Previously on Dragon Ball Super Aftermath: The Primal God
God's robes flow back and forth as he looks at his creation. "My true intention is to create life... To allow the Metempiric Space to live... I will allow them to mature."
He looks at his hands, thinking for a moment. "I will have to split some of my powers. It would be difficult to take that risk."
He raises his hand, a red glowing orb coming out of it. "Hmmm... This will be the first bit of life in the Metempiric Space..." He raises his hands, a bright light engulfing him. "It is time to split and create..."
He pulsates, bunches of small white orbs shooting out of him. "I will create a Tier System... It will range from Tiers Zero to Seven, with Zero being the weakest. I will split some of my essences into Tier Ones, and allow them to create their own Omniverses... From there, they will get stronger and will create life."
Suddenly, he sizzles, as he notices his power decreasing. "It will decrease my powers... From this day forward, my new name will be Arhenahin."
The white orbs shoot down, scattering across the Metempiric Space like crazy. He turns to the red orb. "Hmm... I will make this one my assistant."
Electricity goes from his finger into the orb as it deforms. A figure forms from it, as it looks up at Arhenahin, twitching. "L... iiifee..."
"Your name will be... Akuma," Arhenahin says. "You will be my assistant. You will be my right hand."
Chapter Twelve
Years later, Omniverses would start to form everywhere. Many founders create various creations. It would be the early stages of this reality. This is the untold story of the Metempiric Space.
Young gods would roam around, helping Arhenahin stabilize reality. Akuma stands next to Arhenahin as his guard and attendant. He'd be irritated that he agreed with Ryina's offer. However, he'd know she would've killed him if he didn't.
How should I kill Arhenahin? He thinks. Summoning the powers of the Void? No, that's right, I sacrificed it for the God Essence Orb... Wait, why don't I use that? Ugh... I don't have access to it...
While he is thinking, he hears a high-pitched sound coming from above. All of the angels stop and look outside the palace window to see a glowing light headed towards them. It crashes at the front, causing a large shock wave to ripple throughout the area.
Guards rush forward and surround the crater as a young being steps out of it, coughing. "Ugh... Couldn't I have been flung more li-... Oh..."
He'd be a weak being in terms of the higher level of gods. He'd only be about as strong as Zeno for comparison. He looks around, getting nervous. "Erm... Hello."
"State your business," one of the guards says, walking forward with his staff pointed at the being. "You have destroyed Lord Arhenahin's property. You are under arrest."
"Woah, Woah, Woah!" The being takes a step back, raising his hands. "I just got here! I had no intentions to land here!"
Arhenahin steps out of the palace gate, the guards parting when they see him. "What seems to be the issue, my children?"
"My lord, there is an intruder on your property," one of the guards says. "Apologies. We will escort him to a cell."
Arhenahin raises an eyebrow, kneeling to the being. "What's your name?"
It would take all of the being's willpower not to punch and yell at him. "My name's... Nygyn. Err... I was born a god and... I couldn't control my powers when flying."
Arhenahin nods and gets up. "Guards, the young god is pardoned. You are dismissed. Nygyn, would you come into my palace?"
Nygyn would be confused as the guards back off. He reluctantly follows Arhenahin into his palace. Arhenahin sits down on his throne, looking at Nygyn. "All gods were assigned to assist with stabilizing the fluctuating quantum foam that keeps this reality together. Why have you now arrived?"
Nygyn feels sweat going down the side of his face. He looks to the right to see Akuma. He'd try to contain his shock. He did not want to fail his mission already. If he did, there's no telling what Mother would do to him. She would kill him.
"Sorry, I'm kind of confused with the way things work around here," he replies. "I was given that order, but I was not sure where your palace was, my... lord."
Arhenahin raises an eyebrow. "I gave you the precise coordinates. Have you not learned how to teleport or follow them?"
"No, my lord."
"Hmmm..." Arhenahin leans toward him. "You are lower in terms of ability than a Tier Zero. Any being lower than a Tier Zero is always confined to an Omniverse, as they physically do not have the capabilities to exit that plane of existence. There must be a reason why you are outside those boundaries."
Nygyn would be silent, realizing Arhenahin is actually smarter than he thought from what Mother has told him.
