Previously on Dragon Ball Super Aftermath: The Primal God

Beerus zooms toward him at insane speeds and swings a punch. Goku catches it as a massive shock wave causes all of the palace's windows to shatter.

Beerus smirks at him and pulls his fist back, walking back to his throne. "Just making sure you still have it, Goku. I think that Vegeta will come back sooner or later. We have to put our... faith in him."

Goku smiles. "Thanks, Beerus. You know, after all these years, you've become such a big softie-"

Beerus gets irritated and vanishes in front of him, knocking him on the head. "OWWW!"

He raises his fist toward Goku, his face a little red. "DON'T GET THE WRONG IDEA, SAIYAN! I am still the same! I am just... in a good mood today! Nothing else!"

He walks off and goes into a different room, leaving Goku laughing and rubbing his head. "Sheesh, he really packs a punch. Anyway, let's go."

Chapter Four

Later, Goku, Gohan, and Piccolo would be back in his dimension, training. Goku and Gohan would be clashing back and forth at an increasing pace while Piccolo watches them from a distance.

He crosses his arms, thinking of ways to train them. "I've taught them most of the Arhenahin techniques I know... What could benefit them...? I'm not sure how I can teach them that Voidic form... Wait... Gohan doesn't have Omni Evolution, so perhaps I can teach it to him."

He vanishes and appears between the two of them, catching their punches. "Let's pause the fight for now. Gohan, you don't have Omni Evolution, correct?"

Gohan shakes his head. "I've gotten close multiple times, but I haven't been able to get it. I want to obtain it before the new enemy arrives."

"This new enemy will be no pushover," Piccolo reminds him. "Omni Evolution will not be enough. Even if you two were to fuse, it wouldn't be enough, unless... I could help push you to high tiers. I've been working on a secret project that could get me to the position of a Tier Seven, maybe even next to Lord Arhenahin."

"What's the project, Piccolo?" Gohan asks him. Piccolo smirks and raises his hands. Electricity shoots off into space above, and suddenly, seven GIGANTIC orbs appear. They'd be half the size of an Omniverse.

Goku's jaw drops when he sees them. "C-Could those be... a new set of Dragon Balls?"

"That's correct," Piccolo replies, as Nygyn appears next to him. "These new Dragon Balls will be able to do some stuff that not even Lord Arhenahin can do. My goal is to give it the ability to bring back anything from the void and just about anything else. I call them the Omni Dragon Balls."

"When will they be complete?" Gohan asks. Piccolo thinks for a moment, then responds. "It's hard to say. My estimate is about three months. Once they are complete, they can hopefully bring back Vegeta and many others."

Goku jumps up in joy. "Yes! I will finally get to see Vegeta again!" Gohan wouldn't be able to help but smile as well.

Nygyn clears his throat and steps forward. "I will train you two and teach you new Arhenahin techniques that could greatly benefit you during combat. It might even turn the tides of the upcoming battle. Son Goku, you know about ten of those techniques at the moment."

Goku nods. "That's right. Vegeta and I were here for trillions of years. We trained under Zalama, and he taught us a ton of stuff."

Nygyn chuckles. "Do you think those techniques are the strongest? There are many techniques left you can learn. The fight between Lord Arhenahin and Akuma was so quick, you couldn't see it, but our Lord was using all the Arhenahin techniques at a rapid pace. After I have seen your Voidic Form, I can only conclude that you are the Infinitum Mo-"

Piccolo places his hand on his shoulder, and they make eye contact for a moment. Goku and Gohan would be confused about what Nygyn was going to say to them.

Nygyn sighs and shakes his head. "Err... Ignore what I just said. Anyway, there are many absolute techniques you can learn to ensure your victory. Perhaps you could be the second one other than Arhenahin to master his techniques truly."

"Why do you have such faith in us?" Gohan asks. Nygyn just ignores his question and nods toward the two. "Go full power for me."

Goku smiles and then grunts, clenching his fists. He yells, and energy BURSTS from him, a shock wave sending Gohan back. He roars, and clouds of glowing energy begin to go into him.

