In the first year, Luffy meets new friends and tries to discover his magical potential, facing off beasts, and learning new spells come along to this adventure.

5. Wingardium Leviosa and Trolls

Harry and Woods were carrying a chest full of Quiditch instruments so Harrry could have his first training before the big game coming up.

''Woods is just gonna be us for today? '' Asked Harry dragging the equipment with the older Gryffindor.

''No, we are waiting someone.'' Said Woods

''Who?'' Asked Harry

Soon a new face arrived, he was wearing a Gryffindor coat and had an orange hat on his back while eating a muffin.

''Hey Woods!'' Said Ace with a mouth full of food.

''Portagas!'' Said Woods going to greet his friend.

Harry saw that older student and he kind reminded him of someone. He couldn't remember who.

''right on time. Ace this is Harry Potter our new seeker.'' Said Woods

''Nice to meet you in person.'' Said Ace shaking Harry hand.

''Equally.'' Said Harry smiling at Ace

''So, you are the new seeker for Gryffindor?'' Asked Ace with a smirk

''Yes sir.'' Said Harry

''Catch this.'' Said Ace throwing his muffin at Harry face, the young wizard looked at Woods confused of what just happened

''Huh.'' Said Harry confused

''He didn't catch. Are you sure is seeker material, I mean I know he is James Potter son but..'' Said Ace to Woods a little dubious.

''He is new to this game Portagas, he learn to fly on his broom a few days ago.'' Said Woods.

''Alright sorry about that Potter. We´re cool?'' Asked Ace

''Sure.'' Said Harry accepting this apology, at least Ace tried to apologize.

Harry looked at Ace with a weird look, he looked awfully familiar to him with that big grim in his face and that goofy attitude.

''Ok now since we are all here about, we start with the training.'' Said Woods

''Sure Woods. But first of all, do you know my brother harry he is in the same year as you.'' Said Ace to Harry

''Your brother?'' Asked Harry confused

''Yeah his name is Luffy.'' Said Ace shocking Harry, that's why Ace looked so familiar.

''Your bother is Lufffy?!'' Asked Harry in shock

''Yeah do you hate him?"'' Asked Ace confused of such reaction.

''No, I don't have a problem with him is just he is so….out.'' Said Harry. Of all the Gryffindor luffy was definitely not normal.

''Well Luffy is not the normal guy neither here on the in the muggle world. So, tell me is he doing ok in Gryffindor?'' Asked Ace.

''Yeah, he a little off but overall, he is nice to everyone.'' Said Harry. He didn't hate Luffy, he just find him weird.

''That's goods to hear and his grades?"'' Asked Ace.

''Not good.'' Said Harry and Ace only laughs at that.

''He was never the smartest person in the group, but he has the best judged of character that I ever saw. If he likes you than that means you are cool.'' Said Ace with a smile

''Right.'' Said Harry not sure of what to say about this.

''Well enough with talk let's talk about Quidditch.'' Said Woods wanting to start practicing.

Soon the two older teens open the chest and explain most of the balls to Harry, however one seemed a little ´´off´´.

''Hey Woods, is that thing ready?'' Asked Ace

''Sure Ace.'' Said Woods

''Give the bat to me.'' Said Ace

Woods gave his friend the bat and soon Ace got a serious expression on his face, it was a very determined one. Harry was surprised to see Ace completely changing from all happy to serious in seconds.

''You better stack back Harry, I don't wanna see you lose your eyebrows.'' Said Ace with a smile.

''Sure.'' Said Harry a little nervous.

The young wizard stand back and saw that possessed ball trying to get out.

''Yeah, I hear you bastard!'' Scream Ace to the ball.

''Ready…go.'' Said Woods freeing the Bludger

Ace then saw the Bludger going toward Ace and in just a second the older teen hit the ball so hard that managed to fly all the way to the top of the school.

''Wow that's awesome'' Said Harry impressed by this

The ball then returned to hit Ace once again, but this time the teen was prepared.

''Fire Fist!' Scream Ace hitting the ball again but this time it was way harder than before

This strike made the Bludger caught fire and kind rolled out to make it stop, Ace only stay there smiling at his accomplishment.

''Wow.'' Said Harry amazed by that.

''Yeah wow for sure. That's how Ace got the tittle of ´´Fire First´´ around here.'' Said Woods looking at Ace.