"What is your Omniverse code?" Arhenahin asks.
"...Seven hundred and two."
He taps his staff and Nygyn feels himself shuddering. "Omniverse seven hundred and two does not exist yet. There are currently only two hundred and thirty-eight Omniverses in the Metempiric Space. I am going to give you one more chance to tell me the truth."
Akuma would be smirking in the corner at him. "Not a good idea to lie to Lord Arhenahin."
Nygyn would have an idea. What if he were to admit that he is a Caeleste punished by Mother and tell some of the truth, but leave the details out and make himself seem like a victim? He decided to go with this idea.
He decides to put on a convincing act. He falls to his knees, bowing down to Arhenahin. "My lord, I was punished! I am a Caeleste, just like you! I was punished by Mother, she wanted me to kill you, but I can not do that! I have pure intentions!"
Akuma's eyes widen, and he'd resist the urge to leap forward and snap his neck. It can't be, he thinks. Tch... That damn Caelicola... He knows that I can't hurt him now! Why is he here?!
Arhenahin would be completely shocked. He looks around to make sure nobody is here other than Akuma, then leans in toward him. "Nobody in the Metempiric Space knows about the existence of other Caeleste, so that confirms you are not lying... Why did Mother want you to kill me?"
As much as Nygyn wants to, he cannot say that it is Akuma. He has to follow Mother's orders. "She... She..." He'd choke up. "She thought you were too powerful!"
Arhenahin falls completely silent, his face expressionless. "Too... powerful? As much as Mother dislikes me, I wouldn't think she'd find such an irrational reason to kill me. I'm not surprised, though. What's your real name?"
Nygyn would know that Arhenahin has heard of his name, but has never heard anything about him, so this would be his chance. "My name is Caelicola. I'd prefer you to call me Nygyn around here, though."
Arhenahin sighs and turns toward Akuma. "Akuma, I trust you more than anybody else, so I will not remove your memories of this incident. None of this leaves the palace."
Akuma bows down to him before walking away. "Yes, my lord."
Arhenahin turns back toward Nygyn. "So, you are a Caeleste sent by Mother. I will help you rise in strength and get closer to your old self. Of course, it's not going to be easy. Welcome to the Metempiric Space, Nygyn."
Nygyn bows his head. "Thank you. When will be begin training, my lord?"
"I have been developing a Tier system, so I will train you when that is finalized," Arhenahin replies. "My original intention was to have the tiers range from Zero to Seven. Akuma is a Tier Seven, but that has not been revealed to the public."
He continues, "I am going to choose multiple lower tiers to train and become the foundation of different properties of the Metempiric Space, such as Strength, Power, Time, Cold, Heat, Speed, and others. They will control those natural forces."
He waves his hand and creates a list. "Since they will be Tier Sevens, I have decided I am going to create the eighth tier. It will consist of you, Akuma, and possibly a few others. Tiers seven and eight will always be hidden from the gods."
"Why is that?" Nygyn asks. "Why would you hide that much from your own creations?"
"Tiers Zero to Six is going to be the external force," Arhenahin explains. "Tiers Seven and Eight are going to be a secret elite force only summoned through critical emergencies. That is when the gods will know about their existence. The reason I'm hiding them is to not show too much information to potential enemies. They will believe that Tiers zero to six are the entire force and will underestimate them, but then they will be caught off guard by Seven and Eight."
Nygyn nods, understanding the system now. "I understand. You're only doing it to protect your creations from Mother or other enemies."
Arhenahin gets up, his expression toughening. "I am going to set some new rules with you around here. Having your own reality is very serious business. We have to protect so many life forms, we might as well call it infinite."
He kneels to Nygyn, staring him in the eyes. "Just because you are a fallen Caeleste doesn't mean you are an exception to these rules. I will not hesitate to punish those who break the rules. Even just one slip up can throw everything into chaos."
Nygyn bows before him, trying not to cringe. "Of course, my lord. What must I do to serve my purpose here?"
"Start by training under tier ones and go up the ranks as you get stronger," Arhenahin replies. "Remember, I will be keeping a close eye on you for the time being. Oh, and one more thing..."
