"I always hated the sound of thunder." Nathan said as we heard it from inside the bus, which we got off when it stopped across the street from JobTrain.
"Well, at least it won't hurt us inside the kitchen, am I right?" I asked.
"Thunder ain't the only thing you should be scared about, boys." a voice replied from inside the bushes, which were parted by...
"Lady Caine?" I said in shock.
"And it ain't the only thing that'll hurt ya." added Pocket, who appeared out of another bush.
"Oh, no." I groaned.
"Oh, ho, ho, yes!" sneered Sideburns as he, Patchy and the rest of the gang emerged from the bushes, swords at hand.
"Nathan, get to the other side." I whispered.
"What? Why?" asked Nathan.
"It's me they want, not you." I explained.
"Actually, it's both of you we want." Caine said, pointing her dagger at us.
"GO! NOW!" I shouted to Nathan, who ran as fast as he could across the street to JobTrain while I ended up getting grabbed and hauled away by Otter, who said. "Well, at least we get to finish you off first."
"No, wait!" I pleaded, realizing they still intend to hurt Nathan. "You can't do this! He's only a kid! Please!"
Nathan: I didn't stop running until I made it inside Room 48, where Rapunzel asked. "Nathan, are you alright?"
"Yeah, you look like someone mugged ya out there." added Larry.
"That's...just it." I said between breaths. "Those muggers...they got...they got...MAX! MAX!"
"They got Max?" asked Curly.
"Quiet, you imbecile." said Moe, who bonked him on the head.
I hurried to the back door, where Max stood outside and neighed as if he was saying "You called?"
"It's Eugene, Max! He's been taken by a group of muggers." I explained. "Please, will you help find him?"
Having growing fond of Eugene himself, Max nodded, giving me a salute, and was about to take off until Rapunzel said. "Max, wait. You'll need someone to be your lookout."
To my surprise, she was referring to Pascal, who leapt from her shoulder to the top of Max's head.
"You're letting Pascal go with Max? But...the cats..."
"...can't catch him if he's invisible, right?" asked Rapunzel, who motioned to Pascal, who disappeared and reappeared, then winked at me, hinting that he'll be fine.
Although it seemed risky, especially with Meowrice and his henchcats out there, I gave both animals a nod.
After he and Pascal nodded back, Max galloped at top speed.
"Whoo-hoo!" exclaimed Bob as he, Kevin and Stuart hopped onto him. "Giddy aka, horsey!"
Upon seeing this along with the rest of us, Gru let out a groan. "Minions."
As the Minions and Pascal rode Max further away from JobTrain, Kevin noticed something up in the sky.
"Ka tawt ka taw a trio de gippea puddy tats!" he said.
Max and Pascal looked up to see Tin, Pan, and Alley flying over them.
Pascal turned invisible, but that didn't stop the cats from using their chameleon-detecting goggles.
"No use hiding from us, li'l mate." sneered Alley. "Get 'em!"
He, Pan and Tin swooped down, only to be hit by one of the frying pans that Stuart took from the JobTrain kitchen.
Having gone down, Tin said through his earpiece. "Black Squad, we need backup!"
"Yeah, definitely need backup." Pan said through his earpiece.
As the animals and Minions rode further into Downtown Menlo Park, Meowrice's Shadow Cats flew down from the trees, each of them plucking a Minion...and Pascal!
Max let out a whinny as if he was crying out "No!"
"Pem'll be tem, Gnu!" Kevin called out. "Sola go pen Jewsop!"
Seeing that Tin, Pan and Alley are catching up with him, Max outran them while the Shadow Cats took the Minions and Pascal to their boss's lair.