''I just do my job as any player.'' Said Ace with a smile

''Look.'' Said Harry seeing that the Bludger was now free of fire

''He is coming back.'' Said Woods nervous

Ace saw that the ball was staring at him like if it was a rabid animal, but the older teen wasn't afraid of it.

''Come at me!'' Scream Ace and the ball hit him right in the stomach.

''Oh no.'' Said Harry nervous

'Got it.'' Said Ace grabbing the ball and putting back on its place, locked on the chest

''What is that?'' Asked Harry.

''Bludger a real problem. Leave it to me to deal with this.'' Said Ace with a smile

''And you the seeker go after this.'' Said Woods grabbing another ball

Woods then open a section of the chest and took out a little golden ball from it.

''The only ball that you need to concentrate is this one.'' Said Woods giving it to Harry

''What is this?'' Asked Harry

''Is the Golden snitch.'' Said Ace

''I like this one.'' Said Harry liking this little ball

''Sure, you like it now, but when is on the field he is gonna fly so fast that it will be impossible to see. Your job as the seeker is to catch this before the other team can, do it and we win the game even if the other team has a big score.'' Said Woods explaining the rules

''Isn't this a little unfair?'' Asked Harry.

''We didn't make the rules kid.'' Said Ace with a smile

Soon the ball open its wing and started to fly in the air, it was so fast that was impossible to see it making Harry amazed at.

''Wow its fast.'' Said Harry

''Yeah I just hope Luffy doesn't believe there is chocolate inside it.'' Said Ace

Woods and Harry only looked at Ace with a weird expression, it's good for Luffy to nerve be near this ball whatsoever

Charms Class

The professor Filius Flitwick was explaining to his young students today subject of this class, levitation.

''One of the wizards most elementary skills is levitation. The ability to make objects fly.'' Said Filius.

''Oh, so that what this mean.'' Said Luffy like he just realize that.

''Oh boy luffy.' Thought his friends and some of the other students.

''Well do you have your feathers?'' Asked Fillus

Everyone show off their large white feathers.

''Now don't forget the nice wrist movement. We called the ´´Wiish and Flick.´´ Come on try now.'' Said Filius

Wiiish and Flick. That what every student try at least once in this class

''Good and now annunciate ´´´Wingardium Leviosa´´. Of you go then.'' Said Filiius leaving the kid with a chance of doing the spell

Soon everyone was trying out and almost nobody was succeeding at this

''Wingardium Leviosa´´ Said many students

Some actually managed to make their feathers float a little bit but the rest weren't succeeding.

''Come on float.'' Said Luffy irritated as he pretty much poked the feather with his wand

''Why isn't this working.'' Said Usopp

Even Ron and Harry weren't succeeding until Hermione finally spoke

''Stop this. You are going to take someone eyes out. First you are saying wrong is Leviosa not Leviozaaaa.'' Said Hermione to Ron

''If you know so well why don't you try it.'' Asked him

''Wingardium Leviosa.'' Said her all simple

Everyone saw Hermione feather floating to the top of the class as everyone looked at her amazed at.

'Bravo miss Granger.'' Said the professor

''Well she did good, but her wrist was calm if she had done this way the feather could go higher'' Said Nami

'What are you saying?" Asked Hermione

''Wingardium Leviosa.'' Said Nami very fast and with much attention

Everyone saw Nami feather fly at a very fast pace, and it went to the ceiling of the class and it was a big class. This one made everyone gasp at this performance

''Excellent job miss Cristian, truly remarkable.'' Said professor Filius

''I just follow your instructions professor.'' Said Nami with a smile.

''Wow Nami you are so smart.'' Said Luffy

''Nami is so perfect that makes me jealous that I´m not in her house.'' Said Sanji all red

''Can you teach me this later. I need practice'' Said Usopp

''Sure, but its gonna cost by the minutes all of you.'' Said her to her friends

''Oh, come Nami.'' Said Luffy annoyed.

''A girl got to make a living.'' Said Nami with a smirk.

Hermione only looks irritated at the orange hair girl having so much attention given to her.

Sometime later

Outside

Luffy friends were walking out of the charms class and still discussing the name of the spell.

''Why is this charm class so dawn important?" Asked Zoro irritated.

