell over them, the sun glinting off the white metal that stood before them. It was very angular in design, no round pieces identifiable. The arms and legs appeared like rectangles fit together, magnified by the tall shoulder pieces that reached above it's head. A single red line ran down the side of the torso and onto one of the shoulders. The face was stretched out, pointed outwards to whatever it was looking at. Two blue lenses peeked out through the windows in the helmet, looking down at the teenagers.

"Ok, I don't know what this one's from." Rex admitted.

"Does it look familiar to you Kendo?" Jenny asked the redhead.

"I don't think so."

"Hold on, lemme look it up." Ben pulled out his phone, taking a picture of the new mech.

"What are you doing Tennyson?" Power Loader asked, slightly cautious.

"Well, mechs, gundams, anything involving big robots have been growing in popularity lately. Some supernerd has got to know what this is."

Monoma's new form looked down at his hands, the two orbs looking back and forth between the two. He tested basic control, touching his thumb to each finger. There were two images in his mind, the one of his metal hands, the other of his own body inside a white room with a screen showing what was outside.

"Well, this certainly feels different."

"Are you in control?" Power Loader shouted up to the big guy.

"There's nothing suggesting I'm going to rampage if that's what you're concerned about."

"Just making sure."

Monoma's face turned to where Kendo was stuck frozen in awe.

"So, we're on a first name basis now?"

"Shut up."

"Got it!" Ben said, holding up an image of a similar mech in space. "From some old show Knights of Sidonia. 'Type 17 Garde Shiratsuki Remodeled Ver. Tsugumori.' Bless those geeks on the internet with random show knowledge."

The group didn't try anything crazy like lasers or guns, just checking to see if he could simply be aware and control the new body. From jumping, jogging, assembling a cheap log cabin, Monoma proved to be in full control of his actions and intent.

Blue lines began to overtake the robot, the metal underneath beginning to vanish. Piece by piece, the metal giant disappeared like it was always a hologram leaving a confused blond standing in place of it.

"I don't understand, I was in control." Monoma looked inward for the quirks, but only found the one slot taken up. The others were gone.

"How long can you hold onto quirks?" Kendo asked.

"Fifteen minutes."

"That answers that." Rex noted the information down. "Looks like the quirks you copy are the power source to your big robot transformation."

"Once you run out of time you can't keep your metal body operating." Ben summarized.

Monoma kicked the ground, really hoping he could have stayed a big robot a little longer looking down on everyone…..wait no not like that.

"Hey." Jenny walked up, giving his head a few pats. "Look on the bright side, you get to be as cool as Midoriya for fifteen minutes at a time still."

"I'm cooler than Midoriya."

"..."

"Guys, come on, it was at least as cool as Midoriya's other forms."

"What's next on the list Sensei?" Kendo asked Power Loader.

"Itsuka!"

Test Three

"Maybe we should let Papa run the numbers a little longer before we try this." Melissa warned.

"Nonsense! Failure is the mother of invention!" Mei said, plugging another cable onto a port on Izuku's titan body.

"Are you implying you're a failure?" Ochaco jabbed at the girl, not happy with what's happening.

"If I'm a failure, then that means I'm a mother of another fabulous baby!" The girl went on, not deterred in the slightest.

"Izuku, are you really sure this is ok?" Ochaco asked, putting a hand on Izuku's metal leg.

"Will...this...help?"

He asked her while looking at her directly. After some more experiments, Hatsume had approached them while the adults were evaluating their findings, the others off for a lunch break.

"Um, well, Hatsume said that it would-"

"The power you two hold works against everything we know about gravity!" Hatsume interrupted, plugging in another cable. "Think about it, you two were off in space yet inside you still felt gravity."

"Well, we were-"

"Whenever your giant form shakes around and gets punched, you don't feel anything on the inside!"

"Y-yes."

"So, you have something to negate forces, just like Newton hater's quirk!" Hatsume plugged the final cable in, running over to her computer and typing away.

"Newton hater?" Ochaco asked to Izuku, who shrugged in response.

"I bet Newton would hate you even more, but not as much as us about to reach out and figure out how a machine can bend the rules of gravity!"

Melissa glanced from her tablet, double checking all the cables were in place. It was hard for Hatsume to convince them, but the idea of the human race traveling the stars within the next thirty years couldn't be ignored. From wormholes, to new generators running off the universe. Everything seemed within grasp at this idea.

Hatsume flipped a switch, the computer attempting to interact with the power that was held within Izuku's body. When Ochaco asked if it was possible for him to let a machine do something to him, he made it happen for her.

