Author's Note:

When you get to where Rapunzel, Flynn and I were sent to Gothel's office, play the music from "Madagascar: Escape 2 Africa," where Alex and his family were banished.

Until then, onto Rapunzel's turn narrating the story.

"That was so fun!" I exclaimed as we walked towards JobTrain.

"Fun? That wasn't fun. That was torture!" snapped Nathan. "Now, starting a probem-free day at class? That's my idea of fun, especially after what we've been through this past weekend."

"I think I'm with Nate on this one." Flynn whispered to me.

But as we got the doors, they slide open, revealing...

"Mother?"

"You! My office! Now!" she said angrily.

In her office, we just sat there as Mother said. "I consider myself a reasonsble woman. I set certain rules. And I expect those rules to be obeyed!"

"Pfft. So we broke one lousy rule." scoffed Flynn. "What's the big deal?"

"You've just broken the most important rule of all!" said Mother. "Rapunzel is not allowed to leave the tower for any reason! Ever!"

"Wha...that's the most important ru..." stammered Flynn. "That's the stupidest rule I've ever heard."

"Well, what's really stupid..." said Mother. "...is filling Rapunzel's head with your dangerous ideas!"

"Hey, the ideas we come up with are not dangerous." said Nathan. "And even if we did break rule numer one, all we did was show Rapunzel what the outside world is really like."

"The world, Mr. Rosenberg, is dark, selfish, and cruel." Mother said coldly, closing the window blinds. "And if it finds even the tiniest bit of sunlight, it destroys it."

"That's a lie!" said Nathan. "You're just saying that to keep her trapped in here. Isn't that right, Rapunzel?"

Before I could get a chance to speak, Mother cut me off, telling Nathan. "Rapunzel has no say in this! In fact, none of you will have a say on anything ever again."

"Wha...are you telling us to keep our mouths shu...?" asked Flynn, who noticed his poster hanging on the bulletin board.

"You can't keep us quiet, Gothel." said Nathan. "We have the right to speak for ourselves."

"Not anymore, Mr. Rosenberg!" sneered Gothel. "As long as you attend your classes under my watchful eye, there will be no freedom of speech."

"But, Mother..." I began to speak, but Mother cut me off again, saying. "There will be no more buts, Rapunzel! As of right now, you are to remain silent for the rest of your time here at JobTrain. Anything you say will be used against you. And if I hear a single word out of place, you will all be removed from the Culinary Arts Program. Is that clear?"

"But, Mother..."

"IS THAT CLEAR?!"

Looking back at Flynn and Nathan, who angrily stared at me, then at Mother, realizing there was no longer a way to reason with her, I sadly replied. "Yes, Mother."