''I don't know maybe because we are wizards and witches.'' Said Nami with a sweat drop.

''Yeah Zoro there is no way that Hogwarts is not gonna let you escape from learning spell.'' Said Usopp

''True.'' Said Sanji

''Swordfight is not much of wizard job, is more of a knight. I guess I came to the wrong school.'' Said Zoro rubbing his head

Soon they all saw Hermione Granger walking by, and she was downright angry at everything at sight. The group of Luffy saw her and wonder what could be the case.

''Hey isn't that Hermione? Why does she look so angry?'' Asked Usopp

Soon Luffy went there to know.

''Hey Mione, is something wrong?'' Asked Luffy

''Leave me alone;'' Said Hermione walking faster but Luffy could still keep pace with her.

''Hey I just wanna talk.'' Said Luffy now irriated.

''Oh really, why don't go talk to Nami since she is better at everything?!'' Scream Hermione storming out

Luffy didn't know what to do, he didn't know how girls talk. The only girls he ever talked were Makino, Rouge, Dadan and Nami, he doesn't any idea what is up with Hermione

''What's wrong with her?" Asked Usopp and he and the rest of Luffy friend appear to see what happened.

'I don't know, but she seen a little off. Nami do you know what is wrong with her?'' Asked Luffy

''Why?'' Asked Nami confused

''Well you are a girl. So, tell me what is wrong with Hermione.'' Said Luffy not realizing this was sexist.

''Like I know what is wrong with her? Besides why should she tell me, our houses hate each other guts.''' Said Nami, like Merlin a Gryffindor would talk to a Slytherin about personal stuff.

''True I heard both Gryffindor and Slytherin have the most competition for this House cup thing.' Said Sanji

''Well all we can do is just move forward with our day. Let's go we have another class.'' Said Zoro walking with his friends to the wrong direction of the school

''I just hope she is ok.'' Said Luffy worried about Hermione.

Later at Dinner

It was a feast like always, but today was full of candy and others sugary surprised and of course Luffy love those

''Hey Luffy, slow down.'' Said Neville.

''I can't its magic food. They will disappear if I don't eat.'' Said Luffy explaining his reason which made everyone looked confused.

''I can make better candy than this.'' Said Sanji biting a caramel apple.

''You can Sanji?'' Asked Neville

''Sure Neville. I can pick some ingredients and boom.'' Said Sanji.

''OH man your things taste amazing; I can't wait to have some of those.'' Said Seamus already liking this.

''Slow down Seamus, the ladies get the first try.'' Said Sanji looking at the Gryffindor girls which giggle at him

''Seriously Sanji.'' Said some of the boys of Gryffindor.

In a bit father section of the Gryffindor table Ace was eating normally while Jewerly Booney was munching her mounting of Pizza like always.

''Your brother is disgusting.'' Said Bonney seeing Luffy stuffed face.

''I know, the weird thing is that I´m the one with table manners of that family.'' Said Ace with a smile.

Ravenclaw Table

''Slow down Sabo.'' Said Koala looking at Sabo stuffing his face of sweets.

''Sorry Koala today is full of sweets. They are my favorites.'' Said Sabo with a smile

'You said that every night.'' Said Law annoyed by Sabo remarks

''Come Traffy relax. Here wants some sweet bread.'' Said Sabo giving Law the sweet.

''You know I hate bread.'' Said Law irritated

''There there darling.'' Said Monet hugging her boyfriend

''Boy you guys are a very odd couple.'' Said Sabo with a smile

''At least I have someone.'' Said Monet with a smirk making Sabo blush and the others laugh.

''Strike down Mignonga.'' Said Perona smirking.

''Stop Perona. What about you, I don't see you with a boyfriend.'' Said Sabo

''I have crushers.'' Said Perona.

''Ghost doesnt count.'' Said Sabo.

''Bummer.'' Said Nojiko laughing at this alongside Kuina, Sachi and Penguim upon seeing Perona depressed face.

Huffel puff table.

''And there I did some potions and the teacher like it so much that he gave me excellent grades for the entire semester.'' Said Usopp giving another lie to his housemates.

''Wow Usopp you truly are gifted.'' Said Wayne Hopkins amazed

''I know.'' Said Usopp with a smirk.

