Flynn: With that taken care of, I slipped inside JobTrain and sprinted towards one of the rooms at the far right.
Upon entering cautiously, I heard a snore, a whistle, and a hmm, which came from...the Three Stooges, all of whom were sleeping on one of the tables.
"You've got to be kidding me." I said to myself.
I knew I had to get them out of there before they wake up and turn me in.
So I pulled the table the Stooges were sleeping on away from the wall and pushed it out the door and into the hall.
Once that was done, I let out a sigh of relief. "Alone at last."
But before I could look inside my bag, I heard the voice of Larry call out. "Hey! Who moved our bed into the hall?"
"Ah, it must've been Gru McCrankypants." said the voice of Moe.
"Gru? What makes you think it was Gru?" asked the voice of Nathan.
Realizing that they were coming inside, I dashed towards the fridge, right before Moe and Larry pushed the table back in, while Curly, the third stooge was still asleep.
"Ah, he's probably thinking of a way to get rid of us." said Moe.
"Is it because you keep sleeping on top of the tables?" asked Nathan.
"Nah, he thinks we can't do anything right." replied Larry.
"I do not think," said Gru, who heard everything. "I know you can't do anything right!"
Staring down at Curly, still asleep on the table, Gru slammed his fist onto his stomach, waking him up.
"Say, what's the idea of ruining a beautiful dream?" Curly demanded.
"Nobody cares about your stupid dream." said Gru.
Curly's temper boiled over as he got off the table.
"Listen, you!" he started before Rapunzel cut in, saying. "Guys, come on. There's no need to fight about this. We're all friends here."
"Just because we're in the same program," said Gru. "That doesn't make us 'friends.'"
"Yet." added Larry.
As Nathan put on one of the chef uniforms, he spotted on one of the working tables in the kitchen.
"Uh, guys? Whose bag is this?"
That's when I realized I left my satchel out there!
I wanted to pop out of the fridge and get it back but I couldn't because Rapunzel, the Stooges and Gru had already walked over there to have a closer look.
"It's not your bag, isn't it, Nathan?" asked Larry.
"Of course not." replied Nathan. "I already have one...that's red."
The guys, including Pascal, looked at Rapunzel, who said. "Don't look at me. I've got my own."
"Well, what about you, Krishna?" Moe asked Krishna the moment she stepped into the kitchen. "Is this your bag?"
"Pfft. Nope." replied Krishna, who held up her own bag. "Whose is it, anyway?"
"Well, there ain't no address label, that's for sure." said Moe as he looked through my satchel, from which Curly pulled something out.
"Oh, boy. Glasses! Nyuk, nyuk, nyuk." he exclaimed, putting "them" on.
Upon seeing that, I palmed my face in frustration. How stupid is this guy?
"And what makes you think they're glasses?" asked Moe.
"I can't see without the glasses." replied Curly.
"That's only in your mind. I'll prove it to you." said Moe, who took the "glasses" off of him and pulled out a nearby recipe. "Here. How many degrees does this go in for?"
"Four." Curly blurted out.
"You're crazy. It's more than that." said Moe.
"See? I told you, I need the glasses." said Curly as he took the "glasses" and put them back on.
"Read this recipe."
"What recipe?"
"Nyahh-ahhh!" Moe exclaimed in frustration.
"What's happening, y'all?" asked another voice.
I closed the fridge door a tad bit as JJ and everyone else came inside.
"Oh, we found these glasses inside this bag." explained Curly.
Vickie looked closer at it, then asked. "And what makes you think they're glasses?"
"That's exactly what I said." said Moe.
"Those are not glasses, you morons!" snarled Gru as he pulled the "glasses" off of Curly, who asked. "Well, if they ain't glasses, what are they?"
"Looks more like an 'it' than a 'they.'" said Krishna upon further inspection.
"'It?'" repeated Curly.
"What are ya yappin' about, Krishna?" asked Moe.
"Just look." said Krishna as she walked over to Rapunzel...and placed what is actually a crown on the top of her head.
Everyone, especially Gru's little Minions, were in shock with what they saw, including me.
"Could it be possible?" asked Larry.
"Naw, it couldn't be." said Moe.
"Could it?" asked Curly.
As Nathan looked at them with a confused look, he turned back to see a car park outside.
"Chef's here!" he called out, then played some music* on the computer.
From what I can tell, it was his way to alert everyone that someone was coming.
Even the Minions were in a scared frenzy just by hearing that music, some of them rushed out of the kitchen and hid under the tables in the other room.
"Hey, yo, watch it!" JJ called out.
"Oh, my." said Vickie.
"What the..." said Big D.
The rest of the Minions hurried into the fridge, where I quickly ducked out of sight the moment they rushed inside.
Well, the rest, except for Bob, who pounded on the door as Chef Adam entered the kitchen through the back, took notice of the scene, and turned to the chefs, who, then, turned to see the Minions cowering in fear under the tables.
"Hey, next time, save the music for the real Wicked Witch of the West." Moe whispered to Nathan.
By the end of the day, everyone had gathered up their stuff and headed for home.
"Not bad for your first week, huh?" Rapunzel asked Nathan, who replied. "Well, I was hoping it would be better than high school. And believe me, there was hardly a single memory to recall while I was there."
"Oh, thank goodness they're gone." I said to myself, relieved that there were no more voices heard from outside the fridge. "Now, to get outta here!"
But when I tried to open the door, it wouldn't budge.
"What the...Locked?"
I tried knocking and banging on it.
"Hello? Anyone out there? Open the door! OPEN THE DOOR!"
But still...nothing. The door remain locked and I was stuck inside the freezing cold fridge.
At first, I thought I was going to panic, but instead, I calmly said to myself. "Hold it together, Rider. Someone will realize you're gone and come looking for you. Yeah. Yeah, that's right. I'll be out of here in no time."
Author's Note:
*The music I was playing whenever Chef Adam comes in was Miss Gulch's introduction from "The Wizard of Oz."