He opens his hands and they glow. Just being close to them makes Nygyn feel like his old powers are within his grasp. "Should you gain my trust, I will temporarily restore your powers in a dire emergency. I've learned a secret technique eons ago when I was young."
Nygyn would want to reach out and take his powers back, but he knows that wouldn't end well for him. He leaves the palace, already getting tired of Arhenahin's voice.
Over the years, Nygyn would get stronger and stronger. He'd be growing faster than any of the other gods in the Metempiric Space. He'd have limitless potential. Despite losing his powers, he'd still have the skills of a Caeleste. He'd start to grow closer to everybody.
One day, he'd finally have a face-to-face talk with Akuma. The two would be completely alone. They'd stare at each other in silence before Nygyn speaks up, "What do you want, Tiias?"
Akuma chuckles. "Please, refer to me as 'Akuma' here. I wanted to talk with you. I've been thinking and I wanted to... apologize." He'd appear to have a tough time uttering out that last word.
Nygyn sneers. "Oh, really? You, the attendant of Arhenahin, want to apologize to me? You're the one who got me into this mess! You are the reason I... well... I was sent here."
Akuma raises an eyebrow. "You don't sound so remorseful about Arhenahin. Did your time here soften you up, perhaps?"
Nygyn clenches his fists. "No! Silence! Get to the point, Tiias!"
Akuma smirks. "I said to call me 'Akuma'. Fine. I wanted you to join me on my mission to kill Arhenahin."
"Oh, just now you're doing it?" Nygyn asks. "What the hell have you been doing all this time?!"
"Look. We need to work together to kill Arhenahin. Mother did give you that mission, did she not?"
Nygyn would go silent and look at his hands, then up at the energy clouds in the Metempiric Space. Akuma growls in frustration and grabs him, slamming him on the ground. "You have taken a liking to these fools! Tch... I should've killed you right before you landed at Arhenahin's palace."
Nygyn coughs and tries to punch him but it doesn't affect him. "Nygyn, today is your lucky day because I am going to let you live so we can complete Mother's mission and get the hell out of here."
He lets go and sighs. "I met a peculiar figure recently. He's been a Tier Four for a long time now. His name... is Gilo."
"We have a similar mindset," he continues. "We both plan to overthrow Arhenahin and have teamed up. We need you, Caelicola. We will meet here in secret every five years to develop our ultimate plan. Will you join us?"
Nygyn would walk up to him and shake his hand. "Fine. When is our first meeting?"
Akuma smirks, turning around and walking away. "Meet us here in two hours. Do not be late." He vanishes, leaving Nygyn alone.
Nygyn would regret his decision to join him, but he knows it's for the greater good.
He'd come back two hours later to see two figures. He flies over and meets up with Akuma and a second figure. He'd have a Black robe with red patterns on it. The rest of his body would be blue.
"Good," Akuma says, "you showed up. I guess you do have some sense left in you."
"Why did you recruit a tier four again?" Nygyn asks him. "They are weaklings."
"That is where you are wrong." Gilo walks forward and holds something in his hand. He hands over a scroll to Nygyn. He opens it and begins to read it, his eyes widening. "Th-Th-This can't be... How?!"
This scroll would have all of the answers, even the key to killing the mother of the void: Ryina. In the distant future, our main cast would have been given it by Nygyn to read, despite being mostly deciphered. It would only be unlocked through the powers of the Void. Here is a recap:
They would all be taking a break from training. Gohan sits down as he sees Nygyn holding a very ancient-looking scroll. "What's that, Nygyn?"
Nygyn looks up at them. "It contains an ancient story that most gods find to be lies. A big portion of the text is faded, and even when I tried to reverse time on it, it did not work. It must be so astronomically old that nobody can restore what it contains."
Piccolo nods. "I think I know what you're talking about. Zalama read it a long time ago before he became the dragon god. As you said, most of the gods do not believe it, but I believe this could be a key to finding out the secrets of our reality."
Gohan walks over to him. "Back in my time on Earth, I used to be a scholar. Here, give it to me. I'll study it and see what I can find."
Nygyn would be shuddering before looking back up at the two. "Do you realize how dangerous this information is?! Mother would literally do anything just to get her hands on this! ...How did you get this anyway?!"