''But you need more practice your defense. You need more prep time.'' Said Tashigi

''Well I guess I have to learn a few tricks. I might not have the most powerful spells but I´m prepared to anything.'' Said Usopp showing his bag full of tricks, this way he has anything that he needs

''Nice.'' Said Wayne liking this.

At the Slytherin table

Nami had stopping eating her meal and wonder what happened to Hermione. What Luffy said was wrong, but she seemed really sad about something and Nami couldn't tell why.

''Do you feel something?'' Asked Zoro. He wasn't eating anything since he wasn't such a big fan of sweets.

''No, I don't. Hey what do you think Hermione was up after encountering Luffy?" Asked her

''Probably crying for an hour.'' Said Zoro

Nami wanted to hit him but that was probably true.

''I´m going to the bathroom hold my seat.'' Said Nami to Zoro

'I make no promises.'' Said him.

Nami then walked out of the dining hall and walked towards the girl's bathroom of Hogwarts, or the only girls bathroom.

''Why we have only one girl bathroom in this giant castle. Is sad when gas stations in the muggle world have better health system.'' Thought Nami irritated.

She soon arrived there and after washing her face she could hear someone making noises in that place.

''Is someone here?" Asked Nami wondering if she was alone

Nobody answered but then Nami looked at the boxers and saw a shadow.

''You can't hide your shadow from me.'' Said Nami with an annoyed grout.

''Go away!'' Scream Hermione

''Hermione?"' Said Nami confused

''I don't wanna speak to you!'' Said Hermione all angry.

Nami then picks her wand and aim to the bathroom lock door.

''Alohomora.'' Said Nami opening the door.

''Huh'' Said Hermione confused at that.

''Do you think a lock door is a match for me? Even without a wand I was good in breaking lockets.'' Said Nami with a smirk.

''What do you want?" Asked Hermione irritated.

''Why are you crying?'' Asked Nami

''It doesn't matter to you.'' Said Hermione irritated

''Ok. Not my problem, goodbye.'' Said Nami trying to pretend she didn't care so Hermione could speak out the true. And it worked

''Is just…how can you be so perfect?!'' Asked Hermione all irritated

''What?'' Asked Nami confused.

''You are doing better than me in everything. Your grades are on pair with me, you have more friends, you are just….argh.'' Said Hermione all irritated.

''Is that why are you so angry? Jealousy?" Asked Nami

''I don't know. This is all new for me.'' Said Hermione

''Hermione is ok for a girl to be jealous of another. Didn't you have jealousy at your friends before Hogwarts?" Asked Nami trying to sympathize with the girl

''I don't know I didn't have any friends.'' Said Hermione all sad

''Where did you go before here?'' Asked Nami.

''To a muggle school. I was always out of place there no matter what.'' Said Hermione

''Really?'' Asked Nami

''My parents are non-wizards so even be around them is difficult. And you went to a witch school?" Asked Hermione.

''No, me and my sister are adopted. Our mother is muggle we went to a muggle schools, to be honest I would be fine there.'' Said Nami with a smile

''Then why are you here?'' Asked Hermione confused.

''Hey, I have power and I need to control it, this way I can make money.'' Said Nami with a smirk.

''Is money the only thing that you think about it?" Asked Nami irritated this was such a Slytherin thing.

''Kind. Everyone has their dark side.'' Said Nami with a smirk

''No wonder you are a Slytherin.'' Said Hermione.

Nami then got insulted by Hermione remark that she grabbed the girl hair and dragged to the mirror of the bathroom.

''Ouch'' Said Hermione with pain

''First thing look at you.'' Said Nami showing Hermione face to the mirror

''What?" Asked her

''Observe.'' Said Nami cleaning Hermione face

Nami then cleaned Hermione face and show that the Gryffindor girl was indeed pretty and not such a clumsy mess like she thought.

''See your face, is pretty. You have potential.'' Said Nami with a smile

''Really?" Asked Hermione

''Now let's fix you up.'' Said Nami with a smile

''You think I can have a chance into making more friends?" Asked Hermione

''Sure, and besides I think you have some subjects that you are better than me.'' Said Nami

''Really?'' Asked Hermione surprised

''I suck at potions and I saw that you have potential, can you help me?'' Asked Nami.

''Well…I guess.'' Said Hermione confused.