Another shock wave shoots from him, and his hair turns a more orange color. He lets out one final yell and explodes the outer shells of his body. He'd now be unrestrained by his body's limits.

Gohan powers up as well, and pillars of flickering energy shoot out of the surrounding ground. His eyes flash white and pink, and he yells, his energy bursting. He enters Ultra Instinct Stage Four, his hair sparkling.

The two of them land and get into a stance. Nygyn smiles and beckons them forward. "Show me what you can do in terms of power and experience."

Gohan would go first, zooming forward at an extreme speed. He'd swing a punch, and it would land onto Nygyn's face, but not do anything. Gohan's form is powerful, but it is nowhere near Omni Evolution.

His eyes pulse, and Gohan is sent flying. Goku leaps in the way and catches him before launching toward Nygyn himself. He places a hand on Nygyn's face, squinting. "Arhenahin: Pulsus!"

A pulse shoots into Nygyn, and he coughs up spit, being launched back. He skids and manages to stop himself, smiling. "Amazing how even a Tier Four can phase me like this."

Goku vanishes behind Nygyn and launches a Kamehameha at him. Nygyn deflects it and barrages Goku at extreme speeds, sending him back. "Obice!" Goku raises his hand and creates an Absolute Barrier, it blocking Nygyn's attack.

"Contra Obex!" A MASSIVE beam shoots out from the barrier and slams into Nygyn, forcing him to block it. "Tch...! What the?!"

Goku then teleports behind him, raising his hands. "Lux Beam!" He launches another beam toward Nygyn, and he smirks, turning toward him, and a clear barrier forms in front of him. "Arhenahin: Speculum!"

The blast slams into it and then is reflected toward Goku, forcing him to dodge it. Gohan takes the chance to appear in front of Nygyn and yell, launching a blast of his own. "MASEKAMEHAMEHA!"

Nygyn raises his arm and blocks it, grunting. He begins to skid back, shocked. "What the...? How is this kid so powerful? He doesn't even have Omni Evolution..."

"You should never underestimate Gohan," Goku says. "He's my son and one who always had more potential than I did. To him, it's not all about the transformations..."

Nygyn swings a punch, but Gohan dodges it and yells, combining Mystic with his form. He slams a punch onto Nygyn's face, sending a shock wave.

"... It's about development!" Goku yells. Nygyn is sent flying across Piccolo's dimension and manages to stop himself. "Fine... It's time to get a little serious."

At that moment, a tremendous pressure of energy comes from him. He vanishes in front of the two and slams a punch into their guts, sending them tumbling across the ground. "I would advise that you do not underestimate a Tier Five."

Goku and Gohan yell, their auras flaring up around them. They launch forward toward Nygyn, but he raises his two hands toward them. "Arhenahin: Lorem."

Suddenly, they are launched back at twice the velocity they were before but manage to stop themselves mid-air. "That technique sends someone flying at twice the velocity that they used to launch towards you."

Goku shoots forward and swings his fist. "Nubila!" Many glowing white energy blasts shoot out of it, and they slam into Nygyn, creating massive explosions. He walks through them, having a blank expression on his face. "That is not going to work as you may have intended."

Goku smiles. "I have different intentions." Nygyn realizes that Gohan is behind him and turns around to have a kick landed on his face. "Arhenahin created these techniques to be varied! ARHENAHIN: FORTE!"

He uses an unusual move that uses up all of his generated energy in one massive, concentrated attack. Nygyn grunts and is launched back, sent zooming across the void. After a moment, he teleports back, wiping dirt off of his face. "That was powerful. I commend you."

The two of them would be exhausted as Nygyn heals himself and turns back toward them. "There are a couple of more I can teach you. You will be here for a long time, enough for a month to pass outside. Existence depends on all of us."

Our heroes begin training under one of the most prominent fighters in the Metempiric Space. Even though only a tier five, Nygyn is exceptionally well, and his skill could match that of a Tier Seven.