"For years, I have been a spy for Mother," Gilo replies. "I have been her spy since I was created. I've been in every single reality at least once. I wanted to lay low to not cause suspicion, so I very slowly gained power."
He points to the scroll. "I found that scroll at deepest parts of the Void. There, I met the ultimate Caeleste..."
Akuma raises his hand and creates a projection. There would be a pulsating barrier of infinite size at the deepest bits of the Void. You wouldn't be able to see the other side of it.
"The edge of infinity..." Nygyn stares in awe. "It can't be... How is it possible?"
"It's the barrier that contains the void," Gilo explains. "However, no god except that one, Mother, and I have ever been able to get there. This is infinity we're talking about."
The void in the projection would be blood red and there would be random cracks everywhere. It zooms in on a figure that is pure darkness. "... He's the god of fate, Mother's right hand."
He takes the scroll and raises it to the air. "This scroll... reveals all of the void's secrets! It is the creation of Unmei, the Caeleste of fate!"
Nygyn clenches his fists. "Are you planning to betray Mother and kill her, Akuma?"
"Don't jump to conclusions," Akuma lies. "Yes, this is the key to defeating her, but that's not what I am after. I will figure out how to obtain the powers of the Void once again and kill Arhenahin. However, this scroll takes time to decipher."
"How long?"
"About a trillion years per letter," Akuma replies. "Yes, it's that difficult. The symbols are so complex and cleverly created that it's beyond difficult to decipher them. However, if we can decipher this entire scroll, we will have control over everything that exists."
"Why do some of the letters look faded?"
"It is very old," Gilo explains. "I suspect it was written at the beginning of creation itself. I found this scroll a very long time ago, about one hundred trillion years to be exact."
"How much have you deciphered?" Akuma asks.
Gilo opens the scroll and would have many letters written over the original ones. "I will read what I have deciphered so far. I have only managed to decipher one hundred letters."
He clears his throat and begins. "There was one object before Ryina the goddess of the Void existed. It gave birth to her. The name of this orb was previously u..." He looks up, his face expressionless. "That's it."
Nygyn trembles in complete shock. "That's... that's a lie... Nothing existed before Mother. She's been here since infinity!"
"Everything has a beginning," Gilo replies calmly. "The god of fate does not lie. What this orb contained is completely unknown."
Akuma looks at Nygyn. "Could it be... That orb must be what we are both thinking!"
Nygyn looks down and closes his eyes tightly. "I thought her very being was the embodiment of that power, but perhaps I was wrong... The orb... It must be the Void Essence orb!"
After saying that, the multicolored clouds of the Metempiric Space around them begin to slowly move away from them, making the air completely still.
Akuma turns toward Gilo, his eyes glowing slightly. "How did you find out how to decipher these texts anyway?"
"I have found out that all of the letters seem... folded on such complex levels. Even two of the same letters look different. Many of them fold into each other and create something difficult to decipher," Gilo explains. "I learned it through studying it for a long time. After that, I spent a trillion years deciphering each letter and learning more information."
He kneels and places a hand on the scroll and closes his eyes. Electricity shoots from his hands, a pure Void essence going into the scroll. As the other two watches in awe, all of the letters and symbols fade away.
He creates a portal and pushes the scroll through it. "I have now sealed it until I use it again. To tell you two the truth, I was a failed creation of Mother. I was a psuedo Caeleste."
"Another Caeleste has been cast down to this dump," Nygyn replies in disbelief. "I'm starting to see a pattern here... Why would Mother send all three of us to the Metempiric Space? Why can't she just kill Arhenahin herself?"
"I've been thinking the same thing," Akuma says. "I feel like there's something more happening behind the scenes. It's almost as if Mother is deliberately trying to gather all of the Caeleste into one place."
He turns toward Gilo. "You, I want you to teach me the powers of the Void."
Gilo sighs. "I suspected you were going to ask that. Very well. Meet me here in five hours and I will begin."
Akuma smirks and nods. "Good. Let's end the meeting for now. We will meet again later, Gilo."
He teleports away, leaving Nygyn and Gilo alone.