''See not too bad. Besides you can put your ego aside for a minute.'' Said Nami

''I don't have an ego.'' Said Hermione.

''Trust me. You Gryffindor always talk about us being evil, but you guys are also very cocky.'' Said Nami.

The two share a laugh and then Nami decided to help Hermione a little more

''Here let me fix your hair.'' Said Nami

Soon Hermione looked normal, like she wasn't even crying.

''There.'' Said Nami.

''Thank you.'' Said Hermione smiling

''Sure, besides I´m studying on the library this Saturday wanna come?" Asked Nami

''You are inviting me to study?" Asked Hermione

''Yeah sure that what friends are for.'' Said Nami

''Friends you and me?'' Asked Hermione confused.

''You just be around. Besides is better than just stay with a bunch of boys.'' Said Nami.

''Is because I don't have other options. Even the girls from my house barely talk to me.'' Said Hermione.

''I hang around with just one boy from my house, the rest are from other houses. We made our friendship on the train; the same way I think you did to Harry and Ron.'' Said Nami

''True.'' Said Hermione with a smile.

''Great. Now come here let me give you a hug because you need it.'' Said Nami

The two hugs to start their friendship but this sweet moment was cut when Nami smelled something awfull

''Snif Snig. Didnt you flush?" Asked Nami amkign Hermione blush.

''Wait. I didn't really use the bathroom this entire time, I was crying.'' Said Hermione confused

''Wait if this smell isn't you then what….'' Asked Nami

Soon the two looked at a huge troll, green and drooling at them. He was giant and looked like he was stronger than anything they have faced yet in this school. Of course, he scream and the two did the same thing

''AAAAAAAH'' Scream the girls.

Back at the Dinner hall

Everybody was panicking at the announcement from Professor Quinrel about a Troll having escape a dungeon. All he said is that he saw the Troll going to the girl's bathroom.

''Girl bathroom.'' Said two groups of boys

''Hermione!'' Said Harry and Ron

''Nami!'' Said Luffy, Zoro, Sanji and Usopp

Soon the two group went running toward the bathroom where the monster was attacking their friends.

Girls Bathroom

The two girls were hiding from the troll who was swing his clobber around like an idiot. That was making the two witches very scared

''Nami do you have something to counterattack?'' Asked Hermione.

''Me. Are you crazy? You love to read spells books; do you know any major defense spells?" Asked her.

''I don't know any, they are to advance to us. Do you know any spell to counter attack?" Asked Hermione

''No.'' Said Nami

''URGH. Raaaah'' Scream the troll swinging his club

''aaaaah'' Scream the girls

Soon the group of 6 boys arrived to deal with this and they saw their friends in a jist.

''Hermione!'' Scream Harry and Ron

''NAMI!'' Scream Luffy friend

''Help!'' Said the two hugging each other in fear.

''Leave her alone you ugly thing.'' Said Sanji

Sanji took of his wand and started to generate a few sparks, it amused the troll but it made him mad that he pulled Sanji away. Making the blonde hit his head on a wall

''Nice job there Romeo.'' Said Zoro with a smirk

''Shut up you idiot at least I tried something. Now try you.'' Said Sanji

''Let me try this.'' Said Zoro with a smirk.

Zoro took from his robe his sword and he swing at the troll. The monster is hit by the weapon, but he had a tough skin, enough to not bleed and having strength still to launch Zoro to the side.

''Arght.'' Said the troll punching Zoro.

''Hurhg'' Said the green haired wizard.

''Zoro!'' Scream Luffy and Usopp

''Look out!'' Said Harry seeing the troll attacking

Everybody took cover over those attacks, that monsters was out of control and is was a matter of time before he hurt someone

''He is out of control.'' Said Ron

''Does somebody have any idea?" Asked Usopp

Luffy then thought about all the options and then an idea appeared to him

'''Wait! I have an idea.'' Said Luffy

''YOU!'' Said the others.

''Yeah. Harry lets poke him on the nose, this way he can't concentrate.'' Said Luffy to Harry

''This sound crazy that might actually work.'' Said Harry agreeing with Luffy

Soon the two managed to climb the troll from behind and them they started to poke him in the nose

''Got you.'' Said Harry

''Take this ugly thing!'' Scream Luffy

Soon the Troll was just looking annoyed with two wands stuck to his nose.