More secrets are revealed about reality as time passes by, secrets that could change everything for the upcoming battle.

They would all be taking a break from training. Gohan sits down as he sees Nygyn holding a very ancient-looking scroll. "What's that, Nygyn?"

Nygyn looks up at them. "It contains an ancient story that most gods find to be lies. A big portion of the text is faded, and even when I tried to reverse time on it, it did not work. It must be so astronomically old that nobody can restore what it contains."

Piccolo nods. "I think I know what you're talking about. Zalama read it a long time ago before he became the dragon god. As you said, most of the gods do not believe it, but I believe this could be a key to finding out the secrets of our reality."

Gohan walks over to him. "Back in my time on Earth, I used to be a scholar. Here, give it to me. I'll study it and see what I can find."

Nygyn nods and hands him the scroll. "I translated it into English, so you should be able to read it." Gohan sits down and opens the scroll, studying it, and reading through it. "You're right. I can hardly make out any details..."

He goes down, and his eyes widen. "Void...? Orbs...? A time before us...? What does this all mean...?"

"I've asked myself the same question many times," Nygyn replies. "I've been suspecting that Lord Arhenahin has been hiding secrets from the gods."

Goku kneels next to his son and squints, reading the scroll as well. "Yeah, something's not right... Wait... I feel like I can hear something."

Piccolo turns toward him, intrigued. "Hear something? That's impossible. What does it sound like?"

"It sounds like... some sort of waving, booming sound," Gohan says. Nygyn walks over to it and presses his ear closer to the scroll. "I don't hear anything. Perhaps you hear the ambiance of the dimension."

Gohan turns it over and sees some sort of gibberish. "Huh? What does this say?"

"Nobody knows," Nygyn says. "No matter how good at translating you are, nobody has ever figured out how to decode it. It's the only section of the scroll still perfectly intact."

Gohan then notices how the text is going toward the middle, surrounding a space. There would be a marking in the middle. "This isn't a copy or anything, right?"

"No," Nygyn replies. "A long time ago, I discovered it in the Alpha Realm, not too far from Arhenahin's palace. Either it was lost, or it was thrown out. This is the original copy. Nobody, not even the gods, should get their hands on it."

Gohan squints, studying it for a couple of minutes. "It needs a key."

Nygyn raises an eyebrow. "A... key? I thought it was some sort of spell when deciphered."

"I know," Gohan replies. "It's just... I don't know. I'm jumping to assumptions, but that looks like some sort of marking. Something is supposed to go there." He turns toward the others. "The text might not be faded. It might require a key!"

Piccolo thinks about this for a moment. "If that were true, what would the key be?"

"I was told by Arhenahin himself that I was as strong as him in his prime when using my Voidic Form," Goku replies. "He might've sealed it a long time ago. Could that mean...?"

Nygyn and Piccolo nod toward each other. Nygyn sighs. "I can only conclude that... the key is the energy of the void. Whatever is there could be the key to defeating the new threat."

"There's no telling how we can obtain it," Goku says. "I've always wondered how Vegeta gave me that power in the first place. What if he was... persuaded to do that? There's no way he would've known how to do that."

"That could explain a lot," Piccolo agrees. "The only one I can think of influencing him is the new threat. Who else could do such a thing?"

Gohan hands the scroll back to Nygyn and turns toward the three of them. "Whatever it is, we'll have to worry about it later. For now, we have to train and get stronger to defeat the new threat."

Goku smiles and walks forward. "You're right. I think we've already surpassed Nygyn."

Nygyn chuckles. "About that... I have the skills beyond a Tier Five. I have been using minimal effort to fight you. Goku, you have a dormant power within you that you haven't used in a very long time. The power that you gained after the defeat of... Abzarus."

Goku looks at his hands. "That power, huh... Zeno took Vegeta and I's powers after we requested him to do so after the Oblivion war. However, we were desperate during the battle with Akuma. They were restored to allow us to get stronger, though it still didn't work."

