Nathan: Unfortunately, the other chefs didn't want to hear any of it. All they did was protesting that they want to go home right away.
"Order!" Flynn called out, using a meat tenderizer as a gavel. "ORDER! ORDER!"
"OK, I'll have some apple pie and whipped cream." said Curly.
"And I'll take some burned toast and a rotten egg." said Larry.
"Burned toast and a rotten egg?" repeated Flynn.
"Yeah, I've got a tapeworm inside and that's good enough for him."
As Larry spoke, Moe grabbed the tenderizer and hit him, Curly...and Flynn on the head.
"Ow! Why'd you do that for?" asked Flynn. "I'm not a stooge."
"Mind your P's and Q's." said Moe, waving the tenderizer at him.
"Don't forget to dot the I's." said Curly.
"Certainly." said Moe, who poked him in the eyes, then tried to do the same for Larry, but he blocked the blow with his hand.
As Larry stuck his tongue out, Moe hit him on the head with the tenderizer, making him bite his tongue.
Tawanna cleared her throat. "Y'all got something to say?"
"Oh, sorry, Tawanny." said Moe.
"It's Ta-wann-AH!" corrected Tawanna.
"What-ev-AH!" Flynn said back.
"Quiet!" said Moe, who hit him on the head again with the tenderizer, then told the other chefs. "Now, listen. Gothel's been pushing us over the edge for too long that it's time we rebelled against her. Any ideas?"
The chefs looked at each other and tried to think of something.
"Oh, I know! We could lock her up inside her office." suggested Robert. "That way, she won't come in and tell us 'no.'"
"Or better yet," added Big D. "Break what's left of our dishes."
"That could work." said Krishna. "But you're all forgetting one very important thing."
"What?" asked the other chefs.
"The cameras?" reminded Krishna. "Gothel can see and hear everything through them 24/7."
"Oh, yeah." said the chefs.
"Blumock." Stuart said again.
"Well...uh...does anyone else have an idea that'll actually work?" asked Big D.
Gru scoffed. "No chance of that. It's not like we can just sneak Rapunzel out of her tower while Gothel's away."
Upon hearing Gru's words, Moe felt an idea sparking inside of him.
"I think you might be onto something, Gruski." he said.
"I am?" asked Gru.
"He is?" I asked.
"Listen," said Moe. "With Mommy Gothel away for the weekend, it'll be easy to slip Rapunzel out and back into the tower without that wicked witch being the wiser."
"Ooh!" exclaimed the chefs and Minions.
"Do you really think we should do something this risky?" asked Krishna. "I mean, if we're caught on video, inside or outside JobTrain, we'll get in trouble for it."
"Well, risky or not, it's a shot worth taking." said Flynn. "Now, all those in favor of sneaking Blondie out of the tower say 'Aye.'"
Already, the chefs raised their hands and shouted out. "AYE!"
Having raised his hands as well along with the other Minions, Bob motioned for Gru to raise his own hand, which he reluctantly did.
"Aye, I guess."
"Same here." added Krishna, who raised her hand as well. "But I still don't think it would work."
"Neither do I." said Rapunzel, whom we all looked at in surprise.
"Now, why would you say that when we're only trying to help you?" asked Larry.
"Look, as much as I appreciate your help," said Rapunzel. "I just can't go against Mother's wishes. We could all be in big trouble if she finds out. Besides, the outside world is very dangerous."
Flynn and I looked at each other, then at Rapunzel.
"Well, you may be right about one thing, Rapunzel." I said. "But know this. Nobody wants to stay cooped up here forever. You have four days to think it over."
"Four days?" said Rapunzel.
"That's when we take the trip to Yahoo." I said while walking back to the classroom, where I grabbed my book bag.. "That should give you plenty of time to decide. Don't keep us waiting until the last minute.
"Come on, Flynn. We got a bus to catch."
As we walked out of Room 48, Flynn asked. "Do you think she'll change her mind by then?"
"Well, Rapunzel can't stay inside JobTrain for the rest of her life." I said. "Think about what she's missing."
Rapunzel: As Pascal and I stared out of my tower window later in the day, I thought about what Nathan said.
I really do want to go on this trip with my friends, but I still can't help but think about Mother's warnings.
I've got my mother's love
I shouldn't ask for more
I've got so many things
I should be thankful for
Yes, I have everything
Except, I guess, a door
Perhaps it's better that I stay in
But tell me, when will my life begin?