''It's not working.'''' Said Harry horrified

''Usopp Ron do something!'' Said Luffy to the two boys

''Ugh can you do today spell?''' Asked Usopp

''A little bit. I just need some practice.'' Said Ron

The two picked their wands and then Hermione saw what they were trying to do and decided to give some help.

''Wave the wand and pronunciate correct.'' Said her

''Winguardium Leviosa.'' Said the two pointing at the troll club

The club then float leaving the troll confused, soon he looked up to where his weapon was, and it fall on him making in unconscious and hit the floor hard.

''Is he down!' Said Usopp in relive.

Sanji went and kick the troll in the face to see any reaction. It scared everyone but the troll didn't get up.

''He is out.'' Said Sanji

''Good we are safe.'' Said Hermione.

Harry and luffy went to pick out their wands and they were covered in Troll bugger.

''Ugh. Troll bugger.'' Said Harry.

''Cool.''' Said Luffy looking at that.

''don't you dare put this in your mouth.'' Said Nami glaring at Luffy

Soon the teachers all appeared, and they saw all this mess with the students. There was Minerva, Snape, Robin and Quinrel

''Oh my…'' Said Minerva in shock.

''Hey professors.'' Said Luffy with a smile

''what just happen here?" Asked Snape

''Let me do the talk. For you see professor we were walking down to our dorms when suddenly we saw this troll sleeping here and then we decided to make sure he stayed down.'' Said Usopp giving the cheapest excuse possible

Nobody buy that lied, not even the people who deal with the monster

''Mr Straight if you don't wanna lose 20 points I suggest to you stay quiet for the time.'' Said Minerva to Usopp who only gulped.

''So, what happened here?" Asked Minerva

''It was my fault professor.'' Said Hermione

''Us we did this together.'' Said Nami surprising everyone.

''Nami…'' Said Hermione looking at the girl confused but Nami kept talking

''don't you dare blame everything on yourself Hermione. Don't you remember we dare to deal with a troll, but we were wrong? We called our friends to help us and this was the only way that the beast was taken down." Asked Nami trying to share the blame for something none of them did.

Everybody was not sure what to say about this. Soon Minerva decided to give the punishment.

''We are very disappointed to you two. You are lucky to survived, most people don't have this luck. Five points will be taken from Gryffindor.'' Said Minerva to Hermione.

''As for you miss Christian for this stupid five point will be taken out of Slytherin'' Said Snape to Nami.

''As for you gentlemen, what you did was otherly reckless and dangerous. Not many first years can fight a troll and live to tell the tale. 5 points…will be granted.'' Said Minerva surprising everyone

''Really?" Asked Luffy, so pretty much nobody lost any points.

''And since I see Ronoroa Zoro also try to fight the troll using his sword that show how determined he was to taken out the beast. 10 points to Slytherin.'' Said Snape to Zoro who only smirks at this.

''Do I get any points. I helped.' Said Usopp

''We will need to talk to Professor Sprout about this miss Straight, she will give her answer in the morning.'' Said Minerva to Usopp

''Sure.'' Said Usopp relived.

''Luffy are you ok?" Asked Robin worried for Luffy

''Yes, I am Robin.'' Said Luffy

''I know you love adventure but you still a first year. Please don't make me this nervous again.'' Said Robin

''Is ok. I´m sorry.'' Said Luffy to her.

''Well, I´m glad to hear that. Few months in and you help defeat a troll.'' Said Robin

''Professor Robin you know that they survive by sheer dumb luck.'' Said Snape

''Yeah and this is the best kind luck.'' Said luffy

Everybody only rolls their eyes at luffy remark and the only ones laughing were Harry and Robin.

''We will this more about this later, now return to your houses. Its near curfew time.'' Said Minerva.

''Yes professor.'' Said Nami

''We will walk by ourselves.'' Said Ron.

''Go…ooo...ddd too…oo seee yyoo..uu a..ll ffifinnee'' Said Quinreal

But Luffy didn't buy that, he still had the voices telling him that Quinrel was not good.

'Where were you doing when the troll was out?" Asked Luffy raising a good question

''I waa…s. goo gooign to tto the bathroom whe. I spoouttted the Troll.'' Said Quinrel.