Piccolo smiles. "Show us your power, Daishinkan Goku."

Goku yells, and his power awakens, a large aura shaking the dimension. Electricity shoots across the area as a ring forms at the back of his neck. "Heh... This brings back some memories."

"You can combine that with Omni Evolution," Nygyn says, "and you can also use that other power..."

Goku nods and yells, entering Omni Evolution on top of his Daishinkan transformation, his hair waving back and forth. "And then... Level two!" He activates the blessing power he got from Zalama years ago.

All three of the powers are used at once. His clothes would be glowing, the ring on the back of his neck would multiply. He looks up, and he'd be in his full power. "This is my full power."

Even Nygyn would be surprised. "His power... It's that of a Tier Five... That's amazing..." He smiles and beckons Goku forward. "Come!"

Goku places a foot on the ground and suddenly is in front of Nygyn faster than a flash. He swings a kick, and Nygyn blocks it, being sent skidding back. "Tch!"

Nygyn launches a barrage of beams, but Goku maneuvers around them. He then launches a large Kamehameha, which Nygyn deflects. Goku then vanishes behind him and begins to barrage him.

He is struck by all of the Saiyan's blows, being sent back. He is then kicked in the gut and elbowed to the ground. He gets up, and the two continue to clash rapidly, shock waves shooting everywhere at once.

"Amazing!" Gohan says in awe. "Dad's now going toe-to-toe with the Tier Five! He might be able to win this fight!"

However, Gohan is completely wrong. Nygyn smiles. "It's time to stop holding back."

Goku swings a punch, but Nygyn moves his head out of the way, dodging it. He then slams his fist into Goku's gut, causing him to cough up spit. "Guh!"

He then spins around and slams his foot onto Goku's neck, sending him flying and crashing across the floor for trillions of miles. He gets up and launches toward Nygyn again, yelling.

He'd rapidly barrage him, but Nygyn moves out of the way of all of his attacks. Goku coats his fist in all of his energy and uses the move to use all of his energy into one attack "Arhenahin: Forte!"

He swings it, and Nygyn just stands there, confusing Gohan. "He'll get destroyed if that attack hits him! What is he planning?"

Just before the attack hits him, Nygyn yells, "Armis!" The punch hit him, and a large trail of energy tears a part of the dimension, causing everything to intensely distort around them before it slowly goes back to normal.

Goku's eyes widen in complete shock as his attack did absolutely nothing. "W-... Impossible! How did you not take damage?!"

Nygyn grins. "Arhenahin: Armis. It's a technique where your durability is multiplied by hundreds of times in a protective layer."

Goku pants and falls onto his knees, powering down. "My body... Combining all three of those powers put a great toll on it."

Nygyn places a hand on his shoulder. "Restitutio." Suddenly, Goku's body repairs itself, as he is completely restored. "Huh...? What was that? It was like a Senzu bean."

"It is a technique that allows you to restore yourself or somebody else once a day," Nygyn explains. "In battle, you have to be certain who you wish to restore, as it could decide your fates."

He turns toward the rest of them. "This training will only intensify from here. Piccolo, you shouldn't just stand idly there. Help me train them."

Piccolo nods. "I suspected you were going to ask that. Fine. Let's begin."

Goku looks off into the blank distance and smiles. Gohan walks over to him. "What are you thinking of?"

"I'm excited about Vegeta's return," Goku says. "We have to train and get stronger, so we can protect everybody from the threat."

Gohan chuckles. "Yeah, I agree." Nygyn walks over to them. "I have shown you multiple techniques today. There is still more to teach that could benefit you greatly. We're in on this together."

Piccolo taps his staff, and suddenly, Goku and Gohan are given weights that knock them to the ground, causing them to grunt. "Let's begin your real training and enhance your power. I don't want to see you slacking off."

Goku struggles to get up onto his arms. "Oh, man... This is going to be a tough challenge..."

Gohan laughs, then groans. "Yeah... I have a feeling the power jump after this is going to be greater than we ever had before."