"It's working! It's working!" Hatsume bounced, eyes dancing along the readout.

Izuku could feel it, the inner mechanisms activated, running, the very force that weighed him down suddenly within grasp. It was amazing, and the best part was, you couldn't break the rules of gravity, just discover new ones. After all, it's not like they could break the universe by messing with gravity?

But this was Hatsume.

[Alert, Gravitational Systems Compromised]

"Um."

"Not now! We're so close!" Hatsume shushed the giant, who looked over to Ochaco and Melissa with worry. It was hard to tell what emotions could be expressed in a single eye, but Ochaco knew everything about Izuku.

"Stop it." Ochaco warned, feeling for the sidearm she kept on her person just in case she might have to pop a bitch.

"Just a little more!" Hatsume pleaded.

[Alert, Gravitational Systems Failing]

"Wrong, break." Izuku cursed his limited speaking ability. He had gotten better but was far from true success. Something was bending, touching, things that shouldn't be.

"Shut it down!" Melissa pleaded, red lights started flashing around them, the cables shaking and thrashing around.

"Fifteen more seconds!"

"We don't have fifteen seconds!" Ochaco screamed, her voice being cancelled out as something pulled it away. The way all the alarms, the screeching metal, all seemed to drown in silence was terrifying.

[ALERT]

[GRAVITATIONAL SYSTEMS CRITICAL]

"Go, run!" Izuku tried to warn them, the very core of his soul being pulled, pushed, folding, straightening, the fabric of reality rippling at his center.

"I'm not leaving you!" Ochaco screamed back, pulling out her gun at the computer.

"Wait! Don't do that! It will blow if you do!" Melissa tried to shout to the girl.

"Too late!" Hatsume dove to cover, the inevitable already approaching and her instincts guiding her. Melissa followed, wanting to stay away from whatever was happening.

"Izuku!" Ochaco ran up to him, grabbing his metal hand and trying to guide him away.

[Primary Directive: Protect -Ochaco Uraraka-]

Sensing the impending danger, Izuku acted. Grabbing Ochaco, his cockpit opened up to receive her. The protective plug suit materialized around her, clicking her in place. This was the safest place.

"We have to get out of here!"

She commands, he obeys.

So long, that's it folks, stories over. Jk, that would be a terrible thing for me to do. If I die for whatever reason IRL then you guys can just imagine what comes next. The next few chapters are going to be unique, different, and something new that I'm trying out with someone. Stay tuned.

Now with a tv tropes thanks to Arakiisjogenius

Any questions, comments, or jokes are welcomed. As long as they're funny.

Jack Nisshoku:

That's one way to look at it yeah.

Hurtturnip:

Here, still stuck doing nothing but waiting and plotting.

Creator of the multiverse:

You bet they are, but there's not much they can really do.

Animeguy1101:

Any suggestions? Owl name, I've got lots of exosuit ideas.

Nobody Foot Soldier:

The frames are just for cosmetics, they don't affect functionality or features besides size. Also, what do you mean by cheese via BOT?

Planar-Walking-Entertainment:

It's possible to drift with multiple people, but they haven't really opened up a volunteer list yet. As for his first form it was just an original, not inspired from anything it just is.

Megatronus Uchiha:

Sometimes I feel like that with stories. You don't have to stick around but I suggest checking out some cool things that will happen within the next ten chapters.

Harleking31:

Suggestions for owl names?

Dracarot:

You bet they have sass nights where they go off on stuff.

The Mad Mystic:

That's kind of the point, though he does have his human body inside the giant for Ochaco to interact with. Romance is not dependent on physical intimacy, that's lust.

Craask:

Humor police, the joke is too funny!

It's the most fun to play for me, swinging around like a madlad, plus it works with Ochaco's recent suit upgrade in the manga.

Blaze1992:

I guess, I'm aware of Harry Potter and enjoyed the stuff but I'm not a big fan.

Obsidian Nova Arc:

It would be interesting to see, but I'm just writing big humanoid robot Izuku. No separation, no vehicles, no animal styles.

SonicMax:

His flesh vocal cords don't work, so he's already directly hooked to the speakers in his giant body. It's just like using a new part of your body you never knew you had.

theguyinblue:

If Izuku used One for All as less of a power source and more of a quirk he could. AFO is letting portal man run around and do his own thing right now.

Reishin Amara:

Congrats, you predicted him getting his robo form more mastered!

dragun95:

Happy you stuck around for the story!

CommandantCo:

Thanks! I'll do my best.
